Waching daily Dec 27 2017

hey guys today I have a multifunctional tool to show you it's an emergency radio

backup power supply in a flashlight all-in-one

this is the MECO emergency radio Solar Hand Crank multifunctional survival tool

I believe that it's important to be prepared for any type of emergency

especially weather-related situations where the power might be out

and you might find yourself stranded somewhere and you have nothing or maybe

you just have your car this device is waterproof to the level

of IP x3 which allows you to use it outdoors and snow or sleep doesn't mean

you can fully drench it or dump it in anywhere mainly just it gets enough

wetness nothing severe it is very easy lightweight in its very you can hold on

your hand it's nothing big or clunky it's not even that heavy so let's show

you what comes in the package so the package includes your radio device it

also includes your USB charging cable your output charging cable USB connector

connector to USB converter which you would used to place in here

and you have your user manual that comes inside as well now what's unique about

this device is that it can be charged in three separate ways you can do it in USB

port via solar power through the solar power fountain panel found on the top or

by using the hand crank which one's up the internal alternator you like that

one minute of hand-cranking supports over five minutes of cellphone talk

15-20 minutes continuous torchlight or even 15 to 20 minutes of radio play in a

medium volume of course if the radio itself works with am/fm and NOAA radio

and there's a six lumen LED light the button is found at the top right here

it's very decently bright it can be bright for us how much you crank it for

I would assume there you go so this device can also be used to charge any

other device as well all you have to do is use the output charging cable which

is this one right here right here you plug it into the spot on

the side the circular input make sure you attach the USB connector to USB

converter and place your cell phone charging cable or whatever charging

cable you need to use or device you need at charge all right so when you're

trying to use the radio there is a tuning knob and the volume button and

you can switch between WB FM and AM so I'm going to try FM I turn the volume up

do as well on Saturday well there we go then for New Year's Eve would we have

Sunday night down to 60 believe I found The Weather

Channel and Alex helpful so that is the radio portion of this device so this is

the MECO multifunctional radio flashlight this would be a great item to

keep on hand in your home backpack or your vehicle especially for emergencies

thanks for watching

you

[English captions] DIY HANDMADE SNOWMAN SQUISHY TUTORIAL - Duration: 5:30.

Hi guys, Mini here!

For today... Tada!

When I asked what squishy I should make next in this video

Many of you said a snowman

So I'll be doing just that!

Let's get started right away!

First, get a balloon

Then, this!

Get some smooth sand

I bought this at Tokyu Hands department store

I want to fill the balloon with the sand

So get a plastic bottle ready!

This probably had green tea in it...

Let's pour the sand into the bottle

Inflate the balloon

Twist the end,

Seal the bottle with the balloon,

And pour in the sand

Release the air

Keep some air inside

Tightly tie a knot!

Nice sound!

A hair tie!

Get about two of them

Around here maybe?

Adjust it a little...

OK, I tied it so it looks like a snowman

Next...

Get a disposable bowl

Silicone!

Fill the bowl with the silicone

After that...

Corn starch!

Pour in plenty

Mix well

After mixing, you can touch it like clay

Still gotta add more

It's looking good, just like clay

Now...

After tightening firmly,

Cut off the end

Take small pieces of silicone clay

And wrap it aorund the balloon

Spread the silicone thin as you wrap it around

Now the balloon is totally covered!

Smooth out the silicone...

While also squaring up the shape

Now it looks like a snowman!

Next, get some water...

And dish soap!

Smells good!

This time, get some clear silicone

Pour some in...

The silicone won't stick on to your hands with the soap

Apply it on top

Coat the snowman with a clear silicone

It'll make it look more icy

And it'll look more realistic as a snowman!

You only need a very thin coat

Coat thoroughly, and then...

Adjust the shape

Don't make it too smooth

That'll make it look too unnatural

Keep the surface a little rough to make it look more natural

Now just wait until it dries!

Cleaning up is going to be a chore!

Alright, the silicone hardened!

I think the unevenness makes this pretty realistic!

Next up!

In this bowl...

Add Jointcaulk! (Sealant)

You don't need that much

Add black paint...

And mix well

Let's use this to draw the face

The face is done!

It's done!

Finally...

I think it'd be cute if you wrap a scarf on it too

This scarf looks good on it!

Trim off the excess...

The snowman squishy is complete!

*ASMR*

*End of ASMR*

So what did you think?

If you have any other squishy requests, comment down below!

I'll see you in my next video!

Bye-bye!

U.S. trade wars with foreign firms surge amid Trump's 'America First' drive - Duration: 0:52.

A recent report shows that ever since President Trump came to power, there has been a wave

of trade wars between American firms and their foreign competitors.

The Washington Post released on Tuesday its analysis of U.S. Commerce Department data,

which found that 23 new trade disputes had been initiated since January, making 2017

the busiest year for tariff cases in more than 15 years.

It also reports that the new cases target trade between the U.S. and 29 countries, the

most in any year since 2001.

One of those countries includes South Korea, with a case brought by Whirlpool to impose

anti-dumping duties on Korean washing machines made by Samsung and LG.

The surge in complaints comes amid Trump's push for his so-called "America First" policies.

Korea's consumer sentiment falls in Dec.; first drop in 3 months: BOK - Duration: 1:32.

South Korea's consumer sentiment had ticked up over the past two months on thawing Seoul-Beijing

relations and easing tensions between the Koreas.

However,... the related index didn't fare so well in December.

It logged its first drop in three months after the central bank hiked the key interest rate.

Kim Hyesung has the details.

Korea's consumer sentiment index fell slightly in December, after hitting a seven-year high

the month before.

Data from the Bank of Korea on Wednesday shows the composite consumer sentiment index edged

down to 110-point-9 in December, down one-point-four points from November.

The index continued to go up for six straight months between February and July, fell in

the summer due to North Korea tensions, then went up again in October and November.

The central bank said the index fell in December mainly as households with debt were pessimistic

about their economic conditions after a rate hike in late November.

The Bank of Korea raised its key interest rate for the first time in more than six years,

from a record low one-point-two-five percent to one-and-a-half percent,... kicking off

a policy-tightening cycle on the back of the country's export-driven economic recovery.

Consumer sentiment regarding current living standards and their future outlook also edged

down two points and one point respectively from the previous month, to 94 and 103.

Expectation for the inflation rate over the next twelve months, however, remained unchanged

from November, standing at two-and-a-half percent.

U.S. announces $285m cut in UN 2018 operating budget - Duration: 1:49.

The U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, has announced that the Trump

administration has negotiated a 285 million-dollar cut in the UN's budget for the next fiscal

year.

The announcement comes days after a vote condemning President Trump's recognition of Jerusalem

as the capital of Israel.

Ro Aram reports.

Although Haley did not explicitly say the reason for the budget cut was because of the

vote by the 120 countries last week, it certainly looks that way.

She made a veiled threat of cutting U.S. funding to the UN before the vote was held and issued

a statement on Christmas Eve touting the 285-million-dollar cut in the budget as a product of U.S. negotiation.

She added that the U.S. will "no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken

advantage of or remain unchecked."

It's still unclear if the budget savings will come from a reduction in the U.S. contribution

to the UN, which is about 22 percent of the world body's 5-point-4-billion-dollar biennial

budget.

But, Haley's statement did not mention any other member states that may have taken issue

with what she called the UN's "inefficiency and overspending."

There could be more cuts in the future as Trump's proposed spending budget for next

year would end funding for UN climate change programs and also reduce funding to UNICEF

by 16 percent.

Trump's threats of cutting contributions to the UN emerged long before the vote to condemn

his Jerusalem decision, but tensions have certainly heightened after it.

The spokesman for UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said the world body is currently

studying the impact of the newly adopted budget numbers and will soon issue a statement on

the matter.

U.S. announces sanctions on two officials over North Korea's missile program - Duration: 1:42.

The U.S. government has unveiled tough new sanctions on two men within the highest reaches

of North Korea's ballistic missile development program.

The Treasury Department's announcement is just the latest in the Trump administration's

maximum pressure campaign against Pyongyang.

Park Soyun reports.

The U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control imposed sanctions on two key

North Korean officials on Tuesday for their reported involvement in Pyongyang's ballistic

missile program.

The department says Kim Jong-sik, a veteran rocket scientist, is a key figure responsible

for advancing the program to a point where the regime is successfully testing ICBMs capable

of reaching the U.S. mainland.

He was also involved in helping the North transition from liquid to solid fuel engines.

The other man on the list is Ri Pyong-chol, a former senior air force commander, who oversees

the regime's ballistic weapons development program.

Ri and Kim accompanied North Korean leader Kim Jong-un during the launch of the Hwasong-14

on July 4th and 28th, as well as September's launch of the Hwasong-12, which flew over

Japan.

In a sign of their importance within the regime,... the U.S. Treasury says both men were apparently

invited by Kim Jong-un to travel with him on his private plane.

The sanctions mean any assets the two officials hold in the United States can be confiscated

and prohibits Americans from interacting with them.

They will also be banned from overseeing transactions made in U.S. dollars.

Watchers say the punitive measures make up a key part of the Trump administration's efforts

to resolve the North Korean issue through intense sanctions and pressure.

Thirty N. Korean defectors test negative for radiation exposure - Duration: 0:48.

Mired in a bitter internal feud,... the center-left People's Party is set to hold a general vote

on possibly merging with the minor opposition Bareun Party.

The party's election commission says the four-day nationwide ballot for all party members begins

today,... and the result will be announced on Sunday morning.

The idea of a general vote was brought up by party chairman Ahn Cheol-soo last week,...

where he also staked his job on the proposed merger.

But Ahn's push is facing sharp resistance from many party members who say the vote lacks

legitimacy and should be stopped.

They have even asked the Seoul Southern District Court to halt the vote.

However, the pro-Ahn side say that, by teaming up,... the new-look party can woo more voters

in local elections set for June.

Watchers say the outcome of the vote can also be seen as a vote of confidence on Ahn's leadership

skills.

N. Korea could participate in PyeongChang Winter Olympics: Unification Ministry - Duration: 2:06.

South Korea has tested 30 North Korean defectors for signs of radiation exposure.

The Seoul-based Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical

Sciences tested 26 North Korean women and four North Korean men... who defected

from Kilju County, Hamgyeongbuk-do Province, near the North's Punggye-ri nuclear test site.

These defectors had been in the area during the North's first, second and third nuclear

tests, between 2006 and 2015.

The defectors showed no significant signs of radiation exposure.

There have been over 100 North Korean defectors from Kil-ju County

since the first nuclear test in October 2006.

N. Korea may seek for dialogue with U.S. as 'nuclear state': unification ministry - Duration: 2:28.

Having achieved notable advancements in nuclear and missile capabilities,... North Korea may

pursue negotiations with the U.S. to earn recognition as a 'nuclear state.'

next year.

The driving force may be the need to find a way out of growing international pressure.

And our Oh Jung-hee says that many analysts, including unification ministry officials here

in Seoul... anticipate more reveals during Kim Jong-un's upcoming New Year's speech.

North Korea has made some progress in developing its nuclear and missile capabilities this

year... and next year, the regime may seek to be recognized as a 'nuclear state'... and

negotiate with the U.S.

That's... the South Korean unification ministry's evaluation and outlook on North Korea.

The ministry says...

Pyongyang has enhanced its nuclear capabilities and missile range... through September's nuclear

test and multiple missile launches this year.

But the ministry says... it's unclear whether the regime can actually fire an intercontinental

ballistic missile with a nuclear warhead.

The economic impact of international sanctions is starting to hit the regime,... as figures

show... the North's trade with China decreased by over 10-percent in November compared to

last year... and total exports fell,... by almost 32-percent on-year.

The number of its overseas workers has also dropped.

International humanitarian assistance for North Korea is on the decline... and several

of its ambassadors have been expelled,... which implies the regime is becoming further

isolated.

The unification ministry says... the regime may seek a way-out of its current state next

year.

And that's why the young North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's New Year's speech next week...

will draw much attention.

(Korean) "Kim Jong-un's New Year's speech lays out

the regime's overall direction for domestic politics and the economy, as well as for relations

with other countries.

There's a high possibility that Kim may declare the regime's completion of its nuclear weapons

program and turn toward a peaceful dialogue with the surrounding countries."

For the last two years, Pyongyang has been passive in interacting with Seoul,... making

no replies to Seoul's suggestion of military talks and Red Cross conferences.

The unification ministry says it will pay close attention to whether the North will

hint of a change to that... through the upcoming New Year's speech.

Top U.S., Russia diplomats discuss need for de-escalating North Korea tensions - Duration: 1:43.

Russia has reiterated its call for the United States and North Korea to start a negotiations

process with the ultimate aim of resolving the nuclear crisis.

Russia's top diplomat blamed Washington's aggressive rhetoric for the escalated tension

on the Korean peninsula during a phone call on Tuesday with his U.S. counterpart.

Our Park Hee-jun with more.

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Tuesday

that the Trump administration's "aggressive" rhetoric is behind the uptick in tensions

on the Korean peninsula.

During a telephone call with Tillerson on Tuesday, Lavrov called the U.S. rhetoric "unacceptable"

and said that in order to resolve the crisis,... Washington needs to move away from such aggressive

words.

On the sidelines, the two diplomats discussed possible steps that could be taken to resolve

the Syrian crisis and the situation in Ukraine.

The telephone talks follow Russia's call for negotiations between the United States and

North Korea.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow is ready to mediate and is ready to facilitate

nuclear talks, but only "if both sides need it and want it."

He added Moscow's willingness to help de-escalate the current situation was "obvious."

Russia has long called on the two sides to begin talks to pursue a diplomatic solution

to North Korea's nuclear weapons program.

The offer comes amid months of tension between Washington and Pyongyang,... and days after

the UN Security Council unanimously voted to impose new sanctions on North Korea, in

response to its most recent intercontinental ballistic missile test.

The latest sanctions are the toughest yet, restricting Pyongyang's energy supplies and

earnings from workers overseas.
