You are worthy - The Path to Peace book - Duration: 2:16.

Hey, creators.

Hope you're doing well today.

I just want to take a moment to talk about worth and particularly one aspect of worth.

Basically, the most important part about worth is that you are worthy.

That's the best thing to take away from this.

And the reason why you're worthy is because everything happens for a reason.

Now, a lot of people might say that that's a cliche or that some things happen independently,

but everything exists in relationship to everything else.

You can't have on without off.

You can't have light without darkness.

You need the opposite to distinguish the two.

It's the only way you can recognize light is if you had darkness.

That means everything happens for a reason.

And that means you are worthy.

But that doesn't necessarily mean that you feel worthy.

You might feel unworthy.

The reason why you might feel unworthy is that we have this almost ingrained process

where we project our values onto all things and then interpret our projections based on

our values.

And that sounds like a mouthful, so to explain it, the best way is to give an example.

A dog does not call itself a dog, we call it a dog.

The sun does not call itself the sun, we call it the sun.

We project an identity onto these things, onto all things, and then we interpret that

projection based on our values, we interpret that identity based on our values.

I mean, we developed language.

Language didn't -- wasn't just before us.

It wasn't as if we arrived on earth and then language was already there for us.

We developed language and therefore, we developed concepts.

And we have this process that makes us, at times, feel unworthy, even though we're not

because everything happens for a reason.

And it's important, I think, to distinguish that and to recognize that so that you value

your own worth.

And therefore, you can actually realize that you can go about achieving your dreams and

achieving your goals, 'cause you are worthy.

That was one of the major things that I wrote about in my book.
