- What's up, guys? What're you up to? I'm at Shabushi. There's a hot pot with spicy soup.

- I have 1 hour and 15 minutes to eat so... let's get busy!

- The plates are very small and the technique is very clear here: throwing in things to be cooked.

- They bring the bill after seating. It says when I should leave. 1 hour and 15 minutes left.

- Time's against you but 1:15h eating non-stop should be enough. Moreover, I came by myself.

- I've got this green thing to drink. I'm not sure what it is. It tastes like lemon sorbet.

Using Ride Sharing Service Abroad | Tips & Tricks When Using Uber & Lift When Traveling - Duration: 5:31.

Hi there, it's Ernest from Trip Astute. In this video, we're discussing some tips on

using ride-sharing services, like Uber, when traveling abroad.

(light chiming music)

As many of you know, Uber has been pretty aggressive with expanding their services around the

world. So much so that some places have seen protests from taxi operators and

unions who feel extremely threatened by their presence. While Uber counters that

they're creating new jobs, some feel like the money is being extracted rather than

invested back in their country. While the politics of the service is complicated

and controversial, I have to admit that the service is extremely useful when

traveling abroad. In fact, when given the choice between using a local taxi or

Uber, I usually prefer to use Uber since the service is usually cheaper and I

like the fact that I don't have to negotiate the fee or exchange money with

the driver. That being said, using ride-sharing

services in a foreign country can sometimes be confusing, especially when

getting a ride from the airport. So today, I thought we would run through some tips

to help you use the service when abroad. Number 1: Research the airport pick-up

information before your trip. Most times you'll see specific airport

information when you open the Uber app that should tell you where to get your

pick-up. However, it doesn't hurt to get information online in advance. I remember

arriving at Bangkok Airport a few years ago and having a spotty network

connection. I was struggling to find the pick-up spot and level, and I couldn't

seem to get any information online. Luckily, I was able to ask around and

figure it out. But in retrospect, I wish I had just checked out the Uber page for

Bangkok ahead of time so I knew what to expect. Number 2: Send a photo of your

location. When your driver arrives, there can sometimes be confusion on the exact

location of your pickup, especially if there are multiple levels at the airport.

What I've done in the past is to send a photo of my location to my driver,

especially when I don't speak the local language. The messaging feature in the

Uber app allows you to send photos to your driver, so don't hesitate to send

visual information to help find your ride.

Number 3: Review your pick-up location. Don't assume

that your current location is the exact pick-up location. In some places,

Uber will request that you walk to a better location in order to meet your

driver. We noticed this in Lisbon, where the Uber app usually requested that we

meet our driver away from the busy roads. Number 4: Know your options. Just

because you've used Uber in your home country doesn't mean that you've seen

all of our service offerings. For example, you can request an uberMOTO, which is

essentially an UberX style motorcycle ride. While it's probably not the best

option when you're trying to carry luggage from the airport, it's definitely a

unique option when getting around town. Number 5: Add a credit card to your

account. While I usually use Apple Pay when using Uber and Lyft in the United

States, I noticed that the app required a credit card when using it in Europe,

specifically in Portugal. As always, I recommend using a card that not only

avoids any foreign transaction fees, but also one that rewards you for using ride

sharing services, like the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Preferred card. Number 6: If

you have a bag in the trunk, don't exit the vehicle before your driver. This tip

actually applies to both ride-sharing and taxi rides. I've not personally had a

driver steal my luggage, but I always suggest remaining vigilant of your security

and belongings. If you have a bag in the trunk of the vehicle, I would suggest waiting

for the driver to get out of the car before you do. I might be overly paranoid

about this, but I think it's good practice and it minimizes the chance of

a driver leaving with your bags in the car, whether it's on purpose or by

accident. Number 7: Be cautious of partner services.

While Lyft is expanding internationally, they do have some partnerships in

countries. I used the Lyft app when I was traveling in Thailand, and it basically

matched me with a driver from a local ride-sharing service. Everything seemed to

be working ok, and I ended up getting picked up from my hotel. The trouble came

when I got to my destination. The driver wanted me to pay and I tried to explain

that the payment was made through the app. I ended up sitting in a car for

another 15 minutes while the driver made calls to their ride sharing service

company to confirm the payment. It looks like

Lyft is trying to expand natively in countries now, so this might not be an

issue anymore. However, just be weary of any situations

where you might be using another partner service from within the app. Number 8:

Have a plan B. While Uber and Lyft are awesome services, they are still new

There's Clean (Frozen) Water on Mars! - Duration: 5:22.

[ ♪ Intro ♪ ]

Okay, let's be honest: We have found a lot

of water on Mars.

The planet has vast underground ice deposits, enough polar ice for a global flood, and maybe

even some sort of liquid water flowing every now and then.

By now, no one really doubts that Mars used to be wet, and that ancient water is still

trapped in or on the planet.

What they do argue about is whether future astronauts would be able to use that water,

or whether it's too inaccessible or dirty to even try.

But according to a paper in last week's issue of the journal Science, at least some

places on Mars have gigantic drinkable glaciers sitting just below the surface.

So get your space pickaxes ready.

When we hear someone say there's ice beneath Mars's surface, it's easy to imagine buried

glaciers of pure frozen water.

But that's not always what scientists mean.

Many of them have traditionally pictured Mars's ice closer to a sort of concrete, with ice

crystals mixed with dust grains and rock fragments.

Still, it's been hard to tell if that's right because so much of the ice is underneath

layers of dust and rock.

We know it's there because of indirect measurements, but those measurements don't tell us tons

about how mixed it is with the surrounding rocks.

So in this new study, the authors looked for a more direct way of understanding Mars's ice:

Pictures.

They used photos from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter to investigate eight hills where erosion

has revealed what's beneath the surface dust -- sort of like seeing the layers of

rock in the Grand Canyon.

Each hill had a layer of pretty much pure ice -- with hardly any rocks or dust mixed

in -- sitting within a couple meters of the surface layers.

The scientists found the ice by looking at enhanced-color images, since everything on

Mars is tinted red with dust.

And in those images, the hillside ice practically glowed blue like a glacier on Earth.

The team also confirmed it was ice using other methods, like measuring what sorts of electromagnetic

radiation it gave off.

And they found that the ice layers were tens or even a hundred meters thick.

Those ice reserves could be vital sources of drinking water of course for future astronauts.

But by splitting water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, the ice could also help produce

breathable air, too.

But the ice sheets didn't just appear on Mars.

Models show that they probably came from gigantic snowstorms millions of years ago.

So like on Earth, future scientists could also drill into these ice layers and learn

how the Martian climate has changed over time.

And that could answer some surviving questions about why the Red Planet is so dry.

Still, before we can even think about using that water, we should probably figure out

how to safely send people to Mars.

Baby steps.

Besides looking at Mars, astronomers have also been working on a much larger mystery:

why galaxies give off so much light.

Specifically, certain wavelengths of infrared light.

They've known about this for years, but they've had trouble identifying the culprit.

See, no one molecule or small group of molecules seemed to exactly match the observations.

But another paper in the same issue of Science has helped zero in on where all that extra

light is coming from.

With this study, the authors were trying to confirm a previously proposed idea: that the

glow wasn't just from one or a few molecules, but a huge class of them.

This class is called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, or PAHs.

These are rings of carbon atoms surrounded by nothing but hydrogen.

There are over a hundred different PAHs, and the larger ones tend to emit similar kinds

of infrared light when they move around in empty space.

So it's possible that the glow astronomers saw from galaxies could be the combined light

of dozens of distinct but similar PAHs.

But no one has ever conclusively seen one of these molecules in outer space, and scientists

weren't sure how they'd form.

Also, their light blends together so well that it's hard to tell if any one specific

molecule is actually out there.

That's where this new study comes in.

Instead of looking for individual PAHs, the researchers used radio telescopes to search

for light given off by precursor molecules that can easily react to form them.

These molecules are sometimes known as PA(N)Hs, where the "N" stands for a nitrogen atom

where there would be a hydrogen in a true PAH.

The additional nitrogen makes these molecules sort of off-balance, so they rotate and vibrate

more distinctly than a lot of the symmetrical molecules do.

And that makes them give off more light.

To search for these molecules, the researchers looked at the Taurus Molecular Cloud, a cloud

of gas and dust about 400 light-years away.

There, they found one of these building blocks, known as benzonitrile.

It isn't a big molecule -- it only has thirteen atoms -- but it is important, and finding

it in outer space means we must be on the right track.

Benzonitrile reacts easily with other molecules to produce exactly the kinds of PAHs that

could make galaxies glow in infrared.

So it could explain how the PAHs ended up in space in the first place.

Now, there's still some way to go before this mystery is completely solved.

For one, we'd like to actually identify a PAH in space.

And there's still some uncertainty about where these precursor molecules, like benzonitrile,

would come from.

But now, we're at least more confident that all those steps are somewhere on the ladder.

We just need to fill in the details.

The liberal media might be enamored with talk show host, actress and all-around celebrity

Oprah Winfrey at the moment, but the American people feel quite differently.

A recent Politico/Morning Consult poll found that Winfrey leads President Donald Trump

by only a meager 2 percentage points, 40 percent to 38 percent, in a head-to-head match.

�Among Democrats, Winfrey would lead Trump, 73 percent to 9 percent,� Politico reported.

�Trump has a similar advantage among Republicans, 76 percent to 11 percent. Independents tilt

slightly toward Winfrey, 35 percent to 30 percent, with another 35 percent undecided.

Keep in mind that failed Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton carried a larger lead

against Trump in the days leading up to the 2016 presidential election, as can be seen

in the following chart from RealClearPolitics:

That means the ending for an Oprah bid could well be just as disastrous as it was for Hillary

Clinton in the early hours of Nov. 9, 2016.

The Politico/Morning Consult poll uncovered something else as well: In head-head primary

matchups, Democrats overwhelmingly prefer Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders over Winfrey by

9 percentage points, and former President Joe Biden over Winfrey by a stunning 23 percentage

points.

The only way Winfrey would win a Democrat primary election would be if she were to go

up against New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, whom she�d beat by 21 points, or Massachusetts

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, whom she�d defeat by four points.

But against men like Sanders and Biden, she�d lose massively, which is odd given the Democrats�

constant, hypocritical cries for female empowerment.

Of course, being in favor of female empowerment doesn�t mean one must vote for a woman,

but that�s not what the Democrats said during the 2016 election.

�There�s a special place in hell for women who don�t help each other,� former Secretary

of State State Madeleine Albright, a die-hard supporter of Clinton, announced at a campaign

event in early 2016, months before the Democrat National Convention.

Notorious feminist Gloria Steinem likewise �called on young women who supported Mr.

Sanders to essentially grow up and get with the program,� according to a report from

The New York Times published around the same time.

Yet after Clinton clinched the Democrat nomination with a victory over Sanders, she lost to Trump

in the general election, due in part to the votes of white women.

�Clinton lost the votes of white women overall and struggled to win women voters without

a college education in states that could have propelled her to victory,� Nate Silver�s

FiveThirtyEight revealed after the election.

Speaking last year with Kelsy Kretschmer, an assistant professor at Oregon State University

and a co-author of a study examining women�s voting patterns during the 2016 election,

one of these white women revealed �that she had voted for (Trump) over Clinton because

her husband�s job depends on the coal industry,� according to The Guardian.

Here�s the kicker: This unnamed woman reportedly identified as a liberal Democrat.

Pieced together, this wide assortment of data � from the recent Politico/Morning Consult

poll to Clinton�s poor performance in the 2016 election � suggests that voters, including

Democrat voters, care more about electing individuals capable of getting the job done

than they do about electing them based on superficial traits such as race or gender.

And that�s really bad news the Democrat Party.

For Oprah, it could be disastrous.

JBugs - 1963 VW Beetle - Throw Out Shaft Replacement - Duration: 4:56.

In the midst of prepping our 1963 resto custom Beetle for a new master cylinder,

we decided to pull the pedal assembly in order to clean it up and swap out to a roller pedal.

We started that process by disconnecting the clutch cable from the clutch arm

when we noticed that the clutch return spring was broken.

This gave us an opportunity to cover the removal and installation of a clutch operating shaft

and the associated bushings and parts.

This repair is done with the engine out of the car

as getting to the cross shaft inside the transmission would be impossible with the engine in place.

We have the front wheels chocked and the back of the car is jacked up and set up on jack stands already.

Inside the bell housing, on the transmission, the throw out bearing clips are popped off the shaft

and the throw out bearing is removed.

The clutch cable adjustment nut is loosened from the cable with a wrench.

1966 and later models have a wing nut so no wrench is needed.

Holding the cable with a pair of pliers or vice grips is usually necessary to keep the cable from twisting while removing the nut.

Next, the circlip that holds the clutch arm in place is removed with a pair of snap ring pliers.

The clutch arm can now be removed from the opperating shaft.

Some arms will slide off with just a bit of pulling,

while others like ours require some assistance.

A punch, hammer, and eventually, a three arm puller were needed to pull off the clutch arm.

The difficulty pulling off our clutch arm set the tone for this repair

as the rest of the components took much more effort than they would normally require.

The broken clutch return spring is removed

along with the metal cap

and the bushing set screw is un-threaded from the transmission.

Normally, the shaft could then be pushed towards the main bushing and the bushing could be pulled out.

Then, the shaft can be slid out back into the transmission bell housing and out of the transmission.

Our bushing was stuck, so the hammer and punch came out again and eventually, after breaking off both of the arms,

we removed the shaft and then tapped out the outer bushing from the transmission.

Now, the small end bushing can be slid out of the transmission and again our took more effort than normal.

We modified a distributor drive gear puller to fit inside the bushing and eventually got the bushing out.

The cross shaft installation begins with a new bushing kit shown here.

The original clutch cable arm and shaft cover are kept and will be installed with a new cross shaft inner bushing,

outer 4 piece bushing, which replaces the original bronze bushing, 2 snap rings, a washer and a set screw.

First, the small bushing is greased slightly then pushed into place in the transmission.

The larger outer bushing is greased and slid into the transmission at the opposite side

and the alignment hole is lined up with the set screw.

Then the set screw is threaded in partially- just flush with the edge of the bushing.

The new cross shaft is prepped with a new snap ring slid onto the shaft,

followed by the washer and a greased inner bushing seal.

The shaft is then slid into place

through the outer bushing and with a bit of pressure, pushed in far enough to clear the inner bushing boss on the transmission.

Then it's pushed all the way up the outer arm.

Now, the greased inner bushing is slid onto the shaft, noting the position of the alignment hole.

It is pressed and pushed all the way into the transmission using a flat head screwdriver.

After rotating the shaft back and fourth, and tightening the bushing screw slightly to ensure it is in place,

the bushing set screw is tightened and the arm is rotated to make sure there is no binding in the shaft.

The outer bushing seal is greased and slid over the shaft into the bushing,

followed by the metal cap and the clutch return spring.

The clutch cable arm is then aligned and slipped into place onto the shaft.

Then the clutch return spring is positioned onto the arm then tapped into place on the transmission.

The clutch arm can be tapped onto the shaft all the way passed the snap ring groove.

The snap ring can be installed with the snap ring pliers.

A flat head screwdriver is used to make sure the ring is fully seated in the groove.

Finally, the inner washer and snap ring are tapped into place onto the inner groove and the installation is complete.

With the clutch return spring, bushings, and cross shaft replaced,

we can now get back to our intended job of cleaning up the pedal assembly

and swapping out the accelerator pedal for a rotor pedal.

Spiderman (PS4) 10 Things We Know SO FAR - Duration: 8:42.

The upcoming Spiderman game on the PS4 is in the good hands of Insomniac, but we've

been burnt too many times by super hero games.

We have been shown that they can be done right with the Arkham series so let's hope that

this game scratches that masked vigilante itch, while providing us with some unique

gameplay.

Hey folks, Jake here, and let's talk about ten things we know about the upcoming Spiderman

game so far.

Hitting number ten is the Arkham-like combat.

I mentioned the Batman Arkham games in the intro as a metric to super hero games overall,

and it probably is not the first time anyone has done so.

And, anyone who has seen some gameplay for the Spiderman game can easily notice the combat

heavily resembles those games, but with a bit of Spiderman flair.

There's a rhythm to combat, but it looks like you jump out of the dance anytime you

want.

There are also some quick time events in the form of counters and you even get the predator

missions with Spiderman imitating his cape and cowl DC rival by stealthily taking some

goons down from the rafters.

Emulating the Arkham games is not a bad thing, far from it, let's just hope Spiderman has

enough of his own identity to carry through this game.

At number nine is the fact that Mary Jane will be a playable character.

There are a few changes coming to the character of MJ in this game.

For one, she will no longer be the helpless actress she's been in the past, but she

is, quote, an up-and-coming reporter for the Daily Bugle, which will likely cause Mary

Jane to be on the sidelines of Spiderman's battles more than once.

There's a scene in one of the trailers where she's hiding in a bank while Spiderman tells

her "We've got to play this just right."

Some are speculating we could get some tag-team combat sequences between MJ and Spiderman,

reminiscent of, you guessed it, the Arkham games and the Bat-family.

The developers have said that they want to give another perspective than Spiderman and

Peter Parker's in this world, and they thought what better way to do that than with Mary

Jane.

Hitting number eight is the fact that the web-slinging is physics based on not scripted.

This is a big addition to the Spiderman games, where, in the past, it seems like your webs

just attach to the sky somehow.

According to Insomniac, this is not the case with their game.

They've said that all of the webs have an anchor point and that there is always an attachment

to a building or something else webs can stick to.

It has also been said that the trailer shown off at E3 where Spiderman is running through

the damaged building, basically parkouring and web-slinging himself after a villain was

not scripted.

That is a point that will have to be proven to the community, but Insomniac seems pretty

confident when they say their demoers have all different ways of traversing the city.

If this is true, each chase sequence will be different from the last and it will create

a whole new set of dynamics in a game where we were not expecting it.

At number seven is that the other Spiderman, Miles Morales, will be making some kind of

appearance in this game.

It was confirmed that the character who looks behind him while holding the camera at the

end of the E3 2017 trailer was, in fact, Morales.

While we don't know if he will be playable at any point in the game, we do know that

Mary Jane will be, so there's a chance that Morales may put on his suit to fight beside

Peter at some point.

It could even be like Red Dead Redemption, where Peter dies at the end and Miles takes

over.

That's a stretch, partly because if the game sells well, they'll want a sequel,

but it is fun to speculate.

But, if Miles Morales is a playable character, that could mean any number of Spiderman's

friends could show their faces.

Insomniac said to expect to see familiar characters in new roles, so Morales may not even be a

Spiderman in this game.

Let's keep our fingers crossed, though.

For number six let's talk about the size of the map in the game.

Insomniac have said that Spiderman's New York will be four to six times the size of

the map in Sunset Overdrive, Insomniac's previous effort at an open-world.

It is important to note that Sunset Overdrive's world was built to be more dense and vertical

than most open world games, so you can't really compare it to something like Horizon

Zero Dawn or GTA V, but since Spiderman is at least four times bigger, that's a big

playground to swing around in.

In Sunset Overdrive, part of the fun was traversing the map and grinding those power lines, going

by that I'd say Spiderman will be no different.

Considering Spiderman is a supernaturally gifted skyscraper climber, it looks like an

emphasis on verticality will be in here, too, along with a generally bigger map.

At the halfway point, at number five, is that there is a reason the Spider symbol on Peter

Parker's spider suit is white, we just don't know what it is yet.

Obviously, Spiderman has a classic look, red and blue suit and big white eyes.

People across the world recognize spiderman as Spiderman, even if they've never read

the comics considering how popular the movies are.

So, why did Insomniac choose to highlight Spiderman's costume with a big white spider

logo in their game?

Well, it is impossible to know at this point, unless you work at Insomniac or Marvel, but

some people are speculating it has something to do with the symbiote suit Parker wore for

a brief time in the comics, the same suit that eventually turned Eddie Brock into Venom.

Like I said, there is a reason, but Insomniac is being tight-lipped on it as of now.

Hitting number four is that we know of at least three villains, maybe four, that will

be showing up in the game.

The most prominently featured so far has been Mr. Negative, aka Martin Li.

In case your not caught up on Spiderman's expansive rogues gallery, Mr. Negative is

a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type character.

One part of him, the untransformed part, runs homeless shelters and is a generally nice

dude, but his alter ego, the Mr. Negative, wants to take control of New York by using

his negative energy that he emits from his body that can form into swords.

Naturally, Spiderman doesn't want that to happen, so they butt heads.

Insomniac has revealed Aunt May works at one of his shelters, so there's some nice drama

to play off of.

We've also seen Kingpin, who is operating from a jail cell, we saw shocker in that bank

scene, and we've seen signs with Norman Osborne's, aka Green Goblin's name on

them.

We'll likely see him in some form, but for now we'll just have to speculate.

Hitting number three is that the game's playthrough time is, quote, multiple days.

Recently, the design director of the game tweeted out that he has put in multiple playthroughs

of the game and each one has taken him multiple days to complete.

This could mean a multitude of things depending on his style of play: is he playing as a completionist?

How long is he playing each day?

Is he rushing through on his third time playing since he's well-versed in the game's mechanics

and story?

All these questions need to be answered before we make a reasonable guess at the length of

this game, but we can make an unreasonable guess that the game is pretty beefy.

What it does tell us is that the game is completely playable now, which leads me to the next entry

on this list.

At number two, I just wanted to talk about the game's release date, which is set for

some time in 2018.

I know that does not really help anyone, but as we saw from the game's design director,

the game is fully playable in its current state, but that doesn't mean it is finished.

There is likely going to be some more playtests and tweaking to get the game ready for launch.

Will it come out in 2018 without a delay?

I don't really know, and neither does anyone else, but Insomniac have announced it is coming

this year.

We do know that Miles Morales animated movie is coming out in the middle of December, so

it could come out near that time for some economic synergy, sort of like Batman Arkham

Asylum did with the Dark Knight.

I'll just be thankful if we get our hands on it by the end of this year.

And for the final entry on the list of ten things we know about Insomniac's Spiderman

game so far is that Peter Parker will be a playable character in this game.

Insomniac was cagey about this detail for a long time, but the game's creative director

finally came out and said that Parker will be featured in the game outside of cutscenes

and that, quote, it was "important to have playable sequences as Peter."

We still don't have a single detail about how the Peter Parker sequences will play out,

but we do know he will have a large supporting cast that features aunt May, the aforementioned

Mary Jane and Miles Morales.

Again, we don't know how they will interact, but it's a safe bet that these Peter Parker

sequences will show the more human and dramatic side of the character while Spiderman will

be the character of action.

And that's the list.

NEW Brine Kit on Ventrac SSV for De-icing Sidewalks - Duration: 2:29.

Alright, guys!

We're out here with the SSV, and we've got our newest brine system on it.

This is pretty close to what you'll see in production.

It's not quite ready, but we're getting toward the end.

We wanted to give you a preview of how it's working and how it goes on the machine.

First of all, all of the mounting for the brine system is stainless that's why it's unpainted.

It mounts with some pretty easy brackets right on the front, flat portion of the SSV in about

15 to 20 minutes.

All of the plumbing for the lines run under the machine and out the back.

There you have all the spray nozzles underneath the platform and to the side of the fenders.

You have the option to turn the outer nozzles on or off.

You can run them with both off, both on, or one off while one is on.

This is access to all of your controls for the brine system.

This is the switch to turn the pumps on, and then this switch turns the nozzles on

This is your pressure adjust.

There aren't any guides yet as far as where we will be running that, but we will launch

that when we do the brine system.

This is your spray wand, so while the pumps are running, it is active the whole time.

You have access to take it to stairways or anywhere you can't take the SSV.

Here is a quick operational video of how it works.

You can see the two different spray patterns, down is the narrow, and back is wide.

This will give you somewhere between 36 and about 50 inches of coverage.

That's the brine system on the SSV, stay tuned for more updates soon on when it will be available

for purchase.

How To Make A Crystal And Tassel Bracelet: - Duration: 9:46.

To make this bracelet you'll need bead stringing wire, and we chose 19-strand

for the size of our bead stringing wire and the color we chose is gold so that

it matches our gold findings. You'll also need beads these are gold

nuggets. They're three millimeters. Really pretty. We have 12 of these.

We have 24 peach faceted rondelles, also 3 millimeter and then we have 36 of these

faceted rondelles. These are three millimeters and this color is kind of a

London blue topaz. It reminds me of kind of a dark blue. Very pretty. We also have

three mini tassels that have little gold hoops at the top and a Bead Bug. We're

going to show you this. This is a fun little trick we'll show you. We have a

gold clasp for our bracelet and to attach the clasp we've got two clamshell

bead tips and two gold crimp beads. For tools we've got chain-nose pliers and

wire cutters.

To make the bracelet the first thing you need to do is cut a piece of your bead

stringing wire and we cut a piece about 13 inches long for this bracelet and

then we're going to put our beads on. But before we put our beads on we're going

to use our Bead Bug. So this is the little clever thing we were telling you

about. This is a little spring action clamp and you can put it on the end of

your wire like that and if we do that we can feed the beads on the other end and

they won't slide off of our bracelet wire. That way we don't have to put the

ends on it just yet, we can just do the beading. If you don't have a Bead Bug you

can use masking tape for this, but we think this Bead Bug's really cute. And

then we're gonna put on our beads we have our beads lined up here in the

order we're gonna put them on I just think this is an easy way to work I

separated out 12 of the blue ones then we have 12 of the gold ones now we have

24 here of the blue ones left and 24 of the peach and we're gonna put on in that

order now I don't have to do any counting while I'm putting the beads on

I already did the counting in advance. so that's kind of a fun tip and we're just

gonna put the beads on one at a time and you could feed them on like this this is

a good old-fashioned traditional way of feeding the beads on I find it more

difficult but you can see I can barely get this one on and I prefer to put the

beads in the palm of my hand like this those are the rest of my blue beads and

then kind of poke the end of the wire into the opening of the rondell and they

just go on faster it's also easier to see the bead because your hand is open

there's a lot of light so you can actually see where the hole is to poke

it onto the wire and I just run it down the wire like that and if the bead isn't

turned up right to get out the hole you can tilt the bead with the tip of the

wire like that and tilt it right on and I just think it's much faster than

trying to put them on one at a time with your fingers so there's our first set of

beads and then for this design we decided we're going to put tassels in

between these bead colors so here's our little tassel

and it has a little loop here at the top I'm just gonna feed that on and then

feed on the gold beads they're more rustic so the holes are a little harder

to find and poke into so I'm gonna put these on one at a time and sometimes

you'll have beads that aren't drilled all the way through so you'll want to

make sure you have extra beads because if you run across one that's not neatly

drilled you'll want to just get rid of it and move on to a better bead you

don't want to waste time with a bead that doesn't have a good hole in it and

we got these beautiful gold beads at a bead show and there's some kind of metal

and then dipped in gold so they're not solid gold that would be very expensive

and we just like how much shine they add to this bracelet the other beads are all

faceted rondelles and they have a nice shine tube this really adds something

this brilliant gold color there's my hole right there

now those gold beads are on there and already looking very nice that little

tassel in there and now we're gonna put another tassel on because that's the

design is to put the tassels between the colors and now I'm gonna feed on the

blue ones now we know we can do the blue ones this way so I'm going to go ahead

and put them in the palm of my hand so I can feed them on more quickly the

tassels here we actually made and we have a video and step-by-step

instructions for that if you want to make your own we did it with embroidery

floss so you can do any colors you want or if you don't feel like making your

own tassels you can bind mini tassels we've seen them with the other jewelry

supplies we've actually seen that where you can buy a whole card of them like

six of them already made and they're darling something really cute about a

little tassel now we do one more tassel and feed that on and then we finish with

these peach beads and we just thought this color story looked kind of current

and boho and then the size of these beads they're so

delicate and that's really the look these days you really could make this

with these with any beads but we love these faceted rondelles because all

these facets give you all that light every time I move these you can see all

this glimmering and that's because these have a lot of facets cut on them now we

just have one more bead to feed on our wire here slide that one on and now you

can see the design of the bracelet come together we have the 12 blue beads 12

gold beads 24 blue beads and 24 peach and each color is broken up with one of

these cute little tassels and now we're ready to put on the clasp

to put on the class what we're going to do is we're going to feed on a clamshell

bead tip and the clamshell bead tip is a little metal clam and it has an opening

in the hinge there's a little circle and might put the wire in there you can see

it so there's a little circle I can feed the wire up through that and I'm just

gonna let that hang out on this bracelet and then I'm going to put on a crimp

bead and a crimp bead is a little metal tube that's meant to be crushed so once

I have the crimp bead on there I can crush it onto the wire and it will stay

put on the wire so it's kind of a little stopper now I can trim that wire using

my wire cutters and then this is the fun part of clam shell bead tip I pull the

crimp bead into the clam shell and I can use my chain nose pliers to close the

clam over the crimp bead now it looks like a little gold bead but it's a

stopper it won't come off isn't that neat and then I can use my chain nose

pliers to open up this little loop that's on the clam shell and I can hang

my clasp on there and then I can use this these chain nose pliers to close

that back up so make sure that's nice and tight there so there's our clasp on

one end now we're gonna put the clasp on the other end to do that we're going to

slide all the beads down to the end that already has the clasp here I'm gonna

slide it nice and tight you don't want any movement in here and I'm gonna

remove the bead bug and I'm gonna repeat what we did before I'm gonna slide the

clam shell on first and you want to do it so it's open up so it'll close over

the crimp bead and then I'm going to feed on the crimp bead but instead of

crushing it out here we would have all this slack I'm gonna slide it down

towards the beads so I pull all this pretty taut I'm gonna push this crimp

bead inside the clam so this end is a little harder than the first end

because you want to do work tightly in this space and I'm just going to reach

inside that clam grab the crimp bead and crimp it and then I can trim the wire

like we did before with the wire cutters and close the clam shell over the crimp

bead more magic there it looks like a bead now so neat how that works and then

I'm going to take this hook and put it on the other side of our clasp this is a

little bail clasp a little screw clasp and then I'm going to close that little

loop up so that it's secure and that is our darling Crystal and Tassel

Friendship Bracelet.
