Death Valley Corn: The Journey - Chase [ADA] - Duration: 2:46.
Chase for Business presents: Making Death Valley Corn.
Snack food business, Pipcorn, founders
and Chase for Business Customers Jeff, Jen, and Teresa
drive their small truck into the searing heat of Death Valley.
Jen drives the Pipcorn truck
through desolate, parched terrain.
A hawk flies over craggy mountains.
Jeff:
Jeff: I mean, coming out here and not knowing what to expect,
we were really kind of just... taking a risk.
Getting out of the office is tough.
Looking out at the open road, Jen:
Jen: As a small business, this was our big initiative,
to come out here and try this.
So, let's cross our fingers.
The truck pulls off to the side.
Jeff: The temperature gauge just kept
ticking, ticking, ticking, ticking so here we are.
The truck broke down!
Teresa:
Teresa: Jeff was driving!
Jeff: We have this plan to go to the hottest place on earth,
harness the energy from the sun, and develop something new.
They set up a solar dish
and begin the process of popping popcorn.
We thought we had the right equipment.
We quickly realized we needed more.
The Chase Mobile App changed the game for us.
We were able to send a wire transfer to a local vendor
and get more solar cookers delivered...
Right here in Death Valley.
The Chase Mobile App,
which they use to get three more disc-shaped solar panels with
frying pans connected sent by a delivery truck to the desert.
The solar dishes aim toward the blazing desert sun.
In a frying pan, tiny kernels sizzle in oil.
Jen: Yeah!
The kernels pop, in a dramatic slow-motion effect.
Teresa: We can make so much Death Valley Corn!
They walk through
a stark, white landscape.
Jen: We saw amazing salt flats today.
Jeff: Could be a really good seasoning.
Jen:
Jen: And mesquite, that could be really, really cool.
A fire pit glows orange as the sun sets.
Jeff: I've got it...
Go ahead and try it.
Jen: Because it's so hard to leave the office,
it's been really nice to be able to come out here
and get inspiration.
We've miss that!
They leave the desert and come to town.
Where people sample the pipcorn.
Jen: Is it enough mesquite, does it need more?
It's just right.
All right!
Jeff: All popped by the heat of the sun.
Woman: It's a little bit sweet.
Teresa: Is there one that was your favorite?
Man: I think they blend really well together.
Mmmm...
Jeff: The beauty of the app is you can do what you want to do.
You can make the rules and you can get it done
and you can be proud of it.

Weeaboo in a bouncy castle - Duration: 9:41.
Alright. It's weekend
This weekend Kawacon is at Norssi!
I'm there helping at the DDR point
I figured it's time to bust out the costume I have closest to a cosplay.
Those were my well trained cosplay moves.
If you recognize my costume that's great. If you don't I don't blame you.
This isn't THAT good. I've got wrong hair and all.
But this came kinda fast.
I'm at Kawacon. Hello World!
My costume is falling apart. I haven't maintained it so that's on me.
We're here at DDR classroom and I've got my sweet nametag
And Sweabå is umm -
A thing we're we speak Japanese and Swedish
It's way more fun without over analyzing. Believe me!
I'll continue here.
Bouncy castle!
I got permission to go to the bouncy castle.
Best day ever!
[winded up] Dancing is fun
Back again.
Got some food. My buddy is keeping the DDR class so he cannot leave. I'm saving him.
Kawacon - Day two and -
Silence you.
My ride is coming in 3 minutes because I'm still without a car and I'm lazy.
Still the same costume partly because I noticed how light this is -
There's no AC and it's hot so I'm working around it.
I still have couple of hours of DDR to dance.
Before going back to normal.
These few weeks at the new appartment have been weird.
I've noticed that everything feels like performing. It's hard to chill at an empty appartment so I haven't been doing chilling.
I cannot really host any friends because I have no seats
No point in this. Just pointing out that it's weird.
I'll try to also report when I start having stuff in here that does it still feel like performing.
It's 10pm and it's Sunday. So work is tomorrow. Now it's time for evening snack and evening youtube.
I didn't actually fall asleep. That was a goof.
Now we're talking.
Now our stove has joined the current millenium
Previous one was from the 70's. This is way more fresh.
Todaaay everything is better again.
There's that. That's overflowing.
But - I have a washing machine!
It's currently running its first rage-program
Crazy 3 hour program is required at first.
Step by step this is moving towards "Home"-status
This part is still an echo chamber
This week is a scrapbook.
I'll try better when I have my car. Lets blame that. It's still being fixed. It's Tuesday.
While mixing my food I noticed that I've started thinking how to make "normal" youtube videos.
Finding a way it would fit my style.
Scripted videos with a theme
They say that vlogging is a lazy format because you just are. Specially my style.
I don't do that much staging. I just talk about things I'm doing.
Mixing food got me thinking about "Day in my life"-video but that would be so much coding.
It should be during an exciting day.
Last weeks travel vlog was pretty close to that.
Those two days of traveling.
I'm planning those too so once I get a shooting spot.
Apparently my kitchen echoes too. I came here to escape the echo.
I'm planning on doing normal videos. Then you get to comment if they are any good.
That might mean two videos per week.
That's still long way to go. I might try it at times.
Thursday might be a good publish date.
It wouldn't be like this. Stay tuned for that!
I have a new spot to show the time.
Today I wasn't late because of work. Not directly.
We built a gaming PC for Oona.
She ordered one and I got the honors of putting it together.
It had a window so I had to be extra careful to make it look nice that I can say that I built it
Now Oona can do some proper gaming. We even made an Instagram post!
It's important that -
- to keep up good work morale. Some get that from gaming.
Now I'm going home and I got some shots from the office. Nothing has changed.
Here again - In my car.
I got my car back. And I'm glad.
First thing I might do is go to Prisma. Because I can.
It's best to do things when you can.
It's funny how you miss some things when you cannot do 'em.
Thanks Jake for fixing my car.
It's better than ever.
While editing this week I noticed that -
There was no beginning, middle or an end.
Big reason being the publishing of pprek. Bike register was published this week.
Finalizing it was important so I put my focus into that.
I negleted you all.
I'm so sorry this week was such a scrapbook.
Next week I'll do better. We're going to Ikea on Monday.
Maybe we'll get rid of the echo.
Now I have a *intense sound effects*
Savon Kinot bill that gives me pass to a movie.
I'll go and see sbiderman, because -
It's Marvel so I trust it to be good.
Next week I'll do better. Atleast I'll try.
I'll compensate this week and -
