Today we Got the Mavic Pro

we gonna open it together

Part 6 - Macedonia, Bulgaria & Greece

Now we are in Macedonia

Hello from Skopje

We just looked around in the city

Now we are in a hostel

Found a cheap one

10€ per night for both uf us In one bed

Exactly, one bed and this it is

We'll sort our stuff now

And then we go out in the city again

We are in Skpoje

And we are fascinated

Unbelievable amount auf statues, sculptures...

...magnificently things

Art and music...

Unbelievable nice and diverse

Get here if you have the chance!

We just went back to the hostel

We met some cyclists on...

Well on a big square

And we asked what's going on

And there is a Critical mass now!

So thats a group of cyclists

In this case about 50 people

Who make a cycling tour through the city

To rise awareness

That cylists are part of the traffic

This happens in many cities, worldwide!

Also in Germany. In Hamburg we did join them too!

And now by coincidence

We'll join them in Skopje

We pack some stuff and grab our bikes now

And then we join the Critical mass in Skopje

Good morning from Kumanovo

We just left our Warmshowers host

We had a great evening

Now we go to Kriva... Kriva Polanka!

Almost at the border to Bulgaria

We have to scratch the ice off

Morning

Today was the first night in the tent for a longer time

It was quite cold

About -3 or -4 °C

Some things freezed

We prepared a bag with things that shouldn't freeze

Medicine

What else? The waterfilter

And yeah, medicine and the waterfilter

But also other things freezed

The wet wipes, the sponge

And the water a bit, but it's okay

Now we pack our stuff

It's the last day in macedonia

It was very nice

Even though it was a short stay

4 days? Yes

We had a great time in Skopje

The capital city - Very interesting city!

Yesterday in Kumanovo

We had a great evening with our warmshowers hosts

And their daughter

So now we move on to the border of Bulgaria

In the next city we'll do some grocery shopping

Spend the last money we have

Then to the border and to Bulgaria!

We are in Bulgaria!

So in Macedonia

The last km were uphill

The border is on a mountain on about 1100m

Now we have a nice downhill ride to the next city

There we have a couchsurfing host

There we go now, it's about 20km

We got here because another couchsurfer took us here

Because at his place was no space for us

Because he is renovating. So this is a friend of him

We had a great evening with him. We had some shots...!

We are still drunk

But we also had a great talk!

He also did a worldbicycletour!

For 5 years and in 64 countries!

More or less exactly what we've planned!

That was awesome!

He told us great stories

Of his adventures and showed us his pictures

This is our second invitation for an overnight stay

Olga wanted some water from him

And then he invited us!

He couldn't believe that we are travelling by bike

So he came out to see us and the bikes

Now we had a quick talk on russian

He speaks some russian

He offered us vodka, cola and cigarettes

He is outdoors now, meeting some friends

And he will be back later

Then i assume we'll chat and have some vodka!

We had a great evening with Stanislav

We got invited to have dinner with him and his friends

It was St. Nicholas' Day

There they traditionally have fish

We said we don't eat fish and they said come with us and have potatoes!

That's what we did!

It was great, a funny evening!

Today he prepared us a lovely breakfast

Very nice. A very friendly person

He gave me working gloves

Which i can put over my normal gloves

Because it's so cold now and he was worried about us

I have my own creation!

Socks and a plastic bag over my gloves

Works very good

Now we had a flat tire at Olgas backwheel

But we could fix it quite fast

Meanwhile we know how to do it

Now 10km more, and there should be a hot spring

We wanna take a bath there!

Is it good?

That was awesome!

Now we move on

Good evening, we are in Plovdiv now

We just were at our couchsurfing host

And went with him and a friend in the city

They showed us around

Now we walk through the oldtown

Beautiful, we'll look around

At 7 P.M we'll meet again

Thats in 2 hours

Go back to his home

And have dinner together

We are at the Billa

Did some grocery shopping

Now we move on and leave the city

To the east, to Greece!

We found a great campingspot

Our last day in Bulgaria starts

I think it's about 30, or?

28 28km to the border!

Bulgaria was great, i think we were 6 days here, or?

6 days it was amazing

Weather was also good. Some chilly days

But we had good equipment

The people were very friendly

We got invited by Stanislav to sleep in his house

That was a cool evening

Two times couchsurfing was also nice

Wolodia

Who also cycled around the world

And at Krum in Plovdiv

Very cool

It was a great time in Bulgaria We enjoyed it

Now to Greece!

Done for today, it was quite a funny day

First we met a funny group of cyclists from Turkey

Then we cycled through the river

We almost got wet

And itˋs incredible

How fast the landscapes change

Here is now so much cotton

And it's everywhere, looks nice!

Now we have here a great campingspot

Sun is already set

We are in the wilderness

Looks good, here we'll pitch up the tent

We just had breakfast and packed some stuff

But we chill a bit now

Because it's raining

So we said...

We make an easy day

Because we plan to stay a bit longer...

...in Greece. Two more days.

And it's only 70km to the border

So we can relax and hope that the rain will stop

Next town is in 10km and we want to go there

And then we got invited for a coffee

She was from Armenia and he was a greek

And they both spoke russian

That was nice and Olga could chat with them

Very nice, coffee and fruits

We hoped a bit that they will invite us for the night

It's our last night in Greece

Tomorrow we are in Turkey

Also a short stay here

But it was great and we meet nice people

Yesterday we got invited in a café

Had a nice talk

Today again invited for coffee

Very nice!

But it's pretty chilly here

In summertime it's maybe even better here

Just as cold as the winter 1991

Also Turkey should be cold!

Woman found with 27 contact lenses lodged in one eye - Duration: 3:32.

A woman was found with 27 contact lenses lodged in her eye.

However she was unaware they were there until the lenses were discovered by a trainee ophthalmologist.

Seventeen lenses were found by Rupal Morjaria, who noticed what he described as a "blueish mass", the Mirror reported.

She then found another 10 lenses on a second inspection,

"None of us have ever seen this before," Ms Morjaria told Optometry Today,

"It was such a large mass. All the 17 contact lenses were stuck together.

We were really surprised that the patient didn't notice it because it would cause quite a lot of irritation while it was sitting there."

The woman had been due to have cataract surgery, but it was postponed after the discovery.

She had been wearing monthly disposable lenses for 35 years but had neither reported any problems or had regular optometrist appointments.

"In this day and age, when it is so easy to purchase contact lenses online, people become lax about having regular check ups," she added.

"Contact lenses are used all the time,

but if they are not appropriately monitored we see people with serious eye infections that can cause them to lose their sight."

DIY Frozen yoghurt – matcha ice cream/DIY Froyo Matcha Eis - Duration: 6:54.

Hello, it's nice that you tuned into thuskochtour again.

The last few summer days have been very hot and that's why I want to show you this refreshing dessert: „Frozen yoghurt – matcha ice cream!"

I will make the ice cream cone in a vietnamese style „Banh Kep".

I will now show you what you will need:

You need: 250g yoghurt

200ml cream

25g white sugar

25g cane sugar

3tbsps water

3tsps matcha powder

First put the matcha powder into the water, stir until the powder is dissolved.

Put it aside and mix together the yoghurt, cream and sugar in another bowl until the sugar is dissolved and finally add the matcha water.

Then put the mixture into the ice machine and let it stir for approx. 15min.

If you don't have an ice machine you can take out the ice cream every 30 minutes and mix it.

Decant the ice cream and put it in the freezer for approx. 30min.

Now I will prepare the cones and therefore we need:

225g flour

225ml coconut milk

3 eggs

100g sugar

2tbsps rice flour

1tsp vanilla extract

First put the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract into a bowl and stir.

Then sieve the flour and rice flour into the mixture.

Add the coconut milk and normal milk in turns and mix it together.

Now put approx. 1tbsp of dough into the kitchen machine and let it bake.

Take out the cones and put it into a glass, put it in shape and let it cool down.

Finally add a ball of the frozen yoghurt matcha ice cream into the cone and decorate it with peppermint.

Now our delicious frozen yoghurt matcha ice cream in a sweet little cone „banh kep" is ready!
