DANA WHITE: So today is the wildcard pick.

And I know that you guys are obviously on different teams,

and have different ideas, and want to back your own guys,

but what we really need here--

pick the best guys.

Who are the best guys?

Who will go the furthest?

Who would do the best if they end up staying in the UFC?

Baghdad and Lane are both out on medical suspension,

so that leaves Nunez, Baczynski, Eddie Gordon,

Joe "Daddy," and Hayder Hassan.

Cody, who do you like to come back?

CODY GARBRANDT: Who's been working really

hard is Eddie and Seth.

Hayder has some promise, too.

Johnny Nunez had a great scrap with James

Krause coming off the couch.

DANA WHITE: TJ?

TJ DILLASHAW: Yeah, man, I think this whole redemption thing's

pretty cool, and the whole point of the wild card

is to give these guys some incentive

to leave it all on the line.

And I think that's what Joe "Daddy" and Justin did.

Their fight was the best fight of the season so far.

He's got the biggest redemption story ever.

He's got the most fights.

He's making a big comeback.

And yeah, Cody does have some great guys.

I think Hayder brought it hard.

He's come from big, big punches, went to a decision,

and I think that was the next most competitive fight.

DANA WHITE: All right, guys.

today I got the wildcard spot.

Obviously, for my own reasons, I'm super ecstatic about it.

I feel like this is a second opportunity for me to go out

there and show what I'm about.

So I'm happy, man.

CODY GARBRANDT: He went in there and played,

Joe "Daddy" is a legend, and he's a Hall of Famer

and, you know--

but he got his ass beat.

It wasn't even a [BLEEP] competitive fight.

Joe "Daddy's" tough, he has a lot of heart,

but he took a lot of shots, and then he got rocked a few times.

And if he was my fighter, and I was his coach,

I would not let him fight.

EDDIE GORDON: This should be about who

has the best opportunity to win the whole entire show.

CODY GARBRANDT: That's the way it was.

EDDIE GORDON: It should be about the best two fighters

who can win the whole entire show.

It's crazy.

Of course he's going to pick what

he thinks is the best matchup, which is [BLEEP] stupid.

That guy is going to get hurt.

For some odd reason, it looks like TJ's running the show.

He pretty much not only got to pick his fighter, Joe "Daddy,"

who had a heck of a fight, credit

to him, but he also was able to pick our fighter,

pick the match up, which is Hayder, which--

nothing against Hayder, but it just doesn't, logically,

make any sense.

TJ DILLASHAW: [GLEEFUL NOISE] [BLEEP] yeah!

[CELEBRATION]

JOE "DADDY" STEVENSON: I'm very excited to be

chosen to go on the wild card.

I think I'm very lucky.

I didn't come here to go 0 and 1.

I really want to make sure that I go out there,

put on my best performance, and execute my game plan--

get the W so I can move on and hopefully fight,

I guess, one of my teammates, or maybe even a possible rematch

against Justin.

At this point, it's a back and forth fight.

CODY GARBRANDT: Round two starts,

Justin picks up where he left off.

TJ DILLASHAW: I'm wanting Joe to be

a little more aggressive than he is, but he keeps backing up.

I felt like every time Justin landed a punch,

Joe kind of woke up a little bit more.

CODY GARBRANDT: Justin was able to fight off the guillotine.

Kind of standing his guard a little bit and kind of really

let him up.

TJ DILLASHAW: When Justin gets back to his feet,

he lands a good spinning heel kick.

ONE OF THE PRIMARY ISSUES THAT PEOPLE WERE CONCERNED ABOUT

IF DONALD TRUMP GOT ELECTED WAS CLIMATE CHANGE, AND WHETHER WE

WOULD PULL OUT OF THE PARIS CLIMATE DEAL.

ALMOST EVERY

COUNTRY IN THE WORLD HAS SIGNED THIS, I'LL TELL YOU THE TWO

OTHERS WHO HAVE NOT, AND PRESIDENT OBAMA DIDN'T GO TO THE

SENATE FOR RATIFICATION, HE SAID THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH CAN HANDLE

IT, AND THEY DID, AND WE WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN MAKING THIS DEAL

HAPPEN SO WE WOULDN'T MELT THE PLANET.

ALL SHOW YOU SOME

NUMBERS ON HOW BAD IT IS IN A LITTLE BIT.

THE PROBLEM WITH

THAT STRATEGY WAS IF A REPUBLICAN WON HE COULD CIVILLY

BACKOUT AS PRESIDENT, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THAT IS THE DIRECTION

DONALD TRUMP IS HEADING.

AND THEN IN BOLD BECAUSE HE'S A CHILD, MAKE AMERICA GREAT

THERE WAS A BATTLE BETWEEN THE -- I DON'T WANT TO SAY MODERATE

FORCES, THERE ARE NO MODERATE FORCES IN THE WHITE HOUSE -- BUT

THE SLIGHTLY NON-INSANE FORCES OF IVANKA TRUMP, JARED GOVERNOR,

THE GOLDMAN SACHS GUYS, AGAINST THE NATIONALISTS.

BANNONS, ETC., WHO SAID WE TOLD EVERYONE WE WILL BURN THE PLACE

DOWN, NOW LET'S LITERALLY DO IT, YOU CAN'T BACK OUT OF THIS

CAMPAIGN PROMISE, AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE WILL GO IN THE STEVE

BANNON DIRECTION.

NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES --

THAT'S IT.

IF THEY MAKE AN EXECUTIVE DECISION IT'S OVER,

THEY WON'T BE PARTICIPATING.

YOU THINK TRUMP WILL BE LIKE, OH, WE

SAID WE WOULD BE IN THROUGH 2019 SO LET'S SPEND A LOT OF MONEY

GOING IN THAT DIRECTION?

NO, HE WILL SAY WE ARE DONE WITH IT, NO ENFORCEMENT, AND

POWER EVERYTHING DOWN.

IN FACT --

A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE ACTING

OUTRAGED AND SURPRISED TODAY,

BUT COME ON, OF COURSE YOU SHOULDN'T BE SURPRISED.

THEY

ALREADY STOPPED THE CLEAN POWER PLAN, AND WITHOUT IT THERE IS NO

WAY WE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE PARIS

ACCORDS.

SO IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF OFFICIALLY SAYING IT.

SECOND

OF ALL, GEE, I WONDER WHAT DIRECTION HE WOULD GO WHEN HE

TOOK THE GUY WHO IS SUING THE EPA TO MAKE SURE THEY COULD NOT

BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS ACCORD AND MADE HIM HEAD OF THE

EPA.

THIS ISN'T COMPLICATED, I KNOW HEALTHCARE IS, AND NORTH

KOREA IS, NOBODY KNEW THAT, BUT THIS ONE ISN'T, OF COURSE HE

WOULD BACKOUT.

THESE ARE THE CONSEQUENCES FOR VOTING FOR

DONALD TRUMP, WHAT DID YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN?
