Waching daily Jun 29 2018

This lessons about some very common and really useful words.

Much and many.

And 'a lot of' and 'lots of'.

We'll show you how we use them with countable and uncountable nouns.

And we'll also give you a tour of our deck.

Our deck?

Yeah.

You'll love it.

We live in Philadelphia in a small house with lots of stairs.

There are four floors and then on top, we have a deck, so there are 5 floors really.

You have to climb up 56 stairs to get to the deck.

56?

Yes I counted them.

Well it's worth it.

We have a lot of fun up there.

Let's take a camera up and we'll shoot some video.

Upstairs?

Yes!

And you can bring a light too.

Pww.

This is our deck.

We often have dinner up here in the summer.

There are a lot of stairs in this house.

Yes.

This is our view.

We're in the middle of the city so there are lots of skyscrapers.

And there's lots of noise out here.

Well yes.

There's lots of traffic.

Behind those buildings is the Philadelphia Museum of Art and on July 4th there's a

big fireworks display there.

We can see the fireworks because they go up above the buildings so we're going to have

a little party and invite some friends over to watch.

Now, we haven't invited many people because, well, there isn't much space here.

But we can cook up here.

This is Jay's grill and it's ridiculously large.

No, it's not.

It's perfect.

How many hamburgers can you cook on this grill?

28.

And how many people can we seat at the table?

Six.

Exactly.

It takes up too much room.

It's dirty too, Jay.

You need to clean it.

But it's so much work.

How much gas is in the tank?

Let me check.

Ah.

There isn't much, but I have another tank downstairs.

Well if you go and get it, I'll show everyone the kitchen.

Come with me.

There used to be a cupboard here but we took it out and built a little kitchen with a sink

and a little fridge.

There isn't much room, but we can keep cold drinks in here.

Hmm.

We don't have much beer, but I'll get some more before the party.

There are too many stairs in this house.

Well done.

Come and sit down and have a beer.

Oh, thank you.

Happy July 4th everyone.

Happy 4th.

OK.

You heard lots of examples of these words and phrases.

Let's start with 'a lot of'.

We use it to talk about a large number or quantity, and we use it with plural countable

nouns and uncountable nouns.

Another phrase we use is 'lots of'.

We're in the middle of the city so there are lots of skyscrapers.

And there's lots of noise out here.

Well yes.

There's lots of traffic.

'A lot of' and 'lots of' mean the same thing.

Lots of is a little more informal, but it's the same.

We can make our positive sentences into negatives.

That works.

Or we can make them into questions.

That works too.

Now, I have a question.

Can you say: 'There are many skyscrapers' or 'There is much traffic'?

Technically yes, because many and much mean 'a lot of'.

BUT we don't.

These sentences sound strange and unnatural and formal.

You don't want to sound like that.

To sound natural say 'a lot of' or 'lots of' in positive sentences like these.

Written English is a little different.

Let's look at an example.

So this is written English, and it's fairly formal.

Here's what we'd probably say, if we were speaking.

A lot of people like to visit their family for the July 4th holiday.

So lots of Americans spend a lot of time traveling.

So positive sentences – say 'a lot of' or 'lots of'.

Only say much and many in negative sentences and questions.

There isn't much room, but we can keep cold drinks in here.

Hmm.

We don't have much beer.

These are negative sentences and I said much.

Notice the word room.

It's not a room like a living room or a bedroom in a house.

It's a different meaning.

Room means space here and it's an uncountable noun.

With uncountables like room and beer, say much.

With countables, say many.

Now, we haven't invited many people because, well, there isn't much space here.

People is an irregular plural.

One person, two people.

So it's many with countables, like people and much with uncountables, like space.

Let's look at some questions now.

How many hamburgers can you cook on this grill?

28. And how many people can we seat at the table?

Six.

How much gas is in the tank?

Let me check.

Ah.

There isn't much.

If you're asking about countables like hamburgers, ask how many.

And if it's uncountable, like gas, ask how much.

Now I have another question.

We normally only use much and many in negative sentences and questions.

BUT, are there any exceptions?

Are there any positive sentences where we say much and many?

Yes, there are, and you heard some.

It takes up too much room.

It's dirty too, Jay.

You need to clean it.

But it's so much work.

There are too many stairs in this house.

We can use the phrases 'too much' and 'too many' and 'so much' and 'so

many' in positive sentences.

That's the exception.

And that's it.

Wow Vicki.

That was 'a lot' of grammar.

Yeah, I hope it wasn't 'too much'.

If you liked this video please share it with 'lots of' friends.

And I have a question for everyone.

What's that?

Do you have a deck?

Tell us in the comments below.

What's it like?

Or do you have a garden?

She means a yard.

We don't have a garden but we love our deck.

Yes and I can't wait for the fourth of July.

Bye-bye everyone.

Bye.

Haunted Places | The Headless Bride Of The Old Faithful Inn | A Haunting In Yellowstone - Duration: 5:04.

hey guys welcome back or welcome if you are new today we will be continuing on

with our haunted location series and we will be talking about the headless Bride

of the Old Faithful Inn while Yellowstone does have a lot of tales of

ghosts and haunted places the headless bride of the Old Faithful Inn is by far

the most well-known so over many many years there have been a ton of sightings

of a woman dressed all in white carrying her head under her arm walking down the

crow's nest in the Old Faithful Inn now there is a local legend about where this

spirit that haunts the inn comes from and it's actually a pretty disturbing

story so as the legend goes back in 1915 there

was a very wealthy man who owned a shipping company and he had a daughter

who was a rebel she wanted to be a modern woman so she didn't want to go

for an arranged marriage with another wealthy family instead she had fallen in

love with one of their servants and she wanted to marry him now the father was

completely against this marriage from the start he felt that this man was just

a gold digger he was just out to get the family's money he tried to convince his

daughter of this but she wouldn't budge she was stubborn and she had made up her

mind that she was going to marry this man but the father devised a plan he was

going to give them a large sum of money but after that they would be cut off

completely to the family fund and they were to leave New York forever but

unfortunately the couple agreed to this deal and they left New York and headed

down to what was supposed to be the hottest vacation spot the Old Faithful

Inn now unfortunately it didn't take very long for this man to start showing

his true colors his true motive and that her father had

been right all along he blew through all their money and only

a matter of months on booze and gambling now it is said that the maids would hear

a whole lot of screaming and arguing coming from room 127 the couple was

clearly no longer happy so the maids tried to leave the couple alone now one

night things got even worse there was a huge explosive fight between the couple

and the man actually just barged out of the hotel never to be seen again now the

hotel staff felt very sorry for the bride so they decided to give her some

space and not bother her for a few days till things kind of calmed down but

after several days of not seeing the bride come out of her room they decided

to go and take a peek and check on her now sadly when they opened that door it

was a gruesome sight it looked like a hurricane had hit the room and then on

top of that the bride's head had been cut off and was missing now after

several days hotel guests started complaining about a foul odor coming

from near the crow's nest in the hotel so the staff decided to investigate and

lo and behold they found the bride's severed head at the top of the crow's

nest ah so that is the tale of the headless bride that haunts the Old

Faithful Inn in Yellowstone so I don't know about you but that to me is kind of

a sad story I mean the poor girl just she thought she had found love and

it turned out that her father was right all along and that this man was just

after her for her money and that to me is just so tragic and sad and I find it

so sad that not only did he steal all of her money but he murdered her instead of

just he could have just left so I don't know

if any of y'all have visited the Old Faithful Inn and gotten to see the

headless bride if you have then I would love to hear your experiences down in

the comments section below and also if you have any haunted locations that you

would like for me to talk about on here please also feel free to put those

suggestions in the comment section below okay so that's all for today's video if

you enjoyed it please hit that like button and subscribe to my channel and

hit that Bell notification so you never miss a video thanks for watching guys

dōTERRA: GETTING PAID 🌿 How to earn an essential oils living - Duration: 4:02.

so there are five ways you get paid in doTERRA the first way is retail sales

this is when you write in oils and someone wants to buy it out of you

you make 25% off everything that you sell retail from your wholesale discount

the second way you get paid is faster so tariff is something really cool when you

find anyone else with a wholesale memberships you make 20% of anything

they purchase for the first 60 days and the person who signed you up makes 10%

and the person above that makes 5% third way that you can get paid is your power

of three bonus this way is really cool cuz it is just a bonus when you have

three people underneath you all making up your dollar lrp order in your total

volume equals 600 note Aaron just gives you a fifty dollar bonus and with those

three people have three people that are also doing the same thing you get 250

and when those people also have three people all ordering a hundred dollars on

the loyalty rewards program doTERRA gives you a fifteen hundred dollar bonus

and that's on top of everything else you're already making now the fourth way

you can get paid is your unilevel bonus this really adds up as you've been doing

Carrie longer so what do Tara's ads is that they're gonna pay you on seven

levels of all the totals fails on everyone underneath you now something

that the chair has done that's a little bit different than any other company if

they actually pay the least amount on the people closest up to you and the

most on the people down below so you can imagine what slowly happens after you've

been doing this for a few years you're gonna be you wider and have more people

further down in your organization that you're making 7% on instead of flip flop

the reason why they do this is number one if you stick with this you have such

a greater earning potential in number two it really fosters team-building why

would you not want to help your team out by placing people underneath them

because the percentage you start to make gets higher as you put more people down

now the fifth way you can get paid is the leadership pulls this happens after

you hit the rings of silver which is considered the first leadership rank in

doTERRA what doTERRA does is a gap rub all the sales and they split it between

the advocates at certain rim so once you need those leadership rings you'll make

an extra bonus just because of the sale company and what's really great about

that is that it really helps promote you wanting to see everyone be successful to

Tara even if they're not on your team because everyone gets a percentage of

how well the company is doing so those are the five ways that you get to know

Tara you can email me - hello at Jewel in Tacoma if you have any questions at

all otherwise reach out to your upline or the person who signed you up if you

have any questions about how to get paid you don't have to apply Mia and we were

more than happy to help you get started and help you tap into all of our

resources we have for building in a successful business with doTERRA

my mommy really well thanks to it make sense I didn't know this is fascinating

isn't it okay well after the tree

Can Trump Pardon Himself? | We The Internet TV - Duration: 2:32.

Can the president pardon himself?

Rudy Giuliani said Donald Trump could shoot James Comey and pardon himself for it.

Because there's nothing in the constitution that explicitly bars a president from doing just that.

Hi, I'm Dax Baker, and I'm pretty sure I just aced the bar exam.

You're looking at Rudy Giuliani's number one law clerk,

and I'm here to clear up any confusion you might have with Rudy G's statement.

Could the president really saunter up to James Comey, put a .45 to his chest, pucker his lips,

pull the trigger, and pardon himself for it?

Yes he can!

And here are some other hypothetical situations that Donald Trump can technically get away with

according to our legal theory.

Not killing James Comey, but just keeping him wounded, locked up in a dark, damp basement,

slowing draining the life out of him hour by hour...

Self-pardon baby!

Let's keep the hypothetical train a-moving.

President Trump has been gifted Tuscan cooking classes from the Italian ambassador to America.

And he sears off James Comey's arms, legs, and tongue for the meat.

Braised for 30 minutes at 450 degrees.

Sylvester Stallone will never know the difference.

Mmmm, that's a tasty pardon!

Now what about this bad boy hypo:

Trump leaves a mute, limbless Comey stranded miles from civilization

at the peak of summer in the sweltering Mojave Desert.

Jim's cries are in vain as he slowly starves to death.

Too hot to pardon? Not according to our legal theory!

'Cause we pardon all day and we pardon all night.

President Trump tracks down Comey's remains, skins the corpse, and wears it as a suit.

He lives Comey's life, develops a deep bond with his children, and stabilizes a once-rocky marriage.

You know that's a pardon!

It's 2042.

Experimental government facilities have been growing thousands of James Comey clones for decades,

used as disposable vessels to harvest organs for the American population in perpetuity.

To the point where any expendable human being is referred to as "A Comey."

That's a one-way flight to Pardon City, playa!

Thanks for watching, guys!

Can you think of anything else that President Trump could pardon himself for?

Because he has some ideas for you.

JBugs - 1971 VW Super Beetle - Engine Tin Disassembly - Duration: 7:32.

Hi, I'm Sam with JBugs.com

When we first obtained our 1971 Super Beetle, the engine was locked up,

or more correctly, would only spin over partially.

We suspect that a nut or bolt has dropped down into the cylinder,

but we won't know for sure until it's disassembled.

After the engine is pulled, the oil is drained. The engine is de-greased, cleaned, and is now mounted to our engine stand.

Our engine is a nearly all original 1600cc dual port doghouse unit,

with all the original sheet metal in place.

We start with the removal of the rear engine tin which was pulled to drop the engine from the car,

but reinstalled for cleaning and storage.

The left and right pre-heat tins are unbolted from the cylinder shrouds,

and the rear engine tin is unbolted from the left and right cylinder shrouds and removed.

The front engine tin is unbolted from the left and right cylinder shroud and behind the fan shroud, and set aside.

Next, the exhaust is removed by disconnecting the intake manifold heat riser pipe,

from the rear exhaust ports at the number two and number four cylinders.

The muffler-to-head-nuts are un-threaded from the same exhaust ports.

The muffler to heater box clamps are removed from both heater boxes.

Our clamp hardware is excessively rusted and ended up snapping while being loosened.

A pair of pliers was used to twist the clamps off.

With the rusted clamps removed, we can pull the muffler off the engine and heater boxes, and throw it away.

Now the heater boxes can be removed by un-threading the nuts at the number one and number three exhaust ports.

The heater boxes are unscrewed from the left and right heater channel tins.

The right side heater channel tin is a two piece unit to allow access to the thermostat.

That square portion is unscrewed from the engine case and set aside before removing the right side heater box.

The generator pulley nut is removed along with the front pulley half, so the generator belt can be removed.

The pulley half and nut are reinstalled so they don't get lost.

Now, the crank pulley bolt is un-threaded which is easy to do seeing as how our engine won't turn over.

A flywheel lock can be used to keep the engine from turning over.

A crank pulley puller is slid in place, onto the pulley,

and threaded down to the crank shaft to pull the crank pulley off.

The breast plate pulley tin and left and right lower cylinder tin are removed next,

by un-threading the screws at the engine case,

on the left

and right cylinder shrouds.

The fuel hose is removed from the carburetor,

and the fuel pump,

along with the inlet hose and line to the fuel pump.

The spark plug wires are removed from the distributor and coil.

The coil and bracket are removed from the fan shroud,

along with the reverse light fuse holder bracket.

Next, the distributor clamp bracket nut is un-threaded from the engine so the distributor can be pulled.

We can't in our engines case but ideally whenever you're removing a distributor from an engine,

spin the engine to top dead center on number one cylinder then remove the clamp and distributor together.

This keeps your timing correct when you're ready to install the distributor,

and helps set initial timing when installing a new distributor.

The carburetor is removed from the intake manifold,

and the generator strap is loosened from the stand.

The left and right intake manifold nuts are un-threaded from each head.

The intake manifold center section nut is loosened at the center of the case.

The intake manifold boot clamps are loosened,

so the left and right intake manifolds can be removed from the heads.

Next, the four bolts on the generator backing plate are un-threaded from the fan shroud,

and the four nuts from the generator stand are un-threaded.

The left and right fan shroud,

to the cylinder shroud bolts are removed from either side of the fan shroud.

Underneath the engine, the thermostat bracket is unbolted from the bottom side of the engine case.

The thermostat is unbolted from the bracket.

The bracket is removed.

The thermostat is un-threaded from the push rod.

On the back side of the fan shroud, the bolt for the oil cooler duct is removed,

along with the bolt from the fan shroud to the oil cooler bolt,

and the top oil cooler duct is removed.

The exit ducting tin bolt can be un-threaded and the duct can be removed.

The fan shroud can be lifted up a bit so the generator backing plate and fan can be removed,

followed by the generator stand and the intake manifold center section.

The two nuts for the fuel pump are un-threaded so the fuel pump can be removed,

along with the fuel pump drive rod

and the fuel pump flange.

Our flange took a bit or persuasion with some light taps from a hammer

and when the flange did come free, it was in two pieces.

The piece still inside the engine will be tapped out with a screwdriver,

broken up inside the case,

and poured out by flipping the engine over.

VW made the flange out of plastic so that if it did break, the smaller pieces inside the engine will be relatively harmless.

On the back side of the fan shroud, the thermostat return spring is unhooked from the linkage tab crossbar,

and the crossbar is unclipped from the left and right fan shroud flaps.

The fan shroud can be lifted up from the engine, being cautious of the thermostat rod running down,

through the right cylinder head.

The linkage cross bar and spring are reinstalled for safe keeping.

On the bottom side of the engine, the heater channel tins are unscrewed from the engine case,

and from the left and right cylinder shrouds.

Our right side screws were stubborn and one would not be removed.

It came off with the cylinder tin after the tin was unscrewed from the head.

The left side channel is unscrewed and removed.

The oil cooler is next, which was more difficult than normal as the studs backed out of the oil cooler adapter.

The engine tear-down to a long block is complete,

but as we have spun this engine around a number of times on the stand,

we hear something loose in the engine.

We spin it over again and remove the sump plate to find a small piece of aluminum sitting in the oil pick up.

This is a prelude to what we will find in out next video,

where we will pull the heads and see what really happened to our engine.

Until then, head over to JBugs.com for all your vintage Volkswagen parts and accessories.

3 Hardest Game for 49ers (2018 Predictions) - Duration: 7:12.

Ayo! It's Bryan here. Today, going to be talking about the San Francisco 49ers as always.

Doing another Top 3 video. This time, covering the "hardest games"

for the 49ers in 2018. So, these are games in my opinion that when they come to

that week, it's going to be a very intense game and it's going to be very close. So,

that's pretty much what I mean by hard. Not really in terms of are they going to be

impossible to win. I believe the 49ers have a chance to beat every single team on

this schedule this year. Also, want to give a shout-out to Booty Bandit

for giving me to suggestion (nice name by the way) for this three difficult wins

that I think is going to happen for the 49ers. Before I get the video started,

please "Like" and Subscribe to support my channel as always. We're almost at 700

subscribers. So, thank you guys so much. You guys have been enjoying this Top

3 series from what I'm telling from the comments below. All the suggestions

that I've been getting feedback and what have you. Thank you guys so much!

Hopefully, I can get to 1,000 by football season, by the end of August. That'd be

pretty damn cool and yeah. Enough with the pleasantries, all that cool stuff.

Let's get the video started. The Top 3 "Hardest Wins" for the

49ers come 2018. Coming in at number three, I have the Green Bay Packers,

Monday Night Football. Now, pretty much the biggest reason why this game is

going to be hard is because of Aaron Rodgers. That's all I can say. One of the

great quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Top quarterback along with Tom Brady.

That's what everyone pretty much says on the quarterback echelon right now is

that Aaron Rodgers is one of the top quarterbacks if not the number one

quarterback in the NFL. I have to agree with that. When Aaron

Rodgers is on the Packers, they always have a chance to win no matter what and

they figured out last year that when he got hurt, they had no chance because

Brett Hundley did not really do a good job

backing up for Aaron Rodgers, which is kind of surprising because he's been in

the system for a couple of years now, but hey. He's not Aaron Rodgers. So, whatever.

They also got DeShone Kizer from the Cleveland Browns. Other people they got

was Jimmy Graham. That should be an interesting dynamic between him and

Rodgers. Maybe it's going to be a better system for him in Green Bay than it wasn't

Seattle for the past couple years because didn't really work out in

Seattle. Muhammad Wilkerson, the defensive line is with the Packers as well. So, that

should be interesting. Josh Jackson, the rookie cornerback. He's with the Packers.

We'll see if he can do a good job. I kind of talked about him before the

draft started. Maybe the 49ers were thinking about taking them, but they

ended up not taking him at all. We'll see what he could do in Green Bay. Good luck

to him. Really, the biggest reason is because of Aaron Rodgers and it's at

Lambeau Field. That should be very fun to watch. I don't know if the

49ers are acclimated to cold weather by the time this game happens,

but it should be pretty cold by then. If it's not, then I'm an idiot.

But anyways, Green Bay Packers? Talented team somewhat, but the biggest reason is Aaron Rodgers.

Coming in at number 2, I have the Minnesota Vikings, week 1. The

first game of the season at Minnesota. This should be a fun one. I don't know if

it's going to be like a tough, tough game. It's kind of hard to decide if it is, but

it's going to be a very close one just like the Packers game and the number one

thing that I will be mentioning in a little bit. The Vikings, they're a pretty

damn good team. Kirk Cousins as we all know. I mean, I'm pretty much going to regurgitate

everything I said for the games that I was excited for in 2018. Cousins

is there. They had some great additions to the team this year. Also, the defense

is pretty stout. Can't really say anything else. It's really Garoppolo versus

the defense. I want to see how Garoppolo can do in his first game of 2018. Can he

keep this momentum up, beating a very good Minnesota Vikings team? This is

pretty much a pivotal game for the 49ers I would say. If they lose this game, it

won't be a heart crushing season or whatever, but winning this game will

definitely, definitely help even more if they can do that. Really excited for this game.

Want to see Jimmy Garoppolo versus this tough defense and I want to see the

49ers defense led by Solomon Thomas, maybe Reuben Foster, I'm not sure.

Fred Warner, all those guys. See them face against Kirk Cousins' offense. That should

be pretty interesting. They have some very good targets. Excited to see

this game. It's going to be a very intense one I would say. It's going to be a

pretty damn close one. So, Minnesota Vikings? Tough team because of the

defense and also, our defense might be a little bit challenged the first week of

the season. Maybe, they're trying to get acclimated still to playing in the

regular season in real games. Going to keep it like that. Minnesota Vikings, tough

team. Before it gets to number one hardest team to play in 2018 for the

49ers, want to do an honorable mention real quick. I'm going to mention the LA

Chargers, week four. You're wondering. why are you putting the LA Chargers? They're

really not that good. Well, I guess you don't watch any football because the

Chargers are a pretty damn good team. They started really slow last year. I think

they started 0-4 and they had a lot of winning streak. Ended up going 9-7

and barely missing the playoffs, which is kind of disappointing because

they were a better team than the Chiefs in my opinion, but hey. What can you do

right? This defense just like the Vikings. This is a very good defense led by Joey

Bosa, which I was completely wrong about. I thought he was going to be a flop in the

NFL, but he's one of the best defensive lineman's in the NFL. Also,

Melvin Ingram is there, Casey Hayward. Like, this team is really loaded and not

just on defense, on offense as well. Philip Rivers is still a pretty damn

good quarterback, even up there in age. I'm excited to see this game as well. I

think this is going to be one of the dark horse games for the 49ers this

year. I'm surprised not a lot of people are talking about this game. They

should be because this should be a fun one in Los Angeles. I wish I could go to

that game, but I won't be in LA that time. Should be a tough one. Should be a

close one. Hopefully, the 49ers can eke out a win against this very good

Chargers team. We'll see if they can do that. So yeah. Los Angeles Chargers, should

be a good one. Coming in at number one as the hardest game for the 49ers in 2018

in my opinion is the LA Rams. I think everyone pretty much saw this.

It's not even because it's the LA Rams. It's because they're in our division.

If the Rams were not in our division, I would not put them at number one. I'd

probably put them at number three or even an honorable mention. Since they're

in our division, we have to play them twice a year. They are my number one squad and

if they (49ers) want to get past the NFC West, they have to beat this team. This is

really pivotal. They're going to be playing them in week seven on NBC at home. This

is a really fun one. This is going to be right after the Packers game. So, they got

really two tough prime time games. Hopefully, they can eke out wins in both of them.

I'm excited to see this game. I'm pretty sure you guys are excited to see this

game as well. It's more the week seven game that I'm really worried about

more than the week 17 because it's week 17. It's really far away.

Week seven, should be intense one. Sunday Night Lights, should be fun. Got Jared

Goff, Todd Gurley, Brandin Cooks now. So much targets on offense. Defense, we all

know Wade Phillips 3-4 defense with Aaron Donald and company. They are

looking loaded right now. Also the cornerbacks, wow. They got Aqib Talib

and Marcus Peters. Like that's freaking ridiculous on paper.

Maybe it might not work out. Hopefully, it doesn't work out, but I think it's going to

work out because Wade Phillips is a pretty damn good coach. Talib has

worked under him when they won the Super Bowl in Denver a couple of years ago.

So, yeah really. A loaded team. Excited to see what this game takes us to. Garoppolo vs. Jared Goff.

It was very close last year, even with Brian Hoyer as the quarterback,

but that was a very young Rams team. This Rams team is even more experienced. This

is the most anticipated game and I think this is going to be the most difficult game

for the 49ers just because they know each other well pretty much. Shanahan

vs. McVay. I mean, I can go on and on with the matchups for this game between

these two awesome teams. You know, I kind of have some love for Los Angeles

because I used to live in that area as well near Anaheim. I know they don't

play in Anaheim, but they used to play there back of the day. Going to keep it like

that you guys. Putting the Rams at number one because of a division rival. Should

be a good one. Please let me know what do you guys think are the toughest

games for the 49ers this year. I'd like to hear what you guys have to say. Put it in

the comments below. If you're not a fan of the 49ers. If you're just watching

this for whatever reason, let me know if you agree with my list if I mentioned

your team or if I didn't mention your team at all. That's cool. Please "Like" and

Subscribe, do whatever you with this and I'll be catching you guys up another time.

Bye guys. Love y'all as always. I hope you guys have a good day!

We May Have Just Found the Universe's Missing Matter - Duration: 5:10.

[♪ INTRO]

Dark matter, dark energy, there are all kinds of things in space

that we have yet to figure out.

But your real hipster astronomers don't worry about famous mysteries like that.

They worry about stuff like the missing baryon problem: the fact that around a third of the

regular, ordinary matter in the universe has refused to show up on any telescopes.

At least, until now.

In last week's issue of the journal Nature, an international team of astronomers reported

that they've finally found evidence of the missing matter.

Honestly, it was right where everyone expected it.

But it took decades of new techniques, new telescopes,

and new knowledge to finally find it.

We have lots of ways of figuring out how much stuff is in the universe.

For example, we can look at the Cosmic Microwave Background, the echo of the Big Bang whose

colorful pattern depends on the universe's early makeup.

Or we can see how quickly the universe expands, which depends partially on the gravitational

pull of all of its matter on all of the other matter.

We can also look at how quickly early structures formed.

The list goes on from there, but one of the greatest achievements of modern astronomy

is that all our independent measurements using different techniques

tell pretty much the same story.

Most of the universe is dark energy, a poorly-understood, nonstop pressure spreading apart space.

Then, most of the rest is dark matter, a kind of something that exerts a lot of gravity

but doesn't emit or absorb any light.

Finally, a measly 5% of the universe is ordinary matter, or baryonic matter, it's the kind

that we and the Earth and the stars are made of.

Everything we've ever seen or touched, all the countless stars and planets, all of that

is just 5% of what's out there, with the rest being stuff

that we fundamentally don't understand.

Except, there's also a problem:

We can't actually find a big chunk of that ordinary matter.

When we count up the matter in all the stars, galaxies, and gas clouds we can see and then

extrapolate, we find that ordinary matter makes up only about 3% or so of the universe.

That means around a third of it is missing from our observations: We know it's there

from all those other measurements, but we haven't seen it with our telescopes.

And this is just normal matter!

This is the stuff that should be relatively easy to find!

Astronomers have dubbed this "the missing baryon problem", where baryonic matter is

stuff made of protons, neutrons, and electrons.

Most physicists have a slightly different definition of baryon,

but this is the one many astronomers use.

So far, researchers have mostly assumed that the missing baryons are hidden in certain

immense filaments of gas that sit between galaxies,

generally known as the Intergalactic Medium, or IGM.

The IGM can be millions of degrees Celsius, but the gas in it is so sparse that it would

feel cold if you were in the middle of it.

Astronomers think that a huge fraction of the universe's mass is tied up in these

filaments, but the IGM is hard to investigate directly.

See, it's mostly ionized hydrogen, or hydrogen that has lost its one and only electron.

But atoms give off and absorb light when the arrangement of their electrons changes.

So if the hydrogen in the IGM has no electrons, it won't absorb or emit any light.

Which makes it really difficult to study.

Thankfully, research over the last few decades has also indicated that there should be a

tiny amount of ionized oxygen in the gas, too.

Oxygen starts out with more electrons than hydrogen, so when it loses some and becomes

ionized, it still has others left over.

So we can try to see it.

And from there, we can extrapolate how much other stuff is in those filaments of the IGM.

To find evidence of that miniscule amount of oxygen, the astronomers in this new paper

used the European Space Agency's XMM-Newton, an orbiting X-ray telescope that can see the

kind of light that interacts with ionized oxygen.

But there's so little oxygen in the IGM that it doesn't just shine like a star;

you need a huge flashlight lighting it up.

For this team, that flashlight was a distant type of quasar sitting conveniently

far behind the gas.

These are objects powered by black holes that emit tons of radiation, more than many galaxies.

They looked at the quasar for about 18 days total over the course of two years, and all

their observations told them that some of the its light was getting absorbed by the

IGM's oxygen on its way to Earth.

Based on how much light was absorbed, and how much oxygen we think is in the IGM compared

with other elements, the team concluded that there's exactly enough matter in the IGM

to account for the missing baryons.

Even with two years of observations, though, this isn't the end of the mystery.

The team admits that there's still a lot of uncertainty, and that we need to look at

more filaments of IGM before the problem will truly be solved,

just in case this gas is an anomaly.

But this paper does show that there's a light at the end of the tunnel and that our

hypotheses are on the right track.

And once the missing baryon problem is solved, we'll just need to figure out

the other 95% of the universe, and we'll be all set!

5 THINGS SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DO EVERYDAY - Duration: 7:01.

Almost everyone wants to be successful, right?

So then why isn't everyone successful?

The answer isn't a simple one, and there are numerous circumstances that determine the

obstacles and opportunities one faces in life.

Which country you are born in, whether you have access to a good education, and the resources

available to you via family and friends, are all factors.

But then what about attitude and behavior?

Can the way we think and act also influence our chances at success?

That's what we'll be looking at today, in this episode of The Infographics Show:

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

In his best selling 1937 book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill said the following: "You

are the master of your destiny.

You can influence, direct and control your own environment.

You can make your life what you want it to be."

This book has inspired millions of people since, and by 2015, more than 100 million

copies had been sold worldwide.

But while the book's title hints at increasing income, Hill insists that his philosophy can

help people succeed in any line of work, to do and be anything they can imagine.

The way you think and act has a major influence on the direction your life takes.

We've researched what some of the experts such as Tony Robbins have been saying, as

well as looking at websites such as, entrepreneur.com and success.com to come up with 5 strategies

that give you the best chance at success.

Let's take a look.

5.

Manage your state - Your state, simply put, is how you feel in the moment.

You can be the most talented person in the world, but if you are in a disempowered emotional

state, you will not be able to achieve the things you want to.

This could include feeling uncertain, fearful or overwhelmed, which are all states that

are likely to lead to failure rather than success.

People who are successful tend to hold a mindset that encompasses clarity, courage, conviction,

certainty, confidence, and passion.

And by remaining in these states the majority of the time, you will be better equipped to

handle the hurdles that you encounter in daily life.

Of course this is not easy to maintain all of the time, but eating healthy food, drinking

plenty of water, keeping a regular exercise routine, and getting enough sleep, will all

help with maintaining a healthy state of mind.

4.

Set the right goals – Goal setting helps us grow and expand, pushing ourselves to transform

in ways that we maybe never imagined.

If you set your goals too high, then you may never reach them, but equally, if you set

them too low, you'll achieve them too easily and feel uninspired.

So awareness and understanding of your goals is vital in supporting your journey to success.

You're much more likely to put time and energy into something that excites you, so

it's important to structure invigorating goals that make you want to leap out of bed

in the morning, ready to take the day on at full steam.

Goal setting requires visualization and planning.

A good way to set goals is as follows:

Find a quiet space to sit and contemplate.

Imagine a future where you've achieved your desired outcome.

Decide on the goals that will lead you there and list them out.

Write down an action plan to achieve each goal.

Review, and rework the plan every day.

3.

Find a good mentor - The mentor you choose is very important, particularly if your path

to success is with starting a new business or venture.

There will always be someone ready to offer their advice, and the world is full of people

who claim to be life coaches, business coaches, or success coaches.

But in many cases, they may not have walked the walk.

And on the flipside, rich people don't always make good mentors.

In the movie Wall Street, the character Gordon Gekko says, "Greed is good".

But ambition and passion, not greed, are good.

So if you're focusing on developing a new idea, finding the right mentor is very important.

Start by asking questions such as: Do they have relevant experience to support me?

Have they succeeded on multiple projects, or are they a one-hit wonder?

And are they practicing what they preach?

Don't rush to choose a mentor; meet with them to explore your business idea or project

so you can properly assess the value they can bring.

This could end up being the difference between financial success or disappointment and failure.

2.

Learn from Failure - Contrary to what you may think, failure can be more educational

than success.

In fact it's often the doorway to success!

It took Thomas Edison a thousand attempts before he successfully developed a working

light bulb prototype.

"How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" a reporter asked.

"I didn't fail 1,000 times," Edison responded.

"The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps."

But many of us avoid the prospect of failure, and too often we're so focused on not failing

that we don't aim high enough.

The good news is that some employers are no longer shying away from failure and instead

they're embracing it.

According to a 2016 article in BusinessWeek, many companies are deliberately seeking out

people with track records that demonstrate both failure and success, believing that those

who have been in the trenches have perseverance and more valuable experience that other team

members can learn from.

Failure teaches you in ways success can not.

It shapes you as a person and makes you resilient.

If we can cultivate a stronger relationship with failure, we can make success that much

more realistic.

1.

Embrace fear - Fear is a natural component of dealing with life and something we are

faced with, when ever we take on a new challenge.

If the path to success was clear-cut, then everyone would be successful and wealthy,

right?.

But it's not, and how you manage fear will determine how fast and how far you progress.

Having an idea to break away from your 9 to 5 job and starting a business can be one of

the best ways to become successful and to forge a fulfilling life.

But it's also one of the most frightening.

If you do decide to do your own thing, the common types of fears people have are: Not

knowing where to start, not being an expert, running out of money, not being believed in,

and failing before the business becomes a success.

These are all valid fears, but they need to be rationally dealt with, not emotionally

absorbed.

How do you tackle them?

Well, fear can be a motivator instead of something that holds you back.

And many of the things we've already mentioned in this episode will help to turn fear into

something that can propel you towards success.

So set good goals, stick to a plan, find a good mentor, and accept all failure as an

integral part of the learning process.

So, do you

have your own ideas or personal stories of success and achievement?

What If The Neanderthals Had Not Gone Extinct? - Duration: 3:51.

Around 400 thousand years ago, Neanderthals emerged in Europe.

They populated Europe and asia for 300 thousand years, until about 50 thousand years ago.

Many scientists theorize that Neanderthals were inferior to homosapiens in many ways,

and they competed with homo sapiens for limited resources.

This is what eventually lead to their extinction.

There were already very few Neanderthals on earth to begin with.

Estimates put their entire global population at 50 thousand at the height . But what if

Neanderthals and humans found a way to live amongst each other?

How would it change history and future generations?

Today, life's biggest questions asks, what If Neanderthals didn't go extinct?

Hello and welcome back to life's biggest questions.

I'm charlotte dobre.

Don't forget to like and subscribe and let us know in those comments a topic you would

like to see next.

Neanderthals looked like cavemen, in fact the stereotypical idea of a caveman comes

from Neanderthals.

They had big noses, pronounced brow ridges, big foreheads.

They had short legs and broad shoulders.

But that doesn't mean that they were all that different from us, and certainly doesn't

mean that they deserve the rep they've gotten as being stupid and having poor genes.

Homosapiens are 99.84 percent genetically identical to Neanderthals.

Not only that but Neanderthals had bigger brains than homo sapiens.

Intelligence isn't necessarily related to brains size, but I included this fact to make

the point that the brain of a Neanderthal likely operated in the same way as a homo

sapiens brain.

Somewhere between 51 thousand and 39 thousand years ago, Neanderthals and humans began to

live among each other.

Homo sapiens first arrived in Europe from Africa.

But the homo sapiens arrival in Europe also marked the downfall of the Neanderthals.

No one knows exactly why the Neanderthals went extinct.

But their extinction happened right around the time of the ice age, which leads many

scientists to believe that they could not adapt to the colder climate.

Another hypothesis is that homo sapiens passed on diseases to them that they were vulnerable

to because they didn't have good genes.

So, In order for Neanderthals to not die out, they would have had to refrain from breeding

with homo sapiens, which is something that they definitely did.

Yes I know it might be hard to imagine that homo sapiens could be attracted to Neanderthals,

but there is plenty of evidence to suggest that interbreeding did happen, so obviously

some were.

Either that or the breeding could have been the result of rape.

Back to my point, in order for Neanderthals to have remained separate from humans, they

would have had to refrain from mating with them.

Maybe they were driven into remote pockets by the advancing homo sapiens into Europe.

there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Neanderthals were just as smart as early homo

sapiens.

They had complex communities, culture, they cared for their sick, and had burial rituals

which means they could have been religious.

There is even evidence to suggest they practice early forms of dentistry.

If Neanderthals had not gone extinct, perhaps they would have found a way to create their

own civilizations.

Perhaps their colonies could have remained in parts of Europe until the modern era.

But according to Will Harcourt Smith, anthropologist and professor at City University of new york,

If Neanderthals had not gone extinct when they had, they would have been assimilated

or killed off.

Similarily homo sapiens probably would have looked down on Neanderthals.

There were also way more homo sapiens than Neanderthals, all competing for the same resources.

One can assume that Homo sapiens would have found a way to enslave Neanderthals.

They would have been regarded as second class citizens, much the way people of other races

were regarded until the modern era.

I'll leave you with one last thought.

Modern genetic analyses has determined that modern Eurasians have 1-4 percent Neanderthal

dna in their genome.

Because of this, one can argue that Neanderthals never went extinct at all, and their species

simply disappeared after thousands of years of interbreeding and assimilation with early

humans.

So in a way, maybe Neanderthals did not go extinct to begin with, and their ancestors

are living among us.

What do you think the world would be like if Neanderthals hadn't gone extinct?

Let us know in the comments below.

✈️WHAT TO DO IN BARCELONA IN A WEEKEND ☀️🌴😎 | Sous-titré FR🇨🇭 | Legendado PT🇧🇷 - Duration: 13:49.

Bonjour, bonjour, everybody!

I'm Amanda Willi-Cruz and in today's video I'll show you around Barcelona!

I've recently been to Barcelona for a weekend and in this video I'll talk about what to

do there, art, culture, some politics.

And, of course, I'll give you some practical tips too.

TRANSPORT

When we arrived at the airport we took this AeroBus that takes you to the city center.

To go around, you can surely use the subway, but for a short trip I suggest taking those

sightseeing buses that take you to the most important tourist attractions and rent a bike

for shorter distances.

There are those conventional bike rentals or you can rent an electric bike.

HOTELS

The majority of the hotels are in near Plaza

de Catalunya, which I would say it's kind of the city center.

But my husband and I decided to stay close to the sea, so we stayed at the W Hotel.

It's a bit far from the main tourist attractions but the hotel was nice and we had an amazing view.

LA SAGRADA FAMILIA

First and foremost I suggest you to buy your

tickets in advance to visit La Sagrada Familia.

The Sagrada Familia is the most important work of art of the Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí.

It is still under construction but you can go inside and visit the towers.

The church is expected to be finished in 2026, on the 100-year anniversary of Gaudi's death.

Outside is impressive, but I think the inside is my favorite part.

I wasn't expecting such a high ceiling with the columns like trees.

Gaudí said "Originality consists in returning to the origin"

and we can really feel this on his masterpiece.

We see nature all around La Sagrada Familia.

ARCHITECTURE

La Sagrada Família is not the only place where we can see Gaudí's work.

He built many different buildings in the city.

PARK GUËLL

We can also see Gaudí's work in a park called Park Guëll.

You need to buy tickets in advance too.

I'll put the link where you can book your visit in the description box down below.

Let's check out the park.

GOTHIC QUARTER

I would say that this neighbourhood is a maze, but it's really nice to walk around and get "lost" on the

narrow streets while you're seeing its amazing architecture.

It's the oldest part of Barcelona, and it's really different from the rest of the city.

In the Gothic Quarter there is this Government Building and I saw a political manifestation in front of it because

somebody put a flag of the separatist group that wants the independence of Catalonia from Spain.

MUSEUMS

We couldn't go to any museum this time, but I already have two museums

at the top of my list that I want to visit next time I'm in Barcelona:

the Catalunya History Museum

and the National Art Museum.

And I also want to see it's illuminated fountains at night the so called magic fountains.

RESTAURANTS

Let's talk about food! Spanish food is delicious!

They have this "tapas" that are small portions of food that you order like 2, 3

dishes and try it all.

If you want to have lunch with a nice view I recommend you to go to Maremagnum Mall at the harbor.

If you want to have a brunch, I highly recommend the Brunch & Cake by the Sea, there will probably

have a line, but be patient and wait for it because it's really worth it!

Another really nice restaurant is El Nacional.

It's like several restaurants inside of one restaurant.

The decor is really charming. The "restaurants" of El Nacional are separated by type of food,

for example, seafood in one place, meat in another, etc.

I went to the seafood one and it was simply delicious.

I had a ceviche as a starter and we had the sea-bream baked in Ibiza cooking salt as main dish.

NIGHTLIFE

We went to Tablao Cordobes to see a Flamenco dance.

It's passionating the way they sing, play and dance.

You can check out a little bit of the end of the show when the artists allowed us to take pictures and to film.

And that's it, a little bit of Barcelona for you guys! It was an amazing trip.

I hope you have the opportunity to go there too.

By the way, let me know in the comments below if you have already been there, or if you

have any plans to visit Barcelona or if you just wish to go there one day.

Thank you so much for watching, I hope you liked this video, and if you did, please, give it a thumbs up.

Share this video with friends that might be interested in Barcelona.

Make sure to subscribe to my channel and hit the bell so you won't miss the next videos.

And I'll see you next week! Bye!
