Not A Batman Movie | Burtonmas, day 1 - Duration: 5:11.
- [PeeWee] You don't wanna get mixed up with a guy like me.
[static-y, electronic emo music plays] - [PeeWee] I'm a loner. A rebel.
- [Christopher Lee] Let's see what the damage is, shall we?
- Hi everybody! Don't "at" me, but I don't like Batman.
Just bats.
I like bats.
There is no doubt in my mind that Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film has made its mark on the
world of superhero movies.
Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne is revered by Batfans and Jack Nicholson is one of the most admired Jokers.
But I think there's something to be said for this film leading the way for future, and
vastly different, Batman incarnations on screen, while also maybe not living up to its own legendary status
Burton's Batman is dark and edgy in the way a lot of his films are - maybe a little
lacking on the political end, even with the barely there Harvey Dent subplot concerning
Gotham's finances. You have a billionaire hermit running around town,
being quite and honestly kind of adorable! Tax him!
The visual influences from early noir films and comic books are clear, the sets are interesting
and fun...or at least as fun as dark and gritty Batman gets, and even the deviations from the comic books
don't really seem to bug most diehard comics fans - at least not from what I've seen.
Cool, now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's talk about how this movie fits
in...or doesn't...with modern superhero movies.
- You wanna get nuts?! C'mon! Let's get nuts.
- This is not a Batman film. And I'm not the first person to say that.
Despite opening on a scene that feels very much like a Batman origin, the movie quickly
diverts, forgets about its titular character for most of the runtime,
and focuses mainly on the Joker.
It's a Joker origin story, and given the fact that Beetlejuice came out the year before it
I'm not surprised whatsoever.
But thanks to a little movie called The Dark Knight - dunno if you've heard of it or
anything [scoffs] - I think Burton's Batman would have a chance to thrive,
if it were hypothetically being released now.
So, as Lego Batman - the most important Batman to date - points out, there have been...plenty
of incarnations of Brucey on the big screen.
Burton's Batman is probably one of the more memorable because it's a pretty seamless
blend between the campy parts of the 1966 Adam West show and the darker, grittier bits
of the movies that came after it.
It doesn't take itself too seriously, but still has moments of,
if not introspection, then at least complex emotion.
And, by the very virtue of Burton's Batman being a movie that features Batman,
I think it still make a shitton of money at the theoretical box office.
In much the same way that every one of these completely unnecessary and drawn out Fantastic
Beasts movies will continue to be made and make money, Batman movies - and superhero
movies in general - will do so as well.
At this point, it doesn't matter what the quality of these movies and franchises are.
It doesn't matter who's in the cast, and who's not, who's writing the movies and who's not.
It just matters that people will pay to see these movies, and that more movies will be made.
HOWEVER.
In the wake of The Dark Knight, and no other Batman movie because none but
The Lego Batman movie have lived up to the artistry of the Nolanverse, Burton's Batman would most
likely be reviewed along the lines of Suicide Squad. Which I, unfortunately, saw.
They are vastly different movies, yes, but they suffer from similar story problems - their
plots meander meaninglessly - and both films treat their main characters as if they're
more interesting than the writing allows them to be.
And let's not forget that Jared Leto's sorry excuse of a Joker is closer
to Jack Nicholson's iconic interpretation than Heath Ledger's.
There are plenty of controversial and opposing views on what makes a good action or superhero
movie, and maybe there isn't just one set of standards to look at.
But I genuinely believe that Burton's Batman doesn't do what we expect new superhero movies to do.
We expect good, compelling writing, interesting and storied characters, complex dynamics between
good and evil, mysteries that can be carried from one movie to the next.
For the most part, we've moved away from campy superhero movies,
and when we do get them, they're not nearly as successful as the thoughtful and
thought provoking superhero movies we've come to expect.
So between Burton, the studio producers, and a dash of Warren Skaaren,
Batman doesn't really know what it is. Or, if it does, it's not what it promises to be.
Maybe that's a result of Burton not being a fan of comic books.
Maybe he lacked the context for Batman going into the project to understand what would
make his version of Bruce and the Joker actually stand the test of time.
And, I think, because we've moved into an era of superhero movies that are made for moviegoers,
rather than just comic book fans, Burton's Batman would only pale in comparison to movies
like Wonder Woman, The Avengers, and Logan.
It would end up being something like 2017's Beauty and the Beast: just another cog in
a money-making machine for the sake of maintaining the money-making.
We'll see you tomorrow.
- [Sarah] Let us also just take a moment to be grateful,
on behalf of all the other Jokers, that Christopher Lee never had the chance to play the character.
- [Paige] Hey! You can't just come in here and derail my video with your unnatural Christopher Lee thirst!
- [Sarah] A vampiric. Joker. Paige! You cannot honestly tell me that wouldn't have been hot!
- [Paige] Sarah, get out of my video.

Acupressure Foot Massage Therapy Sandals 🍀BYRIVER (Plantar Fasciitis Relief) Review ⭐ - Duration: 5:01.
Hey guys welcome back to the channel! I have got some foot massage reflexology
sandals to show you today. These are from BYRIVER and they come in various sizes
and colors right now I have the large alright so you might notice that these
sandals are not as fashionable as you might think
but that's because they're not designed to be fashionable they are designed to
provide foot therapy they can particularly help with plantar fascitis
which is a common foot problem that can be very painful for a lot of people and
wearing these can give you some relief now I don't have that condition but I do
get sore feet a lot from walking certain exercise you know just everyday things
so these would be a great addition to your health and beauty products if you
are prone to any sort of foot pain here's a closer look at each sandal
itself these little point acupuncture points right here go up and down when
you put pressure so if you put your foot in don't get it go down just giving you
a better look now these straps up here are adjustable
so depending on your foot size foot width how thick the socks are you have
on you know that's up to you now these can be a little bit
uncomfortable when you first put them on if you're not used to this particular
type of shoe I put these on for about 10 minutes before this video and I will say
I didn't have any pain but I kind of felt a lot better for some reason maybe
just some extra pressure I was used to but they do certainly work these are not
designed to be worn at all times they recommend start starting with about 15
minutes a day and you can wear them with or without socks it's more comfortable
to start with socks in my purse piñon especially if you're not used to
them as I did mention earlier they do come in other colors I do have this
color right here as you can see the little acupuncture points are a little
bit different but you still get the same experience all right so I'm going to
show you what these look like on my feet and I'm wearing the large ones it's just
in case you were wondering and they do come in small and medium as well all
right so these are the large ones as they just mentioned and if you want a
reference I'm about a 11 and a half to 12 in women's 10 and a half and men's I
can certainly feel the acupressure points beneath my feet and I also see
why you should wear them starting 15 minutes a day I don't think I could wear
this a whole day and I'm glad they recommend not to I am sure whatever
however you put long you decide to put these on before you are going to get
relief I just taking it off like already a lot better also I don't know if I did
show you this or not but um the top is adjustable right here so depending on
your foot size you can change that well yeah overall like they're comfortable
but you know comfortable in a sort of healing way definitely not going to want
to wear this the entire day good foot therapy definitely something you should
consider purchasing if you are in that area of pain where you are walking all
day right maybe you're a runner you are on your feet a lot maybe fast-food or
any type of blue-collar job this would be great for when you come home
decompress yeah it does come with an extra set of
little acupressure points just in case you break one or something happens there
is an extra for you to change out if you need to
that's a good thing to have as well alright so that is a look at the foot
massage reflexology sandals by BYRIVER please check the description

How To Guarantee Success In Show Business - Dr. Ken Atchity - Duration: 12:50.
Film Courage: Yet another book of your's is Sell Your Story to Hollywood - The Writer's Pocket
Guide to The Business of Show Business. I know there's lots of great nuggets in
there something I saw from the Amazon page there are four things in order that
I'm about to read that will guarantee success I think and this is in the
foreword or something perseverance and this is in this order or determination
or stamina connection be fun to work with
and lastly talent? Really that's the order? Dr. Ken Atchity, Producer/Author: Yeah that's definitely the order I
mean actually I mean I've in my mind I've added another one before Talent
which is luck okay luck is definitely important but yeah you can think about
it some movies get made just because of perseverance somebody keeps persevering
and though they can get the movie made and somebody can make a movie because
they have connections you know Sophia Coppola you know she got to make a movie
she's got incredible connections and many other people in Hollywood and being
fun to work with that happens all the time movies get
made because of that but I've never really seen a movie get made just
because of talent so of all these things the three the that I started with like
perseverance etc being fun to work with these are sufficient causes of movies in
other words all you need is one of those and you're able to make a movie but
talent is not sufficient you have to have talent plus one of those other
things to make a movie and there's plenty of talent around the good news I
mean that so that's the bad news talent is not enough to make a movie but the
good news is that if you have talent it's what L everybody's looking for in
Hollywood looking for somebody who's truly tality because they don't want
movies that are just made with perseverance or being fun to work with
or having connections they want truly good movies so if you've got talent
that's great but you need to get those other things you need to persevere it's
not a you know a career for the faint-hearted you know if you say I'm
going to give myself five years and then I'm gonna go
- my horse ranch in Utah you'll be back there before you know it because life
loves little deals like that and it always gets you back to the horse ranch
if you say that it'll be no limit on my career I'm going to continue no matter
what then you've got a chance to do it and maybe you'll get lucky along the way
but I always say build the tracks for success don't build them based on luck
so yeah that's luck is an important part of it because sometimes you can have
everything ready to go and somebody comes out with a similar movie and you
can't do it going back to the school thought of two types of people
unproductive negative versus positive what about unhonest talent versus
harness talent and I'm making my little genre here but people that there's so
much talent here but there's a lot of people that don't harness it and they
spend their reels talking about these ideas how does someone go into the
harnessed category well it going to hardest category just means discipline
to sit down and actually figure out time and use the time and just you know
determined to do it you have to be determined you have to persevere there
are a lot of people that have what I call artistic syndrome who would like to
be creative who say they're creative who shy whose show some signs of creativity
but creativity is actually having finished a script you know having
finished a novel and continuing to write another one while you're waiting for the
reaction on the first one creativity is like I can't stop writing this I keep
getting stories and I keep can't wait to get to the next one so you don't really
wait at all when you send it out you you just now I can do the next one you keep
writing and that's somebody who's harnessing their talent unhonest means
when you've booby-trapped your talent by either not sitting down being a fear of
failure or whatever your reasons are procrastination
you know Tony Robbins always says the best way to deal with procrastination
correct procrastination is to just postpone it oh yeah no you can do
that later but right now get to work so harness talent is all a matter of
discipline and determination you know starts with determination turns it into
discipline discipline turns into work work is based on time allotted to it as
the ancient philosopher he's the odd said if you put a little upon a little
soon it will become a lot that's it you do five pages a day that's 60 pages you
know after 12 days right so it's it's just inevitable it's the law of
accumulating capital and if people aren't doing that then they're they're
completely out hardest and the only person who can really harness the writer
is himself so you can't nobody can harness for you you can get a manager to
help you with that you can get a disciplinarian to help you with it but
at the end of the day there are more ways to evade discipline than there are
to impose it that's the genius of humanity right lastly you said something
about being called back to the horse ranch giving yourself five years someone
just commented on our channel the other day and they had a very valid point
about give yourself three years they were referring to acting and I agreed
with a lot of their their statements but they said they gave up this acting
pursuit and they should have done it sooner and now they have a corporate job
and things are much better for them should someone really put this like I
mean my argument was well what if they know they're never gonna be sort of this
corporate type I mean it takes a certain type to sit behind a desk or attend
meetings and pretend like you really want to be there some people aren't cut
out for that and what if you know that about yourself should you really give
yourself this time limit what if you know that you're not cut out for the
corporate world yeah their point was give yourself three years max to come to
LA whatever become an actor you could insert writing that's that's like saying
give yourself a year to go to Europe and get your Wild Oats out of your system
before you settle down and get engaged or something you know if
that's the way you're looking at it then it will just be a three year lark you
know it's not a career commitment you know there's a great great moment in a
movie called burlesque I don't know if you saw that movie but it's Christina
Aguilera isn't it and then one of the opening scenes in her little town she
goes to the bus station and she stands in front of the ticket
window and she says I mean I want to take it to a light and he looks at her
and goes one-way or roundtrip and she goes you gotta be fuckin kidding me
and as it's it's line in the movie that defines career commitment you know she's
not going to go to LA and come back she's going to a light period that's the
end of the story and that's why movies like that in la-la land you know put
artists in tears because they're true true examples of true stories about what
artists go through when they make decisions to give up things and you know
I used to give a class and that you see like all keeping your spirits up for
creative people and one day I was going around the circle the first day of class
and having people introduce themselves they were mostly actors and actresses
who signed up for it for obvious reasons and the first one I
said please give us your name so we'll remember your name and where you're from
or you know give us your name and where you're from and what is the tell us what
is the question that you hate to hear most you know at a party in LA and so
first woman says my name is Carol and I'm from Detroit and the question I hate
to hear the most is when are you gonna go back to Detroit and work for the post
office and I said and how do you react to that she goes usually by bursting
into tears and running out of the room I go oh okay so we're gonna work on that
in this class so I asked for next class next person my name is Ellis I'm from
Southern California and the question I hate to hear the most at parties is what
have you been in big lately that I've seen
and I said it'd have a director that she goes I say the Pacific Ocean so there's
an example of a harness person and a nun harness verse right the hardest person
knows that she's gonna get stupid questions from stupid people insensitive
people weren't really thinking and that there's nothing in the world that's
gonna stop that from happening so she's gonna protect yourself by coming up with
an answer beforehand so she doesn't have to run
out of the room and cry and the other person is unhonest cuz she goes out of
the room in Christ she's the one that believes this artistry thing is some
magic you know miracle that has to happen and she doesn't understand it's
mechanical you know first thing you have to do is protect your biggest asset
which is your brain and if you haven't figured out how to do that then don't go
out in public yet because people are not gonna stop start suddenly being
sensitive the moment you appear in public they've never shown any sign of
it in the human history right I always loved this book I read ago years ago as
a graduate student call it began in Babel the history of the world you know
told with uh since of humor and m'p and half of the book at the beginning is
when you really think about it people on the whole are extremely stupid and it's
a carving on the walls of Nineveh 3200 BC and it's kind of comforting to read
that because you go well nothing's changed
you know we're still there we're still stupid and you know that's part of the
human comedy but don't be stupid if it's your you know your whole career at stake
you're the one has to build the you know use the tools to build a defense around
yourself so you can continue your career and people are not going to help you
until they see that you've got that figured out then they'll help you and
it's just the way they are that goes back to what you said about the sort of
crackpot neighbor in the garage making these paintings and then everyone thinks
they're crazy until they sell one for a million or two and then all of a sudden
everyone wants to know them so yeah everyone thinks you're a genius and
and and predicts and said I always knew you would do well like my father told me
I was an idiot when I became a professor like he didn't understand how I was
gonna make a living because I didn't sign up for pre-med I signed up for
classics in college and 19 years later when I told him I was leaving being a
professor for you know being a producer he told me how it's crazy that how was I
going to make a living and in four weeks later he was on the set of one of my
movies and said this is great keep doing this thing host so if you put a lot of
truck on what other people think you'll be a mess all your life and one of the
things I really hate to see is someone who is all about just pleasing people
and will say whatever they need to say to please the people in front of them
and then you know you realize they don't have a mind of their own and that's
that's too bad too bad to lose your life too to spend your life without a mind of
your own it's a terrible a mind is a terrible
thing to lose as they say and the writer is somebody I think who's exploited
their mind to the to the max and and take it you know followed its lead into
places that it would never have imagined they would go and I think that's heroic
you know heroic way of life and and the world needs more
storytellers

The UX of Gift-Giving - Duration: 10:09.
Years before the American President Richard Nixon stretched out his arms to form his famous
V-sign, he was wrapping them around a pair of Chinese giant pandas named Ling-Ling and
Hsing-Hsing.
The two bears likely did not realize they were a part of a much larger embrace between
two distant countries, brought together by international diplomacy and the power of reciprocation:
a concept that spans borders, as well as every facet of user experience design.
In 1972, Nixon visited China in an effort to normalize relations.
He and First Lady Pat Nixon, along with their diplomatic entourages, visited the Great Wall
of China and major cities along the Yangtze River Delta.
The pandas were a gift from then-leader of China, Mao Zedong.
Ling-Ling and Hsing-Hsing were captured a few months prior in the far-off, temperate,
central county of Baoxing, an area similar to the cool, misty forests of West Virginia,
excepting the expansive fields of bamboo and the occasional black and white patched bear.
As soon as the two pandas arrived at the Smithsonian's National Zoo in mid- April 1972, they grabbed
the hearts of the American public.
Over 75,000 people visited the zoo the following weekend.
Seen as a goodwill gesture by the Chinese government, the gift of the pandas was an
overture harkening back through a thousand years of Chinese diplomatic history.
The Chinese Empress Wu Zetian was said to have given pandas as a gift to the Japanese
Emperor Tenmu in the 7th century.
Chinese diplomats revived this tradition in the 1950s and it continues today, primarily
under loan agreements to national zoos and preservation programs.
Although historians refer to Nixon's trip and its gift as "panda diplomacy," it
could just as easily have been referred to as "musk ox diplomacy," for the gift of
the pandas was reciprocated by an equally furry gift to the Chinese.
Nixon gave them Milton and Matilda, a pair of baby musk oxen.
(Side note: you haven't seen adorable until you see musk oxen calves.)
However, their trip was ill fated.
Chinese zookeepers reported the oxen arriving with runny noses, skin infections, and suffering
from depression.
After days in their new home, the musk oxen's distinctive shaggy fur began to fall out—the
poor, little things.
Depressed, runny-nosed, and now balding, sweet Milton and Matilda did not take up residence
in the hearts of the Chinese public as much as their ursine peers had in America.
Yet, this exchange shows us that even small gifts may create great opportunities that
may last for decades, establishing relationships, reshaping economies, and setting in motion
countless other experiences.
Two decades before Nixon's trip to China, a landmark French book had reached the shores
of America.
The Gift was written by the French sociologist Marcel Mauss.
First translated into English in 1954, the book still stands as perhaps the most definitive
explanation of our need to reciprocate.
Mauss studied native societies.
Although much of his work revolved around gift giving, his discoveries would eventually
shed light on everything from marketing to software design.
For his observations show us that gift giving creates bonds between givers and receivers.
A gift creates an implicit obligation for the recipient to reciprocate.
We give.
We receive.
We give back.
Like intertwined threads, reciprocations weave into the fabric of an experience, strengthening
and forming connections between givers and receivers, and by extension, between designers
and users.
Marshall Sahlins' book, Stone Age Economics, further expounded Mauss' notion of reciprocation
by segmenting it into three types: generalized, balanced, and negative.
Generalized reciprocation is the most common: we give a gift and do not expect an immediate
return.
You might help a coworker with a project, shovel snow off your neighbor's driveway,
or cook a meal for your spouse.
Such gifts are freely given.
We do not issue paper receipts expecting immediate repayment.
It would be detrimental to our relationships if we did.
"Dear spouse, I hope you enjoyed dinner.
You now owe me one meal."
Try it.
You will soon realize this is a thread on which you do not wish to pull.
As working professionals, we can appreciate balanced reciprocation: we exchange our efforts
for money.
Tit for tat.
Our employers or clients reciprocate the gift of our labors with the gift of a paycheck.
Negative reciprocation is expecting a gift without the intention of providing one in
return.
It is the equivalent of participating in your office's holiday giftexchange but arriving
empty-handed.
"Happy holidays, I brought you nothing.
Now, let's see what you have got for me."
We will talk about how software often says the same in a few moments.
Generalized, balanced, and negative reciprocation may initially seem to operate only at a person-to-person
level.
However, they are a part of any interaction, including those between people and software.
Mauss referred to the inherent quality of reciprocity in gift exchange as "total prestation."
Granted, total prestation is not a term that easily slides off the tongue; yet, the term
does speak to a gift being something greater than merely an object being given.
We feel total prestation when we give and receive a gift.
But what is it?
During Mauss' research, he encountered the gift-giving customs of the Māori people.
Hau, the spirit of the gift, graced the both the giver and receiver.
But, left unreciprocated, the hau would haunt the receiver like an evil spirit.
It compelled the receiver to reciprocate.
Although we may not feel haunted by the gifts we receive, we do feel obliged to reciprocate,
be it person-to-person or person-to-software.
Something is given, and we are compelled to return the favor.
The gift exchange
When we design software, we create bonds between our users and ourselves.
A user gives us the gift of their time and attention; we repay them with the gift of
a good user experience.
We give.
They give back.
Everyone reciprocates.
These experiences contain generalized, balanced, and even negative reciprocations.
Some user experiences are generalized.
As creators, we don't expect an immediate repayment by users.
We lay the groundwork for future reciprocation, wishing to be repaid with more of the user's
time and attention.
Other experiences are balanced.
We give a user information or utility in direct exchange for performing a desired behavior,
such as purchasing, sharing, or carrying out any number of other actions.
All too often, companies make the mistake of designing experiences with only negative
reciprocations.
Forced email sign-ups, unnecessary form fields, and takeover advertising are just a few of
the ways companies extract a user's time and attention without reciprocating.
Such experiences frustrate users.
Time and attention are gifts that users may give us, but they should do only through a
clear and balanced exchange.
Negative reciprocation is a one-way street, paved with selfish intentions and littered
with the wreckage of poorly designed user experiences.
Effective user experiences are comprised of both general and balanced exchanges.
Consider the example of a free trial.
If we follow the strict definition of reciprocation, we might believe our free trial is a balanced
exchange between our application and the user: "Hello, user, here is a free trial.
Now that you feel obliged, please buy our software."
Tit for tat.
But if we delve further into the concept of free trials, we soon realize this is a generalized
reciprocation.
A free trial establishes a possible future opportunity, but it takes time to mature.
By providing an incentive, users may reciprocate more quickly.
You see this pattern play out frequently within consumer packaged goods promotions.
A customer receives a free sample—say, for example, a tiny bottle of shampoo (a generalized
reciprocation).
The free sample contains a coupon (an incentive).
The customer uses the coupon to buy a discounted, larger bottle of shampoo (a balanced reciprocation).
We can use a similar tactic to expedite a software purchase.
A user receives a free 30-day software trial (a generalized reciprocation).
The software could offer a discount to purchase a one-year software subscription (an incentive).
The user then buys the discounted subscription (a balanced reciprocation).
We can use a similar tactic to expedite a software purchase.
A user receives a free 30-day software trial (a generalized reciprocation).
The software could offer a discount to purchase a one-year software subscription (an incentive).
The user then buys the discounted subscription (a balanced reciprocation).
Exchanges are often far subtler than a purchase.
Enticing users to perform other behaviors follows the same forms of reciprocation.
We lay the groundwork by providing engaging content and helpful functionality.
For example, a calendar app may notify a user about upcoming events, seeming to only benefit
the user.
However, a user may choose to view details about the event, thereby directing his or
her attention to a screen that also displays advertising.
A video game may incentivize a player to "level-up" by providing the player with more powerful
character traits, which in turn provides a reason to maintain a monthly subscription.
Though subtle, each of these experiences is an exchange of gifts between the designer
and the user.
The exchange of gifts between designers and users range from the exotic to the mundane.
Like pandas plucked from a Chinese forest and deposited in front of curious onlookers,
beautiful design and cutting-edge technology may fascinate and mesmerize users.
We celebrate and reward such innovation.
Yet, even the most unglamorous experiences can still reciprocate.
The "Miltons and Matildas" of experiences repay the users' gifts of time and attention
by providing unobstructed interfaces, clear communication, and a concern for the user's
wellbeing.
Such experiences serve as the basis for ongoing interaction.
Thus, we can understand reciprocation in UX to be less a matter of wowing users and more
a means of creating a relationship with them.
We give.
They give back.
The distance between designers and users shortens.
That is the real gift.
That was a chapter from my new book "UX Fundamentals for Non-UX Professionals, User Experience
Principles for Managers, Writers, Designers, and Developers.
That's quite a long title, isn't it?
I've recently published it through Apress (Springer Nature), and you can find it on
Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Apress.com.
I'd love to hear any thoughts or comments you have.
And I'd certainly appreciate any likes or shares.
It helps the book find new audiences, such as friends
and co-workers who might want to learn something about user experience.
Thank you for listening.

Photoshop: Portrait Pro 18 Skin Smoothing Feature Overview - s1e249 - Duration: 13:14.
Hi, I'm Bill Snodgrass. Welcome to this episode, this tutorial on Portrait Pro 18…
Portrait Pro 18… We're gonna look in this episode… we're gonna look at the skin… the
skin feature. The things that you can do to to work on and improve skin. This is
one of the… this is one of the photo editing things that I I endorse fully 100%
because people want to remember sort of the idealized version of themselves; not
the version that has blemishes and… and that sort of thing. That said you gotta
be conscientious as the person becomes older such as me. If you take all my
wrinkles away it's gonna look like some I photoshopped that picture which is
what would have happened to get rid of all the wrinkles but if you rid of some
of the wrinkles and some of the spots you know there's so many it's just gonna
improve my vision of myself so balance there's always balance in this editing
process alright the picture that I've started with I kind of foresee this
going to Instagram so I've already cropped it into a square using Photoshop
and I'm gonna launch the plugin I'm going to the filters I'm going I'm going
to the filters down to anthropic spore trip low and portrait Pro anthropic is
the company that makes the portrait Pro plugin
I'll put a link to their website down in the description the first thing portrait
pro is going to do is try to identify faces in the picture it is also going to
try to outline the features of the face and and put them in control points
around various parts this picture is going to be a little more challenging
for two reasons one is the the profile aspect it's it's like a 45 degree plus
the model is wearing glasses all right when it's found the person it wants me
to identify male or female this picture came from a photo shoot session that my
photography club did a couple of weeks ago and the
photographer's enlisted this guy to come and model for them and this is what they
this is one of the many many many many pictures that came up with all right it
is loaded it is load of the picture and put some control points in remember you
can zoom in by scrolling using the mouse wheel the scroll wheel on this side and
then you can move the control points around if you want to drag the picture
you drag on this side if you click on this side your moving control points as
almost always I feel like I need to adjust where the eyebrows are looks like
it has nailed the eyes on this one all right once we have the control points
set once we have them where where we feel like they're in the best place
we're ready to begin applying the different edits to the picture I'm going
to turn off everything except skin smoothing this the one we're gonna look
at in this in this tutorial one of them first of all begin with the touch-up
brush the touch-up brush this is you can think of if you're familiar with
Photoshop you can think of The Healing Brush it's going to give you a brush and
you can change the size and the strength of the effect so if you want to just go
in and spot remove a few of the major
blemish areas this would be the thing to do
grab this brush and I always advocate kind of starting in the middle with the
tools the middle settings in this case they've defaulted it to 59 and a brush
size of 14 changing the brush size is one of those things that makes sense to
do once you're done with the tool and you can also paint with it you can paint
areas then you can click it off and now the hand comes back and you can pray so
a first place to begin is with the touch-up tool now we'll go into the the
skin smoothing tool set that that was the brush go ahead and open a couple
these up and look at them sharpening and I'm gonna sharpen this just a little bit
I feel like the photographer may have soft focus this one a little too much if
they if they were trying to do that they may have just been misusing the camera
trim eyebrows is a setting and then texture is also a setting that's gonna
do skin texturing I'm gonna go first up to around the eyes not gonna do a whole
lot around the eyes because he is wearing glasses
but the leiden eye bags all of these will split out left and right the eye
bags this is gonna be the area underneath the eye and you can do a
couple of things to them one is you can lighten the color a lot of people will
have dark patches of screen skin underneath their eyes and then crow's
feet are gonna be the corners of the eyes not a lot in this picture showing
but you can smooth out the lines that are on the corners of the eyes
lighten i bags if you don't differentiate the the slider will work
the others as a group and you and begin to see on the the image on on
this side you can begin to see in this area right here the effect of light eye
bags and young man hasn't hasn't a lot of eyebags to lighten smoothing them
also an area of wrinkles and we'll take that out just so we can see this is
operating them on the skin a little further up and it's trying to smooth
these things out crow's feet not really even showing in this picture because of
the hair and the angle the face but that would do the same thing to the lines
they're all right around the eyes imperfections this is skin in general
imperfection so this is going to be looking for blemishes and things like
that and it will work on those in order to to clean things up and it's gonna
work in sort of a general overall thing the more specific pimples you may have
to go in and deal with them with the brush when you deal with the pimples
using the brush it's going to affect hairs and things like that pores this is
just generally going to smoothen out the skin find shadows again this is is
taking away some of the contrast in the face in order to smooth and give a
smoother appearance thin wrinkles this is something someone a little older may
benefit from a touch on the thin wrinkles that will not completely remove
them but it will make them smaller and less prominent and going back to the
touch-up brush bouncing back and forth between the two things
trimming eyebrows is going to take pieces of the eyebrows outside the
control point lines and and sort of blend those into the
skin left right around the mouth these would be wrinkles around the mouth the
corners and if you want to apply the features of this to neck and arms and
other things that are expose that would be here if you want to see where it is
being treated if you want to see the area that has been identified as skin
you can click the view edit skin mask and it's going to show you all of the
areas that it thinks are skin and if you want to add to that you can use the
brush to add skin
so if I wanted to identify this part these parts of his body know the way
it's going to do is it is going to within the outer circle apply anything
it finds that matches the inner circle and so it has the detector size is the
inner circle and the brush size is the outer circle so it is detecting anything
that is inside that inner circle and it is applying that to the outer circle
this will allow you to be able to go around the fingers and apply the skin
mask to all of the skin very easily the more detailed you want to be obviously
the smaller brush you're going to use and that detector brush if the applicant
if the applier brush goes beyond the skin but the color is different it won't
apply it now it picked up a little something there that was not skin or
maybe this is just the side of his finger I think it's asados finger so now
I have added skin into the mask okay button to apply that back to the face
view the skin edit masking area and it is it is nailed it here it is very
little that is not skin it is very little that is skin is miss it
differentiates between your eyes and lips and then there's a refine edges
button which will allow to go in and reapply the logic to get
finish so the last of the of the features is the textures and using the
texture we can change the way the skin looks and applied different textures
also we have the spot removal so this is also all part of the the texture family
of buttons how much do you want the texture to show up how little texture do
you want the skin to have all of these things and then what type of the texture
do you want it to use they're very very subtle so the skin texture types are
very subtle the differences between the different types and it's adding that
artificial texture smooth with fine hairs which would be sort of more of a
natural normal skin texture spot removal this will go in and clear up different
imperfections in the skin color that is the skin tool in a nutshell the getting
the skin mask set is a probably the most tedious part and then it is just
adjusting things to taste until you get it to what you want using the touch-up
tool to deal with imperfections and then and then moving things around and
getting the picture to represent what you want it to represent so that gives
you a pretty good picture of what you can do with the skin edit tool very very
easy to use very clear what each of the different settings does
makes taking the picture from okay - pretty awesome
very simple combined with the other tools in in the suite of tools you can
do a very good edit very quickly and get really really really good results
hopefully this was helpful hopefully you enjoyed seen how this works please click

Funny Yoga Challenge (Try Not to Laugh) | Deaf and Hearing Couple - Duration: 16:25.
(laughing)
Z: What was that?
C: I wanted you off! haha
Z: How was I supposed to know??
C: You're legs are too long!
Z: I thought you were going to do a push up?
HELLO!
Welcome back to our vlog!
We've watched some YouTube videos and found one
video of a couple doing a Yoga Challenge, it was funny!
We couldn't help but laugh!
So we decided to make one!
We will see how it goes.
Do you think we will be good or bad at it?
It depends on the pose.
That's true.
Just so you know, my legs are not flexible.
They just stay bent they won't straighten out.
If you can't do it, then stretch and you can get it.
She's much for flexible than me. C: That's true.
I have my limits.
Not to mention, other couples can speak to each other when getting into the pose.
It will be interesting to see how we communicate.
Remember I depend on eye contact.
But sometimes we can't see each other.
You'll have to tap me on the shoulder or communicate before the pose.
We will see....
It needs to be the the hand and leg on the same side.
Z: Move back.
I feel like you kept trying to reach out too much.
I felt like I needed to.
It made it easier to stretch out.
It was funny to see you stretch out.
Which way should I face?
Right there.
C: It doesn't matter
Your arm needs to come back this way.
Z: What??? hahah
Z: Don't break my back.
C: Try again!
C: That one felt awkward.
It was a weird pose.
Good thing you're not to heavy.
You told me I was heavy during the pose.
And you continued to move side to side.
How am I supposed to balance if you're moving?
I had to move my head to see what you were saying.
I can't hear you. lol
That's a Deaf and hearing couple thing.
Z: I need eye contact to communicate.
C: Come closer.
C: Lets first stand back to back with our legs touching.
C: Good enough.
Z: It's awkward because I am tall and you're short.
C: Yeah it was weird.
And it was hard because you couldn't touch the floor.
Right, my legs are too long remember...
It's not about your legs being too long.
Many people your height can do it.
My torso and arms are shorter than my legs.
My legs are just so long!
It's because you don't stretch. Your body isn't used to it.
Whatever.
If you stretched everyday for one year, then you could do it at the end of the year.
Eh.
Z: I wanted to do push ups! haha
C: Okay, try.
C: Wait, I want to try push ups now.
C: I was trying to say get off. haha
Z: Well, how was I supposed to know. haha
C: You're legs are too long. lol
Z: I thought you were going to do a push up.
I was suprised I could do push ups.
I am no suprised, you're strong.
I tried but it was too hard.
Oh well!
My arms are too weak now.
Z: No, you're strong.
My arms used to be strong but now, they are just flab.
Haha just kidding.
C: So you have to put your legs over your head.
C: Make sure to keep your legs straight.
Z: Ok, I'll try...
Z: Hold my hands.
Straight legs! haha
(laughing)
C: Switch. haha
C: can you look at the picture.
Z: Where is your phone?
C: On the couch.
Z: Okay, I'm ready.
Z: We did good on that one.
No, haha I disagree!
That one was tough.
I felt we copied it fine.
Yeah, if my legs went back, and you came forward, then sure. haha
But if I leaned forward and your legs went back then we couldn't do it.
Again, I think it's because I am more flexible than you.
Well, good for you. haha
C: Try again, I think I can do it.
C: I don't want to hurt myself.
That one wasn't so great.
She kept telling my legs to come in further.
C: That's how you're supposed to do it.
I think its called the crow pose.
That's if bring my legs up and rest them on my arms.
I can do it. Just not on you. haha
Watch, I'll show you.
See, I can do it on the floor.
However, it's hard to do it on you.
It's hard to balance and my hands felt awkward.
And your pants kept falling down.
That's cause you were walking up my legs. haha
Thats why my pants would fall down.
C: You need to walk your feet in more.
(me trying to tell zach to walk forward)
(zach telling me he doesn't understand me)
C: You need to walk your feet in.
Try again.
Z: What do you think about that one?
C: Not bad.
I feel like...
Well first...
again you tried...
You typically....
hahah You need to bring your legs closer in.
Your hands and feet are so far apart.
C: Why are you leaning to the side? haha
Z: Its hard to balance. lol
C: Focus. Breathe.
C: Straighten your legs. haha
C: Was I supposed to put my arms out?
Z: I don't remember.
C: Lets try.
C: Wait.
That was fun.
We used to try and have her go into another pose.
I would bend my legs then she would sit up.
Like a chair.
We haven't practice in a long time so its hard now.
After doing all the poses I feel all the blood rushing to me head.
I feel like my brain is pulsing.
It gave me a little head ache.
I used to be in gymnastics
So I thought I'd be great at this.
Well we are out of shape...
Its interesting because we just did a Spartan Race,
and we did a good job!
We finished all the obstacles.
We got lucky.
Not thats not luck, we are strong.
We just aren't "Yoga strong"

Z: Shhh, I am going to push her.
This is serious. Serious business! haha
I am watching you!
Lets see who can hold it the longest.
10!
My turn!
C: Don't forget to count.
C: Do you want to sit there?
Z: I like it here so I can see you and the camera.
7!
C: Wait no, again! haha

This is Alabama: The Unified Championship Game - Duration: 3:16.
Goes on three!
One, two, three. Rebels!
I played like, football at my house ever since I was like little.
So I was just like, I always liked football.
My name is Davis Spain and I play football at Vestavia Hills High School.
And I am a rusher!
I get everybody together
between our special needs students and our typical students.
That are called "partners."
This is their most favorite time of the year.
With Christmas and the Unified Flag Football Game they get to go play.
And at either Bryant Denny or Jordan Hare.
I mean its, its awesome.
I love it because I'm with my friends and my family.
And I want to make proud of them.
And I want to be the next
Alabama football player.
This has been going on for four or five years now.
The Alabama High School Athletic Association took this on in connection with
the special olympics of Alabama.
I play Quarterback.
The reason why I enjoy it is because
it can be tiring at some point but like its fun.
It's been the best football season
of all time and it is awesome!
Football has been like a family thing
like for me.
My last year and I'm gonna miss my coach very much
and that's it.
I just think it's an outstanding program because
these kids get the same high school experience as everybody else
Go Rebels!

Why Everyone Hates David Dobrik - Duration: 7:58.
so david dobrik over here thinks he's the king the only thing this dude is the
king of is clickbait and we're tired of it what is up everybody this is Chris
from the rewired soul where we talk about the problem but focus on the
solution and if you're new to my channel my channel is all about mental health
and what I like to do is pull different topics from the YouTube community to try
to teach you how to improve your mental and emotional well-being so the end of
that make sure you subscribe and bring that notification bell so in this video
if you're new here you're gonna meet a guy named tough love Chris I'm about to
drop some tough love on you in this video but speaking of speaking of tough
love my beautiful girlfriend just designed some new merch I'm just up in
the shop right now boom look at that it is available in hoodies and shirts tough
love right there for you there's a bunch of different colors go check it out and
right now use the coupon code solution to get 10% off all right and now you're
probably like oh my god he just used that tough love line just to promote
some of his new merch you're damn right I did
I have a kid to feed you see that kid right there it costs money to feed that
kid I also have a cat to feed do you see this beautiful little cat named Maya it
cost money to feed this little kitty but anyways make sure you stay tuned till
the end of the video because I got some more exciting news for you
yeah why does everybody hate david dobrik
that is an interesting question so David dobrik and the vlog squad for those of you who don't know he
has a much line called click bait click bait is something that is just
fascinating to me and ever since I became a youtuber it is just one of the
most interesting topics so today we're not actually talking about david dobrik
we are talking about the beautiful topic of click bait so I wanted to do this
video because I love a video right now about elevation blowing up like it's
gotten like over a hundred thousand views in the last day right and it's
titled the truth about illymation and her abusive ex boyfriend and there are so many comments just so many
comments talking about the clickbait of it right so as you can see as you can
see there's so many people there's so many people we're talking about
what the title imply like what the title implied like and what was fascinating to
me and why I'm so interested in mental health and psychology is just the way
our mind works so just to let you know like what my
thought process was when I made this video and I made this title I was
thinking of all the people who were asking these questions like why didn't
he do this why didn't he do that why didn't she do this so I wanted to bring
in psychology and discuss learned helplessness and explain why victims
don't do certain things so that was my thought process that was my intention
but you see so many people you see so many people who thought that my intent
was to expose illymations and that is absolutely hilarious to me so think
about it for a second think about it for a second like this was totally
unintentional I so the people who think that illy was lying about this whole
thing they're clicking on the video thinking that is going to expose her for
something then I've gotten a ton of other comments like these ones on the
screen where a ton of people were jumping to my video trying to defend her
they were expecting me to talk crap right I was actually just talking to
iliyan dear who's telling her that she has an amazing fan base because so many
people clicked on the video waiting to ready to defend her right so like one of
the justifications that people have in so many people like you should really
change the title Yussef really changed the title and I'm
like why why should I change the title and some people have replied and said
because the way is titled makes people assume that this is going to be an
exposed video I'm like huh that's fascinating to me so since you expect
videos on YouTube to be exposed videos I should change my title you are out of
your mind you gotta understand everybody's mental filter is different
when you seem different words like I just told you what my intention was and
my thought process was behind that title if you are taking a title in a different
way that is on you not on me and this is extremely important like why am I
talking about this why talking about this at all because I talk
to all of you so often about how you need to quit caring so much what people
think like I have come to a place where I accept I accept the fact that
different people are going to take things different way one of the comments
actually said like you should change this title because some people might
just go by see this title think you're talking back and not actually watch the
video and I'm like okay and how is that my problem like this sounds like pretty
like terrible yeah that even terrible it just sounds like I'm coming off as a
jerk but like that's just the way it is like in order for me to keep this thing
saying I need to realize that I cannot appease everybody so this actually
happened on another video I did a few weeks ago and it was called why I hate
spill that video has like 20 or 30,000 views something like that and so many
people so many people are saying the same thing about the Clickbank title
because the video was actually about jealousy and they clicked on it
expecting for me to talk a bunch of trash about spill but I was really
talking about my own jealousy think about that like whenever I go to the
grocery store and I walk past you know the checkout line and there's all those
like magazines with all the gossip and all that stuff I always think I'm like
who the heck buys these things but you guys like I watch you guys's behavior
all the time and people love the drama people want the drama people people want
something to defend people want something to argue over people want to
expose certain things like that is fascinating
so inadvertently a lot of you are getting manipulated because you're
getting played by your own emotion so what's the moral of the story the moral
of this video is that we are people who are constantly getting played left and
right by our emotions you see it on Twitter all the time you see all this
reactionary behavior because people are totally going off of their emotions and
I am here to help you not go so much off of your emotions but to calm down be
mindful and make logical decisions so you can respond rather than react
because I will always say this until the day I die it is a lot easier for you to
fake to you it is to try to fix the rest of
the world so if you think that every youtuber on the platform is gonna change
their titles because you look at the word truth in one way when it wasn't
intended in another way and you don't click on the wit video that is a little
bit ridiculous alright so remember it is a lot easier for you to fix you that it
is to think that you're gonna fix the rest of the world and that is actually
one of the chapters in my brand new book boom rewire your anger so the
announcement that I was waiting for it until the end of this video I got a
little excited about this new merch design so check this out
up until December 25th up until Christmas anybody bought who buys a
t-shirt or sweater from the rewired soul merch stop you will get a free copy of
this beautiful book rewire your anger so the information for how to get your free
copy will be down in the description so if you pick up a sweater or a shirt boom
get yourself a free copy of the book alright but anyways that's all I got for
you with this video if you like this video please give it a thumbs up if
you're angry at me for the clickbait the unintended click made give it a thumbs
down but anyways a huge thank you to everybody support the channel over on
patreon you are all amazing and if you want to see some more of my content make
sure you subscribe and ring that notification bell and if you're looking
for the merch shop you can click or tap right there get yourself some sweet
mental health merch alright thanks again for watching I'll see you next time
