MOST OF THEM DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING.

SOMEBODY ELSE'S HEAD.
I MEAN, AT LEAST IF YOU'RE GOING TO ASK SOMEBODY WHAT YOU SHOULD
DO, GO TO SOMEBODY THAT'S GOT SOME SPIRITUAL WISDOM THAT WALKS
IN SOME DISCERNMENT THAT'S GOING TO TAKE A LITTLE BIT OF EFFORT
TO MAYBE PRAY BEFORE THEY POP OFF AN ANSWER.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO?
WELL, WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO?"
ANOTHER THING THAT CAUSES CONFUSION IS WE DON'T MAKE
DECISIONS BECAUSE OF THE FEAR OF MAKING A MISTAKE.
AND THEN EXCESSIVE REASONING CAUSES CONFUSION.
FOUR THINGS: LACK OF CONFIDENCE TO MAKE DECISIONS, AND YOU KNOW,
DECIDING NOT TO MAKE A DECISION IS STILL A DECISION.
LISTENING TO TOO MANY PEOPLE, THE FEAR OF MAKING MISTAKES,
AND EXCESSIVE REASONING.
SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED TO TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES
AND GET QUIET AND SEE WHAT'S IN YOUR HEART.
PROVERBS 3:5 THROUGH 8 IS SO GOOD.
"LEAN ON, TRUST AND BE CONFIDENT IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART
AND MIND.
AND DON'T RELY ON YOUR OWN INSIGHT OR UNDERSTANDING.
IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE WILL DIRECT
YOUR PATH."
AND I LOVE THE FIRST SENTENCE IN VERSE 7, "BE NOT WISE
IN YOUR OWN EYES."
SO, NOT TO BE INSULTING BUT I'LL JUST TELL YOU THE TRUTH: WE'RE
NOT SMART ENOUGH TO SOLVE OUR OWN PROBLEMS.
WE NEED GOD'S HELP AND A LOT OF IT.

QUICKLY TOWARD THE BATTLE LINE TO MEET THE PHILISTINE."
YOU SAY, "WELL, WHY DO YOU LIKE THAT SO MUCH?"
I THINK THAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN DEFEATED IF HE HAD STOOD THERE
AND THOUGHT ABOUT HOW BIG HE WAS.

SEE, SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED TO RUN TOWARD WHATEVER IT IS YOU

BECAUSE THEY TALK ABOUT HOW THE SPIRITUAL MAN, THE TRULY
SPIRITUAL MAN IS A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT THAN EVERYBODY ELSE.
YOU CAN'T QUITE GET A HANDLE ON SOMEBODY THAT'S TRULY SPIRITUAL
BECAUSE HE PROBABLY DOES MORE LISTENING THAN TALKING AND,
OR HE COULD BE TALKING TO YOU AND LISTENING TO GOD
AT THE SAME TIME.
BUT THE TRULY SPIRITUAL MAN TRAINS HIMSELF TO ALWAYS HAVE
ONE EAR TURNED TOWARD THE MASTER.
SO, THEY'RE NOT GOING TO HAVE BAD BEHAVIOR FOR VERY LONG
BECAUSE THEY'RE GOING TO KNOW RIGHT AWAY THAT THAT'S NOT WHAT
THEY SHOULD BE DOING.
THEY'RE NOT GOING TO SAY THINGS FOR VERY LONG.
YOU KNOW, IF YOU'RE REALLY TUNED INTO THE SPIRIT YOU CAN'T SIT
OVER THE WHOLE LUNCH AND GOSSIP WITH A FRIEND OF YOURS ABOUT
SOMEBODY ELSE.
YOU CAN'T DO IT BECAUSE YOU'RE GOING TO KNOW.
THERE'S GOING TO BE AN UNCOMFORTABLE FEELING IN THE PIT
OF YOUR GUT AND IN KNOWING THAT THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU SHOULD DO.
NOW, WHEN I TALKED LAST NIGHT ABOUT FOLLOWING THE GUIDANCE OF
THE HOLY SPIRIT THESE ARE THE KINDS OF THINGS THAT I'M
TALKING ABOUT.
YOU KNOW, I PROBABLY DON'T HAVE TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT,
"DON'T KILL YOUR NEIGHBOR.
DON'T ROB A BANK."
I MEAN, PROBABLY THOSE THINGS ARE NOT TEMPTATIONS BUT WE DO
NEED TO TALK ABOUT NOT BEING JUDGMENTAL, NOT BEING CRITICAL,
NOT GOSSIPING, NOT LETTING A BUNCH OF JUNK COME OUT OF OUR
MOUTH THAT'S GOING TO HURT OUR FUTURE AND EVERYBODY AROUND US.
AND, SAD TO SAY, MANY OF THOSE THINGS HAVE BECOME
ACCEPTABLE SINS.
THEY'RE LIKE THINGS THAT PEOPLE THINK DON'T REALLY MAKE THAT
MUCH DIFFERENCE ANYMORE.
BUT THEY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND THEY MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.
AND SO, I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THE TIME TO READ THESE
SCRIPTURES BUT IT SAYS, "THE SPIRITUAL MAN TRIES ALL THINGS.
HE EXAMINES, INVESTIGATES, INQUIRES INTO, QUESTIONS
AND DISCERNS ALL THINGS."
I THINK THE PERSON WHO'S TRULY SPIRITUAL AND IS OPERATING FROM
THE MIND OF THE SPIRIT TAKES TIME TO THINK BEFORE HE POPS OFF
AN ANSWER.
A GREAT EXAMPLE IS FOUND IN JOHN 8:1 THROUGH 11
WHEN A WOMAN WAS CAUGHT IN ADULTERY AND THEY
BROUGHT HER TO JESUS AND SAID, "NOW, THE LAW SAYS THAT SHE HAS
TO BE STONED BUT WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?"
BECAUSE SEE, HE WAS TEACHING LOVE AND FORGIVENESS BUT HE ALSO
HAD TO KEEP THE LAW AND SO THEY THOUGHT THEY HAD HIM IN A TRAP.
NOW, THIS WOMAN'S BEEN CAUGHT IN ADULTERY.
SO, "OKAY IF YOU KNOW SO MUCH, THIS IS WHAT THE LAW SAYS, WHAT
WOULD YOU DO WITH HER?" AND THE BIBLE SAYS THAT HE BENT
DOWN AND WROTE ON THE GROUND WITH HIS FINGER.
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT?
WHAT WAS HE DOING?
WHAT WAS HE DOING?
YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK HE WAS DOING, THIS IS MY OWN OPINION?

We Played Fire Emblem Heroes for 1 Hour - Hands-On Preview - Duration: 7:45.
As Nintendo's first fully free-to-play mobile game, Fire Emblem Heroes has a lot to prove.
Sure, Nintendo dabbled in the free-to-play model with Miitomo, but let's be honest,
that was less a game and more a social media experiment slathered in a Nintendo coat of
paint.
So all eyes are on Fire Emblem Heroes to prove that Nintendo can be a real contender in the
free-to-play mobile space.
Fortunately, Nintendo seems all too eager to let Fire Emblem Heroes prove itself, as
we were invited to take the game for an hour-long spin in advance of its February 2nd release
later this week.
The first thing that really struck me about Heroes in an overall sense is just how closely
it hews to the series' audiovisual tradition.
Heroes may be an upstart mobile title on hardware that isn't Nintendo's, but it's also
unmistakably Fire Emblem in how it looks and sounds.
From the familiar music and sound effects complementing the action to the full-screen
character cut-ins heralding deadly special attacks, Nintendo has spared no expense on
Heroes' aesthetics, and I can only imagine they'll delight the hardest of the hardcore
Fire Emblem fans even more than they delighted me.
The high-resolution character art is particularly on point and always eye-popping, with each
character having multiple illustrations showing off various poses and facial expressions.
Each character even has their own battle-damaged illustration for when their HP drops dangerously
low!
Better yet: you can also view all these gorgeous full-screen illustrations from any unit's
status screen, allowing you to appreciate details you're likely to miss in the heat
of battle.
The attention to visual detail here is genuinely impressive, and don't think for a second
that the chibi-like art style for the battle sequences detracts from the game even a little.
On the contrary, the chibi characters are well animated and really pop, lending Heroes
its own distinct style without taking away from the overall Fire Emblem vibe.
Fire Emblem Heroes looking and sounding great is all well and good, but understandably,
the real question on fans' minds is "How does it play?"
The answer seems to be more straightforward than you might expect: this is Fire Emblem
as you know it, optimized for one-handed play on the go and tuned to fit a free-to-play
model designed for mobile platforms.
For example, Heroes features the same fast, wonderfully efficient grid-based battles you
know from the core titles.
But Heroes' battles are scaled down from those titles into 4-on-4 skirmishes that can
be wrapped up in mere minutes - and while fans may scoff at that thought, it's a change
that perfectly fits Heroes' role as a smartphone take on Fire Emblem, allowing you to reap
the rewards from a quick battle or two while standing in line at the grocery store, for
example.
Similarly, even though Heroes doesn't necessarily have the kind of focus on story and character
interactions you would expect from the series' more traditional outings, units still have
varying support skills that can be activated by placing them next to other units during
combat.
Again - faithful to the Fire Emblem core but streamlined for a mobile context.
And of course, it wouldn't be a Fire Emblem game without the weapon triangle in full effect,
and while it's been slightly simplified here - red beats green, green beats blue,
and blue beats red - rest assured that it's every bit as much a governing force in Heroes
as it is in the rest of the series.
Even powerful units get waylaid in incompatible matchups, and gray units - which exist somewhat
outside the weapon triangle and specialize in ranged attacks - will utterly eviscerate
any and all flying units in range.
So far, so familiar then.
Taken as a whole, Heroes' battles are as fast and flashy as they are familiar and fun,
emphasizing forward progress in bite-size chunks over the longer, more thoughtful and
drawn-out battles found in traditional Fire Emblem titles.
Even better, they're punctuated by an elegant touch screen interface that makes perfect
sense for the platform, enabling you to move units around and initiate conflicts quickly
and efficiently - just drag and drop units where you want them to go, and drop one of
your units onto an enemy unit to attack them.
Notably, purists still have the option of doing all this via traditional menu selections,
but I tried both approaches, and the touch controls won out for me pretty much instantly.
So Heroes' battles are on point, but what about the game outside of those battles?
Free to play games tend to live and die by their economy, and all the entertaining battles
in the world won't mean a thing if Heroes' economy stifles player progress to encourage
in-app purchases.
And while it's impossible to get a true feel for a free-to-play game's long-term
economy from an hour-long demo, what I saw gives me hope that Nintendo won't be nickel-and-diming
you if all you want is simply to progress through the game's story.
But if you're dead set on quickly building an army that only includes your favorite Fire
Emblem characters, you're almost certainly going to have to break out your wallet.
The story of Fire Emblem Heroes casts you, the player, in the role of a summoner who
can call upon Fire Emblem characters from other worlds - called "Heroes" in-game,
hence the title - to fill the ranks of your army.
To do this, though, you'll need Orbs - and lots of them.
Orbs can be gained as in-game rewards for winning battles and completing missions, or
they can be purchased in various bundles using real money.
To summon a new warrior for your army, you'll need to select a "Focus" and commit 5
Orbs, with each Focus essentially drawing from a different pool of characters.
But committing those 5 Orbs is always a gamble - you won't know until after you've pledged
those 5 Orbs where in the weapon triangle your summon possibilities will fall, and on
top of that, you of course won't know which character you've summoned and what their
rank is until you've summoned them.
For example, you may really need a green unit to fill out your current army, and you'll
commit 5 Orbs only to find that all of the characters you can summon that time are red,
blue, or gray units.
If you still need that green unit, get ready to pony up more Orbs - and hope you get lucky
this time.
Furthermore, that green unit you eventually get may turn out to be a character you don't
care about, or a low-ranked version of a character you love.
It's all about the luck of the draw.
Of course, "the luck of the draw" comes part and parcel with the free to play model,
and to Nintendo's credit, they're not exactly hiding this element of Fire Emblem
Heroes.
It's important to note, though, that Orbs don't seem to be exceedingly rare - I was
awarded with at least one Orb for every new story battle I won, and Nintendo says there
are various other means in-game by which you can earn Orbs.
It's also worth mentioning that Nintendo allow you to "game the system" to a degree.
Your Orb cost per character will go down if you summon multiple characters in the same
session, and your chances of getting a high-rank version of a popular character will slightly
increase every time you don't get one.
So no matter how bad your luck is, you're guaranteed to get a great pull… eventually.
I should also stress that low-rank heroes can eventually rank up into 5-star heroes
if you're willing to put in the time, work, and materials to get them there.
In a twist on the class change system seen in core Fire Emblem games, a unit can rank
up once they reach level 20, but ranking up will set them back to level 1 to start the
process over again - with improved stats and skills, of course.
So like most free-to-play games, Nintendo's approach to Heroes seems to boil down to a
choice between time and money.
Get powerful versions of fan-favorite characters more quickly by spending money, or build up
to them over the long term by playing over a longer period of time.
The classic free to play model!
But what if you just want to play the game and aren't too fussed about which characters
you do it with?
I'm happy to report that while Heroes does run on a Stamina-based system, it seems rather
difficult to run out of Stamina during the course of normal gameplay.
Case in point - I began with 50 Stamina in my demo, with early story missions only requiring
2 Stamina each on Normal difficulty.
Kingdom Hearts: Unchained Key has a similarly lax Stamina system in the early going, and
would be an apt comparison for those who have played it.
While the Hard and Lunatic difficulties require more Stamina per mission and Stamina costs
will gradually increase as you advance through the story, the whole Stamina system does seem
to be weighed in the player's favor, or at least not in favor of making you wait for
your Stamina to recharge or sacrificing an Orb to recharge it instantly.
As I wrap this preview up, perhaps the most illuminating thing I can say about Fire Emblem
Heroes is that I walked away from my demo actively excited to download it on my own
phone and play it casually in the weeks and months to come.
There's always the chance that an aggressive focus on microtransactions could spoil the
fun over the long term, but what I've played so far leads me to believe that Nintendo is
not going out of their way to wall off basic progress behind in-app purchases… just be
prepared to spend some cash if you want a 5-star Lucina right off the bat!

What we're working on today is a song from James Brown ' I can't stand myself ' and the
cool thing about this song is that it has a layered groove where the bass drum and the
left hand on the snare drum are playing together.
Here's the opening sequence slowed down.
So the idea of the left hand ghosting and the, the right foot playing with that is something
that is often not done.
Most of the time when the bass drum plays we stop ghosting.
So the challenge is to try to ghost and play the bass drum together.
Try to apply the concept to grooves that you're playing in songs that you're playing.
Keep on drumming.

for American bands people don't come until like, last minute

it's been fogging up like, all day
but
there aren't too many people out right now
we saw Ryota actually
and Toru
I think they're walking around
hiiii I'm with Mina

yay, everyone is so sweet
and we have hand warmers
yeah, so it's 9:30am
not much is going on right now
we still have quite some time so
so cold
there's not any...
I can't speak English
there's no new people right now
it's pretty much the same

what you just saw was all the footage I got while in line
I'm so sorry I couldn't do more
I really wanted to do
a bigger vlog
show when even more people came
and what people were doing but
there's not much going on at Sodo
and because it was a Tuesday
there was really only me and a couple of my friends
and like, 15 other people
and the majority of that group
like 99% of that group
were Japanese
so me and a couple of my friends were the only
locals until like...
not even 12pm
around noon a few people showed up
but not until maybe 2
1pm or 2pm was when more and more people really showed up
it was crazy
but showbox Sodo
there's not a lot there so
again not many things going on
so this.. waiting in line
went by pretty fast since I was talking to people
but at the same time......
it isn't fully downtown Seattle
so there wasn't many things to do
and there wasn't much to see
so I put my camera away early
I did take some photos inside
before the show started
so I could show you guys
when I arrived to the venue
I saw Ryota
the bus already had arrived
I was there at 8:30am
he was chilling outside, fans didn't
know he was there yet
and then after awhile they did
I think he was gone by then
but they (fans) were checking out the buses
taking pictures
yeah it was just a lot of taking pictures
and standing in line
and waiting
waiting for people to show up
oh my goodness
so I did see Ryota
Taka and Toru
actually the only member I didn't see while in line
was Tomoya
Ryota and Toru I saw them a few times especially
when they were walking across the street
you might've seen some pictures
and Taka I saw like
twice I believe
he was really upset, I'm sure you guys have already seen what
he posted on Instagram
and while you may have your opinions
so do I
I feel that
it's really one of those
you had to be there kind of moments
because he was very upset that day
the whole day he wasn't
himself and I've met
him a few times both officially (VIP) and unofficially
and he's always been nice and approachable
but he was tired and not in the mood
and literally it was like he had paparazzi
everyone was standing on that corner
of the street taking pictures of him
nonstop
and he did not want any of that
that's really all I can say
about the situation
I really just wanted to get that out of there
there's a lot of things to it
I agree that Taka could have worded his post
so much better
he definitely could've explained more
and he could have said it in a much better way
I'm sure he has more explanations to it
when you're tired
and when you're in another country
you don't want to be surrounded by a bunch of fans
with cameras in your faces
I know that was one of his big things
that really got to him
I won't speak on behalf of having
fans from Japan
coming over following the tour
because that is amazing
props to you guys
if I had the money I would do that (follow tours)
like if I were in their position
I would do the exact same thing (when it comes to following oversea tours)
I would love it
and I follow the GazettE
they're great
and they're really nice whenever it comes to fans like that
it really sucks because
not only was it in Seattle
my city
it was the very last tour date
and so
having that kind of memory
or feeling on the last day of your tour
is just horrible
I would hate to have that
and that's what happened to him
I really hope they come back
I see no reason for them not to but
just not that venue
ONE OK ROCK if you come back to Seattle
and you want to play at SHOWBOX
play at the Market
do not play at Sodo
there was another show going on at the Market though
so that night just wouldn't work out
Sodo is okay but there's always something going on
took forever for staff to finally come out
not ONE OK ROCK staff, I'm talking about
the venue staff
but moving on from that
the show was really good
they're always amazing live
it was fun meeting them
so instead of doing handshakes I actually
gave them a fist bump
so my friend went first
she like, went really fast
she just gave high fives to everyone
I really watched to watch but I looked down
and when I looked up again
she was already taking pictures with them
and I'm like, "I didn't even see you high five!"
so for the order of the pictures it was
Ryota, Taka, Toru, and Tomoya
and they all looked amazing
so I gave them each a fist bump
and then I stood in the middle
between Toru and Taka
got my picture
I said something to all of them, wishing them
have a good travel back home
things like that
I gave a little message to Taka before
leaving for my...
leaving to go to the stage as well
but I don't really have much to say about the
concert
because
it's not like a Visual Kei concert
there's no fan service or anything
I was front row
I was basically on Ryota's side
I really wanted to be on Toru's side but
I had more space if I were on the left side so
I just can't escape the left side
but again they were really awesome
the stage set up was really cool
I'll post a picture right here as well
but Tomoya's drums were awesome
they had all these lights everywhere
I actually kind of hated it because
it was cool but there was
this one (light) right in front of me
and it shined at my face
so I had to cover
the light with my hand
while I was waiting for them to come out
so luckily the rest of the show the light wasn't shining at me
but holy crap
I was not a fan of that light
but besides that
the whole set up was so cool
so they had these flags that said ONE OK ROCK on them
one on each side of the stage
says ONE OK ROCK and
it has the triangle
and kind of like a paint...
a paint brush mark (stroke)
in the middle
going down
but they had both of those
and again all these lights surrounding the back of the stage
it was really really cool
Taka had great outfits
they all had great outfits
they just all looked really good
and they're all... I don't have a favorite
I wanna say I have a favorite but
with this band I don't
I have never been so squished so much in my life
I've been going to concerts since what
6th grade?
and I have had my times in front row
but I swear to god
with ONE OK ROCK
it was just concert, like, I had
a couple breaks
but not really
it was constantly pushing
the songs aren't even hard
there were some mosh pits going on
but with their new music
it's just not the kind of music to do that for
like go ahead, do it, have fun
I'm fine
but holy crap
so I was constantly being pushed
and of course I was defending my spot
there's no way no one's gonna take me out of my spot
and me and my friend eventually
linked arms
because pretty sure some people tried
taking us out of our spots
and I've had elbows in my back
the entire show
I am so surprised I barely have any bruises
I have some on my knees and my legs
but just very little
compared to my friend
she has a lot of leg bruises
our concert battle scars
I was honestly hoping for some but
I didn't have any so it was really surprising
because again I had elbows
in my back
constantly
and like, to the point where it was pretty hard that it hurt (sometimes)
I'm pretty sure I pissed off the girl behind me though
cause what I like doing
when I'm at shows
if I have space I'll like
push back (a little)
and then I lunge forward
to head bang really hard, you know?
and so I tried doing that
and I managed a couple times
but
the crowd just pushed even more
and I'm pretty sure she purposefully pushed
on me, honestly,
I don't blame you, it's okay
it's a show
that's what happens
but wow
we were so squished, so packed
like head banging
I couldn't really do
I still did it
but it was hard
cause I had no space
it was a good show
oh and my favorite song they performed
American Girls!
that was so fun
and I loved Bedroom Warfare
oh my gosh
okay now I remember
during the concert
oh my goodness
so Taka would have us sing along
but it would be for a really long time
and there was no breaks
during some of them so I'm just like
"Taka, we're not professional singers like you"
"I'm being squished, my throat is not used to this"
"I haven't been to a concert in awhile, please"
"Please just start singing again and stop letting us sing along"
"Because I am DYING right now"
but yeah that was really fun
this was the signed CD they gave to VIPs
and also in line
there were some girls doing promos (official street team)
so we had some post cards that were
being given away
for free
and some stickers
so I actually had a few of this because
I knew the spots that
the promoters (i meant to say street team)
were going to
so I'd grab some
so I have like, maybe 4
of this now
I gave some away
I know I have more than one
but I'm really glad I have the stickers
I actually kind of wish
I asked if I could have like, 2 or something
the design is really cool too
