How To Stop Car Windows From Steaming Up - Duration: 11:06.

Hi and welcome to Detailing World, in today's video we're gonna be looking at four or

five household hacks to prevent your car's from steaming and misting up.

So yeah, it's that time of year again where every morning it's freezing cold and as soon

as you step in your car the windows steam up, they mist up, fog up,

whatever you want to call it. So yeah in today's video we are going to

be looking at several household products mainly bathroom products on how to

prevent your windows from fogging up or steaming up.

Some of the products we'll be looking at today include

shaving foam, toothpaste, hand gel and soap and then

we've also got a dedicated Anti Fog product and we're also going to try

car wax as well see if that works.

First of all apologies for the light, it's

quite early and the sun's low still. But yeah, I've separated this window into

seven sections so we're going to have the bottom left as a control area that's

not going to have anything on it then we're going to test the products on all

these other sections so yeah so we'll let steam up the windows first and just

show that they all do fog up as expected.

So as you can see that's fogged

up and steamed off as well as we expected. We're going to start off first

of all with Rain-X's dedicated anti fog product, it's about five pounds or

that's what it's cost me today with a pound off.

Right so as I say we're gonna start off with Rain-X anti fog

and just follow the instructions for this so

apply to a dry cloth and wipe lightly across the interior glass surface

allow to dry and reapply for better results so yeah we'll just get this and

a bit of blue towel I'll apply that to that square just up there

So we'll just leave that a minute to haze up and do whatever it does, just give

that a minute and we'll just wipe that off we another clean piece of blue towel

So there we go, that's now buffed to a nice streak free finish. The next product

we're gonna try it is a bit of shaving gel and we'll just put a tiny bit of

this on the window we'll just squirt that straight on.

A little goes a long way with this stuff.

Again, a clean piece of blue roll.

We'll just rub that on.

Fresh

This is where now if my neighbors do happen to walk by or come out they will think I've literally lost it.

I think our missus thought I'd lost it the otherday when I mentioned I was doing this video

I put shaving gel on my windows what on earth am i doing? Just leave that another minute.

So yeah, that's had a couple of minutes now we'll quickly just buff this off.

which is easier said than done.

so yeah that took a bit of getting off.

We'll see how it works. The next one is going to be tooth paste and again this one comes

from the bathroom similar to the shaving gel, the idea is you put some on

your bathroom mirror to stop it steaming up and apparently it works so we'll see if

it really does work and give it a try.

Again smear a bit of that on.

Nuts!

I have literally lost it! A bit of blue roll again and...

Minty fresh!

I'll tell you something, if this doesn't work at least it smells fresh

right so that's had a couple of minutes as well so we'll now try and buff this off.

So that's toothpaste done. Nuts! Nuts! Next to try is some hand gel this

is an alcohol based hand gel and I think the thinking here is maybe alcohol will repel water

Who knows let's say I'll just apply this by hand.

Right, so that's the hand gel, let's just quickly buff that one off.

And the last household product we're going to use is some regular soap so

we're just going to try that here.

And this is just weird

Why would you rub just a bar of soap on your window?

So there we go we've got a bar soap on the window.

Nuts! So let's try and get that off.

This will be fun!

So that is a bar soap or soap bar. Whatever. That's that removed and one

other one I'm going to throw into the mix here is a carnauba based car wax.

It's not a household product but it is something some of you may have lying

around, I know a lot of the Detailers out there will. But if you're not a

detailer and just wanting household hacks you may or you may not have this.

yeah we'll give this a try as well and we'll put that down here as the last section

So as a would if I was applying on the outside of the car I'm just gonna leave

that a minute or two just to basically do it's thing.

So now we'll go ahead and remove the car wax.

Right so that's all the products removed from the windows.

Just as a reminder we use the Rain-X anti fog up here.

We used shaving gel here.

Toothpaste here.

Antibacterial hand cleaner here.

Bar of soap there.

Car wax.

And that's been untreated just to see how that goes.

So yeah before I go ahead and steam up the windows I just like to take

a moment and say you've enjoyed this video so far then make sure to smash

So yeah enough for that, we'll flick the kettle on again and we'll get

these windows steamed up

Right, so there we have it then we've got the anti-fog up here which is crystal clear.

There's a little smudge there that I've missed.

Shaving foam. That's stayed quiet clear actually.

There's bit in the middle I think that's where it was heavily applied

probably missed a bit but shaving foam seems to work as well

We've got toothpaste up here that also seems to work.

It's a pain taking toothpaste off so if you're in a pinch use shaving foam not toothpaste

The hand sanitizer and the bar of soap and the car wax.

All pretty much not really doing anything.

And then the panel down here blank so yeah there we have it.

That's a few household hacks, I'll just take this camera off so you have a better look.

So yeah that's where I put the Rain-X the anti fog.

That was shaving, foam see a little smudge there.

And toothpaste, which probably where I missed a bit around here.

But toothpaste has worked.

That was the hand sanitizer.

The bar of soap.

The car wax.

And nothing.

So yeah as always I hope you enjoyed that video.

It's been a bit of fun and wait for crazy comments from the neighbors.

When you can use the dedicated stuff that does actually seem to work I wasn't sure that

actually would or not, but if you are in a pinch then shaving foam or

toothpaste would work although I'd try to avoid toothpaste.

Hi all.

Today I want to talk about the Essence

Pure Nude foundation.

It claims to be a foundation Make Up

Natural Finish No Makeup Feel,

so a product with a natural finish

that is not felt on the skin.

The color I tried is 30 Pure Honey,

the amount of the package is a 30 ml

and the price is Euro 4.99.

It comes with the classic pump dispenser

that I find practical and hygienic.

First of all I must say that it really keeps the word given,

in fact it promises to be a foundation for bare skin

effect,

and actually has a really low coverage.

I tried to apply it with my fingers,

with the sponge and with the brush

but the coverage is always low, although I must

say that it fades really well and does not tend

to oxidize once dried.

I find it suitable for those who want to slightly

uniform the color for a No Makeup effect,

always if you do not have imperfections

or stains to cover,

because in this case it is certainly not for you.

I admit I'm a lover of opaque foundations,

but I ended up using it in the hot period when

I did not want too many heavy products on my skin.

A negative fact that I found,

is that even if it is a light finish product,

it has a fairly creamy texture,

and on my mixed skin tends to polish the area t

in a few hours, even if fixed with powder.

Unfortunately I do not recommend it

at all to those who have mixed or greasy skin

because not only shines the face but tends to move

creating spots of color where it slips away,

even if fixed with layers of a good powder.

I find that this foundation can be appreciated

by those who have a normal skin tending to dryness,

and who does not like to have covering products

on the skin,

but maybe just want to slightly uniform

the color of the face.

In this case also seen the price,

maybe I can recommend to try it.

For mixed or oily skin,

normal tending to fat,

or for those who have imperfections or signs of time

to cover,

it is absolutely not the product for you.

Jeep Wrangler TJ TruShield FullShade Top (1997-2006) Review & Install - Duration: 2:54.

Hey, whats up guys.

I'm Ryan from ExtremeTerrain.

And today, I'm here with the TruShield FullShade Top fitting your '97 to '06 Wrangler TJ.

Now, this is for the TJ owner looking for an easy way to protect themselves and the

interior of their jeep from the harsh rays of the sun.

Whether you're just cruising down that road or you're hitting those trails and looking

for some coverage and shade, you really can't go wrong with this top.

Now, this top is gonna provide protection for the front and the rear and it even has

interior zippered pockets allowing you to store those precious items.

Not only that, but this top is gonna fit underneath of your soft top and your hard top and it

can be stored anywhere in the jeep when you're not using it.

Now, this is made of durable woven PVC coated polyester and it even has a UV coating protecting

it from the sun's rays and fading.

Now, this is reasonably priced on the site at around $100 when compared to other options,

and it even comes with a great three-year warranty.

Now, as far as install goes, I am gonna give this a one out of three wrenches since you

can install this in about 15 minutes using the supplied bungees, and the best part is

there's no header channel required or drilling.

Now, with that being said, let's hop into the install.

So we're gonna begin our installation with our top off.

If you have a hard top, you're gonna want to remove it.

And if you have a soft top, you can just fold this back.

So, we are gonna take our sunshade and unravel this and you're gonna find a mini carabiner

in the front.

This is gonna hook on to the footman loop.

So we're gonna start with that at the front.

So we're gonna hook our mini carabiner into our footman loop on the front, making sure

that our zippered pockets face inside the jeep.

So we're gonna take our sunshade and we're gonna pull it over our soundbar and start

with our rear bungees.

So, you're gonna push the bungee through the hole and then we're just gonna go around and

attach that around that ball.

So we're just gonna do a couple of these on this side.

And then we'll get some done on the other side.

So, we're gonna do the same thing on the other side, starting with that rear bungee.

Now, we're gonna work our way up towards the front, just attaching the bungees as we go

along.

So, we're gonna do the same thing for the other side to get these bungees on.

One nice thing about this sunshade is that it actually has this built-in zippered pocket

up here.

Now, the whole thing is made of PVC coated polyester.

So, it's gonna be really durable and it's gonna handle the sun's rays.

This pocket is actually coated in polyurethane so it's gonna give you a waterproof area to

store stuff and also keep things out of your way.

So, let's get these last few bungees installed and then this will finish up the installation.

Learning From My Past Mistakes / WLOG - Duration: 19:52.

So let's get to work

Okay I got my holes dug there got one there man

I love the soil I got one here here I actually hit a PVC pipe right here

so what I'm gonna do is I'm going to

dig out over here and I'm gonna cut the PVC pipe and I'm actually gonna make it come this way

around my hole

just because it still is a PVC pipe that's in use

It is obviously winter right now so it's not being used right now

but I'm gonna dig it out over here engine and then just kind of

T it off and make it go around my cement hole so I can make my cement hole bigger this way

it's fairly deep but I want to bring it out that way a little bit more to get some more coverage but

All right I got my little trench dug out here there's a PVC pipe we're gonna cut double that come through this trench

Cook elbow to that one I did find another

PVC pipe here it's not showing over here so I don't know exactly what happens to it so we're not gonna dig this hole any

bigger that way but what I did instead is I don't know if you guys could see it but I actually dug into

the side that way so it's got like a cave going that way and a kid going now indicate going that way

So it'll give it some

some strength there so we're just gonna go ahead and put our post in here pour the concrete and then later we're gonna cut

those PVCs and make it happen

And it sort of looks like it's gonna rain I hope it doesn't

So one thing I'm going to do here is I'm going to wrap this string around

this post and run it over to that post just so I could get it nice and plumb and

straight with this post

All right got all my postman in the ground got them all nice and plumb level everything's good now

time to built build our, gate frames

Hey if you guys will remember a few videos back I actually built this gate here

I'll link that above here and I'll put like the link is called like

the video I built this gate or whatever but let's take a look at this gate

so let's take a look at this gate and let's learn from this gate, so

In this in the video when I built this a lot of guys so the first thing I can see right off is I need

A much better bolt pattern on this gate than this gate a lot of guys gave me

Comments when I built this gate and they said you need to space out your boards as you can see the boards are fairly spaced

out now you can actually see sunlight through them and that's just because the boards that come from Home Depot or Lowe's

Around here are just wet so you can see there's you know there's a pretty pretty good gap in there

they're definitely not going to swell up because it is winter it's been raining

So they're not gonna swell up and you know explode or whatever let's open it up and see

See what we could improve on so this is

So a few guys said and one thing that I think that we definitely improve on is putting a center support beam

So one one forward across this way just, so we can

Screw our pickets to just so they don't work obviously you can see this one is not warped at all it's been about

two months or so since I built this gate and then I also want to build this frame a

little bit higher so we're about you know maybe a foot off the bat or so

So I really need to let see build

About 59 inches high I'm gonna say 59 inches high will be this game frame and

Then we'll be good to go see a lot of guys you

absolutely love every aspect of them but there's one thing that isn't very good and that is the negative comments

There's a lot of guys out there that they think that they know it all when it comes to whatever you're doing

fencing electrical plumbing whatever and that's cool if you want to think that that's really cool but I for one

will be the first one to say that I do not know everything and I'm not afraid to say that so I

definitely don't know everything about fencing don't know everything about plumbing electrical I don't know it I don't know everything about everything because

there's always someone better out there so I

Am, here and I'm making this YouTube channel so we can all learn together you guys can help me learn I can help you learn

people in the comments can help us all learn

That's what I want this to be so when you leave me a comment you know

maybe try and you know make it make it nice and you know

screws that actually stripped out because I tried a new

Screw type this was made by deck mate and as you can see the screw heads their torque bits

But they're actually not very deep so they would just strip out on me I had like this one stripped out I ended up having

to just hammer it flat

And then there was probably three others that stripped out on me on this fence so I tried a different

I'm trying a different style of

screw on this new gate that I'm building right now

They're a little bit deeper they're still Torx heads I really love Torx head so

this is the gate that I built last time check it out again in that video but let's get to build in here

Man I just hit my

this saw guard this blade guard with a piece of wood and it just shattered I mean there's shatter pieces everywhere

Look at this this is just the everything that just blew off so now when you run it it's like

It's like a blade from hell you know like I don't want to run that that's scary I'm gonna cut my hand off

All right we're gonna we're gonna take lunch take an early lunch here and see about getting

Getting a chop saw that doesn't you know tranq a hand off whenever you try and cut so I ain't cutting with that thing

All right we're here at home we just finished up by eating some lunch I bought myself a new saw I bet you can't

can't guess what brand it is

How is it possible I could have this much makeup on and have it look like I have

nothing on? Because I have a lot of makeup on. I mean A LOT. In January of

2018 this year we set out with actual financial goals. No seriously, we did. We

just chose to ignore them completely. But it turned out even better. Kind of.

Hey guys it's Wendy Valencia! My husband Mauricio, my 7 year old, Melina

and I are 33 months into our debt free journey. 33 months. If you watch my intro

video I think I said in under 3 years. Yeah. We're not even close. But in those

33 months we have paid off over a $188,000 dollars

Which is pretty stinkin' incredible.

But lately life has seemed to get in the way and when life starts getting in the

way it's time to make some changes and that is exactly what we did in 2018.

mMuch like a crash diet you really can only stay on the beans and rice diet for

so long I think we're really on the beans and rice diet we're on the beans

and rice with like steak and Chilean sea bass it's like it truthfully when you

deprive yourself there comes a point when deprivation is really just too much

and too hard and you just can't sustain it and we have been committed from the

beginning to show you the whole process and we actually realized this very very

quickly into the process that if we cut absolutely everything out we were never

gonna make it so we do actually put fun money and spending money and shopping

money into our budget it's not extreme but we do have some so we do have some

flexibility in our budget every month that we can just spend if we want to i

think i'm of the philosophy I'd rather be debt-free and have it take six extra

months then not make it so every year I get all

all the youtubers from my frugal financial YouTube group where I'm an

administrator over there it's kind of ironic that I'm an administrator in a

frugal YouTube group because I'm not frugal not even a little bit I am a

financial youtuber though so that's where that kicks it Oh a bunch of us

have gotten together and we're gonna talk about our wins and our fails our

ups and our downs our highs and our lows a simply whether we met the goals we set

out at the beginning of the year or not so let's talk the pros and the cons of

this year or our wins and fails if you want to call it that financial win

number one we paid off seventy nine thousand six hundred eighty dollars I'm

99 cents and that 99 cents hurts me in a place in my soul that is slightly

obsessive about order and organization one penny more seriously why didn't I

catch that earlier but then I would have been eighty one dollars and it's a whole

numbers thing but that number is a full $15,000 more and then we paid off in

2017 which is pretty cool financial win number two we paid off our biggest loan

which was our Navy Federal Credit Union loan which started out at a hundred and

forty thousand dollars financial win number three we started a sinking fund

so we could go on a trip to Colombia to visit Maurizio's family financial win

number four when we stopped succeeding and we started losing motivation and we

totally changed things up and it actually worked

financial win number five we had our 2015 taxes redone by a tax professional

and that's why we were able to pay fifteen thousand dollars more off this

year than we did last year financial win number six we signed up for an FSA for

both medical and child care for 2019 we've had one before but we wanted to

make sure we were spending the appropriate amount before we signed up

again so we actually tracked for three years to get our averages and then we

went ahead and signed up in number seven we decided to stay in

this house where my parents live and there's a lot of reasons for it one a

little tiny portion was so we could pay off a little more debt but that's

actually not the primary reason the biggest reason is to help out my parents

and coincidentally staying in my parents house is actually a financial fail

number one well it's a fail it's not a huge fail because we know it's the best

decision for absolutely everyone involved however it was our primary goal

for 2018 and we didn't achieve it we didn't even come close because our first

step was to pay off that Navy Federal Credit Union loan and once we paid that

off we were gonna save up to move by the time that rolled around we just we knew

we weren't going anywhere financial fail number two September

October November yeah if we had actually realized that we were suffering the lack

of motivation after paying off our biggest loan we probably would have

changed things up more quickly and maybe we would have put in another fifteen ten

to fifteen thousand into our debt payoff financial fail number three we were over

budget for Christmas but we're always over budget and this is like the closest

to not over budget we've ever been so that's kind of a win right look at me

putting a positive spin on stuff financial fail number four our medical

bills were read all Kilis this year and we had no plan for them we have a

sinking fund for seven hundred and fifty dollars for the deductible but that's it

so this is something we will be absolutely addressing in 2019 because

right now we got multiple issues going on that need to be dealt with relatively

speaking our winds were way bigger than our fails it not only number but actual

volume I mean we paid off a whole massive debt and we paid almost $80,000

to debt this year so that's pretty stinkin amazing I'm pretty proud of us
