MakeHuman to Blender with IK Bones and Motion Capture (Tutorial) - Duration: 9:41.

Hey everyone this is a follow-up on my previous tutorial on how to import Make

Human files into blender this video will cover more details on importing Make

Human files including how to get better armature with an FK/Ik Switch and also

applying motion capture BVH files onto the character. I will be using Blender

2.79 and make human 1.1.1. This is essentially

a response video to Darrin's tutorial called "blender make human and motion

capture files" which is linked below. Darrin's tutorial is very helpful but

some of the user interface has changed since he published his video three years

ago. I'm making this video to supplement the information in his in case you are

confused like I was when the controls that he's using just aren't there

anymore. *Disclaimer: I'm not an expert. I am

just trying to help out* So first we'll go into MakeHuman I've

already got my human open here. Under skeleton which is under pose/

animate I've got the default rig but based on what I'm going to do, the

rig actually doesn't matter and you'll see why. So I'll go under export,

name my person, and make sure you have the makehuman exchange MHX2 format

selected and just hit export. Alright once that's done you can close it out

Now switching into Blender I'm assuming you've already installed the mhx2 add-on

My previous tutorial is linked below if you have not. So I'm going to delete

this default cube and I'm going over to the mhx2 tab on my toolbar and clicking

the import MHx2 button then I will choose the make human file that I just

exported now here's the important part if you just click import what you will

get is the armature that you chose in make human I had chosen the default

armature which looks like this and if you had chosen something different and

make human you would see the results here if you look under

mhx2 tab on the toolbar you get some functions such as adding face

drivers which helps you control the face but that's about it

I know that in the past you could switch between ik and FK bones but I couldn't

find it anywhere in either the toolbar or in the properties panel on the right

so the trick is when you are importing you need to override exporter data. I'm

switching to another layer and I'm going to import it again. there is basically a

checkbox you need to check on the left side so make sure that's selected then

you go down to rigging and select add rig and then choose a rig type from the

drop-down menu and I like to choose the MHx rig but there are different options

for different purposes and you can experiment with those now when you click

import you can clearly see that there is a different armature and there are also

more controls with these bone groups most importantly probably for many

animators there is now the option to easily switch between FK and IK bones

for instance if you try to move this root bone while the character is in FK

mode which is the default you're going to end up dragging the whole person

around and I'm just pressing G but then if you turn on Ik for both legs which

you can do so under the MHx2 tab on the left there's the FK/IK case switch where

you can easily switch between the two modes now if we drag the same root bone

you can see the person bending down at the knees which can be very useful there

are some other controls also that you didn't have previously but you have now

since you have overridden the export data from

make human and used this rig.

And now I am going to switch over to talk about

how to import bvh files which are motion capture files to use with your character

so first make sure that you have make humans blendertools add-on installed

and you can find this link in my description box below

go down here to download blender tools I'm going to click this button and it

takes me to this page and I am going to choose blender_ plugins_for_1.1.1.zip

I am going to click on this file and

download it again I am using a Mac some of this may be different on a Windows

system but the principle is the same and my computer automatically unzipped

this file so I'm going to open it up and you will find these three folders make

clothes make target and make walk make sure you select all three of them and

you copy these three items and put them into your blender add-ons folder and you

can find that under applications blender right click on the blender icon show

package contents contents resources 2.79 scripts add ons and now you can paste

those three items into this folder

then you can open up blender again you might have to exit the blender

application and open it up again for the changes to show I've already installed

it earlier so when you go in under user preferences add-ons make sure that these

three make human make clothes make target and make walk are all checked and

press save user settings now you have a new tab on the toolbar that says make

walk and this is how we will apply our bvh files there are libraries you can

downloaded bvh files and I've included the link to a good one below you can

make your own motion capture files but I'm not going to cover that so this is

the link to a good motion capture library here are the BBH files I've

downloaded this folder you can click on it to download it and it includes

a nice set of some basic actions such as looking around lifting a box crouching a

sidestep right for instance and what I'm going to do is under the make walk tab

on your toolbar click load and retarget

find that folder that you just downloaded with also be the H files and

you can just choose one I'm going to choose cartwheel then just hit load and

retarget it might take a while for it to process alright so you can see something

weird going on with the legs especially and this is because I had switched from

FK to I K bones in the legs you can easily fix this either by changing them

back to FK bones which you can do in the MH x2 tab and you can see that this

fixes the problem but it's probably better is to go under make

walk to make walk tap go down to the section called edit actions and check

the box for inverse kinematics and click the button transfer FK to I K now wait

for it to load and problem solved you

can now play the animation in the timeline and you can see the character

doing cartwheels now which is pretty awesome

you can also move the keyframes around on the timeline and combine it with

different animation using motion capture files this way has the advantage of

being quick and easy if you have the BVH files available and it's especially easy

to partner with make human as you can see so that is the end of my tutorial

What The Cast Of The Vampire Diaries Never Wanted You To Hear - Duration: 6:20.

For a brief time in entertainment history, vampires were all the rage.

Buffy, Twilight, and True Blood proved that audiences thirsted for vampire-human romance,

so The CW capitalized on that craze with its adaptation of L.J. Smith's The Vampire Diaries

novels.

The series, which immediately claimed its own audience, became a major hit for the network.

But it wasn't all sunshine rings and crows for this show.

Here's the story you might not know about The Vampire Diaries.

Creative differences

Kevin Williamson, a beacon of the teen scene thanks to Scream and Dawson's Creek, initially

snubbed the idea of The Vampire Diaries.

The writer-producer admitted his fear to The Independent, saying he didn't want fans to

see it as

"... a Twilight rip-off, no matter which [novel series] came first"

...due to the ultra similar premises: small-town girl falls for impossibly handsome boy, who

just so happens to be a secret vampire, and she kind of digs his undeadness.

It was co-creator Julie Plec who changed his mind about that, though, and convinced him

to check out Smith's novels before giving it a hard pass.

She explained,

"I began to realize that it was a story about a small town, about that town's underbelly

and about what lurks under the surface."

Williamson responded to the central character's struggle with grief from the loss of her parents

and that there was a sense of "hopelessness" about her situation that could really resonate

with the Dawson's Creek crowd.

That dramatic distinction was ultimately enough for him to put his stamp on the effort.

Casting sliding doors

Nina Dobrev made a household name for herself by becoming Elena Gilbert… then Katherine

Pierce, then the third doppelganger, Amara.

But she almost wasn't the face of the series.

The network's first choice for the role was actually singer-actress Ashlee Simpson.

Yep.

Dobrev only won the role after producers gave her audition a second look and determined

that she was a better fit.

And before Ian Somerhalder earned his nickname "Ian Smolderholder" for his work as the steely-eyed

Damon Salvatore, future co-stars Paul Wesley, Zach Roerig, and Michael Trevino were all

amongst those who tried out for the role, too.

They eventually earned their own memorable and long-lived characters on the series, of

course, but Somerhalder as Damon is show canon, so it's hard to imagine any of them in his

place.

Bubble, bubble, toil, and trouble

The pilot for The Vampire Diaries was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, where the

Twilight Saga films were shot.

However, the rest of production took place down in Covington, Georgia, and it was there

that the cast found themselves in a little bit of a legal snare shortly after the series

premiered.

Just a day after the pilot hit the small screen, several of the series' cast members -- including

Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola, Kayla Ewell, and Sara Canning -- were reportedly arrested

for naughtily distracting drivers on a freeway during a photoshoot with photographer Tyler

Shields.

"No comment."

Although reports initially indicated that they may have been flashing traffic as well,

Ewell later denied that's what went down during the incident, and the first season ratings

remained strong despite the hubbub.

Delayed spin-off

Due to the initial success of The Vampire Diaries, The CW began to entertain the idea

of a spin-off series right away, settling on a fall 2011 date as the hopeful premiere

window.

Williamson, who'd previously planned doing a college campus-set paranormal investigation

sister series, became involved with his now-defunct The Secret Circle instead of moving forward

with the follow-up idea.

So, those plans were postponed until Plec picked up the torch and carried forward with

her idea for The Originals, which carried over several of The Vampire Diaries' own secondary

characters as a companion series, and aired in October 2013.

Real-life relationship drama

It's not uncommon for a show that involves so much physical and emotional passion to

transpire into some unexpected off-screen romance, but with The Vampire Diaries, there

have been an unusual amount of real-life couplings to happen amidst its cast … for better or

worse.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, for one, proved that their on-screen chemistry as the

ultra-shippable Delena duo was inspired by some real-life heat between the actors.

It was all well and good for a while between the two, but when they broke up in real-life

and had to continue doing love scenes, things got tricky.

"And then we started dating on the show."

"Then we started dating in real life."

"And then we broke up in real life."

"And yet our characters are still dating on the show."

"It's a good thing it's not awkward!"

After Somerhalder married Dobrev's former friend Nikki Reed, it wasn't long 'til Dobrev

announced her departure from the series.

They've since quashed any rumors of lingering bad blood, but the show's final seasons suffered

without her presence.

Theirs wasn't the only cast coupling to go south while the cameras were still rolling.

Paul Wesley's real-life wife Torrey DeVitto also joined the cast in a recurring role before

the two split, leading to her character counterpart suddenly taking her leave of Mystic Falls.

After their separation, he began to date the show's guest actress Phoebe Tonkin, who starred

in its sister program The Originals.

And after an on-and-off relationship of four years, those two called it quits for good

in October of 2017.

Meanwhile, Candice Accola and Zach Roerig were once an item for a brief period of time

early on in the series — although they've both since moved on.

And actor Joseph Morgan also found love on the set of the show with actress Persia White,

who had a brief recurring role in the show, and the two married in 2014.

Off-screen parallels

Budding and busted romances weren't the only true life takeaways from the show.

When Candice Accola got pregnant with her first child with guitarist Joe King, the show

also wrote in her onscreen surrogate pregnancy to explain her growing baby bump.

There was also a fire at the real-life set of the Mystic Grill, which was a little spooky

considering the show had previously torched its fictional version of the setting the season

before.

The Somerhalder shutdown

Ian Somerhalder accidentally preempted the show's end date announcement when he told

reporters that The Vampire Diaries' eighth season would be its final run.

Seeing as the network hadn't yet confirmed the same at the time, the actor had to eat

his words a little bit and backtracked to say that he was merely speaking for himself.

Ultimately, though, the showrunners confirmed the same with the news that Season 8 would

indeed be the final stand for The Vampire Diaries and it came to a close in early 2017.

There's two ways the first one you can't complete the quest and claim your reward and that's how you unlock it and the second way

But this card concept was made before the ghost was released, so hopefully that kind of makes sense

But the ghost here is pretty much like the same as the royal goes now next up

We have the Hydra and the Hydra is like a multi-headed dragon

I'm not too sure how this card would play but from the looks of it

It looks pretty damn interesting after that though

We currently have the baby dragon and the inferno dragon so just think of the ice dragon as like a new addition to the family

This is how Turk people have been brought up, this is their culture, this is their respect to the religion,

Their is no other nation on this planet that called their soldiers Mehmet'cik, which means little Muhamed's. The soldiers in Turkey are not called Private, they are called Mehmet,

Since the moment Prince Harry announced his engagement to divorced American actress, Meghan

Markle, there's been nothing but controversy that's come from the couple – mostly has

Markle past emerges in pieces.

If she thought her secrets would be safe and she'd skate into the royal family with flying

colors, getting by on her beaming smile – she was sorely mistaken.

Markle's fiance is in line to the throne and the Queen isn't letting anyone or anything

into her family without undergoing extensive scrutiny.

This has led to the revelation if what Markle's been hiding and now an arrest.

The picture of perfection and elegance that this couple has portrayed over the last few

weeks as they flaunt their love for each other from the states to the Royal Palace, has now

been shattered as it seems like it was a front for something else.

The American actress does what she's apparently pretty good at and that's pretending to

be someone she isn't.

When it was revealed who the soon-to-be princess' father was, many people were taken aback by

his recluse lifestyle at his home in Mexico – far from London.

It seemed impossible that this man would be rubbing shoulders with the royal family and

that he would be able to maintain any level of proper etiquette expected around the Queen

or at a royal affair such as a wedding.

The fact that Harry went rogue and picked a person without a pedigree was strange but

celebrated since he was doing things his own way.

However, it's not her father or even her stepsister who is in the crosshairs of the

queen, it's her equally obscure stepbrother and his fiancee who were just caught.

It's hard to believe that Markle shares a parent with her half-brother since they

look like complete opposites and seemingly act as such too.

But what else is Markle "hiding" that's bound to come out before her royal wedding

in May?

The Daily Mail reports:

Meghan Markle's half-brother Tom has blamed his drunken New Year's Eve brawl with his

fiancee on the pressure and scrutiny caused by his sister's engagement.

The flare-up in their Oregon home led to Tom's fiancee Darlene Blount being thrown into jail

for two nights for assault.

Tom has blamed the pressure of being in the public eye for his woes, saying: "It hasn't

been easy.

Meghan's relationship with Prince Harry has shone a spotlight on our family.

It doesn't help when you have issues and your sister is engaged to Royalty.

It adds a whole new level of scrutiny."

And Tom – who was last year arrested for brandishing a gun at his fiancee during another

drunken fracas – says they will both attend alcohol and relationship counseling.

"We've been under a lot of stress because of all the attention.

At some point you find yourself drinking too much to escape the pressure."

Tom vowed last night to 'seek help' after the drunken confrontation.

The Prince has his PR work cut out for him on behalf of his wife and the misfit family

she's bringing into the "perfect" picture.

He's already slammed his soon-to-be father in law and Markle's family in claiming that

she never had a family.

While they may not be perfect and far from royalty, they were very close, according to

Markle's half-sister Samantha Markle.

Samantha countered the Prince's claim with the facts of her and Meghan's upbringing

that was different than the soon-to-be princess is saying now.

It seems like Meghan is making her family life sound different than it was presumably

out of embarrassment for her rather average American upbringing – and also to separate

herself from the drama.

Considering how things went down in Oregon leading to the drunken arrest, Meghan has

some face to save if she want to impress the Queen.

Mail Online explains what happened that debaucherous and embarrassing evening:

Tom initially told The Mail on Sunday Ms. Blount had begun 'pummelling me in the face

with her fists', but last night he changed his tune and said the injuries he sustained

were self-inflicted.

As Prince Harry and Ms Markle reportedly ushered in the New Year "partying like tycoons"

in the millionaires' playground of Monaco, Tom and Darlene were downing beers and whiskey

at the decidedly less salubrious Cedarwood Saloon in their hometown of Grant's Pass.

Tom, 51, who has the same father as Meghan, said he and Darlene, 37, rowed at the bar

before she stormed off.

He returned to their bungalow and continued drinking, becoming increasingly enraged.

When Darlene finally came home she immediately began downing a bottle of bourbon.

"I said some swear words, it turned into an argument," Tom confessed.

Darlene called the police – but ended up being arrested herself.

"I might have said that Darlene beat me up," Tom said.

"She was arrested for domestic violence.

It was a big confusion."

This kind of drama surely won't sit well with the Queen who is accustomed to keeping

appearances buttoned up and proper.

We're all for a regular girl with a complicated family, making something amazing of her life,

but she shouldn't forget where she comes from.

What's truly in "poor taste" is to disregard and ditch your family you had an entire life

with because you found a better one.

As for Harry, falling in love with the girl means accepting everything about her, including

her upbringing, which is the classiest thing someone can do for their soon-to-be spouse

and her family.

You don't just marry her, you join families and at a minimum should at least show some

respect to the man who brought the love of your life into this world.

This goes for Meghan as well who seemed to be quick to ditch the commoners for Hollywood

royalty and then real royalty.

Keep it classy, Megs, and remember where you came from!
