Waching daily Nov 4 2018

Near Askja, North-East of the isle, Le 29th of June

After .. maybe .. 10 or 12 hours of mechanic, here we go again !

hope this one is the good one ...

strange waking up here in the middle of this volcanic sand

i'm still in trouble with this type of landscape but it's gonna be okay

Clement has to do the same mechanic has i had to do yesterday

we try to do it quickly, and here we go riding again.

we are late about our itinerary, we need to ride faster

after 30 kilometers since we started this morning, and my fuel pump is down again

there is so much pressure in this trip which starts 3 days ago, doubt is for the first time since i travel by bikes ...

why ?

because we're dealing with so much mechanic problems since the start of this road trip, and we can't ride as we want.

i call Jerome, one of my friend who has a shop named "Outback Motors" in France

to give him some news about this trip, and asking to him some questions about this fuel pump

HIs positive reaction about our trip and all these problems is going to give me some positive vibes, and i really needed it !

Sometimes, you need to ear just some words to be motivated again !

we're now going to deal with a brand new problem... Gas ...

We started without refilling our additional tanks, and we haven't gas anymore. We need to do 120 kilometers more, before arriving to Mytvan

here, rangers are working, this is like Policemen.

They sell gas for people like us who need it

but the problem is about the price ..

We aren't ready for that one

40 euros for 5 liters ... 8 euros for 1 liter

and they give you just the right quantity for what you need to ride. No more...

We must buy it... Without gas we're stuck in this place.

Alexis was angry because he had to pay the same price, for 4 liters ...

i didn't see that the road was turning on the right… when i saw it .. it was too late …

my fuel pump works again. Maybe the felt helps it. But i'm not going to reinstall it. I stay without this pump until the end of the trip.

we are here for something ..

Askja is a Volcanic mount built by numerous volcanic eruptions during these last 10000 years

and they built what we called " Calderas"

The last eruption was in 1961, but the massive one what in 1875

The 28 of March of this year, 2 big explosions resounded and they formed what we called the pit of Viti

but why am i telling you all this ?

After a half time of walking ... check this out

Welcome to the Viti's lake. This is the result of the explosion i told you just before

This is not an easy access place

But when you're here, you can swim directly swim under the crater of the Volcano

Water is pretty hot, 25-28° and more you put your foot inside the sand, more hotter it is ...

last thing to know about this place, if you put your head under the water, you can ear the Volcano working ...

Edgar Mitchell, an astronaut from Apollo's 14 mission told that he was amazed by the beauty this surrealistic place of Askja and the Calderas.

And by the fact the night never falls during summer. He was in Iceland in 1967

he was the 6th man who walked on the Moon and the driver of Antares. He did a spear throwing when is colleague was playing Golf on the moon.

he was the 6th man who walked on the Moon and the driver of Antares. He did a spear throwing when is colleague was playing Golf on the moon.

People we met on the volcano give us some hot coffee, and after this, we took the road again

The clock is ticking and we are still late about our itinerary

it's 7:00PM and we should have been at 800 kilometers from this location ..

but we're still at the kilometers 220.

The only advantage we have here in Iceland, night never falls. So we're going to ride "all night long" to try to reduce this late

we're going to have the knowledge to ride an awesome section ... look at this one !

Alexis couldn't ride bikes anymore since 2 years because he had a lot of health problems.

Now, he is felling better, and by seeing him with us, riding in off road with his bike .. damn this is so good !

it reminds me the big enduro's sessions we made before together !

Yeah dude ! That's my boy !

are you okay dude ?

yeah dude !

what a place mate !

it was fun ! But we have a new mechanic problem ...

Alexis's bike is switching off and we need to know what's going wrong on it

let's go guys !

let's test the stator first ...

Accelerates !

faster, faster .. again ..

it's okay !

now we test the regulator ... stop !

I think your regulator is dead ...

Alexis: we have one more ?

clement: yes !

Alexis: let's ride a bit more like this

blkmrkt: we just need 2 minutes to change it guys !

clement: if he can ride a bit more let's go

i think if you go straight it's okay !

Alexis's regulator is over ! We can't continue like this

300 meters after the river, his bike switched off again.

Just before going to iceland, i tested this part of his bike and it wasn't in good health, so i'm not surprised

We knows about these kinds of problems, so we bought this part before the trip, just in case ...

don't worry, we're going to continue after it

So alexis, give us some news ..

Alexis; here we go again dude !

blkmrkt: yeah ?

alexis: the regulator was down ! But we changed it !

blkmrkt: here we go for how many kilometers ?

You know ... maybe 20 before the next problem !

In the next episode, we're going to ride for the first time in Iceland

If you don't want to miss this adventure, follow this channel

at the end of the show, i'll make a « Talk » with a Q&A about Iceland

So if you've got questions ask them in the commentary box during each episodes, i will answer to them during this Talk

Last news

Black Market's Hoodies, T-shirts, caps, posters are coming soon !

If you are interested, follow-me !

During the show, i'm going to organize some contests to win some prices, so if you want to participate, same thing .. Follow-me !

Riele & Henry Danger Cast Talk School Life + BTS Secrets Ep. 2 🎥 | #SetLifeOnNick - Duration: 6:56.

[music playing]

A lot of people think that we don't have to do school

but we definitely have to do school!

It's kind of funny that I never really told anybody this,

I have this weird OCD thing about things being on my face.

[music playing]

Doing it for four seasons, you're kind of, you know, evolved to be here

so like, you get it really easily like,

five years, your brain is wired to be here, you know what I mean?

My most favorite thing?

Everything just like getting to act and seeing all the props,

and seeing the show come together week after week and like,

all the departments having something to do with it being a success,

so seeing like, everyone make it happen.

Alright, well, this is some part of our set,

this is where we get to hang out sometimes

when we're not rehears-- or when we're on a break.

We go for top scores, me and Jace are currently

constantly competing for top score.

Yes, yes, come on, Henry, finish him!

He's finally gonna beat Charlotte!

He's finally gonna de-thrown the queen!

Finish her!

Dude, that was right in my ear.

It's a fun place, it's a fun place to just kind of hang out

and the fun thing about it is it's right next to crafty,

which is where all the food is and guess what, who doesn't like food?

I like food, do you like food?

'Cause everybody likes food.

[music playing]

Uh... here we've got the costume department.

Here's Michael Cohen, hey, buddy, what's up?

How are ya? Making a little cameo?

OK, don't be weird now.

Don't be weird.

Michael, get out of the frigging shot, man!

Get outta here, quit staring, don't do that!

This is also--

[laughing]

That's Kris Dangl back there.

She designed the Captain Man costume, say hi.

Strolling for the guys and coming in Charlotte and action!

Pick up the can of Flabbergas and spray Barge in the face!

[groaning]

It's kinda funny that I never really told anybody this,

I have this weird OCD thing about things being on my face.

Like, so this mask that they glue on my face

basically the whole time, I have the urge that I have to fight,

to rip the mask off my face.

So I actually really dislike having the mask on my face.

[music playing]

[cheering]

[music playing]

Uh, this is the school room. That's Charlotte.

That's Riele with a pig, with an adorable little pig.

I like to see that pig every day.

This is the school room. This is where minds are molded.

This is so the stars of the show don't grow up to be dumb.

[knocking]

Yeah, a lot of people think that we don't have to do school,

but we definitely have to do school and

if we don't do school, then we can't do the show so,

on rehearsal days, what we end up doing is we end up like, banking hours in school.

So basically, that allows us to spend more time shooting on shoot days.

Principal says Ms. Shapen has chicken pox.

Alright, free day!

[cheering]

No, no, no, no, no, no!

He said we're getting a substitute.

[groaning]

Well, now there's three of us. Jace graduated so,

it's three of us, two teachers, so we get a lot of work done

because they're always looking down on-- Not looking down on us,

but making sure we're getting our stuff done.

Yeah, that's cool. I hated doing school on set so...

Without doing the studio teacher, it's like 50% less work.

Yeah, that just shows you how hard school is.

[groaning]

Hey Char, can I borrow your chemistry notes?

[buzzing]

Oh, why?

OK, I'll borrow Jasper's.

I don't know if I can think of a bad thing, it's quite fun, school!

Doing school.

Doing school after you've had a long day of work.

There's a teacher right next to me who's looking at me with her mouth open,

because she is very upset at me now.

My favorite thing when I'm on set, I like my teacher.

[laughing]

I like both of my teachers, oh my gosh! Ah!

It is my last year of having a studio teacher, which is cool.

I'm kind of excited, 'cause then I'll get to have my breaks be breaks,

as opposed to going to school, but I'll probably still be doing

school of some sort, so...

[music playing]

These are just sort of photos of ourselves from past episodes.

That's where Riele hangs her hat.

And this is hair and makeup. They put this stuff on our faces.

So that our faces don't look so bad, 'cause when we first show up,

we're just all just hideous.

Some wigs up here. This is from the Halloween episode.

That's what one of the monsters wears in the Halloween episode.

[screaming]

Hello again, friends!

Hi Kevin!

Is everyone having fun?

Yeah!

Great!

What the butt is going on?

I know where the writer's room is if you wanna sneak by there.

It's locked, so hold on, wait.

Come on!

Alright sweet, let's go inside.

This is where the writers create the show.

As you can see, there's a wall of ideas.

Oh, wow.

OK, there's some...

Wow, there's some stuff in here, OK.

I can't really talk about anything that I just saw, alright.

Let's get out of here before-- Before I lose my job.

[music playing]

This is the hallway that I walk down every morning.

I usually walk down this hall about ten minutes late.

And then I have to try to sneak past Robin,

'cause if Robin sees me, I'll get in a lot of trouble.

Please don't ever share this footage, 'cause I don't want Robin to know

that I said that, 'cause if she ever finds out then I'll be--

- What'd he say? - Um...

Now if I remember things correctly, this should open up to like,

a big gated area, yup OK.

You look over there, it's a bunch of old props from the show.

There's the Time Jerker's time machine.

[groaning]

[screaming]

The volcano that Piper used in the science fair.

[volcano erupting]

Schowz's space ship when we went to outer space.

You are aboard the last shuttle.

Welcome Schwoz and...

Woman's name.

They hold on to all this stuff.

It's necessary pack rat behavior around here because

you know, they don't want to have to rebuild the thing.

The Time Jerker's time machine takes up so much room.

[music playing]

We go down these stairs. It takes us back to where we were.

And I'm gonna try to walk down these stairs backwards,

without falling and breaking my neck.

'Cause you only have one neck, kids, and you gotta take care of it.

Yeah, we've also got our little living room.

I bet you can come hang out. We got TV.

We got a popcorn machine, we got couches, we got more food,

and there's the kitchen. It's almost like a little home.

Almost, but uh, not, because it's a film studio,

where we make TV shows.

But yeah, this is our little home away from home.

The Grump Variations: Making Of / F.A.Q. - Duration: 7:55.

I make music, Most of it originals, but also a lot of different arrangements of video game themes. Usually oldies, or old-style.

I keep a list of themes I want to arrange and when I saw the game grumps play the 3D Battles of World Runner

I added the stage theme by Nobuo Uematsu to that list

Mostly because I found the theme to be lots of fun and very suitable for orchestral variations

This was... I don't even remember anymore

But it sat there for, at the very least, years.

Then in February of this year after releasing no new albums in 2017 because of all the yet unfinished

Long-term projects like Majora, Hand of Horzasha, and the Constable,

I thought I should try to finish a new album of arrangements

However, as soon as I picked up 3D World Runner from the list

I thought that it would be nice to give a little nod to the Grumps for all the laughs

So I got the part of the episode where they sing the stage theme and inserted it at the beginning of the arrangement.

And then what? That's what it was. It wasn't even an isolated vocal line that could be reworked into something else

Danny's melody was mixed in with Arin's counterpoint

So there wasn't much I could do with it, and leaving it at the start just like that would have been a bit odd

Considering the rest of the variations would have been the usual instrumental stuff I make. On top of that,

It doesn't even end because he interrupts it with a scream as he falls into the chasm

It happened to be the case that I had been watching their NES Tennis playthrough in the days before and I remembered a few sentences

Like "learn to play, alright?" It didn't have background music

There was practically nothing to filter out that some careful cutting wouldn't solve

So I started digging and the more I relistened to the Tennis series, the more I noticed this could go a completely different way

They didn't have to sing

They could just be interacting with the music and by extension with the instruments

There were tons of instances of words like "play" and "baseline"/"bass line" that have very helpful double meanings.

Once I figured out what it was going to be, the variations themselves took three days to compose

I've had practice with orchestral variations like the ones I wrote for Overworld 2 from Super Mario Bros. 3, on

Journey home from Wario Land 2. They all have a similar kind of orchestral progression

So I was used to this to the point where I could have made a single set of variations in one day

however

What took three days was building everything around their dialogue and setting up a musical context for it. It was kind of simultaneous, as I went.

Eventually what I knew I wanted but couldn't find in their Tennis playthrough

I went to look for in other Grumps episodes where I remembered hearing something that would fit what I needed

Once I was done, I thought about publishing it immediately, as I usually do with any loose arrangements

I make. The music and dialogue made it clear enough what was going on,

And so no one would really need visuals to get it, right?

Well, maybe? I mean most of the moving visuals in my recent uploads are minimalistic setups that I can do by myself

But usually they imply a certain degree of originality: My logo,

Some freeware MIDI visualizer and some effects here and there. This felt a bit different

I remember that there were a lot of people doing animations involving the Grumps.

I didn't know what the

circumstances for those animations were, but I thought that I really didn't have to anything to lose. Either

I got people to help me out or I

Would just publish the audio as it was. I built a chronological chart script with timestamps for the voice clips and any other relevant actions

extra columns for each grump and what instrument they will be playing when and

One last column for listing potential animators to be filled in with sections of their choice

Starting and ending at any timestamp that would suit them. I contacted over a hundred people through email, twitter, facebook, tumblr,

over the course of a few months. By April or May, the chart was full!

Most of them were from the big credits list from Animate-A-Grump, and then I found some more through other Grumps Animated

videos posted all over YouTube. Of the over a hundred that I contacted, about sixty responded, about thirty said yes,

and then after a few hitches here and there, the final number landed at 22.

I sent them all the necessary reference materials

We set a deadline for July which then became August and September and finally October! Artists are like wizards,

They arrive precisely when they mean to. They were all super cool to work with, and you should go support them!

Now that I knew this was gonna be a thing, while I waited for the submissions

I thought I should contact the Grumps. I sent a CD with a letter to their PO box explaining everything,

I then timed an email for Arin around the same week I got the delivery receipt.

I'm fully aware that they must receive an absurd amount of mail all the time

So I kind of expected not to get an answer. Later on, I also tried sending Vernon an email, to no avail. No biggie,

I would just post it on my channel, anyway. Shortly before the variations came out, I made some tiny additions to the music

So they would align with some details in the animations

I had received. The upload date of October 28th was pushed a little bit further. And so the whole thing was finally out on Halloween

Those last days were a lot of pressure so I kind of just passed out after being awake for thirty hours.

I awoke to a message from Arin saying he would have loved to host the video if he had known! I was flattered,

fanboying internally, and then explained that I had tried to contact him privately to avoid a public nudge

that would betray the nature of the until-then-undisclosed project. He was still up for it

so the next day November 1st the variations were out on their channel! For which I am immensely grateful. :)

A bunch of them! The vast majority are from Tennis for NES,

There's also Battle Kid, Breath of the Wild, Adventure of Link, Kirby's Dream Course,

Lester the Unlikely, Yogi Bear, The Wacky World of Miniature Golf, and likely others

I can't remember at this point

but the one that

Originated the whole idea was from the 3d battles of World Runner where the grumps sing the stage theme

I know there's clips from other series

But I'd have to dive into a very big folder and try to tell the ones I used from the ones I didn't

Not to mention that a few were found in compilations that match the mood for which I needed a specific clip like positivity grumps.

I was honestly caught by surprise by the amount of requests for this

I've been working on opening a digital score shop at my website

But large projects like my Majora's Mask Opera have been the main focus of my work on scores for the last few years

My engraver colleague Miguel Jesus, and I will do our best to open the shop this year,

if not this month, with that score for sale, along with other frequent requests

Like Boneklezmer and A Fugue For The King.

Keep in mind that the larger the score the more time and work it takes and even more when separate parts are involved

Meanwhile, the Grump Lullaby that plays during the credits is available for free in the description

A Grump-less version is on the tracklist for Fanaphernalia III, my third album of instrumental arrangements. With all the projects

I'm involved in at the moment, it's only coming out next year, but you can get Fanaphernalia I and II, meawhile!

It's unlisted because the Game Grumps offered to host it. As such, to prevent confusion,

Mine won't show on search inputs

But will remain accessible through any posted links and also remain visible on my front page in the Featured and Arrangements playlists.

very easy to find

You mean spoofy? :3

Sadly, I currently do not possess a large and consistent enough following for most of my stuff to be viable on Spotify or iTunes

The thing about streaming services is that you either have a large audience as you go in or what you get from

It just isn't sustainable for an artist

I have a somewhat wide variety of things I make and so my limited audience is just as varied, and as such, just as uneven

The few uploads of mine that constitute a hit are few and far between and

Relying on a service that would only give me a small percentage of an earning wouldn't work at this point in time

I use Bandcamp because they're by far the most fair distributor to the artists in my view

Maybe one day I can start using Spoofy, but I'll need a larger audience for that
