Everquest Mysteries: The Beholder's Maze? - Duration: 2:47.
You know, Miragul's cave from the previous video reminds me of another strange labrynth
in Everquest: The Gorge of King Xorbb!
I always thought there was something strange about this zone and it wasn't until recently
that I realized what it was: It has two names!
We generally know it as The Gorge of King Xorbb because, you know, it's king Xorbb's gorge,
but it's also called the Beholder's Maze.
Infact that's the only way to see if anyone is in the zone, you gotta do a /who all Beholder.
It's weird that there's a less common second name for the zone and it even looks like the
devs were kind of confused about it in the Kunark stratedgy guide.
They say it's called the Beholder's Maze but it's also know as The Gorge of King Xorbb....
what?
Are they playin the same game we are?
And don't even get me started on the Qeynos zones, yeah, Qeynos Hills is qey to qrg, you
know what that stands for?
Qeynos to Qeynos Ranger Guild...what was wrong with the devs?!
But like I was saying, the Beholder's Maze...that name has always been kind of fascinating to me.
I mean think about it, what's the only phrase you've ever heard that uses the word "beholder"?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?
And what strange monster can be found floating throughout the gorge?
Evil Eyes!
Let's look a bit closer at these Evil Eyes.
King Xorbb himself is pretty rare, ive only seen him a few times, and he drops a staff,
thats used in a quest...
But did you also know that there's a super rare evil eye that can be found in Runnyeye
called Borxx? it's like a strange anagram of Xorbb...
if someone didn't know what an anagram was
And he drops a lens that's used in a quest to get another staff: The Staff of The Observers.......

Now, we observe with our eyes right?
But the quest givers use their telescope to observe...
....but what do they observe?
the heavens!!!
and look, there's a constellation!
I wonder what it means?!
Wow that sure was, informative?

I love this giant chessboard!
I don't know how to start this
I LOVE THIS GIANT CHESSBOARD!
It's so magical and mysterious; it is the epitome of everything I love about Everquest.
Most people probably never gave too much thought to It's origins, I bet most people just assumed
the art team was bored and randomly stuck it in here but no! you were wrong! you hear
that WarSheol_EM!
At first I thought maybe the giants made it, but they're pretty big even by giant standards,
plus I've never heard of a giant on Faydwer so im ruling them out.
Then I thought of the dwarves!
Great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls.
But I figure even the dwarves know how to play chess ? I mean look at the board, it
doesnt make any sense.
To my understanding the black king is in double check... that shouldn't be possible...
unless they were playing Kaladim street rules!
Finding no real answers on Faydwer I decided to descend deeper into the internet and my
research led me to Everquest II and it turns out there's a giant chessboard in Butcherblock
there as well, with the addition of a giant throne!
So clearly someone was playing chess, they didn't just carve this as like, a monument or something
Which begs the question , "Who's playing giant chess in Butcherblock?"
Well with the release of Velious came an all new chessboard located in the Plane of Michief
with different textures and everything!
So of course I went to examine this new piece of the puzzle.
ok I've never been here before.
This zone is confusing and scary.
What is that!?
ok stay focused, gotta find that, that chessboard.
oh hey look a little one, I mean it's no giant chessboard but it's a start... wait a minute...
do you notice anything familiar about this chessboard?
It has the exact same layout as the one in Butcherblock!
*gasp* Bristlebane was playing chess!
EDIT - ok, they're not exactly the same
but it's close enough...(incomprehensible murmuring) look at the board!
All of the pieces seem to have moved up one space, some of the colors are different
some of the pieces have fallen over or moved a littler,
but overall the layout is almost identical.
There's still 10 pieces on each board: 6 pawns, 2 knights and 2 kings,
and this king is still in the weird double check position......
it was Bristleban!.....
clearly Bristlebane did this.........
it was Bristlebane!
IT WAS BRISTLEBANE!
Ok for those who may not know Bristlebane is one of the gods in Everquest.
He's the King of Theives, he's a trickster, sneaky, plays games!
And the Plane of Michief is his home.
So it makes perfect sense that this is his giant magical chessboard.
But this leaves us with yet another question: Who was he playing chess with!?
Was it Mayor gubbin?
Sorsha Hobbitfriend?
This thing?
This guy on the internet has a theory that it was Brell Serilis, another Everquest god,
and that they were playing for the dominance of Faydwer, which makes sense actually!
Brell ended up creating 2 races on Faydwer and the only race that Bristlebane made can
be found on Antonica so I guess he lost.
The Kunark stratedgy guide even mentions something along these lines, "It is, in fact, a large
chess set, with pieces that look as though the gods themselves once played with them."
So thats it, there it is, I rest my case, this chessboard actually seems to be part
of the lore of Norrath.

But there is another chessboard in Timorous Deep....
I dunno why it's there though, they probably just needed something to put on this island
My favorite song even plays here, and often times i'll sit, and listen to the beautiful music, of the chessboard!

Donald Trump chastised North Korea after the country showed �major disrespect� toward
China when it launched its ninth ballistic missile this year.
The White House said the president was briefed after North Korea fired another ballistic
missile test Monday � its third in nearly three weeks.
The South Korean military said it flew for about 280 miles before landing in the Sea
of Japan.
On Twitter Monday, Trump said: �North Korea has shown great disrespect for their neighbor,
China, by shooting off yet another ballistic missile�but China is trying hard!�
South Korea said the launch was �a severe threat to the peace and stability of not only
the Korean Peninsula, but also the international community.�
�Since our new government took office, North Korea has been frequently and repeatedly conducting
provocation in such manner,� South Korea�s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said a statement.
�This is in direct opposition to our demands in regards to the denuclearization and peace
of the Korean Peninsula.�
Japanese Prime Minster Shinzo Abe �the issue of North Korea is a top priority for the international
community.�
�Working with the United States, we will take specific action to deter North Korea,�
he added.

Sonic Mania ANALYSIS - Release Date Reveal Trailer (Secrets & Hidden Details) - Duration: 8:13.
Sonic Mania finally has an official release date thanks to its newest trailer.
And while this trailer could be considered short, especially on gameplay footage, it
perfectly captures the pure fun aesthetic of Sonic the Hedgehog and his world.
So we can't wait.
It's time to break out the old Analysis Machine to see what secrets and hidden details
this trailer holds.
So let's get right to it.
The first bit of gameplay we see is in Mirage Saloon Zone.
But before we even begin, we just have to marvel at how sharp this game looks.
You can see the details of a huge gathering of rocks in the desert leading out to a set
of plateaus.
Looking good is nothing new for Mania, but we still wanted to highlight it.
That's not to say there's nothing new here as we can see that Sonic is being chased
by a new kind of Roller Badnik.
This one is quite a bit different though, besides the red paintjob.
The Roller looks to be chasing Sonic through the level which may be its gimmick.
After all, we can see that less than 20 seconds has passed since it began.
It seems a little intense for something so early.
Especially since it even goes through the loop with Sonic.
But he is able to throw it off his trail, at least temporarily, as he completes the
loop and it collapses into sand, giving Sonic a chance to get ahead.
But the scene then shifts to show Tails and Knuckles in this same section, except the
time is over 50 seconds.
That's a pretty big difference for so early in the level, but the two of them might've
spent more time exploring since they can fly and climb respectively.
But the Roller is still after them as we see it attack Sonic, but a last second jump actually
prevents damage.
Instead, it throws off the Roller and causes it to unfurl.
We wonder if Sonic could then turn around and finish it off or if it would return to
its ball form too quickly for this tactic.
Unfortunately we don't see any more of it, but we do see a Caterkiller-like Badnik pop
in from above indicating that there's likely some kind of upper path to find.
Before we move on though, we wanted to return to that loop.
It's obviously made of sand thanks to its eventual collapse, but it's also designed
a bit like a totem pole with bird figurines at the top.
More interesting though is the pair of ring monitors.
Strangely, the right monitor's screen begins to flicker and get fuzzy as Sonic runs past.
Is it possible that it's actually a mirage?
I mean, it would fit the name of the Zone.
Although we do see other levels from the game, it's mostly things we've seen before,
with the exception of the newly revealed Stardust Speedway from Sonic CD.
The level has seen a pretty major overall with plants overrunning the entirety of the
Zone.
And they're not all nice as there's a hedgehog-eating plant front and center that
Sonic just jumps over, which could mean that it's invulnerable or at the very least,
you don't want to get anywhere near those teeth and are better off attacking from behind.
What we want to know is what the heck is this thing?
It has some huge eyes and looks like kind of a bird.
It also has some kind of afterimage behind it, but we have no idea what its significance
could be.
Maybe it's just a really freaky animal that Sonic rescued from a Badnik.
We really don't know.
But we do see another Badnik as Sonic continues on, this one shaped like some kind of bug
though there's nothing else to note about it.
More interesting is the metallic object on the ground that seems to act as a kind of
boost pad though its design is quite different.
It almost seems like some kind of gun or cannon as we can see a bullet casing pop out.
That in itself is a bit weird since it looks nothing like a gun or cannon, but that shape
is definitely a casing.
For the rest of Stardust Speedway, we can see random overgrown vines nearby as well
as city lights in the distance alongside a Greek-like building that rests a little closer.
There are even instruments lining the platforms like before although this time it's a harp.
Finally, as Sonic runs through this loop, we can see a spring on the left side that
likely leads to a new area.
Above is a pair of animal statues with a spring vine from Sonic 3 & Knuckles' Mushroom Hill
Zone that will probably flip Sonic forward as he runs across it.
We can't say we ever expected it to return in Stardust Speedway!
It's not just Sonic we'll be playing as in Mania though.
We see both Tails and Knuckles in action doing what they do best, but it's also incredible
to see just how fast Knuckles is moving through Studiopolis Zone.
Something must have really launched him.
Knuckles also has a funny moment within the trailer itself.
While it talks about how Sonic can run and Tails can fly, it also mentions how Knuckles
can climb with little addendums for both "& Glide" as well as "& Punch Too."
It's a little surprising how they didn't add "& Knuckles.!"
Even better is how they follow this up with what appears to be his idle animations where
he punches the air before doing his laugh from Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Tails' big moment is this scene in what looks to be a trash compactor on Flying Battery
Zone.
Inside we can see broken monitors, Eggman signs, Grounders, Motobugs, Choppers, and
a few other Badniks.
Why would anyone want to through Tails in the trash?
That's just not right.
But it does appear that this is the miniboss for Flying Battery, a kind of reference to
the Barrier Contraption Eggman used in both Sonic 2 and the original Flying Battery Zone.
It definitely has a different twist though we think we know how Tails will reach the
core to damage it.
There's a Flicky flying past Tails indicating that other Badniks will likely be dropped
in here allowing the player to use them as a springboard to attack the core.
It really shows how Sonic Mania is classic Sonic with a clever new twist.
That's not the only boss the trailer showed though as we saw Heavy Gunner's fight in
Studiopolis.
This member of the Hard Boiled Heavies is riding on Eggman's Eggmobile, which is currently
designed more like a helicopter with thin mech legs.
And while he's hard to see, Eggman is indeed inside the vehicle.
We can just make out his red shirt and yellow lapel despite his face being covered.
That's not a problem though as Sega has released official artwork of Sonic Mania's
Eggman, and he's pretty much what you'd expect.
As for Heavy Gunner, he's flanked by 3 Egg Robos.
Two of them are carrying police billy clubs while the one in front has Heavy Gunner's
rocket launcher that he eventually throws away and Heavy Gunner catches.
The flash that occurs seems designed to easily change Heavy Gunner's model to holding the
weapon without having to animate the change.
As for the boss fight itself, we're not sure if we'll fight the other 3 Egg Robos,
but the Heavy Gunner seems like a fight on the run rather than something stationary.
Okay, we're almost done here but there's still a few fun things to note about the Sonic
animation.
For one, when it's going through the process of drawing Sonic, it initially gives him bunny
ears which is a fun reference to Sonic being considered as a rabbit rather than a hedgehog
when Sega was designing him.
And at the end, when Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are entering the elevator, there are five
button choices: 1, 2, 3, K, and M. Or rather: Sonic 1, 2, 3, & Knuckles, and now Mania.
In addition, the panel's speaker is shaped like an emerald while another emerald, perhaps
the Master Emerald, is on top, surrounded by half a ring.
Is this just a fun nod, or could the Master Emerald really be part of the game?
It'd be pretty awesome to see the return of Hyper Sonic, Super Tails, and Super Knuckles
though we'd also need the return of the Super Emeralds as well.
We'll just have to wait and see, but it won't be much longer as Sonic Mania is released
on August 15th.
This looks to be an amazing send-up of classic Sonic that we can't wait to play.
Everything about this game just leaves us hyped.

soon as they click that link and it loads up their IP goes right to your

this video is probably going to be pissing a lot of people off especially
some youtubers however does the fact that other people are upset I mean
change anything so I'm gonna say it anyway however ever so quickly before we
get into what the truth is and why it's gonna piss off a lot of people we need
to talk about the big picture here and that is actually people safety in a way
because even the most intelligent of players can be affected by this style of
ddossing people and it is kind of scary so let's begin by looking at the money
situation so money was simply streaming on Twitch like he usually does and
somebody donated to him like usually happens on a twitch stream however there
was a little bit of a twist to this because this YouTube link was actually a
fake YouTube link as you guys saw in the beginning of the video the link that
money clicked on was actually a IP grabber the link was malicious and after
money click on it the guy got his IP and proceeded to ddos him on strength now
this is where stuff gets kind of interesting because the guy who DDoS
money is one experienced at doing what he does and two has probably done it on
multiple occasions now I'm not saying this because this guy was able to get a
streamer to click on a malicious link anybody and the grandmother can do this
but what this guy did was actually a little bit different and maybe I can
call it genius so what some DDoS is do when you're out
looking for people's IP to go ahead and ddos them but they firstly do is
generate themselves a IP grabber link and what this link does is that it
basically emails the IP address of anyone else who clicks that link now of
course this IP grabber link is going to look very suspicious and is
going to look very malicious no problem the next step this deed officer is going
to take is to spoof or to show them the link making it not look like a IP
grabber link and there's multiple websites in which they used to do this
and now the next step is to simply spread out this new spoofed or shouldn't
link to make people click it and to get their IP and then to simply DDoS them
now this is where stuff gets really really interesting guys because earlier
I said you can spoof links and what I mean by this is that in a way you can
change the name of the link so let's say this IP grabber linkage is called like
WWI pea gravel com you can change the link and shorten it
to make it just say bitly not something so in a sense you've changed the name of
the link but what you can't do is like spoof a link into what you want for
example I can't spoof wot com into W runescape calm no matter what if I click
or type in WS Capcom is going to take me to the runescape home page unless I'm
clicking a hyperlink which is a whole different story you know you're not even
able to link hyperlinks in donation messages so what I'm saying is you can
make a link look less dangerous than it already is
but you can't like edit a link to make it like some official website so this is
what stuff that's interesting when you look at the money situation
he literally clicks on ww2 comm and he gets his IP graft or does he he actually
doesn't because what this guy did is that he took a whole different route
what he did is the what the deed also did he did osmani what this deed officer
actually did is that he purchased the website domain
WW youtube.com/ not the youtube that we are currently on he actually purchased W
youtube.com in which one of the O's is a special character so yes when you do
click this detoxes link it seems like you're going to youtube.com you're
actually going on to his website so this deed also went ahead and took a
different route and bought himself his own website where he does now on the
website on his website he puts a IP grabber on there so anyone who clicks a
website he gets their IP and he also puts a redirect into this website
so when you click his fake YouTube website it redirects you to the no
morons normal YouTube website so it's almost like you believe you've clicked
on a youtube link in which nope you actually have gone through his
website your IP has been tracked and then you get taken to the normal YouTube
which is kind of genius and it you know it's different to what people normally
do which is kind of crazy now guys what is the moral of the story
today be careful what links you click on this technique is going to be obviously
used a lot on streamers but it can also be used on you nowadays people are on
stuff like teamspeak Twitter Facebook all of these social media websites in
which people freely are able to link you stuff be careful on the links you click
on be very careful even Gaia's Oh links can be spoofed as well any kind of link
actually can be spoofed you just got to be careful with the people you're
dealing with I mean I don't believe a random person is going to link you and
DDoS you normally it's gonna be people maybe you stake widow is situations and
with you know people in which they can take advantage of you I don't think a
random person is going to like try to ddos shoot because he probably doesn't
know your inscape name and how would this guy find you in DDoS you in the
first place so it's normally something that happens between maybe clans and
stuff like that so be very careful guys it's been happening the last couple
weeks the last month even this is something that's happened years for
years this has been going on in jaggus has turned a blind eye to it and i know
one of the first things that some of you guys are going to say are like why don't
you just keep your IP address private why do you you know go into teamspeak so
why do you do this and that and to me this really isn't a you know a
constructive way how to go about it because at the end of the day the way
that these guys are getting IP addresses of p cares is really clever methods
right yeah 0 8 to 1 was the guy that attacked you I
don't love my fucking ideas fuck this fucking shit fucking game 0 8 will not
sound
now deeply I am very sorry for any of you who have been ddos before but when
you somehow try to tie Jagex into it it really confuses me as to why when
someone is ddos it is their negligence that guy who is ddos somehow was able to
give his IP to the attacker now how does happened I don't know but it is not
Jagex is fault that your IP was linked it is actually your fault and when
people say Jagex are turning a blind eye or Jagex are not doing enough no offence
what can Jagex actually do just think to yourself for five minutes pretend like
your jagex and someone claims to have been ddos as a Jagex employee all I can
see is account details and account logs remember Jagex can't monitor your IP so
when someone stresses and turns off your internet jagex has no proof of this only
your internet provider does now of course I'm not going to say here and act
like there isn't obvious and blatant cases of people being ddosed on video
but at the end of the day is a video of you being attacked and be seeing enough
evidence no actually it is not and I can tell you why let's say right now I
record myself fighting spark Mak in the wilderness right all you have is my
video evidence I'm fighting spark Mak and then secretly I pull out my internet
connection so on the screen you're going to see me fighting spark Mac and then
IDC can I now use that video evidence to get spark Mac banned is almost identical
to how twitch deals would view butters they simply can't ban view butters
because there's no proof proving that that person who is streaming is
viewbotting himself it could be somebody else trying to get him back when you see
a video of so in DC and someone killing that person I mean it it seems obvious
that this guy has been DDoS pretty much like when Suns view botting it's obvious
but there's not enough evidence to condemn that person no matter how good
the proof looks because Jagex does not have access to your internet providers
detail they don't have access to your router for any cases I can see Jagex
taking action is when people be lost their own worlds like when people hit
the world's maybe they can lock that because it's their own server but when
someone's detoxing your own personal router
Jagex has no proof of your logs they don't even know your internet turned off
they probably have your IP of course but they don't know when your IP was turned
off so it's kind of hard like for them to do anything really it's more of you
doing something about it yourself not the company maybe call law enforcement
maybe get the cops on them but that's an issue because people SWAT ice poseidon
on a daily basis none of them have been caught so if you really think that Jagex
oh the law can catch these guys I guess you have another thing coming there's
literally nothing you can do other than protect yourself man seriously and even
if you keep banning these guys they are identical to gold sellers they just
simply buy a new account they put like 50k on it and they just repeat on a
different VPN there's like literally nothing you can do other than to protect
yourself so let's quickly and stuff so you guys can go home and quickly talk

Trump budget would abandon public education for private choice
The Trump administration has announced its plan to transform education funding as we
know it. The new budget proposal takes aim at a host of elementary, secondary and higher
education programs that serve needy students, redirecting those funds toward K-12 school
choice in the form of vouchers, tax credits and charter schools. The Conversation
Public schools that enroll a large percentage of low-income students stand to lose significant
chunks of their budget, as well as a number of specialized federal programs for their
students. At the same time, the Trump budget will incentivize families to leave not only
these schools, but public schools in general.
As a scholar of education law and policy, I note that my recent research on state voucher
and charter programs shows that the loss of both money and core constituents proposed
by this new budget could throw public education into a downward spiral.
The proposed changes in federal funding
Through Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the federal government currently
sends US$16 billion a year to public schools to provide extra resources for low-income
students. While Title I is the single largest federal grant, the federal government spends
more than twice that amount through a multitude of other programs. School systems like those
in Miami, Milwaukee, Houston, San Antonio and Detroit get anywhere from 15 to 25 percent
of their funding from the federal government.
The new budget proposes about $4 billion in cuts to programs like literacy for students
with disabilities and limited English proficiency, class-size reduction, and after-school and
summer programs.
The Trump administration promises the money is not really gone; it�s just coming back
under different policies. The administration plans to add $1 billion to Title I, but the
additional money comes with a big catch: States must spend that money on school choice. To
access the new money, states and districts would have to adopt student enrollment policies
that allow families to choose their own schools and take public money with them.
This would fundamentally change the way states have funded schools and assigned students
for the past century. While choice policies have significantly grown in recent years,
the vast majority of districts continue to assign students to a public school based on
where they live. If families choose to leave the district to attend another school (i.e.,
a charter school), local school funds remain with the district. A substantial chunk, if
not all, of state and federal dollars typically stay with the district as well.
Trump�s proposal would have all of the local, state and federal dollars follow the child,
regardless of the school the student attends. Choice advocates argue that this gets the
government out of the driver�s seat and brings market forces to bear on public schools.
Competition, they reason, will improve public schools and, thus, benefit everyone.
The threat to low-income schools
Studies have shown that while decreased student enrollment does reduce some public school
costs, other costs remain fixed. School buses drive the same routes. Air conditioners run
just as much. And, quite often, the school still needs the same number of teachers. When
states fail to account for these realities, they can drive school districts into bankruptcy.
Under Trump�s proposal, when a student enrolls in a charter school, that student will take
not only federal funding with them, but all of the state and local funding that previously
supported the local school. This would effectively reduce the funding for the local school without
reducing its costs.
The effect on high-poverty districts could be catastrophic. On average, school districts
serving predominantly low-income students already receive significantly less state and
local funding than others. In Nevada, for instance, predominantly middle-income schools
spend $10,400 per pupil, whereas schools serving just a moderate number of low-income students
spend only $6,100 per pupil. Taking more money away from needy schools would likely widen
these gaps.
States, of course, can stick with the traditional rules for spending federal Title I money,
but if they want additional money from Trump, they have to agree to his choice proposal.
History has shown that states are typically willing to do anything to get new federal
education money, even when it�s a bad idea. In 2009, Secretary Arne Duncan offered even
less money for states to adopt controversial teacher evaluation systems and the Common
Core. While those policies imploded within a few years, more than 40 states were initially
quick to take the deal.
The threat to public schools in general
The administration plans to go beyond the education budget alone. Although it is holding
back the details for now, the administration is close to proposing an entire new tax scheme
to fund private education. This new program would give individuals and businesses tax
credits for �donating� to organizations that pay for students� tuition at private
schools.
In the past, states have experimented with traditional school voucher programs, which
are typically limited to small numbers of low-income students. The new tax credit system,
by contrast, could be used by states to fund wealthier students � and could be opened
up to enrollment at religious schools as well.
As a result, enrollment in these programs has risen dramatically in comparison to traditional
vouchers. In states like Florida and Indiana, the size of these programs quadrupled in just
a few years.
A wolf in school choice clothing
On the surface, these policies are just about moving money around � freeing up traditional
public school funding to spur growth in charter and private schools. Below the surface, however,
I believe the new budget undermines confidence in public education.
North Carolina offers a cautionary tale. A few years ago, North Carolina slashed its
traditional education budget by 20 percent, while doubling its expenditures on charter
schools. Since then, North Carolina�s public schools have fallen from being among the finest
in the nation to some of the worst.
Policies like these misunderstand why we have public education in the first place. Our government
institutions have long funded public schools because they produce benefits for society
as a whole: productive citizens, social values, shared experiences and an effective workforce.
Individuals surely benefit, but the pursuit of these societal goals is the reason that
our states provide education.
Trump�s effort to reshape school financing reflects a vision of education that is not
public at all. This new vision is all about individuals, ignoring what may happen to our
societal values, public schools and the neediest students who will be left behind.

Overview of the Ofil UVolle-VX Corona Camera - Duration: 4:57.
Howdy-doo my name is Graeme Murphy, I'm a product manager here at TechRentals
Today we're going to look at the UVolle VX, this is a Corona Camera.
It's generally used to identify instances of Corona in medium voltages and high
voltage systems. Corona occurs when we have a break down insulation.
The item supplied in the kit by TechRentals, we've got the instrument
we've got the spare batteries we have a charger with the power supply
we have the microphone for recording audio onto it, we've also got an adaptor to allow you to
move the information from the memory stick and the instrument across to the PC
and we've got a video out adaptor and a strap to hang over your shoulder.
This is the unit itself, we've got the displays hidden under here just to show you we've got
our various IO options here we plug a mic in there, power, external USB memory
stick for copying the information across. We can also this is how we access the
battery, you flip this and replace them there's a couple of spare batteries so
we can get at least eight hours of work out of it when you rent this.
So let's have a look this is the, always take the lens cap off before you use it variably I forget to.
Open it up turning on is simply a matter of hitting this button
and the unit has turned on there we go it's turned on working
Okay we'll turn the instrument on, this is a menu down the side and there's various options available
here we move up and down the menu, using the up and down keys
simply hit this button here when we want to record that button to take a photograph.
This is a return key, now what I'm going to do the initial one
here is the UV gain, now you can see it's flashing little spots of the
distortion if you like because we've got the gain up very high now if I want to
bring the gain back you'll see that they disappear
they come up etc. So that's the UV gain I hit enter there I can come down
this is a visible zoom enter the UV zoom alters the size of the actual the
points it picks up so in other words when you if you're picking up a small image
you can actually make it a little larger. This here affects the colour of it
this is the autofocus and manual focus. This is to load items with previously
captured and then there's a maintenance menu down the bottom which you probably won't need
so we'll just go and have a quick look at what it looks like if we pick up an image
we'll just demonstrate what it looks like when we pick up a bit of
UV if you light this it's a quick way to test whether the instruments working

Okay now if I want to take an image of this I can simply hit this button takes a
photograph or if I want to record a video I hit this button it's now
recording you can tell that red button red light here now I'll stop all right
if I want to look back at that I come down to this menu item and I push enter
wait a couple seconds loading information out of memory and I can go
hvr this is today's year month day and the last video there was this one here
I recorded and we can play it back, here it is there, very simple instrument to
operate highly effective. The corona cameras are a really quick, easy way to
identify the location of faults, they won't give you a magnitude because
the amount of Corona is a function of humidity
on the day and temperature etc but you can walk along and look at assets
and you can very quickly identify where you've got problems
you then follow up with additional tests for example from a PD test measuring
the actual DB level in acoustically or electromagnetically.
This is an example of measurements made in the field by this type of instrument
it's clearly visible where the issues are you would follow up this inspection
with a visual inspection of the actual insulators etc
