10 BOOKS THAT WILL LITERALLY BLOW YOUR MIND & HAVE YOU READING UNTIL THE LAST PAGE

BY ARJUN WALIA

This is an updated version of an article weve. We will continue to update the list and re-publish

it for those who are interested in some good reads!

Reading is incredible. It sparks our imaginations, enhances our critical thinking skills, improves

our vocabulary, exercises our brain, and much more. While our love for reading in general

will never die, it does seem that, these days, its popularity has waned significantly. Many

kids today, and plenty of adults too, cant seem to wrap their heads around sitting and

doing nothing for any extended amount of time when they could instead experience

new and intense sensory information every few seconds instead. Youd be hard-pressed

to find a child (or teen) that wont throw a fit the moment you take their cell phone

or iPad away from them, and its not illogical to wonder if children today are even using

their brains; surely the constant TV watching and time spent on social media doesnt challenge

their minds in the way that a book can. Whether youre an adult or a child, reading is definitely

a good idea; the key is to find something that interests you. The rest is easy.

The list of books below represents just a few that Im sure CE readers will enjoy,

so have a look if youd like to add something new and exciting to your reading list.

Supernormal: Science, Yoga & The Evidence For Extraordinary Psychic Abilities

As with Dr. Radins previous work, this book is thoroughly researched, clearly written,

and immensely engaging. Once again, he has pushed the boundaries of religion, science,

psychology, and philosophy. Invaluable reading!

Dr. Michael Bloch, University of San Francisco

Above is just one of many great reviews of this book. Dean Radin, the author, is the

Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He has published a number of papers

on the science of parapsychology. Topics within this realm include distant healing, remote

viewing, precognition, and near-death experiences, among others.

The book examines the science behind these extraordinary abilities, and whether yoga

and meditation can unleash our inherent supernormal mental powers. It touches on several different

topics, from ancient teachings of mystics and the theories of quantum physics to successful

experiments in the field. Radin offers powerful evidence which confirms that sometimes fact

is indeed stranger than fiction, and sometimes more wonderful than we could ever have imagined.

Altered Genes, Twisted Truth: How the Venture to Genetically Engineer Our Food Has Subverted

Science, Corrupted Government, and Systematically Deceived the Public

This is an excellent book and very relevant today, given how many countries around the

world have now banned genetically modified products. It was written by Steven M. Druker,

J.D, who is the Executive Director at the Alliance for Bio-Integrity.

The book has captured the attention of hundreds of scientists, including Joseph Cummins, Ph.D.,

a Professor Emeritus of Genetics at Western University in London, Ontario, who raved about

the book: Altered Genes, Twisted Truth will stand as a landmark. It should be required

reading in every university biology course.

David Schubert, Ph.D, a molecular biologist and the Head of Cellular Neurobiology at the

Salk Institute for Biological Studies, agrees with him:

This incisive and insightful book is truly outstanding. Not only is it well-reasoned

and scientifically solid, its a pleasure to read and a must-read. Through its masterful

marshalling of facts, it dispels the cloud of disinformation that has misled people into

believing that GE foods have been adequately tested and dont entail abnormal risk.

Stephan Naylor, PhD, CEO and Chairman of MaiHealth Inc, and formerly a professor of Biology and

Molecular Biology and Pharmacology at the Mayo Clinic for 10 years, offers further praise:

Steven Drukers meticulously documented, well-crafted, and spellbinding narrative should

serve as a clarion call to all of us. In particular, his chapter detailing the deadly epidemic

of 1989-90 that was linked with genetically engineered food supplements was especially

significant. I and my Mayo Clinic colleagues were active participants in the attempt to

identify the cause of this epidemic. Druker provides a comprehensive analysis of all the

evidence and also presents new findings from our work. Overall his discussion of this tragic

event, as well as its ominous implications, is the most comprehensive, evenly balanced

and accurate account that I have read

As you can see it has some great reviews, which is refreshing to see considering that

mainstream media never shares this side of the story.

UFOs for the 21st Century Mind: A Fresh Guide to an Ancient Mystery

This book was written by Richard Dolan, one of the worlds leading researchers and writers

on the subject of UFOs. He also authored UFOs and the National Security State, and both

books are ground-breaking works which together provide the most factually complete and accessible

narrative of the UFO subject available anywhere. Dolan co-authored a speculative book about

the future as well, called A.D. After Disclosure, which was the first-ever analysis not only

of how UFO secrecy might end, but also of the all-important question: what happens next?

Dolan believes UFOs constitute the greatest mystery of our time.

UFOs for the 21st Century Mind has received incredible reviews. Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar

Mitchell called the book monumental, and Hal Puthoff, one of the chief scientists involved

in the U.S. Governments Stargate program, said that its a must read for serious students

in the field.

Prior to his interest in UFOs, Richard completed his graduate work at the University of Rochester,

where he studied U.S. Cold War strategy, European history, and international diplomacy. Before

that, he had studied at Alfred University and Oxford University, and was a finalist

for a Rhodes scholarship.

For beginners and experienced researchers alike, historian Richard Dolan covers the

full range of this incredibly complex topic in this book. He offers insights into everything

connected to UFOs: ancient aliens, modern encounters, abductions, channellers, the politics

and cover-up, the black budget world, the bizarre science, the social dimensions (YouTube

and Facebook), the future, and much more.

In addition, as one of UFOlogys pioneers in the deep analysis of the cover-up, he offers

an original perspective on how it all works and why the cover-up is bound to end. He also

writes on the nature of contact, speculating on who these Others might be. Finally,

Dolan takes the reader through the weird science of UFOs, covering everything from

propulsion and spacetime to consciousness and more.

The topic of Unidentified Flying Objects has gained a tremendous amount of popularity in

recent years, especially after their existence was verified by dozens of governments in documents

released via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and by academicians and high-ranking

military and political personnel. Keep in mind that UFO does not mean extraterrestrial,

but when you have objects at very high altitudes performing maneuvers that defy our known laws

of physics, its easy to see why some people make that connection.

To see what happens when the military tracks a UFO on radar, you can read THIS article

we published on the subject.

HERE is another great example that comes from the Canadian Air Force.

The Secret Teachings Of All Ages

Manly P. Hall published this book in 1928, shortly after he became a respected lecturer

and interpreter of ancient writings. It dives into a number of different topics, but mostly

focuses on philosophy, occult philosophy, and the teachings of secret societies. He

himself was a member of the Rosicrucian Fellowship and a 33rd degree Mason.

Below are just a few of the rave reviews he has received.

A masterful summation of the esoteric teachings of the ages.

 Huston Smith, Ph.D., Author.

Into this volume has been compressed the quintessence of a colossal learning. It is

a living human document, pulsating with the mental and spiritual vibrations of a profound

thinker who takes knowledge for his province and reduces whole libraries to a single tome.

George Barron, Curator of the De Young Museum of San Francisco

Simply put, this is the most beautiful and complete occult book ever published. It

represents a lifetime of research into the mythology, symbolism, and magical practices

of countless cultures. From the secrets of Isis to the teachings of mystic Christianity,

nearly every occult dogma imaginable is represented here. This is the definitive guide to secret

societies, famous figures, and more.

 Liewellyn New Times

Manly Halls great work is a classic in the worlds literature. It will guide

historians, philosophers, and lay seekers of esoteric wisdom for centuries.

Edgar Mitchell, Sc.D., Apollo 14 astronaut

Fingerprints Of The Gods

So much of what we know about our ancient history has been lost; we are essentially

a species with amnesia. Whether it be giant skeletons or remnants of Atlantis, there is

much evidence suggesting that the story of mankind might be far older than we think.

In his book, Hancock presents strong arguments for this view.

Below is a summary of this work:

In Fingerprints of the Gods, Hancock embarks on a worldwide quest to put together all the

pieces of the vast and fascinating jigsaw of mankinds hidden past. In ancient monuments

as far apart as Egypts Great Sphinx, the strange Andean ruins of Tiahuanaco, and Mexicos

awe-inspiring Temples of the Sun and Moon, he reveals not only the clear fingerprints

of an as-yet-unidentified civilization of remote antiquity, but also startling evidence

of its vast sophistication, technological advancement, and evolved scientific knowledge.

The Afterlife Experiments: Breakthrough Scientific Evidence of Life After Death

Gary E. Swartz is a professor of psychology, medicine, neurology, psychiatry, and surgery

at the University of Arizona. He is also the Director of its Laboratory for Advances in

Consciousness and Health.

In this book, he examines the question of life after death by asking well-known mediums

to take part in a series of experiments aimed at either disproving or proving the existence

of an afterlife. The book includes details of stringently monitored experiments

in which mediums attempt to contact dead friends and relatives of sitters, who were masked

from view and never spoke, depriving the mediums of any cues or hints.

The results shook researchers and onlookers, revealing information about a sons suicide,

what a deceased father wanted to say about his last days in a coma, the transformation

of a mans lifelong doubts about the afterlife, and, most amazing of all, a forecast of a

beloved spouses death.

It is simply fascinating, and stands as a fantastic example of science trying to examine

a mysterious phenomenon which can at least be observed, if not explained. Unfortunately,

when science examines something it cannot explain, it most often dismisses it as untrue.

Return To Life: Extraordinary Cases Of Children Who Remember Past Lives

For the last fifteen years, Jim Tucker has traveled the country meeting families, hearing

stories like these, and trying to determine if the childrens memories are valid. Continuing

a fifty year research project at the University of Virginia involving children from all over

the world, he decided to focus on cases in the United States, where parents would not

expect their children to say such things.

This topic has been studied by numerous scientists who belong to various academic institutions

from all over the world, so in the interest of a short on-line read, choosing which studies/examples

to share can be a difficult process, given how many of them exist. Worldwide, more than

twenty-five hundred specific cases have been examined in great detail, more so where these

notions are more culturally accepted (in the East), although cases have been documented

on every single continent. For this reason, if you are interested in this topic from a

scientific standpoint, we suggest you further your own research beyond what you read here.

A typical reincarnation case is where subjects start reporting a past life experience. One

common denominator of these cases is that they all involve children, with the average

age being 35 months when subjects begin to report their experiences. The experiences

reported are often detailed and extensive, and Tucker points out that many of these children

show strong emotional involvement when speaking about their claims, some cry and beg to be

taken to what they say is their previous family. Others show intense anger.

The subjects usually stop making their past-life statements by the age of six to

seven, and most seem to lose the purported memories. That is the age when children start

school and begin having more experiences in the current life, as well as when they tend

to lose their early childhood memories. (source)

One example Tucker describes, an American case, is of a child named Sam Taylor, who

was a year and a half old when:

He looked up as his father was changing his diaper and said, When I was your age,

I used to change your diapers. He began talking more about having been his grandfather.

He eventually told details of his grandfathers life that his parents felt certain he could

not have learned through normal means, such as the fact that his grandfathers sister

had been murdered and that his grandmother had used a food processor to make milkshakes

for his grandfather every day at the end of his life. (source)

Hidden In Plain Sight: Beyond The X Files

The latest and most in-depth book on underground bases by Dr. Richard Sauder, the worlds

premier investigator of underground bases and tunnels. Using a combination of archival

research, on-the-scene investigation, and first-hand interviews, Sauder takes the reader

into a clandestine world that is under the ground and under the ocean. It is a world

that we are supposed to think is impossible, and yet after reviewing the evidence seems

all-too-likely. Dr. Sauder asks, and often answers, such questions as:

Where are the secret underground bases? How far down do they go?

What leaks are coming from the classified world?

What has the U.S. Navy planned for beneath the ocean floor?

Are there bases beneath the ocean? Whats going on beneath Washington,

D.C.? Are there high-speed, underground maglev

systems? What is the connection with UFOs and the

alien question?

This is a book that truly goes where no other book has gone before. It is a must-read for

any and all who are seeking to understand the full magnitude of the Matrix-like reality

of our civilization.

The Secret Military Remote Perception Skill Anyone Can Learn: The Essential Guide To Remote

Viewing

This book was written by Paul H. Smith, PhD., and an army veteran who was involved in this

program for several years.

Did you know that the CIA, in conjunction with Stanford university, were involved in

the scientific study of parapsychological phenomena that lasted more than two decades?

Part of this program was examining the efficacy of remote viewing, supposedly for intelligence

gathering purposes. (source)

Remote viewing is the ability of a person to describe a remote geographical location

up to several hundred thousand kilometers from their actual physical location.

In these experiments, multiple individuals were able to describe distinct objects that

were located in a separate room, and at other remote physical locations from where there

body was not.

Parapsychology: A Handbook For The 21st Century

This is the first book in more than 40 years to provide a comprehensive scientific overview

of research in the field of parapsychology, explaining what we know and dont know about

so-called psi phenomena, such as telepathy, precognition or psychokinesis. Contributors

evaluate the evidence for these phenomena, accounting for factors such as selective memory,

wish fulfillment and incorrect methods or analyses, in some cases offering psychological,

physical and biological theories.

31 chapters by 37 experts including:

Implicit Physical Psi: The Global Consciousness Project (Roger D. Nelson)

Macro-Psychokinesis (Stephen E. Braude) Psi and Psychophysiology (Dean Radin and

Alan Pierce) Psi in Everyday Life: Nonhuman and Human

(Rupert Sheldrake) Reincarnation: Field Studies and Theoretical

Issues Today (Antonia Mills and Jim B. Tucker) Statistical Guidelines for Empirical Studies

(Patrizio E. Tressoldi and Jessica Utts)

Being Stealth & Adjusting to A New Life - Duration: 7:12.

Welcome back to youngblossom, my name is Jonah.

I have some butter toffee coffee in my lens mug, so you know it's a good time.

I've been living in Madison, Wisconsin for about two weeks now officially, and it's been

a really great time, and I'm really enjoying adjusting to city life and I'm just really

happy with my decision to move here.

One of the biggest things that I've noticed in the past two weeks of living here is just

how different it is to exist as a queer person in a city versus in a very small town.

Prior to living in Madison, I lived in a very small, rural farm town, and the population

was like 6,000.

So everybody knew everybody's business all the time, and everybody knew everybody.

So that's very different than the city life where nobody really knows who I am.

One of the most difficult things that I've dealt with since coming out as queer like

a few years ago is just uh the fact that I was living in a small town, and everybody

knew that I was queer.

It was like this topic of conversation and just this like gossip that everybody wanted

to talk about.

So everybody knew I was trans, and I really didn't get a say in who knew and who didn't

know.

And then people who would meet me, they would be like "Oh yeah, you're the trans one." and

I was just like my town's token trans person.

And it was really really uncomfortable, and I couldn't get away from that.

It was a really difficult environment to be in, where everybody knew because I had like

no say in who knew and who didn't know, and that just made me feel very unsafe a lot of

the times because especially in small towns people are very transphobic and gross and

just in general they make you feel very unsafe.

So moving to a new city, it was definitely a fresh start for me.

I was starting at ground zero with every single new person that I met.

Uh whether that was like coworkers or just other people that I've encountered since moving

here.

Nobody knows my backstory, and nobody knows really anything about me, and that's like

something that's really cool but also like very strange because I'm not used to that

at all.

And I think that as queer people, you should have the decision to tell who you want to

tell, and it's not only a matter of personal preference but also it's sometimes juts a

matter of safety.

Like you don't always wanna tell every single person that you meet that you're queer and

that's your decision as a queer person.

And I felt like I was robbed of that decision when I lived in a small town because everybody

just knew off the bat and felt that it was their god given right to tell other people.

So it's been really interesting moving to a new city where nobody knows that I'm queer,

and nobody knows that I'm trans, and people just like don't know my backstory.

And I can choose to tell that to people or to keep it to myself, and that's something

that I haven't previously had experience with.

And like I previously said, I'm realizing more and more that the attitude that people

have towards queer people here is much much different than small towns.

Like people here are way more open minded and accepting of people who may be different

from them uh not just in the sense of being queer, but really any marginalized community

like people here are way more accepting of people who are different than them, and that's

something that I'm just like not used to.

Like on the odd chance that somebody in my hometown didn't know that I was trans and

didn't know that I was queer, like I didn't really always feel safe telling those people

and I just kinda kept it to myself because you really don't know how people are going

to react in a small town.

Even though nobody really knows that I'm trans here, I feel safe telling people that I'm

trans.

I haven't told my workplace, like I haven't told any of my coworkers.

Like basically the only people here that know that I'm trans are my roommates and that's

just something that's like so refreshing and like weird.

I just like don't know what to do with like this new situation.

It's different, and I'm not used to it.

It's just kind of been really nice to be able to have a choice in who knows and who doesn't

know because I didn't have this choice before.

I'm not used to having a choice.

And honestly if people don't know off the bat that I'm trans, like they'll probably

know to some extent that I'm queer because uh just being socialized as female for most

of my life, a lot of my mannerisms and the things that I do are seen as very feminine,

and femininity is like often conflated with like being queer.

Chase Ross talks about this a lot how like a lot of people if they don't even know that

he's trans will assume that he's gay just because of they way that he acts, and I feel

like that's the case for me too.

I was recently getting my hair cut at a new place uh that I decided to go to since moving

here, and the person who was cutting my hair was like "Well, since you're 19 and you're

giving off really good vibes, I just wanted to recommend this club to you that's downtown."

They definitely recommended that I go to a gay club, and I was like hmmm.

I'm giving off "good vibes", which translates to me as "queer vibes", which I agree are

good vibes.

But it was just funny to me that I'd never met this person in my life and they're just

cutting my hair and then they're like "Yeah you should go check out this gay bar downtown.

Like it's super accepting and everybody there just wants to have a good time."

I have literally not mentioned anything about being queer, but you are recommending a gay

bar to me, so uh that's pretty funny.

And going back to the whole topic of people being more accepting of queer people here,

uh I wanted to share something from work the other day.

I mentioned this in my last video, but I got hired as a barista, and I've been like training

this past week, and uh this past week, a customer came through the line, and she was wearing

a little pin on her coat, and it was a trans pride flag, and it said "I stand with you."

And I literally almost broke out crying.

It really took me by surprise because I'm not used to that.

I'm not used to people like even knowing what the word "trans" is.

That was just something that was like so humbling and just like so reaffirming of this decision

to move to Madison like it made me feel so much better and like this is exactly where

I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to be doing.

It just felt so so good.

I just feel very safe existing as a queer person here, and I definitely feel safe to

like tell people if I want to because people here are way more accepting.

It just makes me really really excited and really happy that I chose to move here.

And before I finish this video, I did want to talk about the topic quick that ties into

this video, but it's just on the concept of passing privilege.

I hate the concept of passing.

I hate that um trans people feel like they have to "look cis" to be able to exist in

society peacefully.

But sadly that is the reality that we live in right now.

I am very fortunate to have passing privilege.

And I know that not everybody has passing privilege, so I just, I wanted to take a minute

to acknowledge my privilege because I know that this whole video like somebody could

just be like rolling their eyes like "Really?

This kid is complaining about how weird it is to like have passing privilege and like

be able to be stealth?"

So I just wanted to touch on that because I think it's important that if you have privilege

that you recognize it.

I've really enjoyed living in Madison for the past couple of weeks, and this just feels

like the right decision.

I'm really happy with my choice in moving here, and I think it's gonna be really really

good for me and my social life and my mental health and everything like that.

I hope you are all doing very well and taking care of yourselves.

You deserve the best.

I hope you have a wonderful week, and I will see you in my next video.

Peace and love.

BOOKTUBE NEWBIE TAG 2.0 [CC] - Duration: 12:35.

Hello my name is Stephen Alff and welcome back to Alffbooks! And today I'm here to

do the booktube newbie tag 2.0! This tag was created by Catalyst Reads and I was

tagged by Jay from Captured in Words! So I'll be leaving both of their videos

down in the description! And yeah it's time to move on to the questions!

The first question is what genres would you like to see talked about more on

booktube? I'd like to see more historical fiction! Historical fiction is something

I've really gotten into I've started writing historical fiction and I'm

always looking for more historical fiction! So more people talking about it

means I discover more historical fiction, so that would be really cool! So there's

that! I'd also like to see people talk about classics more! I find, and that was

my case for years, that classics are very often thought of as reading material for

school or for college and because of that in some sense they're avoided as

too difficult or too potentially boring and though I don't like all classics

that I've read which is always the case about any type of book that you read! I

find that you need to give any book a good chance if you think that you may be

interested and you're just saying mmhnm because it's a classic, you should pick

it up! So yeah classics! If you talk about classics, let me know as well! The second

question is what ways do you feel are the best to make friends on booktube! And

I find that if you comment on other people's videos you are going to get

their attention. Especially if they've got really small channels! They are most

likely to really want to engage with you! So I find the booktube newbie tag is a

great way of meeting other people who love this community who've decided to

finally make videos and who aren't overloaded with comments, in a sense, that

they will see your comment and they will be more than happy to respond and the

thing is making friends on booktube is just making friends with anyone who

loves reading books and that starts with the people who've just started out and

it also makes them feel really welcomed! So I find that's a really good way of

engaging with people and making friends! Another great way is off the platform on

Twitter for example. You can tweet at other booktubers

and just start conversations there about different topics and I find that's a

great way of getting to know each other better and also just creating real good

friendships! And another way which I find is really interesting is to create

meetups! So if there are no meetups being organized at the moment in your area, you

can look into organizing your own meetups and that can always be really

fun because well you get to meet people in person, talk about books, maybe go to

book stores together and that's that's really cool yes! I find that when you

start looking you're always surprised by how many people close enough to you

actually are interested in and talk about books online they don't

necessarily have to be booktubers but they can be book bloggers. They can be

bookstagrammers. They can just be people who like tweeting about books and

I find that always fascinating to just talk with people who love books! The

third question is what do you enjoy most about making booktube videos! And I find

that I love just coming up with ideas! I love trying to see if they're possible

and I absolutely love working with other people to try and make those ideas

possible! It's just so much more fun when you can actually work with other people!

So I find even if it's just bouncing ideas off of someone... just throwing

them at them! *laughs* I find that is a really good way of just working through

possibilities for videos and that process is really fun! I do that with

booktube friends, I do that with family. I just find it really fun to see how other

people like ideas or what their input can be in a video! question four is what do

you least look forward to when making a booktube video? There are two things!

Firstly, making sure the lighting is right. Not that I look too bleached or

that it's too dark. I've had that problem before it's

just so irritating! And another one is background noise! I always try to reduce

background noise as much as possible and it's gotten to the point that if I hear

someone walking past the door even if I can barely hear them, myself, I'm like oh no

it will corrupt the audio even though the chances are that it

won't! But I try to film when there's as little noise as possible and noise is

something that I can't edit it out because I don't know how to.. audio sound

editing so it's always better to not have it in the first place! But yeah that

is something that I don't look forward to! The fifth question is what videos

other than tags, TBRs wrap-ups and reviews and recommendations would you

like to see more of? And definitely, hands down, discussion videos and sketches! I

love those! Personally I mean I want to do as many sketches as possible over the

next few months and years because I plan on being here for the long run! And

discussion videos because they really open your mind I find! Someone will

bring up a point at some point in their discussion video that you're never going

to have considered before and that is something I find fascinating! Just being

able to compare how you approach an idea or a concept or something you may not

even have thought of in detail and see that there's more to it than you

expected! The same thing applies to when preparing a discussion video! I find that

I will invariably look into the pros and cons of it and try and see both sides of

the discussion! Though I may not always understand or agree with all the points,

I'll try and find points that I can agree with or at least that I can

understand that others gonna agree with it! I find it's

always more interesting to try and give two aspects of a discussion, so both your

point of view and the opposite point of view. And whether you are the person

explaining those other points or whether you bring someone in to do that with you,

I think is really important to keep a discussion balanced and try and you know

try and find out and explain what both sides are. I mean I tried to do one of

those on booktube and why I love booktube and it turned into just the

video these are the reasons why I love booktube and yeah I love booktube! But

then I did one further back about book hauls and that one

was more balanced I mentioned pros for book hauls and also reasons I didn't

really like them that much and in the end turns out that well there's more

cons for me personally, so I don't make them. So yeah it's always good to

weigh pros and cons. The sixth question is what themes would you like to see

less of or more of in books? And for me less of, definitely, love triangles! Now if

a love triangle is well done, well explained, that there's a sense to it? No

problem! But more often than not the love triangle doesn't make sense! It's just a

love triangle between three of the main characters and there's no real sense to

it! it's just there because it can be there! That's not something I like seeing!

It's just a waste of ink! So yeah, that's what I wouldn't like to see as much of

if possible! And what I'd like to see more isn't really a theme but more the

unexpected! I like seeing something that I didn't expect! When I'm reading a book,

if I put the book down I'll be thinking about the book until the next time I

could pick it up and that is coming up with possible scenarios, possible ways

the story could go and I like when a book brings me down a route I didn't

expect! And that is what I like seeing in books! So if I can see more of that and less

books that are "oh yeah I kind of knew that was gonna happen" I'd be really

happy! I'm not saying that they don't already exist I just want to see so so

many more of those! That would be really cool The seventh question is what are some of

your booktube goals! Well, I want to make more friends on booktube that's a clear

one! I would love that! I want to do more collabs and I want to make things that are new! I

want to create something that doesn't exist yet on booktube and whether that

is by working together with other people and creating something sketch wise or

other that is just really different or on my own just coming up with an idea, a

way of filming a video differently? I just want to bring something different and

yeah we'll see how that works! I'm constantly

looking into ways of bringing maybe something that I see in an other type of

video or in another medium into my videos and maybe at some point I'll find

something that I'm like yes that is what I want to do! Whether it's by adapting it

from somewhere else or coming up with something completely new I think that

would be fun! The eighth question is what advice do you have for booktubers who

just started out? Well, read what you like and make the videos you want to make! I...

There's nothing really more to say. If you don't like one of the common video

types that are out there: book hauls, TBRs, wrap-ups, tags. If there's something you

don't want to do, just don't do it! It's up to you to do whatever you want with

your channel! As I was saying earlier, I don't do book hauls. It doesn't stop me

from making videos! I enjoy making videos. I still make videos about books the

whole time and I think it's important that people don't feel pressured into

because everyone else is doing it that they have to do it! And the same thing

applies for books if everyone is talking about a book you don't necessarily have

to go out there and buy it just because everyone else is talking about it! You

don't necessarily have to read it because everyone else is talking about

it! Just read what you want! And if a book does sound interesting and everyone is

talking about it, by all means, go ahead! But don't just read something or do

something because everyone else is doing it!

Question 9 is what qualities or traits do you look for in other booktubers when

deciding what to watch? And well, I just look for people who are passionate about

books! That's pretty much it! I mean that's pretty much everyone on booktube!

But basically I just love watching videos at books no matter who, no matter

what genre the books are in! I like seeing people passionate about things!

And that is all I look for! Question ten is what is a fun fact or a hobby that

you have that other people on booktube wouldn't know that you have? Well, I can

juggle! Juggling is fun! And now I just hope that I don't hit the

microphone! I haven't really practiced, so yeah! This is where I hope this isn't a

bad idea! I think I might actually move the microphone away just for this

because this might be a bad idea otherwise! I don't want to break my

microphone! There! further away! Now I hope I don't hit the computer there!

I haven't done this in a while!

question 11: Who do you tag! What I want to do from now on when I'm

doing tag videos is I want to tag both people

I've been following and I really want to tag and also people I really want to tag

but who've just started out! Partly because I want to make them feel more

welcome in the community in general I want them also to be maybe more

noticed! And yeah, by doing so I'll be leaving links to all

the people I tagged in the description down below, so feel free to go and check

them out! Without further ado, who do I tag? I'm tagging YouFoundMarina, clarareadsbooks,

Spinsters' Library, Jessica breathe and read, bookish land, the Dyslexic Reader,

Teller of Tales, Irish reader, This Story Ain't Over and Emma Lou! I look

forward to seeing all of your videos! I hope you enjoyed this video! I will leave

you with my most recent video on this side and a video I think you're really

going to like! That's all for me, bye!

5 Pyramids of the Ancient World that You May Not Have Heard About - Duration: 8:32.

5 Pyramids of the Ancient World that You May Not Have Heard About

The Great Pyramid of Giza is undoubtedly one of the most well-known icons of the ancient

world.

But thousands of other pyramids exist, not just in Egypt, but across the entire globe,

including Europe, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.

The reason why so many ancient civilizations, many of which had no contact with each other,

were constructing pyramids at around the same time remains a bit of a mystery.

Nevertheless, many of these impressive monuments remain as legacies of these rich, ancient

cultures.

Here, we look at 5 little-known pyramids from the ancient world.

1.

A Pyramid in the Heart of Rome, Italy

Rome is well known for its ancient architecture the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trajans Market

and the Roman Forum to name a few but one thing it is not often associated with

is pyramids.

But right in the heart of Rome, sits a 2,000-year-old pyramid, measuring 30 meters along each side

and 35 meters in height.

You cant miss it!

Yet very few people have heard of Romes Pyramid of Cestius.

The Pyramid of Cestius was built along the Via Ostiensis, an important road in ancient

Rome, sometime between 18 and 12 BC.

While it is debatable whether the Egyptian pyramids were ever really used as tombs, the

pyramid of Cestius most definitely was.

Within the pyramid is a barrel-vaulted burial chamber which, according to the inscriptions

on the east and west flanks of the pyramid, housed the body of a Roman politician known

as Gaius Cestius Epulo, a tribune, praetor and member of the priesthood.

A second inscription announces that the building of this pyramid was completed in 330 days.

2.

The Mysterious Pyramids of Tenerife, Canary Islands

Tenerife in the Canary Islands is well-known as a holiday destination, but many tourists

visit the island unaware that there are pyramids there and an ongoing mystery.

Who built the pyramids, when were they constructed, and why?

The pyramids can be found at Gmar, a town in the south of Tenerife.

Built from lava stone without the use of mortar, the pyramids have caused much controversy

among academics.

One study dated the pyramids to the 19th century AD, based on pottery found near the site,

and said they are little more than piles of volcanic rocks that farmers had made when

clearing the land.

However, this has been hotly disputed.

Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl argues that the pyramids were built by the Guanches, the

aboriginal Berber inhabitants of the Canary Islands who migrated to the archipelago around

1,000 BC.

Hayerdahl points out that the constructions are painstakingly designed with stepped levels

and possible alignments made for ceremonial purposes, such as those that could have been

carried out at the Summer Solstice.

In 1991, Juan Antonio Belmonte Avils, Antonio Aparicio Juan, and Csar Esteban Lpez,

who were researchers from the Canary Institute of Astrophysics, demonstrated that the long

sides of some of the terraces surrounding the pyramids of Gmar marked the direction

of winter and summer solstices.

Heyerdahl hypothesized that the Canarian pyramids formed a temporal and geographic stopping

point on voyages between ancient Egypt and the Maya civilization, initiating a controversy

in which historians, archaeologists, astronomers, and those with a general interest in history

have all taken part.

3.

The Great Pyramid of Cholula, Mexico

Despite being recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest pyramid in the world

in terms of its volume, not many people have heard of the Great Pyramid of Cholula.

Located just outside the city of Puebla, the pyramid was dedicated to Quetzalcoatl, one

of the most important deities of the Mesoamerican pantheon, and during pre-Colombian times,

Cholula was a large city and the religious center of highland Mexico.

The construction of the temple began during the 2nd century BC, and went through several

stages before achieving its final form.

Around 1100 AD, the city fell into the hands of the Toltec-Chichimecas and the pyramid

was abandoned as new temples were created.

Over the centuries, it became covered in earth and vegetation and it was not until 1910,

when authorities began the construction of a mental asylum, that the natural hill

was found to be the home of an ancient pyramid.

4.

The Legendary 1,000Ft White Pyramid of Xian, China

Scattered across an isolated, flat plain in Shaanxi Province, near the ancient capital

of Xian, lie dozens of spectacular pyramid mounds that are little known outside China.

Mixed in with the reality of these impressive tombs, is a legend of an enormous 1,000-foot

white, jewel-capped pyramid that would outshine even the Great Pyramid of Giza.

While some researchers believe that aerial sightings of the White Pyramid of Xian

correspond with the Maoling Mausoleum, tomb of Emperor Wu of Han, others maintain that

the legendary pyramid is yet to be found.

Reported sightings of an enormous white pyramid in China date back more than a century to

the diary entries of American travel agent and trader Fred Meyer Schroder, who spotted

a giant pyramid in the distance while walking with a Buddhist monk guide in Shaanxi Province

in 1912.

Schroder estimated that it was at least 300 meters high (roughly 1,000 feet) with 500-meter

sides.

Such dimensions would give the structure a volume ten times greater than that of the

Great Pyramid in Egypt.

Schroders Mongolian guide, Bogdo, informed him that the pyramids are at least 3,000 years

old and that information about them is recorded in ancient monastic documents and is well-known

in local legend.

Two more sightings by pilots occurred in the 1940s, both corroborating earlier reports

of its size and features.

Some believe that the White Pyramid may lie within the rugged terrain of the Qin Ling

Mountains, difficult to spot among the towering mountains and deep gorges.

Numerous researchers and explorers have pursued the White Pyramid of Xian, but none to

date have been successful.

5.

The 5,000-Year-Old Pyramid City of Caral, Peru

The Norte Chico civilization of Supe, Peru was the first known civilization of the Americas.

Their capital was the Sacred City of Caral a 5,000-year-old metropolis complete with

complex agricultural practices, rich culture, and monumental architecture, including stone

and earthen platform mounds, temples, amphitheatre, sunken circular plazas, residential areas

and six large step pyramids.

The ancient city was first discovered in 1905 by the German archaeologist Max Uhle, but

it wasnt until the 1970s that archaeologists realized that the hills originally identified

as natural formations were actually step pyramids.

By the 1990s, the full extent of the great city of Caral and its six pyramids had emerged

after having lain buried beneath the sand for five millennia.

While we already know of the existence of thousands of pyramids around the world, it

is hypothesized that there are hundreds more that are yet to be discovered.

From the dense jungles of South America and Asia, to enormous mounds covered in vegetation

or snow that could easily be mistaken for natural hills, the planet has not yet revealed

all of the pyramids from its ancient past.

Click the link in my video's description for your chance to win!

Hi. This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV.

I'm going to show you how to create a powerful, film noir-style portrait.

Open a high-resolution photo of someone that you'd like to use for this project.

The result will look best if your subject's lighting is mostly from one side.

I downloaded this photo from Shutterstock.

Its size is 1080 pixels in width and height and its resolution is 150 pixels per inch.

The first step is to separate our subject from its background by making a selection

around our subject.

For this example, I'll use the Quick Selection Tool.

If you're using this tool, as well, drag the tool over the inside of your subject to select it.

To remove areas outside your subject, press and hold Alt or Option as you drag over those areas.

To finesse the selection of the hair, click the "Select and Mask " button

or go to Select and Select and Mask.

If you're using a version earlier than CC 2015.5, you'll see "Refine Edge", instead of "Select and Mask".

I did in-depth tutorials on both filters, so if you'd like to watch them, I provided

their links in my video's description below.

If you're using CC 2015.5 or later and would like to use Refine Edge instead of Select

and Mask, Shift-click "Select and Mask" to open the Refine Edge" window.

I'll click "Smart Radius and drag the Radius to approximately 42 pixels.

Then, I'll drag my brush over the edge of the hair.

I'll check "Decontaminate Colors" to fill in the edge of the hair and choose "New Layer with Layer Mask".

We'll make this layer into a new document by clicking the icon at the upper right of

the Layers panel and clicking "Duplicate Layer".

Open the Documents list and click "New".

Name it "Displacement".

We're going to make this document into a displacement map, which we'll use to wrap

the shadows of the shutter blinds around the contours of our subject.

We'll make a new layer below the active layer

by Ctrl-clicking or Cmd-clicking the New Layer icon. We'll fill it with white, but first,

check your foreground and background colors.

If they aren't black and white respectively, press "D" on your keyboard.

Since white is your background color, press Ctrl or Cmd + Delete.

We'll convert our visible image into a Smart Object, so we can modify it non-destructively.

To do this, Shift-click your subject to make it active as well, and then, convert them into one Smart Object.

Click the Adjustment Layer icon and click "Black White".

Click the Adjustment Layer icon again and this time, click "Levels".

Drag the Input Highlight slider to the point where the histogram starts to rise

and do the same for the Input Shadows.

This increases our subject's contrast, which will make our displacement map more effective.

Next, we'll blur it, which will also give us a better result.

Make your subject layer active

and go to Filter, Blur and Gaussian Blur.

Blur it 2 pixels.

Go to File and Save As.

Save it to your Desktop, so we can access it quickly.

Save it as Photoshop file

and click "Save".

If you see this message, just click OK.

Open back your subject document.

Ctrl-click or Cmd-click the New Layer icon to make a new layer below the active layer.

Open your Gradient Tool and make sure the Linear gradient icon is active.

Click the gradient bar to open the Gradient Editor.

Click the "Black, White" preset and click the lower, left Stop.

Click the color box to open the Color Picker.

Click the lower, left corner of the color field and for Brightness, type in 20.

Then, click OK.

Click the lower, right Stop , the Color Box and for Brightness, type in 50.

Then click OK on both windows to close them.

If your subject is lit from the right, place your cursor on the left edge of your document

and press and hold the Shift key as you drag the Gradient Tool to the right edge.

Then, release.

If your subject is lit from the left, then, drag the Gradient Tool to the left.

Make your subject active.

Click the Adjustment layer icon and click "Black White".

We want to restrict the adjustment layer to affect just the one layer beneath it.

To do this, either click the Clipping Mask icon or press Ctrl + Alt + G on Windows or

Cmd + Option + G on a Mac.

Open the Preset list.

I'll click the "Red Filter" to brighten the warm colors of my subject's face, however,

you may find that the Default setting is fine for your subject.

Click the lock icon on the bottom layer to unlock it and drag the layer to the top of your Layers panel.

I'm going to make the red lips of my subject the only color we'll see in my portrait.

If you want to do the same for a particular color of your subject, the steps will essentially be the same.

Go to Select and "Color Range".

Open the "Select" list and click "Sampled Colors".

Make the "Fuzziness" 40.

Click the subject's color that you'd like to isolate.

Then, press and hold Shift

as you drag over more of the same color to include subtle variations of that color.

If you over-selected it, press "z" on your keyboard to undo it.

If you want to zoom into the area to see it better, press "z" on your keyboard to

open your Zoom Tool and drag over the selected area.

Make the selection into a Quick Mask by pressing "Q' on your keyboard.

I'm going to change the color of my red quick mask to see the lips better.

If you want to change the color of your quick mask, double-click the quick mask icon.

Click the color box and pick another color.

Then, click OK on both windows.

Press "Q" again to make the selection into a quick mask.

We want to remove unwanted areas of the quick mask and fill in other areas.

Open your Brush Tool and Brush Picker.

I'll make the size: 6 pixels, the Hardness: 0% and Opacity: 100%.

To remove areas of the quick mask, make sure white is your foreground color.

If your colors are inverted, press "x".

Now, brush over the unwanted areas.

To fill in areas, press "Q" and invert the selection by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + Shift + I.

Press "Q" again and then press "x" to make your foreground color black.

Brush over areas you want to fill in.

Press "Q" and invert the selection.

Click the Layer Mask icon to make a layer mask of the selection next to the active layer.

To fit your document back onto the canvas press Ctrl or Cmd + 0.

Next, we'll create the dramatic lighting of shutter blinds.

Click the New Layer icon to make a new layer.

We'll fill it with 50% gray.

To do this, press Shift + the F5 key at the top of your keyboard or go to Edit and Fill

to open the "Fill" window.

Open the "Contents" list and click "50% Gray".

Press "D" on your keyboard to make your foreground and background colors black and white, respectively.

Go to Filter and Filter Gallery.

Open the Sketch folder and click "Halftone Pattern".

The Pattern Type is "Line".

Drag the Size and Contrast all the way to the right.

Open your Channels panel.

If you don't see it, go to Window and Channels.

Ctrl-click or Cmd-click the RGB channel to make a selection of the pattern.

Open back the Layers panel and press the "Delete" key on your keyboard

to delete the white rows of the pattern.

Then, deselect it.

Next, we'll enlarge our pattern.

Open your Transform Tool by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + T.

Click the chain-link icon to link the Width and the Height.

Now, when we type a percentage amount in either the Width or the Height, the other will change

to that amount, as well.

Type in 300% in either field.

Next, we'll change its perspective, but first,

zoom out by pressing Ctrl or Cmd and the minus key on your keyboard a few times.

Go to Edit, Transform and Perspective.

Go to the top, left corner and drag straight up approximately this much.

Then, go inside the bounding box and drag it to the left until the bounding box is close

to the right edge of your document.

Then, press Enter or Return.

Fit it back onto your canvas.

Press "v" to open your Move Tool and position your pattern, so the eyes of your subject,

and in this example, the lips are visible.

Go to Filter, Blur and Gaussian Blur.

Blur it 20 pixels and click OK or press Enter or Return.

Reduce its opacity to 70%.

Let's rename it, "Wall", since this layer will be the pattern on the wall behind our subject.

Ctrl-click or Cmd-click the layer mask of our subject to make a selection of its shape.

Alt-click or Option-click the Layer Mask icon to make an inverted layer mask of the selection,

next to the active layer.

This layer mask is essentially masking out or hiding our subject from the pattern.

Click off the chain-link icon, so we can adjust the pattern independent of the layer mask.

Press Ctrl or Cmd + J to make a copy of it.

Make the top layer mask active and invert it by pressing Ctrl of Cmd + I.

This layer mask is revealing the pattern onto our subject through the layer mask.

Let's name this layer, "Subject", since it shows the pattern only on our subject.

Increase its opacity a bit to 75%.

Before we apply the displacement map to the pattern,

we need to crop off the pattern that extends past our visible canvas.

Remember, we enlarged the pattern 300% and placed it in perspective.

Press Ctrl or Cmd + A to select our canvas and go to Image and Crop.

Then, deselect it.

Go to Filter, Distort and Displace.

Make the Horizontal and Vertical Scales: 20, "Stretch to Fit" and "Repeat Edge Pixels".

Click the "Displacement" file you saved at the beginning and click "Open".

This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV.

Thanks for watching.

How Far Should A Filmmaker Go To Get The Shot? by Christopher Smith & Stephanie Lincoln - Duration: 6:01.

Film Courage: In the Kickstarter video [for CURRENT SEA] you have an image of a man fighting

off another man on the boat or there's a fight that takes place, so we see that [where

the movie is shot] it's a turbulent environment.

With some of the filming that you've been exposed to, are you worried about your own

personal safety?

Stephanie Lincoln: I'm worried about Christopher's safety all the time when he's there and

I'm not there.

Christopher Smith: Really?

You never told me that.

Well my mom is, I know that much.

And now Stephanie.

You know, filming in Cambodia in particular (I'll just speak for that) because it's

probably different in different countries but you kind of get a pass a bit for being

a Westerner.

And you have a certain degree of protection that locals don't have.

And so a lot of journalists who are Cambodian, a lot of environmentalists that are Cambodian

are either imprisoned or sometimes disappear or there are some prominent cases of some

very public bad things happening that of course never really get solved or tied to anybody.

It is a lot more dangerous for them than it is for people like us going in.

However, when you are out on the open oceans, a lot of things can accidentally happen and

actually we (in the course of making this film) learned about a local Cambodian champ

fisherman who was hurt by a Vietnamese fisherman and of course no one was held responsible

for that.

So there is a certain amount of danger for sure and particularly on these boats, they

are really small and there's not a lot of places to run and hide, you can't just run

away.

It's like you're stuck there.

There was a few moments which isn't in the Kickstarter video (it might not even be in

the film) but where we were out on patrol and that's what MCC calls it when they go

out an look for illegal fisherman, it's called Patrol.

Not to necessarily go looking but when they kind of come in their area they'll kind

of go out to try to stop them and they take the nets.

And so when we do some of those things they are usually at night because that is when

illegal fisherman are operating and they operate without lights so you go out there and it's

pitch black.

And Stephanie, when we went out there the first time we had an encounter.

So then what happens is they'll like kind of creep up on the illegal fisherman and then

they will turn on their lights and start shining lights on them.

But then the fisherman have brighter lights that they shine back on you and they usually

fish in groups and so what they do is they drop their nets and they start circling you

and there is lots of yelling in Khmer which is the language of Cambodia.

And it's actually really kind of scary!

It might not come off that way in the video, but in the moment it's like anything can

happen.

One time I was there (the second time) we went out and we didn't have the advantage…it

was a new moon so there was no light basically and you could barely make out some shapes

and all of the sudden we pretty much realized that we were surrounded four or five giant…actually

I think it might have been as much as seven Vietnamese paratrawlers and you can hear on

the radio and their lights start to come in when they see you…everybody knows who Paul

is [one of the subject's in CURRENT SEA] and what they do.

So they are on the lookout for Paul and that's why they travel in groups so then they can

kind of combat them better.

At that point they kind of surrounded us and we actually moved away because we were worried

about getting too far away from…they have a medium sized boat, a speed boat and a big

boat.

And if we were too far away from reinforcements in the big boat then it could be an issue.

Nothing ended up happening that night, but there are moments where…when it feels in

control, it's not as scary.

But the moment where you feel that this has now gotten out of control, that's when your

warning bells go off.

Having said that, nothing has happened so far.

I think that legally speaking like getting in trouble with the people in charge of the

country there is some risk there in terms of they could decide that they just don't

want to tolerate us anymore and I don't think they would necessarily get us in trouble

but they could definitely kick us out of the country and say we can't come back again

and then we would be able to finish our movie.

There is a little bit of that fear, too, which I think is a little unfair in a way.

Not unfair…but we are trying to do with our movie what is best for Cambodia which

is shed light on this sort of issue because a lot of these illegal fisherman are really

what they are doing besides destroying the environment which as Westerners is why were

are probably initially drawn to it.

But in terms of the people in the country, there's a lot of people who live off of

the ocean and subsistence fishing who are having a harder and harder time being able

to do that because the fish are disappearing, the habitat for the fish is disappearing,

they'll put their crab posts in or their own smaller nets that just get taken up by

the big fishing boats and they lose their livelihood and they also get into skirmishes

with these larger illegal fisherman and so there is people there who kind of need this

to happen for them (not so much for the movie) but for the work that Paul and Matt are doing

and so getting that out there to the larger audience is going to be very helpful.

And I would hope that the people in charge of the country would understand that's what

we are trying to do and we're not there to make them look bad but to try to uh…like…correct

some injustices, perhaps?

Stephanie Lincoln: Yeah and….[doorbell rings].

Christopher Smith: The mail is here!

Wiz Khalifa Tells Fans: 'Lean is Lame' - Duration: 1:48.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Wiz Khalifa shared a message for his fans Saturday over Instagram.

The "Laugh Now, Fly Later" rapper seemed to get in his feelings and wanted to empower

anyone watching his video post.

He started off saying,

"You know I was doing a lot of thinking, because I like to think a lot.

And you know when a lot of people follow one trend, or find themselves doing the same thing

that everyone else is doing, you don't really get someone who speaks for the other side."

In between drags of his joint he continued to say.

There

you have it, for Wiz Khalifa lean is definitely lame, but if you're looking at all the recent

tracks dedicated to the concoction, its popularity doesn't seem to be waning anytime soon.

It's been endorsed by the likes of Three 6 Mafia and UKG, Ab-Soul, and Lil Wayne.

However the deaths of DJ Screw and Pimp C were linked to codeine consumption and overdose,

while Bun B and Macklemore have spoken openly about using and then quitting their consumption

of lean.

In other Wiz Khalifa news, his mixtape "Live now, fly later" was released earlier this

week .The 10-track project will reportedly precede Rolling Papers 2 and it has just one

feature, Casey Veggies, who assists on the project opener "Royal Highness."

That's your news for now, for more on this and the rest of today's stories subscribe

JUST IN: NFL Protester Makes Shocking Move, Media Stunned. - Duration: 4:03.

JUST IN: NFL Protester Makes Shocking Move, Media Stunned.

Seattle Seahawks defensive end, Michael Bennett, shows that the issue of NFL players kneeling

for the national anthem isn't as cut-and-dry as one might think.

Before Thursday night's game against the Arizona Cardinals, Bennett decided to stand

for the national anthem.

Previously, the defensive end has sat down during the anthem.

Bennett became one of the faces of the NFL protests.

Previously, he vowed to sit during the national anthem for the entire football season.

He made this vow even before President Trump expressed his opinion that players should

be fired for kneeling during the Star Spangled Banner.

The defensive end is the son of a Navy veteran, so he was raised with respect for the men

and women in uniform.

Thursday was "Salute for Service Night," which is an event intended to honor United

States veterans.

Bennett also stood for the anthem on Veterans Day.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Thursday marked the first time all season that Bennett

stood for the national anthem.

The rest of his team also stood.

The reason NFL players have either kneeled or sat during the Star Spangled Banner is

to protest alleged police brutality against black Americans.

While Bennett believes in the objective of the protests, he also understands the importance

of respecting the military.

"It was to signify that we are all with the military, and that we love them," he

said in an interview with the Tacoma News Tribune.

"There's been this narrative that we don't care about the military.

Today, we were honoring the military, so we wanted to be able to honor the military.

The defensive end also stated that the protests have "never been about the military."

He added, "If there is an opportunity to support them and be grateful for what they

do, and the sacrifices, we want to be able to do that."

While Bennett does plan to sit for the national anthem at other games, he has stated that

this will not be the last time he will stand during the Star Spangled Banner.

On November 20, the Seahawks will host their "Salute to Service" game against the Atlanta

Falcons.

"This is Veterans Day weekend.

And next weekend is Salute to Service," Bennett said.

"I am going to stand up for that game, too, to honor them."

The NFL protests have been the subject of a heated national debate since former San

Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, began kneeling for the playing of the anthem.

The argument subsided earlier this year, but was brought back onto the public stage when

President Trump stated that players who kneel for the anthem should be fired.

There are reasonable arguments on both sides of this issue, and good Americans can disagree

on whether the NFL players' method of protest is appropriate.

Nevertheless, it is important that both sides truly understand one another — and mutual

understanding is something that is missing from our current political discourse.

Those who oppose kneeling for the national anthem accuse the players of not respecting

American soldiers.

While this accusation might apply to some who support these protests, the majority of

kneeling players have stated that they do not intend to disrespect the United States

or its troops — they only wish to bring awareness to a perceived injustice.

On the other hand, supporters of the protesting players label those with whom they disagree

as bigots who are uninterested in the plight of American minorities.

Are there some who oppose the protests as a result of bigotry?

Perhaps, but these individuals are few.

The majority of those who oppose the protests take issue with the way the NFL players are

protesting — not the fact that they are protesting in the first place.

Bennett's decision to stand during the national anthem shows that he can express his opinion

while still having respect for US armed forces.

Hopefully, people like him can help other Americans engage in debate without demonizing

one another.

What do you think about this?

The Weekend Wrap Up. C.Handler Is Libtarded, Facebook Wants Your Nudes And I Did Some Dumb Shit. - Duration: 10:17.

thanks for watching I'm B.W. Howe and this is my weekend wrap-up where I go over

some of the videos that I made earlier in the week and add anything you know

maybe some new evidence came up answer some comments or questions from any of

my subscribers and pretty much just go over in case you didn't have a chance to

watch some of the videos during the week this will get you up to speed if you're

new to this channel make sure you hit the subscribe button so that way you get

updates on all my latest videos and with that being said let's get into it one of

the videos that I made earlier in the week was about Chelsea Handler the

talk-show host of Chelsea Lately anyway this dumb bitch essentially

blamed the church shooting that happened in Texas on Republicans I'll throw the

tweet up on the screen so you can see it but in my opinion it was just it was

ridiculous you know I'm sick and tired I don't give a fuck what side you're on ER

okay if you're on the left you're on the right but why why are these fucking

celebrities right especially these liberal leftist celebrities why are they

always just trying to further the divide okay to say to say that was it was it

was an horrible taste for one but it doesn't even make any sense okay

regardless if you believe or agree with our gun control laws as they are the

fact of the matter remains had not a man been there with one of this with an

assault rifle that you probably the person problem would have killed a lot

more people you know a civilian stepped in because you know a simple fact of the

matter is everybody you know the argument is to disarm people you know

here's the thing okay average police response time and

I've read the stats I don't have them on hand so this is going to be an

approximate so don't blame me in the goddamn comments if I'm off by a fucking

percent okay this is an approximation but generally the average police

response time is double that of the average length of a shooting okay so

that means by the time that the police get there it's already done okay so my

argument for gun control has always been very simple all right one of the things

that Adolf Hitler did in Germany right before he rose to power

he enforced serialization of firearms then he took away anything but hunting

rifles and then eventually he said you know what we're just gonna take you

don't need a gun right you have you have the you have the government to protect

you you have the the entire army German army to protect you see the problem with

that is once you're disarmed and something happens like that there's no

way for you to rise up and stop a psychopath who's intent on murdering

lines millions of people okay now some people all that can never happen America

bullshit okay it can happen anywhere and if you don't think so then you're

fucking idiot all right those who those who disregard and ignore history they're

just doomed to repeat it okay so the saying that that could never

happen especially in today's climate you know with everybody divided on anything

you know a lot of people feel we're on the brink of the Civil War

you know so to disarm Americans or to allow yourself to be disarmed by the

government assuming they're gonna protect you well then you're just you're

just not even living in a dreamland so I'm not gonna get too deep into gun

control in this one I just wanna you know Chelsea Handler Chelsea Lately

whatever the fuck your name is you fuckin turkeyneck fucking Buzzard you're

a fucking asshole period end of story to blame Republicans for a church shooting

in a church mask and maybe maybe you should congratulate the Republican that

ended up stopping him and as far as I know the guy who was stopped was a

liberal atheist but anyway since that's neither here nor there your political

affiliation does does not constitute your ability to create a fuck to be a

horrible fucking person or to to enact one of these heinous crimes okay so

let's just agree to disagree whether you're on the left for the right was a

horrible thing and whether you believe in gun control or not you know the fact

of the matter is a civilian was the one who stopped him not the police so let

that sink into your noggin one of the other stories that I had done was I

printed a I filmed a retraction based upon one of my other videos in that

retraction was the auntie fo sign at the mic Serna bitch rally at Columbia

University that said no pedo bashing I made a video you know saying the left

supports pedophile says you know I was being dramatic but anyways the fact of

the matter is it was a troll and as soon as the sign as soon as the protesters

saw what was on the sign they ripped it down

okay so regardless I don't know with aunt Eva they haven't come out to say

that they support nabla North American man-boy love Association it was a troll

some people think it was Mike sterner that you who actually set it up I can

talk about I'm gonna talk about him a whole another time because he's a whole

nother fucking headcase but anyways so I do apologize for any of my viewers or

just anybody I do not now and never will even though my show is really more of a

you know I like to it's like a parody not a parody I bring up real events but

I I try to see the humor in them I will never purposely spread fake news or

falsities and if I find out that something that I said turn out to be

false I'll be the first one to admit that I was wrong and I was wrong on this

one and thank you Alex for bringing that to my to my attention and I also started

a podcast which you know I'm gonna be doing probably I don't know maybe once

or twice a week I didn't film the actual podcast this time around I will next

time it's just a an audio I broke it up into three different sections cuz I was

you know went on for about 30 minutes if you want check that out it's me and

Kathleen who is actually a sex therapist talking about various things in that why

people feel so uncomfortable talking with their partner about it but anyways

check that out if you haven't I'd love to know your thoughts on it

and the other thing the last video that I made which was about Facebook and a

experimental program that they have instituted in Australia to fight revenge

porn now here's the thing facebook wants you to send nude pictures of yourself

and videos of yourself to them so they can create a digital database so in the

event that you flags let's say you flag a photo you know I take

you know these take a dick pic and you send it to your old lady right you can

flag that photo so if she tries to send it to somebody else without your

permission it'll block it okay now that's all well and good but here's the

thing all right Facebook already get gathers all this

information about you they know your date of birth where you live where you

work who your friends are you know it's it's getting kind of crazy like at what

point do we just stops whoa just pump the brakes you know and in my opinion

it's a violation of fucking product to ask somebody to do that it's it's

ridiculous and you know some lawyer from freaking England you know she was like

well you know I respect I'd suspect that you know Facebook has really good

safeguards in place to protect their users well you're a fucking idiot okay

if you think that you think that there's no unhackable uncrackable system you're

foolish okay let's forget about on the iCloud shit got half there you know

Ashley masse and whatever the case is like all it's gonna take is either

somebody to hack it or you know when you're transmitting those images they

can be captured or crack their database and now boom you're gonna end up on

fucking 4chan or reddit with your fucking tits hanging out okay so I don't

think you know I think Facebook is taking more liberties than the goddamn

government which also needs to take a step back you know so be careful or be

cognizant at least to the fact of what you're giving to people but you know

into anytime a company or a government or anything anytime anybody tells me oh

well it's for your own good bullshit has anybody ever as a sentence

ever started with that and fucking ended out to be for your own good no it's

usually some sort of power trip or power struggle you know I'm pretty sure

actually Hitler said the same fucking thing in World War two when he disarmed

the Germans you know it's free your own good will protect you okay listen it's

nice that it's sure it's nice to have protection or somebody who you think

might protect you but the fact of the matter is you need to leave it up to

yourself to protect your okay and too much nowadays what I'm

seeing is people are relying on other people to do that like you can't rely on

anybody but yourself a lot of the time but you know don't don't think for a

second that Facebook or the government are gonna do things that are not in

their best interests and in the case of a company like Facebook their best

interest is making more money okay so think about that whenever they ask you

whenever something somebody's asks you for something think about what the

underlying motivation is because a lot of things in this life are a

manipulation you know and it's it's up to you to figure it out a lot of times

don't be a sucker don't be a sheep thanks for watching I really appreciate

it guys Chris Fragger thank you very much for

sending me the information on those articles you know I used one of my

subscribers Chris he sent me two articles which I ended up using in my

videos the the Facebook one and the the segregation video thank you very much

and anybody else if you have any ideas for me or if you have a story that you

think needs to be covered send it to me you know I'll take a look at it maybe

I'll make a video about it I'd love to hear your comments below

OCTOBER FAVORITES // 2017 - Duration: 7:37.

Hey, welcome back to the channel!

This is going to be my October favorites and I hope you enjoy!

So to start it off...

I have these leather wingtip brouges that I thrifted actually.

There was some similar ones on ASOS.com that I really really wanted

, but I'm not gonna pay seventy-five, eighty dollars for something that looks basically identical

and these are from Florsheim which I know is a

Pretty decent brand. When I first had these they were really, really, really,

REALLY, really dirty

So...first thing I did was when I got home

I got a little bowl of hot water and put the shoelaces in just the soak for 30 minutes while I polish everything up.

Before I could polish I actually had to clean them up so I got a

Washcloth and I wet it and went into the nooks and crannies where the stitching is

Where the broguing is that I even got here under the tongue...

Because a lot of people forget about that and it got to be nice and clean

whenever I polished it I

polish it real nice. I only invested about five dollars and the polish in the shoes themselves were only five dollars as you can

See there...so...I mean

five dollars and five dollars

I'm invested ten dollars in

Compared to the 75-80 dollars that the ASOS ones were going to be, so I think that's a pretty good deal.

I'm very happy with these and

I'm glad that I actually found them because I was going to pay $75-80...*RAMBLING*

Now how I would style these is I would style them with black jeans, like a biker jacket

You can even wear it dressed up because these are quite dressy

, but they lean towards more the casual side because the brouging, but I could see wearing a polo, a

Button-down maybe an Oxford like that. I wouldn't play it pair these with a suit

I mean you can and some people look really good with it, but

stick more towards the casual side.

I paired it with black socks, black jeans to create like a monochrome seamless look to actually make me look taller

Or the attempt to. I actually put a brown turtleneck on because the brown and black CAN go together

And they look pretty good as long as the brown is a darker shade if you have more of like

An amber or the the brighter shades they don't look so good together, but darker Browns and blacks look really good together.

I topped that with a leather jacket as you can see in this picture here

Wore that to a little festival we had in town and I was

Looked at a lot...

I'm not sure if it was good or bad, but I thought it looked good. My sister thought

I looked good. My cousin thought I looked good. So that's all it really matters if I feel good with what I'm wearing

Yeah. The next thing I want to talk about is a couple of shows that I've been watching lately. One of them is called Critical

Role, it is a D&D podcast you may have heard of it

It's got the talented voices of Matt Mercer and Travis Willingham and Laura bailey and what is his name Liam

I think his first names...his first name is Liam

I can't remember his last name and then I can't remember the other ones names. I'm so sorry, but I

Really, love the show. It's-It's like an extra an

extra...(Think boy!)

Cherry on top

Whenever you have voice actors playing something like that because the way they voiced their characters

They get so into it and Matt Mercer as the dungeon master is just-it's beautiful

The way he voices, the way he story tells it just it gets you invested into it

And you really want to watch more even though the episodes are three to four sometimes five hours long

but that's what I've been watching there and

Yeah. Another show I've been watching is called The Handmaid's Tale

It's a Hulu original, and it comes with about eight, nine, ten episodes somewhere in there

They're around 45 to an hour mark, and they're really really really really good

I watched it with my

girlfriend and when I

Would say something that I thought was going to happen and it did happen we would be really excited because we figured it out

, but when she said something that we thought would happen and it happened we get excited because we figured it out. It was fun to

the fact that

You could figure out what was going on if you paid close attention. If you didn't like... you would be surprised

but it's not only we were surprised to begin with. It's just that if

You like-if you absorb every single little detail of it you can figure things out before they show it to you

But some parts we were just utterly surprised

And it was amazing. I-we really enjoyed the show and we'd suggest you watch it supposedly

They're supposed to be season two we're looking forward to that so yeah. I actually watched a movie, and it is called

Let me look at my notes

Kimi no Na wa? I think that's how you pronounce it. It's a it's an anime movie and in english it's called Your Name

I watched it subbed-I actually whenever I watch anime or anime movies

I always read forums without spoilers or something that says

Whether do people prefer it dubbed or subbed and then whichever the consensus thinks is best

I'll then watch that version. For example: Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

I watched that in dubbed because everyone praised the dub and a lot of people prefer the dub over the sub just the way that

The voice actors portrayed the characters, so I watched the dub, but-and with Your Name

I watched the sub so that's what I did, and it was really really good. As some people in forums were saying, the sub version

Actually like it has more...It's not really...oh, I'm getting off-topic. Oh whoa

The sub isn't really like

People providing a voice to a show it's like they're actually actors

Who are like playing an actual person. You know what I mean? Like it's not like a voice actors just giving a voice to the character

On the screen it's like the Japanese voice actors are actually becoming that person and trying to prot- portray

Portray? Yeah! The feelings that the characters feels not just kind of like reading off a script now

That's one problem that people had with the dub is that it seems that they were just trying to I don't know make it more

Animate- I don't know if you know, but some dubs trying like

over exaggerate some things I

Don't know why, but apparently that's what happened in the dub so I watched the sub because I-I was I was in the mood

For some sadness, okay, and it definitely hit home at some parts. It was sad

*voice crack*

I Really enjoyed it. Yeah when I finished it

I was in my feels so I rated it a 10 out of 10 but looking back having some feedback from my friend who?

Talked about it to me um

It's more of an 8 or 9...like it isn't the best thing out of there

It's not a wonderful masterpiece. (Have mercy, comments) There are some flaws that don't make sense

some

But...the overall show is really, really nice. The film is just wonderful!

It's so beautiful in the art direction and

Everything the voice actors are perfect. The story is interesting and compelling and it grips you and it makes you want to watch more

So yeah I'd suggest going and watching it. So that's all my favorites

I hope you enjoyed it. If you did leave a like, comment, and spu-ooh

subscribe...there we go.

I'll link everything I talked about down below. Again, If you enjoyed it tell me about it. I'll see you in the next one!

Lonzo Ball Becomes Youngest NBA Player to Notch a Triple-Double - Duration: 1:24.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Lakers guard Lonzo Ball made history on Saturday night, surpassing LeBron James as the youngest

NBA player to record a triple double, the statistical achievement of reaching double

figures in three statistical categories.

At 20 years old, Lonzo grabbed his tenth rebound to go along with his 13 points and 11 assists.

Former Lakers great and current Lakers President of Basketball Operations Magic Johnson tweeted

at Lonzo saying,

"Congratulations to Lonzo @ZO2_ for becoming the youngest player in NBA history to record

a triple double."

The lakers ultimately lost 98-90 to the Milwaukee Bucks dropping the teams overall record 5-8.

When interviewed after the game it seems the loss got in the way of Ball's achievement.

"I really don't care, We took a loss.

It don't really mean nothing."

Earlier this summer, Ball became the first NBA rookie to get a triple-double during the

Las Vegas Summer League.

リカちゃん 病院 The doctor Licca hospital - Duration: 6:58.

Pit-a-pat stethoscope! Dr. Licca's hospital!

Ah, what is my proper occupation in the future?

A picture book writer is good,

and a comic artist is of some good, too.

A journalist...may not be suitable.

Hum, is there anything else?

A childcare worker or a pet trimmer?

Hmm.

Oh, a doctor!

I'll help people with illness or injury.

"This is Licca-chan's hospital."

"How may I help you?"

Please help me, Dr. Licca.

Hello, Miki. What's wrong? Let me consult.

"I'll begin examining."

Well, Miki. Lie down on the bed, please.

OK.

Please start.

Then, let me see your stomach.

"The result of examination…"

"You suffer from constipation."

"Take care!"

Oh, I've been constipated hahaha!

You don't have fever, so I'll prescribe a medicine for stomach.

Here you are. Take care!

Thank you.

Dr. Licca, please help me.

The next is Maki, right? What's wrong?

"I'll check your heartbeat."

"I'll begin examining."

"The result of examination…"

"You catch the flu."

"Take care!"

Oh my god! I'll prescribe medicine, Maki.

And let's treat with an inhaler as you have a runny nose.

So, just be patient. It'll finish soon.

This medicine will be effective well, so don't worry.

Thank you.

I've caught the flu.

I have to wear a mask.

Help me please, Dr. Licca.

Oh, Riku. What's wrong?

"I'll begin examining."

"The result of examination…"

"You has a sty."

Eh! I've had a sty.

That may because my long bang...

Then, let me put eye lotion on your eyes. Good.

OK, I'll prescribe eye lotion. Please apply it three times a day. Here you are!

Thank you so much.

Hello, Dr. Licca. Please consult.

Wow, what a handsome man!

"I'll check your heartbeat."

So, please lie down on this bed.

OK.

Let me put a stethoscope.

"The result of examination…"

"You have broken your leg!"

I've got a bone broken!

Then, I give you medical care.

Let me put from your leg.

Completed.

OK, I've done.

Oh, I've also broken my arm...

I'll prescribe pain-killers and wet pads.

Pain-killers and wet pads.

OK.

Thank you so much.

Hi, Dr. Licca. Please consult.

"The result of examination…"

"You need reexamination! Please come three days later again."

Did I have too much sweet things?

Well, let's measure your blood pressure just in case.

"Pipipipi"

Oh, you also have high blood pressure a little.

May I give you an IV drip?

That contains medicine to make your skin smooth.

Wow, that's my pleasure!

So, please rest up for a while.

Who's next?

Here.

Please examine, Dr. Licca.

OK! Let me see.

"The result of examination…"

"You have athlete's foot."

"Take care!"

Athlete's foot, huhhh?

Even though my clean foot?

I'll prescribe an ointment. Don't forget applying everyday.

OK, I will.

Here you are.

Thank you.

Phew! That's all for today's consulting.

Doctor is busy.

・・・Oh, that's dream!

I dreamt about being a doctor.

Doctor seems to be busy.

Well, I'll study well!
