start recording for free
If this is your first time you will be prompted to launch and install the free recorder

Go ahead and download it
Once installed just a one click launch
Now you can record the screen,webcam or both.
You have a maximum duration of 15 minutes to record.
You record as many videos as you want as long as their are 15 minutes long .
To have unlimited recording, minutes you have to upgrade to their software.
You can resize the the area of your recording
You can record any part of your video I mean any part of your screen that you want

With webcam selected you can drag and resize the webcam frame within recording area.
You can also pre- select the HT sizes 480p, 720p and full screen
Now to start recording make sure that the narration bar is flashing
You can also select preferences such as hot key webcam key count down option
you can change all these for they are in default.
Once that is done hit the record key and
start recording on count down of three so in this case I'm recording this
part of the area.You can pause and i can proceed to where I left
You can also delete everything and start over. and once done hit the done button
You can trim start and the end part of the video
in this case I want to listen to what I have just recorded
I am recording this part of the area

once done you can save your video to your computer and also save it to YouTube and
click on screencast-o-matic
