How To Make Vegan Chocolate Chip Hemp Cookies - Duration: 3:24.

we're making vegan hemp cookies they're really quick really simple and they're

really healthy for you. The key ingredients are some dark chocolate, some

almond meal and we have some ground hemp seeds which are really high in edastine

proteins thats absorb into your body really quick but they're also got a really

lovely nutty flavor. It's super simple everything goes into a bowl, mix it up like a moshpit and bake it off

and your cookies are done !

there's only one or two steps basically mix it all together

you bake it off and you eat it so that's three steps the

Third steps are my favorite !!

so we have some almond meal as a base, this is gluten free this is

vegan we're using some maple syrup for sweetness so you can add as much or as

little as you want but you know the key ingredient is dark beautiful rich

chocolate and these beautiful hulled hemp seeds which are creamy they're

nutty they're super high in omega-3s and Edinson protein which is a real mouthful

but it's great for you but he absorbs it and they've just become legal in

Australia so I thought I'd give it a whirl and play with them so into a bowl

everything goes

you've got some oil in there to make sure when you bake it the cookies are

sort of tender and moist and then we have some sweetness from maple syrup and

then that chocolate is going to melt and basically you know everything binds

together and bakes and it's almost gonna be like a shortbread cookie so it's

crumbly with hot chocolate that's sweet and then you get a really nice at a

creamy crunch texture from the the hemp seeds it's a really lovely recipe so the

vibes now is I've set my oven to 180 degrees and I've just mixed everything

up so this is our cookie butter just like that it's that simple I'm no eggs

no eggs no milk no mess so I'm just gonna wet my hands they're

clean it's gonna stop anything from sticking on there and now I'm just gonna

mold these guys just put them on a baking tray to make sure the cookie

dough doesn't stick to your hands just you know splashing with a bit of water

and because there's oil in there it just means it it won't stick all the cookies

should stay exactly where they need to go and that's in the

okay so in the oven we're gonna take about nine to ten minutes need to be

dark on the outside golden on top and really flaky and that chocolates gonna

melt and I'm telling you right now when I first tested this recipe I just

couldn't stop eating them it's been about ten minutes and these cookies are

ready to go the chocolate is melted oh I can't to eat theses they smells so good look at

that perfect vegan chocolate hemp cookies and there's no no better way to

eat cookies and with some homemade hemp milk.

Both these recipes are on the website www.bondiharvest.com

Cyberpunk 2077 Bring it on!! - Pijama Rant - Duration: 10:19.

Greetings, Earthlings! Welcome to the MadQueen Show

I am your host the MadQueen

On today's menu we have a new pajama rant and today I put the title of this video

Is going to be Cyberpunk 2077 Bring it on!

And why? Well, the thing is that I've been working recently

new things for the channel

I had a couple of ideas and I am working in two more characters for the channel

Both are cyberpunk related.

One of them you are going to see her soon, not sure yet

if it's going to be at the end of this week or the beginning of the next

And the other one you won't see her until the game is announced, so I don't know if

they are going to start with the marketing campaign before E3,

Which I believe that would be a good marketing move but

I don't know how the marketing people of CD Projekt thinks.

After today they are doing a great job because by not saying anything about it

They are making that even the smallest news generates conversation around the game

and that is amazing, that is something that any marketing team would love to have

About these characters well, I don't want to reveal much but

I've been working on them for long and that is one of the main reasons why I

didn't do any new commercial, any new cyberpunk commercial and for those

of you who are asking: Yes. I do the commercials. It's not that someone does

them for me. My real job is art director for advertising

It was only a matter of time that I would put my knowledge at the service of

my channel in doing this. Usually the rest of the videos don't have the high

quality that I would like them to have

because they take a lot of time

the bare minimum is six hours and obviously, my computer is shit

I still have an i5 most people can't believe that I'm using After Effects in

such an old and bad computer but yes, I'm doing so

The commercials they take a lot of time, they have a lot of animations in them

The worst part of it is rendering and fighting with my computer

to have them in a good amount

of time because, well I don't know if you remember the video I did for the Horizon Zero Dawn art

and at the beginning of each section you had a title that was

like three four seconds so the rendering time for its title was eight hours I had

to make them and go to sleep and pray that wasn't any error and I would

see the title the next day

so that's what I have to fight for to be able to

bring content to you but one day I will update my computer yeah I know I should

the thing is that I'm counting on the channel to gain more attention

when the game is released, when the game is announced so depending IF

IF we manage to grow enough and we manage to have enough people backing us

on Patreon there is another project that I wanted to do unfortunately I need

resources to do that, obviously. Because the funniest part of it is that we're

talking about the cyberpunk universe meaning that anything that I want to do

that looks slightly cyberpunk-ish I need special effects on it

I don't know how to do special effects so I need to hire people to help me but

I think it can be really really funny. So there's a lot of

things that I would like to do when the game is out

andI really hope that the channel grows enough for me to have the

opportunity to do different things and I believe that you are going to love them

if you love the game and as I said before, size matters

size matters and yeah I'm waiting for the announcement to be able

to have more things to work with, not only for the game per se, which is going

to be fantastic aswell. But I want to have more things to work with and when

I'm done creating this base characters I will start doing again more commercials

that I already have some ideas, but again, I need special effects on them because

I'm running out of footage to use I usually use footage from other

commercials, films a lot of films everywhere: Total Recall, Robocop

and it's funny because they became some sort of game by themselves by people

trying to guess what films are the ones that are in the in

the commercials and some even thought that they were real

commercials of YouTube and there was this guy I can't remember his name

he wrote me very angry because he was very annoyed that YouTube didn't

allow him to skip the commercials that I put in the middle of my video.

And I was like "ah, yes." I did a video that had the Militech commercial just after

I spoke about Militech in the video, but yeah it's a little trolling

I'm sad that at the beginning when I started putting the

commercials I didn't want to say anything because part of the fun was to

make the lore inmersive. Which means that for a moment people needed to think

that these were real commercials at the beginning of the commercial and then try

to skip it and while they were trying to skip it then realize that they were

Cyberpunk commercials. So this little moment of trolling is what makes the lore

more immersive because for a moment you are being advertised

a cyberpunk product. So, yes. Buy these new IntelPlus chips by Raven Microcybernetics

People on Patreon already saw the the first tests for the new

character that I'm going to be introducing, as I said, earlier this week

or beginning of next week because she's almost finished but

they didn't see the second yet I'm also preparing her and it's a lot of

work but it's incredibly, incredibly funny. I wanted the video game

to be announced already so I could you know start all this and turn the

people of internet crazy so... Bring it on! it's going to be so fucking amazing so

So well, that's a little update that I wanted to make.

I had another video for you today

but I believe that I'm going to upload it tomorrow obviously because

I wanted to make this one and tomorrow's video is going to be about upcoming cyberpunk films.

I believe that some of the films of the list are

already released recently, but yes recently, are coming, cyberpunk films

I suppose that at some point I will make another one of books but I don't know

if people wants to know about books because reading a book

takes a lot more time and I don't know if people just have this time

to read anyway thanks for watching

you will see soon what I have ready for you and I really hope you like it and

I'm not going to announce that the new character is going to be in the video

I mean, you probably are going to see the Thumbnail of an

average video and you're going to click like this is one of my average

videos and for the for the new character I hope to bring her to the channel when

the game is announced and if and only if the channel grows enough

and only if we have enough people backing us on patreon so I have enough

resources to do so you will also see other things

That I have in mind that I really, I really would love to have the support of

CD Projekt to do so. I know that this is going to be impossible but if I could

have their support and you know, I could have resources coming from them

I don't really know if I should send them the idea when the video game is out

and they can talk about it I don't know. Maybe I'll try because

It would be amazing if they could participate in it.

But well. Thanks for watching. I hope you found this information useful and amusing see you on next video

see you tomorrow talking about cyberpunk films

and stay being amazing.

The Age of Reptiles in Three Acts - Duration: 11:07.

A quarter of a billion years ago, an epic story was starting to unfold all over the

world.

The heroes of this saga were the survivors of a near apocalypse.

They emerged from it as humble creatures, but in time, they came to dominate the Earth.

These were the reptiles, which grew to become some of the largest forms of life ever to

stomp, swim, and soar across the planet.

There were, however, some other noteworthy players in this story -- the animals and plants

that diversified in the shadows of the reptiles, many of which would go on to play key roles

in our planet's future.

Over millions of years, this whole troupe of characters adapted to a rapidly

changing world.

But, even though they grew to immense sizes and dominated all environments, many of the

reptiles couldn't adapt to the changes that would bring their reign to an end.

This Age of Reptiles was a spectacular prehistoric epic, and it all took place in a single era:

the Mesozoic.

The Mesozoic Era began 252 million years ago in the aftermath of the most destructive mass

extinction of all time, The Great Dying.

It brought to a close the previous era, the Paleozoic, and wiped out most marine and land

species, leaving a world ripe for the taking, at least for … anything that survived.

In the Early Mesozoic, Earth's landmasses had almost finished merging into a single

supercontinent called Pangea.

And that meant life could traverse the globe, free of ocean barriers.

The stage was set for the first act of the Mesozoic, the Triassic Period.

At first, the planet was populated only by the survivors of the Paleozoic.

On land, there were the amphibian-like temnospondyls and early relatives of mammals called therapsids.

Meanwhile, the seas were home to many groups of ancient fish but also lots of reptiles

that were adapted to life in the water.

These first marine reptiles were mostly amphibious, but they quickly developed fully aquatic traits,

including the ichthyosaurs, which came to resemble fish and later marine mammals, even

though they were neither.

And in the background, a special group of reptiles was beginning to take advantage of

this newly open world.

These were the archosaurs, a clade that had its origins in the Paleozoic but truly came

into its own during the Triassic.

Archosaurs include many of the animals that you think of, when you think of ancient life

-- like dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and the croc-like phytosaurs.

And these creatures became key players in the Mesozoic, because they were very well

adapted to its environments.

The skulls of archosaurs were lighter than their reptile ancestors.

Most archosaurs also had teeth that were set in deep, protective sockets.

Plus they pioneered a unique unidirectional respiratory system which was a network of air sacs

that let them breathe more efficiently in the low-oxygen atmosphere after the Great

Dying.

With the help of adaptations like these, archosaurs spread and diversified.

And by the middle of the Triassic, around 243 million years ago, the real rising stars

of the archosaurs appeared: the first dinosaurs.

This is when the earliest known proto-dinosaur appears in the fossil record: Nyasasaurus,

in what's now Tanzania.

Soon after, we find evidence of the tiny omnivore Eoraptor and the predator Herrerrasaurus,

both in South America.

And all of the earliest known dinosaurs were members of the same group, known today as

saurischians.

They had the same basic things in common, like long necks and tails and a generally

reptilian body plan.

But the thing I wanna point out here is their … pubis.

That's one of the three bones that makes up the pelvis, including in you.

You have a pubis.

And in the case of saurischian dinosaurs, the pubis bone always pointed down, and forward.

I know it'll be hard for ya, but try to remember that word, pubis, because I'm gonna

come back to it.

Now, as dinosaurs started playing larger roles in their ecosystems, they also became larger

and more specialized.

And around 230 million years ago, they diverged into two of their most iconic groups: the

long-necked sauropods and the two-legged, mostly-meat-eating theropods.

But while dinosaurs were becoming more diverse and widespread, another lineage of archosaurs

was adapting to another environment: the sky.

By the Late Triassic, pterosaurs became the first vertebrates in the history of the world

to take flight, with Eudimorphodon and others like it appearing in the fossil record throughout

Europe some 210 million years ago.

Meanwhile, other, non-archosaurian reptiles were dominating the seas.

Ichthyosaurs had been swimming the world's oceans since near the start of the Triassic.

And by 200 million years ago, another group of semi-aquatic reptiles had given rise to

plesiosaurs, which adopted a totally different body plan for life in the water.

This three-pronged takeover of the land, sea, and sky allowed the reptiles to rule Pangea.

But it was not until the very end of this period that the last remnants of Paleozoic

life would truly be swept away.

201 million years ago, Pangea began to break apart, as North America drifted away from

the rest of the continent.

This caused a spike in volcanic activity that sent greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

The resulting rise in global temperatures triggered an event known as the End-Triassic

Mass Extinction.

The casualties included most of the therapsids and other holdovers from the Paleozoic.

And this left many niches open for the dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and other reptiles that would

come to define the Mesozoic.

Which brings us to the second act of this story: the Jurassic Period, when the Age of

Reptiles reached its peak.

Hence the name of the park

By this time, dinosaurs had already acquired a variety of body plans and adaptations.

And one of the most important was the spread of the Ornithischians

Now, remember that pelvic bone I was talking about?

The pubis?

You remembered! Very good

Well that's where a major change occurred in ornithischian dinosaurs.

Instead of pointing down and forward, in ornithischians, the pubis was reversed.

It pointed backward.

This allowed ornithischians to have a larger gut cavity that could hold expanded digestive

organs, and this helped them eat some of the toughest plants of the Mesozoic.

Because of this adaptation, and with the help of new, chisel-like teeth, ornithischians

became the eating machines of the Mesozoic!

Ornithischians probably first appeared back in the Triassic, but this was when they started

to spread and diversify.

The group became so successful that eventually it would grow to encompass many of the most

prolific kinds of dinosaurs -- all the hadrosaurs, ceratopsians, armored dinosaurs and pachycephalosaurs,

to name just a few.

So, in the Early Jurassic, reptiles took center stage, moving into most of the large animal

niches.

But one group of fuzzy therapsids managed to survive into the Jurassic, and for a long

time its members played only minor roles.

These were the very first true mammals, like Megazostrodon -- a tiny, nocturnal insectivore

that scurried around the feet of the dinosaurs.

While there's some debate over whether mammals actually appeared at the end of the Triassic,

they certainly diversified in the Jurassic.

By the middle of the period, 164 million years ago, mammals had diversified beyond little

shrew-like things to include species that could swim like beavers and glide like flying

squirrels.

And alongside these new types of mammals was a group of theropods that would also take

to the air, acquiring the first complex wing feathers.

By 150 million years ago, the first paravian dinosaurs -- or stem birds -- were taking

to the wing, although these animals, like Anchiornis, probably weren't very good fliers.

As for the non-avian dinosaurs, the Late Jurassic was when their really famous forms appeared.

Legendary characters like the spiky ornithischian Stegosaurus, and the carnivorous Allosaurus

patrolled the plains of North America.

Meanwhile, giant sauropods like Giraffatitan roamed Africa.

For these reptiles, the Late Jurassic was a golden age, where they were the most obvious

forms of life all over the planet.

But as the period came to a close, Jurassic Earth was changing.

The breakup of Pangea was still underway.

Sea levels began to rise, creating shallow seas in North America and Europe

And as these landmasses moved, more events unfolded that led to a complex series of extinctions

about 145 million years ago,

Rather than being a single clear incident, these losses were the result of a constantly cycling

climate of cooling and warming, and a jolt of volcanic activity again in the Pacific Ocean.

These events ushered in the third act of the Mesozoic: The Cretaceous Period.

I know that traditionally the third act is supposed to be the shortest

part of any drama but in this case the Cretaceous is

actually the longest period of the Mesozoic. And the Cretaceous saw some of the most extreme changes

ever recorded in both flora and fauna.

One of the first breakthroughs of the Cretaceous was the appearance of flowers, which appear

in the fossil record about 130 million years ago.

Before these early bloomers, conifers, ferns and cycads were the dominant plants.

Now they had competitors, although it would be a while before flowering plants became

major players in the landscape.

Meanwhile, dinosaurs were going through their own revolution.

Feathered theropods, called coelurosaurs, rarely got larger than dogs during the Jurassic,

but they reached new heights in the Cretaceous.

By 125 million years ago, big, predatory coleurosaurs like Utahraptor were roaming North America,

while Yutyrannus was hunting in China.

In the middle Cretaceous, a new group of sauropods, the titanosaurs, were outgrowing all of their

Jurassic relatives.

Some, like Argentinosaurus, are thought to have grown over 30 metres long and weighed

nearly 70 metric tons!

In the skies, pterosaurs also got much bigger, and by the Late Cretaceous, they became the

largest animals ever to fly.

These were the giant azhdarchids, which were as tall as giraffes, had wingspans the size

of small airplanes, and were more than capable of feeding on small dinosaurs.

Beneath the wings of these animals, the Cretaceous continents continued to drift apart, and dinosaur

groups became more and more isolated, and also more distinct.

For instance, titanosaurs became much more common on the southern landmasses, while in

the north, a group of feathered coelurosaurs was reaching the rank of apex predator.

These were the tyrannosaurids, the largest of the tyrannosaurs.

They first appear in the fossil record in the middle Jurassic, but by the late Cretaceous,

they had developed powerful crunching jaws and swift legs to deal with a whole new cast

of ornithischians on the northern continents.

Some of their prey, like the ceratopsians, grew wild head-gear, while ankylosaurids acquired

armour to attract mates and fend off predators.

But the duckbilled hadrosaurs were the most prolific herbivores in the north, thanks to

their powerful, beaky mouths and complex teeth that allowed them to eat just about any kind

of plant.

By the Late Cretaceous, many of these dinosaurs were the largest and most bizarre that these

groups had ever produced, showing just how successful the reptiles had become

Yet, they were about to see their Age come to an end.

For reasons that experts aren't quite sure about, some dinosaur groups, like hadrosaurs

and ceratopsians, were becoming less diverse toward the end of the Cretaceous.

The low species density means that some dinosaur groups were already vulnerable to extinction.

And as it happened, doom was on the horizon.

Rocks dated to 66 million years ago from a region of India called the Deccan Traps show

signs of massive volcanic eruptions.

These were among the largest eruptions in Earth's history, lasting for tens of thousands of

years, and the volcanic gases likely had powerful effects on the air and oceans.

And in the midst of these eruptions, another disaster came: A giant asteroid struck the

Gulf of Mexico, spewing ash into the atmosphere, creating an impact winter that starved plants

and phytoplankton.

These twin disasters threatened all life on Earth, but the largest animals -- the ones

that needed the most food -- were most affected.

The giant titanosaurs, and ceratopsians, and other herbivores wouldn't have been able

to find enough plants to sustain their bulk.

And their decline meant that the large carnivores, like the tyrannosaurs, were doomed as well.

The seas saw similar losses in reptile groups, including the extinction of the plesiosaurs

and mosasaurs.

Other marine reptiles, like the ichthyosaurs and pliosaurs were already long gone by this

time.

Nearly 200 million years after they pulled themselves from the ashes of the Great Dying,

all of the giant reptiles were wiped out.

It's now known as the K-Pg Extinction, after the German abbreviation for Cretaceous and

Paleogene, the two periods whose boundary is marked by this event.

And it brought about the disappearance of 75% of the world's species.

But, thanks in part to their small size and their more varied diets, many Mesozoic animals

survived into modern times.

The three modern mammal groups -- the placentals, marsupials and monotremes -- all made it.

The flowers that first bloomed in the Cretaceous are now more numerous than ever.

And even some of the mighty archosaurs have persisted into our day, as crocodilians and

.. birds, the last surviving saurischian theropod dinosaurs.

But for the giant reptiles of the Mesozoic, their dominance turned out to be their downfall.

When disaster struck, the niches that demanded large size and specialization were the first

to go.

It turned out playing smaller parts in the story of our planet was a key to survival.

And so as the next era dawned, the Cenozoic, it would be those once-minor characters that

would inherit the Earth.

Thanks for sticking around for this long story about the Mesozoic, I appreciate it

How Computers Find Naked People in Photos - Duration: 9:33.

[♪ INTRO]

If you'd taken an engineering job at Google before March 2017,

you would've had to sign an unusual waiver.

It was an agreement accepting that in the course of your work,

you might be exposed to adult content, including pornographic images.

That policy has since changed,

but the fact that it existed at all is a stark reminder that the internet doesn't censor itself.

Someone has to build the software that avoids showing naked people

to users who aren't supposed to see naked people.

Those engineers spend a lot of time designing, training, and testing algorithms,

the set of rules a computer follows to accomplish a task, for filtering adult content.

Which might mean poring over images that in any other setting would

be totally not safe for work.

And building those algorithms is no easy task.

Even we humans have a hard time defining pornography, as US Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart

famously admitted when all he could say was "I know it when I see it."

But at least we can usually agree on whether there's a naked person!

For computers though, even that is complicated.

When you look at a photo, you see people, and desks, and chairs,

but all the computer sees is this.

Little blocks of color, a million times over.

Where in this fuzzy mess of pixels do the body and chair even start and end?

And let's say you've figured out whether you're seeing distinct objects.

How can you tell what they are, and whether one of them is a nude human?

After all, even two pictures of the exact same thing can look very different.

For example, four photos of limbs might look very different,

when they're actually all from the same person.

With the differences in lighting, angles, and stuff in the way,

it's hard to tell that they're all Michelle Obama's arms.

Then sometimes you have the opposite problem,

when things that are totally different look weirdly similar.

Take dogs, for example.

You might think you know a dog when you see one,

but then along comes a viral meme and now you can't be sure whether that's a

puppy or whether it's a mop, a muffin, or a marshmallow.

Our brains have evolved to do a tremendous amount of this work subconsciously.

In fact, around 30% of your brain's cortex is dedicated just to vision!

But engineers are starting from zero.

Somehow, they have to get from a description of an image as a collection of tiny dots

of color to a higher-level description: textures, shapes, objects;

all the imprecise, big-picture stuff that tells us humans what we're looking at.

In the prehistoric era of computing, we're talking the 80s and 90s here,

the generally accepted approach was to think really hard about what

features of an image might make for decent high-level descriptions.

And then you'd design specialized algorithms to extract those features.

Some of the most popular features to look for were things like edges,

contiguous shapes, and so-called keypoints,

pixels whose neighbors stay roughly the same if the image is resized or otherwise tweaked.

These let you summarize an image in a way that didn't change too much

with small adjustments like rotation or lighting.

The hope was that if you had, say, an image of a kitten, the edge contours and keypoint

arrangements should be fairly similar to other pictures of kittens.

So you could use those features to build a specialized algorithm to decide

which images should be returned when a user searches for kittens.

In the case of finding naked people, this style of image analysis was used in a foundational

paper from 1996, a few years after porn websites started to go live on the web.

The paper was titled, appropriately enough, "Finding Naked People."

The first step the researchers took was to identify possible patches of skin.

This meant finding pixels containing yellows or browns, maybe with some reddish tones.

Skin also doesn't usually show much texture, at least in porn.

As the paper comments, "extremely hairy subjects are rare."

So any pixels showing skin shouldn't vary too much from the areas around them.

Next, if at least 30% of an image was marked as possibly skin,

the algorithm would try to piece those pixels together into body parts.

It would group straight-ish strips of skin color into longer segments.

Touching segments could be paired into limbs, and limbs and segments could

combine to form either spine-thigh groups or limb-limb groups.

Finally, the system would check which groups were geometrically possible given human physiology.

For example, it ruled out configurations that could only be formed by someone

lifting their leg up and flipping their knee backwards.

Any groups that weren't eliminated were assumed to be naked humans.

Methods like this worked OK, but they had some serious downsides.

First, those handcrafted rules were super brittle.

For example, humans don't usually position their trunk between their thighs,

but it can happen, especially in porn.

If it does, the rules might not recognize a nude person.

Similarly, there were a lot of finicky thresholds and settings to be fine-tuned.

Like, why is 30% the minimum amount of skin to accept?

Why not 15, or 35?

Also, to make improvements,

engineers would have to rethink all those custom-designed algorithms and how they interact.

And most importantly, it was entirely up to engineers' creativity to come up with high-level

descriptive features that were effective, and those features could only be as subtle

or detailed as the engineers were willing and able to code up.

So the criteria for nudity would be very rough and involve sometimes comically naive approximations.

I mean, looking for "blotches of skin color with plausible geometry" misses some of

the more, uhh, obvious features of naked bodies.

You know, like breasts and genitals.

Over the past few decades, though, a new method has started to take over the world

of image processing, including adult image detection.

It's called a convolutional neural network.

The core idea is that instead of manually defining which higher level features are important,

you can build a system to figure that out for itself.

You show it thousands of training examples:

pictures labeled safe for work and not safe for work.

Then, you let it find recurring patterns, like spots of contrast or color,

and piece together how those patterns combine into bigger patterns like lines and edges.

Then it can learn even bigger patterns like skin textures and hair against skin.

And then it can start to recognize things like nipples and belly buttons

and guess whether it's seeing a naked person.

The underlying technology here is the same thing that's driven many recent advances

in artificial intelligence: deep neural networks, or DNNs.

DNNs are loosely based on networks of brain cells,

in a "based on a true story" kind of way.

A DNN contains neurons in the same sense that a game of SimCity contains factories:

the software simulates a very crude version of the real-world thing.

The simulated neurons are arranged into virtual layers.

Each neuron gets a bunch of inputs, for example,

the colors of some pixels or the output from the previous layer.

Then, it performs a simple calculation based on some internal settings,

and passes the result on to the next layer of neurons.

The last layer's output is the network's best guess at an answer.

As the network sees each training example, it guesses what it's seeing.

If it guesses wrong, it twiddles the settings on each neuron so that

the error is less likely to happen next time.

There are a lot of kinds of DNNs, but convolutional neural networks, or convnets,

are the type most often used for image processing.

In the first layer of a convnet, each neuron examines one small tile of the input image,

and outputs how strongly that tile matches a simple image template,

maybe a blob of pink, or a spot of contrast between light and dark.

That template is what gets learned when the neuron's

parameters are updated as the network is being trained.

And actually, there's a whole grid of these neurons, one for each tile in the image.

All the neurons in this grid update their settings together,

so they all learn to match the same template.

This is where the "convolutional" part of the name comes from,

applying the same template detector to each tile.

Now, within that first layer, there might actually be dozens of grids like this,

and each of them learns to match a different template.

So overall, what that whole first layer outputs is how

strongly each template matches at each location in the image.

The second layer is similar, but instead of looking for patterns directly in pixels,

it looks for patterns in the color blobs and

contrasts and all the other output of the first layer.

Because each second-layer neuron grabs inputs from a whole bunch of tiles from the first layer,

it gets information from a bigger swath of the original image.

The same thing continues up the hierarchy: each layer looks for patterns in the patterns

detected by previous layers, until finally the highest layers

end up looking for naked torsos and groins.

Convnets have a lot of advantages over the older methods.

They can check situations where there's maybe a penis close-up without engineers having

to guess that nude images would likely contain lots of those close-ups

and then custom-build penis-detection algorithms.

Another plus of convnets is that everything is based on a sliding scale of similarity

rather than hard and fast rules: each neuron is asking itself,

"How closely does this patch of the image resemble a line or a foot or whatever?"

That means the network can be flexible about integrating multiple lines of uncertain evidence.

Convnets also change the paradigm for how to improve a system: if it's getting too

many false positives on swimsuits, just feed in loads of swimsuit photos with training

examples, and let the network figure out for itself how to distinguish them from true nudity.

In fact, you could even take a convnet designed for filtering porn

and retrain it to detect doge memes.

Now, that doesn't mean a convnet is all-powerful.

There are still lots of task-sensitive choices the engineers have to make about how exactly

to structure the network, what size tiles to use, and so on.

So you might still have to do some surgery on your network if you're trying to catch,

say, tentacle-filled adult anime, which has very different characteristics from photos.

Convnets also don't help as much when you need social context

to recognize what makes an image not safe for work.

For example, it's a lot harder to build a detector for images of human trafficking,

because you can't just look at the pixels; you need a lot of background knowledge

about what's actually happening in the photo.

But for the most part, convnets get really good results.

They've revolutionized image processing,

from image search to vision for self-driving cars.

And flagging sexually explicit content is one of the most visible applications,

or maybe the least visible.

Because if adult image detection is working, most of the time you don't notice.

So the next time you're searching for pictures of nude tights and aren't bombarded with porn,

take a moment to appreciate the algorithms, and the engineers, that make it all possible.

Emma & Mason - Duration: 13:42.

(upbeat music)

(elevator dings)

- Mondays, am I right?

- It's Wednesday.

- Sosa Catering, this is Emma.

How may I make your event more spectacular?

I'm sorry, you've got the wrong number.

(upbeat music)

(elevator dings)

Huh?

TGIF, am I right?

- It's Thursday.

- Right.

Sosa Catering, this is Emma.

How may I make your event more spectacular?

Didn't you call yesterday?

I can't fill prescriptions.

- Hey, where are you going for lunch today?

- D'Ambrogio.

- Can I come?

- Yeah, sure.

(upbeat music)

(glasses clink)

- You're the elevator guy.

- I'm sorry?

- It's just, you're usually already in the elevator.

Yeah, it's like when you're a kid and you're out

with your parents at like, the grocery store or

something, and you see your teacher, and you're like,

"Whoa! You exist in a totally different place!"

It's like...

It's like that.

- Well, I took the subway today.

- Oh, okay.

(elevator music)

- The parking garage is one floor below.

- Right.

- So when I drive, I park in the garage.

But today I didn't drive, so...

- That's why you weren't in the elevator.

- Yes.

- Okay. Yes.

We should solve mysteries together.

Is that an actual planner?

- Mm-hmm.

- It's just, I rarely see those anymore.

- Well, I remember things better if I write them down, so.

- That's why I like my phone.

They don't call 'em "smart" for nothin'!

That is not my joke.

My dad told me that joke.

It's important that you know that's not mine.

- Well, I guess we've solved the case

of the stolen joke then, huh? (laughs)

- Yeah, right.

- And that's my joke.

Can't even blame my dad for that one.

(Emma laughs) (elevator dings)

- This is me.

- Hey, you should write that down,

so that you don't forget it.

That was a good joke, right?

- Yeah, it was great.

(upbeat music)

(relaxed strumming music)

- So this isn't the elevator guy?

- Elevator guy?

No. I don't even know that guy's name.

Besides, he doesn't know that I exist.

No, this is Mason.

What do you think?

You think I look like I belong at

a wine bar art gallery thingy?

- With a necklace, yes.

- Right.

- So what time is he picking you up?

- We're meeting there.

- Ugh. (laughs)

- Stop it. Not every girl needs to be picked up for a date.

He likes art. He sounds smart.

I really need this one to be good, okay?

So could just have a little faith?

- Fine!

You look great.

I'm sure he'll be charming.

Nothing like the last five I warned you about.

- Five?

- I'm counting the water polo player from psych 201.

- [Emma] Oh, yeah. Five.

- What are the odds?

Six in a row?

Have fun!

Go get 'em, girl!

- [Emma] Thank you. Alright.

- Wait. Different bag.

- Right.

- [Both] Muah.

- You just gonna spend the entire night in my bedroom?

- Um...

- Don't get gelato on my sheets.

- Excuse me?

Hey, are you Emma?

- Yeah. Mason, hi.

- Hey. Were you just standing out here all alone?

Why didn't you come in?

- Oh, I thought we had planned to meet out...

Doesn't matter.

- Alright. Let's go in.

- Okay. - [Mason] Yeah.

- [Emma] Thank you. - [Mason] Uh-huh.

- [Mason] Silly goose.

(rhythmic, jazzy music)

Yeah, I hang out with a lot of artists.

I'm friends with most of these people, actually.

You should grab some wine.

Get the red, the white is...

Get the red. (chuckles)

- Ready, set, wine.

- [Man] Mason, is that you?

- [Mason] Verner. - [Verner] Come here!

- [Mason] Hello. How are you?

- Excuse me, are you in line?

- [Woman] Are you trying to order some wine?

- Yes, but this gentleman was here first.

- That's actually an art installation.

- [Emma] Oh, my gosh. (chuckles)

- Don't be embarrassed.

People have been doing it all evening.

What can I get for you?

- A glass of the red, please.

- The cab? I just ran out.

But, the pinot gris is much better anyways.

- Sounds great.

- They're asking just for a $5 donation.

It's to provide art programs for foster children.

- Oh, yeah. Of course.

- That jar is actually another art installation.

- [Emma] Okay. (laughs)

- Just.

Perfect. Enjoy.

- Thank you.

- I'm very excited for this one.

I have not seen it yet, but I've heard good things.

Oh, boy.

- [Emma] Huh.

- I guess Tower of Shoes would be appropriate.

(Emma laughs)

This is haunting.

- What does he do?

(leaf blowers whirring)

(Emma laughing)

- No, no, no, no.

Isn't this amazing?

- What is it?

- Raw emotion.

(Emma laughs)

- Oh.

- Hmm. You shoulda gotten the red.

Far superior.

- Well, they were out, and the lady

said that this one was actually better--

- I actually took wine tasting in college, so, huh.

I'm in corporate real estate.

I'm responsible for a few floors

in some pretty tall buildings.

- Oh, my mom's a real estate agent.

- Ooh, I'm not an agent. I get paid more.

Right now I'm at 65 K, when I get promoted it'll be 70.

- Oh.

- That's a lot.

For someone my age, it's a lot. Trust me.

- Oh, yeah. Sure.

- How much do you make?

- I don't really feel like that's

a first date kinda question.

- Aw. You said you're in catering?

Okay, so it can't be more than 40 K.

- The only reason I'm there is to actually

learn a little bit about the business.

I'm gonna open up my own food truck.

It's gonna be painted like the countryside,

and there's gonna be a windowsill at the back--

- Food trucks are tough.

Most can't even pay for their own gas.

- Well, it's not gonna be easy, but.

It's my dream, so.

- What do you think of this one?

- I actually like this one.

- Mason, my love.

- [Mason] Yurn.

(both smooching)

- [Mason] Oh, what a fabulous party.

- I know. I see you've got some wine.

- Mmm.

- Hi, I'm Emma.

- [Yurn] Yurn.

- Yearn, like to long for?

Or like yarn with a U?

- Like Yurn.

- Yurn is the best arts events planner in NoHo.

- So you're a planner?

I recently just met somebody

who still uses an actual planner.

Like a book planner, not like a person planner.

- Did you see Good Boy?

- Oh, simply incredible.

- The glaze?

Actual Sudanese dog urine.

Oh, Mason.

I'm so glad that our journeys have crossed again.

- Oh, thank you Yurn. Thank you.

- [Yurn] First time to the city?

- (sighs) Yurn's terrific.

I actually just spent two weeks in London with her.

Ever been? Transformative.

Oh, I stayed in a chum's flat.

I mean, apartment. (Emma laughs)

Oh, I'm back in the colonies, Mason!

- I was actually in London last summer.

- Oh, you should've stayed with a local.

- I stayed with my aunt--

- Completely different.

Seriously, though.

How much do you make? 35, right?

(Emma chuckles)

- Not enough to afford any of the stuff here.

- Is it 30?

You gotta invest.

If I can give you one piece of advice, you've gotta invest.

- You know, I've--

- You having fun?

Girls seem to like doing something like this

more than just going out to eat or whatever.

- You go on a lot of these?

- This is the best one yet.

Good save?

- No.

- Well.

Ooh! I'm gonna get more wine.

(leaf blowers whirring)

That lady gave me this crazy bitchy look.

It's a donation, that means optional.

- Are you serious?

- Right?

Wait.

- [Emma] Hello. - [Woman] Hello--

- [Emma] Thank you for the wine. It was very good.

This is for that guy.

I am really sorry about him--

- What are you doing? They don't actually need the money.

Foster kids in this country

actually have it pretty good, okay?

- That's--

- [Mason] Hold on, how much do you make?

- You are an awful person.

- Actually, I'm a patron of the artistic community.

- You are a rich, bad guy.

And because of your money or whatever, you're

probably never gonna address that about yourself.

- [Mason] Actually-- - [Emma] Fuck off!

- [Mason] Wow.

- Also, whoever painted this.

I really, really like this.

This is awesome.

Okay.

(relaxed strumming music)

Is it me?

All these awful dates, there's only one thing in common.

- Everyone's terrible.

- I hope that's not true.

You would've hated this guy.

- Mm-hmm.

- He kept going on, and on, and on

about stuff he knew nothing about.

- A mansplainer.

I don't know why it's so hard for men to listen to women.

- Right? And that's it, right?

Just listening, just a guy who listens.

I think I get to want that.

I can have that.

- Yep, Felix, hold on a second. I gotta write it down.

Okay, okay, alright. Man.

Okay, Liam wants to have dinner tomorrow.

Seven, yeah, I actually have it available.

Okay, yeah. Alright, alright, bye.

(sighs)

(relaxed strumming music)

(chuckles)

7 Marvel Characters Who Have Single-Handedly Destroyed Thanos - Duration: 4:49.

Long before he started collecting Infinity Stones in the MCU and laid waste to the Avengers

in Infinity War, comics readers were well aware that Thanos is undoubtedly one of the

strongest beings in the Marvel Universe.

But you know what they say: the bigger they are, the harder they fall, and nobody has

fallen harder than The Mad Titan.

"Who dead?

You dead!"

"you dead, yes!"

How?

Here's a look at seven Marvel characters who have single-handedly destroyed Thanos.

Drax the Destroyer

"of course Ronan was only a puppet."

Considering he was literally created to destroy Thanos, Drax the Destroyer has a pretty poor

track record, getting defeated time and time again.

"You had one job."

But in Annihilation #4, Drax finally managed to take Thanos out, punching him right through

the chest and literally ripping his heart out.

Of course, he did it at exactly the wrong time, as Thanos had just teamed up with the

good guys to save the universe from the villainous Annihilus.

That's just soooo Drax.

Adam Warlock

The full power of the Infinity Gems was on display in 1977's Marvel Two-in-One Annual

#2, where Thanos attempted use their might to destroy the sun.

The combined power of the Avengers and their allies wasn't enough to stop him, but luckily

they had an inside man - literally.

Contained inside the Soul Gem was the spirit of Thanos's arch-enemy, Adam Warlock.

Once freed, he made short work of Thanos by turning him into solid rock.

Hey, he said he wanted stones, right?!

Thane

Early in Thanos' life, the Mad Titan killed his mother, his wife, his children, and countless

millions more in the hopes of persuading Mistress Death to love him and become his wife.

Years later, though, during the Infinity crossover event, readers discovered that during his

travels, Thanos fathered an Inhuman/Eternal hybrid son named Thane.

In Infinity #6, Thanos finds his son, intent on killing him too.

However, Thanos is betrayed by his minion Ebony Maw, who harnesses Thane's innate power

over death itself to freeze Thanos in a amber-like prison known as "Living Death."

Zombie Hulk

Who doesn't like zombies, right?

Marvel certainly does, because starting in 2005, they began a series of Marvel Zombies

storylines featuring the Marvel heroes and villains all turned into brain-eating zombies.

Written by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman himself, Marvel Zombies 2 took place 40 years

in the future, after super zombies have eaten their way across the entire universe.

Among those left: Zombie Thanos and Zombie Hulk.

And if you think Hulk Smashes, imagine how much smashing Zombie Hulk does - something

that Thanos learned the hard way when he made the mistake of getting Hulk angry.

Hey, he did warn us!

"That's my secret, Captain.

I'm always angry."

Death

The first issue of Thanos' 2016 ongoing solo series ended with the revelation that Thanos,

though at the height of his power to all outward appearance, was dying from a debilitating

illness that left him weak and eventually powerless.

So where did this mystery malady come from?

In Thanos #6, fans learned that it was inflicted by none other than Death herself.

And who can blame her after having to endure decades of clearly unwanted advances from

a petulant, entitled jerk like Thanos?

She's not into you, bro!

With his powers gone, Thanos was left vulnerable for a series of vicious beatdowns, each and

every one of which he totally had coming.

"My lady!

Protect me!"

Himself

In the classic series Infinity Gauntlet, which inspired the hit film Avengers: Infinity War,

Thanos outdid himself, killing half the universe in another failed attempt to impress Death.

And with the power to control all reality with the Infinity Gauntlet, it seemed as though

nothing could stop his childish anger.

But it turned out there was someone who could defeat Thanos: himself.

Yes, old pal Adam Warlock revealed to Thanos that through a psychic bond, he learned that

Thanos secretly knows he's not worthy of the power he seeks, and thus always unconsciously

makes mistakes allowing himself to be defeated.

Realizing the truth in Warlock's words, Thanos helped Warlock regain the Infinity Gauntlet

and restore the universe.

Squirrel Girl

Finally, no list of the Marvel Universe's most powerful characters would be complete

with Squirrel Girl.

She has the powers of both a squirrel and a girl, making her unbeatable.

Don't believe us?

Just ask Dr. Doom, or Galactus, both of whom she has defeated using pluck, self confidence,

friendship, and - of course - the help of her squirrel friends.

Just how awesome is Squirrel Girl?

In the GLX-Mas Special one-shot, Squirrel Girl defeated Thanos with the help of her

trusted squirrel, Tippy-Toe, thereby saving the entire Multiverse.

And in total badass style, she did it off panel, because it's such a given she would

win that it's not even worth the time to show it.

Maybe if he had used the Thanos-copter instead of the Infinity Gauntlet he would have won.

may 2018 rainy day plan with me // vedim 2018 day 2 [cc] - Duration: 9:44.

welcome to my first plan with me video1

I filmed this last night, and then the end got cut off kind of weird,

because... I had my phone sticky tacked to my ceiling,

but then the, like, protective screen on my phone came off,

because my phone is cracked

so, like, it just cuts off weird.

but that's okay!

because it's my first time, I also wasn't a hundred percent good with, like, framing?

so that's why the framing in this is a bit... weird?

um but I kind of like how it looks.

it feels very, like, low-key and stuff

so yeah... I hope you like it!

so the first step is to write out the month,

and I'm using this dark blue yoobi gel pen,

and it has, like, glitter in it which is super cool-

like glittery-type sequins.

and I really like it, and I really like how it looks.

(zoned out by joakim karud)

the next thing I do is I write down a kind of little mini calendar of the dates this month,

so that I can refer back to it if I need help.

I'm using a pilot G-2 07 pink pen to write the days of the week,

and I start my calendars on Monday because that's just what works for me,

as someone who goes to school Monday through Friday and then has the weekend.

I like having the weekend, you know, on the end.

um and then I'm going through with my pilot G-2 07, like, lime green pen,

and I'm writing down all the, like, numbers... dates... yes *laughs*

(zoned out by joakim karud)

so, before I started filling everything out, I did choose what pen colors I wanted to use.

but then I waited until I had figured out which would kind of be a more prominent color

to go through and choose what washi tape I wanted to use.

I'm not that good at doodling, so instead of that, I use washi tape to accent.

so here's me going through my, frankly quite large, washi tape collection

and getting the first round of contenders for the tapes that I want to use this month.

and then I go through a second time and get it down to, like, three or four. maybe five,

depending on what I'm doing that month.

(zoned out by joakim karud)

on the page facing my, like, opening page, I put a habit tracker.

and so my habits for the month of May are:

eating one meal a day every day, and then eating two meals a day every day,

brushing my teeth every day, washing my face every morning,

doing my nighttime skincare routine, taking my meds every morning,

and wearing my retainer every night.

all of these things are things that I really really need to work on.

also, the way that I organize my habit tracker is:

the first, like, row is the first half of the month,

and then the second chunk is the second half of the month.

I felt that this just fit better, especially into this specific journal.

I used to do, like, a grid that took up like a whole page,

and I just really wasn't a fan of how that looked.

so I changed it to this, and I like this so much better.

(zoned out by joakim karud)

what I'm doing here is kind of my monthly overview type thing.

I do half of the month on one page and then half of the month on the other page,

so that I have a nice, like, chunk of space underneath.

and I put the date in my little green,

and then I go through and I write, like, the day of the week that it is in my pink.

(zoned out by joakim karud)

what I'm blocking off here is the weekends so that I know,

because every other weekend I have specific things I do.

I change my sheets and I water my plants

and it's nice to just kind of have my month sectioned off a little bit.

what I'm doing here with just like this plain black pilot G-2 07 pen

is I'm going through and cordoning off every two weeks,

so that I know when I end my bi weekly vlog.

I'm also doing vedim this month,

so I went through and I made sure that I had two pages blocked off to make a vedim schedule,

which I then fill in later in this video.

so I keep a google calendar,

and what i'm doing here is i'm going through and i'm switching stuff over

from my Google Calendar into my bullet journal.

that includes every other weekend, like I said I do my plants and my sheets,

and then I, also, with my skincare routine-

alternating between exfoliating and doing a skin mask-

so I write down what days I'm supposed to do what.

because time is very hard for me to keep track of without something written down.

this was right after I realized that I could pull my laptop closer,

so I didn't have to reach at a really awkward position

to scroll through the days on my Google Calendar.

and also I- you can't really see it in this angle because of how I filmed this-

but I'm going through and I'm putting in everything that's happening

over the course of the month.

I'm a lot more busy the first half of the month, because I'm still in school,

whereas the second half of the month is mostly empty.

this is the last little bit I got

before my phone decided it didn't like me anymore.

and it's just me filling in the vedim schedule

and making it into a calendar so that I can plan stuff out.

so here is my final overview!

you can see that I've put some really cute little spring washi tape around my may front page,

and then I also added a little space for what media I watch, read, etc. this month.

and then also a place to brainstorm my may favorites video.

so I'm super happy with how these first two pages look!

and then here is my final monthly overview, all filled out and ready to go.

and I have a little space for where- what clothes I don't wear this month,

and I will go over why I have that in a video I'm planning on putting out about how I organize.

and here is the best spread I think I have ever done.

it's the one I'm most proud of.

it's my vedim schedule.

you can see that I wrote down what video I'm planning on putting out each day,

and I have little things to track how far along I am on making the video.

and I am just so so happy with how this looks.

I'm so proud of myself honestly.

and this last little page is just a simple little list

of the projects that I have to do for the end of the semester in may.

and I don't actually have as many as I expected, which is awesome.

Geyser coffee maker REVIEW and OVERVIEW | how to cook CAPPUCCINO at home - Duration: 4:29.

Hello!

appeared in my geyser coffee maker Maestro MR 1660-6

I will show the principle of operation and what other additional attributes

Need to make delicious cappuccino

The principle of operation of all geyser coffee machines is the same

the upper part is untwisted

inside looks like this, now I'll show you

here is a filter,

in this capacity coffee is superimposed

naturally, ground coffee.

in the same capacity, water is drawn up to the level of the fuse

I have already scored

quantity per one full cup coffee

but I want to immediately note that I pour 1 spoon for 1 cup of coffee

poured, a little we compact

you can pour 2, 3, 4 and more spoons of coffee here

then the coffee will be more strong and obtained coffee can be poured

a few cups a little and already top up with boiling water

you will get several servings of coffee

coffee generally done very quickly

turn on the stove

put on the plate

it fits both for gas, induction, electric cookers

wait until it boils

the principle is clear: in this part of the water it starts to boil

passes through coffee cup

then the steam goes up

here it condenses and settles in the form of ready-made coffee

while coffee is being prepared I I will make a foam

pour into the cup from which we will drink coffee,

some milk

here you hear this sound - this began condensation of coffee

when the sound stops, you must turn it off

So, milk before whipping is better to warm in a microwave

I will whisk a multi mixer SINBO STO 6516

milk rises 2-3 times

the fatter milk, the better keeps foam

not so quickly settles

the foam is whipped,

now you better to see when I fill the cup

such a wonderful coffee is obtained in home conditions

very fast and very tasty!

and yet! :)
