A month ago I reviewed the Zhiyun Smooth Q which is a great cheap gimbal for your phone

but for more professional work this is the Zhiyun Crane Version 2 the bigger brother

designed for mirrorless or light dslr cameras like my Panasonic G7.

Gimbals are great for bringing perspective to a location, Chasing a subject on the move,

or just trying to be creative by adding some motion.

Hi I'm David and this is the Zhiyun Crane Version 2

So just a disclaimer, I'm still learning how to properly use this gimbal but even still

I'm pretty amazed at the result I'm able to get on my first couple tries testing this

gimbal out on my Panasonic G7.

Walking up a hill, walking backwards, evening running I'm actually really surprised how

steady the footage came out, but there are still some bumps and shakes that will require

me to practice some better technique in the future.

This being the version 2 of the Zhiyun Crane let's look at what's new versus the original.

The joystick button is larger and the buttons have been repositioned on a shorter handle,

the v2 only uses the larger 26500 mAh (vs 18650) batteries with only 2 included in the

box, the thread at the bottom has a removable adapter to support either 1/4-20 or a 3/8

inch screw, and the adjusting the camera balance is quicker with the moveable mounting plate.

But as far as I'm aware the motors and overall performance between the two should be exactly

the same, so there isn't a huge reason to upgrade from the V1 if you already have it

but I recommend the newer version if you're looking to get one.

On the topic of performance not only does it work really well but it's actually really

simple to use.

I'm not going to cover how to balance the gimbal because there are already dozens of

other great guides that show this.

But for me after a bit of practice it only takes me about 2 minutes to balance a camera

from scratch, or much less if I'm using the same equipment each time, and is pretty

much instant if I use a quick release plate.

Something else to keep in mind, some body and lens combos might not balance perfectly

out of the box.

For example if I use my Panasonic G7 with the kit lens and no additional accessories

the lens is way too light compared to the body so even if I push the mounting plate

all the way front, it still tilts towards the back.

If you run into this same issue, adding additional lens accessories or using an adapter to shift

the balance forward will help but even if you can't get it perfect, on my lighter

G7 setup the motor are perfectly capable to counteract the imbalance.

But it will use more battery if you run it like this so isn't ideal if you can avoid

it.

The operation of the Zhiyun Crane can be a little confusing at first but it is quick

to get used to after a little practice By default you're in the pan follow mode where

tilt and roll rotations are locked and the gimbal will smoothly follow your pan rotation.

And the joystick can be used to adjust the tilt.

I like using this mode most of the time, especially if I'm just walking and following someone

around.

Clicking the mode button once switches to full locked mode so tilt, roll and pan are

all locked.

And you can use the joystick to adjust pan and tilt.

This is my preferred mode if I'm running alongside a subject, or want to get that perfect

jib crane movement.

Clicking the mode button twice switches me to Pan and Tilt follow mode, so the camera

follows wherever you point it and the joystick just controls the roll axis.

I don't use this mode as much but it's a nice mode for more casual video shooting

where you just need to easily direct the camera in any direction without the use of the joystick.

And finally triple clicking the mode button swings it around for the selfie mode.

I also really like using this gimbal in inverted mode for lower ground shots.

Switching between normal and inverted mode on smaller cameras is as easy as rotating

the handle around the side.

But on larger cameras like the GH5 the arm brackets will hit if you try to do this.

So instead you'll need to move the screen out of the way and force the rotation on the

other side.

Not as easy as it is on my G7 but still fairly quick to switch.

The battery life is also really good and is quoted to last up to 12 hours of use, and

while I haven't used it that long on a single charge I've never really been worried about

running out of battery on a day of shooting so far with my testing.

Something else to note, this micro usb port on the gimbal is only for firmware update

and this one is only for the extra camera control cable that isn't included in the

box.

So you can't power or charge the battery while inside the gimbal.

Build quality is another good thing with this device.

It's pretty much metal build construction everywhere and you can definitely feel it

in the weight.

At just under 1.1kg (~2.4lbs) for just the gimbal plus whatever your camera you're

using (supported 1.8kg/3.9lbs max) it's no light weight but is manageable for a day

of shooting.

And finally quickly looking at the app on my Android phone.

From here you can control your gimbal wirelessly but what I really like about this app is the

ease to make adjustments to the gimbal motors.

I like my pans and tilts to be a little smoother, and for them to move slower to minimize my

accidental movements.

This is super easy to change in the app and allows me to continue to tweak and find the

perfect settings.

So that's the Zhiyun Crane Version 2 Gimbal designed for mirrorless cameras and smaller

dslrs.

I'm still learning how to get the most out of it but overall I'm really pleased with

the ease of use, performance and I'm excited to see what other shots I can dream up using

the gimbal.

Go Vegan to End Animal Abuse - Duration: 4:00.

Hey everyone, so I thought I'd break the ice on video-making with a simple one.

As many have seen, images on social media of the Yulin Dog Festival.

Images of terrified faces and unimaginable abuses on animals, both cats and dogs.

Not related to the Yulin Dog Festival but I came across a video on my newsfeed of animal

abuse which was more vile than I've ever seen in my entire life.

I won't go into details but it still haunts me.

The combination of these abusive videos among others has led me to start thinking, why is

animal abuse going on.

I came to the obvious conclusion that it is exists because of our culture of violence

based around our food.

Because this kind of violence would not exist in a vegan community.

They do exist in omnivore communities because omnivores for their food promote and accept

the domination and destruction of non-human beings.

While an animal abuser gains pleasures from the sight, touch, sounds, smells, and thoughts

of their abuse and its results.

The omnivore gains pleasures from those same exact areas with the addition of taste from

the results of suffering and abuse.

For ideas on what I mean, think about the sight of steak and the sound of bacon sizzling

and then compare that to the sight of a wounded animal and the sound of its cries.

So both are animal abusers because both gain pleasure derived from the abuse and suffering

of innocent animals.

The difference is one source of pleasure masks the abuse, which makes it more appealing to

the masses.

While the other source of pleasure conducts the abuse first-hand.

However, the results are the same.

Innocent beings that want to be free and happy, are instead suffering and dying for the sake

of temporary pleasure.

Omnivores become very inconsistent, because most would find animal abuse disgusting yet

once it's out of sight and out of mind, they're more than willing to support tremendous amounts

of violence.

Before you go on saying that it's necessary for your nutrition and survival.

It's not.

You're lying to yourself.

Your false beliefs are directly contributing to terrible pain.

Not only can you gain taste pleasures from a plant-based diet, but you'd also avoid the

myriad of dietary diseases that go along with animal product consumption.

So no longer does an animal have to hurt or cry for temporary mouth pleasures.

To do so in a society that offers many alternatives, makes one an animal abuser.

So next time you come across the overt animal abuse that you disagree with, know that it

exists and is perpetuated because of the culture of violence based on unnecessary foods.

So this is my plea to think about what you're eating, to end animal abuse and to try and

promote a better world for all of us.

Poll Shows Majority Don't Know Trumpcare Cuts Medicaid – This Is Why Republicans Win - Duration: 3:45.

According to a new Kaiser Family Foundation poll released this past Friday, only 38 percent

of American citizens understand that the House version of the American Healthcare Act, cut

Medicaid by 800 billion dollars.

Only 38 percent of people in this country knew that the Republican Healthcare plan included

cuts to Medicaid.

This poll actually tells us a little less about healthcare, than it does about how in

the hell Republicans keep winning elections.

I have long said that if Americans citizens actually paid attention, if they did a little

bit of reading, a little bit of research, nobody in this country would ever vote for

a Republican again.

At least nobody in the 99 percent.

That's what this poll proves.

That shows us why Republicans are able to win elections.

Because people aren't paying attention!

People don't seem to understand what these Republicans are doing.

Yeah, I know they've got a negative approval rating, and people like to go on Facebook

and Twitter and complain about Republicans.

But clearly, as this poll tells us, at the end of the day, they don't fully understand

what's happening either way.

It's not good enough to just be anti-Republican, folks.

You have to understand why Republicans are bad for the working class.

Why Republicans are bad for the underclass.

Why Republicans are bad for the environment, and for Wall Street, and for the energy sector.

They're poison for everything.

But if you don't understand why, then that's not helping.

How are you going to win an argument with a conservative friend, if you don't educate

yourself about what these Republicans are doing?

How are you going to convince other people that conservatism is wrong and has failed

when put in practice, if you don't know your history?

I know a lot of people, obviously, watching this video, understand the things I'm talking

about.

But we have to do more.

That's what this poll's telling us.

It's less about people knowing that there's cuts to Medicaid, and more of an indicator

that we aren't doing enough.

The Democratic Party isn't doing enough to educate people about the damage that Republicans

are doing.

At the end of the day, the Democratic Party is the only one that can afford to take out

ads on television and explain these things.

But they're not.

I can't afford to do that.

I'm pretty sure most people watching this video can't afford to do that.

But the Democratic Party could, and they're not, so they fail.

So that's where we come in.

We may not have as much reach as an ad running on, say, prime time in New York City, but

we all have to do our part to continue educating everyone until that 38 percent number reaches

100 percent.

Then we start educating on the next issue, and the next, and the next.

If we don't do that, Democrats do not stand a chance in any future elections.

Mysteries, Countdowns & the Doomfist Leak (Diablo 3 & Overwatch News) - Duration: 12:09.

hey folks this is rhykker with a news wrap-up video on what's been going on in

the worlds of Diablo and overwatch over the past week we'll start with Diablo so

if you're here for overwatch we're going to put up here the time signature to go

to to skip to if you just want to go straight to the overwatch content and

we'll note that I'll put links in the description below to any relevant videos

and stories to learn more about what we're covering so kicking things off

with Diablo the necromancer pack obviously released this week you know

just in case my millions and millions of videos and livestreams didn't tip you

off with the pack also came patch 2.6 these are all available now across all

regions and PC ps4 and Xbox one now on the launch night those're did something

a little special and they started hyping it 24 hours

before the event so it was 8 p.m. on Monday night when the Diablo official

twitch channel went live and on the footage we saw a countdown ticking down

for 24 hours in other words all the way to Wednesday at 8 p.m.

apart from the timer what we were seeing was footage of this right here some

creepy murder basement with a grungy chair Cavalia I want to play a game

speculation started almost immediately what was this countdown for was there

going to be some big announcement at the end of the 24 hours

could it be Diablo 4 no no that didn't make any sense the necromancy pack was

finally launching hours before the timer would end and would it make sense for

Blizzard to undercut the launch of the necromancer with of Diablo 4 reveal they

wouldn't want to do anything that pulled spotlight away from the necromancer so

after some digging we realized that the countdown was for a special stream event

internet famous person Jessica Chobot will be live streaming some necromancer

gameplay from a real real haunted house why I don't know

Diablo isn't a horror game but made for a nice publicity stunt and hopefully it

brought more awareness to the necromancer pack Chobot hadn't played

Diablo since I believe 2013 is what she said so she represented an important

demographic former Diablo 3 players that might be interested in returning to the

game jiya blows senior devel paren all around that ass Travis day

join Jessica via the Internet's for a few hours but Chobot ultimately streamed

the campaign up until 6 a.m. intermittently taking trips around the

haunted house to try and coax a ghost into doing something the cameras set up

they had for the whole event was fantastic I loved the streaming camera

setup they had like over-the-shoulder views they would swap cut it was all

very professional and as they would go through the house it was very

reminiscent of every terrible found footage film released since the Blair

Witch Project now well I don't believe we got to

witness any spooky happenings Jessica seemed to stand firmly by the belief

that something struck or touched in some way the back of her head and she

developed a very real headache after that I personally think the headache was

more likely to have been induced by the clearly uncomfortable headset she was

wearing but that's just my armchair diagnosis on to our next story I'd like

to highlight an insightful Theory raised by reddit user judge you later

concerning the new realms of fate added into patch 2.6 the lore behind these

regions is as follows the high heavens are still reeling from the events of the

Prime Evils assault the Archangel of fate ethereal

has discovered a curious development in the far corners of his sanctified

libraries the tomes and history stored within his libraries are changing the

heavens themselves transforming into small pockets reflecting the past

present and potential futures that's a lot of flow sub sounds the no one can

make sense of why this has occurred it still poses a threat to sanctuary so jug

you later points us towards the prophecy of the end of days as recited and

recorded by Deckard Cain this is something that were made aware of at the

start of Diablo 3 the prophecy is and at the end of days wisdom shall be lost as

justice falls upon the world of men valor shall turn to wrath and all hope

will be swallowed by despair death at last shall spread its wings over all as

fate lies shattered forever now it seems that every line in this prophecy

reflects something that has happened in the story of Diablo 3 or

prior starting with the first line wisdom shall be lust malthael was the

archangel of wisdom and he left the NGS council the council of angels after the

events of diablo 2 so this is before the start of diablo 3 next line justice

falls upon the world of men Tyrael is the archangel of justice and

in diablo 3 the start of the story has Tyrael as a falling star plummeting to

the world valor shell turn to wrath Imperius is the archangel of valor and

throughout diablo 3 seems pretty upset or wrathful towards the Nephilim next

line and all hope will be swallowed by despair in diablo 3 oriole the archangel

of hope is captured by rackin oz the Lord of despair and we have to free her

then we have death at last shall spread its wings overall mal feel returned as

the aspect of death now Rin Reaper of souls expansion as fate lies shattered

forever so so far every line of this poem has correspond to one of the

Archangels and each line correlates directly to something in the story of

Diablo 3 or the pre story of Diablo 3 this last line is the only one that has

yet to be covered by the story now we know that at some point two expansions

were planned for Diablo 3 so could this line have been meant to have been

resolved in the second expansion are we instead now getting it resolved in the

realms of fate or some future content these regions do appear to be shattered

remnants of fate pieced together definitely food for thought and lastly

for Diablo news I want to cover two videos one here is for the curse of

Tristram which we've discussed before this is a Diablo 2 remake being made by

a modder in Starcraft 2 the creator released a new video showcasing every

act all 5 acts of Diablo 2 and the beta for his mod will start this summer in

the battlenet arcade which I believe is freely available to everyone check the

description below for more details and links and the last video I want to bring

up was just a great funny video that you all should watch carbot animations who

creates plenty cartoons for Blizzard games has finally graced the Diablo

franchise with one of his cartoons and it's all about the release of the

necromancer it's short it's funny check it out you'll like it link in the

description ok on to overwatch news so the big thing that happened last week

was what could be considered a doom fist week if you're somehow out of the loop

on this here's what happened basically if you were on the public test server

trying out the upcoming build if your game crashed you can find something

interesting in the crash log the log revealed that the internal name for the

building tested was one point thirteen point zero point zero doom fist slash

summer games whoops now we've had hoaxes in the past and we continue to have

hoaxes so people went about trying to corroborate this after the first person

reported it and soon enough people were crashing their game and posting their

crash logs also revealing that doom fist slash Summer Games title some people

even looked into the game coat itself and found the same title in there and at

least one person even recorded footage of himself opening the file to show the

doom fist title and prove that it wasn't faked so what happened after that a

patch went out pretty quickly and removed the doom fist Summer Games

reference we're now only left with version 1.13 point zero point zero to

pile on to this some people pointed out that a new hero has come out every for

major version so Ana came out in version 1.1 but then after that it was every for

version so 1.5 came Sombra and orissa came with 1.9 so one point 13 would be

on track for a new hero data miners also dug into the files and

found evidence that heavily suggests that there is a new encrypted hero in

levels in overwatch Jeff says while we might add more water and swimming at

some point we made a very conscious decision to avoid water gameplay for a

few reasons the main reason is that we rarely found swimming gameplay fun in

other shooters while the immersion is great the actual moment-to-moment

gameplay is usually underwhelming if not gimmicky he went on to explain that it

would be a huge job for the animators to have to make swimming animations for all

the characters any close by saying so while conceptually we think swimming

is cool and add to the immersion and fantasy of being in a cool game world

the practical reality of it has made us hold off for now maybe in the future now

French baguette controller to play Widowmaker yes he attached an Arduino

micro controller to a loaf of bread making use of push buttons a thumb stick
