Waching daily May 26 2017

Yo Yo, It's KESTA

Represent SERPAT CREW

NSA, Beats House Records

We are in front of "Cash Express" in Le Havre

We gonna do a "Rhythm Roulette" principle but French way

Because they go in nice records with selective vinyls

They got Jazz, they got Soul

So we are making it harder, typically French

We are going to dig in records that got no comparison with

We are going to take vinyls.. Don't know what we are going to find

It will certainly be Sardou, Clayderman, etc..

.. and we will have to make a beat with it !

Let's go mate !

Ok so "A l'Orgue Hammond"

I may find some stuff in it

Ferrat 80, this is not my hit

But that's the game

"Grande Première à Vienne"

We will see

I stake everything on "A l'Orgue Hammond"

Let's Go

A beat for a 5-euros dig man

Jean Ferrat, 80s

Not my hit... Let's see what we could slog away

Watch out

(DjarOne): Sampled by La Cliqua

DjarOne would be happy but It's not my hit

Little intro

"Grande Première à Vienne"

By the great Vienna Symphony Orchestra directed by Wahlberg

Well...

To be frank, all my hope are on "A l'Orgue Hammond"

Even if with Ferrat we may have something

Ouh "Les Disques Trêteaux"

It was Daniel Janin's label

He released some stuff on it

That's something for J-Zone

I'll play it tonight

I think we are going back on Jean Ferrat

I'll make the beat from here

Ok now I need to get some little variants

It's a bit loud, no ?

I have to wedge it better

Let's put a hat here

Hell no

I should save it because it often crashes

And I don't know why, my mouse stopped

First time it happens to me

Not a big deal

It goes well above

That's worse, It's hardcore

Well I think I'm done

I don't really see...

I don't know...

I don't know !

Hey Yo, It was Kesta, Serpat Crew

Here it is for Cash Roulette (De Le Mort Qui Tue) first episode

I made a beat with Jean Ferrat

"Pour Être Encore en Haut de l'Affiche"

Catched at "Cash Stuff" near the City Hall

It was the first episode, I hope you enjoyed

Let's wait for the next one

Peace

Brunch At Home! Savory Rosemary French Toast 😍 🍞 ft. @chefevelyn - Duration: 6:31.

- Hey girl, hey.

It's Chef Evelyn here.

If you're like me, you love brunch.

But if you're also like me,

you really don't like wearing pants.

So that means sometimes, you're gonna have to

do brunch at home.

Cue the French toast.

I'm a classically trained chef and a fellow foodie,

so trust me when I say I love eating out.

But sometimes there's nothing like a home cooked meal.

Especially brunch, though, right?

'Cause sometimes you've been out all night,

you had a few too many drinks,

and ain't nobody got time to be gettin' out the bed.

(groaning)

This dish is a take on traditional French toast.

We're gonna swap out the sweet batter

for a savory batter that has rosemary in it.

We're gonna switch out the maple syrup

for a balsamic reduction.

And instead of topping the French toast

like you normally would with strawberries,

we're gonna do it with a tomato salad

with a little bit of garlic and extra virgin olive oil.

Trust me, it's gonna be delicious.

So to get started, we're gonna start

by making our batter, right?

And whatever kind of French toast you're making,

this is the same procedure.

So, I've got four eggs here,

and I'm just gonna crack it right into the bowl.

(jazzy music)

Now we're just gonna whisk these up.

And I find it much easier to whisk the eggs

when there's no liquid in the bowl.

Now I'm just gonna add some half and half.

If you don't have half and half,

you can add some heavy cream or whole milk,

but I wouldn't do skim milk.

So to this mixture, I'm gonna add some salt,

because we need some flavor.

I'm using kosher salt, you can use sea salt.

But whatever you do, you don't wanna use iodized salt.

And the reason I don't like to use iodized salt

is because the flavor is really aggressive

and with kosher salt and sea salt, it's a lot smoother.

You don't get that strong iodine taste.

Now we're going in with some fresh cracked black pepper.

I always like to use freshly ground black pepper

because the flavor's more intense and it keeps

the spices longer.

Just gonna whisk that together.

Now we're gonna add some herbs.

We're gonna add some rosemary and some

Italian flat leaf parsley.

(jazzy music)

So our batter is all ready.

You can make this the night before, sit it in the fridge,

let the flavors meld together,

or you could just use it right now.

So now it's time to dip the bread.

We've got out batter here, and we've hot some challah bread

that I've set out overnight,

because traditionally when you make French toast,

it was made with stale bread, so we sit it out

to get it nice and crusty on the outside

so that it can soak up all of the batter.

I like using challah bread because it holds

up much better than traditional white bread

when you cook it and you soak it in the batter.

If you can't find challah bread, you can use brioche,

but you don't wanna use white sandwich bread.

So you just wanna dip it in the batter,

and let it hang out in here for about 30 seconds

to one minute, and then you wanna move it to a plate.

So now that I've soaked my challah bread

in my rosemary parsley mixture, I'm gonna

take it over to the stove, I'm gonna sear it

in a little bit of butter over medium high heat,

and then we're gonna finish it in the oven.

(jazzy music)

So while the toast is in the oven,

we're gonna make the balsamic reduction

and we're gonna make the tomato topping.

So, to make the balsamic reduction,

which is kind of like our syrup,

we're just gonna take some balsamic vinegar,

gonna pour it into a saucepan,

just like that,

and we're gonna put it on the stove on a medium high heat

until it reduces by half and has

the thick syrup-like consistency.

So now let's put together the tomato salad.

So I've got some rainbow cherry tomatoes here,

and I'm just gonna take a couple and cut 'em in half,

right, we're gonna put 'em right into our bowl.

But listen, cutting tomatoes in half one by one

takes all day.

So, I'm gonna show you trick on how you can cut

the time in half, and I promise you this tip

is gonna change your life.

You're gonna take tomatoes of about the same size,

and you're gonna take two lids, two plates,

two saucers, as long as they're the same size,

put the tomatoes in an even layer, take the other lid,

put it right on top.

You have to have a sharp knife to do this,

and if you're not sure if your knife is sharp,

use a serrated knife.

Take your knife, the tomatoes, cut through,

and voila, your tomatoes are cut in half.

So now that we've got our tomatoes all sliced up

and looking beautiful, we're gonna add some garlic to it.

So, I just have two fresh garlic cloves here.

Please do not use the jarred stuff,

I can taste the difference.

And I'm gonna take my knife,

and with the heel of my knife, I'm just gonna smash

my garlic, just like that.

And pull the skin off.

Now we're just going to mince up our garlic.

(jazzy music)

Now that we've added our garlic to our tomatoes,

I'm just gonna add a little bit of lemon juice,

and I'm rolling the lemon and putting some pressure on it,

just to break up the juice on the inside.

Little bit of lemon juice right in there, just like that.

We're also gonna add a little bit of extra virgin olive oil

just to make like a little dressing,

just until it glistens.

Some salt.

And some fresh cracked black pepper.

Now we're just gonna mix it all together.

And this is the topping for our rosemary French toast.

(jazzy music)

Stop Wasting Energy on Negative Thoughts - Duration: 8:30.

Stop Wasting Energy on Negative Thoughts

by Edward Morgan

Our minds get side tracked so easily. One small thought can take us on a journey into

the past or into the future. It is hard for the mind to stay in the moment, the now.

The mind elaborates, embellishes, exaggerates, distorts, assumes and can take us away from

the truth of a situation.

It can invent all sorts of stories and mischief around quite harmless incidents that on reflection

have a perfectly logical explanation.

Add emotions to the mix and chaos ensues.

Our past fears and anxietys can distort truth beyond recognition. We use our past

feelings and emotions to make sense of new experiences.

If our past feelings are negative we continue in the same way, continually looking at situations

from a negative view point.

Similarly if past feelings are positive this will also reflect our current attitudes.

With our mind and emotions involved it is hard for us to stay in a place of love, peace

and harmony, but this is what we must try to do.

Calm the mind, calm the emotions and we should then be able to calm our spirit and raise

our vibration.

I notice my mind most when I try to meditate; it seems to be constantly chattering away

flitting from one subject to the next, from the past into the future.

It is very hard to still the mind to find a place of stillness and silence.

We need to be still, we need to stop and think. Our souls are crying out to be set free, but

we are not listening.

Once we can create space in our lives and minds we can make room for the truth to enter.

We are whizzing about so fast we can only see part of reality, there is so much more

to the world than what we can see, so much more. The more you look the more you find.

The mind needs to be understood otherwise it is like a wild horse, it is wayward and

reckless.

If we can observe our thoughts and feelings we can focus on what is important in our lives

and what is not so important. We can prioritize and stop wasting energy on negative thought

patterns.

This is easier said than done in todays world.

Technology Takes Over

Everyone is rushing around with mobile phones stuck to their ears. We are in constant communication

with everyone. We never rest.

We are texting friends and family, looking at Facebook constantly, sending tweets, looking

at the internet, online shopping it never ends.

We are continually doing things rather than being.

When we sit still and in silence we panic, we are alone with our thoughts and it scares

us. We do not seem able to stop, sit and be silent.

We cannot just be.

Each day the world gets crazier and crazier, friends gather and socialize but they do not

talk to each other anymore, they are all looking at their mobile phones, talking to someone

else rather than the person in front of them.

They walk down the streets with phones stuck to their ears rather than looking around them

at what is going on.

In the past we had landlines, we could only talk to someone when we were near a landline.

So many young people today have grown up with mobile phones and feel lost without them.

Now every second of our day is controlled by our mobile phones, how would people survive

without them, its as if it has become part of them, an extension to their brain.

They see technology as vital to their existence; slowly they get further and further away from

nature and the earth. Further away from themselves, they are turning into a figment of their own

imaginations. They are no longer real.

They are slipping into a technological soup, full of gadgets and social media, swimming

around in a sea of chatter and ego, losing themselves completely and losing their souls

in the process.

Virtual Reality

We are addicted to drama, to things happening all the time; we cant cope with silence

and peace.

This need for drama and action drives our conversations, distorting our words, adding

extra words, extra scenes trying to make our lives more interesting trying to make us more

likeable and lovable.

We will use any methods we can to this end, even if it means hurting others and putting

others down, as long as we get a response as long as we get acknowledged and we get

attention. We are all addicted to getting attention.

Our lives appear on Facebook as perfect, just like in a fairy tale, the truth does not enter

into it; we project a perfect world that we live in, when it couldnt be further from

the truth.

We are all in denial we are all addicted to this social media world, this perfect imaginary

world.

Its a dream world its not real, the real world is much more interesting and exciting.

We are so much more than we imagine, we can do so much more, but we are wasting ourselves,

each and every day.

We are wasting our time and our energy, wasting it on shallow pursuits that leave us feeling

empty and lost, so we try even harder to get attention as we are totally addicted to being

noticed and acknowledged.

We carry on living in our virtual reality worlds, pretending that all is well, everything

is perfect.

Conclusion

This is how the powers that shouldnt be want it, they do not want us to stop and think,

if we stop and think and look around us, we see all the injustice, all the misery and

we see all that is wrong with our world.

It is all part of the process of keeping us asleep and under their control, taking us

further and further away from this moment, the now.

In this moment, this now, lets project love, peace and harmony out to the world,

the real world, lets get away from misery and suffering, madness and chaos, lets

leave our virtual reality worlds behind, lets switch off our phones and talk to the person

in front of us.

Lets not forget we are all in this together, whatever we do to others only hurts ourselves.

Lets be aware of every moment and think about what we are doing and saying, are we

hurting others, are we spreading distortions to try and make our world more interesting?

Have our minds run away with us; have we become disconnected from our true selves, our souls?

The now is all we have, the past has gone and the future doesnt exist, all we have,

all of us, everywhere in the universe, the multiverse, every living being, all we have

is the now, this moment, now.

And this moment now, can change everything, use it wisely.

That is waterproof...

But you never put it in the water!?

No way, dude!

What if it damages the phone??

I asked Duda:

"Duda shall we record a vlog putting your phone into water??"

*I see panic in Duda's eyes*

Daily Vlog

Episode 10:

Duda's Private Party!

Duda, What am I doing here?

You're hanging at my place.

Why?

Because you love me.

Duda texted me yesterday:

"Hey! Come to my house!"

Then me: "oh, what you'll do there?"

Then she said: "Oh I'll just clean the house."

Oh yea dude! That's right!

Oh sh... cleaning the house...

I just had some lunch guys!

Look,

I just had lunch,

And it's...

*3:26 p.m.*

You guys can see how this cousin love works.

Your cousin invites you to clean the house together.

Yea dude!

While I clean the dust you make sure everything's neat.

or another suggestion,

While you clean the whole house...

I vlog you suffering to post it online.

Yea I know it's going to be just like this.

I'm sure you won't get up from this couch.

How am I supposed to get up from this sweet couch?

This thing right here, look

It can move foward.

- What thing? This thing? - Yep.

What you mean "it move foward"?

- You can move it foward. - Wait, hold on.

Look how rude I am, using shoes in a couch.

I think you're lost.

- Like this? - Yea.

- ohhh... - That's it.

So you can stay like this?

You just found a really cool way to lay on a couch.

Like this?

Duda, I'll never get up from this couch again.

Hey guys! Did you miss my person here?

I'm back.

I don't know what to say on a vlog.

Well, you can say anything.

Anything.

You can talk about your life,

You can tell the viewers about your day.

What did you do today?

oh.

err....

...nothing.

But here's the thing:

You're not supposed to look at the camera's screen,

You need to look at the camera lense,

Sou you'll be looking into the viewers's eyes.

got it.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about.

How was my day:

I got out of bed,

Because, this thing here,

Was arriving here,

What time was it?

I think it was like, 1:30 p.m.

Got out of the bed at 1:30 p.m.

Said to myself: "gotta do something productive about my life now"

She picked up her favorite cousin on the subway.

- Yep. I picked him up. *Duda still looking at the camera's screen*

We came back, talked a little, had some lunch,

Now we're like this.

We're just like this.

Now Duda needs to clean the whole house...

Yep now I have to...

LIER! I don't need to clean the WHOLE house!

Are you insane??

oh guys!

People do know which room is this.

We already recorded some videos here.

Yes! That's true guys!

Don't you remember?

Let me help you:

There's this painting...

me... *jumpscare*

couch...

There's a door there...

and here's Túlio...

Wait, hold on dude!

Túlio with his legs all wide open!!!

The videos we recorded...

The camera was in this position.

We recorded Dynamite on this room.

yep.

I was the last coach.

And I was the second girl...

I only knew the last coach's moves.

It was the same as the first guy, but I like the last better.

Do you remember the whole song?

...no.

- What's next? - Then we stop and...

And then we do something like...

And then...

And a spin.

And there was this move,

The girls does something like this...

uh?

And then the guys does something like this.

Then we stop and we move back,

Then we do this again,

Then we continue doing like...

then...

Then it was this move, right?

yep.

Then this way...

This way...

this way...

What else? That's it, right?

That's the whole song because we can only remember these moves.

*Duda singing brazilian song*

"A kiss for the good people..."

"A kiss for tranny ladies!"

"A kiss for single people,"

"A kiss for feminine boys,"

"A big kiss for my...."

I missed the lyrics!

"A kiss for who's far away..."

"A kiss for nearby people,"

"A big kiss for my angel,"

"A kiss for tranny ladies!"

Wonderful, Duda!

*Duda singing another brazilian song* - "Your love just caught me..."

"Hit me so hard that just KO'd me..."

A very nice angle of the flowers...

With you sweeping the floor behind them.

Look, I just cut my lips.

How did you do that?

I pulled out the skin.

*Túlio's suffering af*

Dude you can't say that!

Ow... ow... afl...

Is "afliceta" we say? You know afliceta?

You never heard this therm "afliceta"? *alternate meme way of saying 'Affliction'*

Is affliction, dude.

You say "afliceta".

No! If something happens you say:

"ow! Affliction!"

Afliceta.

*Duda's death stare*

While I'm having fun

Running with the doggie,

Let's water the plants.

let's water the plants.

That's it.

Is the best part.

Can you do that cool thing?

What?

With your finger.

- ...what? - Put your finger in the rose.

That's it!

*doorbell rings*

That's so fun.

Luisa just arrived.

Do you know what this part of your house remembers me?

*Internal joke of me and Duda*

- Look who arrived. - Hey vlog.

You know what's also funny?

Recording all those places,

It seems like we are even in a farm, right?

They used to have some chickes here too,

So that time I came to spend the night here,

We were awakened by the chickens.

It was lots of fun, Duda.

THIS WAS FUN TO HIM WHEN HE WAS LIKE,

SPENDING SOME DAYS HERE,

NOW WE THAT ACTUALLY LIVED HERE,

WE WERE ALWAYS AWEKENED BY THOSE FREAKIN CHICKENS

IT WAS SOOO GREAT. *Duda's mad af*

I always used to wake up very early.

Right, Duda?

Ow dude... oh no.

This thing is a b*stard.

Is a son of a...

Everyone was like:

"Oh let's sleep early. okay."

... 2 a.m.

So we were supposed to wake up at 1 p.m on the next day,

Túlio always woke up 7 in the morning.

- And this if he didn't wake up at 6:3... - But, no dude...

Shut up! I'm talking!

And this if he didn't wake up at 6:30 a.m.

And turned on the videogame.

But he didn't wake us up.

S...

He used to do better.

- He turned on the videogame... - You see she's clearly lying, right?

SHUT UP DUDE

He turned on the videogame...

- IN MAX VOLUME! - LIER!

Dude ur a lier, no, look.

I never woke up anybody.

I could just woke up all of you.

I never woke up them,

And then I used to let the TV's volume very shhh....

*Look at Duda's face again*

I'll share a nostalgic moment with you now.

I used to play,

In this room with Duda and Pabline when we were kids.

Look at this, guys. Very nostalgic.

There's still a bunch of stuff here,

Those chairs are still here,

That old chalkboard...

There's a very creepy Jimmy Five over there... *a classic character from a Brazilian comic book*

This is yours, right Túlio?

Yep, that's mine.

Hiii!

Look who's here!

I'm heeere,

You almost saw my game cards.

Let me show to the viewers my cards...

Oh wait, Túlio's playing.

Guys, all these doggies...

All of these,

Are sons of this gorgeous here.

- Hii... - How many doggies, gorgeous?

There are 7 here, look:

Bob, Marley, Bidu...

Dudu...

Dominique, Mila...

and Pretinha.

Seven.

Taking care of 7 babies.

And Luisa is right there.

Hey Daily Vlog.

Hi Daily Vlog!

Y'all are so cute! <3 <3

Aww so cute!

Look that cute one guys.

Look at this doggie, guys.

Who's Bob and who's Marley?

Bob is the little one.

Marley is this... kangaroo here.

This very cute kangaroo.

- What you gonna cook for us? - Brigadeiro!!!

A very delicious fat food <3 *brigadeiro is a traditional brazilian sweet*

Delicious fat food <3 <3

We already had some french fries,

That Duda cooked for us, or almost... right?

We also had some nuggets,

Now we gonna eat what what what??

- Geez we are only getting fatter. - Brigadeiro. <3

Getting fat, but today we can.

- We can do that on weekends! - I've gained 30kg already.

- It's saturday, we are allowed to. - Where's Duda?

Sassy brigadeiro made by our gorgeous Auntie Bi (Pabline)

Everyone will wait to eat now, so that no one can have bellyache after.

Ow Pabline but this brigadeiro here...

It doesn't seem he wants to wait to be eaten.

It looks very creamy.

Is the bellyache after brigadeiro worth it?

I think it is.

I think is worth it as well.

ow my teeth.

ow.

Ouch.

*The most disgusting scene you will see today.*

OUCH MY TEETH...

OW SH*T

My teeth, sh*t!

Duda is also suffering a little bit.

*Look all the pain in Duda's eyes*

It's so hot!

Dude the texture is the same as bubblegum! (?)

Ow so yummy!

Guys look,

So you get hungry while we eat, ok?

What's going on here.

We're having...

*Túlio gets a full spoon of brigadeiro* - Oh geez!

A very sociable night, eating a...

Very sassy.

- Eating a delicious brigadeiro with gum texture. - so delicious.

Then,

Who came up with this stupid potassium thing?

- No! Let me explain it! - It was Luisa!

I was getting some cookies to eat...

- To eat with brigadeiro... - No dude it started with Luisa's mom!

This whole potassium story.

- No, Duda. - Yes it was!

He's explaining the doggie theory first. Breathe, girl.

But he's saying...

*Duda and Pabline starts arguing*

But he was talking about potassiu...

WE CAN TALK ABOUT POTASSIUM SHIT LATER DUDA

So I went getting some cookies,

But Duda said: "What is this thing??"

It were just some cookies.

Then Gabi asked if I was eating doggie cookies,

Because I was giving the dogs some doggy cookies before,

Then Túlio came with his Doggie Theory.

Please, Túlio.

Your Doggie Theory.

...your Doggie Theory, dude!

So, what happened, right. *everyone's confused af*

...then I said to the girls,

What I thought about.

What was on my mind this whole time.

Every pet owner,

Once in their lives stopped to think:

How does my pet's food taste like?

I haven't.

To know if it has some good quality, right.

Yes, to know about the qua...

No! Wait, no, no! *The girls are dying in the background*

- It's not even about the good quality! - Who never did that, right?

Is only about the taste: "is it yummy my pet's food?"

So people get some pet's food,

Feel the texture, smells it a bit,

Lick it a little,

And eat it!

I already done that with my cats and dog's food.

- I already done that too. *Gabi's shocked now*

- Look at this! - Just to see if it was good!

And it tastes like nothing!

The standart dog food tastes like dye,

Now the dog cookies tastes like nothing.

lol, dye.

yep.

Now let's talk about the potassium story.

Tell them about potassium.

How this story started.

You just didn't do this dude, oh no.

What happened?

She just dipped the salt cookie into brigadeiro!

But it tastes so good!

I'm doing this too!

Mixing salty and sweet is so good!

Ohh I love to do that!

See!

I want some.

ANYWAYS! *Duda seems pissed*

No! Don't do that!

No! Don't dip this thing in the brigad...

NOOOO

*Too late Duda*

Wasn't I supposed to do that?

- nooo.... - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOU

Happy birth...

gimme that.

Actually you're supposed to put it on your spoon.

...anyways.

- Humm so yummy. *zoom at Duda's face 666X intensifies*

So instead of typing normal laughing,

We were just typing "potassium"

Because potassium on 'periody table'...

...periodic.

Periody.

Is letter 'k'. *K is the letter brazilians use to laugh online*

- 'Periody table' lol. - So potassium turns into a lot of "kkk".

*THANKS FOR MAKING ME EXPLAIN A SUPER UNFUNNY JOKE FOR OUR NON SPEAKING PORTUGUESE VIEWERS DUDA. SO MUCH FUN.*

So cool, uh?

Well at least it was funny at the beggining, Duda.

Yes.

May Book Haul - Duration: 8:37.

Hi everyone. I'm Rincey and this is Rincey Reads.

Today I'm going to be doing

a May book haul. Usually every month I do

sort of like a book of the month unboxing

and I might include some other books in

that unboxing video. But I recorded an

unboxing video earlier this month and

then my sd card broke so I lost that

footage. So I'm just going to record a

regular book haul. I have a bunch of

books to show off. Three of them are my

Book of the Month picks. I have a couple

of others because I got a quarterly box

this month as well and then I bought

some books and was sent some books by

publishers. So I figured I would just do

a regular old-fashioned book haul. So the

three books that I got this month from

the book of the month are the leavers by

Lisa Ko, woman number 17 by edan lepucki,

and then since we fell by Dennis Lehane.

So if you haven't watched my book

hauls before I generally don't like to

know too much information about a book

before reading it. So I'm going to talk

about these books in very vague terms.

I give very poor synopsises,

but there are links always in the

description to the books I talk about.

So you're welcome to do your own

research if you'd like. This one I know

is about a Chinese mother and her son.

Mother is taken away because she's an

illegal immigrant and then the son is

adapted by I believe a white family. I'm

not completely sure about that detail.

And so I think it's about him sort of

figuring out his identity and figuring

out about his biological family

and all of that stuff that sort of has

to do with adoption. I'm really excited

about this book because one, it deals

with immigrant stories but it also deals

with adoption. I really appreciate a good

adoption related stories because it's

just something I personally care a lot

about. And so reading books from the point of

view of characters who have been adopted

and sort of are dealing with that dual

identity almost sort of thing really

interests me. So I'm really excited to

read this one. There's a pretty good

chance I'm going to have this one read

before the month is out. Woman number 17

was the book that I was like the most

excited that I saw that they had. I read

California whenever it came out a couple

of years ago and really enjoyed it. So I've

been looking forward to Edan Lepucki's

follow-up and I've heard pretty good

things about this one. It's supposed to

be sort of like suspenseful,

creepy, I don't think it's a thriller but

it has sort of like an edge to it.

There is this woman who decides to

separate from her husband and

moves out with her children. And so she's

working on a book and she realizes she

needs some help so she puts up an ad

looking for someone to be sort of like a

nanny and housekeeper sort of situation.

This woman answers but then things start

getting sort of weird.

Her relationship, the like nanny woman's a

relationship with like her son seems

like borderline inappropriate, things

like that. It has a very like single

white female sort of vibe to it at least

based on the synopsis. So I'm kind of

really interested to see how this goes.

And then for since we felt by Dennis

Lehane, Dennis Lehane is best know it's

well known for his book like Mystic

River and Shutter Island, which are made

into movies. This one I heard is really

different from other books that Dennis

Lehane has written. I've heard this one

is slightly slower and more of like a

character based story. So I'm intrigued

to see how it goes I've heard a lot of

people who are like big Dennis Lehane

fans don't necessarily like this one

that much. But because I'm not like a

huge Dennis Lehane person, this one might

actually appeal to me. So again just really

interested to see how this one goes for

me. And then like I said I got a

quarterly box. Quarterly is another one

of those subscription services.

They put out their boxes quarterly, obviously.

And it's a little bit more expensive.

But the way that it works right now is they

have like a specific author that they

highlight the new book that's coming out

from them and then that author also

picks two books that they recommend or

want other people to read or whatever.

So the author for this month was Jeff

Vandermeer who's probably best well known

for his trilogy that came out a couple

of years ago. Annhiliation, I believe is what

it was called. I never read that one. But

this one is his new book called Borne.

And as per usual quarterly does the

thing where they also have the authors

like annotate their book. So they'll

always put these like post-it notes with

the author's handwriting and it'll

have notes about the story or like the

writing process or whatever the author

wants to include. I've heard really,

really good things about borne, even from

people who didn't really like his first

series very much. This one's getting

really good reviews from basically

everyone and this covers like insane

looking. Jeff Vandermeer is known for

weird and creepy things so again I'm

just intrigued to see how this goes

because I feel like there's no real way

to prepare you for Jeff Vandermeer book.

And then the two books that he recommended

or provided in the box were the blue fox

by a Reykjavik author whose name I'm

not going to try to pronounce because I

know better than that.

And the other one is Gunshot by Amelia

gray. Both of these are books that, well

I've heard of the blue fox before and

I've heard this author before. I've never

heard of gunshot by Amelia gray.

So one of the reasons why I do like

quarterly is because I think they do

a good job or the authors do a good job of

providing books that fit with them but

also might not be as well-known. So I'm

really interested to see how these two

go because these are things I would

never read otherwise. And then I have one

book that was sent to me by a publisher

and that is the nakano thrift shop

by Hiromi Kawakami.

And this was translated by Allison Markin Powell

This was put out by Europa

editions here in the United States.

They are probably best well-known for putting

out the Elena Ferrante books here

in the United States. But yeah they

contacted me or they emailed me about

this book and it sounds completely

delightful. Apparently he is, he? She?

I actually don't know the gender of this

author. I shouldn't make an assumption.

Her. She is very well known in Japan.

She's becoming sort of like a

best-seller over there and so I think

her books are slowly getting translated

here into English. This one is supposed

to be just like a really heartwarming

story about objects and about people and

your purpose and your usefulness and

sort of how like people and things that

don't necessarily have like an overt use,

"overt use" to them, they still are very

valuable for other reasons. So yeah,

I feel like I need something slightly

heartwarming and good to read because I

feel like in general I tend to pick up

really depressing books and when the

world is depressing sometimes we need

something to counteract that. So I feel

like this will be that book for me.

And then I have three books that I picked up

recently that I'm really excited to read

all of them. The first one is the

complete fiction of Nella Larsen.

This includes passing, quicksand, and then a

couple of her short stories. I picked

up all three of these at a used

bookstore. And basically with Nella

Larsen I was looking up classics by authors

of color because that is one of the book

riot read harder challenges. And Nella

Larson's name came up

and her book sounded just really

interesting. So in my head I was like

oh I should probably get one of

Nella Larsen's books from the library. Then I

came across this at the used bookstore

and I was like well this just feels like fate.

Nella Larsen was a writer during the

Harlem Renaissance. I believe that like

passing deals with sort of being a

light-skinned black woman in the United

States during that time period. I believe

that quicksand deals with a mixed-race

person. So intrigued by her writing and

to see what her books have to say and

I've heard really amazing things about

Nella Larsen in general. So again excited to

read this. And then I got this is the

story of a happy marriage by Ann

Patchett. This is a collection of essays,

I believe. Essays or short stories.

Pretty sure it's essays. I love Ann

Patchett. I am solely working my way

through all of her books and just as I'm

coming across them at bookstores I

picked them up. So yeah just it's been

excited to read more Ann Patchett.

And then the one I was probably the most

excited about was the bastard of

Istanbul by Elif Shafak. Again I've said

this a million times on this channel.

I love Elif Shafak. She wrote some of my

favorite books that are out there in the

world. The bastard of istanbul, I believe

is her most well known bestseller sort

of book. And this is sort of the one that

whenever I talk about Elif Shafak, people are

like oh you have to read the bastard of

istanbul. So I finally own it so I'm

going to read it. And this will probably

get done sooner rather than later because I'm

super excited for it. How many times did

I say super excited in this video? I have

no idea but you could probably turn that

into a drinking game. Anyway, those are all

the books that I have for you guys. Feel

free to leave a comment down below

letting me know if you've read any of

these books and what your opinions were

on them. Even if you didn't like them,

I like knowing that as well. Or if you

have any questions about any of these books

or the authors I talked about or the

subscription boxes, I'll have links to

both of them down in the description,

or if there's a book in here that you are

excited for me to read, let me know that

as well. And yeah that's all I have for

now and thanks for watching.

Android app development tutorial #12(Registration task-1) - Duration: 10:37.

hello guys welcome back again to my

channel in kunsh deep and today in this

video we are going to work on the

registration page of our application

okay so let's start okay so guys we are

in our project as you know in the

previous lecture we have done

successfully the login dot Java file and

we have also successfully logging a user

and now we are going to work on our

registration page where we will register

our new user and also use for the

authentication that is for provide the

email verification method password

resetting and this is a username and

it's information into the database now

okay so guys I'm going to start let's

see how I am going to do this

and

you

Oh

okay so guys our basic coding for the

registration has been completed as you

can see here first I have declared the

edit text for the name email and

password you can see here and same for

the button and the textview

textview is in the bottom you can see to

go back to the login page if user has

already login itself and then the

firebase auth for to the authentication

which I have told in my previous

lectures you can see it from there and

the database reference I have

included here but I am not using it

currently I will to tell you it about

into the next lecture and I have here

also include the string that is for the

name email and password and progress

dialog box okay here first I have

implemented the onclicklistener then

that is Here mAuth

we are going to call the firebase auth

instance and you can see in the click

listener I have provided that if the

user click on the register button so it

will jump into the user register method

which will be declared here and if it is

pressed to the text view to go back the

login class so it will start activity

and go back to the login class section

in the user registration you can see

these three strings which we have

included upper there so they get the

text from the edit text and into the

string and I have provided some

condition here if any one of the boxes

is empty so it will toast you toast your

message that is enter the name email or

a password if the password is also less

than six digits so it will send a

message or a popular message of the

password must be greater than the six

digit then we have declared here dialog

box and then the finally this is a mAuth

dot create a user with the email and

password so here we are going to create

a user then we have adhere the on

complain listener when the task is

completed that is successful so dialogue dialog box will be disappeared and

the user will be register successfully

if it is not successful or complete the

task so it will toast you a message that

error is on creating a user so okay so

guys this is for today and we will

continue into the next lecture into the

next lecture we will learn how we can

save the data or the information which

the user has been provided or how we can

verify the email address okay so guys

thanks for today and subscribe my

5 Problems with LG G6... - Duration: 3:45.

LG has been working hard on their G lineup ever since the original LG G1, they're working

hard and even though they've had a few failures over the years, they don't let them affect

their business and they keep pushing.

I highly respect that, in my opinion LG G6 is currently the 3rd best flagship, right

after the Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus but of course the phone is not perfect

and could be improved.

Today we're going to talk about the LG G6 and it's problems, we'll be talking about

what could be improved next year and what you need to consider before buying the device.

Like with many other smartphones these days the camera on this thing is absolutely briliant

in the day time when you have a lot of available light but where the G6's camera starts to

suffer is in the night time in low light situations.

Just like with any other smartphone the pictures get a bit more pixelated and choppy, they

aren't as clear and I'm sure LG could have improved it.

Other than that the camera is absolutely perfect, just don't expect anything over the moon when

you'll be shooting in low light situations.

Up next we have a slight downside which consists of Android optimization and LG's skin – many

people have been reporting occasional lag on the device when typing and scrolling, LG

has been working on this for many years now and it looks like they'll need to continue

putting in work to make this issue go away.

Who knows maybe they'll release an update soon which fixes all the listed problems,

we shall see about that.

Many smartphone manufacturers are now including a fingerprint sensor on their device, actually

let me correct my sentence, all smartphone manufacturers are including a fingerprint

sensor on their devices and I'm not complaining.

Fingerprint sensors on phones like the OnePlus 3T, iPhone 7 Plus, Galaxy S8 are one of the

fastest and most reliable on the market but that isn't always the case with the fingerprint

sensor on the LG G6 as it sometimes lags and doesn't recognize the fingerprint as well

as it should.

It's an issues that LG is working on.

I love phones made with mostly glass, it gives them a really nice and premium feel but unfourtonately

that also attracts not only fingerprints and dust but it also makes the phone more prone

to scratches and cracks when dropped.

Many people have been noticing scratches after a few days of using the phone without a case,

so if you're planning on getting one I'd either recommend a clear case or a back skin – you

sure don't want to scratch up your new smartphone.

Just like the new 18:9 screen aspect ratio found on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, it's also

found on the G6 and with that come a bunch of issues with app optimization.

What do I mean by that you might be asking...

Well the apps will work fine but they won't fit the whole display and you'll be left out

with a gap on the top and bottom of the display making certain apps look weird and not really

that attractive, it's not a huge problem since it's only the matter of time before they fix

it but it is something that needs to be considered.

At the end of the day the G6 is still an incredible phone but it does have its flaws which you

need to take into consideration before pulling the trigger and going out to buy the phone.

Anyway guys, thank you for watching the video, this videos push notification shoutout goes

to Donjoey, thanks for having my notifications on.

If you would like a push notification shoutout make sure to turn on my push notifications

and comment when you're done.

Anyway I'll see you all, next time.

Впервые стреляю с боевого пистолета Glock 17. IPSC - Duration: 4:31.

Hello Everyone, this is Marty. To celebrate 300,000 Subscribers on my channel I decided to do something I've never done before.

So I went to real shooting range with real handguns.

The only guns I used to shoot before are AK rifle in the army and hunting shotgun.

For those who never did that, I have to say this is not like shooting pneumatic or airsoft pistol. Really different.

It is also different from any gun with a stock. Mechanics works differently.

I went to "Dubrava" ("Oak grove") shooting facility south of Krasnodar. The biggest facility in South Russia.

You don't have to own a gun or have any license. You just come there, get trained and then provided with a gun.

You can also do archery, play paintball or even go fishing at local pond.

See the link below if you're interested.

The guns assortment is great but I decided to use my fav - Glock 17. Besides, I already have automatic holster for that since I own airsoft version.

I've been provided with personal instructor and we had about hour training the theory and shooting mechanics.

After that my firearm was loaded and I made my first shots from real Glock.

The final stage of my first training was fire range exams. I have two 15-round magazines and 14 targets so I can only make 6 misses at max.

The metal targets are considered hit only if they fall down. Unfortunately, this doesn't always happen with 1 shot.

- With a final round!

It's not bad for the first time. Not perfect, but that's a good start.

If you like that video, please comment if you would also like me to continue with real firearms videos in future.

Please like my video, subscribe to my channel and check the useful links in the description. Good luck shooting!

How Zoe Saldana Went From Ballet Dancer To Gamora - Duration: 6:17.

We're willing to bet most of you know Zoe Saldana as the green-skinned, universe-saving,

Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy.

But you probably don't know about Saldana's storied past.

Long before she became a staple in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she was on a trajectory

toward superstardom.

Dancing in the Dominican Republic

Born in 1978, Zoe Yadira Saldana Nazario was hit with tragedy at a young age.

Her father, Aridio Saldaña, died in a car accident when Saldana was just nine years

old.

After spending her childhood in Jackson Heights, Saldana was uprooted and relocated to the

Dominican Republic following her father's passing.

With her mother and her sisters Cisely and Mariel, Saldana settled into her new life

and discovered her love of dance, and especially ballet.

After a while, however, Saldana's passion for dance faded.

In the 2012 debut issue of Cosmopolitan for Latinas magazine, Saldana dished on why she

ditched the dancing dream, saying,

"I had to quit ballet because it felt like a part of me was dying inside.

It takes a lot of courage to face up to things you can't do because we feed ourselves so

much denial."

The relentless full-body immersion in ballet took a physical toll as well, and she soon

realized she, quote, "didn't have the feet" for ballet.

Saldana gave up the dream, but better things were on the horizon.

Back to the Big Apple

In 1995, the Saldana family packed their bags and returned home to New York, where Saldana

started working with the New York Youth Theater, starring in a production of Joseph and the

Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Her performance landed her an agent who helped snag her a guest role in everyone's favorite

murder show, Law & Order.

Saldana popped up in two 1999 episodes, "Merger" and "Refuge: Part 2".

Though she went uncredited for her first appearance, her next gig made her someone to watch.

Center Stage

Saldana broke through to the mainstream in a big way: starring in the teen drama Center

Stage, a film, coincidentally enough, all about ballet.

As the wickedly talented but sour-tongued student Evanna "Eva" Rodríguez, Saldana showed

off her expert dance technique and stellar acting chops.

Though it opened to mostly mediocre reviews, Eva was the role that served as a launchpad

for Saldana's career.

Saldana herself has even noted that ballet trained her for action, which she'd need for

what came next.

Mega-stars

Saldana was up for increasingly prominent roles.

In Britney Spears' 2002 coming-of-age road-trip drama Crossroads, Saldana heard wedding bells

as the bride-to-be Kit.

Just 10 months later, she went back to her dancing roots again to play Laila, the mysterious

love interest in the musical dramedy Drumline.

But Saldana wasn't just banking on a ballet and beauty; she soon scored a lead in what

became one of Disney's biggest movie franchises to date.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Saldana stepped into the swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

to play Anamaria, a victim of Jack Sparrow's thieving ways.

Though the role saw her brush shoulders with high-powered costars and offered her the chance

to work with acclaimed director Gore Verbinski, it was one that nearly ruined her relationship

with acting forever.

During her time on set, she learned her worth as a female in the business.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Saldana explained that unpleasantries behind the scenes

were enough to tempt her to quit acting for good, saying,

"It was very elitist.

I almost quit the business.

I was 23 years old, and I was like, 'F— this!'

I am never putting myself in this situation again.

People disrespecting me because they look at my number on a call sheet and they think

I'm not important.

F— you."

Star Trek stardom

Following a string of rom-coms like The Heart Specialist and After Sex, Saldana boarded

the Enterprise in 2009 in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot.

Abrams himself asked Saldana to join the project, and after he complimented her abilities, she

was sold.

While not exactly a Trekkie herself, having never seen the '60s show, Saldana portrayed

Star Trek fanatics in both The Terminal and Guess Who.

Saldana's mom, however, is a huge fan of Star Trek and would often call Saldana on set to

give her advice on how to approach the character, telling MTV,

"She'd be like, 'Zoe, so for this scene when you are in front of Spock, Uhura has to be

stoic because she is elegant and remember she's a translator so she is very sociable.

Okay?'

She would leave these messages and I was like, 'Who is this lady?'

She's such a sci-fi geek!"

Also in 2009, Saldana's role in the James Cameron award-winning sci-fi epic Avatar raised

her profile to a new level.

The film shattered Cameron's own 12-year record for the highest-grossing film in history,

dethroning Titanic, but it wasn't a paycheck gig for Saldana.

She told The Hollywood Reporter,

"You just gravitate naturally to what your heart yearns for.

I grew up in a very science fiction-driven household.

It was odd for me to grow up and go out in the world and not see other women going crazy

for science fiction."

Going green

Saldana's most recent scene-stealing role is as Guardians of the Galaxy's badass galaxy-saving

gal Gamora.

Director James Gunn approached her about playing the green-skinned heroine, but her sister

had to get her up to speed on who the characters even were.

Saldana admitted to MTV,

"My sister sort of informed me of it, I read the script and I was blown away with it."

But she also had concerns about the role.

During screen tests, Saldana stressed Gamora stay "pretty" to draw teenage boys into seeing

the film, Saldana explained in an interview with Collider.

"I don't know why I was stressing this a lot but I really was when we were testing…

I'm like, 'Pretty.

Teenage boys, please.

We gotta get their vote.'"

In retrospect, her concerns seem fairly unfounded.

The superhero adventure nabbed the approval of millions of adoring fans, not just adolescent

guys.

And being a part of the Guardians is something Saldana truly cherishes, saying

"We're kind of like the Rolling Stones of the whole Marvel comics that I find so f—-ing

appealing.

We're like the ones who always fail in class but for some reason we can burn the house

down, and I like that."

EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT CALLS OUT TRUMP AND SAUDI ARABIA FOR AIDING AND ABETTING TERRORISM - Duration: 3:36.

EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT CALLS OUT TRUMP AND SAUDI ARABIA FOR AIDING AND ABETTING TERRORISM

BY Isaac Davis,

Speaking at the high-profile Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, president

of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi made comments directly to Mr. Trump and Saudi King Salman,

which in effect call out Saudi Arabia and the United States for supporting international

terrorism and contributing to its proliferation.

A fact that is extremely relevant under the completion of another massive arms deal between

the two nations.

His translated comments, as presented before President Trump and Saudi King Salman at the

summit, are transcribed below:

Comprehensive counter terrorism means confronting all terrorist organizations without differentiation.

It is not possible to reduce the confrontation to a terrorist organization or two.

Who provides terrorists with media and financial support is a partner in their crimes.

The criminal is not only the militant, but also those who finance, train and arm them.

And provides them with political and ideological cover.

Let me ask you frankly: Where are the safe havens to train these terrorists?

And medical treatment of injured terrorists?

The replacement of military equipment and militants?

Who buys from them the natural materials that they control, such as the oil?

Who colludes with them in trading archaeological monuments and drugs, from where they get financial

support?

And how do they get media support by media outlets acting as mouthpieces of the terrorist

organizations?

Anyone who does this is a genuine partner in terrorism.

Unfortunately, there are countries that have been involved in supporting and financing

terrorist organizations, and providing safe havens for them.

There are also countries that refuse to provide intelligence information and database on foreign

fighters, even with INTERPOL. ~Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi

El-Sisi is not alone with his subtly veiled allegations that terrorism would not be possible

without the material and financial support of Western nations and Middle East super powers.

Ron Paul has pointed this out, and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has even introduced legislation

to stop funding terrorist organizations such as ISIS.

Russian President Putin has also said as much in public, outing ISISs G20 financiers,

yet astoundingly the message does not seem to have gone mainstream, and Western media

still maintains that ISIS is an organic phenomenon.

Some of President Trumps comments at the summit are a signal that nothing will change.

He is still framing this issue in the simplest of terms, good vs. evil, without giving heed

to the full breadth of the complicated story of how international terror was created and

is sustained by the major geo-political players today.

This is not a battle between different faiths, different sects or different civilizations.

This is a battle between barbaric criminals who seek to obliterate human life, and decent

people of all religions who seek to protect it.

This is a battle between good and evil. ~President Donald Trump
