of your thoughts and actions. Now to begin

today's Believer's Voice of Victory, here's Gloria.

GLORIA: Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Believer's

Voice of Victory. Kellie is with us again today.

She's got some good word for us. She's feeding our spirits.

Hallelujah. Go, Kellie, go. KELLIE: Go, go, go. If you're

just joining us, we've been talking last week and this week

about living free, free, free, free. We heard this week

completely free from fear. And we left off yesterday in

Hebrews. Boy, it was hard to get through that Hebrews 2. It was

so good. I saw so much in there I really hadn't even thought of

before, Mom. GLORIA: I know it. KELLIE: But in Verse 19, it

talks about a haunting fear, which--and that fear remains in

your consciousness. And then we looked at first--did we--well,

we looked at I Timothy and saw where the--your consciousness

is--that your faith is shipwrecked, that people

violated their consciousness and their-- GLORIA: Their

conscience. KELLIE: --their conscience. And, in that, their

faith is shipwrecked. So they think they're on a route on the

ship on the other--going to the other side with their faith. But

that fear, that remains in the consciousness. That's what

haunting means, remaining in the conscienceness--consciousness,

disturbing, distressing, anxiety. GLORIA: You know, it

seems like I would see that as they were on the right track.

They were going well and then they fell back. And then the

fear came because now they're not doing what God's told them

to do. KELLIE: They're looking at failure. GLORIA: Yeah.

KELLIE: Yeah. GLORIA: And that haunted them. But there was an

answer to that. Hallelujah. KELLIE: Yeah. There was, and His

name is Jesus. GLORIA: Yes. KELLIE: He was in the boat with

them. But really, Mom, if you think about that-- GLORIA:

"Repent" means to turn around. KELLIE: They weren't-- GLORIA:

If you get in trouble, turn around. KELLIE: They weren't

even looking to Him for help. They just said--woke Him up to

tell Him they were going to die, I guess. (Laughs) GLORIA: There

wasn't a lot of faith in that boat except Jesus, and He was

asleep. KELLIE: No. And we talked this week about putting

Him as your hope. If He's your hope, that's not how you go to

Him. So, really, it's very key to put Jesus as your hope. Like,

"Okay, me and You, Jesus, we're getting through this. Now, you

tell me how." Had they gone to Him in the boat and said, "All

right, Jesus, there's a storm. We can't handle it. Tell us how

to get to the other side," that's totally faith. And that's

what we should be doing. And things happen. You look at Him.

Don't just cry and bawl about, "Why have you let this happen to

me?" That's like they did. They were like, "Don't you care we're

going to die?" They had no interest in His solutions,

really. They were just afraid and worried. And that's what

fear will do to you. That whole scripture in Timothy that talks

about your consciousness and your faith being shipwrecked,

you've put that directly onto that story about them going to

the other side because that's what happened to them. Their

faith was shipwrecked. They didn't even have faith in Jesus.

GLORIA: Fear shuts the door to faith and shuts the--and

fear--faith shuts the door to fear. KELLIE: Right. And when

you shut the door to faith, you're going to lose. And you

open the door to fear, you're going to lose because that's

Satan's plan. We really covered that. So I encourage you to go

back to--on kcm.org. Download the study notes. Really make a

study of this to get rid of the fear in your life once-- GLORIA:

Oh, yeah. KELLIE: --and in your family's life once and for all

because God wants you to win. And He's put everything we

need--He's done it all--that we could be completely free and not

in bondage anymore. So we're going to pick up in--I mentioned

Luke 21, but we didn't get to it. But to--if you're--we're

still talking about being in faith when trouble comes.

Really, if you can be in faith when sudden trouble comes, you

can rest in faith the rest of the time, resisting fear as a

practice-- GLORIA: Now, you don't wait till you-- KELLIE:

--resisting fear all the time. GLORIA: --you don't wait till

the storm comes to get your Bible and learn how to walk by

faith. KELLIE: No. GLORIA: You live in the Word of God. You

live in faith. You talk in faith. You act in faith.

Everything you do is based on faith, no unbelief. That's the

way we live without the curse. KELLIE: Yeah. And the--sadly,

that's what people try to do, is they--that when something--they

wait until something comes along, they physically or

mentally or financially, "I can't do anything about this. I

guess I need to go to God." That's like trying to--and He's

gracious and He'll send you all the help He can, but your

faith--your winning is connected to your faith. Your losing is

connected to your fear. So God can't do that part of it for

you. GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: He'll do everything He

can for you, but building a house in a storm is very hard.

And trying to switch-- GLORIA: But possible. KELLIE: --from

being reliant on yourself and what you do or worrying about

stuff to being a faith person and, "I'm going to win," that's

a tough--it's hard. GLORIA: Yeah, it is. KELLIE: It's hard.

But--so we want to help you prepare to live every day by

faith. GLORIA: Yeah, that's right. KELLIE: Every day, no

fear. GLORIA: Every situation, deal with it by faith. KELLIE:

Every situation. Man, you send your teenagers out in the car

for the first time by themselves, you need to be

walking in faith and not fear. GLORIA: Yes, amen. KELLIE: But

I'm telling you, it's an easy place to just put up with that

worry and just be relieved when they get back and not think a

thing about it, but those are places where you can exercise

your faith in God and in His promises. Okay, so, Mom--

GLORIA: I agree. KELLIE: --I found something in Luke 21 that,

to me, was really interesting. GLORIA: Okay, let's hear it.

KELLIE: Luke 21:5 says, "Some of his disciples began talking

about the majestic stonework of the Temple and the memorial

decorations on the walls. But Jesus said--" Now, let me just

point out here that they are sightseeing in the temple. They

are not thinking about spiritual things. They are not thinking

about the end of the world. You know, when you're going about

your daily life, maybe you're shopping, maybe you're at work,

you're taking care of stuff, you're at a baseball game,

you're at a soccer game, you're at a football game, you're at a

party, you're at a friend's house, you're sitting on the

couch, vegging, watching TV, you are not thinking about the end

of the world. But look at this, because Jesus was in their

presence, He had something to say to them that was a warning,

nothing to do with sightseeing. Suddenly, I can just see Peter,

you know, he's looking at the--looking at the stonework in

the temple. And Jesus suddenly says, "The time is coming when

all these things will be completely demolished. Not one

stone will be left on top of another!" What? And we need to

be that alert to His voice. And when we're going about our daily

life, we're always--He's always right there in our presence. We

are always mindful of Him. We have our face looking at His

24/7. And that takes practice. And it takes practice living

your life through Him. It's like Mary sat at His feet. Martha was

serving, but God didn't get on to her for serving. He got on to

her for caring and worrying and not looking to Him for the

serving. I mean, He fed thousands of people. Surely, He

could fit--feed 20 or whatever were in her living room. So

Jesus breaks into their--you know, their gazing about and

enjoying the beautiful temple, and He says, "Listen, things are

about to change." GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: Things are going to

change, and you need to be ready. So this is totally out of

the blue for them. Then they're like, "Well, teacher, when is

all this going to happen?" So when He says that, they started

asking Him questions. That's a good thing to do, isn't it, Mom?

GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: I think some people confuse questioning

God with asking Him questions. You know, I'm at the growth

place in my life that I don't question Him and His goodness

and His love anymore-- GLORIA: No. KELLIE: --because I've seen

that in the Word. Some people haven't gotten that yet, and

it's okay if you're at that place and you're questioning

God, "Do you love me?" I mean, if you don't know that He loves

you, then yes, ask Him, "Do you love me?" And let Him reveal

that to you. But once you see that, you don't really question,

you know, "God, why did this happen?" and--other than to say,

"Lord, did I mess up here? Show me what I need to do

differently." But you're not questioning His goodness--

GLORIA: No. KELLIE: --towards you anymore. But questioning Him

with what He says so that you have full understanding of it,

that's a good thing because we learn from Him. People sometimes

resist, I think, asking Him questions, thinking, "That's not

faith." But how can you put faith in something if you don't

have the Word on it? So you ask Him a question about something

that you don't know-- GLORIA: Or understanding. You ask--you can

ask-- KELLIE: Yeah. GLORIA: --for understanding of it.

KELLIE: And then He will give you answers. He'll give--show

you in the Word. He'll answer you in your heart. You'll turn

on the TV. There's Gloria Copeland. She's giving you a

Word. You know, He'll answer those questions for you because

He's our source of supply. We've got the Holy Spirit. The Holy

Spirit is expressing Jesus' words to us 24/7. And He's our

connector. Jesus sent Him to be that living, abiding Spirit on

the--Spirit speaking to us all the time, leading us. GLORIA:

Lead us into all the truth. KELLIE: Woo! GLORIA: Glory to

God. KELLIE: We are not going to fail, Mom. GLORIA: No, we're

not, not if we stay with Him. KELLIE: He says--so He goes on

to say--He starts telling them and describing to them the

things about the end times. You know, don't be misled. He says,

"You'll hear of wars and insurrections." But He says,

"Don't panic." I'm going to read some of this out of the New--out

of the-- GLORIA: Where are you right now? KELLIE: I'm in the

New Living, reading in Luke 21. I'm kind of skipping around, so

I'll try to tell you where I'm at before I read. But He's

talking in, like, Verse 8 and on about the signs and the things

that are coming that are not good. I'm reading out of the New

Living, but I'm going to read a little bit out of The Passion

Translation here in a minute. GLORIA: Okay. KELLIE: But it

says, "But before all these things occur, there will be a

time of great persecution." And He tells them, "You're going to

be dragged into synagogues you're going to be dragged into

prisons, and then you'll stand trial before kings and governors

because you're my followers." Mom, I believe that because I

read into that, the persecution, as I understand it, and the

persecution that I know, like Fay face, the disciple's face,

and even the persecution that occurs in other countries, I

think I just sort of passed over the rest of this because I'm not

in a country where I'm put in prison for what I speak. I mean,

sometimes it feels like it was headed that way about certain

things. Like, you know, you can't say this on TV or you

can't say that publicly. But I kind of skipped over the--some

of this until the Lord drew my attention to this and He said,

"No, you're persecuted for what you believe. His name is Satan."

GLORIA: Sure. KELLIE: And he is daily trying to accuse you. He's

the accuser of the brethren. He's the persecutor of the

church. So even--you may not be brought before the president or

a king of a country or even in a trial. But every day as he is

throwing things at you, you know what, you get to the place

you're not even aware of that stuff. You're so separate by the

blood of Jesus and by no fear that he's trying to throw stuff,

it just will not--it doesn't get through. But that's because

every day, you are taking your stand, not fearing and not

worrying and standing in faith-- GLORIA: You're standing in

faith, yeah. KELLIE: --over your whole life, pleading the blood

of Jesus-- GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: --all those things that we know

to do, taking authority over the enemy. But in that, it says

you'll stand before kings. Really, we do stand before the

Lord. We stand in His face, it says. It says we look to Him

face to face. So, really, these things are true for--just as

true for us. But as we speak, it's an opportunity, He says

here, for others to hear. As we speak about--we speak our faith,

we speak what's to come, we speak what the Word says. Other

people hear our deliverance. You know, we--I mentioned that

Lyndsey had meningitis, and she was delivered. And my thing that

came out of that was I refuse to fear. People took that word and

they heard it and they were delivered. GLORIA: That's right.

KELLIE: They heard. Men heard about what Jesus did. GLORIA:

Yeah. KELLIE: Women heard. People heard about how you've

been set free and the things that God's done for you

financially or with your kids, and it's changed other people's

lives. So these do apply to us. But here's what I thought was so

good. It says, "Don't worry--" Say, "Don't worry." GLORIA:

Don't worry. KELLIE: "--in advance about how to answer the

charges against you." Don't worry in advance. I mean, worry

is pointless. Don't worry in advance about what Satan tries

to throw at you, about what he tries to accuse you of, about

what he tries--I'm going to use the word--I'm going to replace

the word "charges" with what Satan tries to speak into your

life. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: When he throws a worry and a care at

you, a thought, that's him attempting to speak into your

life. GLORIA: Do what the Bible says, resist him-- KELLIE: And

he will flee. GLORIA: --and he'll flee. KELLIE: He will

flee. GLORIA: Yes, amen. KELLIE: I want you to read that in a

minute. "Don't worry in advance how to answer these charged

against you, For I--" Listen to this. This is such a great

promise that I was like, "Lord, this is a promise from you,

Jesus. This is in red." "I will give you the right words and

such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply

or refute you!" None of your opponents will be able to speak

back to you. Isn't that good? GLORIA: Yes, it is. KELLIE: It

says--and He goes on to talk about some things that'll

happen. But it says by Verse 19. This applies to us. "By standing

firm, you will win--firm, you will win your souls." Then it

goes on to talk about other things about the end times and

prophetic words. And then in Verse 26, it says, "The powers

in the heavens will be shaken." Well, the Word clearly says that

we--there is a shaking coming and a shaking to the body of

Christ. Sometimes as God is removing things from you in

these days and times--we've talked about that some--allowing

Him to correct you and remove stuff, it may feel like your

world is being shaken, but it's because the grace to stay the

same, the grace to stay unchanged, the grace to--

GLORIA: Faith is the same. Grace is the same. KELLIE: --the grace

to--the what? GLORIA: Faith is the same. KELLIE: Faith stays

the same. But your grace to remain unchanged by the Word,

your grace to just go about your business as usual and not have

your mind on kingdom things is gone because it's kingdom time.

And that's a good thing, but it can feel a little shaky. But the

Bible says, "There's this shaking." Go read it in Hebrews

12. But it says, "We'll see the Son of man coming on a cloud. So

when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for

your salvation is near!" And it says, "You--" when you see all

these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

"Heaven and earth--" this is Verse 33 "--will disappear--"

Listen to this. "--my words will never disappear." Connect that

back-- GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: --to what He said when

you're in trouble. He's still talking about the same thing.

He's talking about, "Don't be disturbed. Don't worry. Don't

have anxiety. Don't have care." When you get--when something

comes against you, when the Satan comes against you with a

charge, He says, "Don't worry about what to answer to it." "I

will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of

your opponents--" GLORIA: That's awesome. KELLIE: "--can stand

against you or reply or refute you!" But here He says--those

words that He says He'll give us will not disappear. And here's

the phrase that I got. And I don't remember. I cannot find it

in any--it was so real to me, Mom, that I--that when He spoke

that to me, I thought I must have read it somewhere. So I

have looked in a translation of a Bible to say this and I can't

find it. And if you know it's in a different translation, tell

me, because right now I'm saying this was a word from heaven.

"I will never stop expressing Myself to you. I will never stop

giving you the right words to say when you're in trouble, the

right words to say on a day-to-day basis." GLORIA: Now,

what is that scripture, Kellie? KELLIE: That is Luke 21:33. And

it says here, "Don't let your hearts be dulled--" This is so

important, Mom. "--by carousing and drunkenness, and by the

worries of this life." What happens when people get into

trouble, when they don't look at Jesus, and they start worrying

about stuff and they start taking the care--they'll start

turning to alcohol. They'll start turning to-- GLORIA: Well,

that's true, drugs. KELLIE: --prescription drugs. GLORIA:

Yeah. KELLIE: They'll start turning to something to "shut my

insides up," turning to something to "get my mind off of

my life, my marriage, my kids, my troubles, my stress, my

anxiety, the hurts." He's saying, "Don't let your hearts

be dulled by those things." GLORIA: No, no, no, no. KELLIE:

But this says, "Don't let your hearts be dulled by the worries

of life." So what--you can get to the place that your worry

dulls your heart to what He's saying to you. The things you

reach out to, to try to shut that stuff up, to shut the cares

up, those things you turn to instead of Jesus will dull the

very voice of deliverance that He's speaking out to you. He

says the right word at the right time and Satan can't refuse.

That's what we want, but we can't let care and worry and

carousing, even--you know, that word, "carousing," I got from

the Lord that that's not just drunken partying, Mom. When

you're carousing is--and I'm not saying I've never binged a show

on Netflix and just watched 20 hours of TV because there was a

great series on Netflix. It's not that I've never done that,

but people can live this lifestyle of just escaping from

everything, watching TV. They can binge on sports with their

kids, binge on activities that they go do where they're just

filling their whole life and all their time up with these things.

None of those things are wrong to do, but they're wrong to fill

up on those things or try to quiet care and worry by

looking--just keeping yourself busy, or even care and worry

about your kids that you think, "Well, I have--my parents failed

me over sports, so I have to do this with my kids." Well, maybe

sports is part of this key to your kids following God, maybe

not. But He's the One that knows. So go unto Him over these

things. It says, "Don't let that day catch you unaware like a

trap. That day will come upon everyone." So this doesn't just

mean the disciples or everyone that is living in China or Iraq

or somewhere where people are being persecuted--Syria. This

says, "This day will come upon everyone living on the earth."

So that's me and you. So--but don't be afraid, He says, "Keep

alert at all times. And pray that you'll be strong enough to

escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man."

GLORIA: Amen. KELLIE: What does that mean? Stand in His

presence. Stand with Him looking at you. I know I'm not going to

get to finish this. I'm going to read some of this out of this

Passion Translation. GLORIA: Okay. KELLIE: But I'm going to

pick it up tomorrow because this is so good. So this is Luke 21.

We'll just get as much done as we can. He says here in Verse 9,

"There will be many wars and revolutions on every side, and

rumors of more wars to come." Mom, this is the--I'm reading

out of this--these are so good, you all. You can get them, but

it'd be really good if you just listen to this because it's

worded differently. "Don't panic or give in to your fears, for

these things are bound to happen. This is still not the

end, yet." Jesus continued, and He continues to talk about the

upheavals and He talks about here--remember, when

you're--before--when you're thrown into prison and you're

before trial. Then Verse 14 says, "Yet determine in your

hearts not to prepare for your own defense." Now, this is

preparing for a defense before you're called up. You know what

that is? Worry. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: The only way we prepare

for defense is looking at Jesus. We read His Word. We put His

Word in our heart. And we don't think, "Well, what if such and

such happens? Well, what if I get done here and then I have to

do this?" I mean, at work, you can worry about all kinds of

things. But stop worrying and don't prepare for your own

defense. Don't worry. "Simply speak the words of wisdom that I

will give you at that moment." When you're looking at Him,

you'll have the right words at the right time. Do you know

that's what He said in John 5:30 in the Amplified? He says, "I

can do nothing of myself." He said, "I decide as I am bidden

to decide." GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: "I speak--" He's

saying, "I speak the words that I am given to speak." And that's

how we are and that's how we need to be. And when we look to

Him, we become free in our every moment of our life because we're

looking to Him and He has the answers. "None of your

persecutors will be able to withstand the grace and wisdom

that comes from your mouth." You know, grace is power. None of

your persecutors will be able to withstand that. GLORIA: Praise

God. KELLIE: Isn't that so good, Mom? GLORIA: It is good. It's

true. KELLIE: No matter what happens, this says here,

"cataclysmic storms," and this says, "great storms." So whether

those are literally weather storms or storms in your life,

He will give you the words to say. GLORIA: Amen. That's right.

You know what? You have to know what those words are before

they come up in your heart. That's why we spend

time in the Word. Kellie and I'll be right back.

The Grace to Prevail over Fear with Gloria And Kellie Copeland (Air Date 7-13-17) - Duration: 29:41.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Your adversary, the devil, will constantly throw

words your way to distract you from God's plan for your life.

Don't give in to fear. Jesus freed you from all fear. Learn

more on today's Believer's Voice of Victory. Now here's Gloria.

GLORIA: Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Believer's

Voice of Victory. Kellie's back with me today, and we're

going to be talking about--what is it? KELLIE:

Living free from fear. GLORIA: Living free from fear.

So if you know somebody that needs to learn that, give them a

call real quick and tell them to watch the broadcast. Kellie,

it's going to be good. You know, a lot of people are fearful--

KELLIE: Mm-hmm. GLORIA: --if they don't--especially if they

don't know anything about the Lord much and the 91st Psalm and

all the words that give us protection and blessing. So I

think it's a really good thing you're doing. We're going to

enjoy it. KELLIE: And it--it's good, too, for everybody to just

stop for a moment and let the Lord do a heart check on them.

GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: Because I've found that--and regard--I

mean, I have been in as free--fear-free of a household

growing up my whole life and determined to live free from

fear-- GLORIA: Yeah. Amen. KELLIE: --and rebuking fear and

resisting it when it comes. I mean, that's my--that's our way

of life. And we've developed that out of the things that

we're telling you here last week and this week. If you're just

watching for the first time today, then go to kcm.org. You

can download study notes. Really make this a study for your

life-- GLORIA: Oh, yeah. KELLIE: --and teach your kids. But even

if you're like me and that's how you've lived your life and you

think, "Oh, that's--that--I don't deal with that." You know,

it's good to just sit down, stop, and listen, because He can

diagnose you. It's very sneaky. GLORIA: Oh, yes. KELLIE: It's

sneaky because it's Satan's way in. The Bible says, "Don't be

ignorant of his devices." The Word--so we read yesterday in

Luke 21. And there's this day of, you know, he's accusing--he

is the daily, daily accuser of the brethren. GLORIA: That's

right. KELLIE: He is daily trying to throw something at you

and make it stick. He's trying to throw some charge at you--

GLORIA: Well, he wants control. That's all--that's what Satan's

all about. He wants control. And if you are afraid of him, if you

give him place, he'll take it. KELLIE: Yes. GLORIA: And then

he'll have control. KELLIE: And he's looking for a place.

GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: And that's why he's throwing

these things at you. GLORIA: Nothing belongs to him. That's

why he needs your place. KELLIE: And you need to realize, too,

he's throwing things at you. He has to throw words at you. God's

throwing words at you. Are you going to catch them? Mom

taught--has taught masterfully about being a receiver of the

Word, like a football player, a receiver, taking it. Satan's

throwing words at you. GLORIA: Sure, he is. That's his only

thing-- KELLIE: And he wants you to take them. Like God wants you

to take His words of faith, Satan wants you to take this

worry and fear. Well, just because you've grown up in the

Lord and you're matured, that doesn't mean he's quit throwing

them. And I'm telling you, you just have to be alert. The Bible

consistently tells us. He never says, "Okay, you've grown up

now. You can just coast the rest of your life." I have not found

that place yet. I mean, there's a lot of things that are easier

for us now because we've practiced them so much. GLORIA:

Yeah. KELLIE: But even in that, don't be--don't be unaware of

the need to keep fear out of your life. And don't be unaware.

See, we are talking this week and last week about keeping our

face on Jesus because, you know, Jesus will alert us like He did

to the disciples in Psalm--Luke 21. He will alert us when

there's something that we need to pay attention to if we've got

our awareness focused on Him. So we don't worry. We don't even

worry about having fear. We look to Jesus. We get our eyes on Him

because He has-- GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: --even--we read

that we may not see the--we've been given control over all

circumstances. It said, "We may not be seeing that yet, but we

see Jesus." And He's the one that got--that we get that from,

that we get our words from. And so we receive His words today as

we do this broadcast. GLORIA: Yes, amen. KELLIE: And we left

right in the middle of Luke 21. And I had already read it, and

it was so good. But--I think I left my glasses. What did I do

with them? I left my reading glasses. I'm going to let you

read this, Mom. (Both Laugh) GLORIA: You're so good to me.

KELLIE: Oh, let me see. Father, I thank You for Your grace.

GLORIA: Have somebody check on her glasses. KELLIE: Yeah, I

think they're in the dressing room. You all can give them to

me. But it says--He says--this is The Passion Translation. It

says, "There will also be many wars and revolutions on every

side, with rumors of wars to come. Don't panic or give in to

your fears." That is a good word for us today. And what we

realized yesterday, that Jesus is speaking here about when

you're in front of your accusers--well, like I said, we

have, daily--he is accusing you of something. He is trying to

throw some words at you that'll stick. Well, when we are--he

says, "Don't worry about or panic or give in to your fears."

And I love this. He says--in Verse 16, I believe, it says,

"Determine in your heart not to prepare for your own defense."

It says simply, in other words, "Don't be thinking with worry."

We're going to talk about that some in the next two days about

the cares of this life and worry and what Jesus has to say about

it. But He says, you know, "There's no reason to worry

about it." He says, "Simply speak the--what--speak with the

words of wisdom that I will give you in that moment." He's going

to give you words to say the moment Satan comes. So you don't

wait till then to start reading the Word. GLORIA: No, no, no.

KELLIE: This Word tunes your heart. This is what is says in

Hebrews. GLORIA: That makes-- KELLIE: It's a discerner of the

thoughts and intents of the heart. This is a sharp sword. So

when you put this Word in your heart, Jesus will help you pull

out of your heart, in the right moment, the right blade to just

cut the devil up this way, that way, and sideways and forward.

GLORIA: He will write it on the tablet. The Lord will write it

on the tablet of your heart. KELLIE: And how many times--how

many times, Mom, has--how many times have we been in a

situation and you--it looks so difficult, but He gives you the

key word to say out of your mouth, the key sword? Let me

tell you something. You know, I--my dad has always said that

scripture we read the last two weeks about--talking about the

haunting fear of death, well, it--Dad always used to say,

"Never let him see you sweat. Never let the devil see you

sweat." GLORIA: That's right. That's right. KELLIE: And you

know what that made me think of the other day? GLORIA: What?

KELLIE: I kind of laughed about it. But I've thought of how many

people now don't--like, they don't read their Bible like I

grew up learning to do, or make notes in their Bible or be

reading their Bible along. And God would give them a revelation

of something. See, this Luke 21, this was just in one of my daily

readings. And He showed me this. And I never had connected what

He said about Him expressing His words. We talked yesterday. He

said, "My words will never disappear." What words? Well, of

course, this Bible and the words He said will never disappear.

But, in context, He's talking about the words He just said. We

just read it. He said, "I will give you the right words at the

right moment." GLORIA: That's right. Praise God. KELLIE: Such

wisdom that Satan or your enemy cannot refuse you-- GLORIA:

That's right. KELLIE: --or refute you. He said, "I'll give

you the right words in the moment." And then He says later,

"My words will never disappear. I'll never stop saying it.

I'll--" Jesus is saying, "I will never stop expressing these

words of deliverance to you." Why? He's our Savior. And He's

saying-- GLORIA: His Word's alive. KELLIE: -- "I will never

stop." So don't worry that you won't have it when the right

time comes because I'm never going to stop. Our part is to

look at Him. But, anyway, I was thinking about that the other

day and I just had this picture of how people really use their

phones a lot now to read the Bible. Or maybe--you know, I've

gotten just--I'm not saying you shouldn't use the Bible. I mean,

my goodness, what a wonderful thing, to have the Bible on your

phone. At any moment, you can look up a scripture. I'm not--I

think that has a wonderful place. But I don't think--I

think your--it lessens your--I don't know, maybe this is just

me, but I feel like, just reading this, I don't get what I

get making notes in this, letting God speak to me about

what His Word says. And I made a note on it because He spoke

something to me. That's so hard to do and see in a phone. But I

had this picture the other day. When you come up on trouble, you

need the words of Jesus. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: And it may--I

pictured, I think--wasn't it Al Pacino who said--had his gun and

he said, "Say hello to my little friend." Is that Al Pacino?

GLORIA: I don't remember that. KELLIE: I don't know Al Pacino

very well. But whoever it was, he said, "Say hello to my little

friend." And I pictured somebody saying to the enemy, "Say hello

to my little friend." GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: And the devil's

not being very scared because you spend as much time on social

media and texting people on this as you do in your Bible. And

this didn't drive off the devil too bad. But let me see your

Bible. Oh, there were my glasses. They were in my pocket.

(Laughs) GLORIA: You have to hold mine together. KELLIE:

Oh, I know. She said I have to hold it together. Okay, but I'm

telling you, when you say to the devil who's come at you, "You

say hello to my little friend." He says, "By his stripes you're

healed." He says--oh, this is what He told me on April

30--April the 30th, 1972. God said, "You are free." GLORIA:

That's right. KELLIE: Isn't that something? GLORIA: Yeah. That's

it. KELLIE: So putting this Word in-- GLORIA: Amen. KELLIE:

--draws out the current word that Jesus is giving you for

today. Man, I've had--I'll be reading this Word and it pulls

out a word in here. GLORIA: Sure. Yeah. KELLIE: I'll be

reading this Word, and God speak to me about my kids. And so I'm

going to get my glasses. GLORIA: That's good. That's right.

KELLIE: We're just real around here, people. So yeah. Okay,

praise God. I am healed. My eyes are youthful, renewed. Amen?

GLORIA: Amen. KELLIE: I bet you're agreeing with me for your

eyes, too. GLORIA: Amen. KELLIE: We're believing. I'm standing on

it. But this says, "Determine in your heart not to prepare for

your own defense. Simply speak the words of wisdom that I will

give you at that moment. And none of your persecutors will be

able to withstand the grace and wisdom that comes from your

mouths." Look--listen to this, Mom. It says--let's see, Verse

18. Oh, let me keep reading here. It says, Verse 18, "Don't

worry. My grace will never desert you or depart from your

life." GLORIA: Praise God. KELLIE: Isn't that good? GLORIA:

That's The Passion Translation? KELLIE: This is The Passion

Translation. And remember when He talked about the haunting

fear-- GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: --the haunting fear of death

that stays in your head, stays in your consciousness and just

keeps talking to you when you try to say, "Oh, okay. I'm not

going to worry"? You've got to look to Jesus to not worry

because that fear is in there unless you drive it out. But

this says, "My grace will never desert you or depart from your

life." Down here in the notes, He says this, Mom. The

literal--even though that's not what the Greek manuscript--the

words say--The Passion is more about the meaning and the

literal translation of the Aramaic figure of speech. Grace

will not leave your head. GLORIA: Grace will not leave

your head? KELLIE: Grace will not leave your head. GLORIA:

That's in The Passion Translation? KELLIE: Yes. So He

says-- GLORIA: Of what? Luke what? KELLIE: This is Luke

21:18. He's like, "Don't worry about what to say." GLORIA:

Grace will not-- KELLIE: Grace will not leave your head. "My

grace will never desert you and it will not leave your head."

When? When you don't worry, when you look to Him, when you don't

panic-- GLORIA: Praise God. KELLIE: --when you don't worry

about-- GLORIA: That's awesome. KELLIE: --what you're going to

say in trouble, when you don't worry about the trouble that's

coming. He says, "My grace will not leave your head." I just--

GLORIA: I like that. KELLIE: --I thought that was so great. "And

by firm--standing firm with patient endurance," faith and

patience. You've heard my parents preach that. They've

been preaching that for 50 years. GLORIA: Faith and

patience. KELLIE: Faith and patience wins. "By standing firm

with faith--with patient endurance, you will find your

soles, your mind, you will, and your emotions, to be free from

concern, deliverance." Then, let's skip down to verse--as He

goes on to talk about the end of times, which we're getting into

right now, we need to be aware. Verse 27 says, "At last, when

you see the Son of man comes, surrounded with a cloud and

great power and miracles, in the radiance of His splendor, and

with great glory and praises, it will make you jump for joy."

When you see hard times coming, you just jump for joy because--

GLORIA: Praise God. KELLIE: --you know you're delivered.

"For the day of your full transformation has arrived."

Then He talks about the end times. He says, "When you see

these signs, you realize the earth is yielding to the

fullness of the kingdom realm of God." If you don't have your

eyes on the trouble--if you have the eyes on the trouble, you'll

be thinking, "Man, this earth is yielding to terrible things.

It's just terrible. Everything around me is terrible." But the

Bible says, "where sin abounds--" GLORIA: Grace.

KELLIE: "--grace much more abounds." So if you have your

eyes on the kingdom, you get excited. I'm more excited now

than I've ever been because this says the earth is yielding to

the fullness of the kingdom realm of God. GLORIA: "Where sin

abounds," you could say, "favor does much more abound." That's

what grace is. KELLIE: Favor. GLORIA: When sin abounds--

KELLIE: Goodness. GLORIA: --favor does much more abound.

In other words, God's favor is coming to help you get over any

other kind of thing that tried to take your life, tried to take

your finances, tried to take your children. Grace abounds.

KELLIE: And we're not supposed to--we're supposed to be looking

at the grace-- GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: --and the grace giver--

GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: --not the trouble, not caring

and fearing and worrying about the trouble. So this says,

"Guard your heart." This is Jesus telling His disciples how

to handle these times. And we're actually stepping into, be

careful that you never allow your hearts to grow cold. Remain

passionate and free from anxiety and the worries of this life.

That's your job. Only you can do that. Jesus cannot. He has freed

you from worry. He has freed you from the fear. He's made you

free, completely free. But this says, "But you have to keep

yourself in his faith." GLORIA: It says, roll your care over on

the Lord. KELLIE: Roll your care. GLORIA: You've got to roll

it. KELLIE: Then you will not be caught off guard by what

happens. Don't let me come and find you drunk or careless and

living like everyone else. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: So

when--the cares of this life, careless living, worry, anxiety,

and--will cause you--cause that day to come as a surprise to

you. This says, "For that day will come as a shocking surprise

to all like a downpour that drenches everyone, catching

many--" not everybody "--catching many unaware and

unprepared." We're not unaware when we look at Jesus. They were

not unaware because, while they were touring the temple, "Oh,

look at--wow, this is awesome." Jesus is like, "There's a day

coming." So He made them--He made them aware and He makes you

and I aware. GLORIA: Yes, He does. KELLIE: And He--and we

are--this is not going to catch us unprepared. "Keep a watch

over your soul and pray for the courage and grace to prevail

over these things that are destined to occur." It says

it'll come on everybody, "that you will stand before the

presence of the Son of man with a clear conscience," not

shipwrecked, not problematic, but your conscience clear.

GLORIA: See what an--see what an advantage that Word people have

over just normal people? KELLIE: Mm-hmm. GLORIA: We have the

Word. We've put the Word in our eyes, in our ears. It's down in

our heart. It talks to us, comes to our aid. We study it. We have

answers. But if you're just out there in the world, you don't

have--you can't have faith without the Word. And you--and

so your faith is just--you could have it, but you don't

without--faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

So what do we do? Well, you should--what should you do? You

should get in a really good Word church that preaches the Word.

You should get teachings of the Word from people that have

taught faith for years like Brother Hagin and Brother

Copeland and many others. You should find you a good Word

church. That's a whole area of churches. Word churches, what do

they do? They teach you the Word. They teach you how to live

and walk by faith. Glory to God. And you can live free no matter

what's going on in the world. So that's what we have to do. I

like this, Kellie. I want one of those. KELLIE: Isn't that good,

Mom? GLORIA: Mm-hmm. KELLIE: You know, there's so many ways that

those fears that set--the fears that come at us, the--you know,

I wanted to have time to talk about the--you know, fear of

failure. We're not going to fail. We're not going to fail.

GLORIA: No, not if we're-- KELLIE: We've got Jesus. Not if

you're looking to Jesus. GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: We'll get

to any of these things that we can tomorrow, but I really want

to focus tomorrow about casting it out, casting your care on

Him, humbling yourself under--even just under the words

that we heard today, humbling yourself under those words and

resisting fear, resisting the devil. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: And

I want to talk--maybe we'll have a chance tomorrow to look in

what Matthew 6--I do want to say--look at that with what

Jesus said. But, you know, in Isaiah, it says, "No weapon." My

kids--it says, "Great shall be the peace of your children."

GLORIA: Peace of your children. KELLIE: You knew--and I tried to

do your work for you and find your scriptures for you about

the different things of fear, but it's good for you to go to

the Word, and not just go to the Word, Mom, but really, I think

the point of what we're really saying is, "Go to Jesus." Let

Him direct you where to go to the Word. You're like, "Lord, I

do have worry over this--over that." Let Him direct you in the

Word of God. Let Him direct you to the right--I have had Him

direct me to turn on the TV. And there--and to a certain channel,

and there was a preacher saying something I needed to hear. He

will direct you. He's our leader. So in all these

different kinds of fear, we've talked a lot about, you know,

standing for your kids and fear of the future. But fear of the

future just boils down to worry. GLORIA: Yeah, it does. KELLIE:

And we refuse to worry. And we refused to care. And, in that,

we are looking at Jesus. GLORIA: And that takes faith. KELLIE: It

takes faith in Jesus, faith in God. GLORIA: Faith comes by

hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. KELLIE: Mm-hmm. GLORIA:

So you can have faith. Everybody can have faith if they'll just

believe what they read in the Bible and take it and say,

"That's mine. That's mine." KELLIE: And, you know, we're

going to go tomorrow to Matthew 6 because Jesus addressed--

GLORIA: Oh, that's one of my favorite places. KELLIE: --all

those--all those cares that people have a lot, you know?

GLORIA: Yes, amen. KELLIE: And any care that you have can be

handled in the same way and has been taken care of in the same

way-- GLORIA: Yes, amen. KELLIE: --as we're going to find in--

GLORIA: Good. KELLIE: --Chapter 6. GLORIA: That'll be excellent,

excellent, excellent, excellent. How are we doing on our time,

Tim? 30 seconds. Glory to God. Don't miss any of these things

on faith and the Word. Your--you need faith. I need my faith.

Kellie needs her faith. We need it fresh. You know, you

can't--if you store faith for very long, it kind of leaks out.

It's there, but you don't take it. So we have to get in the

Word and stay there and feed yourself. We feed

ourselves every day because we don't want to live in

this world without our faith working. So we

take the Word. Kellie and I'll be right back.

Not Fearing when Life Feels Out of Control with Gloria and Kellie Copeland (Air Date 7-10-17) - Duration: 22:36.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Today, on the Believer's Voice of Victory,

join Gloria Copeland and her daughter Kellie Copeland, as

they bring good news from God's Word that you can be completely

set free from fear. Now, let's join Gloria Copeland.

GLORIA: Hello, everybody. I'm Gloria Copeland. And

welcome to the Believer's Voice of Victory. Commander

Kellie is with me today. Kellie Copeland is here

and she's got some good things to share with us. We're going to

be talking about no fear here, essentially. Is that right?

KELLIE: That's right, Mom. GLORIA: Okay. KELLIE: Living a

life free from fear. Living free from fear because, you know, we

listen to a lot of messages which is part of how you live

free from fear, is to hear that and get that in your heart and

resist fear. The teaching Dad did, "Make It Your Point."

GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: If fear is evident in your life, make it

your point today. I'm going to get more on that. That has so

much on it on the kcm.org. Mom has so much on resisting fear

and getting it out of your life. And so this--last week, we

talked about living a life free from fear and how you do that.

And this week, we're going to talk a lot about--Mom, we're

going to talk about different kinds of fear and different

situations. And one thing about fear you may think, "Well, I'm

not afraid. I'm not afraid of things." But you might not

equate fear over your finances to fear, but it is fear. And any

amount of fear in any area, just because you don't have it over

your kids or over your health or your life, you still have it

over finances. So it's still fear. It's still present, and

it's still contaminating your faith for living. GLORIA: Yes,

amen. KELLIE: Because it's a place you've withheld from God

to trust Him. And so this broadcast these--last week and

this week, we just want to encourage you with the Word of

God and encourage you with even some of our own historic

experiences that we've had standing against fear as moms,

as, you know, children--as moms, any of it. We've stood against

fear as a purposed goal in this family. GLORIA: Praise God.

KELLIE: And it helps if you make that your decision for your--you

and your family. We will not tolerate fear. And so we just

want to give you some things this week. And so we're going to

talk about different fears. And I'll name them. I'm--you agree

with me that we will get to all of these? Today, we're going to

talk about being fear--living fear-free when trouble comes.

GLORIA: Amen. KELLIE: And then we're going to talk about living

fear-free where your kids are concerned, living fear-free of

the future and what that brings, living--and that is also known

as worry. GLORIA: Yeah, that's right. That's right. KELLIE:

Living--and that is just a waste of time, really. That's what

Jesus felt about it. Living fear-free of failure, and then

we're going to talk about just getting rid of it, totally

casting it off-- GLORIA: Praise God. KELLIE: --casting the care

on Him and being free indeed, the Word talks about. So that's

our--that's our week ahead, and we're going to have some fun as

we do this. GLORIA: That's very important, Kellie. I'm glad

you're bringing that today. KELLIE: It really is, Mom. And

I'd like to start us with a scripture that we read in--last

week in Hebrews. We--I think we read it several times, even.

Hebrews 2--Mom, you've got your Amplified there. Can you read to

us Verses 8 and the first line of 9, and then we'll talk about

that? GLORIA: Okay. KELLIE: And then we'll go to 14. GLORIA:

"For You have put everything in subjection under his feet. Now

in putting everything in subjection to man, He left

nothing outside of man's control. But at present, we do

not yet see all things subject to him. We are--" How far do you

want me to go? KELLIE: Just that next line in 9. GLORIA: That's

right. Okay. "But we are able to see Jesus--" KELLIE: I

just--that verse goes on, but I thought, right there, that says

so much in that whole statement. GLORIA: We can't--yeah, yeah.

KELLIE: Jesus died on the cross. There was nothing--I mean, He

took care of everything. And then that's an interesting

statement which, actually, I don't know that everybody--every

Christian believes this or hasn't thought this through

enough to say, "Yeah, that's what it is saying." What

it--read that again Mom, that nothing is left what? GLORIA: It

says, "You have put everything in subjection under his," man's,

"feet. Now putting everything in subjection to man, He left

nothing outside of man's control. But at the present we

do not see all things--" In other words, we don't have the

revelation of all things, "--subjected to him, man. But we

are able to see Jesus--" KELLIE: So listen to what that's saying.

Jesus had control over everything-- GLORIA: Yeah.

KELLIE: --and gave that control to man and left--that's a huge

statement--left nothing out of our control. GLORIA: Or you

could say-- KELLIE: Now, people say, "Well, we're not--" GLORIA:

--He gave that authority. KELLIE: He gave the authority to

us. And there is nothing left out of our control over things.

Now--and it says--this is so important because our control is

nothing without our leader. We read yesterday in the Word--

GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: --a translation that called Him

our perfect leader, through things. So when it says there's

nothing left out of our control, that's not without Him. GLORIA:

That's right. KELLIE: But it says, "You don't see everything

in front of you." What's He saying? You don't see the

control you have may be necessarily over your finances

today. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: Maybe it feels out of control in

your family and-- GLORIA: It's there, but you don't see it. You

haven't taken it. KELLIE: You haven't seen the--you haven't

seen the results of the control you have yet. GLORIA: Yeah.

KELLIE: I tell you, when it's the most temptation--in my

experience, at least in my life, the most temptation to feel out

of control over things is when something hits you suddenly. And

that's what we're talking about when trouble comes. It can shake

you and it can rock your world. And if you don't have your

sights on Jesus, it can destroy you even, destroy your family,

destroy you, destroy your kids, destroy your world that--when

trouble comes. Because that's certainly what Satan has in

mind. The Bible says that he comes to kill--actually, let me

back up. It says he comes for nothing else but for to kill,

steal, and destroy. He doesn't come for any other reason. That

is why he's-- GLORIA: He wants control. That's what his--

KELLIE: He wants control and he--his--and then--and when he

gets you in his control, he wants to kill you, steal from

you, destroy you-- GLORIA: Yeah. That's right. KELLIE: --kill

your kids, steal from your kids, destroy your kids, your family,

your city, your finances, any of it. GLORIA: Praise God. KELLIE:

He--that's his--that's what he wants. And--but this says Jesus

beat him. Jesus took all the control over that away from him

and gave it to you. And what we do after that is what really

means victory or loss in our life. And we've walked through

this so many times I can't even--don't even have time to

sit here and tell you the times this family or individuals in

this family or the people that we--that live like this that we

know have walked through this so many times. And the choices in

front of you of what you're going to do with this trouble

and the victory that's been given to you already, the

authority, I mean, that's been given to you. And this says we

don't see the control right now. So when something comes, it

looks bad, it's (Gasp). Okay, now the Word says, in II

Corinthians 4, that we may be pressed, we may be hunted down,

but we're not abandoned. We're not without hope. We are--we may

be perplexed, He said. In other words, you may not know what to

do, but you're not driven to despair. Why? Because we have

the living God on the inside of us, talking to us. GLORIA: Yes.

Amen, amen. KELLIE: So here we are. Something comes. Now what

are you going to do? This says we don't see our control right

now, but we see Jesus. We can see Jesus. And I guess, if I

wanted you to take away any point from all this, the key to

living free from fear is looking at Jesus, because when something

happens, if you look at that, then it's--you could, in

essence, say, "I'm choosing to look at Satan and what he wants

to do to me." Even though that's not what you want, if you're

looking at the thing, that this thing is the biggest thing in

the room, and this thing is all I can put my sights on, that's

fear. And it's like saying, "Okay, Satan, I'm going to look

at you," because, really, you look at that things he's done,

you're looking at him. It's almost like--in a backwards way,

it's like picking up a Christmas present and it's got a, "To you,

From." You know, I love my presents I got from my mother

and daddy. And a lot of times, they come in a flat envelope,

and those are fun. But if I pick up a gift from you, Mom, I don't

even maybe know what's in it or what it's going to be, the

outcome, but I know you all, and I know what's in it. And I open

it, and I think about you as much or more so than I think

about that gift because it came from you. And I'm looking at you

when I'm looking at that gift. Well, it's the same way, when

you get that horrible thing and you're just looking at that, who

are you really looking at? You're connecting to Satan.

You're--it's like looking him in the face, receiving what he's

doing for you when you go with fear. But this is--we don't see

the control that we have, but we do see Jesus. We have been

offered a relationship with Jesus that's face-to-face.

GLORIA: Let me read this verse 8 again in the Amplified. "For

You," God the Father, "have put everything in subjection under

his," Jesus', "feet," everything. He took it by

conquest. He defeated Satan in his--in Satan's own domain and

took everything. Now, in putting everything in subjection to man,

he left nothing outside of man's control through Jesus, of

course. KELLIE: Through Jesus. GLORIA: In the name--we have the

name. So that makes it even bigger to think about the name.

Jesus said, "In my name, cast out the devil. In my name, heal

the sick." So we have the name. But at present, we do not see

all things subjected to him or to man, but we are able to see

Jesus. Woo, glory to God. "--who was ranked lower than the angels

for a little while, and crowned with glory and honor because of

His having suffered death, in order to--in order that by the

grace (unmerited favor) of God to us sinners," to us who were

without Him-- KELLIE: Thank You, Lord. GLORIA: --to us who were

sunk in sin with no way out except Jesus, "--He might

experience death for every individual person." He tasted

death for us. He tasted the curse for us to make us free.

KELLIE: Man-- GLORIA: Glory to God. KELLIE: --our perfect--to

become our perfect leader out of-- GLORIA: Yes. Yes, amen.

KELLIE: --whatever it is we are looking at. GLORIA: Praise God.

KELLIE: That's so good, Mom. And when you--when you look at His

face, He leads you right out. GLORIA: What He did on the cross

gave us victory over sin, death, everything that--torment,

everything that could come against us. KELLIE: So when--

GLORIA: That includes everything He gave us victory over. KELLIE:

So when trouble comes, you really have a choice. And it

really helps you in sudden trouble to have already decided

that-- GLORIA: Oh, yeah. You have to be trying. KELLIE:

--"He's my source." GLORIA: You have to be trying to respond to

trouble and temptation as well in the name of Jesus. You have

to be trained to do that. What--how do you get trained?

You do it, and you do it, and you do it. And you realize

sickness tries to come on you, you say, "No, you're not, Satan.

You're not coming on me. I've been redeemed from sickness and

disease. Jesus himself bore my sicknesses and carried my

diseases, and I am healed. In Jesus' name, every symptom, you

get off my body." That's the way you do it. You take authority.

KELLIE: Mom, that's so good because when we lay down our

place and--in that, in our scripture, when we lay down our

control in Jesus in looking at Him for everything-- GLORIA:

Yeah. KELLIE: --when we lay that down in small things, it's a

challenge to pick it up in a big thing because you're not geared

that way. You're not sourced that way. When we--I heard a

person say one time on Christian television--and I know they

meant it in a humble way, so I applaud their desire to be

humble, but they didn't understand. And at least in

these financial places, they didn't understand what true

humility is. True humility is not saying, "I don't have to ask

God to do that, I can do it for myself." That's really the

opposite of humility, is you're saying, "I can be my own source

in that and I can handle that." And the temptation in our lives

is, if it's not something that we can't handle, you don't even

look to Jesus for it. You don't even look to Him. You think, you

know, "I've got this situation. Now, what am I going to do about

it?" That's our first thought, "What am I going to do about

it?" And instead of--you can begin to practice. The Word says

what you just said, that our senses are exercised by reason

of use. So, as you practice, "What am I going to do about it,

Lord?" as you practice that, He really becomes your source in

everything. He wants to be so much your source. Paul said, "In

Him, we live and move and have our being." GLORIA: Yes. KELLIE:

That means He's your source for getting out of bed in the

morning. He's your source for everything; finances, kids, you

know? That really helps alleviate the whole--we'll talk

about this later in the week when we talk about freedom from

fear over your kids. But, you know, when you have fear, you

seek to control. That can be at work, that can be with your

kids, your spouse, your friends. When you have fear over an

outcome, like if I let them do it the way they want to, they're

going to hit--they're going to make a mess, so I need to do

that. That becomes control. You're just trying to control

this person, trying to control this situation. And ask me how I

know. Ha-ha. But we--He's put everything--He's the one that's

put everything under our control, but we get the control,

not by controlling, but by looking to Him. GLORIA: Taking

authority. KELLIE: Yeah, and keeping our face on Him--

GLORIA: Now, let me read that again. After we've gone this

far, let me read that scripture again. This is Hebrews 2:8, "For

You," God, "have put everything in subjection under his feet.

Not--now in putting everything in subjection to man," because

we're in Jesus, we're--now it's in subjection to us, "He left

nothing outside of man's control. But at present we do

not see all things subject to him." In other words, we haven't

had that revelation yet, perhaps. "But you are able to

see Jesus, Who was ranked lower than the angels for a little

while, crowned with glory and honor because of His having

suffered death," He took the curse for us, "in order that by

the grace (unmerited favor) of God to us who were sinners He

might experience death for every individual." So He tasted death

for us, and He took authority from the devil. And now He's

told us, "In my name, you go cast out the devil." So now He's

put us in authority over the devil, but we have to do it. We

can't just--and if you just agree with the devil,

you're--he's going to take you where you don't want to go. So

we're in a--we are in a war, so to speak. But why? Because the

Bible says, Satan has come to kill, steal, and destroy. Jesus

said, "I have come," or, "I have come that they might have life."

So we're in the life side when we're in Jesus. KELLIE: That's

so good. GLORIA: Glory to God. And we have to take authority.

We have to say, "Satan, get your hands off my child. Get your

hands off my body. Sickness, I rebuke you in Jesus' name." You

say, "Well, I don't know how to do that." Well, the most

important thing you can do is learn how, that you do have

authority, and how to take it. It'll save your life. It'll

change your finances. It'll do everything you need, because now

you've got something to use on the devil, the name, the name of

Jesus. Satan can't stand against that name. And it's ours to use.

"In my name," He said, "cast out the devil." KELLIE: Every day.

GLORIA: Whenever he needs casting out, do it. KELLIE: And

use the name every day over every area. Mom, that's so good.

GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: Over every area of your life

because as you were talking, I was sitting there thinking about

all the many times He has been so faithful to us, save our

children, save our lives, maneuver us where we miss

something-- GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: --that Satan had

in mind for us, providing housing, clothing, cars,

ministry, make our way for us. He's just year after year after

year. And I was just sitting there thinking, when you apply

your trust by faith, you begin to get some victories under your

belt so to speak. GLORIA: Oh, absolutely. KELLIE: You begin to

get some experiential wins of victory, and even that increases

your trust. So what it--using this like Mom was talking about,

trusting Him and putting your faith in Him, resisting fear

like we're--we've talked about last week. And then we're going

to continue to give you the tools to do this with. It's all

been given to you to take authority over, to be in control

over all this stuff that goes on in your world and in your realm.

You can't control everybody else, but you control, by the

Spirit, all of this stuff. And even through your face time with

Jesus, other people are affected and other people are helped and

delivered. So that's just so strong. GLORIA: And the

Scripture--we--the Scripture says we walk by faith and not by

sight. So faith is what overcomes the enemy and

everything else. Faith is what? Faith is believing what the Word

said. I believe we have authority over the devil. So if

he tries to come against me in sickness or lack or whatever, I

speak to him and I say, "Satan, you take your hands off my money

in Jesus' name. You can't have my finances. You can't have my

children. I break your power in the name of Jesus." KELLIE:

Amen. GLORIA: "And I believe I receive their salvation and

deliverance." You have to take authority. Amen? KELLIE: Amen.

And here we sit, here I sit. (Laughs) GLORIA: Here she sits.

KELLIE: I'm so thankful for a praying Mom. Mom, read 14 and

15. That's probably about--we'll talk about haunting again and

I'll connect it to the next thing, and then we'll pick it up

tomorrow. GLORIA: Read Hebrews 2:14 and 15? KELLIE: Hebrews

2:14 and 15, yes. GLORIA: "Since--" This is the Amplified.

"Since, therefore, these His children share in flesh and

blood and in physical nature of human beings--" We're not--we're

not angels. We're human beings. "He himself in a similar manner

partook of the same nature--" He became flesh. He became man. He

took upon Himself the nature of man. And He became man, "--that

by all--that by going through death He," became man. He took

on our nature, our being, so that He could as man, as a man,

pay the price for our redemption. "--that by

through--that by through--going through death He might bring to

nought and make of no effect--" That's the devil. KELLIE: And

that's that. GLORIA: "--who had the power of death--that is, the

devil." He had the power of death. Now, Jesus came as man,

took upon Himself flesh, defeated Satan in his own

domain, and took any authority that he had because of Adam's

sin in the garden. What is it you don't understand about that?

You got it. You got that-- KELLIE: That's right. It's

yours. GLORIA: --authority if you're in Christ Jesus. "And

also that He might deliver and completely set free all those--"

KELLIE: Oh, say that again. What's set free? GLORIA: "And

also that He might deliver and--" TOGETHER:

"--completely--" GLORIA: "--set free all those who through the

haunting fear of death were held in bondage throughout the whole

course of their lives." KELLIE: Man, that's so good. GLORIA:

Isn't that good? KELLIE: I guess we'll have to pick that up

tomorrow, but-- GLORIA: I like that. KELLIE: --completely set

free. GLORIA: Yes, amen. KELLIE: This is what is available to

you-- GLORIA: That's in Hebrews 2. KELLIE: --completely set free

from death, completely set free from fear, completely set free

from everything that-- GLORIA: From the curse. KELLIE: --He

bought and paid for out of the curse. GLORIA: Everything bad is

under the curse. KELLIE: Oh, and that haunting fear that's kept

you enslaved, we are kicking that out this morning. GLORIA:

Satan doesn't have that to use over us because we've been born

again. Hallelujah! Kellie and I will be right back.

Let's eat! Food and sharing in the Philippines. - Duration: 9:14.

Let's eat!

Food and sharing in the Philippines.

Come across a Filipino eating, and they will normally say "Let's eat!", or "Kain tayo!"

in Tagalog.

It's an invitation to join them to eat, and typical

of Filipino generosity.

What should you do next time this happens to you?

A necessary education for those in an Australian Filipina relationships.

"Let's eat!"

First time someone said "Let's eat!" to me, I didn't know what to say.

I'd already eaten, and wasn't sure if I was supposed to go and join them.

But this is what Filipinos do when they're eating and there's

someone else around.

It's almost automatic.

And I can remember another time on Bantayan Island many years ago where one of the locals

invited me to come and drink with him and his barkadas

(mates) after I bought him 3 bottles of the dreaded

Kulafu (tastes like drain cleaner and cost P3 per bottle at the time) so he had something

to offer his guests.

Gave me a stump to sit on, a glass of this amazing beverage and a lump of pig fat.

Fortunately I was able to discard the fat by tossing it

under something without anyone seeing me, but I struggled

down the drain cleaner.

But yes, as I said, Filipinos and generosity/hospitality go hand in hand.

Eating by yourself and being oblivious to the needs of others, it just

isn't done.

So whether you have an abundance or whether it's

something very humble (like that awful lump of fat), you offer it to whoever is present.

Try this little exercise next time you see a Filipino eating something.

Ask them what they are eating.

And guess what they will do?

They will immediately offer some or even all of it to you, without hesitation!

Do you know that when particular religious groups come knocking at the door, your average

Filipino will invite them in and offer them refreshments?

They will do this even if it means they need to politely sit

through attempts to convert them, because it would be rude to treat a guest any other

way!

Does that mean you need to stop what you're doing?

Is it rude to say no?

No, not at all.

You can always politely decline, and no one will be shocked.

And if there's not much to go around, I'm sure they're just

that little bit grateful to hear that you're busog (full).

Know what's a bit odd?

OK, what do you say if someone offers you something in Australia and you don't

want it?

Someone asks "Djawannacuppa?" or "Djawannavegemitesanga?"

(I'll let the Australian husbands explain those) or similar?

You say, "Oh, no thanks."

Or "Not at the moment, but thanks anyway" etc.

In the Philippines?

You sort-of screw up your face and say (in a slightly evil-sounding tone)

"I don't like!"

You can imagine my shock first time I heard that!

You could think of asking "You don't??

But you had some just before?"

Answer?

"I know, but IIIIIIII dooooooooon't liiiiiiiiiike!"

Yes, it means they don't want it right now!

Not that they really detest that particular food or beverage!

Cultural clashes over Filipino food-sharing Food is an important thing in the Philippines,

obviously stemming a lot from the fact that hunger exists

and many live day-to-day.

Could well be nothing but rice for dinner.

So food is definitely life, and sharing keeps people alive.

Having guests over means food.

Birthday celebrations means food.

Baptisms, weddings, funerals and of course the Barangay

Fiesta.

First one I went to?

Fed beef caldereta at every household I was taken to.

Told each lady-of-the-house that hers was the very best and won a few pogi-

points.

Thought I was going to burst!

Again, all about sharing.

To shut the door and keep the hungry out would never happen.

I can remember a time in the distant past where I was visiting *cough* former girlfriend

in Cebu.

I don't know what it is about Cebu, but the lechon

manok there (barbequed chicken) was absolutely delicious,

and nothing like we have in Luzon.

So what did I do whilst staying with her at her parents house?

Get a single chicken, and we would eat it.

Get enough to share with the parents?

Never crossed my mind.

I almost wince in embarrassment to think of

this now.

Shudder to think what they must have thought of

my lack of manners.

Confusion works both ways, of course.

I recall a couple we knew years ago, with the lady being an old

friend of Mila's from Hong Kong.

Arrived in Australia and complained to Mila that her husband never

"offered her food".

She expected him to say "Let's eat", etc. and he didn't.

It's not that she wasn't welcome to eat.

He just didn't see the point in saying that to his wife, when he expected her to make

herself at home and not wait to be asked.

Mila would also be amazed if we visited an Australian's place and find they'd only made

one main course.

In Australia we ended up getting a new table, because when we had guests the table and the

kitchen bench were full to the point that there was no room for anything else.

No chance of actually eating at the table, because there was no

room.

And at one stage (I'll get into trouble for this!) a party

meant her getting up at 4:00am and becoming a complete food-nazi to everyone in the house,

and after the guests had left (along with their doggie-bags

of baon), those household would be left with shattered

nerves and leftovers to eat for the next week or more.

I've calmed her down a lot since those scary days,

but no one is ever left hungry rest assured.

That's the Filipino way.

Feeding Your Faith Overcomes Fear with Gloria and Kellie Copeland (Air Date 7-14-17) - Duration: 22:10.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for me.

I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Welcome to the Believer's Voice of Victory.

Today, Gloria and Kellie Copeland give you confidence to

cast all your cares on to God. Be bold and take authority

over your life as you learn who you are in Christ Jesus.

GLORIA: Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Believer's

Voice of Victory. Hallelujah. Kellie is with us again

today. We've been having some really good Word. If you

missed it, well, go back and get it on the internet or wherever

you can get it and listen to it. You know, you've got to feed

your spirit. You've got to keep the Word going in your eyes and

your ears to keep faith moving in your heart. And that's what

you want. Isn't that right, Kellie? KELLIE: Mm-hmm. GLORIA:

What have you got for us, today? KELLIE: Well, we've been talking

for--this is our last day of two weeks of living free from fear.

GLORIA: Living free from fear? Praise God. KELLIE: We've talked

about all the ways we live free from fear--not all of them. But

the--there is only one way, and that--Jesus said it. "I am the

way, the truth, and the life." GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: And He is

the only way to live free from fear. There's no other way. And

even if you think, "Well, I'll just speak positively and say

good things about myself, and then I won't be afraid." You

know what? That's great, but it's not enough. We have to

literally--even reading the Bible without really knowing

Jesus--now, when you read the Bible, you'll get to know Jesus.

But when you read the Bible knowing that He's the one that

bought and purchased it for you, oh, it comes alive. GLORIA:

That's right. KELLIE: You said talking about reading the Word

and keeping these things alive on the inside of you, and

they're alive and living, well, you know what? When something's

living, it's moving. And when it's moving, you notice it. And

when you're putting the Word in there and trouble comes, your

spirit's going to be the thing you notice because it's speaking

to you and talking to you-- GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE:

--and it's Jesus talking to you. GLORIA: You know, the Bible

doesn't say, "Go to church once a week." It says, "Meditate in

the Word day and night" -- KELLIE: Day and night. GLORIA:

--so that you'll have it inside of you and then you'll be ready

to act on it whenever you need whatever it is you're studying;

healing, prosperity, your family situations. Jesus wants you to

have whole, whole life, everything in place. And we can

do that through faith, but we have to have the Word to have

faith. "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word." And I

am so grateful, Kellie, that my children grew up hearing the

Word. I didn't grow up knowing that. KELLIE: Your children are

grateful. Your children are grateful. GLORIA: It makes all

the difference. KELLIE: And I'm grateful that I was able to

raise my kids on the Word and not being afraid, and when I was

afraid, knowing what to do about it. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE:

Because there are times fear comes. You've got to know what

to do about it. Don't feel like, "Oh, I must be a sinner because

I just felt afraid." No, don't be moved by your feelings.

GLORIA: You deal with fear. KELLIE: Let me tell you

something and clear up some misunderstanding about our

feelings. GLORIA: Okay. KELLIE: Our feelings came from God. He

didn't--but you have to know what their purpose is. He didn't

give you your feelings so you could be led. He gave you your

feelings so you could be informed. Because if there's

something going on in your soul and you didn't feel it, how do

you fix it? If putting your--I actually, the other day, put my

hand on this little hot plate where my coffee is, and it

really hurt, so I moved it. (Laughs) GLORIA: Quickly.

KELLIE: Quickly. But I'm so grateful that my feelings worked

in that moment or I would have looked down and my finger would

have been hurt and injured and I wouldn't have known it. GLORIA:

Yeah. Good point. KELLIE: That's the same. When you feel fear,

your feelings are to tell you, "Uh-oh, Kellie, pay attention.

Somewhere, you've got your eyes off of Jesus." GLORIA: Yeah, you

let it in. KELLIE: When you feel doubt, it's like--I've always

said this about my car, that I--my very first car would tell

me when my fuel was low. And it's the same as fear and doubt.

My car would say, "Fuel level is low. Fuel level is low." And I'd

go, "Oh, time to go to the gas station." And so consequently,

later, after I got rid of that car, I was kind of bad about

looking at my gauge because I used to have a voice that told

me. GLORIA: Yeah, uh-huh. KELLIE: So when that feeling of

fear, that feeling of doubt that you're going to be okay--which

is fear--comes, that's not for you to feel bad about, that's

for you to go, "Oh, no, no, no. Jesus, what do we have to--what

do you have to say about this? What should I do about this? I

rebuke fear. I will not have fear. Jesus?" You're looking at

Jesus, but that fear tells you you're not looking at Jesus. The

fear doesn't keep you from looking at Jesus. Feeling

fear--fear comes from--I'm not saying that fear is from God.

Being able to feel it is from God because that's your

indicator you're looking at what's going on and not at

Jesus. GLORIA: Your tank's running low. KELLIE: You're

running low. You better do something and you better do it

fast because when--I have been in places where I had to do

something fast. And, really, I believe, Mom, if you really want

to be a winner in those sudden hard places, you need to just

make a decision in your life that you refuse to fear on a

daily basis. Like worrying about money, worrying about what

you're going to eat, what you're going to drink, are your kids

going to hang out with the wrong people? Worrying about, you

know, the roof over your head, worrying about what's going on

at work, worrying about daily, temporal things, you're so

practiced at it, it's going to be hard, then, to not worry in a

place that feels devastating. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: But Jesus

said--we're going to look at it in Matthew 6-- "Don't worry

about all that stuff." And when He said, "Tomorrow has enough

worries of its own"-- GLORIA: Yeah, yeah. KELLIE: --I think

that's what He was talking about. You know, tomorrow may

bring something that's really easy to worry about, like

somebody in the hospital or, you know, a problem in your family

or your marriage. Or your kids, you know, did something that

feels devastating to you. GLORIA: Mm-hmm. KELLIE: You

know, worrying about those--tomorrow has enough of

that stuff that's in that moment. Don't worry about all

this other stuff. Don't worry about that either. But in

practicing on the common, everyday stuff, and casting fear

out once and for all, and keeping it out of your garden,

keeping it out of your domain, keeping it out of your heart

when it shows up, casting it out, that allows you to take

full control in the Spirit and take authority over the fear and

the issue that's causing the fear. GLORIA: Meditate. The Word

says, "Meditate in the Word day and night," so that you'll do

it. KELLIE: So you can do. GLORIA: You've got to give a

place to the Word of God. KELLIE: Right. GLORIA: If

you--if you meditated in the Word as much as you probably

watch TV, you'd be a spiritual giant, and-- KELLIE: That's

true. GLORIA: --so would everybody else. But people, they

don't understand that till--they have to learn that. We had to

learn to put the Word first place in our lives. We had to

learn that this Word is working for me. This is the Lord

speaking to me. This is what I need to do right here. And it

changed--you know, it brought us out of poverty and lack. And

when we began to put the Word first, it was--our faith started

building up because, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by

the Word of God." And we learned how. Once we learned how to walk

by faith, all things are possible to him that believes.

And that's what we found. We believed God for healing. We

believed God for offices. We believed God for people. We

believed God for houses paid for. All--everything we've

needed, we put our faith out once we began to learn how. Now,

when we started out, we were living in a little rent house

down by the river in Tulsa. And it--as I have said many times

before, it was furnished in early Goodwill. It was all kind

of just leftovers that we had acquired from my family, Ken's

family, or actually bought at the Salvation Army or the

Goodwill. And I wanted a house. Ken wanted an airplane, of

course. He could live in the airplane, I guess he thought.

Ha-ha-ha. But we didn't have the money for either one. But we

started believing God. We started sowing and tithing and

believing God, acting on the Word, talking abundance instead

of lack and, "What are we going to do?" And our financial life

changed. And it's still changing. And so that's been

many years ago. You know, we were believing for rent back

there then. Since then, we've bought property, we've built

buildings, we have a staff of what, 500 people or so? KELLIE:

I think almost. GLORIA: And they all want to be paid. And God has

made a way. KELLIE: Amen. GLORIA: So I don't care what

your situation is. If you'll get in the Word, you'll learn. You

need to learn. You need to get under the good teaching of the

Word. You need to learn how to use your faith and you need to

know that "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word

of God." And then you need to dare to believe it. And things

will happen supernaturally. You'll just know what to do,

know what to believe for. And it'll be good. I tell you, it's

the best kind of living in the world to live by faith and not

by sight. KELLIE: And it's that daily living like that, trusting

Him for all those things. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: People

have--they talk about that prosperity message. Well,

prosperity's in the Bible. GLORIA: That's the blessing.

KELLIE: What do you want, a poverty message? GLORIA: It's

actually just the blessing message, when you think about

it. KELLIE: It's just trust in the Lord. You could say, "My

trusting in the Lord for everything in my life." GLORIA:

Yeah. KELLIE: Because, when you don't trust Him for the stuff

that you think you could go do by yourself, then when you come

up on something like cancer or trouble or devastating traumatic

injury or divorce or your kids are on drugs, you come up on

that, there's not anything you can do about it. And then you're

stuck not having practiced it-- GLORIA: Yeah, believe God.

KELLIE: --trusting God. But your everyday trust in God with those

things-- GLORIA: You grow. KELLIE: --everyday not worrying

about them, how could--Satan can't even convince you that

He--God wouldn't give you back your kid. Satan can't even

convince you that you're not protected. He can try, but if

you-- GLORIA: Only lies. KELLIE: --live like that every day,

you're just like, "No." When you recognize fear, it's so easy to

get rid of it. GLORIA: Yeah, it is. KELLIE: So that's why we're

sharing these things with you. GLORIA: You resist it. KELLIE:

And the more you hear what Jesus says about it, the more you hear

what the Word and the promises the Father says, the more you're

just like, "There's no need for me to worry." GLORIA: No.

KELLIE: I have a Father. I have a Savior. I have a Holy Spirit

just talking to me all the time. GLORIA: Yes, amen. KELLIE: So

let's look at Hebrews 6, Mom. GLORIA: Okay. KELLIE: It

says--Jesus is talking to them. He says, "You know, you can

either serve money or you can serve God. But you can't have

two masters." This is Chapter 6, Verse 24. And then Verse 25

says, "That's why I tell you don't worry about everyday

life." I love the way Jesus does. He just barrels through

something, assuming that--you know, He didn't have to spend

too much time talking to you about serving money-- GLORIA:

He gets to the bottom line. KELLIE: --because you can't

serve God and money, so serve God. He says,

"So don't serve--you don't have to serve money.

Serve God and He will take care of the money.

Serve God, He'll take care of the everyday life." GLORIA:

Yeah. KELLIE: He--it says, "Whether you--don't worry about

everyday life--whether you have enough food and drink, or

clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more

than clothing? Look at the birds. They don't plant or

harvest or store foods in the barn, for your heavenly Father

feeds them. Aren't you far more valuable to him than they are?

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?" You

know, you read this in the Bible. GLORIA: I did. KELLIE:

You know, we talked--I think maybe mentioned it yesterday or

maybe the first of this broadcast how reading this Word

will bring up the Word of God for you, a Word from Him for

you. You read that and then you were like, "Well, if He cares

for the birds, He cares for me." GLORIA: That's exactly right.

KELLIE: That came from Jesus. GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE:

And then when you prayed, you didn't know you were praying for

salvation. He just gave you the next word to say. GLORIA: That's

right. Yeah. KELLIE: You said, "Take my life--" GLORIA: I did.

That's what I said. KELLIE: "--and do something with it."

And you didn't know that was a--that's one of the sweetest

salvation prayers I've ever heard. And it's not one that's

written in my--in the Bible. It's one that-- GLORIA: I had no

idea what to do next. KELLIE: Jesus gave you those words.

Well, He told you what to do because you saw something here

and it led you into His words for you. GLORIA: Right. KELLIE:

And that's how these things work. And it says--I have a note

here. The concordance--the breakdown of the word, "worry,"

says from Marito, which--I probably am not--it's the

Strong's. I'm probably not saying that right. "To divide

into parts, the word suggests a distraction, a preoccupation

with things causing anxiety, stress, and pressure. Jesus

speaks against worry and anxiety because of the watchful care of

a heavenly Father who is ever mindful of our daily needs."

God's not divided. His attention is not divided. He is ever

mindful of you and your daily needs. And I'll--and you might

think, "Well, why are we talking about worry?" Because worry is

just fear. Worry is meditating on the fear that's trying to

come. GLORIA: I was thinking about where we were when we

first began to learn faith. And Ken's mother had given him a

Bible, the New Living--the English--I forget now which one

it was. It was one of the first ones in easy-to-understand

English. KELLIE: It was right after you all got married,

wasn't it? GLORIA: Yeah, we were--and Ken and we were

believing God for a job. We had a coffee table Ken made in shop.

We had--we were sleeping on a rented rollaway bed. We didn't

own our own rollaway bed or any kind of bed. We were--we had

rented a little house that we couldn't really afford. It

wasn't much, but we couldn't afford it. It didn't have a

stove. It didn't have a refrigerator. And so we were

making do. Ken was looking for a job. And that's where we were

when we found out--when I found out God cared about the birds.

He cares about birds, He cares about me. And that--and Ken's

mother prayed for him all the time. And she wrote in the front

of that New English Bible, "Ken, precious, seek ye first the

kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these

other things will be added to you." I thought, "I have struck

gold." Just seek His Word, His promises, and all the things

that we need will be added unto us. And it certainly was. It

certainly was. Ken got a good job. We--I mean, not a

high-paying job. A job--any job to buy groceries was a good job

at that time. So he got a job flying out the airport. And we

just stayed on our little rented rollaway bed for a while. But we

began to increase because of the Word of God. That's just the way

it works. KELLIE: It was that from there, wasn't it? GLORIA:

Huh? KELLIE: It was that from there. (Laughs) GLORIA: It

couldn't have gotten any worse unless we didn't have a roof

over our head. I put a--we didn't have a refrigerator. We

didn't have a stove. I put a cardboard box on the little

porch when it got cold, and that was my refrigerator. KELLIE:

Well, you're smart. GLORIA: But I got a refrigerator now. I got

food. I got--how did I get it? How did we get it? Believing the

Word of God, that God cares for us, and He--and asking Him and

believing we receive when we pray. And we begin to learn how

to live in the Spirit, how to operate in agreement with God.

And the blessing began to happen. And it'll happen for

you, too. It'll happen for you, too. It works for everybody.

KELLIE: And in this, where He said, "Seek first the kingdom,"

I think maybe people might think, "Well, how do I do that?"

Well, just get your eyes on Jesus, what we've been talking

about for two weeks now. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: Get your eyes on

Jesus and off of the stuff. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: Eyes on

Jesus, faith in Him-- GLORIA: Get the Word. Yeah. KELLIE:

--off of the fear, off of the worry because here's what Jesus

says to you. This is a promise. Stick this one on your mirror if

nothing else. He says, "Don't worry about these things,"

saying, "What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we

wear?" These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers. Why?

It's-- GLORIA: Oh, that's a good way to say it. KELLIE: --if you

don't believe what He said, then that's the--what's going to be

the most in your mind. But if you choose to believe--and the

way you become a believer is you choose to believe what He's

saying instead of what-- GLORIA: Like Jesus Lord? KELLIE: --those

thoughts say. It says, "Those things dominate the minds of

unbelievers," unbelievers in my Word, "but your heavenly Father

already knows all your needs." It's no surprise to Him. GLORIA:

That's right. KELLIE: Seek the kingdom of God above what else?

What does that mean? GLORIA: That's what I sought. KELLIE:

Seek what He's saying about it. Seek what Jesus is saying. He

said He cares about me, I'm going to look there. You made a

decision that day. GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: And it was

that much of a decision. GLORIA: Just a little line. KELLIE: And

it maybe felt like that much of a change. But that day,

everything in the Word-- GLORIA: Seek first the kingdom of God.

KELLIE: --everything you live in now, Mom, became yours that

day-- GLORIA: Yeah, that's right. I-- KELLIE: --even though

you didn't know it. GLORIA: That scripture says, "Seek first the

kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you."

I needed a lot of things. I didn't have a stove, I didn't

have a refrigerator. I had a rented rollaway bed. It didn't

even belong to me. KELLIE: It didn't look good, did it?

GLORIA: No, it didn't. KELLIE: But it's-- GLORIA: Ken's high

school shop table and-- KELLIE: Oh, I'm glad I wasn't born yet.

GLORIA: I'm glad you weren't either, born in that. KELLIE:

Because then you would have had to feed me, too. GLORIA: I would

have had to feed you. KELLIE: It says, "Seek the kingdom of God

above all else." GLORIA: And it works. Hallelujah. KELLIE: And

live that way. Live righteously and He will give you everything

you need. So don't worry about tomorrow. Yeah, this is in red,

"for tomorrow will bring its own worries," that He said, we've

studied this week. He'll give you the right words at the right

time to take care of those, too. GLORIA: Yeah, that's right.

Amen. KELLIE: Today's trouble is enough for you--for God the

Father to deal with today for you. Just think about His

kingdom. GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: Put your faith on Him. So we're

going to do this exercise, Mom. GLORIA: Okay. KELLIE: I want to

read I Peter 5:6 in The Passion. "If you bow low in God's awesome

presence--" that's seeking the kingdom "--he will eventually

exalt you as you leave the timing of the seeing of it in

his hands." This says, "Bow low in his presence--" it says "--or

under his mighty hands." GLORIA: Yes. KELLIE: You know, the Bible

talks about under His wings. Well, look at that. You know, I

had this thought today that will help you. Sometimes you just

need an object lesson. When you're worried about something,

what happens with your hands? Oh, right? GLORIA: Yeah. Hold

your head. KELLIE: Hold your head, trying to find something

in here that's going to help. Well, next time you go to do

that, look at these hands and then spread them out like that.

They look like wings. And let it remind you to put yourself under

His wings. GLORIA: Yes, amen. KELLIE: His wings, because

that's-- GLORIA: Under the shadow of the almighty. KELLIE:

Under the shadow. It says, "Pour out all your worries and stress

upon him--" and that's fear "--and leave them there, for he

tenderly cares for you." And that word means load upon Him

your every anxiety, for He is always watching over you with

tender care. Be well balanced and always alert because your

enemy, the devil, "roams around incessantly like a roaring lion,

looking for its prey to devour." GLORIA: "Seeking whom he may

devour." KELLIE: And that--let's see. That word--the enemy, it

says--the word is a legal term for one who presses a lawsuit

that must be defended. So you have to stand up in your

rights-- GLORIA: Yeah. KELLIE: --and not bow to him. And to be

devoured is that if you don't bring your cares and worries to

God, the devil will use depression and discouragement to

devour you. Just as lions go after the feeble, the young and

stragglers--the enemy of our souls will always seek out those

who are isolated, alone, or depressed to devour them.

GLORIA: That's right. KELLIE: It says, "The God of all loving

grace has called you to his eternal glory in Christ."

GLORIA: Praise God. KELLIE: He will personally and powerfully

restore you and make you stronger than ever. He has a

plan to build you up and the power to do it. GLORIA: That's

good. That's excellent. KELLIE: And so these--this--you're not

alone. That's what these two weeks have been about. GLORIA:

Not if you've got Jesus. KELLIE: You're not alone. Satan cannot

devour you when you refuse to fear-- GLORIA: That's right.

KELLIE: --and you put your sights and your faith in God.

GLORIA: Hallelujah. KELLIE: Hallelujah. GLORIA: Victory is

ours and victory is yours. Kellie and I'll be right back.
