www.youtube.com www.google.com

www.facebook.com www.instagram.com

All websites found on what we know as the internet.

On Youtube People post videos with both entertainment and educative value.

On Google, You can search for almost anything that comes into your mind and most of the

time you get an answer to what you're looking for.

On Instagram people share their art and creations and share messages with others through just

one photo.

On Facebook.

We'll I don't really care about facebook, so that's it for facebook.

But getting straight to the point, The Internet as we know it can be one of the most trusted

sources of data out there but at the same time it can be one of the most feeble virtual

structures out there.

This idea started to process in my mind upon reading an article on BBC.com centered around

the topic of the world entering a "Digital Dark Age."

The article was titled "Google's Vint Cerf warns of 'digital Dark Age'" and it was

posted three years ago in 2015.

The very first line in that article states the following.

" Vint Cerf, a "father of the internet", says he is worried that all the images and

documents we have been saving on computers will eventually be lost."

Moving on through the article a statement is made that further reinforces this point.

"Our life, our memories, our most cherished family photographs increasingly exist as bits

of information - on our hard drives or in "the cloud".

But as technology moves on, they risk being lost in the wake of an accelerating digital

revolution."

"I worry a great deal about that, You and I are experiencing things like this.

Old formats of documents that we've created or presentations may not be readable by the

latest version of the software because backwards compatibility is not always guaranteed."

Now this data problem is something that I have personally experienced, especially being

someone involved in the field of technology and video production.

Recently, while doing work editing, there was a problem when rendering out a file in

a certain resolution because the software would always crash when it got to a specific

point in the render.

Usually what I would do is to move to a lower tier in the version of the editing software,

then attempt to produce the same render.

But since this newer version was released, the option to save for editing in a lower

version was completely removed and the coding of the save file was completely different.

While some may view this as a somewhat microscopic problem, when the same thing happens on the

bigger scale, it can prove to be much more problematic.

Very Problematic for that matter.

Even now in 2018, I am seeing articles popping up speaking of this same topic.

The "Digital Dark Age".

"We may [one day] know less about the early 21st century than we do about the early 20th

century," says Rick West, who manages data at Google.

"The early 20th century is still largely based on things like paper and film formats

that are still accessible to a large extent; whereas, much of what we're doing now — the

things we're putting into the cloud, our digital content — is born digital.

It's not something that we translated from an analog container into a digital container,

but, in fact, it is born, and now increasingly dies, as digital content, without any kind

of analog counterpart."

An interesting point is made here further down in this article, and it points directly

towards both forward and backward compatability of files.

Computer and data specialists refer to this era of lost data as the "digital dark ages."

Other experts call the 21st century an "informational black hole," because the digital information

we are creating right now may not be readable by machines and software programs of the future.

All that data, they worry — our century's digital history — is at risk of never being

recoverable.

Photographers are (or should be) acutely aware of this challenge for their own digital work.

In fact, there are two inter-related questions that loom over your files: how long will the

physical media you're storing digital photos on last and will your image files be readable

on the machines of the future?

As more and more new mediums of storage come into the eye of the public, older mediums

of storage slowly become obsolete, and the data stored on many of these older devices

may no longer be available to look over.

Even the newer sources of storage can be completely destroyed.

The reality is that servers can be completely wiped out or rewritten, and while I'm not

saying that the internet will be completely shutdown at any point, I am saying that we

should be aware of the fact that all data is not safe.

All the information that we hold can be lost at any point in time.

So it may be a good time to attempt to save at least some of what you have in the physical

form.

It may seem tedious but what is best for you is not always what you want.

Young Talents: Pablo Maffeo, Girona FC - Duration: 1:44.

He made his debut at the young age of 15 with the Espanyol reserve side in the Second Division B.

Pablo Maffeo quickly became one of the star players in the youth team, his talent was soon spotted

by Manchester City.

In 2013, before he was 16 years old, the young talent from Sant Joan Despi received an offer from the

English club, and he is still on their books today.

He played in their junior sides and made his debut with the first team under Pep Guardiola.

It was in a preliminary round of the Champions League against Steaua Bucharest.

In 2015 he was loaned to Girona FC.

His time at the Catalan club has been divided into three distinct phases, all of which have helped his development

as a player.

First the season in which he just missed promotion with the club,

next, the year he celebrated promotion to LaLiga

and finally playing in the top flight of Spanish football.

Last season he got his first goal in a game against Gimnastic Tarragona. He is currently one of the key

players in Pablo Machin's side.

When they faced FC Barcelona the coach gave him the most difficult task one could ask of a defender:

marking Messi.

Maffeo didn't let him down.

He successfully shadowed the Argentinian for the 80 minutes he was on the field.

Despite his side's defeat, it will take a long time for the defender to forget the day when he stopped Messi

from being Messi.

Hace 10 años... en la Jornada 19 de LaLiga 2007/2008 - Duration: 3:18.

Ten years ago, a brace from Ruud Van Nistelrooy helped Real Madrid to a win against Levante and a new record.

Thanks to this victory, Schuster's team, with 47 points from 19 games, had their best first half of the

season in 20 years.

While there seemed no end to Real Madrid's fine streak, another team's run came to an end.

Espanyol had gone unbeaten in the league and cup for 17 games, a record for the club.

Then they came up against an old acquaintance,

Kalu Uche, an ex-budgie, who got the only goal for Almeria.

Joaquin Caparros also came up against his old side.

The Athletic coach got an excellent win against the team that meant so much to him, Sevilla.

Meanwhile in Camp Nou, Samuel Eto'o put the icing on the cake in a 4-0 thrashing of Murcia.

The Cameroonian scored twice, before leaving the club temporarily,

as the 'Indominable Lion' had to return to his homeland to compete in the African Cup.

He left the field to enthusiastic applause. His place in the side was taken by a player making his debut in the

first team, Pedro Rodriguez, or 'Pedrito' as he was then known.

Diego Milito was another player who got two goals, this time for Zaragoza, but it wasn't enough for his club

against Mallorca. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.

The poor form of the Aragonese club resulted in the sacking of their coach Victor Fernandez.

Joseba Llorente, didn't get two but three goals for Valladolid against Recreativo.

It was a very special hat-trick, the first for a player from los pucelanos in LaLiga.

The last matchday of the first half of the season resulted in some agonising wins,

like that of Villarreal against Deportivo with two goals from Nihat in three minutes,

or Betis' victory against Getafe.

The decisive factor in that game was Pavone's accuracy in front of goal and the great performance between the

sticks of the keeper, Ricardo.

Will Everyone Receive the Same Reward? | Little Lessons with David Servant - Duration: 7:59.

Will everyone receive the same reward?

Hi, welcome to a Little Lessons, another special Burma edition.

On our previous lesson we were talking about what happens when you die.

And, I emphasized the fact that your spirit evacuates your body, and maybe angels transport

you to the throne of God.

Sooner or later, it doesn't really make any difference in eternity, sooner or later, we

all have to stand before God and give an account.

I emphasized last time that we'll be judged by our works on two levels.

One level is to determine whether or not we truly believe in Jesus, because people who

are born again, they're changed.

They're transformed, and the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of them and begins to clean

them up.

Now, we have to cooperate.

God doesn't take away our free will, but he goes right to work on some really grievous

stuff.

And that's why Paul said, "Don't be deceived brother.

The fornicators, adulterers, the effeminate, the covetous, swindlers and thieves, they

will not inherit the Kingdom of God."

People that really believe in Jesus stop those grievous sins, and they're transformed.

The Holy Spirit helps them in all this, and the Holy Spirit helps us along the whole pathway

as we strive to enter by the narrow gate.

So we're judged on one level by our works to determine whether or not we really believe

in Jesus or not.

And then secondly, we're judged by our works to determine whether or not, or what kind

of rewards we receive or miss out on receiving.

It's very clear in Scripture that in the reign of Christ, not everyone's gonna be in the

same position in his government.

Jesus talked about one guy being real faithful, and I'll put you in charge of 10 cities.

Another guy being pretty faithful, and being in charge of five cities.

Okay, so that's a little differentiation there in our positions during the reign of Christ.

And then, of course, there are other awards that are alluded to in Scripture.

We don't always know exactly what those are.

Now, I want to talk about these rewards a little bit, and that judgment a little bit,

the judgment of our works as believers in Christ.

And there's a really cool scripture in 1 Corinthians chapter three, where Paul's talking about

himself and Apollos, a guy who was a teacher.

Who after Paul laid the foundation there, establishing the Church in Corinth, Apollos

came in and was doing some teaching.

And, the Corinthians were dividing up as to who their favorite teacher was, and some were

saying, "I'm a Paul."

Some were saying, "I'm of Apollos."

So Paul says, "Hey.

All we are is just servants of Jesus Christ."

And we're each gonna receive, now listen closely, our own reward according to our own labor.

And, that's where I'm gonna break into 1 Corinthians chapter three right now.

Paul said in verse number six, "I planted.

Apollos waters.

But God was causing the growth.

So neither the one who plants, nor the one who waters is anything by God who causes the

growth.

Now, he who plants, and he who waters are one, but each will receive his own reward

according to his own labor, for we are God's fellow workers, and you are God's field, God's

building."

And now he builds on this building analogy.

"According to the grace of God, which is given to me like a wise master builder, I laid a

foundation and another is building upon it."

That's referring to Apollos, the teacher.

"But, each man must be careful how he builds on it, for no man can lay a foundation other

than the one, which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

Now, here's where it gets interesting.

"If any man builds on the foundation with," and now he lists six different materials that

you could build with, "Gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man's work

will become evident for the day will show it, because it is to be revealed with fire.

And the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work."

So in those six building materials, you noticed that three could be burned up - wood, hay,

and stubble - and three were not so easy to burn - gold, silver, and precious stones.

The gold, silver and precious stones represent building with God's materials.

And the wood, hay, and stubble represent building with something other than God's materials,

which could be man's materials.

And Paul said, "One day, all of those works are gonna go through the fire, and it will

test the quality."

It may not be so obvious right now who's building with gold, and silver, and precious

stones, and who's building with wood, hay, and stubble.

But, it'll be evident that day, because God's going to put all of our works through the

fire.

Then he goes on, "If any man's work, which he has built on it, remains, he will receive

a reward."

So when it goes through the fire, if it comes out the other side you get a reward.

If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss.

That is you don't get the reward.

"But he, himself will be saved yet so as through fire."

So, this is not talking about salvation now.

He's talking about rewards for people who've already proven themselves to be believers.

And get this, there's gonna be believers who are gonna have their works go through the

fire, and they're gonna all be burnt up, and they'll get no reward that they could have

gotten otherwise had they built with a different material.

So, we can begin to conjecture what kind of things are works that build with gold, and

silver, and precious stones, and what are the kind of things that sometimes people do

that are works that'll just be categorized as wood, hay, and stubble.

I think the biggest determining factor will be if what we do is according to the will

of God.

And so we ought to line up to what God tells us to do in this word.

And there's so much that's done under the banner of Christianity these days that it

might be good, but it's not something you can find an example of in the scripture.

A lot of things, and there's a lot of preachers today who, I don't think that they're unsaved,

but yet if you ... Maybe they are.

But if you listen to their sermons, they're not teaching what the Bible teaches, they're

teaching something other than what the Bible teaches.

Well, if those guys are actually saved, when they stand in front of Jesus and those sermons

go through the fire, those un-Biblical sermons are all gonna be burnt up, like any un-Biblical

works.

And, of course, our motives come into play here too, because Jesus warned about doing

things to be seen by others.

You get your reward in full, so I suppose there'll be some of us who are presenting

works, but put them on that conveyor belt, and they'll go into the fire, and out they'll

come the other side all burnt up because even though they were good works, they weren't

done with the right motives.

They were done to build our own kingdom, or let people see how great we were or something.

Okay, so this is sobering stuff.

Oh my goodness.

And, be good to pray, "Lord can you help me get ready for this judgment?

I don't want to have anything burn up, so if there's gonna be anything burn up in the

future, I'd like to know right now so I can avoid that."

And God loves us.

He'll reveal to us if there's stuff we're doing right now that's ultimately gonna be

burnt up one day.

Why wait?

What an embarrassment it's gonna be then.

Better to get it over with now.

Get that embarrassment over with right now, and you can confess it and get on track with

the Lord.

Okay.

This is a much bigger subject than I have time for in this little lesson, but it's worth

spending time on.

Okay.

Thanks for joining me.

God bless.
