EF Vlogger Casting 2019 – On the go with EF #86 - Duration: 5:25.Hey there!
As you can see, we're having a get-together here because we want to invite you to a casting challenge.
We want one of you guys watching to join us as one of the presenters for On the Go with EF.
If you've been watching us, you know that we vlog for EF, the language school organization.
Basically, we travel the world, visit new places and vlog about what you can do, see, eat and experience.
What's a bit special about our vlogs is that you can learn English and sometimes other languages as well.
For every episode, there's a vocabulary list that you can check out below.
This year, there are four of us, but Liam could not be here because he's out traveling.
We wanted to invite you guys to enter our casting challenge.
We want one of you to join our vlogging team.
Join our vlogging team
It's been fun, right? Yes, it's been great.
It has. It's been so fun.
Maria, what's been your favourite trip so far?
Oh my gosh, that's a hard one because I really enjoyed all of them.
If I had to choose one, I'd say New York. Yeah?
I love New York.
Even though I've been to the city many times before, I got to see it from a whole new side.
I'd never crossed the Williamsburg Bridge before.
That was awesome, and you guys can watch it in Episode 82.
That was fun!
And I don't think I've ever seen that many dogs per square metre in my life.
I tried the Magnolia Bakery cupcakes.
Everything that I did there had something special about it. I really enjoyed it.
Cool. You know, it's funny you should say New York because my favourite was Boston.
I got to see the Red Sox.
I also went to prepare for Easter in Berlin.
Of course, my favourite of the year was cooking some great treats for all of you guys.
And us eating them. Yeah, of course!
How to apply
What you have to do, first of all, is produce an application video.
The video should be one to five minutes long
and feature you as the presenter; that means in front of the camera.
You should show your charisma and your interest in travel, languages or cultural exchange
because those are the themes we focus on here on the EF vlog.
You can, for example, present a video about your home country,
a trip abroad, a famous or not-so-famous site, maybe a language you'd like to learn,
or even fun facts about your home country.
The video should be interesting and not only about you as a person.
Impress us with your creativity!
At the beginning of the video, you can present yourself with your first name and where you come from.
All the rest of your personal information you can give us on the website when you apply.
Make sure you mention in the video that you are applying for the job as an EF vlog presenter
for the EF YouTube channel.
We are looking for a presenter who feels friendly, natural and likeable.
You have to be able to present in English, but being a native English speaker isn't necessary.
Submit the video link and your contact information on the casting website.
Don't forget to promote your video.
Encourage viewers to comment and like your video to impress the jury.
You have to submit your video by 1 May 2019 - the sooner, the better.
The jury will look at the submitted videos and choose one lucky winner.
The winner will be announced on 13 June 2019 - right here on our vlog.
The winner will become a part of the vlogging team starting in fall 2019,
work as an EF vlogger and present some of the On the Go episodes - like we do!
You get to travel and get paid for it, which is awesome.
Speaking of which … What has been your favourite experience while traveling?
I think my favourite experience was visiting San Diego.
If you watched episode number 55, you know that I went surfing for the first time
and I was so terrified. But it went really well. It was fun.
I also got to meet some new friends from the EF school in San Diego, so I loved it.
Surfing? That's very adventurous. Oh my gosh!
That actually reminds me of something. Do you remember when Liam went bungy jumping?
Oh, yes. I don't know if I could do that. Good job! Well done, Liam.
We're proud of you. We are.
So, guys, the selection criteria are: Number one: charisma,
how much creativity and effort you put into making your video,
availability and possibility to travel,
and that you have at least tried to share your video on your social media channel.
If you want to check out the full casting rules,
there's a link to the casting website in the video description below.
We really hope that you want to join us. Go for it. Be creative and be yourself.
Good luck and hope to see you soon. Bye!

iLOVEFRiDAY's "Mia Khalifa" Explained | Song Stories - Duration: 1:49.JACQUES: iLOVEFRiDAY's viral diss track "Mia Khalifa" all began because of a fake tweet.
JACQUES: Atlanta recording duo iLOVEFRiDAY consists of rappers Smoke Hijabi and Xeno Carr.
Carr claims production credits on the track.
In late January, an Instagram meme page faked a tweet from adult film star
Mia Khalifa, saying Hijabi was a bad Muslim for smoking weed.
SMOKE HIJABI: Mia Khalifa you're over here talking about some 'I give Muslim women
a bad image.' You're over here getting dicked down by 40 niggas right now as you watch this shit.
JACQUES: Days afterwards, iLOVEFRiDAY released "Mia Khalifa."
JACQUES: Although the track was released in early 2018, it's experienced a surge
due to a popular clip on TikTok.
JACQUES: Mia Khalifa has not responded to iLOVEFRiDAY's diss.
The duo is represented by the same company as YouTube star Queen Naija, and originally
gained buzz for their song, "TRAVEL BAN" aimed at Donald Trump's controversial executive order.
JACQUES: Smoke is Pakistani, and Pakistan was not one of the countries named in
Trump's executive order.
Hijabi has faced some criticism for her use of the n-word but it appears that she has
not said anything about those complaints.
If you want to learn more about "Mia Khalifa," check out the song page on Genius.com.
I'm Jacques Morel with Genius News, bringing you the meaning and the knowledge behind the music.
Peace!

7 Answers + 1 Update From Viewers Comments On Model Railroading - Duration: 11:48.here we go with 8 more viewer comments from videos and email so let's see what
they are I'm Tom Kvichak and this is Toms Trains and Things this channel was
created to help other modelers who are in need of guidance and pursuing their
dream of building a model railroad and with these comments I have some answers
that will help you out in your model railroading quest so let's get started
with it right after this if you would like to see more videos about model
railroading that could help you out like this one go ahead and hit that subscribe
button and do that now then you'll be notified whenever I have a new video
coming out and check out my playlists they are categorized for you to find
easily and there's a lot of them there for you to find so let's go with these
answers right now this first question is from the video easy sound effects with a
DF player mini for your model railroad and that's this thing right here and
it's from Berner studio nice tutorial but I have a question it's possible to
define different audio samples from sd card and to modify the code to play that
on different conditions example if I made a thermometer and it showed a
specific value on 25 degrees to play a specific sample from sd card and so on
what do you think is it possible you could put anything onto your mini SD
card when you put it into your SD Player you can easily do this if you don't have
too many conditions with an if-else statement like I have up here and let's
see if we can go to the other example switch case if you have many conditions
like he's talking about in temperature you could use the switch case and
whenever that one condition is true then it will run that statement underneath
that so yes you can do that in now let's go to the next one here now
this one is from my last answer session seven answers to viewers comments on
model railroading and Arduino and this one's from Dale Sayer Tom have you seen
instructions on how one may convert a digitrax layout to NCE now we went back
and forth to find out exactly what he needed and what he had on his digit
tracts and basically all he had was the command station and a throttle and I
said there's no problem oh yeah and I know you p5 and I said there's no
problem with it all he has to do is pull out the digit track stuff and put the
NCE components in its place now this one came from the video which switch
tortoise versus Cobalt what should I use and this is from Dasha
Bo five five three for your information here may help our contact details our
DCC context concepts limited unit e the siblings settled be de well I'll let you
read all this I also put it in the description of the video so you could
see it easier and here's another one from seven answers to viewers comments
on model railroading and Arduino and this comes from Don Martin
he says Tom I'm trying to create an in tracks phenom etre using the IR sensors
the problem I have is if I turn up the led room lighting I trigger the sensors
they are buried in the track and doing more testing I found that bright
daylight will also trigger them I've attempted to use the pot to make them
less sensitive but all that does is basically turn them off so for me it
looks like I can't burry them in the track but need to have some kind of
sheltered space for them like a tunnel or perhaps across a track
that's a good question sometimes you get interference from other lighting that is
infrared and it interferes with your IR sensor and we went back and forth a few
times you know with different suggestions I suggested putting them in
a building and going across the track but finally I came up with either using
electrical tape taping the outside of the IR sensor or putting shrink wrap on
it and then cutting it off that's what I did I didn't do that with my IR sensors
but if you look back on some of my videos where I add the ambient light
sensors I put shrink tubing on the outside and then cut it off so it
wouldn't get any excess light from the sides of the of the fixture this is the
IR sensor that we're talking about here and basically you could either put tape
around here on either one they the transmitter and the receiver or you
could put shrink tubing on there shrink it down and then cut it off flush so it
doesn't get any rays in from the from the outside this next question came in
an email it's referring to the Arduino made easy and the gate crossing and
using a servo to operate the gate I really enjoy your videos on the Arduino
I would like to see how to connect and program a servo to a Nano and how to
adjust the pulse width to control amount of servo arm movement to control the
crossing arms that video is coming up pretty shortly the one thing that I
wanted to do was get the crossing arms but for about the last three to four
weeks I've been searching online and every place that has them is sold out
except for the cheap Bachmann ones that you can get six crossing arms six of the
arms and six of the cross bucks for like ten bucks they're really cheap ones and
I don't want to do that I think the last time that I was up at my favorite hobby
store in Fort Myers metro trains and hobbies I think
saw one there so we're going there this week and if I can't find them then I'll
have to do it without them this one is from the video Arduino made easy lesson
9 using IR sensors and relays this is from John the train man excellent
tutorial as always not being to electronically minded why would I use a
relay as opposed to just powering a switch motor signal etc off the Arduino
itself and what I said to John the train man is the Arduino outputs are limited
to 20 milliamps apiece so if you have anything over 20 milliamp draw on one of
those outputs you may burn it up if it is too much now the Arduino was built to
shut down after 40 milliamps so that is a saving grace there but the reason most
people would want to use a relay is if you want to use a larger power source
than the 5 volts it's um it only puts out 5 volts so if you have something
that you want to drive that's more than 5 volts and more than 20 milliamps then
you would put a relay on there and then power that relay like a switch like a
regular switch that you would use like a light switch on your home where you
could turn on multiple lights from one switch you could do the same thing with
the relay you could use any voltage on the contacts that are within the limits
of that relay and the relay that I used on there I think it was up to 10 amps so
you could use anything up to 10 amps even up to as high as 120 volts through
the contacts on that relay just as long as you said that that's what you want to
do you want to separate what you're trying to operate from the Arduino so
you don't burn up the Arduino you could you could you can control a lot from
that Arduino even though it's at a higher
teaching a higher amperage and that's why you would want to use the relays on
there okay this is a recent one I just got this a few days ago and Tom I have a
switcher than I have ran now it won't move digitrax decoder digitrax d CS 100
and digitrax dt 400 our throttle with the track power on and the locomotive
sound will throttle up like it is taking off but the loco does not move when I
try to reprogram it I get the message and OPG any thoughts and yes whenever
you have a NOP G on your throttle when you're trying to program it that means
that it is seeing your decoder but there is a problem with it like your wires to
your motor or something else is not connected so if you're getting the sound
and everything and it won't move and then you try to reprogram it and that's
the error message as it comes up the most likely problem is that you have a
loose wire going to your motor or there what the or the wire is completely off
either on the motor side or on the decoder side so check that out there and
you should be able to be up and running once you get that resolved and this one
is from the video simple CV settings for more realistic operation with economy
decoders ok now this one is from Richard Napier and this is a new one also he
says I'm new at the hobby and I have a Bachman North Southern Heritage GE ps4
for AC I'm thinking he's meaning Norfolk Southern and a Walters North
Southern EMD sd70ace ee the bachman is too fast is the cv the same for the ES
44 AC 2 through 6 in help in help would be greatly appreciated
we set the Seavey's number 2 through number 6 to set set up the speed on 2
through 6 it's the same on any locomotive
I said and I said if you haven't touched them already out of the box they may not
be going the same speed but you have to play around with those Seavey's on both
of them to get them to where you you'd like it and that's basically what you
have to do on there is just go on each one of them and set your CDs 2 through 6
and play around with it until you get them to where you have the correct speed
and momentum and everything else that you want to program into them keep those
comments and questions coming so I could keep you informed about model
railroading more videos coming your way every week so keep an eye out for them
and don't forget to hit that Bell and subscribe so until the next time we'll
see you I'm Tom covet Jack and this is Tom's trains of things this channel was
created and there goes the phone

Pumpkin Carving With Grandma! Another Fun & Messy Halloween Project With Our Grandson - Duration: 5:57.Hi! Welcome to the Cohen and Grandma show. We're doing another Halloween
project! What are we gonna make today, Cohen? A pumpkin! Yeah a Pumpkin Jack-o'-lantern!
So the first thing we're gonna do is
wipe it down.
This isn't like a perfect pumpkin, because no pumpkin is perfect
right, Cohen?
Just like no people are perfect. But we have a really good stem.
See there's the bad side. We have a really good front side, so that's all we need.
Okay, so now we're gonna get started.
There should be an adult helping with us
so that's the person that should have the knife, right Cohen.
A little kid
shouldn't have a knife, should they? Like mamaw, right! The Baker! The Baker? Okay!
You're gonna make just a little bitty wedges. And we're just making cuts across the
top to make the top be able to take it off. Yeah, so we can put a candle inside.
What's inside the pumpkin? Pumpkin! Guts!
We don't want to ruin it. If you go too fast you can make some bad edges and bad
decisions. It'll ruin it, so we don't want to ruin it. But I think we're close.
So now we're gonna take a spoon and kind of pull up.
So now we need our large
Tupperware Bowl.
To put all the guts in.
Yeah right. We're gonna scrape off the guts.
So now, Cohen, now I need your help.
Look at all those guts in there. Wow!
Look how much guts are in there, bapaw! There's a lot.
Okay, now the way I used to
do it, is you just use your hands.
But Cohen thinks it's kind of nasty, right, Cohen?
I think you can just get down in there and grab it so much easier.
But you
want to poke some out with your spoon?
Here, let me help you put some on your spoon. Ready, where's your spoon at?
There hold your spoon up. There's some more, ready? Gotta hold your spoon up.
Look at all the seeds, guys! I know!
We're gonna dry that out, so you can plant them in Grandpa Merle's garden next year.
We'll have more pumpkins.
Look at all these seeds.
Bapaw, look!
Look, look at all the seeds. Wow!
Say, "Seeds!"
Touch one, Bapaw, just touch one!
Cool!
Yeah, is it acky? Acky, acky. There's some guts.
Guts, guts, guts.
You hate guts? Why do you hate guts?
Did I get them all?
Yeah, now we have to get all the guts.
Acky, acky, acky!
How come you don't like guts? You like playing
in the dirt. But they're too slimy and I don't like to touch guts.
Nam, do you like this?
I do. I like cleaning out a pumpkin!
A stress reliever, it's very therapeutic.
Bapaw, look how clean this pumpkin is right now.
Is that pretty good, or do we still got more to clean? Looking good!
Now are we gonna put a happy face or a sad face? A happy!
Cut, cut. There's one eye.
Can you get it out? Pull it out.
Okay, now we need a second eye. We need a pumpkin eye.
Over here, what do you think? Uh, huh.
You're working hard, namaw!I know it is hard work. That rind is really hard, isn't it.
There, can you
pull it out. Good job!
Papaw, would you like to touch it? Oooooo - pumpkin eye!
Does he look friendly? Looks pretty friendly, don't you think! Uh, huh, it does.
Might need a little bit bigger eyes.
Because did you know we're gonna put a
candle inside it? Yes !
Great eyes, huh!
So now we're gonna make the nose.
We got the nose out. Got the garbage out of the pumpkin! That's right.
Should I make him some eyebrows up here? Yes!
Scary ones are just regular? Scary!!!
Where'd you go, Cohen? I need my helper.
I think those look good enough to get the light through them.
Yeah.
They're kind of a little but we didn't really need it really big.
So now comes the hard part - the mouth. And Cohen wants a happy mouth, right, or scary?
Happy! Happy? Okay, we're gonna go with a happy mouth.
That's good. Is that pretty good? Yeah!
So kind of like a clown's mouth that's smiling real big, right!
That's the look we're going for.
So, Cohen, what did you think about our
jack-o'-lantern? Cool!
Well, what should we name him? Jack. Jack Jack!
Oh, that's a good idea.
Did you have fun making it?
I know what to name him. I know what to name him.
Mr. Pumpkin! That's a good name!
So kids, should you help your grandparents make a Jack-o'-lantern?
Yeah! Yeah?
And happy Halloween!
Don't forget to Comment, Like, and Subscribe, and ring the bell for notifications so you
know what we do next. Cohen!
Where'd you go??? Welcome to the Cohen and Namaw Show - Bye!!!!!!!!!
