Waching daily Jan 10 2018

- I'll admit.

As much as I enjoy making short films and videos on here.

It's sometimes hard to get inspired.

I've made several videos where I've put a lot of time and effort into them.

Some of these however get under 100 views.

Not gonna lie.

It can be pretty discouraging and easy to ask, "Why bother?"

That little voice. That inner critic inside your head starts getting louder.

I sometimes wonder if anybody really cares about what I'm putting out?

Even the thought of quitting altogether has crossed my mind.

Then that's when I remember

why.

Why am I here making videos in the first place?

What's the bigger reason? What's the bigger purpose?

It's not about fame and popularity.

It goes deeper than that.

It's about how one connects with their audience.

It's about making an impact on someone if possible.

Making an impact in your own way.

Do you want to make them laugh? Do you want to make them think?

Do you want them to get to know you better?

Or all of the above?

That's when you realize why you're doing this.

That's the moment when I remember, all this.

It's just as much about you as it is about me.

That's what keeps me going.

[CC] Top 10 Favorite Videos of 2017 Book Tag - Duration: 8:37.

Hi, guys.

My name's Heather, and you're watching Heather-Reset.

Today I'm going to be doing the Top Ten Favorite Videos of 2017, which is a tag created

by J.D. Estrada.

And I was tagged by the lovely Madeleine Swann, so here we go.

Here's my top 10.

Help me.

Help me.

This is the creepiest video that I did this year, and what it is is a book trailer for

"If You Were Here".

I had so much fun with it, and I was actually really sick and decided to do this anyway,

so you see me like pretending I'm drowning in a tub, and I'm playing like 12 different

characters, and it was really fun, and I want to do more book trailers like this in the

future.

Ok, so for #2 I am just re-coming up with the cover for "Under Rose-Tainted Skies"

and putting it on my little piece of paper.

I am not the best artist.

That goes to my dad and my sister.

But I can replicate well enough.

I tried my best with the paints, and it was fun and it was easy, and I did it with a playlist

that I created for the book, so that just added to the whole feel and creativity.

Knock.

Knock.

Who's there?

Big Butts.

[hysterical laughing] Big Butts who?

I like big butts and I cannot lie.

You other brothers can't deny.

I went to Utopiacon, which is basically like a comicon for authors, and I recorded 15 different

interviews from some really cool authors.

And they just had me laughing so hard.

I loved making this tribute to all of them.

You probably could not hear what my momma was saying, but she was saying ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry

bomb.

We are on the way to my brother's graduation from high school and just really embarrassing

him from the backseat of the car.

Eventually my mom was able to get my dad in on it, and you will see him bobbing his head

in the front seat, and it's hilarious because both of them are ordained ministers, and this

song is not about good things.

It's about losing for virginity and other things that you're not supposed to do at

15, which is I believe how old the artist was when she was performing this song, and

I don't think that they knew that.

[singing] If you've been watching my channel for any

length of time, you already know that I love doing things with the Mickey Mouse voice.

It's so much fun.

I also like doing the playlist tag, so it there's ever a new playlist tag, just go

ahead and tag me, and I will surely do those because yes fav.

This one in particular, I did artist that I knew so I'd be able to get the lyrics

down, and everything would go smoothly.

There seems to be this way of thinking that saying if one group is suffering then you

have to take down the group that is not seen to be suffering in order to no longer suffer.

I also do a whole lot of discussions on my channel.

Sometimes they have to do with booktube.

Sometimes they have to do with social media and all of the things that are happening with

our society.

This one I just got so tired of everyone on all of their channels continuing to rant about

different things.

A lot of it was about diversity, but I felt like most of the people were misunderstanding

what the need for diversity was talking about and where confusing it for being anti-white.

So the whole let's pray a book when it doesn't include any white characters, cuz that's

awesome, but if you reverse that situation and say, hey, here's this book that doesn't

include any black people.

Oh that's horrible, I'm like, well if it's horrible one way, it's horrible both

ways.

We need to have inclusion in books, but it's also not the authors responsibility to do

so.

As a reader, you have options.

It might just be you having to do some research to be able to find things.

Just don't make people bad guys.

Oh my gosh.

These homophobic bigots.

Oh my gosh.

This is another scenario of people making people bad guys because they have different

points of views.

Just because you think that something is being intolerant, you have your own bias.

You're not walking in another person's shoes.

This one is interesting because I did it, and my sister couldn't tell who's side

I was on, and I said, perfect because that goes to show I understand all sides of an

argument and not just my own side.

[Cello] The moment you finish a book…

[squeal] I can be pretty random and goofy sometimes.

I had a couple extra clips, so I just decided to put them together for a video, and that

is what resulted.

That's right, guys.

The show came out yesterday with 14 hour-long episodes, and I've already watched them

all.

I can't even remember what this video was now.

[laughing] Oh yes, so the "Thirteen Reasons Why"

review.

And this one made the list because it had over 940-something views, which had never

happened on my channel.

I re-watched it last night, and I think I actually did a pretty good job of summing

up all my thoughts.

Why will no one read my book?

Nobody knows your name and not even your momma or your daddy gonna read your book.

I had a little too much fun with this video.

I got tired of fellow authors spamming me with stuff about their books.

If you're on social media, do not ever post about your books.

I don't care if you have 14 and you're only posting about one a day; I don't wanna

see it.

What you are doing is spamming people who are already reading your books.

Run an ad.

You can post when you have a sale or something like one time, and then please just leave

it alone.

And don't be begging people to read your books unless you have formed some kind of

personal connection with them and they have expressed interest.

Otherwise, you are guilt tripping them, and that is so wrong to do that to your audience.

I had a lot to say in this.

So there you go.

There are my top 10 videos that I did in 2017.

2018 is going to be great.

I cannot wait to see what that year is going to bring, and to be able to do this tag again

next year, so keep watching and subscribe if you want to see that one next year.

If you liked any of the clips in this video and you'd like to see the entire original

videos, I have a playlist for all of them linked down below.

Let me know which one of these videos was your favorite down below in the comments.

Or if there was a different video I made this year that you enjoyed, let me know that.

And let me know what your favorite video that you made this year was if you happen to make

videos so that I can go check it out.

Britt, you are officially tagged and anyone else who wants to do this.

Please let me know if you would like to be tagged in future videos.

I want to make sure that I'm tagging people that want to do tags.

So let me know in the comments if you would like to be tagged in future videos so that

I can say your name in the official video and all that.

But of course if you want to do this tag, go right ahead, but for the next tagging I

can actually mention your name.

Just tell me you want to be one of the names.

Alright, I'll see you guys next time.

Bye.

How to Start a Travel Blog: My Top 10 Tips - Duration: 14:07.

hello people of YouTube I'm Kristen and welcome to be my travel muse today I'm

going to talk to you about how to start not just a travel blog that helps you

travel for free or get little freebies here and there but a travel blog that is

a real business that makes money that can change your life

I have been in a travel blogger for five years now since then I have made just

about every mistake possible but I've also learned a lot so I'm here to share

with you my top 10 tips for what helped me to become successful now if you don't

know me allow me to qualify myself first my blog be my travel muse calm focuses

on solo female and adventurous travel I am in the top 50 travel blogs by traffic

I have been featured by the Washington Post by BuzzFeed I have over 100,000

followers on Instagram my blog received 1.5 million viewers in the past twelve

months and it is well known as one of the top female travel blogs in the world

so now that I've sort of shamelessly promoted myself let's have a seat shall

we and talk about the top 10 things that you can do to have a successful travel

blog most important thing number one about building a successful travel blog

is be original most important thing that you can do is develop your unique niche

figuring out how you can stand out might seem super daunting yes there are

thousands of travel blogs but if you think about it there are also thousands

of restaurants all over planet earth does that mean you shouldn't start and

open a restaurant or that a new restaurant can't be successful

No Travel blogging is a super young industry it's only been about a decade

now that people could actually make solid money with a travel blog so when

you think about it that way if you can innovate and come up with a really

clever niche then you've got a really good chance of succeeding really think

about what is the one thing that you love so much that you're obsessed

that you're thinking about it all the time you kind of eat sleep and breathe

it is the thing that can help you become successful because there are other

people who also are obsessed with that one thing the deeper that you can go

into a niche the more that you can find your tribe of people who are also super

into that thing I don't even know who originally said this anymore their

riches are in the niches basically the deeper you can go into a niche the

better you can do at differentiating yourself and finding that one thing that

hasn't been covered yet that you can provide your unique voice on now you

might be saying to yourself I have no idea what sets me apart that's okay it

may come to you as you start when you're on the road if you don't know yet just

go just get started that's okay for me it took a while to figure out what my

niche really was I focus on solo female and adventurous travel the solo female

thing just kind of happened because I'm a girl who travels by herself and the

adventurous side of me is something that I discovered once I was out on the road

so don't feel like you have to know that right away but really think about what

you are so obsessed with that you spend a bunch of time on it whether people are

paying attention to you or not and that is the thing that you should focus on

most important thing number two write for other sites when I was first

starting out my biggest strategy was to write for anyone who would let me who

was bigger than me which when I started out was absolutely everybody in the

beginning you've got time to write for other people you're not super busy with

checking your email or responding to comments because you probably don't have

any yet so when you're first starting out use that extra time to your

advantage by writing amazing content for other sites that point back to your site

this helps for search engine optimization this also really helps for

getting an audience and the best way to approach other people with your articles

is to number one have something really stellar that you've already written that

has amazing images to go along with it and that goes with the subject

of their psychic so someone writes about traveling in Southeast Asia maybe it

doesn't make sense to approach them with an article about Spain number two if

you've noticed that they feature other bloggers there's a really good chance

that they may say yes to you but if you notice that their site only has stuff

from them maybe they're not as open to guest bloggers and your time is better

spent elsewhere the third important thing to think about is when you email

them have a clear pitch in mind if you just email someone saying hey I'm going

to Paris and even me think what are they supposed to say yes I could use that I

guess so really think about if you were on the receiving end of that email what

would make you say yes and lastly make sure that you give the person time to

respond before you approach other people with the same article you don't want to

look spammy and like you're just trying to get backlinks because trust me

whoever you're approaching gets a lot of emails that are like that so you just

want to make sure that you come across as genuine that they know that you're

also a travel blogger and that you're not trying to sneak a link in there for

a company and that what you're providing is going to give them value for 3

hopefully the most important thing I'm going to tell you today is that you

should focus on serving your audience one of my favorite internet

entrepreneurs is pat flynn and his motto is served first and this is really good

advice because if every time that you get started on something you think about

how it benefits others you're more likely to find success think about it if

you write an article that is just about me me me then other people might not

necessarily connect with it and the way that you're hoping for in order to have

mass appeal you want to make sure that you're really providing something of

value maybe that's something that's funny and makes people laugh and just

brightens their day a little bit maybe that is the end-all be-all guide for

whatever it is that you're writing about another way is to make them feel really

good about themselves and to be relatable so if you write something

that people can really connect with here they're more likely to think about you

long after they've read the post and to want to go back to your site to see

updates put some soul into it and make it something that is appealing for

people beyond just yourself most important reason number four be really

clear on why you're doing it it should be really obvious that you need to have

a clear reason why you're blogging but a lot of people simply don't a really good

place to start with this is Simon cynics TED talk and his book start with why

this can help you conceptualize how you can come up with a really clear purpose

because when you have a clear purpose and you always go back to this purpose

you can clearly communicate that to other people and inspire action from

them that is linked below in the blog post which you can find in the show

notes is in number five don't be afraid to spend money businesses need money to

grow what do I mean by that I would invest in a course I just had to self

teach myself everything that I learned it took me about two months of constant

study of various blogs and reading the comments and just trying to figure out

how are people doing this if the course that existed back then I

could have saved myself so much time I have tested out the two biggest courses

in the market and I highly recommend nomadic maths superstar blogging spirit

of full disclosure I am an affiliate for this course but I wouldn't recommend it

if it hadn't helped me he takes you through the basics of how to build and

start a travel blog using WordPress how to grow it with search engine

optimization and social media and how to really approach it from the right angle

from the beginning basically you can throw a stick these days and hit someone

who has a course on how to get rich real quick on the Internet

how do you know that you can trust these people you don't but the thing is Matt's

been around for ten years he has the top travel blog and he makes good money with

it without playing games yes you could spend months self teaching yourself how

to do it your own you could do that with quantum

physics too there are reasons for taking courses you learn from someone who

really knows what they're doing because they've put in the time they've

tested all of these things themselves and they know what works and what does

not work most people are not willing to do that they want to do this in the

cheapest way possible so by spending two or three hundred bucks you can jump way

ahead of the curve most important thing number six don't be afraid to hire

things out that you don't know how to do I've had people helping me out since the

very beginning I know the places where I am stronger and can shine and that's

where I want to focus my time it's much better for me to hire out the things

that don't have to be done by me and that can be better handled by someone

else so in the beginning you probably will be bootstrapping and doing most of

this on your own but as time goes don't be afraid to hire other people that help

you that's how you can grow number seven number seven hone in on your unique

gifts what I mean by that is in the beginning you might feel like you have

to do absolutely everything oh my god I have to have a blog I have to have

YouTube I have to have Twitter Pinterest Instagram podcast calm down focus on

your unique gifts if you try to do everything at once you're just going to

be able to give a little bit of attention to each thing but if you focus

on the things that you are really good at and just make maybe two things in the

beginning your main focus is you main foci you

main focuses I have no idea focus on the things in the beginning

that you are good at and that you really feel like you can put a lot of time and

energy into and then focus on the other things a little bit later on but in the

beginning it's super important to give as much of your attention as possible to

the things that you want to be your main events most important thing number eight

I don't see this advice in a lot of places not to pay attention to your

competition in the beginning I do think it's important to do some market

search see what other bloggers are doing that works for them ask questions in the

Facebook groups become part of the community so that you at least have an

idea of what the current environment is like but once you establish yourself

don't pay attention to what anyone else is doing anymore it can kill your

creativity when you're comparing yourself to other people and no matter

what the more that you look at what other people are doing the less you're

going to have your own unique light shining logging onto Facebook or reading

other blogs can suck hours and hours of your time without you even realizing it

I'm not saying you should stop reading blogs for pleasure I am saying that

there is a line at which point it starts to be unhealthy for you and your brand

instead of trying to do what everyone else is doing do you do what you do best

and don't worry about the competition I'm not always successful in this in

fact this is one of my biggest struggles but it is something that I've been

really focusing on over the past month and it's amazing how much more time in

the day that I have when I'm not on social media most important thing number

9 resist the urge to fake it I know that it is really tempting to buy followers

because it's hard to see really small numbers in the beginning and feel good

about it but what's the point if you're not making real connections with real

people for me there is no point so the most important thing you can do to try

to find those real followers is again to hone in on your niche find your unique

gifts really develop those gifts without paying too much attention to what other

people are doing and not playing games to look like you're more popular than

you actually are all through the last five years I've

seen people doing black hat techniques either to look like they have more

readers than they do or more followers and engagement than they actually have

well those people don't really last they might look super popular now

because they shot up real quick but these stars burn out fast because

they're not actually stars it's not about having millions of fake followers

it's about having 100 real followers if you can do that that is

already huge number 10 most important thing never stop learning I spend more

money on courses and books than I ever did before these days the industry is

changing really fast always so the more that you can learn

and innovate the better you can do again that goes back to being willing to spend

on courses some podcasts I really like are smart passive income entrepreneur on

fire and read the 4-hour workweek I know it got a lot of buzz but if you follow

the advice on there about being efficient with your time

it honestly can be life-changing these are my best tips for how to become a

travel blogger thank you so much for tuning in I hope that you enjoyed this

video if so give it a thumbs up if you would like more videos like this or you

These Are 5 Signs That You Are Dating An Emotional Psychopath - Duration: 4:55.

5 Signs That You Are Dating An Emotional Psychopath

You love your partner very much, but you know there's something wrong with him or her.

Being in a relationship with an emotional psychopath can leave you deeply scarred emotionally,

and can destroy the idea of you ever finding love again.

Many of us have had our fair share of bad experiences in relationships.

Moreover, someone may never find the courage to continue to pursue any kind of relationship

if an experience was particularly traumatic.

When you're stuck in a relationship with an incessant psychopath, it becomes quite

a task to dig yourself out.

You're left confused because things between the two of you never used to be so vile.

They used to be so "normal" and endearing, you fell head over heels for their charm.

Little did you notice the hidden darkness beneath that gorgeous smile.

You may have thought at first that these were the normal ups and downs of any relationship

and that all that was needed to fix it was a bit more effort.

The truth is that somewhere deep inside of you, you knew it wasn't normal.

There was something not quite right with the situation and you needed to save yourself.

Really, the best thing to do at the first hint of craziness is get out while it's

early, before things start getting too deep and before any permanent damage is done.

In this video, I'm going to share with you 5 signs that you are dating an emotional psychopath.

Likewise, if you find this information is helpful to you, make sure to like this video

and subscribe to our channel so you won't miss any interesting update in the future

guys!

1.

You are always to blame when things aren't going so well.

They know that they are the cause of all the chaos in the relationship, but their pride

will never allow them to admit to it.

They're always looking for ways to victimize you and make you feel as though you are to

blame for everything.

They will make you believe that you are the cause of all the issues and problems in the

partnership (even if it has nothing to do with you) and you end up feeling guilty about

it.

They know that your guilt won't let you just get up and walk out for good when times

get really rough.

They know how to manipulate people who are sensitive and vulnerable into doing whatever

it is they want.

2.

They are constantly deceitful just to make you feel bad about yourself.

They will make up scores of fake facts and data.

They will twist dates and crucial details to suit their needs.

They will perpetrate false propaganda about you consistently to a point where you start

to question your own sanity.

They will lie to you on a serial basis; to them you are not worthy of the truth and with

the most blatant disregard for how these lies could make you feel.

They know that the more they make you doubt yourself, the more control they will have

over you and the relationship.

3.

They say that it's your fault that they're not getting the most out of life.

Because these people are psychopaths, they're bound to be doomed for failure outside the

relationship also.

The down side is that you will end up being blamed for it.

They will tell you that they are not able to achieve their goals and pursue their dreams

because of you.

They will lead you to believe that they are the ones making all the sacrifices in the

relationship when in truth they have nobody to blame but themselves.

They will always find a way to make it seem as though you are the villain in this story.

4.

They belittle you in every way possible to try and break your spirit.

They don't want you to have any sense of self-worth, they want to take complete ownership

of your being and then break you to a point that you lose all confidence.

They will continuously discredit you.

They will never fail to point out your flaws, and will always guilt-trip you into doing

things that they want you to do.

They are the manipulative psycho and you're their helpless victim.

5.

They isolate you from everybody else so you can't cry out for help.

They know that loneliness and isolation can breed weakness, and that's exactly what

they want to happen.

They want you to get to a point of weakness where it is impossible to survive on your

own.

They want you to think that the only way to get through this is to stay with them.

They want you to believe that nobody else is going to help dig you out of the hole they've

gone and thrown you in.

All in all, that's the signs that you are dating an emotional psychopath.

You only have this one life.

Don't give someone else permission to destroy it.

Now that you have this information, use it to make decision that are best for you.

I'd like to see your opinions on this and please do share your thoughts and experiences

in the comments below!
