Experiencing the Merciful Healer (Clip 3) // Bayless Conley - Duration: 2:46.

Get ready to discover answers in the Bible

with Bayless Conley

Mark 10, verse 46:

Now they came to Jericho.

As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the

son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.

And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of

David, have mercy on me!"

Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"

So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.

Then they called the blind man, saying to him, "Be of good cheer.

Rise, He is calling you."

And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.

So Jesus answered and said to him, "What do you want Me to do for you?"

The blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, that I may receive my sight."

Then Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well."

And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

Go your way; your faith has made you well.

This man had faith in the mercy of Jesus.

He had faith in the mercy of Jesus.

He knew that He was the Messiah.

He called Him Son of David.

He was a Jew.

Even though he was blind, he would have been aware of all of the verses that I just read

to you from the Book of Psalms about God being merciful and God being full of compassion.

This guy just would not shut up.

He cried out for mercy.

And I love it says, "Jesus stood still."

So you say, "Pastor, I feel like you are just trying to get our hopes up."

I am!

I confess guilty I am!

God delights in those who hope in His mercy.

Faith gives substance to things hoped for.

If you don't have hope, faith has nothing to give substance to.

I am trying to get your hopes up.

I'm trying to get you to believe.

I'm trying to get you to look to God, to believe that He is merciful; because, frankly,

He is.

More than you know!

Update Review 0.6.8 - Duration: 5:10.

Greetings, fellow Captains!

Today I will tell you about the features of Update 0.6.8:

a new operation, the second collection, quick messages, and many others.

Stay tuned!

Update 0.6.8

Update 0.6.8 kicks off with the first historical campaign,

based on the well-known events that took place at Dunkirk ] in May 1940.

Our bravest Captains are welcome to a briefing.

So, we're approaching the coast of France.

Allied troops are surrounded.

We must evacuate them and deliver them to a safe place.

Sounds easy? You wish!

Air raids, gunfire from the coast, and torpedo boats

make this so much more challenging.

But the true threats are the minefields.

Follow the map closely and don't try to sail through them. Good luck, Captains!

Fans of military history, get ready to gather a unique collection of 16 items.

You can extend your collection of trophies with British trucks,

a 210-mm German mortar, and other models from the time of Operation Dynamo.

You can earn them by completing special missions.

Complete the collection to receive a commemorative flag,

an honorable achievement, and British commander Jack Dunkirk.

He is peculiar for having three improved skills:

Jack of All Trades, Expert Marksman, and Smoke Screen Expert.

A decent gentleman for British ships.

And there's another nice bonus too.

Complete a chain of missions

and you'll get a special permanent camouflage for battleship Dunkirk!

How handy would it be if you could quickly ask an ally

to cover you with a smoke screen or anti-aircraft fire.

In Update 0.6.8, this can be done with just a couple of clicks.

Use new quick messages, coordinate your actions with allies,

and victory is just a matter of time!

Following player feedback, the coveted Supercontainer

was made more diverse and alluring.

Here's everything we added:

a few Premium ships, unique camouflages, and special, economic, and combat signals.

In addition, as you requested, we decreased the chance

of receiving a special upgrade and removed kits with credits

from the Supercontainer options.

By the way, special upgrades began to play out in fresh colors.

I hope you didn't sell them, as some of them were moved to more suitable slots.

Want to put an emphasis on survivability?

Easy!

Update 0.6.8 allows you to mount both

the Damage Control Party and Damage Control System upgrades.

Wish to improve your Hydroacoustic Search without sacrificing the anti-aircraft upgrade?

Now this is also possible.

Feel free to try different combinations to your liking!

The changes in Update 0.6.8 also affected destroyer Khabarovsk.

At long range, she is still the queen of primary armament.

As for torpedoes, the only choice now is the unique ET-46 model.

The detectability of these torpedoes was near enough halved;

now it's just 600 meters!

A small tweak was applied to cruiser Indianopolis.

It will be more convenient to play her:

the ship's detectability range was reduced by more than a kilometer,

and the range of her Surveillance Radar

became almost 10 km!

Soviet destroyers Ognevoi, Tashkent and Grozovoi

had their combat characteristics improved significantly.

For Ognevoi, it's reduced torpedo reload time;

Tashkent received more hit points;

and Grozovoi not only had her firing rate enhanced,

but also became on a par with other Tier X destroyers

in terms of concealment.

That's all for now. I'm Dasha Perova.

Complete a series of battle tasks and…

Commemorative flag, commemorative flag.

Jack Dunkirk

Jack Dunkirk

Can I try again?

Okay.

It wasn't there…

It's a story about a man who's come a long way to become an admiral

I-so-ru-ku

I-so-ru-ko

Can I say one more time?

I-so-ro-ku

Saying Jack Dunkirk was a lot easier!

My Letter to You. - Duration: 3:32.

Hey you.

Yeah, you.

Thanks for being here.

I have something I want to celebrate with you.

Action.

Action.

Now that I have your attention, I wanted to talk to you, all 100,000 of you, because what

I've realized is that without you, yeah, you, sitting there, watching me right now, without

you, nothing really matters.

We're not that different.

We're both human, we both have a heart and a brain, and we're both capable of whatever

we want, so how do you achieve the things that you've always dreamed of?

You start and you don't stop.

Period.

Whether you're after 100,000 subscribers or a million, building the business of your dreams,

being a pro athlete, winning an Oscar, or traveling the world, or even just a banging

beach body, I wrote you a little love letter so that you never forget that you can do this

and you will.

You will.

Dear you,

You hear that little voice in your head telling you you're meant for a life beyond your wildest

dreams?

Listen to it.

Listen to it.

Listen to it and believe it and then do everything in your power to achieve it.

Yes, it takes real work.

Any success story is built on hard work.

Don't believe anyone who tells you this journey is a walk in the park.

Your success depends on your ability to believe in yourself even when no one else believes

in you.

Trust me.

The people who doubt you or make fun of you in the beginning will soon be asking if you're

hiring.

When you fail, fail fast and get up faster.

Resiliency is what separates the champs from the chumps.

You are worthy of all of the wins.

You are worthy of achieving your dreams and being stupid happy.

Don't be afraid of success.

Be afraid of sitting on your deathbed knowing that you never even tried to get what you

really want.

Learn.

Learn everything you can about what you want to do.

Be a sponge.

We live in a world where everything is googleable, so start diving into what you want to do and

what you need to know in order to do it.

Whatever it may be, do it.

Educating yourself is the best investment you can make in your success.

Do it.

Push the needle one by one.

If one person is taking the time to listen to you, talk to you, cheer you on, don't take

that for granted.

Show gratitude to anyone who takes the time to show up for you by showing up for them.

Have faith.

It is all going to be okay.

As long as you follow your joy, there will be bumps in the road, but the universe, God,

whatever you want to call it, will steer you back on track.

Trust me on this one.

You are a boss.

You sitting there watching me right now, you are the CEO of your life, so you better start

acting like it, because nobody else cares about your joy, success, and happiness as

much as you do.

From one boss to another, go start and don't stop until you're proud.

Action.

Love,

Sunny.

Thành ngữ Việt Nam bằng tiếng Anh - Duration: 10:05.

Oh, I still remember Dan's video from a few weeks ago, the one where he was chatting with his wife.

Wow, they looked like such a happy couple—so affectionate, so harmonious.

Just like that saying: "Together, a harmonious husband and wife can empty the sea." (a Vietnamese idiom)

Hmm . . .

how would you say that in English?

No.

No.

No! No! No!

Don't bother trying to translate that idiom into English.

We don't have any sayings like that.

Really?

Yeah.

You go on back to bed and daydream some more about my old videos, okay?

Let me make a new one that'll help you out.

Yes, sir!

In this video I'm going to tell you guys about idioms, proverbs, and other sayings in Vietnamese

that have an equivalent in English.

These sayings were all recommended by fans of this channel,

so I think this video is going to be really interesting for you guys.

We're going to start with a few sayings that a lot of you might already know in English,

such as "standing on this mountain while watching the one in the distance."

In English, we say:

Imagine that you're standing in your yard,

and you take a look into the neighbor's yard.

You might think to yourself:

"Wow, the grass over there is so green!"

And when the neighbor looks into your yard, she might think:

"Oh, now that's some TRULY green grass over there!"

So, no matter which yard you're standing in:

For a realistic example, Vietnamese people often say to Americans:

If only I could go live in America.

Over there it's so modern and clean.

And then the Americans reply:

Yeah, but people over there live really isolated.

Living in Vietnam is so much more fun.

Next is a saying that compares outer appearances with the inner realities:

"better good wood than good paint"

In English, we say:

That saying is usually used with people or things that appear unattractive on the outside,

but may have great value on the inside.

And there's another saying with the opposite meaning:

What it means is that something may look beautiful and brilliant on the outside,

but on the inside there's nothing at all.

Next, we have:

You probably already know the saying "like father, like son."

It's a good, commonly used saying,

but English has got another saying that I like even more:

That sentence is usually used in a negative way,

when people feel that a young person can't give up the bad habits that they've learned from their parents.

Ah, speaking of trees reminds me of our next saying:

"one tree by itself can't raise anything,

three trees together can raise an entire mountain"

English has a saying that's not exactly the same, but pretty close:

It means that when two people think together about a problem—

"I don't understand any of this!"

—the chances of solving it are higher.

However, English and Vietnamese each have a saying that contradicts the message of the two we just looked at.

The Vietnamese saying is "lots of psychics, lots of ghosts,"

And the English one is:

. . . because everyone has their own opinion.

Add some fish.

Add some sprouts.

Add some pennywort.

Add some mushrooms.

Add some crushed rice.

Add some vinegar.

Add some beef.

Add some sausage.

Add some clams.

And in the end, you'll have a soup that no one in the world can stomach.

Next, I'm going to talk about a few more English sayings also related to cooking.

Vietnamese has the saying "avoiding a melon rind, and running into a coconut rind,"

and English has the saying:

Imagine that you're standing in a huge pan that's getting hot,

and you think to yourself:

"Oh, the heat here is killing me! I've gotta get outta here toot sweet!"

And then you hop on out . . .

and get burned up.

In trying to escape a bad situation, you find yourself in one that's much worse . . .

Our next saying is "the dog calling the cat furry."

In English, we say:

To understand this saying, you need to imagine pots and pans in the olden days,

when everything was used over an open fire.

So, the pot calling the kettle black is pretty ridiculous.

The pot appears in our next saying as well:

"one worm ruins the pot of soup."

In English, we say:

And we say it because, in reality, a rotten apple emits gases that will make all the apples around it rotten, too,

just the way one bad person in a group will cause the whole group to turn bad along with them.

In that situation, native speakers don't usually say the whole sentence

but instead just call that bad person "a bad apple."

And these "bad apples" often do something really nasty:

"eat the porridge and toss the bowl."

That saying in English is:

Next we're going to look at some sayings related to animals,

like "playing music into a buffalo's ear."

In English, we say:

Which, in a literal sense, means to throw pearls in front of a bunch of pigs.

And its figurative meaning is the same as the Vietnamese saying,

that is, to present something interesting and beautiful—particularly literature, music, or art—

to a subject who's too stupid or too uncultured to grasp the value of it.

Next, we have "the drop that made the cup overflow."

In English, we say:

In this saying, the "straw" isn't a drinking straw, but grass straw.

If you keep piling straw onto a camel's back,

eventually there will be a single piece that breaks it.

With this idiom, we don't usually say the whole sentence

but instead just say, "That's the last straw,"

when frustration has piled upon frustration to the point that you just can't take it anymore.

Oh, that poor broken-backed camel.

Camels are used for riding and for transporting goods, right?

And so are horses.

So let's look at the saying "horses with horses, buffalo with buffalo."

That saying in English is:

It has the same meaning as the Vietnamese saying,

but I find that it's usually used in a way that's . . .

more negative and sarcastic.

Kind of like:

We're going to finish there.

But before I turn off my camera, I've got two final things I want to say.

First is that the list of idioms in this video isn't exhaustive.

There are some more Vietnamese idioms with an equivalent in English.

Maybe someday I'll make a sequel to this video.

And the second thing I want to say is that . . .

it seems that on the internet there are some really long lists of English idioms in Vietnamese,

because a few people copy-pasted them in the comments.

However, I don't think they're very good.

For example, the saying "a miss is as good as a mile."

Maybe it's commonly used in other countries,

or maybe it was commonly used a century ago,

but I personally have never heard it.

Sounds plausible, but I've never heard it.

Never heard it.

I don't understand the meaning all that clearly, either.

Never heard it.

Never heard it.

I've never heard ANY of these!

So please don't believe this or that idiom is cool and commonly used in English-speaking countries

just because some goofy page like this—

or like this—

or like this wrote it.

Or copied it.

Sheesh, all the Vietnamese "study English" pages steal so much,

it's impossible to know who created it in the first place.

Oh, right, there's one more thing.

This video was brought to you with support from ELSA,

a mobile app that can provide you with detailed corrections of your English pronunciation.

See? It doesn't just tell you that you mispronounced it,

but also tells you where you pronounced it wrong,

and how close you are to being correct.

If you want to try it, then download it from Google Play or The App Store.

It's completely free for the first seven days.

After that, if you want to continue using it,

go to elsaspeak.com/danhauer,

and follow the three steps there to check out with a price discounted from 10 to 80 per cent.

If you do that, you'll be improving your pronunciation, and supporting this channel, too.

Good for you, and good for me.

Oh, and one more thing: some of you might have been curious about this picture.

I didn't draw it. My wife did.

Isn't she talented?

Oh, and one more small thing.

I know many of you have been wanting to see the baby once it's born.

Well . . .

here you go!

I'm actually not sure if it's a boy or a girl,

I haven't had time to check.
