DIY Edible Pudding Slime! - Duration: 5:34.

hey guys it's Hashtag Zoe and welcome back to my channel. so for today's video I'm gonna

be making, diy edible pudding slime. the things you will need are 1/4 a cup of pudding so

this is instant pudding mix I have vanilla and chocolate because I'm gonna

be making both because equality you're also going to need 1 cup of cornstarch

and 1/3 cup of warm water and that's literally all you need so I have my

water here and I have my cornstarch and I have my instant pudding mix and I have

my bowls my measuring cups and my spoons let's do it so this slime is actually

the first time I've made that's actually edible and I don't know how good it's

gonna be this is my first try making it so let's just hope for the best I will

try it after but well you're gonna have to wait and see till the end of video to

find out how good it tastes ok guys so I'm gonna be starting with the vanilla

one I feel like that would be nice let's do it ok so I'm just gonna take a

set of bag and you're gonna be needing 1/4 a cup of the instant pudding mix

this smells like cake batter ok guys I'm just gonna be pouring this in this is a

1/4 of a cup so we're just gonna be putting that into the bowl and then

you're gonna be needing 1 cup of cornstarch keep in mind guys that you're

not going to be using the entire cup of cornstarch at once you're gonna be kind

of pouring it in a little bit at a time so we're just gonna pour a little bit in

now then the final ingredient is just warm water so I have 1/3 cup in here and

we're gonna pour that in so now we're just gonna be mixing these ingredients

together

so now that it's like a chunky consistency we're gonna be adding some

more cornstarch and then mixing that in and so this is the same from the one

full cup before we're just adding it in small time okay so at first it's gonna

look really dry but it's not so don't give up keep doing it because on this

channel we never give up on our dreams so we're going to be adding the rest of

the cornstarch in here and then mixing it together and then once it's like kind

of forming one we're gonna be mixing it with our hands so now I'm just gonna be

picking it up and mixing it smashing it with my hands and you're just gonna have

to knead it for as long as you need I heard that it generally takes about

two to three minutes so that's what we're gonna do and I will let you guys

know a few moments later all right guys so I made the vanilla one and the

chocolate one the chocolate one is definitely a more wet if that makes

sense this one feels more like play-doh I made

them the same way so I don't really know maybe it's like the flavor difference

like the difference in the chemicals in the flavor I don't really know I'm not a

scientist but I know that these honestly feel really cool and this is DIY that I

fit in a hundred percent feel that so thanks

so I'm gonna roll this out and see the art I can make with it fun okay so I'm

making this very long because I'm gonna be making the pooh emoji but this

doesn't really look like an emoji right now so I'm just gonna try my best okay

okay guys I tried to make a pooh emoji but this does not look like the emoji at

all this is kind of this kind of looks like what my dog Malibu left in the

backyard that's all I have to say anyway let's make an ice cream cone now okay

guys so the next thing I'm gonna be making is a pudding slime ice cream cone

so I have a cone right here and I'm trying to use self-control and not eat

the cone I've ruled the chocolate one and the vanilla one out and now I'm just

gonna be twisting them together so it's swirl ice cream and then I'm gonna be

putting it on my code night so now I put some in and then I'm gonna make the top

swirly thing so it's gonna look really cool

okay guys so this is my slime pudding slime ice cream honestly this looks

really good I'm not gonna lie now I really want ice cream it's kinda going

sideways fix that I'm actually proud of this wait okay okay so I ripped this

little piece from the back and I'm just gonna take a taste test I put the two

together but it's putting it should be fine

it tastes like dough really with just a weird consistency I think the main

reason that this is made edible is because if you have like a young child

making this and they eat it on accident then it's fine it doesn't taste good but

if someone happens to eat it on accident then it's totally fine yeah so this is

Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase - Top Best 12 Games - Duration: 6:17.

hi everybody and welcome to get indie gaming earlier today March 20th Nintendo

revealed their latest nin DS direct showcase an event that functions in a

similar fashion to a standard Nintendo Direct although with a specific focus on

indie games from a number of publishers while perhaps not full of colossal

announcements in this video we cover what we think are the 12 best looking

games featured at the event in easy to digest bite-sized pieces in no

particular order and first up coming this summer fantasy strike looks like a

typical fighting game with players facing each other one on one with each

of them having their own skill sets and special abilities Nintendo described the

game as more of a strategy fighter than a classic button masher

which means players will need to learn how to put their skills to best used to

beat their opponents reigns and its sequel reigns Her Majesty will launch

like many others this spring and will come in a single package called reins

kings and queens the game will also pour across to the switch with a new co-op

offering that's a console exclusive using a tinder swipe left swipe right

mechanic you make decisions on how to rule your kingdom already out on a PC

Mac and mobiles we can see the combined package and co-op mode being a nice

little draw and becoming something of a cult hits for the console in what the

team behind messenger are calling an open love letter to the 8-bit and 16-bit

era with their chip tune and tight controls what we have here is set to be

an epic ninja adventure with a memorable cast of villains bosses and associates

naturally there's more than a passing to ninja gaiden here which suits us just

fine there's also an element of shovel knight about it too and we're very happy

to see this one coming to launch at some time this summer first launched in 2015

the Banner Saga series 3 will land on the switch this summer alongside the

original and its sequel Nintendo also announced the game will first launch on

a switch before going out to other platforms mixing turn-based tactical

combat with a multi-layered story the Banner Saga series 3 was successfully

funded by Kickstarter gaining more than $400,000 in March of last year the game

will feature over 40 characters permadeath and progress will carry on

from one game to the next in a surprise move to us our number

three game from our 2017 game of the Year awards west of loathing with its

tongue-in-cheek send up of the genre it portrays is coming to the Nintendo

switch in what was called on the livestream today as a system exclusive

we honestly love this one when we played it back on the PC and are very much

looking forward to stepping a foot back into it's awesome humorous and damn

right weird world set across more than a hundred levels pool panic is one giant

game of pool and comes from the team Iraqi and published by Adult Swim games

from the trailer it looks a fun and cartoony affair with lots of enemies and

holes will be able to pop them into this one another switch exclusive with four

local player co-op could well become a party game of choice at some point later

improbable traveling companions set off in a journey of adventure in what's

looking to be a highly promising co-op exploration puzzler mode is inspired by

a Norwegian art and culture and from the trailer looks to offer a beautiful

environment with captivating gameplay coming from henchmen and good mode is

slated as another spring launch while we said in no particular order one of the

most exciting announcements from today's show was the news that lumens remastered

is heading to the console with launch date sometime this coming spring with

the original creator back on board the game will make use of the joy cons and

their tactile feedback from their Rumble units as a puzzler this one first

launched back on the PSP in 2004 although we hope this new version here

will be as addictive and as downright fun as the original from the team at

tiny built games and apparently inspired by the era of gory straight-to-video B

movies of some time garages a top-down shooter set in a

gritty looking underworld again like many here today launching first on the

switch this spring the game features an ex-drug dealer protagonist who

accidentally stumbles into a secret world filled with monsters and mutants

it features interactive environments you can drive vehicles with each level being

filled with unique challenges and hidden secrets for the player to discover the

utterly stunning visual show that is light fall from bishop games will launch

as a timed exclusive on the console in it players will travel to the Forgotten

world of numbre in this 2d platformer inspired by games such as Super Meat Boy

limbo and Bastion we've already showcased like fall here on get indie

gaming and love the concept of the platforming together with its silhouette

art style and what appears to be a mysterious tale of intrigue from

plausible concept and raw fury bad north first got our attention at last year's

games calm where it is picked up by a number of national media outlets here in

the UK in bad north which is one of the most pretty looking isometric games

we've ever seen you alarm your troops shore up your defenses and protect the

people of your island against Viking invaders in this roguelike realtime

strategy game coming first to the switch this summer with bad north being the

last of our top 12 we can't help but wonder what else is coming to the switch

from indie studios in the forthcoming months some no doubt will be

disappointed that today's nin d directed n't offer any earth-shattering

revelations although that said there's plenty here to look forward to and get

excited over and with that we're out of time on this nin d direct showcase would

Macro Express Review & Tutorial (2018) - Duration: 10:38.

I'm gonna review a software program called Macro Express it's a must-have

desktop software program no macro expressed for smartphones or iPads

however it only works on a desktop. I've been using macro Express almost every

day since December of 2007 I use Macro Express many times during every business

day. Tt saves me time and effort, all the people that work for the Keyt Law firm

also use Macro Express on a daily basis. Let me give you a quick peek at Macro

Express, but say I have two closings that I like to put in my e-mails the first one

is a closing I use when I'm sending an email to somebody related to Arizona

LLC's and the second closing is a closing that I'd like to send to people

when I'm sending an email relating to wills and trusts and estate planning.

Without a program like Macro Express I've got to type this information and

that's a big pain in the neck. So let's look what I can do with Macro Express if

I want to send an e-mail that has my estate planning closing then I'm just

going to invoke the macro by typing the short code which is dot e CL OS e1 when

I do that then macro Express pops in the appropriate text for that short code. Now

let's say I wanted to send an email to somebody that's related to an LLC matter.

I enter the short code e CL OS e - and it pops in the text that's appropriate

for the email closing related to some matter dealing with LLC's. Stay with me

I'm going to give you a more in-depth look at Macro Express and how to use it,

and using software since 1984 I'm gonna review software today that I use in my

practice and in my business and it helped to make me more efficient

productive and profitable. you can learn more if you go to our KeytLaw YouTube

website is at key law com. You're probably asking what does Macro Express

do? let me give you a brief explanation and an overview and then we're gonna go

and watch Macro Express in action first thing it does is it memorizes and saves

your keystrokes by creating what's called a macro. A macro is an automated

input sequence that imitates keystrokes or mouse actions. The macro is typically

used to replace a repetitive series of keyboard and mouse actions. You give each

macro a unique name that invokes or starts the macro and then when the macro

is invoked the Macro Express program will replay those keystrokes that have

been saved in the macro file. Macro Express well for several reasons it

makes your digital life much easier it'll save you a ton of time it also

gives you consistent results and it eliminates typos or missing text. Now

let's go watch Macro Express in action. I'm gonna demonstrate Macro Express

using my gmail account I created a compose new email here on

the screen but Macro Express would also do the same thing on any program. If

you're running Word or Google Docs or Excel or PowerPoint or whatever when you

invoke the macro it's gonna replay the keystrokes that you've recorded in the

macro. So let's take for example let's say I need to enter my address and so

option number one is I can type out my name firm name and address and that'll

take just a little bit of time and there's always opportunity I may make

a typo, but instead I'm going to use Macro Express and I'm gonna invoke the

macro by typing dot seven three seven three

one. That's just a code that I created to create this particular macro so you can

see that it's got my name my firm name my address and I didn't have to type it

it was automatic. Let's say I want that same information on multiple

lines I can do dot seven three seven three two met pops in the information on

four lines you can see Macro Express has recorded my keystrokes and when I invoke

the short keys it replaced those keystrokes in the program that I happen

to be in so that shows you how you can save a lot of time and also be

consistent you don't have to worry about making typos. So let me show you a few

other macros here let's say that I wanted to insert the date I've got a

macro called dot DTE and it pops in today's date I have another macro called

dot dat e.t IME and it pops in the date and the time in the format that you see

on the screen, but check this out let's say I want to write an email to

somebody and I'm gonna give them some marketing material that I've created for

my LLC formations so I can type dot LLC Li NK instead of having to reinvent the

wheel and type this all from scratch and waste time figuring out what to link to

and worrying about typos and things like that the macro just repeats everything

that I previously saved into the macro so it can save you a ton of time by

remembering the keystrokes that you create you give it a shortcut name and

then whenever you want to repeat those keystrokes in any program you just

invoke the macro by typing the shortcode. Now let's go watch how you make a

macro using Macro Express. I've got the Macro Express program open on the screen

and on the right column you can see all the macros that I've previously created

for this particular version of Macro Express now look if this one calls seven

three seven three - I'm gonna just show you briefly how

easy it is to edit an existing macro. I open up the macro and here's the

information that's going to be put on the screen when I invoke the macro so if

I want to edit anything I just go in here and edit and then click OK and then

click on save, but let's go back to the main screen but first you go up to the

top and select wizard and then you select text I'm gonna make a text macro

there's other kinds of macros but the only ones I ever make are text so I want

to paste text or graphics into email or into a word document so I'm gonna click

paste text or graphics and select next on the bottom right then select next

again and I could select it from a text from a file but I never do that I always

select text because I'm gonna enter the text myself and then here's where we

enter the text so let's say I wanted to create a macro that puts my name into

the word document or the email so next once I've typed the text that I want and

formatted it the way I want I go down and select the next button and you have

choices here you could have a hotkey these are the choices on how to invoke

the macro hotkey would be like a ctrl + Alt + a that would cause the macro to be

invoked but I always use the shortcode or I always use the short key that

allows you to create a set of characters that you can use to invoke the macro. I

also have Macro Express configured that the characters have to be preceded by a

period or a dot so if I type LLC nothing's going to happen but if I type

dot LLC then the words limited liability company will be displayed on the screen

so once you select short key go down to the bottom right select next now you

have to create your short key I'm just going to call it X X X X. Now click the

next button. Now I always select play back in all programs but you could live

to play back in specific programs or only in specific windows click the next

button now you give it a nickname this is something that will appear in the

macro menu so it helps you to remember what the macro is all about so I'm just

gonna call it X X X X because I'm gonna delete this macro after we finish. Now I

click on the finish button and now if I go back to my document I can type dot X

X X X and there's the text that I just created in the wizard for this new macro

so that's how you use Macro Express on how you create us a macro. To purchase

Surviving Mars | 1st Game Starter Tips - Duration: 3:16.

- Hey guys, I've been playing Surviving Mars like nobody's business

since my livestream last Friday

and I thought I'd make a quick little video

going over some of the things I wish I had known

before starting my first game.

If this is your first time playing this game

play on the easiest mode available that's designed for first time players.

Choose the International Mars Mission as your sponsor.

The funding you receive is significantly higher than what the other sponsors provide

and this will allow you some much needed wiggle room

to learn the ins and outs of the game.

Avoid my livestream pitfalls,

Oh god! There's no water! I can't...and I ran out of probes?

Scan it, damn it!

With the Hydro Engineer Commander profile,

you'll start with a water deposit revealed.

Rename your first rocket but don't mess around too much with your first shipment of cargo

unless you are planning to land somewhere with a drastic resource disparity.

I recommend landing in the Elysium Beta site.

You'll experience what all the threats look like at a lower intensity,

metals & concrete are plentiful

and you'll have enough water to survive

plus the added help since you chose the Hydro Engineer Commander profile.

Land in an area where resources are within reach

and familiarize yourself the roles of your vehicles.

Your RC transport is your best friend.

Have it dig for metals & load and unload resources where you need them.

Keep your RC explorer busy discovering anomalies

and remember to recharge your battery using your power grid.

After you have a large solar panel & drone hub up and running,

build a concrete extractor right away.

You'll need concrete in order to have wind power

and you'll need it to pretty much build & maintain much of what you need.

Take advantage of Stirling Generators.

They pack a punch & have even more power when you open them up.

Pause your game to figure out where you want to place things

and remove/adjust the blueprints before they are built.

FYI, if you see a metals or rare metals deposit,

make sure you build your dome near it so your colonists actually have access to work in those buildings.

If you place buildings very close to a power cable it will automatically connect.

I really wish I knew this as I prefer to avoid large grids.

They require more maintenance & resources.

Don't let your buildings and power sources collect dust.

Request maintenance as soon as you can to avoid issues.

Why is there some random line here?

so you won't see a salvage button.

Hi I'm Mike and it's the 1st day of spring, although you might not know it if you look

outside and today we get to more of the spring time duties that are waiting for us, and when

I say dooty, I mean piles of it and its only the beginning, waiting for us on the project

list, on our Wyoming Life

Welcome to our Wyoming life, if you've been

here before, thanks for coming back and if you are new here, be sure to hit the subscribe

button and join us as we explore the ranch life and escape the ordinary.

Today we get a start on a job around there that needs done almost constantly, the removal

of manure.

We aren't going to be shoveling anything, not yet anyway, we will be using the tractor

today to start cleaning out the heifer corral, and we have to get going on it pretty quick,

because we actually have something we don't have to many of around here and that today

is a limited amount of time that we can actually work on it today.

More on that later though.

Also today, I am going to take you out with me as we check on our new arrivals here on

the ranch.

Our newest calves, the twins dubbed by Mackenzie as Thing 1 and Thing 2, she's been reading

Dr Suess lately and I'll give you one guess what her favorite book is.

We are going to take a look at the heifers calves up to this point and our surprise calf

in the field.

In addition, it's a leg day for the peacock today and we are going to head down in the

basement and put his prosthetic leg back on him after making a minor adjustment to it.

But as I said, the clock is ticking on our big project for today, cleaning out the heifer

corral and we need to get to it.

Today we are going to use the John Deere 6410 tractor, its currently equipped with a front-end

loader bucket and a box blade scraper on the back.

Let's get it going.

Ok, that is the lock for the garage door here in the sales barn, slid right out of there,

another thing for the project list later on, and hopefully not an omen on how today is

going to go.

Tick tock, time to go to work.

The reason we are in such a hurry to get started on this project is because its going to warm

up today and this inch or so of snow that we got last night is going to melt.

That water is going to make our corral soggy and driving around in there with a tractor

isn't such a good idea, we don't want to tear up the dirt any more than we have

to.

So we are going to try to get a chuck of this done this morning.

Once it gets too wet we will quit but for now the ground is still pretty solid and we

can get right to it.

Most of this material we will be removing from this corral today is straw bedding that

has been laid in here.

I didn't plan or build this corral but one of the bad things about it is that it is right

in the way of a bunch of drainage.

Every thaw we have causes snow to melt and water to move through here.

We don't want our heifers dealing with all that, so we have been constantly adding straw

and bedding material in here for them, building up a portion of the corral.

Now its time to get that out.

As they start to have their calves any material that can hold bacteria or even soak up excess

water isn't good for them.

Their moms will bed them down in this stuff but in reality, at this point I'd rather

have them on clean dry material.

Getting this out of here is the first step.

The heifers and their calves have been moved to our lower corral, a clean alternative to

this one for right now and that gives us the space to move and get this one cleaned out.

Theres not much to it, using the tractor we scoop and dump all the wet dirty straw into

piles.

These piles will be turned into compost to be used around the ranch and also spread on

hay fields, adding organic material back into the soil.

Each scoop of this bucket holds about 3 and 1/2 yards of material but what really matters

here is the weight, each full load of this wet heavy stuff can weight up to a ton and

moving it is careful work.

Any big bounces or jarring movements could actually break the loader, so slow is the

tempo.

Not the best thing to hear when you are trying to beat the clock.

As each load is moved we find plenty of still frozen junk underneath but that's ok.

Getting the straw and manure off the top will help it melt.

This will become my morning ritual for the next couple of days as we are expecting temperatures

below freezing at night and up into the 40s during the day for the next few days.

Eventually though the weather catches up to us.

I'm never going to complain about sunshine but there are days when I feel backwards wishing

it would stay cooler just a bit longer.

Its time to give up before we cause more damage to the ground that we will just end up having

to repair anyway and its time to head back and park this thing and move on to our next

project.

Calving season is upon us, although not much is happening right now.

Cows and even the heifers are holding on to their calves a little longer than we expected,

we cant really induce labor so it's a waiting game.

In the meantime we continue to check cows on a regular schedule, right now about very

4 hours during the daylight hours.

I check them all again about 10pm and then they are on their own until first light.

As we move into more active calving that will turn into every 4 hours all day and night

long, and sometimes even more frequent if we have bad weather.

Fun times.

Our newest set of calves are the twins, Thing 1 and thing 2.

They were both born 5 days ago and I'm happy to say are doing well.

They have been with their mom this whole time and she has been able to take care of both

of them.

They started out in the barn and now we allow them to wander in the corrals and alleys.

We weren't quite sure about her ability to take care of both of them and I don't

think I would trust her out to pasture, but here in the corral where she cant wander too

far from them everything seems fine.

Keeping them both with her in the corral saves us money on milk for them that we would have

to purchase.

Not far from them are the heifers and their calves.

Still sitting at 3, the oldest now 16 days old.

All of them are healthy and happy, full of spit and vineagar.

Out in the pasture we have our last calf of this season so far, her and her mom are both

doing great.

6 calves so far out of 160 some we are expecting, a small dent has been made but we still have

a long ways to go and I hope you are here with us as we move forward.

The last thing on our list for today is to get the peacocks leg back on him, a couple

of months ago he lost a portion of his leg to frostbite.

A viewer came forward with a solution and printed him a prosthetic leg which we have

been training him on for a while now.

He wears the leg for a couple of days and then we take it off and give him a break for

couple of days.

Today its time to put it back on him, but first we are going to modify it just a bit.

The toes on the foot of the leg are a little long, he tends to trip over them when he walks

so we are going to first measure his toes on his other foot and then match the length

on the prosthetic.

Its plastic so we can use a grinder to take off about a half and inch on each toe, hopefully

giving him a little bit more comfortable walking experience.

When its time to put the leg back on him he is pretty calm about it, he has gotten used

to putting it on and taking it off and he just lays right now for me to get him put

together.

Originally when we put on the leg we used zip ties to hold it on his stub, then we tried

Velcro straps, which didn't really work, the leg tended to slip around too much and

would loosen over time, so for now we are back to the zip ties while we figure out a

better solution.

Another issue that we are dealing with is the fact that he sometimes gets a little too

comfortable with the new leg and tries to fly with it on, which I don't think is too

much of a problem for him, aside the fact that he is in a room and not outside.

Landing seems to be the hardest part with a fake leg, and he tends to wipe out each

landing.

That's another thing we are going to have to address when we move him from the basement

back out to the real world.

After getting his new leg on, then he normally takes a few minutes to adjust to it again.

He will just stand like a statue and not move too much as he remembers how it feels and

what it does.

But soon he is ready to go, but this time not gracefully.

And not with good results.

After flying away, he landed on his new leg and the force snapped it into two pieces.

That was short lived today, and I guess we are going back to the drawing board to make

a more sturdy leg for him, and maybe a better way to attach it.

But he is fine, unhurt and ready to find his girlfriend, who is now his roommate, we might

have to perform a little marriage ceremony.

That's is for today, of course there is still plenty to do but we got a good start

on getting the corral cleaned out.

One more morning on it and I can have it done and we can start Erin's composting project,

which she is going to definitely need.

Calving will continue, soon hopefully and we hope that you are able to continue to join

in one day and I'm sure we will break that.

• The Chilean strawberry grew large fruits, but could only grow a few berries per plant

and was relatively fragile.

• Both plantswere migrated to France in the 1700s, where they were cross-bred into

a hybrid variety.

That resulting cross-breed is the common ancestor of probably every strawberry you've ever

eaten.

7 – Cucumber • The wild cucumber is related to the domestic

variety… except that the wild cucumber isn't at all edible.

• Wild cucumbers still exist, and unlike their oblong, fleshy cousins that we grow

in our gardens, wild cucumbers are just big, spiky seed pods that are effectively weeds.

There is no juicy flesh in the middle at all.

• The middle of the wild cucumber is four seeds in two pods, held in place by some stringy

vines.

6 – Carrot • Historically, the wild carrot is a tiny,

yellowish-white forked root that takes two years to fully cultivate.

• Through selective breeding and domestication, the carrot is now a huge, single orange root,

that grows annually.

• Without that domestication, there is basically no way humans could actually eat them, as

they were far too small, and the biannual growing season would never have been worth

it.

5 – Pumpkins • Pumpkins are like avocados, in that they

adapted to a world with gigantic mammals roaming around more than 10 thousand years ago.

• Most pumpkins – as well as squash and other gourds – were hard, softball-sized,

and unfit for human consumption at the time.

Many were actually toxic.

Only larger mammals like mammoths could stomach the toxicity.

• Humans actually started cultivating pumpkins as containers and floatation devices.

It wasn't until centuries later that they started breeding the toxicity out of them

and using them as a food source.

4– Kale • Kale, broccoli, brussels sprouts and cauliflower

are actually all descended from a common ancestor – cabbage.

• A wild cabbage grown in Greek and Roman gardens 2 thousand years ago was cross-bred

and mutated into a number of different varieties.

• Cabbages with large flower buds resulted in broccoli and cauliflower.

Genetic changes over time turned cauliflower white, and gave broccoli a long stem.

• Kale results from a mutation in that ancient cabbage that gave the plant long, curly leaves.

Farmers isolated that mutation and started breeding cabbage that showed that particular

characteristic.

• The result of those ancient farmers isolating that genetic mutation was the plant we now

know as kale.

• So technically, kale is, by definition, one of the world's oldest GMO foods.

3 –Grapefruit • The original grapefruit dates back to

Barbados in the 17th century.

The sweet orange and pomelo were both introduced to the region from Asia around the same time,

and they cross-pollinated, creating the hybrid fruit that was the grapefruit.

• But those early grapefruits had white or light pink flesh.Most of the red grapefruit

you eat is literally an INVENTION.

• The "Ruby Red" grapefruit was simply a marketing term, that was granted a patent

in 1929.

• Later versions of the grapefruit were made sweeter and redder by forcefully mutating

them with ionized radiation.

2 - Eggplant • The eggplant – the actual one, not the

emoji – has some pretty uniform characteristics.

It's oblong, dark purple or black, and relatively thick.

• But historically, they used to come in a variety of colors, like white, blue, lighter

shades of purple, and even yellow.

• They were much, much smaller, and they had a "spine" running through the fruits,

not unlike an apple core.

1 - Bananas • Bananas are one of the earliest cultivated

fruits, dating back to about 8,000 B.C.

• And even back then, they knew how to use selective breeding to grow fruits that were

easier to eat.

• See, the wild banana was short, green, and absolutely PACKED with seeds, making it

impossible to eat the way we eat bananas today.

• Through thousands of years of cultivation, the seed content was reduced, and the fruit

size increased, eventually resulting in the bananas we know

and love today.

Making Shepherd's Pie Mac and Cheese for SORTEDFood - Duration: 7:43.

Hi guys, and welcome back to FoodTube, a series where I make dishes

for some of my favorite channels here on YouTube,

and today I'm making shepherd's pie mac and cheese

for the lads of SORTEDFood.

SORTEDFood is a London-based YouTube channel

comprised of five different dudes,

two of them chefs, and the other three are,

as they describe it, normal people.

The guys make so many different amazing food series;

I really love their Ultimate Battle series, where they

compete to create three different versions of the same dish,

and I also love their Level Up videos, where they take a regular dish and make

it just that bit fancier.

I figured the boys would appreciate me trying

a new take on a traditional dish, and since they are a London-based YouTube channel,

I figured I'd simultaneously destroy shepherd's pie and mac and cheese.

I apologize in advance for crudely mashing these two comfort foods together;

I can only hope this doesn't turn into a paella burrito situation. [Sips tea]

I'm going to start by making the mac and cheese, which will serve as the bottom layer of the filling

for our shepherd's pie.

This is an Alton Brown recipe, and holy shit,

this is possibly the best mac and cheese I have ever tasted in my life.

it's a little bit more effort than normal people would I think want to go through

for mac and cheese, but my god. It's so...good.

All right, that's our mac and cheese done, and now I can move on to our shepherd's pie filling.

So, this is another Alton Brown recipe, I feel a little guilty about that because

I feel like truly I should have used a Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsay recipe for

shepherd's pie, but I also thought - "Okay, well...might as well use two recipes from

the same person if I have any chance of making this maybe somewhat cohesive?"

...I don't know.

The shepherd's pie filling is done, and now I can move on to the final step of

making the mashed potatoes.

I'm just gonna say it right here, I need a way better potato masher,

this thing is kind of a piece of shit, and I got way too tired and way too sweaty

to properly mash these things, so I'll just admit to that right now.

Now that everything is done, we can actually assemble our layers

and put the shepherd's pie in the oven.

We'll start with the mac and cheese layer

then add our lamb

and finally the mashed potatoes.

I totally should have made more mashed potatoes,

but, um...whatever. Mistakes were made.

And there it is, our shepherd's pie mac and cheese,

sorted.

I'm sorry it doesn't look very attractive, I wish it was prettier, but oh well.

It does however taste great, but I think that

truly the components would just be better separately.

The recipes by themselves are great, but I think when they're just gracelessly shoved togther

in one casserole dish, it doesn't really work, which is really no surprise to anyone here.

However, I didn't think it was kind of like a funny idea, and...I don't know,

this is some fuckery on the level of a paella burrito, so...[laughs]

That said, SORTEDFood is absolutely one of my favorite

channels here on YouTube.

I actually got to meet Barry and Ben at VidCon last year

during a creator chat, which was a lot of fun.

I got to ask some questions, including a question which I think is somewhat

relevant to this video, in which I said to them, I'm only one person, I can't -

I don't have a lot of time, I can't test recipes and then film them.

When I film it, it's my first shot doing it essentially....you know, and so f*ck-ups happen!

You know, do I cut my losses and scrap that, or do I show it to people anyways?

And they said that they sort of try to embrace when things go wrong.

They actually very recently had a video where they just said it was a total hot mess

and they fully admitted it, but they put the video out anyways -

So I guess at times that doesn't make me feel quite so bad

Even if this shepherd's pie casserole thing didn't quite work out.
