BREAKING: FBI Upgrades Investigation Into Bernie And Jane Sanders… | Top Stories Today - Duration: 2:07.

For nearly a year, Jane Sanders has been under investigation after allegedly defrauding investors

and trustees at her former place of employment, Burlington College.

Then, just a week ago, Sen. Bernie Sanders was brought into the investigation after potentially

putting pressure on those same investors to go through with the expensive deal that relocated

the entire campus — a deal headed up by the Vermont senator's wife.

A now, it's been discovered that FBI is upgrading their probe, taking it to the next

level, with prosecutors raiding dozens of boxes of records from the college and calling

a state official to provide evidence for a grand jury.

WP reports:

Half a dozen people said in interviews in recent days that they had been contacted by

the FBI or federal prosecutors, and former college trustees told The Washington Post

that attorneys for Jane Sanders had interviewed them to learn what potential witnesses might

tell the government.

The investigation centers on the 2010 land purchase that relocated Burlington College

to a new campus on more than 32 acres along Lake Champlain.

While lining up a $6.7 million loan and additional financing, Jane Sanders told college trustees

and lenders that the college had commitments for millions of dollars in donations that

could be used to repay the loan, according to former trustees and state officials.

Trustees said they later discovered that many of the donors had not agreed to the amounts

or the timing of the donations listed on documents Jane Sanders provided to a state bonding agency

and a bank.

That led to her resignation in 2011 amid complaints from some trustees that she had provided inaccurate

information, former college officials said.

The land deal, the officials said, became a financial albatross for the 160-student

school, contributing to its closure last year.

Marc Kasowitz, President Trump�s personal attorney on the Russia case, threatened a

stranger in a string of profanity-laden emails Wednesday night.

The man, a retired public relations professional in the western United States who asked not

to be identified, read ProPublica�s story this week on Kasowitz and sent the lawyer

an email with the subject line: �Resign Now.��

Kasowitz replied with series of angry messages sent between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Eastern

time. One read: �I�m on you now. You are fucking with me now Let�s see who you are

Watch your back, bitch.�

In another email, Kasowitz wrote: �Call me. Don�t be afraid, you piece of shit.

Stand up. If you don�t call, you�re just afraid.� And later: �I already know where

you live, I�m on you. You might as well call me. You will see me. I promise. Bro.�

Kasowitz�s spokesman, Michael Sitrick, said Thursday he couldn�t immediately reach Kasowitz

for comment.

ProPublica confirmed the man�s phone number matched his stated identity. Technical details

in the emails, such as IP addresses and names of intermediate mail servers, also show the

emails came from Kasowitz�s firm. In one email, Kasowitz gave the man a cell phone

number that is not widely available. We confirmed Kasowitz uses that number.

The exchange began after the man saw our story featured last night on the Rachel Maddow show

on MSNBC. We reported that Kasowitz is not seeking a security clearance even though the

Russia case involves a significant amount of classified material.

Experts said Kasowitz could have trouble getting a security clearance because of what multiple

sources described as a recent history of alcohol abuse. Former employees also said Kasowitz

had engaged in behavior that made them uncomfortable.

Since the story was published, his spokesman issued a statement disputing several parts

of the story: �Marc Kasowitz has not struggled with alcoholism,� Sitrick wrote. �He has

not come into the office intoxicated, attorneys have not had to go across the street to the

restaurant during the workday to consult Kasowitz on work matters.�

The rigorous background investigation that goes into getting security clearance also

considers �any information relevant to strength of character, honesty, discretion, sound judgment,

[and] reliability.�

The exchange of emails Wednesday began at 9:28 p.m. Eastern when the man sent the following

message to Kasowitz�s firm account.

Five minutes later, Kasowitz responded with two words:

But Kasowitz continued to harangue him:

And then, just 33 minutes after the man�s initial email, Kasowitz sent a fourth response,

referring to his own Jewish heritage and the man�s name, which he presumed to be Jewish.

The man told us that the email exchange disturbed him so greatly he forwarded it to the FBI

so there would be a written record in case Kasowitz followed through on the threat.

Experts in the laws on harassment and online threats differed on whether Kasowitz�s emails

could put him in legal jeopardy.

When considering whether words constitute a true threat versus protected speech, �the

threat has to be credible and the person has to intend to make the victim fear imminent

physical harm,�� said Danielle Citron, a University of Maryland law professor and

author of a book on online harassment.

Citron pointed in particular to Kasowitz�s statements: �I already know where you live�

and �you will see me. I promise.� She said: �That�s incredibly troubling language.

If I�m a prosecutor I�m going to think hard about that.�

Ron Kuby, a New York lawyer who argued a case that overturned a portion of the state�s

harassment law on free speech grounds, said he believed Kasowitz had not violated the

law with his missives.

�When Kasowitz says things like �I already know where you live� he is inching closer

to the line. But in my view � as someone who despises the Trump administration, but

who has litigated these issues � he is well on the legal side of the line.�

For over 15 years, Trump has periodically retained Kasowitz, who has cultivated a tough-guy

image.

The New York Times reported this week that the relationship between Kasowitz and the

Trump White House had soured and that Kasowitz could resign. Kasowitz�s spokesman told

ProPublica Wednesday: �The NYT story is not accurate.� Kasowitz�s firm was also

sued for malpractice this week by a former client in a billing dispute.

Update, July 13, 2017: A spokesman for Marc Kasowitz sent ProPublica this statement:

�Mr. Kasowitz, who is tied up with client matters, said he intends to apologize to the

writer of the email referenced in today�s ProPublica story. While no excuse, the email

came at the end of a very long day that at 10 p.m. was not yet over. �The person sending

that email is entitled to his opinion and I should not have responded in that inappropriate

manner,� Mr. Kasowitz said. �I intend to send him an email stating just that. This

is one of those times where one wishes he could reverse the clock, but of course I can�t.��

How Canada Got Its Flag – Canadian History #3 - Duration: 3:12.

It's hard to imagine a time when the maple leaf wasn't worn as a proud symbol

of Canada. It's on backpacks when we go traveling just so that we're not

mistaken for those, you know, neighbors to the south. But the evolution of that flag

design was a contentious issue and, once again, flared up divisions between

English and French Canada.

Welcome to more Canadian history! Today we get to

discuss the Canadian flag. Hey Pierre! What's red and pointy all over? No! Not a

sunburned porcupine. It's the maple leaf. That was, like, a softball question. Canada had been

a country for almost a hundred years when the then Prime Minister Lester B.

Pearson proposed that we create a flag that would represent the nation. Pearson

had received the Nobel Peace Prize a few years earlier because of how he'd helped

manage the crisis in the Suez Canal. It was during that crisis where he became

very disturbed because the Egyptians really didn't want Canadian peacekeepers

on the ground because the flag still had the Union Jack from Britain. The British

were seen to be aggressors, at least by the Egyptians, and Pearson really wanted

to distance himself from the mother country to prove Canada's own identity.

But there were problems. The leader of the Opposition, and former Prime Minister

himself, John Diefenbaker was a staunch monarchist. He began

snidely referring to any new flag design as the Pearson Pennant. And then there

was the question of how to represent the country. What colors should be used?

Should we go with the British or the French lineage? What symbology should be

used? Pearson, I think quite smartly, realized that he could not use one

symbol to represent one specific group. Therefore the Union flag and a

fleur-de-lis were out as options. George Stanley, who was then the Dean of Arts at

the Royal Military College of Canada, told Pearson that the flag had to avoid

the use of national or racial symbols that are of a divisive nature. Pearson

tasked Stanley with creating the flag that we all now know today. And in this

brilliantly funny piece of political theater, Pearson brought two

options to Parliament to vote on. The opposition, thinking that for sure

Pearson's Liberals would vote on the design that he had publicly stated

beforehand, all voted for the single maple leaf. As did everybody else, and

with no dissenting votes at all the single maple leaf became our flag. On

January 28, 1965 Queen Elizabeth II proclaimed the new flag of Canada and

our burgeoning self-identity began to flourish. Now if only that hockey team

was any good. Pretty cool stuff, huh Pierre! ... What? No, that– this is a family show.

If we are dissatisfied, angry, depressed � it is a sign, but also a warning, that we are

making a mistake somewhere and that we need help.

If we ignore the warning, the pain will become stronger.

Oftentimes, to numb our feelings on physical, emotional or mental level, we reach for psychoactive

drugs that have calming effects.

Interestingly enough, other people�s mistakes are always easier to spot, because we rarely

notice when we do something wrong.

Reiki is a skill that helps us, by using energy, to discover whether there is an actual problem,

then we can locate the focal point of the problem, what caused it, what are the consequences

and how we can help ourselves in healing.

There is this process of energy exchanges between each of us and the environment we

are in, and it happens, both, consciously and unconsciously.

Namely, what we give we receive.

The universal life energy flows through our minor chakras on our palms and feet.

Placing our palms on parts of our body stimulates the supply of our mind and body with optimal

life energy, healing, balancing of our energy systems and strengthening defensive mechanisms,

what results in improvement in all aspects of our lives.

This involves self-healing at Reiki 1 level and healing of others at the following levels

We can also heal animals and our environment.

Our body, and our lives, are a reflection of our mind.

The Earth�s electromagnetic field, as a huge energetic organism in which we only play

part of a small link in a very long chain, has its own laws.

We are not talking here about and old bearded man sitting in a cloud, counting our good

and bad deeds so later he can reward or punish us.

It is a mathematical-energetic system that functions on

the principle of transferring energy information that has influence, both, on the Universe

and on our field, and thus on our lives as well.

When we think about something intentionally and intensively , we simultaneously send the

energy data that fills the field around us.

Our thoughts trigger certain emotional reactions.

Whenever we change our emotions, for example, from frustration we go to joy, 1,400 biochemical

changes start taking place in our body at that very moment.

When we think of all

the emotions we feel in one day we can see that emotions create many changes in our physiology.

So, it makes sense to begin to pay attention to mental food, just as we pay attention to

the food we feed to our body.

This is one of the keys to better health and definitely slows down the aging process.

Strong negative emotions are just degenerating us, whereas positive emotional states regenerate

and rejuvenate the human body.

Creating thought models by channeling universal life energy helps us tap into the channel

of peace and tranquility of our lives.

In order to understand in on a deeper level and consciously use the energy around us,

JUST IN: Ted Cruz Unleashes His Fury On CNN's Biased Obamacare Reporting | Top Stories Today - Duration: 2:58.

On the campaign trail, Texas Senator Ted Cruz was one of Donald Trump's most bitter opponents.

Now, Senator Cruz is one of the strongest voices fighting on behalf of patriotic America.

Senator Cruz took to Twitter recently in order to publicly expose CNN's complete hypocrisy

when it comes to the new GOP health care plan.

Whereas CNN labeled Mr. Cruz's Consumer Freedom amendment with a derogatory "so-called,"

Cruz point out the lack of a similar "so-called" when it came to Obama's Affordable Care

Act, via IJR.

In other words, CNN did not express one iota of skepticism when it came to Obamacare.

Now, with the battle over the GOP alternative to Obamacare raging, CNN has taken to dismissing,

discrediting, and defaming the GOP bill at every opportunity.

CNN's culture of political bias not only been exposed by Senator Cruz, but also by

Project Veritas.

In a series of videos called "American Pravda," Project Veritas has consistently shown that

CNN knowingly promotes false stories in order to help the Democrats, sincerely believes

that our president is "crazy," and regards American voters as "stupid as sh**," via

YouTube.

Insofar as health care coverage is concerned, CNN has given plenty of airtime to people

like Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders

(I-VT).

Both of these individuals have used inflammatory rhetoric about "millions" of America's

dying due to the "blood money" of the GOP health care bill.

Unsurprisingly, a very sick man named James T. Hodgkinson tried to kill several Republican

lawmakers based on such hyperbole, via Got News.

The good will following the shooting in Alexandria did not last a single week, as CNN and their

Democratic friends began pulling their hair out and waving the bloody shirt over the Republican

efforts to reform Obamacare.

Senator Cruz should be commended for tweeting his displeasure about CNN's bias.

Mr. Cruz's proposed amendment would allow those with pre-existing conditions to maintain

their Obamacare-era coverage, while those without pre-existing conditions could return

to the plans they once had at possibly a third of the rate, via The Hill.

This amendment does not need the provision of "so-called"; it is an amendment designed

to save the American consumer thousands of dollars annually in health care insurance

costs.

That's more than one can say about the whole of Obamacare.

Always remember this: CNN is the media outlet that book Obama's "If you like your health

care plan, you can keep it."

They cannot be trusted when it comes to reporting on American health care.

Number 2: Paris Hilton In 2003, a sex tape titled "1 Night in Paris"

starring Paris Hilton, and her then boyfriend Rick Salomon, was leaked worldwide, and when

Paris publicly stated that she was "out of it" during taping, and did not want it released,

Rick attempted to sue her for defamation.

However, it was reported that Paris was awarded $400,000 after the two settled the suit outside

of court in July 2005.

"Donkey Dick" J. And in February 2007, the video surfaced on the Internet, which

Fidget Spinners: Future Collectibles or Not

This is James Goetz Antique Man, today we're going to talk about something

that's really popular, we're going to talk about Fidget Spinners, and we're

going to talk about, do we think they're going to be something collectible in the

future. The Fidgets Spinners were created back in the 1990's. They were meant to be

a tool to work with children with Aspergers and other disabilities, and

there something that never took off till recently.

These Fidget Spinners you can do a little bit of everything, you can go in

and you can you can spin them, you let them spin, and then they spin for quite a

while.

Plus you can do different tricks with them, you know you can play with it on

your finger, you do little balancing tricks, but the question is are they

going to be collectible in the future. This one I paid five dollars for, this

one I paid about twenty five dollars for. The metal one is supposed to be a really

good one, but what I'm finding out with this is it rattles, this one has ceramic

bearings in it, which is supposed to make it better. What these are made out of is

skate board bearings, so they've been around for quite a while, but they just

recently became very popular, you see them

everywhere, but the question is, are they going to last. This one was supposed to

be a really good one, and it's a piece of crap. The $5 one in my opinion, is a lot

better than the expensive one.

So are these going to be around, and be collectible like Cabbage Patch Kids are

coming back there's other things out there also, or are they going to be

another thing like the Beanie Babies and the Furbies, people collect these like

crazy. These are fun to play with, yeah you can spin them, but my question is, is

this going to be something like Beanie Babies, people bought Beanie Babies by

the hundreds for their children, and now they are in garages. They're in storage,

people have all this money invested in them, and they are worth nothing, Beanie

Babies these days are selling for like a dollar a piece at flea markets, so the big

question is, are these even going to be around in the future, in my opinion

they're so cheaply made, and people play with them so much, that they just wear

out, my experience is the metal one it's worse than the plastic one, and I paid

more for it, it's supposed to have better bearings in it, but it doesn't. I hope you

Dear July, I am attempting to study broadly and without

fear, but I am in fact very afraid.

(intro).

Most of my academic career happened while I was being homeschooled or in a cyber school.

I hadn't even stayed in the same physical school for more than one year until high school.

This has put me in an interesting position where I basically just taught myself how to learn.

I am used to learning independently and being guided by my curiosity but am very bad at

articulating and expressing the things that I know because of my isolated learning environment.

I'm great at learning.

I hoard knowledge like it is a scarce resource that we could run out of at any moment.

I just don't know how to explain that to my professors and I don't know how to tell them

that I don't know how to learn the way that they want me to learn.

I don't know how to shut down my curiosity for a long enough amount of time to get through a reading.

I can't do any of the readings without also wanting to see what aspects of culture informed

it, and how the writing has influenced the way we think now, and the author's biography,

and why they used the words they used!

I can't get through anything in time because I have too many questions and no way to answer

any of them in a timely manner!

My curiosity is a distraction sy school.

It has adverse effects and generally results in my failure.

I want to stay curious though.

It's landed me in bad situations time and time again, but it doesn't seem worth it to

get an education if I can't learn anything.

I don't like limiting my brain.

That's why I'm starting to write a 20-page paper that's due in December today.

The semester doesn't start for another six weeks and I'm starting now so I have time

to be curious.

I refuse to sacrifice my values for the sake of academic achievement.

So it's up to me find ways to work around my values in order to reach basic achievement.
