Waching daily Mar 3 2017

There are many many pokemon, along with that there are a lot of types to said pokemon.

With that many pokemon there has to be the select few, the strongest of the bunch, "the

cream of the crop, nobody does it better".

With that we're going to be naming of the top 10 strongest pokemon in their selected

type.

This is going to be based off of mostly pokemon itself and not the competitive standpoint,

but there will be instances of competitive if need be.

I'm going to be the removing box cover legendaries to let the others shine, but at the same time

these are going to be either final evolutions.

That being said, let's get into the list.

At number 10, coming in at 7ft and 195lbs, Feraligatr.

Feraligatr moves slowly as it comes out of the water and when there's really no objective

for it, but when there's prey, this pokemon moves at blinding speed.

Once it gets it's prey, then it's probably going to die.

It bites onto its prey and then shakes its head and starts to tear up the prey like it's

a rag doll.

I believe that most Feraligatr's would be around the same strength as the Feraigatr

that threw Blastoise like a rock to a window.

Number 9, pokemon 693.

Clawitzer, the Howitzer pokemon.

Which is a short gun for firing shells on high trajectories at low velocities.

Clawitzer's giant claw can pierce the hulls of a tank, moving at almost 70 miles per hour.

With a team of Clawitzers, you could fight an army just using water pulse.

Along with that, a shot from this pokemon should donut any pokemon with this type of

power.

He also has the ability of Mega Launcher so that explains the piercing power.

Number 8, Samurott.

This pokemon alone had max potential to be a better pokemon in transitioning from the

original black & white 2.

Although he doesn't have the best of use in competitive play, his dex entry does indicate

that he ends other pokemon in a fell swoop of his seamitars that are attached to the

front legs.

Along with that, the pokemon has a reputation among other pokemon to where it's glare

alone will silence everyone.

Number 7, Golisopod.

With a flashing slash of its giant sharp claws, it cleaves seawater—or even air—right

in two.

If you're not sure about what "cleaves" means, imagine a cleaver then there's a

big ole *chop*.

To do so underwater, you have to be moving at a pretty ridiculous speed to do so.

Speed leaving a sharp cut of air underwater like a bullet being shot.

Number 6, Blastoise and Mega Blastoise.

Blastoise alone is a pretty strong pokemon, but taking those giant cannons on his back

into consideration just continue to boost him up even further.

Those cannons blow holes right through steel and it makes itself heavy to withstand the

recoil of the water jets it fires.

So along with blowing itself back, it has to fight pokemon while shooting and it with

stands with what should be double the force depending on what pokemon it's fighting

though.

These cannons have disgusting precision with being able to strike empty cans over a distance

of 160 feet.

With becoming Mega Blastoise, the canons become one but double in the power.

It has a blast range of 6 miles too with the same attributes of precision from before.

Blastoise can also retreat into it's shell and launch itself with it's water jets,

along with that it can shoot the powerful water from every hole of the shell when retreated.

A ridiculous powerhouse to not be slept on.

Number 5, Swampert and Mega Swampert.

I really wanted to be biased for this mon.

I really did because I'm pretty sure it's blatant that I love this pokemon or well this

evolution line of pokemon.

I mean look at my banner.

Swampert is very strong.

It has enough power to easily drag a boulder weighing more than a ton.

This Pokémon also has powerful vision that lets it see even in murky water.

It can swim while towing a large ship.

It bashes down foes with a swing of its thick arms.

Mega Swampert fills the organs on its back with air before diving underwater or battling.

It uses that pressure to increase the power of its punch.

4, Greninja and Ash-Greninja.

Greninja moves with the speed and grace of a ninja, using swift movements to confuse

its enemies while it slices them up with throwing stars made of compressed water; these throwing

stars are sharp enough to split metal.

Ash-Greninja's leg strength has been enhanced compared to an ordinary Greninja, making it

difficult to see because of the speed at which it can move.

It takes its enemies out in a flash!

It becomes able to make giant Water Shurikens on its back, and it can throw them in rapid

succession.

3, Kingler.

A Pincer Pokémon whose claws can pinch with the power of 10,000 horsepower.

That's 7.5 million watts of power from that pinch.

That's 5,500,000 foot-pounds-force per second.

Imagine these claws crushing you.

I'm pretty sure that can break even a Cloyster shell with enough time.

If you want to compare even deeper, tell me why Krabby has more attack alone than all

of these other water types.

There's not many pokemon that could matchup to Kinglers

sheer force.

Eeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

2, Wishiwashi.

"An individual Wishiwashi is small and weak, the people of Alola still fear it and call

it the demon of the sea."

This pokemon obviously in a solo form will be nothing, now in it's school form is where

it gets the name demon of the sea.

It's power multiplies to the point of where in the dex it says that it's water gun is

some pokemons hydro pump.

That's pretty ridiculous when in the world of pokemon.

Meaning only someone including game mechanics, but I'd say it's focusing on the anime

standpoint.

1, Gyarados & Mega-Gyarados.

I'm pretty sure you guys know Gyarados.

This pokemon alone was know for causing terror to not just Team Rocket, but to pokemon towns

back in the day apparently.

"Rarely seen in the wild.

Huge and vicious, it is capable of destroying entire cities in a rage."

"Brutally vicious and enormously destructive.

Known for totally destroying cities in ancient times."

"Extremely vicious and horribly brutal.

Has enough destructive power to totally annihilate even a major city."

All of the entries are pretty crazy, especially when compared to the recent pokemon we just

went through.

What finalized Gyarados alone for me was, "Once Gyarados goes on a rampage, its ferociously

violent blood doesn't calm until it has burned everything down.

There are records of this Pokémon's rampages lasting a whole month."

Now for it's Mega entry, it goes into it's super sonic speed that it develops and now

along with that, "Mega Evolution also affects its brain, leaving no other function except

its destructive instinct to burn everything to cinders."

So with having all of that stamina, speed, and sheer power..

The pokemon itself just goes blank and destroys everything possible.

Congratulation Magikarp, you made

it somewhere.

How I make my Metal Cover Videos, my birthday, and upcoming events | PACVlog 5 - Duration: 13:29.

Hi there YouTube friends!

Welcome to a new video

Today I'm doing another one of those vlogs where I talk and talk...

talk and talk... talk and talk...

and never shut up

I talk and talk...

but today I'll try to make a shorter vlog

last one was too long

and it took too much time to edit and that's not the idea

the idea is for this to be faster

so I have more time to do the Metal Covers

which I know is what you like the most from the channel

and speaking of Metal Covers

a lot of people keep on asking about the new Dragon Ball Super opening

Paulo do the new Dragon Ball Super theme!

Are you going to do the new Dragon Ball Super theme?

Paulo Limit Break X Survivor!

Paulo do the Dragon Ball Super theme!

Limit Break Survivor!

Paulo do the new Dragon Ball Super theme!!!

I've mentioned it in several videos

but I usually talk about it at the end

and you never watch the videos till the end

But anyways, I decided to talk about this at beginning of this video

so you don't miss it...

so you can tell your friends...

Yes, I'm already working on the new Dragon Ball Super theme

It's not ready yet but I'm working on it

I warn you outright that I'm doing it in Japanese first

and right now what I'm doing is trying to see how I'm going to extend the theme

since I don't want it to be as short as it is in the series

I want to extend it a little so that's what I'm contemplating how to do

I really liked the theme and it fits great for a Metal Cover

I think you're gonna like it

I haven't been able to make progress with this theme cause I was working on the one from Samurai X

and after I finished it I was a little sick for a couple of days

and my birthday was coming up so...

I decided to take a little break

to really enjoy this time of the year

By the way, I want to thank all the people who sent me birthday messages

some of you sent me voice notes

some of you sent me drawings

But I want to especially thank the people who sent me a message through the Fan Club

Joaquín, Gustavo, Laura, Paula

and Mai of course, who was the one that organized this idea

Thank you very very much

I had never been sent a present like that

it was really special for me

it was a really nice detail

and I was already having a great birthday

so that made it even more special

I think I already wrote to all of you on Facebook or I left you a message or something

if you haven't seen it, go check your Facebook

Thanx again

and for those who don't know the Fan Club yet

I invite you to visit the Facebook Page and like it

I'll leave a link in the description

I'll also leave the link to the video they sent me so you can watch it

Well, one of the things I wanna talk about today

is that I already have some events scheduled for this year

and with "some" I mean I have two scheduled events

The first one is at Quito

I'll be to participating in an event called Quito Game Show

during April

It'll take place during the April 7th (Friday), 8th (Saturday), and 9th (Sunday)

On Friday I'll have an acoustic presentation

if you've seen the acoustic videos in the channel you can have an idea of how it's gonna sound

I don't know what I'm going to play yet

I haven't decided

if you'd like to listen to something in particular

Please leave a comment

In a certain way this will be like an opener for Saturday's concert

in which I'll be with singing along with the backing tracks I've recorded for the Metal Covers

it will probably be a little longer

so I hope to see you all there

both days

I'll leave the event info on the video's description

so you can check it if you're from Ecuador

where it is and all that stuff

The other event is going to be here at Bogotá

I had already told you I was gonna try to organize something here

and it's almost ready

the idea is to have a concert like the one we had at SOFA, with the whole band

it's gonna be on May

Probably on the 20th, though it's still not confirmed entirely

there are some things left to solve

so as soon as I have the info verified and everything is super organized

I'll tell you about it again in the channel and of course the Facebook page and everything

When we played at SOFA we had a great time

but we were left wanting to play some more

So we want this concert to last longer

the idea is to do this event on a Saturday afternoon

around 3pm and it's gonna be at Ozzy Bar

as soon as its all ready I'll give you the complete info

If you'd like to see me in your city the only thing I can recommend you do

is spamming the event organizers

so maybe they may contact me

I have another couple of pending events

but I can't tell you about them until they're confirmed

Well, these were the news I had for you today

and now I want to talk about a topic that came up again in the last few weeks

and it's about the Metal Covers

Why I take so long to do the Metal Covers

I think most of you still don't understand how these videos work

How I do these videos

so I'll give you a little explanation again

For these videos I usually work by myself

most of the work depends only and exclusively on me

there are few parts of the process where I have help

and it really isn't because I don't like people helping me

but because it's very difficult to schedule things with other people so they can really help me out

Once I have selected the song I'm gonna do

the process begins by thinking the version through, getting some sort of idea of how it's going to work

this generally occurs when I'm like...

going to bed

or when I'm taking a shower

on one of those moments when

ideas come to your mind

and that's when I start visualizing the cover

usually during this time I'm listening to the song a lot

trying to identify the arrangements

looking for the details that make the song easy to identify

Basically what I do is record a guide guitar

that helps me work on the drums

so I can record everything else on top of it

sequencing the drums takes time but once it's ready it gets easier to get everything else done

what I do is record the guitars

two rhythmic guitars on each side

and some leading guitars

and I also record the bass

the bass is something I can do particularly fast

You generally can't clearly identify the bass

so I can get away with some things that aren't really perfect

but the bass really helps for the song to sound with "cojones"(balls)

as Metal should sound

with "cojones"

after that I start recording vocal demos or the actual vocals

backing vocals and all the vocal arrangements

and the Keyboards that include additional instrumentation

and sometimes this includes effects that make the song sound more epic

you guys don't notice most of these effects

but they create an atmosphere behind the song

that gives it a special tone

that makes it different from other versions and it makes it sound more epic

when I'm finished recording I proceed to mixing

mixing is when you set the volume

and you organize the song in frequencies

the guitars sound in these frequencies...

the vocals in these ones...

this will be at that volume

If I started mixing every song from scratch

this step could take a lot of time

but what I do is that I already have some presets

which are the settings I've already used for previous songs

I just apply them again to the tracks I have

and with that I save a lot of time

but I always have to rearrange some things

When I finish mixing or at least I have a first version

I can send it to Manuel, who works on mastering the song

What I send to Manuel is a stereo file

an audio file with two channels, left and right

mastering is the last step

in musical production

and what Manuel does is try to make the most out of the file I send

he only has a file so he can't change volume

he can't change the frequencies in each sound

but he can improve the final sound of the song

Some people have written to Manuel

because of his name, Manuel Karakas, some think he's latin

but Manuel is a sound engineer who lives in Germany

He's from Germany, so he doesn't speak spanish

so if you send him messages in spanish he'll have to use google translate

to understand what you want to say

I'm sure Manuel will be watching this video so

Hi Manuel!!!

Manuel's help has been very important to improve the channel's quality

besides mastering, Manuel gives me feedback on the mixes I send

We can talk about the mix and he tells me what he didn't like or what could be better

and this helps me a lot to improve the quality of my mixes

before working with Manuel I would send my mixes to some people I knew

but they rarely gave useful feedback

what most of them told me wasn't very accurate

instead Manuel made very specific comments or gave very specific advice

that really helped me to improve the mixing

Manuel started helping me after Chandelier

and if you listen to the next song, Pegasus Fantasy

the quality improved a lot from one song to another

While Manuel is mastering the song I record the video

this is a matter of setting up the camera...

Studying the songs... generally I'm not playing the song from start to finish

So I have to practice the song to play it in the video

I'm doing playback in the videos

I'm never recording while I'm recording the videos

I did that for a couple of videos when I was getting started

but it didn't allow me to make the video in a way that looked good

It was very limiting visually

so I decided to record everything like a video clip

everything on top of the finished song

so I can set the camera the way I really want

and for instance, playing the guitar

since I'm not as good with it, it's kind of difficult to focus on playing well

and make something visually attractive

so I practice in a similar way to how I'd practice for a concert

which is trying to play in the best possible way

while I try to do weird faces and move around

and while I try to do something that's entertaining to watch

I think most people don't understand how I record the videos

If you're interested to see how I have everything set up here at home

you can leave a comment below

and maybe I could make like a mini tour

of what I use to record the videos

and how the general production of all the songs works

sometimes the videos look very complete

but it's actually just me in this room

this is a small room

and this is a wall

I know it doesn't look like it but it's a wall

this is as far back as I can go

so this is a rather small room

and I have to work out ways to make the videos look as good as possible

so it doesn't look low quality, but rather professional

That requires a lot of time, and a lot of takes

from many different angles

to make the video look fluid and interesting

When I have the complete mastered version

and the video recorded

I proceed to edit the video

and this is a less creative process

There's usually less creativity when editing the video

it's more about cutting where is needed

and cuting things in a way that looks good

but it takes a lot of time

it takes a lot of patience

and there isn't really a way to skip the steps

you just have to work until it's done

sometimes I add some different filters and special effects

like weird blurs and stuff that makes the video look more exciting

and when all that is finished I render the video

to see how it will actually look when I upload it to YouTube

I generally do at least one test

I upload a version of the video to check how it looks on YouTube

and with that I decide wether it's okay

or if I have to change things a bit

so it looks the way I want

The process isn't easy at all

I tend to end up a bit burned out

especially when it comes to recording the videos

it's pretty much the opposite of the rest of the activities

since I'm mostly sitting still

when I record the videos I spend a lot of time standing in front of the camera

moving around and...

trying to make things look really exciting

so it's like giving a really really long concert

like 8 hours

playing in front of the camera

changing things, the lights, the camera angle...

and repeating the song over and over again till it's good

It usually takes a lot of time

but for me it's worth doing as much as I can to get the videos looking as good as possible

that's why I thank you so much for sharing the videos and commenting

for keeping up with the channel

the channel hasn't returned yet to the point it was at before YouTube changed the notifications

so I'd be very thankful if you could activate the notification bell

...share the videos and talk to your friends

or the people you know who watch the videos

so maybe the channel can return to that point

so you can understand what I mean

the channel had reached a point where

in the same day I posted a video

it would reach almost 9000 views

now it takes 2 or 3 days to reach that

and people are still telling me

they didn't know about certain video

that they aren't getting the notifications

so it's kinda sad how YouTube changes things

and it bothers the channel

but well, I have to keep working anyways

I think that's enough for today

if you have more questions about how I make the videos

or suggestions and ideas about things you'd like to see in these vlogs

you can leave them in the comments below

as always don't forget you can support me by buying the songs I've uploaded to the channel

also you can follow me on my social media and suscribe to the channel

that's it for now so see you in the next video

Mata ne! (See you next time!)

What's The Deal With The First 100 Days, Anyway? | Ron's Office Hours | NPR - Duration: 2:11.

Today we're going to talk about the first 100 days.

So where does this 100 days idea come from?

Is there something in the constitution?

Is it some legal requirement? Absolutely not.

It's a measure of how quickly a president is getting something done.

And probably the place where this really got started was

with the period of time that it took for Napoleon

after he had fallen from power and been exiled to an island

off the coast of Italy and then escaped from that island and returned to France

and then gotten all the way to Paris and rallied his army to his side.

After all that had happened, there was a period of time where Napoleon once again ruled France.

And during that period of time Napoleon reorganized the government,

he re-energized the French people

and he reorganized, also, the French army.

But the idea of this period of time in which Napoleon accomplished all these remarkable things,

has more or less entered mythology as a magical period of achievement.

In the United States, the myth really centers on the 100 days at the very beginning of Franklin D. Roosevelt's four terms as president.

He was elected in 1932,

took office on March 4 in 1933,

and in the next 100 days, managed to pass much of the legislation that would become his legacy,

much of what would constitute the New Deal.

That 100 days then because the standard for each new president there after.

Now, for most presidents, it's nothing like what it was for Franklin Roosevelt

who had enormous majorities for his Democratic Party in the House and the Senate

and had the country united behind him.

And it's most important to bear in mind,

it's about nothing other than tradition and custom and the kind of thing that the media,

including us, love to talk about.

It's something as much in our imagination as anything else.

So, I'm Ron Elving and thanks for coming to my office hours.

Like Netflix, but with More Hit Men | Comedy Sketch - Duration: 3:34.

What are you doing?

What does it look like?

Looking through DVD's.

That's because that's what I'm doing.

Yes, but why are you?

I'm trying to find something to watch.

Oh.

Any luck?

No, it's just a bunch of random DVD's that I don't even know where they came from.

Like this one.

I never even had a piano, much less wanted to learn it.

Or how about this one: "The Pirates of Penzance".

What even is a Penzance?

I think it's a place.

Whatever, but why do I have it?

Why would I know?

I don't know, does it say somewhere in your contract?

That's not how it works.

I know, I'm just frustrated that I can't find anything good to watch.

You have a Netflix account, why not just find something on there?

Because Netflix is even worse, they have a lot more of the "why does that even exist?"

and not a lot of "oh hey, I've been wanting to see that movie."

Well you could buy something off Google Play.

Are you kidding?

I don't have money to spend on that, I can't even afford a decent camera.

Well then why not do something outside.

Because, outside is boring.

It's only boring if you let it be.

All there is outside is nature, there's no TV or anything.

There's fresh air and that would be good for you.

Okay Mom, I'll get my sneakers and jacket and we can go to the park and play on the

swings.

Woo hoo, here we are, outside.

We're already out here, so you might as well try to enjoy yourself.

Enjoy myself doing what?

There is nothing out here but cold air, bacteria and wind chill.

Two of those were basically the same thing.

If you want to have fun, just make something up.

What do you mean "make something up"?

You see that guy over there?

Yes.

Tell me about him.

I don't know him.

Make something up.

Fine, I'll go along with your little game, but don't think I don't see what you're doing.

That man's name is Carlos.

To look at him you'd think he was just a normal guy, but he's just escaped from a remote prison

in Russia.

Why was he there?

He's a hit man who managed to assassinate someone very high up in the Russian government.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't make it out of the building in time and got caught.

He spent the next two months moving between solitary confinement and being tortured while

the KGB tried to find out who sent him.

But Carlos is strong and didn't tell them anything.

But finally, after the two months mentioned, Carlos managed to escape the prison.

He walked for hundreds of miles until he got to a dock where he stowed away on a ship bound

for Mexico.

Mexico?

The man who hired him is a powerful drug lord.

After Carlos arrived in Mexico he tracked down the drug lord and demanded his money.

The Drug lord was so surprised to see him that Carlos realized he had tipped off the

KGB to him and caused him to get captured.

This made Carlos very angry.

You don't want to make Carlos angry.

After that incident Carlos sneaked across the border where he planned to live out his

days in a suburban area as a normal guy, but he soon realized that there were a couple

of people who had figured out the truth about him.

Obviously, Carlos couldn't allow them to live or it would ruin everything.

See?

When you put your mind to it you can have a good time, even outside.

Huh, that guy is walking over here, I wonder what he wants?

Hello, my name is Carlos.

I just moved here and don't know anybody.

Hello.

Hey, his name is Carlos, just like-

Faceup Tutorial №57 Pullip OOAK Custom doll repaint and assemble tutorial by WillStore - Duration: 5:37.

Hi Guys!

It's time to continue Pullip customization!

She's already sealed twice, so i just start to color the lips and make blush with softpastel.

I paint the brows with pastel and watercolor pencil as an monster high dolls.

Drawing the eyelashes.

I start it with the lightest brown pencil and then layer by layer make it darker and

more saturated.

The painting process of the upper eyelids is different for Pullip or BJD and Monster

high dolls.

You should make just a winged eyeline and you don't need upper eyelashes, because

they will be glued.

I forgot to film how I painted the eyelids with airbrush…

Sorry!

They have metallic effect.

So Cool!

I saturate lips and eyelashes.

Here comes my black pencil.

Yes it's too old and short, but i love it!

Take PVA glue, dolls eyelashes, measure it and glue to the eyelids.

Now goes my favorite life hack.

Take human eyelashes curler and curl doll's eyelashes! voila!

it's much more cute!

Now we will assemble Pullip.

You can see previous video in reverse or continue this.

Hook the springs to the eyelids.

Insert eyelids in the head.

Don't forget about eyelashes!

Put in eye mechanism and tighten the 3 screws.

Insert the levers and hook them for spring.

Put in the body and head cap.

tighten another 3 screws.

And Pullip is done!

She can open and close her eyes, change direction of the sight and she is so lovely!

Hope this video vas useful for you!

Please leave your thougts about Blythe and Pullip dolls in the comment section.

Do you like them?

Hope to see you again!

good afternoon everyone and happy friday

welcome to the lead I'm Jake Tapper

president Trump is today trying to take

back control of his messaging today he's

promoting school vouchers and a visit to

a Catholic school in orlando florida

this after yet another top advisor has

become ensnared by the problem of

failing to be forthcoming about

conversations with Russian officials

today new questions about just one

attorney general jeff Sessions discussed

exactly with Russia's ambassador

ambassador last summer that September

and why the White House contradicted its

own AG on whether his failure to report

those meetings was a problem as we

learned thatmore Trump officials

actually did meet with Russia's

ambassador in this edition CNN senior

White House correspondent Jeff Dellinger

join me on Jeff president Trump said

very clearly not so long ago that nobody

deals with has had anything to do with

Raja that's clearly untrue cake he's not

only said it once his advisors have said

it again and again in recent weeks and

months that no one had any contact with

Russian officials but as we end this

week let's take stock of this list the

Attorney General his son-in-law who's a

senior advisor to the President as well

as other advisors

so now that we know about the meetings

what we don't know is why and what did

president Trump heading off today for a

weekend in Florida but not escaping

lingering questions about Russia before

leaving the White House his closest

advisers holding an animated meeting in

the oval office chief strategist the fan

is looking for particularly agitated as

the weekend with more AIDS acknowledging

meetings with the Russian ambassador

last year a day after attorney-general

jeff Sessions recused himself from any

investigations involving the 2016

campaign after failing to disclose his

meetings with the Ambassador the

administration is on sandwich control

the president's words from last month

not holding up to scrutiny

I have nothing to do with Russia to the

best of my technology no person that I

deal with us

the White House has yet to explain the

purpose of these meetings the disclosure

of which has overshadowed the

president's well-regarded speech to

Congress this week

Republicans urging team Trump to be more

forthcoming I think the everybody who

had contact with the Russians meeting in

a practice of oversharing in a statement

the president defending his attorney

general as an honest man blasting

Democrats for what he called a total

witch hunt those words echoed in Moscow

for Russian Foreign Minister Sergey

Lavrov described it the same way to go

to the and all look like a witch-hunt

Russia clearly on the president's mind

today sending this tweet we should start

an immediate investigation into Senator

Schumer and his ties to Russia and Putin

a total hypocrite

Senator Schumer firing back happily talk

about my contact with mr. Putin and his

associates took place in 2003 in full

view of press and public under oath

would you and your team

in Wisconsin vice president Mike tense

facing questions about using a personal

email account to conduct business as

indiana governor it was hacked in a

phishing scam as first reported by the

indianapolis star i'm very confident

that our email practices were full

compliance with all of Indiana's laws on

the campaign trail he often criticized

Hillary Clinton's private email server

even classified information that was

allowed to be on her own private server

honest with you i'm experiencing Clinton

scandals fatigue tense rejected that

comparison today

no there's no comparison whatsoever

between Hillary Clinton's practice of

having a private server mishandling

classified information destroying emails

all this as the week through to a close

with the president still not finding a

new travel ban for visitors for majority

Muslim countries he wants argued it was

urgently needed because the delay would

allow the bad dudes to rush in a new

report from the Department of Homeland

Security undercuts his goal finding that

most violent extremists are not

radicalized when they come to the US but

only after living here for several years

so Jake is this weekend we do not have a

new timetable from the administration on

when this executive order will be signed

the urgency seems to have gone away but

the reality here is the White House has

gotten resistance from inside these

agencies as you reported two weeks ago

and this is still coming we are told but

it may not even be next week we're told

when it is ready they will let us know

all right just only the white house for

us thank you so much right now we have

more questions and answers about Trump

officials contact with the Russians and

mcmullen is with us now he's a former

CIA operative who ran for president as

an independent alternative to Donald

Trump he was before that a Republican

House staffer thank you so much for

joining us seven always good to see you

for it did you so you were CIA officer

nobody and Evan Perez has reported that

the intelligence community the US

intelligence community believes that

Russia's ambassador sergey kids react is

not just an ambassador but he is a spy

and he's also a spying recruiter that

you was that your understanding when you

or at the agency you yes that is my

understanding but why it's significant

is that you have somebody with enormous

access here in Washington as an

ambassador engaging with some of our

senior most officials in Congress and

elsewhere who also has the skills that a

spy would have to extract important

information and to help run covert

operations and so that's the kind of

person we're dealing with their it

doesn't mean that all of ambassador kiss

reacts activities are related to

espionage but it means he is a skilled

practitioner of that of such operations

pie graph that's right

can you give me just a kind of

understanding of what that means exactly

he's at me as skills and persuasion and

extracting information when people don't

want to give that information what

exactly me he would have skills in in

compromising people first and foremost

so that essentially blackmailing the

blackmailing but it's not just black no

it's not as dramatic as that it's about

slowly easing people into a situation in

which they're revealing information that

they shouldn't reveal that compromises

them which makes it easier to get

additional information and additionally

compromise them into the future until

you have something that amounts to a

covert operation in which they're

working on behalf of you that's what his

job would be but as you point out he

also is the ambassador and surely does

things along those lines as well that's

right when Senator sessions says that he

met with the ambassador in seminar

office in September but he did it as a

senator not as a trump surrogate and he

did it as a member of the senate armed

services committee and for no other

reason is it not possible that that's

true

absolutely that's possible in fact if

senator sessions while under oath that

simply said yes I met with Ambassador

Kissel acted on this day at this time or

in this general time friend and we

discuss a B and C this is a part of my

normal senatorial responsibilities and

just left it at that there may have been

some follow-up questions

some people may have been concerned

given sessions roll with the Trump

campaign but it would have been within

the norms of regular senatorial

activities that

the problem is is that sessions on more

than one occasion refused to reveal the

truth and I think part of the problem

here is that now we find ourselves in a

situation the situation where we're

parsing his words parsing the words of

others but this was not some obscure

issue Russian or Trump campaign

relations with the Russian government is

perhaps the issue of the year so far

away and it's unimaginable that Senator

sessions would enter that that interview

with the panel in the Senate and not

know that that question would come up

and then forget for example that he met

with with the ambassador and he keeps

parking keep saying things i never met

with any Russian to discuss the campaign

well maybe he did to discuss the lifting

of sanctions but that wouldn't qualify

well it's hard to imagine that in the

contact in that time frame when he met

ambassador kiss back in his office that

the campaign didn't come up how could it

not everyone was in south and that

absolutely and that would have been ups

of supreme importance to the Russian

ambassador as well as the senator

sessions and two it's hard to believe

that that the campaign would not have

come up

it's a bit of a problem if it did come

up because senator sessions was engaged

in campaign activities and so he's going

to discuss campaign activities that

should happen off campus that should not

happen in the Capitol building in his

official capacity so that's a problem to

that is separate from espionage and that

maybe also what he's trying to protect

but then you have sort of the the

question of whether the Trump campaign

was complicit or knowledgeable in the

Russians attack on our democracy during

the election the biggest issue here

though is Jake that Senator sessions i

did not tell the truth while under oath

and I will not accept that he simply

didn't believe that's what he was being

asked or that he forgot i think this

this is served

erode America's Americans confidence in

our leaders I think we have a big

problem with that and I think it's time

to call a spade a spade and say that

Senator sessions lied and I think he

should be held accountable for some

reason i do think you should resign

do you think that the Republicans and

Senate and senators Republican House and

Senate and used to be a Republican House

Ansah are taking this Russia's thing

this Russian controversy seriously

enough to think the House and Senate

Intelligence Committee investigations

are sufficient at this point i do not

think there is sufficient

I think the Republican leaders in

Congress understand this is a very very

serious issue but they're faced with

dealing with this issue and their desire

to minimize the political consequences

of of this of this terrible situation

and at the same time advance some policy

goals that they've had for a long long

time that they view is very very

important so they're caught between a

rock in many hard places but the simple

fact in my mind is that we must first

protect our democracy and it is under

attack now is democracies in Europe are

behind the Russian government and we've

got to make sure that there is

accountability for what happened during

the election and we have got to know the

truth about whether the Trump campaign

was knowledgeable of these attacks

whether they were complicit

we've got to know the truth behind us

and no i don't think the Senate

investigation the Senate and the House

Intel committee investigations are

sufficient

The AI Poker Champions - Duration: 4:56.

There are all kinds of games that computers are better at than humans these days.

Chess.

Jeopardy.

Go.

An artificial intelligence, or AI, is a computer system designed to solve the problems you'd

normally expect to need a human brain to solve.

And the latest advance?

AIs are getting real good at beating humans at poker.

I'm Stefan Chin.

And you might recognize me from my riveting performance on the SciShow Quiz Show.

And today I'm here to tell you about how artificial intelligence is taking over the

world.

In January, an AI called Libratus beat 4 expert human players after playing about 120,000

games of poker.

And in a paper published yesterday in the journal Science, a separate research group

announced that their AI, called DeepStack, beat 10 out of 11 expert human players after

playing about 45,000 games.

Both AIs played a version of poker known as Texas Hold 'em, where each player gets two

facedown cards that only they are allowed to look at.

There are also five face-up cards that everyone can see, and three rounds of betting.

Most of the games that AIs have conquered so far, like the strategy game Go, are what

are known as perfect-information games, meaning that all the players have the same information

about the game.

For example: in chess or Go, both players can see all the pieces on the board, so they're

making decisions based on the same information.

But Texas Hold 'em is an imperfect-information game.

Since players can't see each other's face-down cards, they don't all have the same information.

That makes things much more complicated, because you have to make guesses about the other player's

hand.

Like, say your opponent raises the bet.

Is that because they actually have great cards?

Or are they bluffing because they think you're bluffing?

And do they think you're bluffing because in the last round of bets you thought they

were bluffing?

Those kinds of brain-bendy questions come up in imperfect-information games all the

time, and these two new AIs each used different techniques to figure out the most likely answers.

They both only played against one opponent per game, which helped because the more players

there are, the more ways the game can play out.

But they also both played the no-limit version of Texas Hold 'em, meaning that the players

could bet however much they wanted.

And that made things harder, because when you can bet whatever you want, the results

of each round affect the way you bet in the later rounds, so the game has way more possible

outcomes.

Specifically, there were 10^160 possible outcomes for each game.

That's a 1 with 160 zeroes after it.

It's a number so big, that there's no way even the most powerful computer could

actually consider all of those possibilities.

For the Libratus AI that won against 4 people in January, researchers first had it play

literally trillions of games against itself.

They programmed it to learn from those games so it could work out the best strategies in

different situations, based on how the rest of the game would play out.

Then, they unleashed Libratus on the four human players in a massive tournament that

lasted 20 days.

At first, the human players found some weaknesses in the AI's gameplay, and for the first

six days or so, they weren't losing too badly.

But the researchers also designed the AI to learn from its games against the human players.

So every night, it would refine its strategies before the next day's games.

And around the seventh day, the AI started beating the humans by a wider and wider margin.

By the end of the tournament, it had won more than $1.2 million.

On the other hand, the researchers behind the DeepStack AI, designed it to use neural

networks.

Neural networks involve layers of processors working together to solve a problem, with

each layer using the results of the other layers in its calculations.

It's a strategy that's modeled after the way brains work, and it's being used in

some of the most advanced AIs in the world.

Like Libratus, DeepStack trained itself by studying random games — although it only

looked at about 11 million of them.

But Deepstack wasn't designed to consider how a move would affect the whole rest of

the game before deciding on a strategy.

Instead, it looked at how different decisions would affect only the next few moves, then

used what it had learned about the game to calculate whether those next moves brought

it closer to winning.

So DeepStack tries to forecast how the next part of the game might go, without trying

to predict the whole thing.

And when the researchers had DeepStack play against 11 expert human Texas Hold 'em players,

it outperformed 10 of them across thousands of games.

So even though Libratus and Deepstack were designed very differently, both AIs mastered

a complicated, imperfect-information game.

And now there's one more thing that computers are better at than humans.

But this is a big step toward some broader advancements, too.

There are lots of real-world situations where you have to make decisions even though you're

missing some information, just like in Texas Hold 'em.

And the success of these two AIs means we're on our way to creating systems that can analyze

those kinds of problems better than a human can.

For things like deciding on the best treatment for a disease, that's an awesome plus.

And these AIs could also be useful for things like stock trading and diplomacy.

One thing's for sure, though: the future is gonna have some amazing AI poker players.

And I for one welcome our new robot overlords.
