Waching daily Jan 19 2018

Take a breath

Take a long look around

Before you step

'Cause the tide is coming.

Swallowing the ground

And there's no way to tell

if we will drown tonight,

Or we'll be found tonight.

Come in close;

if the current gets us,

Then it gets us both.

And we can't wait here anymore-

So if the waves come,

let 'em take us-

As they cover you and me,

and they pull us underneath-

I hope that fate will forgive us

for tempting the sea.

I hope that

they won't forget us

But we cannot go back to the way

it used to be.

Take it in

take a good look at

What it might have been.

As we're swept into the water from the shore,

Because there's no way they can tell us

that we can't have more

Because we can have more.

As the waves come,

let 'em take us-

As they cover you and me,

and they pull us underneath-

I hope that fate will forgive us

for tempting the sea.

I hope that they won't forget us

No we cannot go back to the way it used to be.

So certain,

where it would take us-

So sure that we were never lost

To notice whether we'll be drowned tonight

or found tonight...

So as the waves come,

let 'em take us-

As they cover you and me,

and they pull us underneath-

It takes the shape of

who will save us.

When it leaves it's hard to know,

But I will not let you go.

I hope that fate will forgive us

for tempting the sea.

I hope that they won't forget us-

No we cannot go back

to the way it used to be.

I hope that they won't forget us-

No we cannot go back to the way it used to be.

Awesome Tips and Tricks - Oliver Knott on various aquarium substrates - Duration: 3:05.

Hi, it is me Oliver Knott.

Today I am here to demonstrate various types of substrate.

especially soil

I will talk about that in a minute

First I will you show you some classic types that you can acquier for your tank

This is Sand

It is perfect for decorating specific parts in your aquarium

like a beach ambiance or for fish living near the ground.

This is gravel, as you know it for years.

If it is neutral, not emitting lime, it is very suitable for plants

and colored gravel - very popular lately

Plastic-coated gravel is available in different colors.

Black, or brown, like here.

Pink, blue - if you like?

wonderfully suitable for your aquarium.

But number one to choose for aquascapers is soil.

Therfore I will go a little bit into detail here.

Best way for all aquascapers is soil.

95% are imported from Japan

It is obtained in areas with vulcanic sources.

It is basically earth from mother nature

which was baken in two steps and is still very nutritious

but stills stays very soft in the core.

You can crush it with your finger

There you go: volcanic ash in your hand.

Plants love this kind of substrate because

it lowers the PH value

and reduces your waters hardness.

In addition to that the plants will grow much faster

And the whole aquarium system itself works much smoother

And if you have already seen the difference between plant growth

in soil and gravel. You will agree.

This is the decisive difference among those two

For usage it is very important to know

what to do and what not

First policy: Never wash your soil!

Just put the soil in your tank anf fill your tank afterwards

Washing will destroy the structure

Soil works a little different here than the other types of substrate

Second thing is to consider a regulary water change

in the first three or four weeks, depending on your soil.

Because your soil reduces hardness and the PH value

by changing 20% water every second day,

your aquarium has enough buffer.

After three to four weeks everything will stabilize.

And your plants will grow like crazy.

Marion Roger, dayuse.com - Phocuswright 2017 - Duration: 3:09.

(bright music)

- We facilitate the ability for the consumer

to book a hotel room just for the day.

We're a marketplace that puts people willing

to pay hotels money for the room for the day

together with hotels that are happy to take their money.

- [Interviewer] And how has the industry reacted

to that product because it's a little bit,

it's a new product, a new concept, a new idea.

- Well it's new, but after last year,

with our win at Phocuswright as

the People's Choice, it was amazing because

we had $21 million of consumed day stays

on our platform in the last year.

And we think a lot of it is because after the win

at Phocuswright, the hotels and the press endorsed us

and embraced us, and the production and the

transaction volume has spiked to 200%, 300%.

I can give you some examples.

We've got over 200 properties just in North America.

On a quarterly basis, we're looking

at over a million dollars in day stays with just

a couple of hundred hotels.

We've got over 4,000 on the platform now.

Last year, when we met, we were only just reaching 3000.

We were averaging around a thousand day reservations daily.

We're now at around 2,500, and we're projected

to exceed easily 5,000 hotels and perhaps 35 million

in consumed stays within the next year.

I mean, our transaction trajectory has been in such,

and I think it was, in a large part, due to the fact

that we're producing and we've been given

the legitimacy of Phocuswright.

- [Interviewer] And then, obviously, the move now into Asia

is really going to help that expansion.

- Yeah, I mean, it was a market just waiting to happen.

We've already got 60 properties on the platform.

And it's growing tremendously in terms

of transactions, volume, and dollars.

We now have our first hotel in Taiwan.

We're opening Japan. We have hotels in Sydney.

We've got about 65 in the Asian market

that are in the queue waiting to come in.

We're probably going to have an office in Shanghai.

I mean, the demand is there. We just need to

get into market and say, okay, here's where you sign up.

- [Interviewer] I can understand, from

a business perspective, the value of dayuse for a hotel.

But what has actually happened?

You've launched the product.

How are the consumers really using it?

- Well, every time you think that you've thought up

the last possible use case, a new one comes around.

We have people who will actually rent a suite

for a couple of hours to do a Skype interview

for a big job because they want people

to think that's where they live.

You have Canal Plus in France who's booked

a corporate deal with us to allow any

of their journalists whenever they're launching

a new TV show or movie or anything of that nature

to bring the journalists in for the interview.

There's always something new happening,

and I think, right now, one of the biggest trends

is thanks to our friends at Al-Qaeda and Airbnb.

You actually have people willing to pay just for places

to leave their bags for the day when they have

to check out at 10 in the morning

and their flight's at 5:00 P.M.

They're not maybe necessarily always interested in

being in the room. They want a safe place

to leave their belongings.

Rode NT-1 & AI-1 Package Review - Duration: 7:54.

Today, we'll present...

The awesome studio kit from Rode

Say something!

Nevermind, let's talk about it.

Sawasdee!

I'm Eak, Fuzion.

I'm Day, Fuzion.

Today, we're here with...

The Complete Studio Kit

In comes in a big box like this! There's many things in here.

All-in-one

Happy meal

No, it's not a...

McDonalds

It's a Bento box.

Let's call it Bento.

it's versatile, many purposes indeed

What are they for?

Let's take a look at them a bit.

A little bit

Just a bit!

Enough! We'll be back.

We're back!

And the box is already unpacked.

All of these are from this box.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5... 5 of them!

What are they?

Let's do it in order from the left.

This one is a shock mount

And it's used for...

To shock your mount

See? It can be vibrated.

It's used to isolate the microphone from vibrations

To attach it, the socket is here, so you attach it with the mic stand.

Hello, test. Hello, test.

Not yet, not yet.

And this one is an audio interface.

Could you tell them some more details?

What is it used for?

I don't know how to say 'interface' in Thai, though.

This audio interface is really high quality. I can confirm

I think we should start talking about this one first.

This audio interface has an XLR microphone output over here.

It's also a combo that can be used with TRS (1/4") input.

Any TRS output that you have like a guitar or whatever.

There is a volume button here.

In case that you want to use 48v phantom power, just give it a press

Seriously?

Of course! So we use our favorite condenser microphones as well

Because phantom power is required for condenser mics.

So you don't have to use only the mic provided in the kit.

You don't need to. Any mic can be used with it.

But our mic is of very high quality.

Oh I mean, other series of Rode microphone.

Oh, I see. It can be used with any mics, Rode or otherwise

I'm curious if it really has an input for guitar.

Yeah, right. It's for musical instruments of almost any type.

Not only guitar, but also bass.

...Of course I know!

The next button is used for choosing which way you want to hear the sound.

Like you want to listen to it by a headphone

If you want to check the sound first by your own,

Or you can listen from your computer.

To choose it, press this button over there.

Oh really? We can press those buttons.

And use these 2 buttons for the selection, right?

Yes, of course.

Only pressing, not rubbing.

Just press the button to choose

Between listening to the sound by your headphones

Or from a computer.

Let's say it modifies the sound signal before effect.

And it's also capable of up to 96kHz sampling rate.

Oh wow. That's professional quality

Yes, 96kHz.

With this small guy?

Yes, for the sampling rate, the amount of audio frequencies.

How about another side?

On the back, there is an output for speaker and mixer.

Let's say it's for speaker and mixer.

Amplifier, you mean.

To modify the audio after.

Also, over here, USB-C output

So you can connect it directly to your computer,

Or any other framework interfaces.

So if we connect it to a computer, it will work as a soundcard, right?

Yes, exactly. AI.

What is really interesting is that, I've already tried this one,

It can be used with a powerbank as well.

Power it with an external battery.

Can you imagine that?

Power it up with an external battery. Let's say if I'm going out for a trip,

And you wanna play guitar. So you connect it with a powerbank,

Plug in a guitar, and a pair of active speakers,

And then you can play your guitar anywhere.

Does it need a power supply?

Man! The powerbank!

Just plug it in and that's it.

Oh yeah, and it's heavy-duty.

Durable

High quality for sure.

The audio is great! I've just tried it.

It's great and high quality.

No matter that you will record audio,

Connect with your computer, it's perfect for working at home

And very compact as well.

Here is USB C. It looks like this.

The input looks like this, not really like an input for smartphone.

Oh yeah, right.

But you might find some smartphone that has an input like this.

And importantly, here is a NT microphone.

Right! The main gadget of this studio kit.

This one is a main piece, but so is this.

Oh yeah

This is the NT1 microphone it has a large diaphragm

Lets focuses on the condenser system

This one can receive such a wide range of sound

What is the system called?

Golden Dot

This is professional level stuff

This is one of the top Rode microphones in this series.

And of course it has a filter.

This one is your favorite.

Yeah I like it. It protects the mic from my saliva.

Saliva protector!

No, actually it's used to reduce or eliminate windy or popping sounds.

One more thing. You know what?

If you buy all of these together as a studio kit,

The price is much less than buying them separately.

Of course! You save money on boxes!

It's called a bundle set.

Yeah, a bundle set.

We've already arranged a perfect studio kit.

You can use this kit for many purposes.

Yeah right. Also, this studio kit has just been released, a brand-new one.

If people want to try it, where to go?

Fuzion Far East, block G at RCA

Efesus and a speech by B H Friedman re CFR - Duration: 4:55.

the United States immediately after World War one they set up what they

called the Council on Foreign Relations commonly referred to as the CFR and this

CFR is actually the Illuminati in the United States and its hierarchy the

masterminds in control of the CFR to a very great extent are the descendants of

the original Illuminati conspirators but to conceal that fact most of them

changed their original family names to American sounding names for example the

true name of the dillons Clarence and Douglas Dillon one

secretary of the US Treasury Department is Lipowski I've come back to all this

later there is a similar establishment of the Illuminati in England operating

under the name of the British Institute of International Affairs

there are similar secret Illuminati organizations in France Germany and

other nations operating under different names including the CFR continuously set

up you were a subsidiary or front organizations that are infiltrated into

every phase of the various nations affairs but at all times the operations

of these organizations were and our masterminded and controlled by the

internationalist bankers who in turn were and are controlled by the

Rothschilds the details of how they accomplish the setting up of the CFR in

the United States yes also in the other nations are far too voluminous to be

described in this dissertation but you can find it complete in news bulletin

number 122 and titled you in the spawn of the Illuminati and news

bulletin number 123 entitled CFR completely unmasked as Illuminati both

are published by the cinema educational guild post-office box 46205

Hollywood California you can get them for $0.50 per copy by writing to that

address those news bulletins reveal the names of the original founders of the

Illuminati and the Americanized names of their descendants and the present CFR

now I'll go back to the activities of the original Illuminati conspirators one

branch of the rock child's family had financed napoleon another branch of the

Rothschilds both branches the real masterminds of the Illuminati financed

Britain Germany and the other nations in the Napoleonic Wars

immediately after the Napoleonic Wars the Illuminati assumed that all the

nations were so destitute and so weary of wars that they'd be glad for any

solution so the Rothschild Stooges set up what they call the Congress in Vienna

and at that meeting they tried to create the first League of Nations their first

attempted one-world government on the theory that all the crowned heads of

European governments were so deeply in debt to them that they would willingly

or unwillingly serve as their Stooges but the Czar of Russia caught the stench

of the plot and completely torpedoed it the enraged Nathan Rothschild then the

head of that dynasty filed that some day he or his descendants would destroy the

Czar and his entire family and his descendants did accomplish that very

threat in 1917 at this point bear in mind that the

Illuminati was not set up to operate on a short-range basis normally a

conspirator of any type enters into a conspiracy with the expectation of

achieving his objective during his own lifetime but that was not the case with

the Illuminati true they hope to accomplish their objective during their

lifetime but paraphrasing the show must go on

the Illuminati operates on the very long-range basis whether it will take

scores of years or even centuries they have dedicated their descendants to keep

the plot boiling until they hope the conspiracy is achieved

What's Free To You? [Book Review] - Duration: 4:59.

What's free to you?

What's free to me? Same thing it is to you, you tell me.

(Laugh) It's just a feeling…it's just a feeling…

Hey!

So I read A State of Freedom by Neel Mukherjee and it's a book that takes place in India

and contemplates the feelings of displacement told in five independent parts, with some

overlapping going on in between.

"The paper money has disintegrated into wet confetti."

The book opens with a story of an ex-pat taking his son to see his homeland, but everything

and everyone seems so foreign, from the monuments to the traffic, to the beggars.

Then the next part,

There's the adult son who returns from London to his parent's home in Mumbai

or as his family still calls it, Bombay

and is putting together a book of culinary traditions with the help of the cooks and house servants, much to their chagrin

because he's blurring the lines between master and servant or us and them.

[What you doing baby? That's the white people job. We know you white but that's not your job no more. You with us baby, yeah.]

And we follow one servant's migration from her humble beginnings to her captivity and

her journey home, in what was the most engaging chapter for me because the writing was so

cohesive and so heartfelt.

After reading the synopsis, I thought this was going to be a book purely about immigration

in the general sense of moving from place to place or nationality to nationality, and

I guess in some ways it is, but it reads as a marginal experience.

Instead what I found in this book was a sense of mental immigration; it expanded my thinking

on the ideas we have about ourselves and whether we enslave ourselves or free ourselves to

the possibilities of our lives.

Can we migrate between the roles of servant and master, by evaluating who or what we serve

for whatever desired outcome be it money, companionship, or a sense of purpose?

Can we migrate between roles of compliance to roles of rebellion or resistance, by evaluating

how we respond to injustices in our communities?

The circumstances we're born into are no doubt difficult to change let alone escape,

but what the stories in this book suggests isn't so much how we change or escape these

physical boundaries, but that we can change our minds about who we are and who we become

in spite of them.

["Do you know me now?"]

This wasn't an easy read.

I thought the writing was hard to follow at times and had thoughts of DNFing it, especially

during the chapter of the vagrant and his bear.

I really wasn't fond of that chapter with its graphic detail of the bear being made

to dance with a rope through his nose, and even though the books' themes

were elucidated between this particular relationship.

I guess you can say I found it ...unbearable.

*laughing*

But when the story returned to the village where the house servant Milly was from, and

her friendship with Soni began to unfold, I was drawn back in like water to a rice grain.

It was really quite palpable this human need to be free, whether from the shackles of our

environment, or the shackles we fasten ourselves.

From the bear and the bear master, to the house servant Milly being held captive, the

effects of enslavement are manifold and the price for freedom is sometimes skin, and sometimes

just changing your mind.

"The paper money has disintegrated into wet confetti."

I really enjoyed the exploration of how we learn the mechanisms of enslavement whether

we're doing the enslaving or becoming enslaved.

And so I ended up going down this rabbit hole of thoughts on mental slavery… like people

who are enslaved to the idea, or the pursuit of money, and it's in human's nature to sacrifice

people or being good to people.

Or when you're enslaved to people, or the pursuit of people and companionship, it's

in human's nature to sacrifice all else, work, money, sense, and before you know it

you're incessantly checking his social media and scrolling through his likes on Twitter

ad nauseam.

[Ughhh]

But as human beings, can we truly achieve a state of freedom?

Is freedom a fleeting thing, a state of being, or just a concept?

Do we even really want freedom?

I know that freedom for me is when I don't have to do my hair, or when I'm lost in a book, or even when I'm dancing

because I'm just moving through my body, not stuck in my head thinking about how to get something or someone, or having

to run away from problems.

I can just…be.

So, what's free to you?

Let us know in the comments what freedom feels like, looks like, whatever "free" means

to you and if you think it's something that's achievable.

As always thanks for watching, until next time remember to read or be read.

I'll talk to you soon. Bye.

I'll tell you what freedom is to me...no fear!

I mean really no fear.

If I could have that, half of my life.

No fear.

Unbearable.

5 Regular Expression Tips for Google Analytics - Duration: 5:26.

Hey there!

I'm Benjamin from Loves Data.

In this video you'll learn the top 5 Regular Expression tips you can use with Google Analytics.

If you're not familiar with Regular Expressions, also known as RegEx, they allow you to do

more advanced matching with the data in your reports.

You can use them when creating segments, building custom reports, applying filters to your reporting

views and more.

By using these top 5 Regular Expression tips you'll be rocking Google Analytics in no time!

And Regular Expressions aren't just limited to Google Analytics, there are a whole range

of other applications too.

Let's jump in and cover the top 5 Regular Expression tips for Google Analytics!

Tip number 1 is - to use the 'or' statement.

This is a powerful way to immediately speed up the way you use Google Analytics.

For example, we can use a table filter like this one in the 'all pages' report to just

focus on a selection of important pages.

However, we can speed things up by using a Regular Expression that includes an 'or' statement...

Here's the same example, but this time we're using a Regular Expressions with pipes to

say we want to match the first, the second or the third page.

You can also extend this to include additional pages by adding another pipe and then including

another page.

You can also apply this technique anytime you need to match multiple values in Google

Analytics, from multiple acquisition sources, keywords, geographic locations, anything at

all.

And if you're wondering where to find the pipe symbol it's typically located with the

backslash key on your keyboard.

Tip number 2 is - where we match everything in our Regular Expression.

This might sound strange, but it's a quick and flexible way of matching elements where

we don't know all of the possible values (or we don't want to include all of them in our

expression).

To match everything we use a full stop (which says 'match any single character') immediately

followed by an asterisks (which says 'match zero or more times').

When we combine the full stop and the asterisks this is saying 'match zero or more of any

character', so match everything.

Let's say we're using the all pages report again, but this time we just want to see blog

posts that relate to the topic of 'analytics'.

I can use the table filter to search for... forward slash, blog, forward slash, then full

stop, asterisk, and then analytics.

This allows me to find any page from my blog that also includes 'analytics' in the page

path.

Tip number 3 is - to match things at the beginning.

For example, if we are using the Search Console reports in Google Analytics and we want to

see all of the search queries that begin with our brand name, we can use this regular expression...

The caret symbol says that there can't be anything before our expression.

It must be at the beginning.

So for our example we're saying that 'loves' must be at the start of the search query.

There can't be anything before 'loves', so this would match 'loves' and also 'loves'

with any additional characters following it.

This is also useful for matching particular pages and even particular folders in your

reports.

Here's another example...

In this case the regular expression will match all pages in our report that begins with forward

slash blog.

Tip number 4 is - to match thing to the end.

Let's say that we want to configure a goal in Google Analytics that tracks a conversion

for every page that ends in 'thank you'.

We can quickly achieve this using a Regular Expression.

Here's what our goal configuration would look like...

You'll notice that we've selected 'regular expression' as the match type for the goal

and then we've entered... thank dash you followed by the dollar sign.

This means that the expression will only match strings ending in thank you.

It won't match any pages where there are additional characters after thank you.

Tip number 5 is - using brackets to make a list of items to match.

This is similar to the first tip, but can be used in the middle of an expression.
