10 BOOKS THAT WILL LITERALLY BLOW YOUR MIND & HAVE YOU READING UNTIL THE LAST PAGE

BY ARJUN WALIA

This is an updated version of an article weve. We will continue to update the list and re-publish

it for those who are interested in some good reads!

Reading is incredible. It sparks our imaginations, enhances our critical thinking skills, improves

our vocabulary, exercises our brain, and much more. While our love for reading in general

will never die, it does seem that, these days, its popularity has waned significantly. Many

kids today, and plenty of adults too, cant seem to wrap their heads around sitting and

doing nothing for any extended amount of time when they could instead experience

new and intense sensory information every few seconds instead. Youd be hard-pressed

to find a child (or teen) that wont throw a fit the moment you take their cell phone

or iPad away from them, and its not illogical to wonder if children today are even using

their brains; surely the constant TV watching and time spent on social media doesnt challenge

their minds in the way that a book can. Whether youre an adult or a child, reading is definitely

a good idea; the key is to find something that interests you. The rest is easy.

The list of books below represents just a few that Im sure CE readers will enjoy,

so have a look if youd like to add something new and exciting to your reading list.

Supernormal: Science, Yoga & The Evidence For Extraordinary Psychic Abilities

As with Dr. Radins previous work, this book is thoroughly researched, clearly written,

and immensely engaging. Once again, he has pushed the boundaries of religion, science,

psychology, and philosophy. Invaluable reading!

Dr. Michael Bloch, University of San Francisco

Above is just one of many great reviews of this book. Dean Radin, the author, is the

Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He has published a number of papers

on the science of parapsychology. Topics within this realm include distant healing, remote

viewing, precognition, and near-death experiences, among others.

The book examines the science behind these extraordinary abilities, and whether yoga

and meditation can unleash our inherent supernormal mental powers. It touches on several different

topics, from ancient teachings of mystics and the theories of quantum physics to successful

experiments in the field. Radin offers powerful evidence which confirms that sometimes fact

is indeed stranger than fiction, and sometimes more wonderful than we could ever have imagined.

Altered Genes, Twisted Truth: How the Venture to Genetically Engineer Our Food Has Subverted

Science, Corrupted Government, and Systematically Deceived the Public

This is an excellent book and very relevant today, given how many countries around the

world have now banned genetically modified products. It was written by Steven M. Druker,

J.D, who is the Executive Director at the Alliance for Bio-Integrity.

The book has captured the attention of hundreds of scientists, including Joseph Cummins, Ph.D.,

a Professor Emeritus of Genetics at Western University in London, Ontario, who raved about

the book: Altered Genes, Twisted Truth will stand as a landmark. It should be required

reading in every university biology course.

David Schubert, Ph.D, a molecular biologist and the Head of Cellular Neurobiology at the

Salk Institute for Biological Studies, agrees with him:

This incisive and insightful book is truly outstanding. Not only is it well-reasoned

and scientifically solid, its a pleasure to read and a must-read. Through its masterful

marshalling of facts, it dispels the cloud of disinformation that has misled people into

believing that GE foods have been adequately tested and dont entail abnormal risk.

Stephan Naylor, PhD, CEO and Chairman of MaiHealth Inc, and formerly a professor of Biology and

Molecular Biology and Pharmacology at the Mayo Clinic for 10 years, offers further praise:

Steven Drukers meticulously documented, well-crafted, and spellbinding narrative should

serve as a clarion call to all of us. In particular, his chapter detailing the deadly epidemic

of 1989-90 that was linked with genetically engineered food supplements was especially

significant. I and my Mayo Clinic colleagues were active participants in the attempt to

identify the cause of this epidemic. Druker provides a comprehensive analysis of all the

evidence and also presents new findings from our work. Overall his discussion of this tragic

event, as well as its ominous implications, is the most comprehensive, evenly balanced

and accurate account that I have read

As you can see it has some great reviews, which is refreshing to see considering that

mainstream media never shares this side of the story.

UFOs for the 21st Century Mind: A Fresh Guide to an Ancient Mystery

This book was written by Richard Dolan, one of the worlds leading researchers and writers

on the subject of UFOs. He also authored UFOs and the National Security State, and both

books are ground-breaking works which together provide the most factually complete and accessible

narrative of the UFO subject available anywhere. Dolan co-authored a speculative book about

the future as well, called A.D. After Disclosure, which was the first-ever analysis not only

of how UFO secrecy might end, but also of the all-important question: what happens next?

Dolan believes UFOs constitute the greatest mystery of our time.

UFOs for the 21st Century Mind has received incredible reviews. Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar

Mitchell called the book monumental, and Hal Puthoff, one of the chief scientists involved

in the U.S. Governments Stargate program, said that its a must read for serious students

in the field.

Prior to his interest in UFOs, Richard completed his graduate work at the University of Rochester,

where he studied U.S. Cold War strategy, European history, and international diplomacy. Before

that, he had studied at Alfred University and Oxford University, and was a finalist

for a Rhodes scholarship.

For beginners and experienced researchers alike, historian Richard Dolan covers the

full range of this incredibly complex topic in this book. He offers insights into everything

connected to UFOs: ancient aliens, modern encounters, abductions, channellers, the politics

and cover-up, the black budget world, the bizarre science, the social dimensions (YouTube

and Facebook), the future, and much more.

In addition, as one of UFOlogys pioneers in the deep analysis of the cover-up, he offers

an original perspective on how it all works and why the cover-up is bound to end. He also

writes on the nature of contact, speculating on who these Others might be. Finally,

Dolan takes the reader through the weird science of UFOs, covering everything from

propulsion and spacetime to consciousness and more.

The topic of Unidentified Flying Objects has gained a tremendous amount of popularity in

recent years, especially after their existence was verified by dozens of governments in documents

released via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and by academicians and high-ranking

military and political personnel. Keep in mind that UFO does not mean extraterrestrial,

but when you have objects at very high altitudes performing maneuvers that defy our known laws

of physics, its easy to see why some people make that connection.

To see what happens when the military tracks a UFO on radar, you can read THIS article

we published on the subject.

HERE is another great example that comes from the Canadian Air Force.

The Secret Teachings Of All Ages

Manly P. Hall published this book in 1928, shortly after he became a respected lecturer

and interpreter of ancient writings. It dives into a number of different topics, but mostly

focuses on philosophy, occult philosophy, and the teachings of secret societies. He

himself was a member of the Rosicrucian Fellowship and a 33rd degree Mason.

Below are just a few of the rave reviews he has received.

A masterful summation of the esoteric teachings of the ages.

 Huston Smith, Ph.D., Author.

Into this volume has been compressed the quintessence of a colossal learning. It is

a living human document, pulsating with the mental and spiritual vibrations of a profound

thinker who takes knowledge for his province and reduces whole libraries to a single tome.

George Barron, Curator of the De Young Museum of San Francisco

Simply put, this is the most beautiful and complete occult book ever published. It

represents a lifetime of research into the mythology, symbolism, and magical practices

of countless cultures. From the secrets of Isis to the teachings of mystic Christianity,

nearly every occult dogma imaginable is represented here. This is the definitive guide to secret

societies, famous figures, and more.

 Liewellyn New Times

Manly Halls great work is a classic in the worlds literature. It will guide

historians, philosophers, and lay seekers of esoteric wisdom for centuries.

Edgar Mitchell, Sc.D., Apollo 14 astronaut

Fingerprints Of The Gods

So much of what we know about our ancient history has been lost; we are essentially

a species with amnesia. Whether it be giant skeletons or remnants of Atlantis, there is

much evidence suggesting that the story of mankind might be far older than we think.

In his book, Hancock presents strong arguments for this view.

Below is a summary of this work:

In Fingerprints of the Gods, Hancock embarks on a worldwide quest to put together all the

pieces of the vast and fascinating jigsaw of mankinds hidden past. In ancient monuments

as far apart as Egypts Great Sphinx, the strange Andean ruins of Tiahuanaco, and Mexicos

awe-inspiring Temples of the Sun and Moon, he reveals not only the clear fingerprints

of an as-yet-unidentified civilization of remote antiquity, but also startling evidence

of its vast sophistication, technological advancement, and evolved scientific knowledge.

The Afterlife Experiments: Breakthrough Scientific Evidence of Life After Death

Gary E. Swartz is a professor of psychology, medicine, neurology, psychiatry, and surgery

at the University of Arizona. He is also the Director of its Laboratory for Advances in

Consciousness and Health.

In this book, he examines the question of life after death by asking well-known mediums

to take part in a series of experiments aimed at either disproving or proving the existence

of an afterlife. The book includes details of stringently monitored experiments

in which mediums attempt to contact dead friends and relatives of sitters, who were masked

from view and never spoke, depriving the mediums of any cues or hints.

The results shook researchers and onlookers, revealing information about a sons suicide,

what a deceased father wanted to say about his last days in a coma, the transformation

of a mans lifelong doubts about the afterlife, and, most amazing of all, a forecast of a

beloved spouses death.

It is simply fascinating, and stands as a fantastic example of science trying to examine

a mysterious phenomenon which can at least be observed, if not explained. Unfortunately,

when science examines something it cannot explain, it most often dismisses it as untrue.

Return To Life: Extraordinary Cases Of Children Who Remember Past Lives

For the last fifteen years, Jim Tucker has traveled the country meeting families, hearing

stories like these, and trying to determine if the childrens memories are valid. Continuing

a fifty year research project at the University of Virginia involving children from all over

the world, he decided to focus on cases in the United States, where parents would not

expect their children to say such things.

This topic has been studied by numerous scientists who belong to various academic institutions

from all over the world, so in the interest of a short on-line read, choosing which studies/examples

to share can be a difficult process, given how many of them exist. Worldwide, more than

twenty-five hundred specific cases have been examined in great detail, more so where these

notions are more culturally accepted (in the East), although cases have been documented

on every single continent. For this reason, if you are interested in this topic from a

scientific standpoint, we suggest you further your own research beyond what you read here.

A typical reincarnation case is where subjects start reporting a past life experience. One

common denominator of these cases is that they all involve children, with the average

age being 35 months when subjects begin to report their experiences. The experiences

reported are often detailed and extensive, and Tucker points out that many of these children

show strong emotional involvement when speaking about their claims, some cry and beg to be

taken to what they say is their previous family. Others show intense anger.

The subjects usually stop making their past-life statements by the age of six to

seven, and most seem to lose the purported memories. That is the age when children start

school and begin having more experiences in the current life, as well as when they tend

to lose their early childhood memories. (source)

One example Tucker describes, an American case, is of a child named Sam Taylor, who

was a year and a half old when:

He looked up as his father was changing his diaper and said, When I was your age,

I used to change your diapers. He began talking more about having been his grandfather.

He eventually told details of his grandfathers life that his parents felt certain he could

not have learned through normal means, such as the fact that his grandfathers sister

had been murdered and that his grandmother had used a food processor to make milkshakes

for his grandfather every day at the end of his life. (source)

Hidden In Plain Sight: Beyond The X Files

The latest and most in-depth book on underground bases by Dr. Richard Sauder, the worlds

premier investigator of underground bases and tunnels. Using a combination of archival

research, on-the-scene investigation, and first-hand interviews, Sauder takes the reader

into a clandestine world that is under the ground and under the ocean. It is a world

that we are supposed to think is impossible, and yet after reviewing the evidence seems

all-too-likely. Dr. Sauder asks, and often answers, such questions as:

Where are the secret underground bases? How far down do they go?

What leaks are coming from the classified world?

What has the U.S. Navy planned for beneath the ocean floor?

Are there bases beneath the ocean? Whats going on beneath Washington,

D.C.? Are there high-speed, underground maglev

systems? What is the connection with UFOs and the

alien question?

This is a book that truly goes where no other book has gone before. It is a must-read for

any and all who are seeking to understand the full magnitude of the Matrix-like reality

of our civilization.

The Secret Military Remote Perception Skill Anyone Can Learn: The Essential Guide To Remote

Viewing

This book was written by Paul H. Smith, PhD., and an army veteran who was involved in this

program for several years.

Did you know that the CIA, in conjunction with Stanford university, were involved in

the scientific study of parapsychological phenomena that lasted more than two decades?

Part of this program was examining the efficacy of remote viewing, supposedly for intelligence

gathering purposes. (source)

Remote viewing is the ability of a person to describe a remote geographical location

up to several hundred thousand kilometers from their actual physical location.

In these experiments, multiple individuals were able to describe distinct objects that

were located in a separate room, and at other remote physical locations from where there

body was not.

Parapsychology: A Handbook For The 21st Century

This is the first book in more than 40 years to provide a comprehensive scientific overview

of research in the field of parapsychology, explaining what we know and dont know about

so-called psi phenomena, such as telepathy, precognition or psychokinesis. Contributors

evaluate the evidence for these phenomena, accounting for factors such as selective memory,

wish fulfillment and incorrect methods or analyses, in some cases offering psychological,

physical and biological theories.

31 chapters by 37 experts including:

Implicit Physical Psi: The Global Consciousness Project (Roger D. Nelson)

Macro-Psychokinesis (Stephen E. Braude) Psi and Psychophysiology (Dean Radin and

Alan Pierce) Psi in Everyday Life: Nonhuman and Human

(Rupert Sheldrake) Reincarnation: Field Studies and Theoretical

Issues Today (Antonia Mills and Jim B. Tucker) Statistical Guidelines for Empirical Studies

BOOKTUBE NEWBIE TAG 2.0 [CC] - Duration: 12:35.

Hello my name is Stephen Alff and welcome back to Alffbooks! And today I'm here to

do the booktube newbie tag 2.0! This tag was created by Catalyst Reads and I was

tagged by Jay from Captured in Words! So I'll be leaving both of their videos

down in the description! And yeah it's time to move on to the questions!

The first question is what genres would you like to see talked about more on

booktube? I'd like to see more historical fiction! Historical fiction is something

I've really gotten into I've started writing historical fiction and I'm

always looking for more historical fiction! So more people talking about it

means I discover more historical fiction, so that would be really cool! So there's

that! I'd also like to see people talk about classics more! I find, and that was

my case for years, that classics are very often thought of as reading material for

school or for college and because of that in some sense they're avoided as

too difficult or too potentially boring and though I don't like all classics

that I've read which is always the case about any type of book that you read! I

find that you need to give any book a good chance if you think that you may be

interested and you're just saying mmhnm because it's a classic, you should pick

it up! So yeah classics! If you talk about classics, let me know as well! The second

question is what ways do you feel are the best to make friends on booktube! And

I find that if you comment on other people's videos you are going to get

their attention. Especially if they've got really small channels! They are most

likely to really want to engage with you! So I find the booktube newbie tag is a

great way of meeting other people who love this community who've decided to

finally make videos and who aren't overloaded with comments, in a sense, that

they will see your comment and they will be more than happy to respond and the

thing is making friends on booktube is just making friends with anyone who

loves reading books and that starts with the people who've just started out and

it also makes them feel really welcomed! So I find that's a really good way of

engaging with people and making friends! Another great way is off the platform on

Twitter for example. You can tweet at other booktubers

and just start conversations there about different topics and I find that's a

great way of getting to know each other better and also just creating real good

friendships! And another way which I find is really interesting is to create

meetups! So if there are no meetups being organized at the moment in your area, you

can look into organizing your own meetups and that can always be really

fun because well you get to meet people in person, talk about books, maybe go to

book stores together and that's that's really cool yes! I find that when you

start looking you're always surprised by how many people close enough to you

actually are interested in and talk about books online they don't

necessarily have to be booktubers but they can be book bloggers. They can be

bookstagrammers. They can just be people who like tweeting about books and

I find that always fascinating to just talk with people who love books! The

third question is what do you enjoy most about making booktube videos! And I find

that I love just coming up with ideas! I love trying to see if they're possible

and I absolutely love working with other people to try and make those ideas

possible! It's just so much more fun when you can actually work with other people!

So I find even if it's just bouncing ideas off of someone... just throwing

them at them! *laughs* I find that is a really good way of just working through

possibilities for videos and that process is really fun! I do that with

booktube friends, I do that with family. I just find it really fun to see how other

people like ideas or what their input can be in a video! question four is what do

you least look forward to when making a booktube video? There are two things!

Firstly, making sure the lighting is right. Not that I look too bleached or

that it's too dark. I've had that problem before it's

just so irritating! And another one is background noise! I always try to reduce

background noise as much as possible and it's gotten to the point that if I hear

someone walking past the door even if I can barely hear them, myself, I'm like oh no

it will corrupt the audio even though the chances are that it

won't! But I try to film when there's as little noise as possible and noise is

something that I can't edit it out because I don't know how to.. audio sound

editing so it's always better to not have it in the first place! But yeah that

is something that I don't look forward to! The fifth question is what videos

other than tags, TBRs wrap-ups and reviews and recommendations would you

like to see more of? And definitely, hands down, discussion videos and sketches! I

love those! Personally I mean I want to do as many sketches as possible over the

next few months and years because I plan on being here for the long run! And

discussion videos because they really open your mind I find! Someone will

bring up a point at some point in their discussion video that you're never going

to have considered before and that is something I find fascinating! Just being

able to compare how you approach an idea or a concept or something you may not

even have thought of in detail and see that there's more to it than you

expected! The same thing applies to when preparing a discussion video! I find that

I will invariably look into the pros and cons of it and try and see both sides of

the discussion! Though I may not always understand or agree with all the points,

I'll try and find points that I can agree with or at least that I can

understand that others gonna agree with it! I find it's

always more interesting to try and give two aspects of a discussion, so both your

point of view and the opposite point of view. And whether you are the person

explaining those other points or whether you bring someone in to do that with you,

I think is really important to keep a discussion balanced and try and you know

try and find out and explain what both sides are. I mean I tried to do one of

those on booktube and why I love booktube and it turned into just the

video these are the reasons why I love booktube and yeah I love booktube! But

then I did one further back about book hauls and that one

was more balanced I mentioned pros for book hauls and also reasons I didn't

really like them that much and in the end turns out that well there's more

cons for me personally, so I don't make them. So yeah it's always good to

weigh pros and cons. The sixth question is what themes would you like to see

less of or more of in books? And for me less of, definitely, love triangles! Now if

a love triangle is well done, well explained, that there's a sense to it? No

problem! But more often than not the love triangle doesn't make sense! It's just a

love triangle between three of the main characters and there's no real sense to

it! it's just there because it can be there! That's not something I like seeing!

It's just a waste of ink! So yeah, that's what I wouldn't like to see as much of

if possible! And what I'd like to see more isn't really a theme but more the

unexpected! I like seeing something that I didn't expect! When I'm reading a book,

if I put the book down I'll be thinking about the book until the next time I

could pick it up and that is coming up with possible scenarios, possible ways

the story could go and I like when a book brings me down a route I didn't

expect! And that is what I like seeing in books! So if I can see more of that and less

books that are "oh yeah I kind of knew that was gonna happen" I'd be really

happy! I'm not saying that they don't already exist I just want to see so so

many more of those! That would be really cool The seventh question is what are some of

your booktube goals! Well, I want to make more friends on booktube that's a clear

one! I would love that! I want to do more collabs and I want to make things that are new! I

want to create something that doesn't exist yet on booktube and whether that

is by working together with other people and creating something sketch wise or

other that is just really different or on my own just coming up with an idea, a

way of filming a video differently? I just want to bring something different and

yeah we'll see how that works! I'm constantly

looking into ways of bringing maybe something that I see in an other type of

video or in another medium into my videos and maybe at some point I'll find

something that I'm like yes that is what I want to do! Whether it's by adapting it

from somewhere else or coming up with something completely new I think that

would be fun! The eighth question is what advice do you have for booktubers who

just started out? Well, read what you like and make the videos you want to make! I...

There's nothing really more to say. If you don't like one of the common video

types that are out there: book hauls, TBRs, wrap-ups, tags. If there's something you

don't want to do, just don't do it! It's up to you to do whatever you want with

your channel! As I was saying earlier, I don't do book hauls. It doesn't stop me

from making videos! I enjoy making videos. I still make videos about books the

whole time and I think it's important that people don't feel pressured into

because everyone else is doing it that they have to do it! And the same thing

applies for books if everyone is talking about a book you don't necessarily have

to go out there and buy it just because everyone else is talking about it! You

don't necessarily have to read it because everyone else is talking about

it! Just read what you want! And if a book does sound interesting and everyone is

talking about it, by all means, go ahead! But don't just read something or do

something because everyone else is doing it!

Question 9 is what qualities or traits do you look for in other booktubers when

deciding what to watch? And well, I just look for people who are passionate about

books! That's pretty much it! I mean that's pretty much everyone on booktube!

But basically I just love watching videos at books no matter who, no matter

what genre the books are in! I like seeing people passionate about things!

And that is all I look for! Question ten is what is a fun fact or a hobby that

you have that other people on booktube wouldn't know that you have? Well, I can

juggle! Juggling is fun! And now I just hope that I don't hit the

microphone! I haven't really practiced, so yeah! This is where I hope this isn't a

bad idea! I think I might actually move the microphone away just for this

because this might be a bad idea otherwise! I don't want to break my

microphone! There! further away! Now I hope I don't hit the computer there!

I haven't done this in a while!

question 11: Who do you tag! What I want to do from now on when I'm

doing tag videos is I want to tag both people

I've been following and I really want to tag and also people I really want to tag

but who've just started out! Partly because I want to make them feel more

welcome in the community in general I want them also to be maybe more

noticed! And yeah, by doing so I'll be leaving links to all

the people I tagged in the description down below, so feel free to go and check

them out! Without further ado, who do I tag? I'm tagging YouFoundMarina, clarareadsbooks,

Spinsters' Library, Jessica breathe and read, bookish land, the Dyslexic Reader,

Teller of Tales, Irish reader, This Story Ain't Over and Emma Lou! I look

forward to seeing all of your videos! I hope you enjoyed this video! I will leave

you with my most recent video on this side and a video I think you're really

going to like! That's all for me, bye!

5 Pyramids of the Ancient World that You May Not Have Heard About - Duration: 8:32.

5 Pyramids of the Ancient World that You May Not Have Heard About

The Great Pyramid of Giza is undoubtedly one of the most well-known icons of the ancient

world.

But thousands of other pyramids exist, not just in Egypt, but across the entire globe,

including Europe, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.

The reason why so many ancient civilizations, many of which had no contact with each other,

were constructing pyramids at around the same time remains a bit of a mystery.

Nevertheless, many of these impressive monuments remain as legacies of these rich, ancient

cultures.

Here, we look at 5 little-known pyramids from the ancient world.

1.

A Pyramid in the Heart of Rome, Italy

Rome is well known for its ancient architecture the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trajans Market

and the Roman Forum to name a few but one thing it is not often associated with

is pyramids.

But right in the heart of Rome, sits a 2,000-year-old pyramid, measuring 30 meters along each side

and 35 meters in height.

You cant miss it!

Yet very few people have heard of Romes Pyramid of Cestius.

The Pyramid of Cestius was built along the Via Ostiensis, an important road in ancient

Rome, sometime between 18 and 12 BC.

While it is debatable whether the Egyptian pyramids were ever really used as tombs, the

pyramid of Cestius most definitely was.

Within the pyramid is a barrel-vaulted burial chamber which, according to the inscriptions

on the east and west flanks of the pyramid, housed the body of a Roman politician known

as Gaius Cestius Epulo, a tribune, praetor and member of the priesthood.

A second inscription announces that the building of this pyramid was completed in 330 days.

2.

The Mysterious Pyramids of Tenerife, Canary Islands

Tenerife in the Canary Islands is well-known as a holiday destination, but many tourists

visit the island unaware that there are pyramids there and an ongoing mystery.

Who built the pyramids, when were they constructed, and why?

The pyramids can be found at Gmar, a town in the south of Tenerife.

Built from lava stone without the use of mortar, the pyramids have caused much controversy

among academics.

One study dated the pyramids to the 19th century AD, based on pottery found near the site,

and said they are little more than piles of volcanic rocks that farmers had made when

clearing the land.

However, this has been hotly disputed.

Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl argues that the pyramids were built by the Guanches, the

aboriginal Berber inhabitants of the Canary Islands who migrated to the archipelago around

1,000 BC.

Hayerdahl points out that the constructions are painstakingly designed with stepped levels

and possible alignments made for ceremonial purposes, such as those that could have been

carried out at the Summer Solstice.

In 1991, Juan Antonio Belmonte Avils, Antonio Aparicio Juan, and Csar Esteban Lpez,

who were researchers from the Canary Institute of Astrophysics, demonstrated that the long

sides of some of the terraces surrounding the pyramids of Gmar marked the direction

of winter and summer solstices.

Heyerdahl hypothesized that the Canarian pyramids formed a temporal and geographic stopping

point on voyages between ancient Egypt and the Maya civilization, initiating a controversy

in which historians, archaeologists, astronomers, and those with a general interest in history

have all taken part.

3.

The Great Pyramid of Cholula, Mexico

Despite being recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest pyramid in the world

in terms of its volume, not many people have heard of the Great Pyramid of Cholula.

Located just outside the city of Puebla, the pyramid was dedicated to Quetzalcoatl, one

of the most important deities of the Mesoamerican pantheon, and during pre-Colombian times,

Cholula was a large city and the religious center of highland Mexico.

The construction of the temple began during the 2nd century BC, and went through several

stages before achieving its final form.

Around 1100 AD, the city fell into the hands of the Toltec-Chichimecas and the pyramid

was abandoned as new temples were created.

Over the centuries, it became covered in earth and vegetation and it was not until 1910,

when authorities began the construction of a mental asylum, that the natural hill

was found to be the home of an ancient pyramid.

4.

The Legendary 1,000Ft White Pyramid of Xian, China

Scattered across an isolated, flat plain in Shaanxi Province, near the ancient capital

of Xian, lie dozens of spectacular pyramid mounds that are little known outside China.

Mixed in with the reality of these impressive tombs, is a legend of an enormous 1,000-foot

white, jewel-capped pyramid that would outshine even the Great Pyramid of Giza.

While some researchers believe that aerial sightings of the White Pyramid of Xian

correspond with the Maoling Mausoleum, tomb of Emperor Wu of Han, others maintain that

the legendary pyramid is yet to be found.

Reported sightings of an enormous white pyramid in China date back more than a century to

the diary entries of American travel agent and trader Fred Meyer Schroder, who spotted

a giant pyramid in the distance while walking with a Buddhist monk guide in Shaanxi Province

in 1912.

Schroder estimated that it was at least 300 meters high (roughly 1,000 feet) with 500-meter

sides.

Such dimensions would give the structure a volume ten times greater than that of the

Great Pyramid in Egypt.

Schroders Mongolian guide, Bogdo, informed him that the pyramids are at least 3,000 years

old and that information about them is recorded in ancient monastic documents and is well-known

in local legend.

Two more sightings by pilots occurred in the 1940s, both corroborating earlier reports

of its size and features.

Some believe that the White Pyramid may lie within the rugged terrain of the Qin Ling

Mountains, difficult to spot among the towering mountains and deep gorges.

Numerous researchers and explorers have pursued the White Pyramid of Xian, but none to

date have been successful.

The 5,000-Year-Old Pyramid City of Caral, Peru

The Norte Chico civilization of Supe, Peru was the first known civilization of the Americas.

Their capital was the Sacred City of Caral a 5,000-year-old metropolis complete with

complex agricultural practices, rich culture, and monumental architecture, including stone

and earthen platform mounds, temples, amphitheatre, sunken circular plazas, residential areas

and six large step pyramids.

The ancient city was first discovered in 1905 by the German archaeologist Max Uhle, but

it wasnt until the 1970s that archaeologists realized that the hills originally identified

as natural formations were actually step pyramids.

By the 1990s, the full extent of the great city of Caral and its six pyramids had emerged

after having lain buried beneath the sand for five millennia.

While we already know of the existence of thousands of pyramids around the world, it

is hypothesized that there are hundreds more that are yet to be discovered.

From the dense jungles of South America and Asia, to enormous mounds covered in vegetation

or snow that could easily be mistaken for natural hills, the planet has not yet revealed

all of the pyramids from its ancient past.

How I Edit My YouTube Videos! - Duration: 36:55.

The drivers here, horrible. omg. They speed like - they don't even look at traffic lights. I don't think they do!

What's up, what's good guys, my name is Aldrin, welcome to another video on my channel!

And I know it's been a while since I have made a video

That's because I've been really busy. 'Cause we moved.

But in this video is a request that has been waiting for a while now and the request is

How I edit my videos. How do I do that? the process is actually quite simple if you have

a creative mind because

For me when I edit my videos

I usually imagine like what I want it to look like

So sometimes it can be inspired by others, other youtubers! When I do edits

I think of like Sam holder or Matt Komo and all those other big editors like Ryan Nang-

I don't know how to pronounc-Ryan Nangle

Yeah, but those are like really

Good editors that I get inspired from to make my edits for my main videos like this one

I usually just

Think of like a TV show sort of and then I edit like a TV show... Without further ado

Let me show you how I edit my videos and let's jump into Premiere Pro, which is where I edit my videos

Okay

So now you can see my desktop so before I start editing I always import my videos which I have already done

And I've placed them in this folder where I keep a lot of my

Music the effects LUTs sound effects software's I've also recorded my voice on a software

adobe audition

which

Records and can edit sound so yeah

I've recorded two because this is what I recorded for what we are gonna be editing today

This is for the video that I am doing right now, but right now the audio is recording with QuickTime Player

So that's why I don't have adobe audition on i've already have the videos in and it's in a folder called edit

This is the video

That's the video that we're gonna be editing today is which is how or I mean?

Which is what I use to make my videos I have

another USB where I

store my files of Premiere Pro where the cache goes to and all those stuff is connected to my

Seagate

One terabyte us be my backup drive. I have a folder called YouTube here and then there

I just placed my intro in there and

When I export my videos I would export them in this folder so now that I have that

inside my

computer

I'm going to open up Premiere Pro now that I've got Premiere Pro

Open select a new project and named it what I use because the video that I'm editing is

What you're seeing?

in

The next video after this video, I'm putting the location of the file into this

Drive here, so all the media and all that goes in here

And it doesn't take space in my computer because you can see right now

I don't have that much space here, and I have a ton of space in here

683 gigabytes free

So let's click OK now. I like to use the tabs at the top here because they'repretty convenient right now. Let's locate the video

That we're gonna edit so this is the video

These two videos are the video right now that you just saw

That is in this video this one was in the beginning

It's gonna be the end and I will double click on this and let's go to the very beginning

And I'd like to scroll through to see where I should start my video

So I just use the keyboard L. K. And J. L is when I

Need to play the video normally K to stop it J's to pull backwards, and if I press L

Twice then it goes faster press J twice, and it goes backwards faster

So if I want to scroll through faster, I just go like this

It's kind of laggy right now

What I didn't realize that the camera blurred out at that time

Because I couldn't see my glasses on but this is where I'm gonna start the video. I'm gonna start to edit so I

Create a mark here the starting mark here, and I scroll through

We don't need to look through all here yet

Till the end so let's go back

Okay, okay, I say that's done go to

Click this video and drag it into the secrets and now it's a cut to that area. Yeah

I don't need to do some extra cuts because I've already cut cut the video

While assembling in the sequence if you guys wondering where the other clips are me showing my products

The beer that I use I haven't recorded that yet because I'm gonna record the beginning

Because I'm gonna edit the beginning first because you need to have a strong beginning and a strong ending

I'm gonna render out this scene so it isn't that leggy

Now that the rendering is finished we can now play back smoothly, and we just cancel the markings

Yeah as you can see like I stumbled a lot with my words, that's why I had to do a lot of editing

Okay, so the video seems pretty good right now

So now let's just zoom in a bit into the timeline and let's see which parts we need to cut out

Okay, I like to leave some space want to edit beginning you see there's a small pause there because

I add my intro I usually add my intro first but

I'd say you should do basic cuts before you do that, but I feel like this might be easier

So I was at my intro in there

Let me show like okay, I'm talking nonsense in some of the music files

Yeah, let's cut this part and put this in the beginning

Okay, so this part is gonna be beginning

alone

Let's move everything back

Let's move this to the front

Let's add the intro up here

This

Now what's great about Premiere Pro

Is that they have a snapping and unsnapping tool so if I unsnap then you can move this freely?

It doesn't snap on to anything if I turn on the snap it will automatically snap on to the next clip

Without you

Precisely trying to get it on to the next clip

so for this go like this and then

Then it cuts the intro

So I heard for my cut my cousin said what I showed my cousin my new intro he said Oh your intro smoother now

Yeah was because I?

Try to make a smooth

outro or the intro

So you see this

This part where the screen comes up this black part is actually where the video is gonna be act

So it's like that this is where the screen comes up, so I'm gonna edit put it there

I'm actually gonna render this part out because getting a little too slow

It's only gonna take a few seconds oh

Yeah, my intro is loud, that's why tune of the game this is it

Yeah

Turn up the gain is six, so it's loud

Cuz this is like a a beast

For me to know how loved my video needs to be

Let me turn the volume down a bit

Yeah, it seems pretty smooth. Oh, I felt like it went from blurry to unglue

Okay, so now that you've got the intro in and fix the audio levels on my video I

Oh, you know what it's actually not supposed to be this audio

I forgot that we recorded separate audio because I always record separate audio when I film

This is the audio

So now let's try and hear this one. That's so low this

Okay now it's fine where

We can

Let's find the matching

this way

Yeah, this is it

So we cut that we delete that we delete this empty space oh, there's more empty spaces

Start here, and I usually unlink

This

So I just have the audio, and then I should click on that right click, and then I would sink

Sometimes it doesn't work

There now that

You know now that I think about it, I should turn this one down a bit negative 6 did that work

See now it sounds crisp you you know you're insane

Um this one yeah

Okay now that I found the audio let's bring it to the front

Here we go you can zoom in a bit on that

Okay now there's like multiple sound so now we unlike this you unlink this audio, and then we delete it

Now

You know what I just realized

This and this before I do that let me just I

Usually make a

Nest

So now it's the same

It's not like that I think we should bring these back

Yeah like that

So now we cut this

And then we nest these two clips together

So now it's one one whole clip

So now that I've got this part down we need to sync up this audio

Okay, I think that's pretty synced so

We do the same unlinked delete. We don't

And then we nest them

Okay

Now that we've nested everything and everything looks great

we now do what I call the basic cuts, which is where we just cut to the

We just skip the parts where I stumble upon my words or I have a pause

Because who wants to see that right unless if you guys want to see it, so now I've rendered the video

So we can have a smooth

Timeline that we can cut easily we don't need to cut the first half because it would just mean like

Yeah, we don't need to cut the first part let's turn off the monkeys

So we have to carps we have to start cutting from

This clip starting from this clip let's do that. So there were lots of mistakes and had to repeat myself

multiple times but

We found the big one

So let's cut it right here

Cut from

here

Cut it here, so we know this is this thing that we want to cut so let's cut that

And we delete this extra space so now it seemed

And I think that's it for the beginning which is pretty dang short

So yeah we need to cut this empties space here and

We're doing the outro

So the outro now if you guys don't know well you you wouldn't

yet, I

Am doing a different type of outro instead of just showing just the clip of me saying. Thank you

I'm actually gonna add a

Overlay and overlay where did I keep that?

the effects

So I keep all my effects

effects folder

Here here's the outro. This is the outro background, and I'll put the video clip right here

So let's let's cut the outro first

Get there

That's where I started talking about my background

Let's

So now that we have cut

Clip this clip to the end of space out

Yeah, that was a little bit messy let me clear that up

Cut there we cut there and

Then we do this

That's done for that comment section, so let's see that that part again

Okay now that's cleaner no more messy

Choppy words

So now that we've got that

Comment section done. I think I'm signing off in this one. Yes, I am I

end off

They were cutting off here, that's couple for my arm moves yeah here

I've actually decided to not show you guys

The products, I mean the gears

Because I want you guys to see that video

When it comes out, so I don't spoil anything for you, so I'm only gonna edit the beginning and the ending

But it's pretty much gonna be the same as how I edit a full video

So this is so let me do the transitions as well

Okay, so this part now. I'm gonna move them up here and

I'm adding that picture that outro picture in there

Where the outro happens how long is this 30

Yeah, that's enough time hmm, so I'm gonna nest

These clips so what I have to apply them to

There so now this this is all

nested I

Am now going to resize the image

visit 53 no

It's more than that

Yeah, yeah 37 I should screenshot that

So usually if I need to remember the settings for something I would screenshot it

So I don't forget and everything looks very consistent

You can't hear me right now. I'm sorry for that my mom's vacuuming the house

So with that

Part. I don't need to add transitions because they're not really

This is the introduction

So you don't put it your introduction you don't put it a transition in the introduction?

if the introduction isn't over some only are so I'm gonna put it in the end and

I will use my use my transition face. I'm use my face

Yeah, why not

It won't be there for that long

so

First of all

We got to resize it to make it to make the head and the chin touch

each touch the edges of the

Top and bottom and

Then we will

position this

the very top oh

Yeah, I forgot okay

I'm gonna reset everything

Because I forgot to do this, I'm so stupid I

Always put the transform

On

Because I want to get that motion blur on that face

so with that

Can uncheck uncheck that

360 that

In the first position that we're going to do all the way up

All the way, and then we do the end

Okay now just giving me all the way down

See now it has that transition

People won't really notice that it cuts off like that

It would just seem like it's following the face

But

People will not pay attention to you to the cut because the face is like a distraction you know I

Also usually I would do this transition with a mask that follows the face

When it goes down, so it's old it seems like it's wiping down

But for this to make it simpler and

Faster I will just do this

Which also seems very smooth

So I don't have a problem with that

So that's one transition done, and it seems pretty smooth for the outro

We're done with that and

You might feel like this video is a little bit too bland. There's no like you don't feel anything when watching Phil you feel bored

Plus because I haven't added the music yet

And I know sometimes my energy and videos aren't really that great

But I'm trying to fix that

I'm trying to improve that so this is a one song that I used a lot in most my videos if you notice I

Should I use that for my intro, and then I would use what was the song that would use in the background

the back yes is the one

That's my background music for my videos

If you pay attention you will hear it to negative 15

See now it feels a little bit like half you you know it doesn't feel like too boring if without it

Yeah, it's a lot better. It's not too loud. It's not too soft. You can still hear it, so you can feel the vibe

And usually with the transition I would in

Add some effects to it to make it sound a lot more

to give it a lot more I

Don't know how to say it effect, I guess

But I have a free woosh sound pack

Yeah, let's use this one there's a little lighter

Yep, so now. It's not right so now

You can really tell that the transitions there, so that's what I mean in the beginning video

You need like to have a creative need to think

On what you want to make on what you want to edit?

how you want it to look like and this is like what I wanted to be like a

Face that goes through you can see them in some like TV shows you will see a transition similar to this

So that that's what I was going for that

And then

That's pretty much it

For the sound I should transition this in that's it Dancy, I'm gonna like that

I'm gonna make it like that and

I will use a

Handy seamless transition transition, so let me replace it with an After Effects composition

The reason why I do I didn't the reason why I didn't do that for the face transition is because

I'm adding Clips after that not just from the intro to the outro

I'm acting I'm adding clips that I haven't recorded yet in between them so that's why I didn't

Do their place After Effects composition?

Let's do

Distortion these are the ones that are cool

It should be added yes it is

It's added on to the timeline

So let me render up this scene okay now when it plays back again. Should be a little bit smoother

So now that's done, you don't need this to be on there anymore it should what?

Why is this offline no okay, so I fixed this transition and now it is

Better. I have also rendered it

Now the transition does not I don't know why but it doesn't sound effects doesn't work, so I'll be adding

Now just I think this little

Yes, this was the something

that they placed inside now the transition looks and

Sounds more like traditional

Okay, so another the video has done rendering the outro let's look at it

This is where I now add the VFX visual effects my VFX section

And then the like or comma

I

Will switch up ultra key and use that

And when it's loaded you select color BAM you got it you got a thing right there

Yeah stead of putting it up here

There you go, you know for the subscribe

Go back to fix I didn't know why I got out of there oh

Yeah, it's at the ultra key effect this really well this

Shameeka

Know I should be his bigger

let's make this one fit II

Know I did not click on that okay

150

Yes, okay, oh yes, you also make this faster

Let's just render everything in this scene

Everything out so now that I've rendered out the scene let's play that back

So now

the ending looks good and

now that I've showed you the VFX and everything I

now add a

Lund

Videos, it's just like a filter for your video

So I

Am what's this?

Okay

All this is to move

Give it some space in here

Project yes, we add an adjustment layer

Perfect put it there

Okay

We don't need this see this part, so we go to look within the creative section gonna look browse

We browse the different let's I

Have a ton of Luntz in here some of them. I don't use because I don't have any log footage. I can't record lock footage

But I do have some that I've made

Like in here, it's one or this one

This one yeah

Okay so with the highlights down, okay, so now that we got that done go back to editing and

Look over the clips alright

There we go I usually at the left at the end because it actually makes everything my year

That's pretty much how I edit my videos so when I export the video I go to file export

Media that will do is open up this

So, that's

That's its let's fix that

We'll just cut it there saves a QuickTime format QuickTime. We leave this

Output premiere no we put here video file. Yes, we save it as like

What I'm just gonna call it what

Just for the sake of it okay because I haven't really finished editing this yet, I'm just showing you the basic stuff

So this is all done

Up here, so we can go to the video section we go to

H dot 264

we match source render at maximum depth and

use maximum render quality

For audio we go to AAC

we look for the highest one, and then we go to the highest one again 320 and

Everything should be good, and then click Q. They will take me to media encoder and it will

Export it for me

So that's how I edit my video. Thank you guys for watching this video

Hopefully you guys like this video if you do give it a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel down below

and comment down and near the request that you want me to make and I will

when I have the time and

Just coming anything done

Little pet or something, but anyways see you guys in the next video bye

Pit-a-pat stethoscope! Dr. Licca's hospital!

Ah, what is my proper occupation in the future?

A picture book writer is good,

and a comic artist is of some good, too.

A journalist...may not be suitable.

Hum, is there anything else?

A childcare worker or a pet trimmer?

Hmm.

Oh, a doctor!

I'll help people with illness or injury.

"This is Licca-chan's hospital."

"How may I help you?"

Please help me, Dr. Licca.

Hello, Miki. What's wrong? Let me consult.

"I'll begin examining."

Well, Miki. Lie down on the bed, please.

OK.

Please start.

Then, let me see your stomach.

"The result of examination…"

"You suffer from constipation."

"Take care!"

Oh, I've been constipated hahaha!

You don't have fever, so I'll prescribe a medicine for stomach.

Here you are. Take care!

Thank you.

Dr. Licca, please help me.

The next is Maki, right? What's wrong?

"I'll check your heartbeat."

"I'll begin examining."

"The result of examination…"

"You catch the flu."

"Take care!"

Oh my god! I'll prescribe medicine, Maki.

And let's treat with an inhaler as you have a runny nose.

So, just be patient. It'll finish soon.

This medicine will be effective well, so don't worry.

Thank you.

I've caught the flu.

I have to wear a mask.

Help me please, Dr. Licca.

Oh, Riku. What's wrong?

"I'll begin examining."

"The result of examination…"

"You has a sty."

Eh! I've had a sty.

That may because my long bang...

Then, let me put eye lotion on your eyes. Good.

OK, I'll prescribe eye lotion. Please apply it three times a day. Here you are!

Thank you so much.

Hello, Dr. Licca. Please consult.

Wow, what a handsome man!

"I'll check your heartbeat."

So, please lie down on this bed.

OK.

Let me put a stethoscope.

"The result of examination…"

"You have broken your leg!"

I've got a bone broken!

Then, I give you medical care.

Let me put from your leg.

Completed.

OK, I've done.

Oh, I've also broken my arm...

I'll prescribe pain-killers and wet pads.

Pain-killers and wet pads.

OK.

Thank you so much.

Hi, Dr. Licca. Please consult.

"The result of examination…"

"You need reexamination! Please come three days later again."

Did I have too much sweet things?

Well, let's measure your blood pressure just in case.

"Pipipipi"

Oh, you also have high blood pressure a little.

May I give you an IV drip?

That contains medicine to make your skin smooth.

Wow, that's my pleasure!

So, please rest up for a while.

Who's next?

Here.

Please examine, Dr. Licca.

OK! Let me see.

"The result of examination…"

"You have athlete's foot."

"Take care!"

Athlete's foot, huhhh?

Even though my clean foot?

I'll prescribe an ointment. Don't forget applying everyday.

OK, I will.

Here you are.

Thank you.

Phew! That's all for today's consulting.

Doctor is busy.

・・・Oh, that's dream!

I dreamt about being a doctor.

Doctor seems to be busy.

Well, I'll study well!
