And if you are new to my channel, make sure you are subscribed for new videos every Tuesday
about Mindset, Career Strategy, and Personal Branding.
So without any further adieu, here are my top picks for YouTube channels and podcast
that will get you in the right mindset to create you life on your own terms.
Marie Forleo is a an entrepreneur and philanthropist who is dedicated to helping you become the
person you most want to be.
As Marie Forleo puts it herself, her online show MarieTV is the place to be, to create
a business and life that you love.
The topics that Marie talks about in her show include mindset, building a meaningful business,
productivity, overcoming self doubt & fear, finding clarity, passion, & purpose, finding
your voice, life advice, money mindset, and doing good in the world.
If I were to describe the Marie's channel in five words, those words would be: creative,
funny, straightforward, actionable, and compelling.
And everytime I watch one of Marie Forleo's episodes, I just get so inspired to not only
get my mindset right, but also to take action so I can start serving others to my fullest.
And what I love most about Marie Forleo is definitely her personality because she is
just so much fun to watch.
And I will be putting together a playlist of my top 3 favorite videos from MarieTV,
and I will be putting them in a playlist which will be linked down in the description box
below, so make sure you check it out.
And I will be doing the same for all the other channels I talk about in this video.
Now, Gary Vaynerchuk, or Gary Vee for short, is no doubt one of the most famous influencers
and entrepreneurs in today's world.
Gary Vee posts content on YouTube basically every single day.
And Gary Vee is most known for his honest and raw perspectives on topics such as life,
entrepreneurship, and business, and online marketing, and social media.
And Gary Vee puts out so much real, hard knowledge and truth bombs, and one of my favorite quotes
from him is "The only differentiator in this game is your passion and your hustle".
And I think this quote is really reflective of Gary Vee's philosophy because he always
talks about how even if you have an idea, it is the execution of that idea that makes
all the difference.
And if I had to describe Gary Vee's channel in five words, those words would be: unfiltered,
direct, motivational, impactful, and intense.
And everytime I watch one of Gary Vee's videos, I just get in such a hustle mode and
I just want to get things done NOW.
Anna Akana is a filmmaker, actress, and comedian who is most known for her YouTube channel.
And Anna Akana makes very hilarious and relatable short videos about topics such as overthinking,
mental health, and getting your life together.
And my favorite thing about Anna Akana is definitely the fact that she is a cat lady
and she has five cats.
If I had to describe Anna Akana's videos in five words, those words would be: funny,
direct, unfiltered, to the point, and entertaining.
And I always look forward to every time she uploads a new video because she always puts
such a fresh and honest spin on every days topics, whether it is through her editing
style or through her words.
Mel Robbins is a motivational speaker and entrepreneur who talks about mindset, human
behavior, creating change in a very to-the-point yet relatable way.
And she is all about how you are just one decision away from a totally different life.
And all of her content is focused around the message of how you just need to take action,
no excuses.
And if I had to choose five words to describe Mel Robbins, those words would be: direct,
practical, unfiltered, thoughtful, and pushing (so, not pushy, but rather, pushing me to
take action).
And I really like watching Mel Robbins because she makes me feel like I know what I need
to do, and I know why I need to do it, but the only thing lacking is the actual doing.
So that's why I really like to watch her videos because it just gives me that extra
push that I need sometimes.
So those were my top 4 recommendations for YouTube channels, now let's move on to podcasts.
The core of this podcast is that pursuing work you want is always worth it.
This podcast is all about inspiring you to become a doer and to take action, instead
of simply dreaming about what your life could be.
And if I had to choose five words to describe this podcast, those words would be: calming,
put-together, inspirational, down to earth, and welcoming.
And the Women, Work, & Worth podcast was actually the the first podcast that I really got into,
and I completely binged on it.
And it was this podcast that really gave me the confidence to start developing clarity
on what it is that I want in my own life.
And I really recommend listening to "Living Life By Design, Not By Default with Darrah
Brustein" - So this episode was really pivotal for me because it made me realize the importance
of living an intentional life.
So put another way, we should reflect and design a life we want, as opposed to just
following the status quo and checking off all the boxes that society tells us to check
off, because we can still achieve a lot while being our true authentic selves.
The Self Made Man podcast is all about the knowledge and skills that you need in order
to achieve your goals in life and business.
Topics covered on the show include mindset, productivity, entrepreneurship, money, health
& fitness, and marketing, and life & relationships.
If I had to describe this podcast in five words, those words would be: practical, logical,
business-like, direct, and masculine.
And my favorite episode from this podcast would be "How to Grow a Massive YouTube
Empire with Dan Lok".
And Dan Lok is someone I also follow on YouTube.
In this interview, Dan Lok talks about how YouTube has really propelled his business
to where it is today.
Now, putting aside all of the business and strategy and tips that Dan Lok provides, putting
all that aside, my favorite part about this episode is when he shared that his inspiration
for starting a YouTube channel was because of another YouTube called Superwoman, and
actually, he was lining up for a Superwoman show in Vancouver, and he was in a line with
all these other teenage girls screaming for Superwoman.
Imagine this middle aged man named Dan Lok, imagine him in a crowd of teenage girls, and
he was beginning to see the impact of how powerful YouTube can be.
The Don't Keep Your Day Job podcast is all about finding purpose in your work and life
and being aligned with your true self.
Whether you want to start a business or just want to build a life you love, this podcast
will inspire you to become the best version of yourself and to create your life on your
own terms.
And if I had to describe the overall vibe of the podcast in five words, those words
would be: bright, cheeky, intentional, easy going, and light hearted.
One episode that I really recommend you to listen to is "How to Be Boss with Emily
Thompson & Kathleen Shannon", who are the hosts of another podcast that I'm subscribed
to called the Being Boss Podcast.
And in this episode, the ladies talk about their tips on how to get clear on what you
want, creating a life that is financially viable yet still defines who you are, and
just other awesome tidbits about living your best life.
So that wraps up my top recommendations for YouTube channels and podcasts that really
will inspire you to get in the right mindset and start creating the life that you want.
If you enjoy watching this video, please give it a thumbs up, and if you want to see new
videos every Tuesday on Mindset, Career Strategy, and Personal Branding, then definitely don't
forget to subscribe.
Thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
