Waching daily Dec 26 2017

In this tutorial we are going to scale an image.

Right click on the image in your image folder.

Go to open with and click on Gimp so Gimp opens with our photo.

In the top of our screen we can see the current resolution of our image.

Now we go to the menu bar, click on image and then on scale image.

If you want you can choose here a different type of value, other then pixels.

For now we leave it at pixels.

At the image size we can type in the desired width, lets say 1920 for this photo.

Then we click in the height.

Because the chain icon is locked by default, the aspect ratio of the width and the height

stays intact.

When you change the interpolation to sync, you get a higher quality, but the default

value cubic is usually good enough.

Now click scale.

Click on the zoom icon in the top right of the window to maximize the image.

In the top of our screen we can now see the changed resolution.

To export our image, we go to file and here we can click overwrite to replace the original

image with the resized one.

But when we click on export as, we can give it a new name and export it to our image folder.

Then we have the original as well as the scaled image.

Because our image is an jpeg file, a new dialog box opens where we can change the default

quality to make, if we want, a smaller or larger file size.

But the default value Gimp gives is usually good enough.

Then we click export to safe our image.

I hope this was helpful and if that is the case, please give it thumbs up, subscribe

and leave a nice comment to support my Gimp Workshop channel.

Thank you very much for watching.

🇬🇧 BRITS Opinions On The ROYAL FAMILY?! 👑 | Q&A - Duration: 11:18.

Hi I'm Joel and I'm Lia and welcome back to another Q&A

the last video went down

really well so we thought why not do another one yeah so I've changed the

jumper but kept the fluff arms yeah cuz they went down well as well anyone who hasn't

seen the old video I put on a red jumper that was boring and I attached some

white Christmassy - so they've made a comeback made a comeback and after this I promise

you will never see them again, till next year ok so first question is quite a good

question yeah where's the best place to live in the UK? London no um I went to

Arundel the other day with my family for a big Christmas lunch and apparently

my parents said that had been voted the happiest place to live in the UK it is

beautiful and I would actually really love to live there, how do you measure

happiness in an area exactly well richness

basically is massive castle in the middle of this like, town and it's all really

beautiful it looks like the town from Shrek basically and every house had half

of a Christmas tree stapled to it with Christmas lights on you know like a tree

just against the house half the tree yes they saw off half the tree and attach it onto

the house so it looked like half the tree was in the house and half was out the house.

that's amazing every building in the whole town had a tree on

the house that's so cool best place to live in the UK um for me I'd say one of

the pretty suburbs of London yeah but there's some amazing places like North

North London or southwest of London where you can get into town quickly

enough to have your job here but you've got that country life yeah that would

be the ideal that'd be ideal yeah we'll have all that we will one day one day

next question have you planned a visit to France? no well yes she's not making

me with her! so me and my brother are gonna get the Eurostar train

from Kings Cross down to Paris so and then from Paris we're gonna take trains

around Europe we haven't booked any of the trains we've only booked one way so

we're just gonna see what happens see where we end up on New Year's

and speaking of New Years someone has asked best New Year's Eve plans to do in

London? well there's a couple of things yeah and there's a reason lots of

Londoners get out of London for New Year's Eve yeah and that's because it's

crazy expensive yeah it's oversubscribed and like London clubs can be a bit

underwhelming definitely before I lived in London my family came

here and we stayed in a hotel we went on South Bank but the opposite side so

north bank to watch the fireworks but you had to be careful of the wind

because when we were there we saw about 30 seconds of fireworks then all the

smoke from the fireworks blew our way and completely blocked everything so all

we saw was smoke and it was like that was a complete waste of time

so I wouldn't advise going out to watch the fireworks live in person no I'd only

do that if you're like up a building maybe you can go up The Shard maybe and

watch it from there? That'd be great and you have to book that like a year in advance

You kind of have to book anywhere super early because everywheres booked

for New Year's Eve if you want like a sit-down dinner watching the fireworks

with a nice view in London in some sort of like skyline yeah posh building, I think even on the

London Eye you can book a pod yeah you can crazy crazy

yeah but part of me kind of wants to avoid London on New Year's just because

London's had so much horrible stuff happen to it this year and any time when

London's gonna be busy yeah loads of people potential threat scares me so I

so it's got to you, so it's got to me yes got to you... you're scared

you're running away yeah I'm running away from London. So advice for that don't

come to London, but seriously if you do want advice for London New Year's Eve plans then I

would suggest checking out our friends Jess from Love and London

also Christie from Backpacking Bananas they're both really good they know their

stuff they know more about this sort of thing than we do so go check them out

okay so this is a question that we love answering is best restaurant in London?

we just love food it's so hard it's difficult there are too many there are

too many I wish you'd said favourite then give me the genre and I have to pick

from my favorite breakdown of genre one that I went to the other day which I

really liked was a vegan burger restaurant in Brick Lane

called Mooshies, was so good honestly the best burger I've ever had

I'm not even vegan and it was just so delicious I've got to take my brother there that sounds amazing, it's not necessarily my

favourite restaurant in London but it's one of the places that I tend to go to a

lot and the reason we go there is because it's so easy for groups, it's called Vapianos

and everyone who goes through the doors gets given their own card and when you

leave you only pay for what you ordered on your card so it's perfect for when you're

with like eight friends and everyone just hates that moment the bill comes

because you have to figure out who ate what and it can just be really stressful and

British people sometimes don't just like splitting it eight ways because someone

you know I mean yeah it can just be so awkward and it's just a really great

place to get pizza, pasta or salad it's really good fresh food yeah love love

Italian food love Italian food you literally order

your food put your card like there to tap it to put the food onto your card

then they cook it in front of you, they cook it in front of you and then you pay on the

exit, pay on exit so good so great really good love it in America

though they do splitting bills really well I've noticed when I've gone with

my family there'll be massive tables and they'll give a bill to each person like

a receipt to each person and they just do it whereas in the UK like waiters are

like urgh I've got to split the bill I'm like we need to learn from America

so the next one is what are the must go places in London? My favourite place is

South Bank and as well as that my favourite place is the National Theatre

on South Bank it's made up of three theatres loads of shows you can get £15

tickets I really recommend and I think mine must go place in London is

where Joel said his restaurant was Brick Lane because it's really important for

you to see like gritty bits of London coz it's not all like shiny shiny can't stand

anywhere too polished yeah so get yourself down to East London

and check out Shoreditch check out Brick Lane this is a really

cool question someone has asked what do young people in England and London think

about the Royals? yeah so what do we think about the monarchy? personally we

both love the monarchy, love them! I just think they're great I think they're

great for the country and I just think they're really nice people yeah I

absolutely love them I know a few people who don't yeah who are like I don't want to pay my

taxes for a Royal wedding but I am happy to pay my taxes towards the Royal wedding do you

think it's 50/50 I think 50/50, split down the middle you reckon? Well lots of young people nowadays are becoming more

aware of like injustice and like fairness yes so I understand why people are

saying how is it fair that these people are being paid millions and millions

billions of pounds yeah and there's homeless people like I went to Windsor

Castle the other day and it was amazing this huge castle like so many

rooms and outside I saw like three homeless people and it's like how is

that right yeah I know, it's true, but it's just difficult it's difficult because part of you

loves everything they stand for and the tourism they bring to the UK yes what

they do for us and how happy they make do you know what I mean the morale-boosting not just

in the UK but all over the world but then yeah I guess the money thing is

just really sad and I kind of switch off to it a bit because I don't want to believe it

is true yeah so what are some typical English names? is the next question

okay just off the top my head go Bob Wayne Steve Sarah Lesley Jane

Bob Moira not Moira! Mavis, Melissa, hmmm not Lia and not Joel, yeah not our names basically

an English name beginning with J Jim John just like just simple names English

name beginning with Y. Ooooh that's hard, that's difficult, that's too much, why did I do that?

English names beginning with D Derek Dom. Oh, wonder why you thought of that? Oh, oh! That's my boyfriends name. Dominic. Everyone's

gonna go searching for him on Instagram now. No don't coz he's deleted it. and the last question is how do you make

money from being YouTubers we don't get asked this question very much

I'd expect it to happen more but we don't I sometimes get asked at

like a dinner party yeah oh yeah in person when someone's like what do you do?

you're like I make YouTube videos so YouTubers make money from views on their

channel so they get paid through Google Adsense but no one's allowed to say

exactly how much they earn because we have to do sort of like sign something

at the beginning that says you don't talk about this yeah but it's not a lot

it doesn't make up for a lot of your income the other way money is through

advertisements on your channel in terms of brand deals like working with brands

who might sponsor a video yeah brands on other platforms if

you've got Facebook Instagram Twitter you can also collaborate with them there

and recommend products to your followers that are suitable and brands you

actually like so that's a way of making money

yeah and the other way is to sell your own products so obviously lots of

YouTubers you watch have merch we have a patreon page where rather than sort of

selling merchandise we sort of sell like Skype sessions with us so you can just

hang out and be friends yeah so that's kind of a way of making money but it's

nowhere near enough to sort of say we're full time no we've still got our part-time

like day jobs and then part-time YouTube exactly so we're still hashtag relatable

relatable okay guys we hope you've enjoyed this video

and please leave us a comment if you've got any other questions because we love

doing these yeah definitely and I hope you enjoy New Years Eve we both do

oh yeah and New Year's Day as well it's gonna be 2018 can't believe it I can't

believe we've hit 15k every year since we started we always say what do you

want for Christmas 10,000 subscribers we wanna reach that milestone and

then it didn't happen until this year it just all happened really quickly yeah it

suddenly hit ten thousand in about October I think and so now we've hit fifteen

thousand which is insane so thank you to everyone who has subscribed we loved

sort of growing a little community around us I think is absolutely fine to

want more people to watch your videos oh yeah, so we're just like happy to

celebrate that and not be like oh we can't mention numbers

so yeah thanks everyone for your support and we'll see you next time

bye

What is she saying?(59) (Listening Practice) [ ForB English Lesson ] - Duration: 2:32.

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to ForB English.

I'm Gabriella and you're watching our episode of "What is she saying?"

So can you guess what I'm saying?

What do you think?

What do you think?

What do you think?

What am I saying?

Let's try it this time with a hint.

What do you think?

What do you think?

What do you think?

Could you get it this time?

Let's try it again a little bit slower.

What do you think?

What do you think?

What do you think?

Okay.

I hope you got it this time.

The answer is "What do you think?"

Okay, so this is a very useful expression to ask for someone's opinion on something

and you've probably noticed that the native speed version is very reduced

so we basically reduce the phrase and there are kind of two versions to this.

Sometimes we say "Wha" and the "Wha" sound becomes very short and then we say "jer",

so the "do you" becomes a "jer" merged sound and then "think", sometimes we don't always

release the "k" sound at the end, so it's like "thin", "thin", "thin".

So together, three parts: "wha-jer-thin"?

Some native speakers of English make it even shorter and it sounds like "cha-thin", "cha-thin", "cha-thin",

so it's just the second and third part that you'll hear.

So to put this into practice, please repeat after me slowly.

What do you think?

Okay.

A little bit faster.

What do you think?

And faster again.

What do you think?

Okay, great job.

Let's try it three times native speed now.

Ready?

What do you think?

What do you think?

What do you think?

Great job!

Thank you very much for watching.

Now you can ask for someone's opinion using "What do you think?"

Eatbook's Best Of 2017 - Last Vlog Of The Year | Eatbook Vlogs | EP 45 - Duration: 10:33.

Hi guys!

Hi! Hi!

Hoi!

Eatbook's Youtube channel actually only started about…

first week of January!

We were a team of two!

Basically, Taste Testers started when we felt that there were so many stores in Singapore selling the same food.

For example, chicken rice and wanton mee.

So, we wanted to see which is the best of the best.

I like the (Ramandan) Bazaar one.

That one was like a different style,

and I think it was received well also.

It was very engaging.

Ya, it was way more engaging.

All these events are quite fun.

My favourite favourite would be the first episode I produced,

which is JJ Thai.

I liked the Playmade one,

because we got to drink everything.

The whole table was filled with all the bubble teas!

I was only ever involved in one episode of vlogs,

which is our Malacca vlog.

I guess that's really my favourite one.

It was super memorable.

Especially the part where I got Kaiying to sing.

And then she felt so betrayed because

I cut out the part where I was singing.

Ya! Oh my god!

I was so angry!

And then, when the video came out,

Steph was not inside!

It's not my fault!

It's her fault, she edited the video.

The Yishun one was fun too.

The Milo peng was the best!

Milo peng, Milo peng, my favourite Milo peng.

I really like chicken so I like the chicken wings one.

That was nice. The Sticky Wings ah?

Ya, I love Sticky Wings.

Did you eat though?

Ya, I ate after they ate.

Because Xenia couldn't finish hers.

Then can you help me pay the $10, producer?

The Mother's Day episode.

Yes, the Mother's Day episode! That was so funny!

I think my top would be,

the bean curd episode for Taste Testers.

Because that's the first Taste Testers episode that I've ever produced myself.

Are you serious?!

B is…

Wait what?!

How can it be? No freaking way!

I love the weird food combination one!

Peanut butter and pickles.

Oh my god, that changed my life!

Actually, I thought chicken rice won't have that much of a difference,

but then, actually it really did.

Her king fell.

Ya! I was so confident about Tian Tian.

Actually, I didn't mind the coffee one.

I thought it was damn funny!

Adriel and I were like so serious about it.

Mmm...

Then you and Steph were just like,

ahhh!

Dude, you have to understand…

We got so much hate on that video.

I love that…

Because they were like,

"You don't know how to drink coffee.

Why would you get people who don't know how to drink coffee on that episode?"

Weird soda flavour was disgusting.

It was very gross eh! It was disgusting eh.

Oh my god. Ice-cream episode!

It was the episode where I was so excited to be on.

It's ice-cream... right?

But then, it was bad ice-cream, it was terrible ice-cream!

I don't know how to feel about that,

especially, after talking about the ice-cream episode.

I don't know if it's a trap.

Every time they say this right, it's something bad.

I'm serious!

It's never good, Eatbook is never so good to us!

That's true!

Wait, wait, wait, wait what?!

Free food?!

Why'd you laugh like that?

The most popular Taste Testers episode is Instant noodles, for sure.

So, since many of our viewers like challenges,

We will do a mashup of a food challenge of Spicy Tom Yum and Maggie Mee.

No way!

Dude, I'm the last person that should be on this episode!

Aiya, Tom Yum noodle only.

I love Tom Yum!

This is like our go-to snack right! Whoa!

It's instant noodles.

Eh dude, guys,

I cannot take spicy...

Do you all want to know what's inside first?

Chilli? Chilli padi with the Korean spicy sauce?!

I cannot... I cannot!

Eh, smells normal.

Ya, wait till you eat it.

It's black!

Can you feel my heartbeat?

beat

No...

This is how we are celebrating the last vlog of the year.

This is how we are celebrating the last vlog of the year. Do you know why it's the last vlog?

Because everybody dies after...

Okay, 1, 2, 3!

Very hot!

Ya, very hot eh.

I feel like a Targaryen eh.

I'm the dragon!

Oh...

Where's my water?

Cannot drink water!

I'm choking!

I got chest burn.

Here right.

Wah... it's spicy eh!

Eh, I'll die, I think I might cry...

Eh, I drew my eyeliner for this episode!

You did?

Yeah, I did.

Oh my god. Ya, you did.

Oh my god, I'm tearing already.

I think Steph will be the screaming one.

Why am I doing this?!

You must be heytherescreamer.

I don't scream!

Heythereloser!

Walao!

I am sad!

Oh shit!

Are you really sad?

I have lost control of all senses.

Your orange lipstick very nice!

Can I give the rest to John?

I'm so sad! I cannot do this....

Oh my god...

Are you crying?

I'm not.

I think my eyeballs are sweating!

We are done!

Nothing came out of me.

I can keep going.

Okay, no no no, I cannot. I cannot.

Oh god...

Steph...

What?

You barely ate.

I really eat a lot eh!

Look at her noodles!

What the hell.

Eh, my forfeit is already I got heythereloser.

I sad...

No, your forfeit is that, you must change your,

Nooo!

Instagram handle to @heythereloser!

For one day! For one day!

Done. I'm done.

Very long never ate anything...

I cannot eat spicy food at all...

Oh my god. Thank you!

Oh my god. Yes!

I want to see John eat!

Can you ask John to give me water also?

So there's a carpet here...

Okay, I called you because they allowed me to phone a friend.

Because I needed a bit of help.

So, you just need to help me eat some of this Maggie mee.

Maggie mee?

No no no, cannot.

Don't want...

Is it spicy? I scared!

Just eat la.

Ahhh... It's Maggie mee.

Just eat it, I scoop into your mouth for you.

Wah spicy!

John, they did this to me eh.

You know we both cannot take spicy right!

What is this?

It's damn spicy!

Oh no... I hear the laugh.

No!

Open your eyes!

Oh my god. It looks amazing eh!

Happy last vlog of the year, Chuan!

Charlene!

Awww!

Eating.

Kaiying is such an angel, she is such an angel.

Kaiying niang niang.

Eatbook, you eat a lot.

What is life without food?

Yes...

Oh my god. I think I gained weight eh.

Really? I think I gained weight also.

Because you eat a lot.

Steph, how much weight have you gained since you joined?

I have no idea... I've lost count.

I stopped measuring and blah blah blah blah...

Throwback to the first episode.

I like the people like Stephanie,

and Qing and Mikko and Gwen.

Because they are behind the camera.

Ya and everybody else. I like our team.

I like the culture,

how we all work well together actually.

When I think of work, I'll think of Eatbook like the people.

We are all very different.

On our chat, we just say stupid stuff every day and it's so fun.

And, we bond over the same thing.

At 4pm, we will run to the pantry to eat cake and everything.

As much as we get a lot of free food right,

the people matters a lot here!

Do this #2 step before going to bed and see the Magic / indiangirlchannel trisha - Duration: 3:14.

Hi friends! In today's video i will show you how to get a soft, glowing and bright skin by using a 2 step process just before sleeping.

I have used these two steps for 12 to 15 days and i have got magical results on my skin

So I thought i should share this video with all of you. So, let's begin!

Before any skin care, it is important to prepare your skin, so take a towel and dip it in a bowl of warm water

Then clean your skin with the towel, while doing steaming

After preparing your skin, for the 1st step, take 1 teaspoon of glycerin in a bowl

Then add 8 to 10 drops of water in it and mix it very well

Now apply the glycerin mixture all over your skin

Glycerin can be used on all types of skin and it acts as a very good moisturizer.

And it gives a youthful glow to the ageing and dull skin

After applying the glycerin, wait for 10 min and feel free to do anything in between, be it passing time or any important work.

After 10 min, soak a cotton ball in water and then clean your skin with it

Along with being a great moisturizer, the glycerin acts as a good cleaning agent as well

If you find your skin getting too sticky after cleaning with a cotton ball then use fresh water to thoroughly wash your skin.

Then the second step is multiple time toner application.

Make sure the toner you are using does not contain any alcohol, best would be to use pure rose water

I am using the pure rose water from Kama Ayurveda

In Korean skin care, 7 time toner application is called 7 skin method and my process is inspired from this famous Korean method.

In this method, after the cleansing process, apply the toner on your skin in a dabbing motion, once the toner is absorbed reapply it. Continue reapplying the toner for 5-7 times.

Using the toner like this for multiple times, makes your skin very hydrated and your skin looks very healthy.

When you apply the toner for the last time, you will notice that your skin has become healthy and glowing

Global economic growth to reach fastest rate in seven years in 2018 - Duration: 1:48.

As 2017 starts to wind down,... investment banks have crunched their numbers and released

their growth projections for the global economy in 2018.

Overall it looks good,... especially for South Korea, which is forecast to further cement

its position as one of the world's strongest economies.

Kim Hyesung has this report.

2018 looks set to be a year of good economic growth around the globe.

According to Bloomberg's investment banks' median estimates, the global economic growth

outlook for 2018 is three-point-seven percent.

Goldman Sachs and Barclays were the most bullish, predicting global growth to reach four percent

next year, which would be the highest since 2011's four-point-three percent.

(Korean- ed: steve)- "Stronger growth in the U.S.,... backed by

tax cuts and a cyclical recovery in the Eurozone,... is expected to boost global economic growth

next year."

Advanced economies' solid economic growth is expected to increase global oil demand,

giving a boost to Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Banks forecast those countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and others, to see a

rebound from this year's zero-point-eight percent to two-point-three percent next year.

China, which has been the driver of the global economy, is expected to see slower growth

next year, a fall from this year's six-point-eight percent to six-point-four percent... as the

country works to rein in growing debt and oversupply.

South Korea, however, is set to see its growth momentum continue, and hit around three percent

again in 2018.

South Korea has enjoyed solid economic growth on the back of its strong exports.

Quarterly data released by the OECD on Monday showed South Korea's third quarter real GDP

recording one-and-a-half percent, the third highest in the G20.

AYS Daily Growth Hacks 220 Revisit: You Haven't Proven Yourself Yet - Duration: 8:57.

Hi, it's Doug Holt with Author of Your Own Story and in today's episode we're

gonna revisit one of our most popular Daily Growth Hacks. So grab your notebooks

and remember the key to success is doing the work

let's get started

today's topic you haven't proven yourself yet

hi I'm Doug Holt with Author of Your Own Story and this is your Daily Growth Hack

where each day we bring you a tip, trick or insight to help you up level what we

call the five to thrive that is your mind, your body, your soul, your

relationships and your business. So what do I mean by here you haven't proven

yourself yet well I'm talking to a specific segment

of us and I include myself in that segment now if you are constantly

bettering yourself you also are constantly changing now this is

especially true if personal development or business development are just growth

in general is newer to you and that means not just new that you've just are

first learning about it but you're really actually diving in if you've been

listening to these daily growth hacks we've done over 50 of them now and if

you've been actually putting into action to call the action at the end of each of

them you have changed your life dramatically I can guarantee that

now what happens well I'm gonna tell you a story first and then I'll come back

and relate that back so I had a client of mine who I've been working with for

about three months at this time and he called me up and he was having a problem

he said Doug you know my daughter she is visiting and she is such a pain she's

driving me nuts she's super mean to me she's picking on me she's being brewed

and she's just being disrespectful now when I started working with this man he

wasn't at his prime and meaningly so obviously somebody that seeks a coach

wants to get better well after we started coaching together

he started doing deeper dives he was reading books listening to audios

watching videos journaling daily doing his 90 day game he had taken a complete

180 from the man that I met before and it was amazing to see now obviously he's

excited he's grasped this new life he's going after what previously he thought

was impossible to have he was becoming the author of his own story and he was

vibrant with energy as a coach is nothing warms my heart more than to see

that but what happened is his daughter was living with his baby's mom it came

to visit him now she's about eight years old and she comes to visit him and now

he's this changed man now he wants to spend time with her before maybe he

didn't he would kind of pawn her off to somebody else he would be disrespectful

to her and to his girlfriend in front of her he would be

mean rude and frankly childish in my opinion now what he did is he was now

being loving he was being honest open and like telling her hey things have

changed I've changed I've seen the error of my ways and I love you but of course

as anybody would do especially an 8 year old she rejected it like hey she just

pushed back this I don't believe this no she wasn't saying this out loud but

you could tell this was going on internally and I know this only because

I've been through this myself and you can't expect this 8 year old or

anybody this goes to your spouse too - all of a sudden expect you to change

just because you have you haven't proven yourself yet you haven't proven the

change now it's easy to make a change now for a lot of people listening to us

you're thinking well jeez it's hard you know I'm having a hard time making a

change myself and it might be and I get that I'm with you but the change part is

actually the easy part the hard part is keeping it up this is just like a

workout program or a diet if you've been on one before easy to start hard to

continue now it's only hard to continue because you give up on yourself your

former self the other part of you your thermostat set so low that you actually

self-destruct you self-sabotage unless you're staying on top of it that's where

this 90 day game I came up with comes in so handy is you're able to stay on top

at day to day now back to his daughter his daughter was simply saying giving us

dad a hard time like I don't trust you and she had to push back she had a

challenge she had to test him to make sure that he was doing the right things

and he was calling me and saying Doug I need help like I don't know what's going

on this is ridiculous you know maybe this isn't working I just simply told

him look you haven't proven yourself you haven't proven yourself to be a man you

haven't proven yourself to be a father yet and we had a heart-to-heart and

frankly a very tough conversation where I had to be real and honest with him and

it hit him and he thanked me for that conversation one week later I get a

picture from him and he is backpacking in the backcountry and sends me a

picture of he and his daughter laughing and having a great time so what I told

him to do is just love her even more just do 10 times the love 10 times the

compliments 10 times the man that you know you are show it to her don't just

say it and every time she tests you know that she's just crying for love she's

crying to make sure that you are this new person that you claim

to be because she wants as she needs this now she's an 8 year old little girl

but how often does this happen in other relationships in our lives with your

spouse I can tell you specifically from my standpoint this has happened between

my wife and I where I would change and she would test me and I would break down

and get madder yell at her why don't you believe me I made a change and I'm

changing I'm a better person and I would get all angry and upset

realizing actually you know what I hadn't changed at all really I got

triggered and I just blew up and I got upset right away cuz Wow dare she test

me and not believe me when really if I'm being the man that I claim to be I would

just roll with it and realize she was testing me because I'm solid in Who I am

now I've done a lot of work and I've gotten there and I hope you have too and

if you haven't you're on your journey just remember when you're strong within

yourself and you're changing remember the people around you are going to have

to wait to see those results you can't just change and expect people to take

away that 20 years of being the jerk or the 20 years of being the liar or the 20

years of being lazy or the 20 years of being the person who is always the

comedian making fun of people whatever it may be for you you can't just expect

them to change overnight because you've made the change now in your

relationships and your marriage if you've been a jerk for 10 years and now

you've seen the light and you want to be the true king or or maybe a queen in

your relationship you can't expect that change to happen in a month two months

maybe you're not even in a couple years but if you're solidified and being that

person if you really make that change that's not gonna be a problem for you

you're gonna carry through you're gonna be the change and show the results

actions speak louder than words every time words are important but actions

always speak louder than words so I ask you today in your five to thrive where

have you made a change and are getting pushback from somebody else and

realizing really what they're saying is show me show me that change consistently

and where are you breaking down so patch those holes up patch them up and realize

more solidified you get in who you are as a human the more solidified you get

on your story how your being the author of your own story the

here it becomes stand in your own power stand in who you are and everybody else

will see it and you will shine and if they don't see it it won't matter that's

the beauty of this it won't matter at all because you're just being you you're

being you now is this the new you maybe maybe this is just really just the old

you and you've just taken away all the crap stand in your power and be you and

show them walk the walk and show them show them how they can become the author

of their own story you get the chance to be the inspiration there's nothing

better you can not only better your life but you can better the lives of those

around you so today my call to action is multifaceted I do want you to journal as

always I want you to break down your five to thrive and see where you may be

breaking down and where you can actually walk the walk a little stronger and show

other people who and lead with love but also I'm gonna give you the opportunity

or I want you to take the opportunity because I know it's gonna fulfill you

share the daily growth hacks with five people you love that's my challenge for

you share them with five people that you love get them on the path this is gonna

start conversations with people that you love and people around you

that matter conversations where you're building your own tribe you can talk

about the same things just like this Daily Growth Hack imagine if you had five

close friends that were listening to this right now

you could go out get coffee go for a run get a beer whatever and have a deep

conversation about this and grow together

be a leader build your tribe remember as always be the Author of Your Own Story.

Hi Bixby - there's potential - Duration: 6:35.

I wanted to do this video in English, but then I thought "Why?"

English people can already use Bixby without problems, but the problems are for the others.

Bixby, for those who do not know this, it is the new assistant of Samsung. At least for now, unfortunately, it is available

only in English and Korean, but they said they are working on the implementation of new languages.

Without going around, let's go straight to the point: Why do I think there is potential in Bibxy?

First of all, machine learning. Bixby is not only able to do everything the other assistants do, but learns.

You can teach Bixby to do something with a certain command. Plus Bixby learns your way of speaking.

We don't speak perfectly in English, each of us has his own way of pronouncing the words,

everyone has the own way of speaking in English and Bixby can learn it.

You have some phrases to read and the pronunciation of the words is saved for a better understanding of future commands.

And I confess you something. It works !

It works because at the beginning I gave some commands and a good half was not understood

or Bixby understood other things because he did not understand what I said,

Then I did some machine learning.

After about 30 minutes of sentences and my pronunciations saved, a good 80% of the commands

was understood without problems. Then the problem is that Bixby, at least for now is only in English and ok.

But surely when they'll implement all the other languages, and then when there will be Bixby in Italian, it will be the best.

This assistant can interact with almost any app and can do actions inside them.

For example if you open facebook manually and then you want to post the last picture taken, you can say Hi Bixby, post the last picture taken

* stop activating *

and the assistant will do all the rest, maybe tell him to also include some description and Bixby will do all the rest.

All these actions can also be said outside the app. In the sense you are on the bed,

you have the phone on the table, you do not want to get up, say "Hi Bixby" and say the whole command from the begin.

I mean <Open facebook, post the last picture taken and write "Hello" (any description)>

and Bixby will do everything from the begin. Obviously if there is a phone lock, he will ask you to unlock the phone.

Or if for example you are at home and you have the smart lock, he will do all the actions on its own.

The important thing is that he understands everything he has to do.

This is the only assistant, for now, who has 3 voices.

I personally use the standard one called Stephanie and I think it's the best.

However, there are 2 female and 1 male voice packs.

In addition, Bixby Home.

Bixby Home is a hub where you can put your favorite apps, news, calendar,

all you want because obviously it is customizable, and have everything on hand.

A bit like the BlackBerry hub, although this is pretty much improved.

I personally do not use it, but simply because I'm used to open the apps to see the notifications.

But Bixby Home, indeed, is a good hub because it contains everything you need

on hand, all in one place and more allows you to save the battery.

Last, but not least, the dictation. Because Bixby can write a dictation and can do it in two ways: by pressing the button or not.

If the keyboard is opened, holding down the Bixby button you can do a dictation and Bixby will write it down

in the selected language so this does not depend from the fact that Bixby is only in English or in Korean

in fact, in this way the dictation can also be written in Italian, or in any case in the language selected in the keyboard.

Without pressing the key, the commands are in English. After activating Bixby, just say "DICTATE" and then say the phrase that Bixby has to write.

And this is a very convenient feature and will be even more convenient when all languages are implemented

because, for example, who goes to school and wanna take written notes, just activate the dictation and because Bixby will write everything that will be dictated.

And that's all for now. I think there's a lot of potential in Bixby because he's already a great rival to Siri,

in many aspects he already exceeds Siri, even if the only deficit of this new assistant is, precisely, the language.

But when all the languages will be implemented this assistant will be, in my opinion, the number 1.

And just to insert a small final parenthesis, Bixby can also be connected to the Internet of Things,

that is, it can control smart fridges, everything. If you have a smart home, you can control it through Bixby

because he has the functions implemented for the Internet of Things.

So who has an S8 or Note 8, and haa Bixby and unfortunately does not speak well in English,

continue to teach him your way to talk because, once he has understood your pronunciation,

once Bixby understands your way of saying things, everything will be easier,

It will be much easier to teach other words and read other phrases to make Bixby learn the way you pronounce.

So do not give up, make sure to teach him because it will be really comfortable.

And then I reconfirm what I said at the beginning: Hi Bixby, has potential.
