CROCHET'S CHEEKS

They're very cool for those who don't like using ink or for very small kids' amigurumis,

because they're very safe.

We'll start our cheek by making a magic ring.

Then, we made the ring.

We fasten it with a stitch and, inside this ring, I'll make six single crochets.

After this, I close the ring.

Now, I'll make one more row only of increases.

I've six single crochets here, I'll make an increase on each stitch and,

at the end, I'll have 12 stitches.

So, I've made the first increase.

I put the marker.

And I'll keep making this

until the end of the row.

I've reached the end of the row, I'll tie it up,

but I won't make that slip stitch that we normally do at the end of the row.

I'll simply pull the line, I already cut it.

And the stitch will look like this.

Now, I'll get this thread tip, that I've cut with leftovers because I'll use it later to sew

the cheek over the cheekbone, and I'll pass it

through a darning needle. I've passed the thread.

I'll get my circle here and I'll count a stitch,

this one here, I've finished it here, I'll count this and I'll skip this stitch

and I'll insert my needle on the next stitch.

Like this.

I pull it carefully

and insert my needle again here, from where the line got out.

This way, the finish will get perfect and my cheek will get pretty round.

Now, we'll sew this cheek over the cheekbone.

Before doing it, I'll pass the line forward, here,

to be able to sew.

Now, I'll put the cheek over the cheekbone here, I'll position it correctly.

And I'll fasten it with a needle.

Notice that I've to keep the proportions and follow this line here, look,

which is the line where the other cheek is. This distance here has to be the same

and here the same thing. Now, we'll start to sew this cheek here.

We'll sew it by making stitches over these stitches here, from the inside.

So, I insert the needle here.

And I'll get out up front.

And I'll go back at the same stitch from where the thread came out.

I insert the needle there again and I get out up front at the next stitch.

Pull it.

I come back here again.

And get out up front.

And I'll do this all around. I've reached the end.

Notice that is important to make the stitches with all the crochet's stitches,

you can't skip any of them. Now, we'll tie up this thread. I'll pick up an embroidered handle,

pass the thread

and pass it through the inside.

Now, you just need to insert the needle here and get out with it ay any point.

Now, we cut the thread.

The cheeks are done.

FELT'S CHEEKS

I'll show you two different ways to secure the cheek's felt.

So, here I've cut felt's disk, a circle,

and I'll secure it on the place I've defined with the needle.

In this first way, I'll use the thread of the embroidery ball,

simple thread, make a know down here,

I'll lift my felt a little bit

and secure the thread down here.

And, now, I'll simply make stitches around this circle.

Like this.

Then, it's just make stitches around the whole circle.

Until the end.

The tip to leave this cheek very pretty, regular,

it's to make the stitches in a straight way, without skewing.

So, I won't make this, inserting my needle here, I'll insert my needle

in a way that the stitch gets straight. Here.

And I try to give a regular space between the stitches.

Look out how it gets straight.

Here.

And I go out there.

And I'll keep on going like this until the end.

When reaching the end, just tie it up.

I like coming here at the start of the first stitch.

Get out with my needle here.

I pass the needle only through the stitch, here, without hitting

the head, without hitting the amigurumi.

And I carefully make a finish. And you just need to hide the line.

Check out how cute this cheek looks.

I'll show now another way of fastening this cheek. Remember that at the time

of positioning your cheeks, you must follow a line.

Look here.

So, you won't get one above the other.

So, now, I've picked up a thread of an embroidery skein as well, that one of six threads.

I've got a single thread, I've made a knot at the tip, I'll come here,

I lift the felt a little bit up and I fast my knot down here.

And I'll start a buttonhole stitch, of embroidery. How is that stitch? The thread is here,

I hold it with my finger,

I insert the needle here

and I get out with it there. Notice that this thread that stayed here

also has to wrap my needle, the needle goes through it.

Then, just pull.

Again, and always keeping the stitches straight as well as the other ones.

I insert the needle,

it goes out with it up front, this thread wraps the needle, it goes below it.

And I pull it. So, the thread is here.

I insert, pull,

pass the thread below it

and pull.

You can use a thicker line, if you want. I like this thinner one because I think it gets

more delicate. So, I'll make this stitch until the end. I've reached the end,

I measure this distance here to insert my needle right in the middle,

so that the stitches get pretty regular. So, I make a last stitch,

I come with my needle at the start here of the first stitch,

I pull and I tie up here the thread.

A simple tie up as well, I've just passed through the ring and I pull.

And I hide my thread.

The cheek will look like this.

The other looks like this.

In this rat, for example, I've made the cheeks with felt.

PAINTED CHEEKS

You'll need a fabric paint, of your preferred brand and color,

this one

is pink tea.

You'll need a brush like this one here.

And a fabric flap. Firstly, you need to wet the brush's tip, just moisten it,

put it under the tap and, then, dry it with a cloth.

Then,

put the ink at the tip of the brush, just at the tip.

Pick your fabric flap up

and, then, start to use the brush's straight.

Without rubbing, just like this

to remove the ink's excess. You'll make this movement here up to the point

that it stops to appear these scratches on the fabric and it just get stain of the ink.

After the brush is ready, you get the head, you'll decide where do you want the painting,

you'll put the brush straight over the surface

and will start to make circular movements always in the same direction and very lightly.

Until the ink gets at the shade that you want, or stronger or weaker.

Always in a circular way and very lightly.

The painting will look like this.

You'll make this movement until the color pleases you,

then, just make it on the other side.

Here I've an example of how a doll's face looks like after the painting.

These cheeks won't get out if you wash the amigurumi because is a fabric paint.

They won't fade as well.

BAYEUX - FIRST CITY LIBERATED (Normandy) - Duration: 5:53.

Hi "guripas"!

We're at Bayeux, Normandy's first liberated city.

Let's walk around it's charming old quarter

to discover it's street secrets.

Located at the center of the Allied apparatus,

Bayeux was key to take control over N13 highway

that connects Caen to Cherbourg.

The Gold Beach sector was responsible for taking the city,

and the mission was assigned to the British 56th Independent Brigade

part of the 50th Infantry Division, the Northumbrian.

These soldiers spent D-Day's night at the doors of Bayeux

and took over the city the next morning

with hardly any resistance,

confirming that the Germans had withdrawn further south.

While many towns fight over the title

of being the first liberated Norman town,

Bayeux, with a much larger population,

can boast of being the first liberated city of mainland France.

But what's more important

is that it's one of the few Norman cities

that weren't damaged during the war.

Without a doubt, Bayeux's streets are charming.

But in 1944, they were too narrow

to withstand the passage of thousands of Allied vehicles.

That's why, in mid-June, British engineers began to build a bypass:

the first one in all France.

The importance of this bypass can be better understood

if we remember that in Arromanches Beach,

north of the city,

one of the two prefabricated harbors would be built,

the Mulberry.

And on their way to the different battle fronts,

Bayeux became a mandatory route for soldiers and equipment.

Supplies weren't the only things landing at the Norman beaches.

On June 14th, French General De Gaulle landed.

The leader of the Free France chose Bayeux for an intervention

that would mark the future of France.

After being received by crowds on the streets of Bayeux,

the leader of the Free France arrived at Place Du Château,

now known as Place de Gaulle,

where he gave a historical speech.

General De Gaulle had just announced

the creation of a provisional government

for the French Republic.

Establishing the capital in Bayeux,

until the awaited liberation of Paris.

This column commemorates the exact spot

where he gave his historical speech.

Let's keep in mind

that the American President, Roosevelt, was in favor

of creating an occupation force in France,

like that of the Axis countries.

Since France, with Vichy's pro-German government,

was still an enemy nation.

Since De Gaulle's intervention was well received locally,

both, the President of the United States

and British Prime Minister Churchill

had no option but to recognize the French General's authority,

with whom they'll maintain a tense relationship until the end of the war.

Although the city is closely associated with De Gaulle,

it's mainly known worldwide

for the famous Bayeux Tapestry,

a 230 ft. long embroidered canvas

To get an idea,

it's as large as 11 Sherman tanks

or about eight Tiguer I.

It's a piece form the 11th century

that depicts the invasion of England

by the Norman troops of William,

Duke of Normandy.

This victory would crown him King of England

and he would go down in history as William the Conqueror.

Taking into account this bitter episode of English history,

the British erected, on the city's south side,

this memorial with a curious inscription in Latin:

"We, once conquered by William,

have now set free the Conqueror's native land."

The monument honors about 2 000 British soldiers,

including Canadian and a South African,

missing in combat

that couldn't be buried.

In fact, the largest British cemetery on French soil,

is located just across of it.

On this land, donated to Great Britain on perpetuity,

there's over 4 600 graves

almost all British,

but also from 10 other nationalities

including about 500 Germans,

that despite being enemies in the past,

now share the same resting place.

As we have seen today,

Bayeux is a city full of history,

that shouldn't be left out of your tour of Normandy.

Until next episode, "guripas"!

DIY How to make bouquet out of Kinder Surprise eggs (ENG Subtitles) - Speed up #483 - Duration: 4:23.

Hi. Today I will show you how to make bouquet out of Kinder Surprise eggs.

Detailed list of all needed items is in the description of this video.

Cut a hole (9cm in diameter) in cardboard circle.

Next, wrap the entire circle by using ribbon (25mm in width).

Cut off an excess of empty plastic-wrap roll.

Wrap the roll by using ribbon.

Add a strip of narrow ribbon.

Cut a styrofoam ball into 2 pieces about 1cm from the center (we need the bigger piece).

Make a hole in styrofoam.

Glue it to the cardboard circle.

Cover the styrofoam by using sisal.

Cut the strips out of ribbon. 3.8cm x 10cm.

Fold a side of a strip.

Apply glue on the opposite side and fold it.

We need 4 petals for each egg.

Glue the petals to an egg.

Glue the sisal to a bottom part of the egg.

Do the same with all the eggs.

Now, glue the eggs to the styrofoam.

Between them attach the artificial flowers...

...and the pearl stamens.

Add a decorative communion host.

Glue a pearl garland.

Pour the glue to the hole...

...and attach the handle.

Cut the strips out of ribbon. 2.5cm x 16cm.

Fold a strip in a half and glue its ends together.

Glue the strips under the bouquet to hide the styrofoam.

And it's done.

This bouquet will be a great gift for First Holy Communion, birthday or Children's Day.

Of course you can use other colors of ribbons and different additions.

Please give a like to this video and subscribe to my channel.

Thanks for watching. Bye bye.

5 PRODUCT PLACEMENTS IN SPLATOON 2 - Duration: 7:03.

When we launch Splatoon 2 for the first time, we can see a message telling us that

this software may include product placement and advertising, and indeed,

since the release, several product placements and several advertisements have been

put into Splatoon 2.

In a more or less subtle way, and more or less interesting.

In this video, we'll see exactly what they did til now.

On all product placements added in the game,

the most discreet is the one here since the beginning: it's a partnership with Tower

Records, a store specializing in music, but selling other stuff too.

with which Nintendo has made an agreement.

They can sell Splatoon goodies, in particular

the game's music (Splatoon 1) but not only.

They also sell many other things, and by the way, they introduced in Splatoon 2

ads for Tower Records.

So that's the kind of advertising that's pretty much hidden.

It is not expressly written Tower Records on it, but we can see a poster

in Starfish Mainstage

A poster with Tower Records colors, but not written with a language we know

but with the language used in Splatoon's world.

Indeed, it's quite discreet and if you don't know the brand, there's probably no chance

you understand the reference.

And since it's a brand that's not so developed in France, but much more

in Japan.

Well, that makes sense.

And you will see after, for other product placements

most of them are made for Japanese players.

There are more Japanese players than Western players.

most of the other partnerships made with the game have been done

through Splatfest.

For example, a partnership with Mcdonalds for a Japanese Splatfest

where you could choose between nuggets and fries.

I made a video to let you know what i thought about it.

Afterwards, they made a partnership quite similar with UNIQLO, still with Japanese Splatfest.

You could choose between warm clothes like jacket, or warm clothes

like tight t-shirt.

And again, the brand was present and displayed on the Splatfest screen.

A third partnership like that has been done with Nike brand,

and it was not so long ago, again for a Japanese Splatfest.

You could choose between a new pair of shoes against a pair of popular shoes.

And with this partnership, developers

offer us two new pairs of shoes in the game.

Two pairs of shoes with a splatoon vibe kind of looking like an

actual Nike shoes. It was possible to get them

even without being Japanese.

You can still find them in stores.

Today, the last partnership with Splatfest was done with the JAMSTEC institute.

It's a Japanese institute for marine and terrestrial science technologies.

A partnership that has more meaning than brands completely

random as they could have done until there.

This institute is specialized in marine world.

They added a Splatfest linked to this institute and there was

a lot of communication on Twitter in particular.

Between the Splatoon Japan official account and the institute JAMSTEC twitter account.

they've explained a little bit more about different

species that live in the abyss.

The same species we can find in the DLC Splatoon OCTO expansion, coming this summer.

And for once, it's pretty interesting to see that Nintendo is

looking in real facts, and in marine animals that really exist,

well this partnership with this agency research is rather interesting because

we can learn about a lot of stuff.

It shows some credit to Nintendo, because the stories they are telling us

are based on real facts.

Real facts that are explained by a recognized scientific institute.

And it's rather interesting.

Moreover, for this partnership, they even made a modification on the Manta Maria map,

they added a new boat that wasn't there before.

A boat that looks like those used by this institute to explore oceans

And in April, they even introduced a helmet unlockable with Salmon Run.

People working in JAMSTEC use this kind of helmet.

During April 2018, the game got this institute colors.

Especially in Japan with the Japanese Splatfest, who concluded the month.

And personally, that's the kind of partnership I prefer the most in Splatoon 2.

it's a partnership with a meaning to the game. It brings content and

interesting explanations at the same time.

And I prefer this to a Splatfest sponsored by any brand.

The 5th partnership I will speak about

Is the partnership with KOROKORO magazine, who added three new equipments

in the game and only available with the Japanese version.

I already talked about it in a previous video. This Emperor set is coming

from the Splatoon manga.

And to get these equipments you have to buy this magazine.

you will have a code to unlock those equipements in game.

Again, it's a shame that it's only available in Japan.

Guess Japanese players won't complain about it.

And it's a nice partnership that ended again with a Splatfest.

A Splatfest sponsored by KOROKORO magazine. You could choose between

two characters from the Splatoon manga.

Between the main and the Emperor character.

Finally, as we can see, partnerships and product placements,

it's not something scary for Nintendo

Until then, it was mainly on the Japanese servers they were made.

But just when I was recording this video, a new partnership has been announced.

A partnership in Europe and the United States.

With Nickelodeon TV channel.

To set up three European and Americans Splatfest with Ninja Turtles as theme.

And to be very precise, it's about the last Ninja Turtles show

called "Rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles".

We'll have three splatfests. The first one will oppose Raph vs Leo

The second will oppose Mikey vs Denis, and the last one

will oppose the two winners from the previous Splatfests.

For now, nothing else has been announced with this partnership.

But it's the first time Nindento makes a partnership with more than one Splatfest in a row

and with more than one event, during 3 weeks.

It's actually quite new.

At least, it's bringing some events in Splatoon 2.

Too bad that it's not followed by new equipements.

And by new content.

because it's the kind of Splatfest i like the most.

Anyway, that's my opinion.

Feel free to leave your comment, to like and share this video

if you enjoyed it

It was Evilsquid, I'll see you soon in a next one.

Cya!

Most Overpowered and Underpowered Operators - Rainbow Six Siege - Duration: 16:53.

What's up guys, Rogue-9 here!

As part of their mid-season balancing notes for Rainbow Six Siege Operation Chimera, Ubisoft

have given us an insight into the statistical performance and pick rate of each operator in the game.

This information includes some really valuable insights because the top performers, in terms

of winning games for their teams, are not the operators who many people might have guessed

(me included).

So, which operators are objectively over or underpowered according to the data?

Let's go take a look!

But before we begin, let me just take a quick moment to thank the mobile game SWAT and Zombies

Season 2 for sponsoring this video!

SWAT and Zombies Season 2 is a combination of action defence and strategy games where

you must carefully pick you SWAT team from an extensive roster, then equip them from

a selection of around 50 different upgradeable types of weapons plus gear and then send them

out onto the mean streets of Perfectville to face the Zombie horde.

As you progress through the single player campaign, you will face increasingly fearsome

zombie types but you can also unlock new units and upgrade existing ones to enable you to

overcome the additional challenges.

Additional hard-core game modes, such as Infinite mode and Hell mode will keep even the most

advanced players on their toes.

And if you're up for a real challenge, then why not try out the competitive PVP options

of Real-Time Battle mode and Arena Mode.

SWAT and Zombie is a great little mobile game to keep you entertained on the go, so if this

looks interesting to you, then click on the links in the comments section below to download

the game for free on your iOS or android device!

And now, let's sink our teeth into this data to see which operators are apparently

the best and worst at winning matches.

The data used for this analysis is from ranked PC games, at the Diamond and Plat level, during Operation Chimera.

Ubisoft have provided us with two charts, one for attackers and one for defenders and

each one shows us the operators' pick rate compared with their Win Delta.

Pick rate is simple enough; it's a straightforward measure of the percentage of rounds that an

operator gets to participate in.

So if you play a five round match and an operator is played during four rounds, that's a pick rate of 80%.

The Win Delta is a little less obvious but still pretty simple.

It is the average win ratio when a certain operator is picked minus the average win ratio

when the operator is not picked.

So if 54% of attacking rounds with a certain operator result in a win but only 52% of attacking

rounds are wins without that op, then you end up with a positive Win Delta of 2%.

This makes Win Delta a great measure for highlighting operators that are potentially over- or underpowered.

With that understanding let's now look at the data that Ubisoft has shared to see what

we can learn from it.

On this graph, the further right an operator is listed, the more he/she is picked.

Looking at the vertical distribution, anyone listed above the central line is likely to

be overpowered and the higher they are, the more powerful they appear to be.

Conversely, the lower an operator is the more underpowered they are likely to be.

So of course we all know at this stage that Lion and Finka are the most OP operators on the attacking team, right?

No, wrong!

According to the Win Delta, Finka is the most overpowered operator in the game but ironically

her pick rate in Ranked is pretty low.

This suggests that she is by far the most underestimated and undervalued operator choice.

I guess it makes sense in a way that the conversations in the Siege community over the last couple

of month have focused on Lion and Blitz, since both of them are right in the defenders' faces.

If you get taken out because of a Lion scan and rush or if you get chased down flashed,

then meleed and then t-bagged by Blitz you will know that it was those operators that just cost you the round.

But think about Finka.

When she uses her ability, as a defender, you will almost never know about it.

You could lose out against any attacker and not realise that the reason you lost was because

the opponent was boosted and had a faster ADS time and soaked more of your damage.

Finka's boost is not as "in your face" as many other operator abilities but the stats don't lie.

With her on the team, the attackers are far more likely to win any given round, compared to playing without her.

Another massive surprise to me is that the second most OP character on the attacker team

is still not Lion or Blitz but instead, it's Dokkeabi…

Ok her call is annoying and the camera hack can be kind of useful to the attackers but

her primary weapons take a lot of skill to get along with and I am truly surprised to

see that she has such a strong effect on the attackers' chance of winning a round.

And just like Finka, her pick rate is way below average making her highly undervalued.

But after that, we finally come to the two attackers we all expected to see at the top of the graph.

Both Lion and Blitz have a positive Win Delta of 1.5% and it clearly shows that our suspicions were correct.

They are OP in their current forms.

Interestingly though, while Lion is also one of the most over picked characters, Blitz'

pick rate is still lower than expected, especially considering with how powerful he is right now.

The Win Delta for all of these operators suggests that they are significantly too strong and

probably deserve a nerf and as of now, Dokkaebi is the only one that has not been named in

the list of planned nerfs by Ubisoft.

After these operators, it can be argued that Glaz, Ash and maybe Blackbeard are also still

slightly more powerful than they should be but out of these three only Ash is significantly over picked.

In fact, she is still the most picked attacking operator despite her nerf during the mid-season

patch in Operation White Noise.

Does this justify her getting nerfed even more?

Well, I think we could all settle for her having a bit more of a hitbox.

That alone could make all the difference.

I'm not going to spend too much time talking about the operators that seem balanced at

this stage although it might be worth mentioning that despite being pretty well balanced, Twitch

has a pick rate that is far too high.

That doesn't mean that I would advocate for her to be nerfed again, in fact I would

say the opposite.

As long as her Win Delta is balanced, then being picked more often is not a bad thing.

The crown for the most balanced attacking operator in the game goes to Sledge.

Both his Win Delta and pick rate are slightly lower than would be ideal but getting an operator

absolutely perfect is essentially impossible.

In terms of the underperforming operators, one of the standouts is (again surprisingly) Hibana.

She has a pick rate that is far above average but apparently she doesn't bring quite enough

to the table since teams with her will lose more often on average than teams without her.

And picking Thermite is even worse in terms of the win chances of a team although, in

fairness, he is also picked an awful lot less than Hibana.

Not great for your win chances but also not picked all that often Montagne, Buck and Thatcher

although it should be noted that their negative Win Delta is only between -1 and -1.5% and

I would not call this enough to label these guys as significantly underpowered.

With a negative Win Delta of well over -1.5% Capitao definitely still seems underpowered,

even after his buff mid Operation White Noise.

The thing with Capitao is that in the right situations, his crossbow can provide amazing utility.

Blocking off defenders from pushing into a contested area or rotating back to destroy

a diffuser can be extremely useful but how many times is he really going to find himself

in those situations.

What you are left with most of the time beyond that is an operator with either an LMG (which

up until now was a laughable primary class) or a slow firing assault rifle.

I can fully understand how this not only makes him one of the most underpowered but also

under picked operators on the attacking side.

But he is not the worst.

According to the data, the number one operator you can chose if you want to help your team lose it Jackal.

With a Win Delta of around -2.2% he seems to be more of a liability than an asset to

his team and his low pick rate confirms that most players are aware of this.

I always liked Jackal for his great guns although controlling the C7E is not the easiest thing in the world.

But I do have to admit that his gadget is not that useful anymore, especially this season

with Lion providing a very similar but more powerful and easier to use ability.

Plus of course, Jackal's ability is pretty risky to use.

You have to be inside the target building and then you have to look down and scan footprints,

during which time you leave yourself pretty vulnerable.

And the only footprints you'll realistically stand a chance of finding are those of roamers

and at the end of the day, those could also be droned out instead.

The bottom line is that Jackal's lacklustre gadget just doesn't bring enough to the

table and, as the stats confirm, on average this has a negative effect on his team's chance of winning.

One last general comment I would like to make on the attacker chart is that I would expect

to see evidence of a positive correlation between operator effectiveness and pick rate.

On average, over hundreds of thousands of games played at a high competitive level,

I would expect players to choose the operators that give them the greatest chances of winning

and if that was the case, we should see the operators roughly aligned diagonally across the chart.

I find it interesting to see that for the attacker chart, this does not really seem

to be the case and that suggests that players are either not aware of the true usefulness

or uselessness of some of the operators or they are just not willing to play them despite

knowing which ones are strong or which ones are weak.

Now over to the defender chart and the first thing to notice here, is that the players'

pick rates are far more closely aligned to the win rates of the different operators.

The better the average performance of an operator is, the more likely they are to be picked;

as can be seen by the general alignment of most of the operators along this diagonal line.

There are a few outliers though and interestingly, it is once again the operators with the best

Win Deltas that are actually under picked.

According to the data, Rook is the greatest asset to any defender team but his pick rate

is only just over 20% while Caveira is the second most winning operator but her pick

rate is actually one of the lowest at less than 10%.

This indicates again that both of these operators are undervalued and certainly for Rook, I

can see why this would be the case.

Similar to Finka's gadget being really useful but not that obvious, Rook's armour upgrade

significantly ups his team's ability to soak damage (as I confirmed in a detailed

test video a while ago) but neither the attackers nor defenders really get to see the effect.

Think about it.

Two operators go up against each other and let's say the defender wins because of the

extra health pool of the plates.

How many people are going to go away from that contest consciously thinking to themselves:

"Wow, thank goodness I had that Rook plate on, it saved me there!" or thinking "I

just lost that because of Rook!"… nobody really has that realisation, right?

And to me that explains why Rook is undervalued.

Even though his support affects the entire team, for the entire round and (as the stats

tell us) significantly increase their chance of winning neither the attackers nor defenders

will really become conscious of this fact.

With Caveira on the other hand, I believe that it's the difficulty of using her ability

that lowers her pick rate.

If Cav can pull off an interrogation, it quite often gives the defenders a chance to insta-win

the round but pulling off that ability is incredibly difficult, which may explain the

depressed pick rate.

The next op in terms of the Win Delta is Vigil, who this time also has a great pick rate.

As mentioned in my last video, discussing the Operation Chimera designer's notes,

Vigil has now become the de facto roamer and his ability to stay hidden from cameras, combined

with his very capable weapon and secondary gadget loadout make him the most effective

roamer right now.

And even though the last round of nerfing has brought down Ela's pick rate, her Win

Delta suggests that she is still a very effective defender nonetheless.

Losing her impact grenades was a definite blow but as I demonstrated in a separate video,

her gun is actually still very capable as long as it is fired in controlled bursts.

Lesion is the last defensive operator that is somewhat overpowered and he also has the

pick rate to prove it.

Lesion is definitely an important operator in the currently attack heavy meta but I think

that neither his Win Delta nor his pick rate are so high that he needs to be re-evaluated.

Next up we have a band of 7 operators that are pretty well balanced in terms of their

effectiveness with 6 of them being near perfect.

It's especially great to see Pulse, Caveira and Doc clustered so closely around the intersection

of the ideal pick rate and neutral Win Delta.

Kapkan, Frost and Echo are all slightly weak in terms of their Win Delta and pick rates

and while Frost and Kapkan aren't maybe all that surprising, since their traps are

easily detected and taken care of by higher level players, Echo's ability to attach

an ACOG to his MP5SD and the way in which his Yokai drone can block a last minute plant

make him an ideal anchor and I am truly surprised to see him at the bottom end of this scale.

Interestingly, Mira is also quite low in terms of her Win Delta even though her pick rate

is decently high.

Mira is a character that is often named as the top defender in the game because of the

value she can add to the team in terms of the anchoring setup.

She is also the top picked defender in the pro-league this season, so it's really hard

to say why her win rate would indicate that she is underpowered in Plat and Diamond ranked play.

Yes, her primary has a very limited ammo capacity and is better suited to close and medium ranges

rather than long but that doesn't explain why teams with Mira tend to win less often

than teams without….

If you have any idea why she ends up all theway down here on the chart, let me know in the comments section!

And finally, last and also least, we have the worst two operators in the entire game.

Tachanka has been described by the devs as so broken that they are currently not even

looking into fixing him but Castle is an interesting case here.

For the longest time now, the community has been calling for Castle to be buffed in some

way and the argument against that was always: "Castle is fine where he is, he works really

well in high ranked, coordinated teams and he doesn't need to be viable at lower skill levels."

Well, the data here is exclusively for Plat and Diamond ranks and it clearly disagrees

with the notion that Castle works at this level.

Castle not only requires a coordinated effort in order to provide any value to the team

but if the setup is not perfectly clear to every member of the team, then a barricade

in the wrong place can even block a defender rotation at a crucial moment and can even

cause the team to lose.

Add to that the fact that over the lifetime of Rainbow Six Siege, we have received more

and more operators that are capable of quickly taking down Castle's barricades and the

utility he brings to any defensive team becomes questionable at best.

During the recent Rainbow Six balancing team AMA, it was mentioned that three operator

reworks would be taking place very soon and hints were dropped that Castle might be one of them.

Given his clear track record of being on the losing team more often than on the winning

team, this makes complete sense and I am eager to see what the devs will come up with.

So there we go.

A lot of the data in these operator performance and pick rate charts made perfect sense but

there were also a lot of surprises.

How did your favourite operators stack up?

Were you surprised by how well or poorly they did in terms of average performance?

Let me know in the comment section below and with that; thank you once again to SWAT and

Zombies Season 2 for sponsoring the video (links are still available down below and

still waiting for your click!) and thank you to all of you for watching.

I hope you enjoyed the video and I will see you in the next episode!
