Waching daily Dec 16 2018

It's the Germans!

Hey Giuseppe, can you make it?

No, I have to go down, at least for a while.

Are you crazy? Can you not see they are on top of us?

Yes, I know, but I cannot die.

I have to see her again before.

Giuseppe!

What are you doing here?

Do you want to get captured?

A couple of days to get better,

and then I am going up again.

I don't want to put you at danger.

Is this food for someone good or for someone bad?

It's a secret.

Giulia has a secret. Giulia has a secret.

Stop.

My dear Giulia,

it was maybe a mistake

to come down from the mountains,

to knock at your door,

and to put your life, and that of your siblings, at danger.

I have done nothing. I beg you, let me go.

It's wartime, my sweet Giulia;

and the war is snow which is dirty with blood,

it doesn't let the flowers grow.

LAURIE: Brownsville is one of the toughest neighborhoods that you can grow up in.

When you face violence everyday, when you walk past the drug-addicted neighborhoods, or walk through them,

when you are in abusive situations, or you witness abusive situations,

that causes trauma and stress.

And oftentimes in poor neighborhoods, there's not the opportunity

to receive the therapeutic services that are needed to deal with those situations.

And that's when you find that the students, the young people, often immerse themselves in the arts—or music.

♫I'm gonna lay down / My sword and shield♫

♫Down by the riverside / Down by the riverside♫

♫Down by the riverside / Down by the riverside♫

ENDEA: When I teach the kids, it reminds me of my upbringing.

You know, music was like an escape.

That was the only place that I wouldn't be able to think about everything going on outside, all the tough conditions. 15 00:01:2 3,350 --> 00:01:25,250 Music was my escape.

So, I can be that same vessel to the kids, and that's what I love about it.

Because a lot of the kids go through a lot that kids shouldn't go through.

So, I'm just happy that they can be in this space where they can just be themselves.

LAURIE: Education goes through ebbs and flows in terms of money and funding and budgets and budget cuts.

And whenever there is a budget cut, the first thing, first program to go in most schools are the arts programs.

And yet, that is the program that will really impact students the most. But, it's the first to go.

And it's my belief that the leadership of a school has to have the conviction

that if anything has to go, the arts classes will be the last to go.

Because that is the one area that will engage the students the most, that will keep them coming to school,

that will heal them when they're going through the trials and tribulations of the life that they live.

♫I'll fly away, oh glory♫

The Jazz at Lincoln Center program—it changes the atmosphere of a school. It elevates the culture.

It just transforms the spirit. And so, we love it.

♫By and by, I'll fly away♫

Zip codes do not determine giftedness.

Giftedness is in every community, in every color, and in every form.

♫I'll fly away♫

Sven - Hallo - A Voltron Music Video - Duration: 3:48.

(All space time...space time...spacetime)

A world away

Inside a ship

Confined

Gamara's Guns will fight for right

For all spacetime

A broken ship

Reality it tore

Hallo?

Are Alteans at the door?

I know their lying eyes

I can see their evil smiles

This comet's all they're wanting

To spread their evil far and wide.

Well no matter what they'll say

I know what Slav and I will do

The last thing

They'll hear me say is:

Yoo Hoo...

Yoo Hoo...

We're not alone

Imagine my surprise.

A brief showdown, then disbelief

in all your eyes.

The things you say

I'm not sure how you know.

Hallo?

No, my name is not Shiro.

Well I don't know where you're from

and I can't say what you'll do

I have my reservations

But my partner's trusting you.

So I pledge with all my heart

That Gamara will come through

When danger's near, I'll holler:

Yoo Hoo...

Yooooooooooooo....

Yoo Hoo...

oooooooooohoooo.....

Hallo?

I'm here lying on the floor.

Now I know where Voltron stands

And I know just what you'll do.

Lance, next time find some cover...

Still an honor saving you.

Only one varga, or two.

'Til next time we meet, friends,

5 More Strange Flying Machines - Duration: 11:26.

Everybody was so interested in our recent episode about weird aircraft that we figured

you'd like some more where that came from, and luckily there are lots and lots of weird aircraft!

The twentieth century was full of strange, experimental jets, but there have been plenty of other flying machines to choose from, too.

And we've learned a surprising amount from them.

With this episode, we'll see just how far people have drifted from your average plane, from gigantic flying ships to personal helicopters.

Which are like personal pizzas, but way more dangerous.

The Soviet Union's Caspian Sea Monster and other crafts like it spend most of their time in the water, and they officially count as ships.

Unofficially, they're totally just cool planes.

At about 75 meters long and over 500,000 kilograms when fully loaded, the Sea Monster was the largest plane in the world when it first flew in 1966.

Americans looking at satellite images quickly gave it its colorful name, though they also called it the KM, based on its Russian name.

Those Americans also noticed that the KM never seemed to fly high enough to register on conventional radar.

It only ever skimmed across the surface of waters like the Caspian Sea.

But it took years for them to realize that the KM never flew very high because it couldn't.

It only lifted off at all thanks to the ground effect.

Usually, part of the lift that lets planes fly comes from air getting pushed down as it flows past the wings.

In return, that pushes the plane up.

But near the ground, that air can't go any farther down once it's below the wings.

It just gets squished into the air that's already there.

The extra pressure from squishing the air pushes up on the wings even more than it would normally, giving the plane even more lift than usual.

The ground effect helps planes take off all the time, and it's part of that floating or bouncing feeling that they can have during landing.

And that extra lift provided by the ground effect was also just enough to keep the enormous KM in the air --

although it couldn't fly more than twenty meters or so above the water.

Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly the safest aircraft.

During flight, the slightest wrong twist would plunge the KM's gigantic wings straight into the water.

That might have been what happened when the only KM ever built crashed and sank into the Caspian Sea in 1980, though the details are still murky.

After that, the Sea Monster was never brought back, because by then, the Soviet Union had a few new ground effect planes.

Those flew into the 1990s before being retired, and there haven't been many ground effect planes since then

But there has been talk for the last couple of years of Russia bringing the program.

So soon, we might have another Caspian Sea Monster.

From one of the heaviest piloted planes ever to one of the lightest:

Please welcome the Gossamer Albatross, the first human-powered plane to cross the English Channel.

People have dreamed of human-powered flying machines for centuries, ever since somebody flapped their arms around.

But by the early 1900s, most designs had a pilot pedal something like a bicycle to get them moving fast enough to lift off.

No matter the design, though, the biggest challenge was always the same:

People and wings are heavy, and lifting that weight into the sky generally takes more energy than someone can muster.

The first big flap forward came in 1921, when champion cyclist Gabriel Poulain won 10,000 francs for his world-record, jaw-dropping… 11 and a half meter flight.

The Gossamer Albatross didn't come along until nearly 60 years later.

But when it did, it flew some 3000 times farther than that.

Like with Poulain's aircraft, the Albatross was also inspired by a cash prize.

This time, the money was offered by industrialist and inventor Henry Kremer.

He ultimately offered 200,000 dollars for the first human-powered flight from England to France -- a distance of 35.6 kilometers.

The Albatross was designed by engineer Paul MacCready, who had been the first to win another Kremer prize in 1977 with his bicycle-based Gossamer Condor.

MacCready prioritized weight over everything,

so he got rid of a lot of the heavier equipment that steadied or helped speed up other designs.

This made his aircraft, both the Condor and the Albatross, pretty slow, but they were super-light, and that was important.

The Albatross was based on the Condor, but it used carbon fibers and kevlar

to save weight without losing the strength it needed to hold up during a flight across the English Channel.

And at about 6:00 in the morning on June 12, 1979, pilot Bryan Allen lifted off and slowly flew away from the English coast.

He endured leg cramps, dehydration, broken radios, and broken wayfinding equipment during a flight that was slower and longer than expected due to strong cross winds.

But 2 hours and 49 minutes after takeoff, he and the Albatross landed in France -- ready to claim that 200,000 dollar prize.

And today, even in our jet-dominated world, human-powered planes are still out there in the skies -- including more than a few inspired by the Albatross.

In our last video, we talked about the X-29's backward wings and the V-22's folding wings.

But that's nothing compared to no wings, like on Avro Canada's VZ-9AV Avrocar: America's flying saucer!

At first, a saucer can seem like a great shape for an aircraft.

Air goes over it the same way in every direction, so flying in any direction should provide the same amount of lift.

Engineers thought so, too.

The Avrocar was supposed to be the prototype for a planned supersonic flying saucer that

could cruise 30 kilometers above the ground.

But don't break out the tin foil just yet.

Tests with the Avrocar taught us that large, saucer-shaped aircraft are super impractical.

Without wings, the only way the Avrocar could get off the ground was to suck air in the top and blast it out the bottom.

But even with three jet engines, it could only rise a meter off the ground before there wasn't enough of an air cushion to keep it stable.

And instead of zipping all over the place, it couldn't move any faster than about 50 kilometers an hour.

Now, the Air Force planned for their supersonic saucer to be the same shape, but with /six/ engines instead of three.

They hoped those extra engines would get it going about 70 times faster once it was up in the air, so maybe there was still hope.

To test their modified design, they put the original Avrocar in wind tunnels to see what a saucer-shaped craft would do at very high speeds.

They found that if the Avrocar could just go three or four times faster, the ground

effect would help it take off and get higher into the air.

Which would have been great news for the program,

if dust kicked up from the ground didn't constantly clog up the engines.

The wind tunnels also helped reveal a problem that stopped the entire program.

Even if a saucer got high in the air and up to really high speeds, it would jerk around uncontrollably, and engineers couldn't find a way to fix it.

With so many more conventional planes that already worked better than a flying saucer,

the U.S. government suspended the Avrocar project in 1961, after just a couple years of testing.

And plans for a supersonic flying saucer were canceled for good.

At least, that's what they /want/ you to think.

So far, we've seen one aircraft without an engine and another without wings, so why not one without either?

Because that's what came out of the Briegleb Glider Company in 1963, with the M2-F1.

The original idea was to use light, wingless aircraft to glide astronauts home from space, instead of capsules with parachutes on them.

But even though that ultimately didn't happen, that doesn't mean the M2-F1 was a dud.

Instead of wings, this craft had a rounded bottom and a flattened top, making it look kind of like a cone that got flattened on one side.

Engineers had discovered in the 1950s that this shape generated lift without wings, just based on how air moved past both sides of the flattened cone.

And the M2-F1 took full advantage of that discovery.

In early tests, it had to be towed behind a car because it had no engine of its own.

And once the car reached about 190 kilometers an hour, enough air would be moving over the aircraft that it would start to fly.

After a few hundred successful tests, engineers moved from towing the aircraft behind a car to towing it behind another plane.

This time, they released it about 3 and a half kilometers up so that it could glide down to the ground.

And in all 77 of those tests, it again maneuvered and landed safely.

Even with capsules successfully serving the space program, NASA kept researching new wingless designs, anyway, to learn how different shapes glided through the air.

Some were bigger than the M2-F1, some were heavier, and some even had their own engines.

And many of the designs worked well, even going supersonic a couple times.

But these lifting bodies, as they were known, also had a couple pretty nasty crashes --

including one whose footage made it into the opening sequence of "The Six Million Dollar Man"

… if anyone watching this remembers that show.

We have so many other ways of getting in the air that there aren't many wingless wonders these days.

But one of their biggest legacies is still world-famous, despite entering retirement back in 2011.

Because even though they had wings, the landing style of the Space Shuttles was inspired in part by the M2-F1 and its descendents.

If an aircraft without wings isn't extreme enough for you, there's the HZ-1 Aerocycle: a helicopter without any actual helicopter.

It was developed during the 1950s, the golden age of ridiculous flying machines.

And it featured two spinning sets of blades that acted like a helicopter and lifted a soldier high into the air.

The United States imagined giving them to soldiers so they could quickly move around in swarms and descend on a battlefield from above.

But there were a couple of holes in this plan.

For one, these were just regular soldiers, not trained Air Force pilots.

And each Aerocycle only fit one person on its pedestal.

Each rider would also get only about 20 minutes of training --

basically, a crash course in how to not fall into the spinning rotor blades of death below you..

If nothing else, at least the Aerocycle was easy to steer.

You controlled it almost like a Segway, by shifting your weight in the direction you wanted to go.

And it wasn't like there were /no/ safety precautions on there.

Each cycle's pedestal, where the soldier stood while driving, had its very own harness!

And early models even had airbags underneath to smooth out landings -- although those were later removed.

The first test flights were done with professional pilots in 1955, and they, surprisingly, went off without a hitch.

Unfortunately, the next round of testing was with less-experienced pilots.

And they didn't go as well -- although it wasn't really the pilots' fault.

A pair of crashes involved rotor blades smacking into each other as the Aerocycle flexed during flight,

and another came on a windy day when the Aerocycle was too unstable to control.

Wind tunnel tests also showed that the Aerocycle would pretty much always be unstable in high winds.

And those wind tunnel tests killed this incredibly dangerous project, just like they killed the Avrocar.

The amazing aircraft we've talked about in these videos are just beginning of the creative, sometimes terrifying designs that fill aviation history.

But every one of these weird experiments, whether it failed on the launch pad or was used for decades, has taught us something about flight.

They've helped us fly through the air faster and smoother than any bird ever could.

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow!

If you can't get enough of cool aircraft, you can watch our episode about the future of air travel.

Brie Larson Captain Marvel TEASES Thanos DEFEAT In Avengers 4 EndGame Spoilers - Duration: 12:44.

and you're a tree a race of noble boys heroes noble warrior heroes Bree I have

to say it's so awesome to see where you are right now because I remember you I

have like vivid in my mind back when you do in United States of Tara and I love

this show any of them some good comedies you've

done some good stuff at the drama and now here you are the most powerful

strongest character in Marvel that's gotta be insane and looking back all

this path you did in your career right yeah pretty well never would've guessed

I was gonna be here but here I am I'm not gonna fight your war

I'm gonna end it

and I think it's very cool that Marvin you are saying she is the most powerful

one in Marvel right but what about this big guy here I mean it's gonna run for

your money right Rippey to me what he looks kind of shrimpy creepy and looking

back when you've said yes for Captain Marvel when you people say when actors

say yes to Marvel it's like a big deal because it's gonna be years of your life

you're gonna have to do a bunch of PR promote the movie the secrets what is

the most scary part of it all scary part I mean I guess for me because I'm an

introvert like the idea of being something that's constantly observed and

the public is is a weird one it's my job is so odd in that way that in order to

like the more successful you get in my career there's like a very big pay

payout like you lose something every time you do another movie and the more

public you become and that's odd because I want to portray the human experience

so I need to be able to know what it's like to be a human and my experience is

shifting and changing so I'm trying to work very hard to be very like open with

the public about the fact that like I I really want to be able to exist in the

world I I I don't need all of the other fancy stuff I just want to be able to

make art and experience art and live my life as human

think I had a life here but I can't tell if it's real

I know you varied to art do you do that wasp I did yeah that's my humor is it

right yeah is amazing amazing and I was yesterday on your panel how crazy was

that 3300 nerds yelling yeah wild yeah and uh how was the tiny between shooting

Captain Marvel and I think Avenger 4 do you have any time between those you you

film together you've all been kind of yeah well uh Avengers was first eventual

force uh-huh and III miss you at the first trailer Marvel dropped the first

trailer I was like where's she what I know where is yeah we're she what's

going on I'm gonna end it

what is good YouTube warstu here with a video on Captain Marvel so as we

know Captain Marvel is the first of a trilogy of movies coming out next year

for Marvel obviously being Captain Marvel Avengers for spider-man far from

home so it's an awesome year for Marvel next year we've also got some banging DC

movies coming out Shazam which is gonna be pretty sweet so if you're new to

channel make sure to subscribe so recently in an interview Captain Marvel

was asked some pretty cool questions about Thanos and she said that Isis

shrimpie looking that's a pretty bold claim seeing as the gruesome fan offs

took out half of the universe and no one could hurt him well except for thought

with the storm breaker so the reason there's so much hype about Captain

Marvel and the reason there's so much hate around Captain Marvel is because

they're introducing a new character that is being told that she is the strongest

avenger they have ever introduced into the MCU and it's caused a lot of

controversy a lot of arguments saying they're trying to be social justice

warriors trying to being a female in to be the most powerful person ever but

realistically if you've seen the second Captain Marvel trailer she can fly she

can sho shoot post cannons energy from her wrists and she can fly in space so

that is why everyone's hyping her up she can move planets so that is a lot to be

riding on a shoulders it must be hard being her because she's the first female

to lead a MCU movie this has never been done before obviously we do have other

cat characters like Black Widow but Captain Marvel is the first solo movie

so it's gonna be absolutely fantastic so the fact she says Thanos is shrimpy

makes me believe that she could be one of the people to wield the Infinity

Gauntlet if that is actually the plan the common theory during its round and

being doing its round since the end of infinity war is Captain Marvel will most

likely be the character to wield the Infinity Gauntlet to take out fan ass

but I guess other people that could do it could be world breaker Hulk I did a

video on that today also iron man technique you could wear with it if he

modified his suit and that kind of stuff I guess they're really the three people

could wear with it I guess you could say from power level and obviously thought

could wear them so in a recent interview I think it was weird BuzzFeed I played a

clip before this video started the interviewer also asked her it was with

TNT and BuzzFeed I think so the interviewer asked her why we didn't get

a glimpse of her in the first trailer he was like where was she and she was like

hmm you have to wait and find out where she is

so obviously the last thing we found out in Avengers infinity war was the Nick

Fury before he was turned to dust by the decimation if you haven't read The

Avengers 2 a prelude they are officially cool in that finger-snap the decimation

he cooled brie Larson infraction no he didn't actually technically pick up a

telephone because in the times where he was sending a message to which is

technically to say its name year that technology wasn't around because it

comes out in a 90's so obviously it was a pager he sent a message on the pager

to Bri as she is the final bully so this is the reason why everyone seems to

think that she is going to be the one to take out Thanos and she is gonna be the

one to save Iron Man from dying and start the movie even though they're not

going to kill Iron Man at the start of the movie she's gonna be so pinnacle but

from a storytelling point of view if the last thing we seen was Nick Fury pagent

Captain Marvel then technically if she doesn't come on the screen within the

first 20 minutes it's gonna be like what the hell is going on so I'm expecting

her to have a cosmic awareness to pick up Tony Stark on the way home possibly

I mean he's not too far away from where the where the Kree are base so in the

comics she does have cosmic awareness so she would obviously know that half the

universe disappeared because if it is concurrently happening in every kind of

universe of the earth where the Curia brace and every other planet then

technically half the Kree population would also disappear so she would be

aware of this already and getting the text message stroke pager from her boy

Nick Fury it will be clear of what's happened but obviously obviously the fad

and Nick Fury contacts Captain Marvel he probably thinks it's scroll based now

there's lots of kind of new info coming out up from the latest trailer that was

kind of under because obviously as soon as the engines

for endgame trailer came out nobody what no one was talking about that but we've

got lots of cool new stuff I did do a breakdown about that I think it's pretty

cool I don't think captain Marvel's gonna be

a scroll that would be silly to have the face of phase 4 because they're going

cosmic being a Skrull I do think there will be a secret scroll so I think this

key to defeating phallus is Captain Marvel we already know this this is

being confirmed she called him shrimpy and if anything's

go by obviously the actor that plays Robert Downey jr. in Avengers movies is

called Robert Downey jr. and he said in an Aldi advert that he drives his car in

Avengers 4 so if you're gonna take that as a massive spoiler then you should

take what brie Larson has said when she said that honest his rather shrimpy as

she defeats him confirm now I'm pretty sure she's gonna turn up and she's gonna

absolutely wipe the field with everyone in her way at the end of the Captain

Marvel trailer she said she's gonna take everyone out herself she's gonna be an

absolute savage no one else in team Avengers is gonna be a threat no one's

gonna intimidate her because she is gonna be a freakin boss when we first

see her in the Captain Marvel movie she doesn't know how to use a pass but that

was in the 90s we're now in the 2018 2019 when this movie actually comes out

so she is gonna be hoeing a POW she's gonna know everything about her powers

and they're all going to be Merman I'm pretty sure there's gonna be some epic

epic dialogue between Captain Marvel and Iron Man because she's the replacement

for Iron Man essentially I'm actually really looking forward to where this

Captain Marvel is gonna go where she's gonna appear after this how popular

movies gonna be I really hope people take this movie seriously because

concurrently if you want to know what's going on with endgame Avengers 4 you've

gotta watch the brie Larson Captain Marvel movie because that is the last

movie before it and you know that post-credits scene it's kind of directly

set up what's coming up in Avengers r4 and also we are gonna find out more

about the quantum realm inside that movie so Captain Marvel is going to

fight fan off another movie just like well break a hault could be it's hard

to figure out cuz obviously we want the Hulk rematch with fan offs

but also we want Captain Marvel to come down and absolutely annihilate fast so

who would you rather take out Dallas would you want the Hulk to wield the

Infinity Gauntlet or the stark gauntlet I think that calling it or do you want

Captain Marvel to come down wield at the Infinity Gauntlet or wheel

well if any stones because she is that damn powerful and take out on us that

way either way Captain Marvel knows the most about the universe knows a lot more

than anyone else hence why Captain Nick Fury I guess if you want to call captain

Nick Fury hence why Nick Fury contacted brie Larson Captain Marvel she is the

key to the feat in fast and she is the key to the MCU future so I really think

the quote when she said he's rather shrimpy looking tells us that she is

going to wipe the face with Thanos anyway guys please like subscribe and

comment we do have a competition at the moment to win an Avengers infinity war

blu-ray or Deadpool super duper duper - or a minor what are you gonna do

subscribe to the channel and comment down below who is your favorite

superhero or super villain thank you for all the love and support I get on this

channel even if you're positive or negative it's all good vibes with me

anyway do you agree that Captain Marvel movie is gonna be groundbreaking

it's gonna change the game so just a side question if you've seen all the

movies this year at come on in - Spidey verse infinity war and man and wasps

Deadpool what is your favorite superhero movie of the year now I might get a bit

hate for this but for me I personally think into the spotty verse was such a

fun movie obviously it's not serious like Thor 3 or anything like that

but in spite of us for me was my favorite movie of the year

so if you have got this far drop down what is your favorite movie of the year

so far and do you want me to do a spoiler video for either Aquaman or into

the Spidey verse or any other movie and I'm trying to get more into movie

reviews as I think they are quite cool when it's centric to the pop culture

kind of DC Marvel stuff we do on this channel so guys brie Larson just dropped

a massive teaser on how she's gonna defeat phallus

but I think it's really cool they didn't actually involve it in the first trailer

I really hope keep away from trainer two as well we

don't need to see Bri last and they were one I need to keep brie Larson hidden

until she appears in Avengers for flying with the Mohawk it's gonna look

fantastic I can't wait any guys all your feedback down below would be awesome and

I will catch you in another video very soon guys catch ya later

have to start with this any boot collection needs to start out with a

basic Chelsea boot for my basic Chelsea boot I actually picked and why I picked

the yeast Saint Laurent Johnny this was actually designed by the master

Tom Ford himself while he was still at YSL so you know that means I had to

reach back what I loved about it is it has the higher Cuban heel you can look

at the unique styling around the boot got and they just wear so well this is

my standard black Chelsea boot I rock this often especially when I'm wearing a

suit it's my go-to standard black shells next up guys you know I love the brand

mcmoney and this is a nice great burnished look this is almost like the

Shawn except of course it has the leather soles guys I dig this pair

because sometimes you don't want to necessarily wear the Cuban heel and you

want something a little bit more muted you don't want to necessarily be

standing so much out it just needs to be a little bit more toned down this boot

is great for that you could easily gotten this in black

but I actually chose to get it in a darker gray and to some variety to my

collection

keep on moving up the rank this one right here is the SLP Saint Laurent de

Paris SLP this style is called the Wyatt the Wyatt 40 and 40 just means the

height of the heel it comes in 30 40 45 it even goes up to 85 I like 40 better

than 30 I like 40-billion 30 cuz it gives you a

little bit more height and I thank the way the boot actually wears guys this

one if you saw my unboxing video this boot is life when you style it right

guys I have a lookbook video coming up when I'm going to be rocking this with a

cool SLP scarf in this first coat just wait this way this wait wait for

everybody this sits back and cracks the Ronald McDonald jokes but I tell you

right now you actually had enough cojones to put these on styling right

they will change your life

geez right here of my SLP jodhpurs I did an SLP unboxing on these jodhpurs these

are great boots to wear with breeches breeches like you know back in the

question times these are great boots to wear with jeans just like the other ones

this actually has the 30 heel on them guys you can actually wear these boots

with all the same places same outfit they all work from casual almost a

dressy I wouldn't not necessarily dress these up but these are great with a nice

street style more relaxed way this comes in a variety different colors and

textures every one of these boots can come in suede they can come in tan ochre

olive brown Burgundy so many different options you just need to know what works

for you I like mine and black because you guys know I like to rock a lot of

monochrome and especially when you got your black leather look just can't beat

it

this right here is the Laroy from the brand mcnutty I love this double monk

strap style this is much more of a dress boot for me it's an ankle boot so it

doesn't come all the way up nice Brown burnishing gives you a whole different

look of course guys this look killer with the suit

this looks killer with trousers and it still past the white t-shirt test but

for me this is a more dressy pair of boots something to wear to the office

just a place where you actually won't just look like a sophisticated grown

damn man this is a great look and this Brown fits exceptionally well right here

in my wardrobe this next Paris for the brand keep on sheet and guys I love this

cognac color shiny leather with wrinkle again this Brown is the opposite from

that Brown these honestly a little bit more casual more fashion-forward you can

actually wear this with a casual suit I definitely would not put this together

with a real business suit or something it's just a little more relaxed look but

it's a hell of a street wear look and it looks great with the t-shirt and some

jeans great with the t-shirts of jeans that are on a simple jacket guys these

are great knock around everyday boots for me for my particular style

personality guys can't beat this boot love it love

it and probably the workhorse for this side

is going to be this one right here it's the SLP harness boot this thing is

iconic sometimes people actually get soul protectors but I actually don't

like those as much blessed voids the warranty on the booth guys there are

many different versions than this Buddha out there on the market

SLP in my opinion is the standard is the benchmark yes save your pennies you're

gonna invest in any of the boots on here I will tell you to invest in the SLP but

me getting this shoe was actually an odyssey I'll tell you more about that

later but guys I'm so glad I got the pair I did it like I said you don't

necessarily wonder if you decide to get the vibram if you decide to get the

soles on just know it avoid the warranty and when I'm speaking of warranty I'm

saying SLP no matter how you buy it with you buying retail you could even get

them from someone else even get them for someplace else as long as it's within

two years of the production date they warranty the entire shoe the workmanship

to heal whatever you could send it back and they will actually repair your boot

as long as you don't put any kind of aftermarket stuff on it all right next

up probably one of my favorite boots here this is none other than McNally

this is the Shaw and this is a suede I love this charcoal burnished black suede

killer killer boot look at the Laroy up there and this is the more casual

version of that my only downside for this I wish it went further up I just

don't like it as much as an ankle boot I wish it would higher but it's so cool I

like it's so cool I had to put this in my collection this guy's just works so

well again works so well for those casual situations you saw the red wires

over there now I have a black wire but this black white is more but this black

white is different notice the smooth leather over there this is what's called

the crinkle leather guys i'ma tell you I didn't think I would like this one as

much as I did until I put it on and saw they and saw how it opened my wardrobe I

love this pair of boots and I rock it well with casual looks I rocket well

with a suit that surprised me and for these I actually put the cap

the heel and on the tone I'm gonna do it with each of the boots I purchased

that's what I recommend for you guys to go put a tap on that heel and on the toe

I would forego the soles but those things actually wear that instead of

wearing down your heels guys I love this boot I love it love it love it and I

like the fact that it's shiny then all you can really do is just wipe it off

wipe it off and of course you know I keep super question I keep shoe trees in

these things wipe it off put them back in the box

ready to go for the next wearing this boot right here is a beige suede and the

company is called from the first it's actually one of those companies that

tries to kind of mirror what SLP is doing with the Wyatt boot guys I'm gonna

tell you this is probably the best quote-unquote imitation SLP boot on the

market sleek styling I love the shaft construction basically they've taken

everything people like about the SLP boots taking the best aesthetic from

each season and put it all into one boot no because it's a small company they

have black and they have this color then they're starting to add a few more

colors I'll leave a link down in the description they're not sponsoring this

video but I just think they're a cool brand and if you actually just want to

build up your boot collection guys this pair of wares come flip them in I like

the SLP more but this is a great boot as well next up from Calvin Klein we have

my black suede pair guys SLP makes a boot called the Lucas but I like this

one better by Calvin Klein why I just love to heel and I love these square toe

guys tell you this is great casual boot great casual boot especially for the

fall and wintertime looks great with jeans and a sweater you think that's

really just quite essentially masculine simple monochrome look this black suede

just adds so much depth so much feel to your wardrobe you can't go wrong with

your pair of black suede boots hold on I know some of you guys are probably

thinking will dissuade what about in the winter in the fall just make sure you

get some spray protectant on it spray the back corner make sure it doesn't

change it I make sure before I wear any of my boots I spray them down and

protect them so if they get dirty water stains or whatever if the spray

protectant will give you a nice layer of protection wipe it set it

and forget it get you a nice slate brush and unless Windows erases to erase

anywhere stains and you're moving this pair right here is a con yak color

parent from the brand McNally yeah mcnutty makes it again have the shiny

leather and I have the kayak suede you guys this looks killer especially with

my cognacs suede jacket again fall is a great time for suede boots and I love

this rich brown color I've actually showed these on my

Instagram so guys you want to see some of these looks make sure you check me

out on my Instagram I'll leave a link down the description check out my

wardrobe lookbook some things I can't always post on YouTube but I gotta admit

my favorite pair of suede boots are these from SLP this is much more of an

ochre coat that's a little bit 10 kind of green it's a highly sought after hard

to get color guys I'll tell you this with white this with 10 this was brown

this was gray oh forget about it just forget about it this is so cool even an

all-black look putting these on I'm sitting here getting excited just

thinking about the combinations and that's what I love about each one of

these too it opens your wardrobe up and allows you so many combinations again

whatever canvas you're painting on you can add the details with these boots

these are breaking killer and last but certainly not least the latest edition

one of the latest additions to my collection the SLP French 45 this kind

of might be something at the Renaissance turn Renaissance period then more

pointed toe but again we got the crinkled leather the Cuban heel it's 45

the 45 indicates the height of the heel look this boot guys just watch what I do

with it just watch what I do it again it's again

this one guys straddles that line between bad boy and you can still dress

it up in a European style personality so many cool things you can do with this

particular boot loving this boot loving this edition and that's it guys for

right now I say for right now no may add more

boots to the collection gods as I start to really understand my style

personality I really start to drill down to what makes me really happy and what I

like to wear you're gonna see me in a lot of boots monk straps and then to a

lesser degree like velvet loafers simple things like that to just pass the white

t-shirt test but like I would say guys don't just leave it up to me hit us up

the comment section let us know do you have a great shoe collection do you have

a boot collection do you have a mug strap collection do you even have a

SNL cold open imagines a world where Trump isn't president - Duration: 9:18.

Saturday Night Live opened with a White House-themed parody of iconic Christmas movie It's a Wonderful Life

Alec Baldwin came back to play Donald Trump, who suddenly finds himself in an alternate reality where he's no longer president - and everyone is better off

The black-and-white sketch titled 'It's A Wonderful Trump' begins with Baldwin's Trump wishing that he had never become president

He is then guided by Kenan Thompson as Melania, Kellyanne Conway, his supposed new wife 'Hernia' and others share what their lives look like in a world where Hillary Clinton is president instead

This week's host Matt Damon reprised his role of Brett Kavanaugh while Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro stepped in as Michael Cohen and Robert Mueller, respectively

Scroll down for video  The skit opens with Baldwin's Trump standing on a White House balcony and remarking: 'Well, I don't think I can do this anymore

I think I might actually eat a salad and explode.'Thompson - playing the role of a spirit named Clarence - then appears and asks him what's wrong, to which Trump replies: 'Oh, it's awful

Everything is falling apart. Sometimes I wish I had never been president.'Next thing he knows, Trump finds himself in the White House surrounded by familiar faces played by a star-studded SNL ensemble

First up in the string of confrontations is Aidy Bryant as Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who has become a PR representative for Facebook, Ashley Madison, and 'The Romaine Lettuce Association'

RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next Ariana Grande rushes to Pete Davidson's 30 Rock SNL office

Pete Davidson will STILL appear on SNL hours after sharing. Share this article Share Next is Kate McKinnon as Kellyanne Conway, who Trump says is looking 'healthy and vibrant'

She responds by saying: 'Actually that's because I'm actually no longer eaten from within by lies

And after we lost the campaign, the devil gave me back my soul.Adding a jab related to real-life Conway's recent marital troubles, she says: 'Excuse me, I have to go find my husband, who I speak to now

' After she walks away, Trump asks Clarence: 'Wait, so Hillary is president?'The ghost replies: 'That's right

In this reality, all she had to do to win was visit Wisconsin once.'Trump inquires: 'Well, did they find her e-mails?' to which Clarence responds: 'They did

They were all Bed, Bath and Beyond coupons.'Eric and Donald Trump Jr, as played by Alex Moffatt and Mikey Day respectively, appear as much more intelligent versions of themselves

When asked what had changed, Clarence tells Trump: 'Well, since Eric does not run the entire trump organization, he was able to attend adult education classes

' Eric says: 'Merry Christmas, father. Or as they say in Spanish, Feliz Nasty Dad

' Cecily Strong reprised her impression of Melania, who had divorced Trump, was happily married to Papa John and suddenly doesn't have an accent

'They said being around you all the time was hurting my language skills,' she says

. Trump asks: 'Michael Cohen, shouldn't you be in jail after you flipped on me?'Cohen replies: 'What? I would never, ever flip on you

You're my best friend. And since it's Christmas, I just want to say, you taught me everything I know

'Every single thing I've done is because you directed me to do it. And I hope everyone knows it

We're a team like O.J. And Kato, or Lyle and Erik Menendez. 'I'll see you tomorrow at the grand opening of Trump Tower Moscow!' Beck Bennett played Mike Pence, who was DJ-ing the Christmas party in the sketch

'It's so great to be myself. Thank god I was never your vice president,' he says

'I would just be sitting in meetings you with and Pelosi and Schumer just staring out in space imagining this

' Damon's Kavanaugh isn't on the Supreme Court in the alternate universe, as the character remarks: 'Me on the Supreme Court? With my temperament? Are you insane?' 'No, they went with that nerd Merrick Garland

But on the plus side when I tell people I like beer, they find it charming and not like I'm threatening violence

'Plus, I have so much more time now to hang out with P.J. and Squee and needle d*** Nick and no means yes Nate

' Robert De Niro capped off the cold open as Mueller, telling Trump: 'I have something for you

'Trump asks: 'Is it a subpoena or your final report?''No, it's a picture of my grandson,' Mueller replies

'Been spending so much more time with him since I don't have to investigate some idiot for treason

' After meeting with all the guests Trump says: 'Wow, this night has put everything into perspective

I have had an epiphany. I guess the world does need me to be president after all

'Clarence replies: 'Yeah, that was not the lesson at all.'

Making Progress - Duration: 6:20.

Hi my loves and welcome back.

We're carrying on with the limited-palette, dominant-hue paintings today…

I don't know if I can call it huevember since it's not November and I'm using

more than one colour but I definitely need a shorter name for it.

But yeah, after the last video, I felt really pumped to keep going with these.

Please do check out that last video if you haven't seen it, it'll kind of explain

everything about what I'm doing and why and where the paints came from and all that.

The comments on that video were such a treat to read through as well.

Lots of people being really open and sharing their art fears, and as always it's really

encouraging for me to see that we're all pretty much feeling the same things, being

afraid to start painting because we know it won't turn out how we want it to.

A few people thought I was being too hard on myself, which is really sweet, but I really

don't see it like that, and I hope I didn't come across as self-deprecating.

When I talk about 'bad' art- and I always put bad in quotations because it all depends

on how you look at it- I usually just mean bad compared to what I had hoped for- but

when I talk about that work, or making mistakes, I'm not doing from a place of judgement,

I think it's important to be able to see the flaws in your work, objectively, and use

them as a starting point for learning and improvement.

So yeah, whenever I talk about things going wrong or not particularly liking a piece of

work I've made, I might be disappointed that I've spent time on something that hasn't

turned out how I wanted, but I'm never being down on myself or hard on myself about it,

and I hope you can see it that way when I do express these things.

There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that you've not delivered your best work,

especially when we're talking about using painting practice to hone in on weak skill

areas and put time into working on them.

Anyway, with this first painting, I had these lovely pinks to work with and my first thought

was to paint trees in blossom.

I thought about where I felt I'd gone wrong with my last paintings and I made a conscious

effort to really simplify this one and use a few broad shapes to tell the whole story,

so instead of painting individual trees, I just suggested a forest with one area of darker

colour.

That's another thing I was trying to work on this time round, really making the most

of changes in value to make one area stand out from another.

I paid more attention to laying in simple shapes to start and then layering on top to

add more character and texture.

This one wasn't a total knockout for me, but I felt a lot happier and a lot closer

to delivering the image that I'd initially had in my head onto paper.

Next, we were working with purples, and this colour palette was a surprise favourite for

me.

There are a couple of colours that I used here that I want to use now every day for

the rest of my life, they're just that beautiful.

Mainly the quinacridone violet and mineral violet, the two main colours I use in this

painting.

They just have such beautiful qualities to them as a paint, really multi-tonal, lots

of subtle shifts into more of an indigo-y undertone, and the way they behave when they

come into contact with water, these were a really lucky choice for a cloud painting as

the paints have such an ethereal and fluid nature to them, just like clouds do.

As with last time, I was spurred on with a lot more confidence this time round, and I

had a really clear idea in my mind of what I wanted from this painting, even though I

wasn't exactly sure how I'd do it.

I just followed my gut and what I ended up with was something I really really liked.

This one is definitely my favourite so far.

Colour-wise and stylistically.

One little cheat is that I mainly used 3 of the 4 colours and sneaked bright violet in

only in the top right hand corner.

But hey, my challenge, my rules.

I was trying something new with each painting- seeing what worked and what didn't- and

with this one, I really wanted to spend more time layering.

It takes a little bit more thought and planning, figuring out what goes where first, and what

needs to be dry before you can go over it, but I think it worked out quite effectively

in this case.

This last one is a coral reef, I was mainly looking forward to using the lush, dark indigo

that you'll see right at the end, it has such a depth to it, I thought it would be

perfect for depicting under the sea.

I think this is the best one in terms of keeping it simple, though the clouds are still my

favourite overall.

It was interesting to find out your opinions from the last video, as you clearly all see

things differently to me, and a different point of view can be so refreshing.

So I'd love to hear what you think.

I personally can see where I'm improving and that's really encouraging.

Hopefully, I can stay intentional in the way I'm working, keep paying attention to where

I'm maybe going off track and how I can get closer to the work I want to be making.

What's fun about this challenge is that there's really no pressure for me.

I'm making some fun, basic, colourful paintings, just to see what happens.

That reminds me, a couple of people have messaged me asking if these will be available as prints.

I really do like the idea of selling them all as a set in the end, I think it would

be cool to have a rainbow of prints on the wall, but for now I don't really want to

think about it like that.

I don't want to go into these paintings with the idea that they're going to end up

as a product because I think that'll limit me in my experimentation, wanting to just

do it perfectly so it's something worth selling.

So thank you to the people who have expressed interest in having this work in print, I'm

definitely not saying no, I'm just saying that I'm not saying yes.

I'm going to keep working on these for me, and sharing the journey with you guys, and

we'll se what we end up with when its all done.

Anyway, thank you guys for joining me again, I hope you enjoyed the video, and I will see

you soon for the next one.

Bye!
