Today we will cover the top 10 full on best weapons based on a mixture of damage and utility

in different circumstances in Mass Effect Andromeda,

<title: Top 10 Best Weapons>

The categories we'll be assigning weapons to today are:

Best DPS Pistol Best DPS Assault Rifle

Best DPS Shotgun Best Sniper Rifle

Best vs Shields Best vs Armour

Best Per Shot Best AOE (or Area of Effect)

Best Melee Support & Best Overall Weapon

Remember that your personal preference overrides any of this, all weapons can be used to play

the game, sure there are some that would make it ridiculously hard like the Soned with a

single fire system, but even that if used carefully could be your primary weapon on

Insanity.

But chances are that one of your favourite weapons is on this list in some form,

The Buffs used in the DPS calculations, as well as all other stats, are based on a medium

hybrid soldier build,

The full list of buffs and buff origins can be found in the description to peruse at your

leisure.

<title: 10 Best Pistol>

The Best Pistol for in general and definitely for DPS is unsurprisingly the M-25 Hornet,

Specifically when used with the automatic fire system, if you don't use that, it falls

to the Sidewinder which is about 20% lower damage than the Hornet with Auto fire,

But considering how easy the Automatic Fire System Augment is to get, it would be pointless

not to use it.

Its accuracy is good, it's weight is low, it's force is expectedly low but considering

it's huge 950 rate of fire, that force builds, the clip size and max ammo are perfectly acceptable.

The Hornet beats with or without a Bio-Converter with the Bio-Converter adding around 50% more

damage per second.

The Hornet has no Shield or armour Modifiers but does have a weak point damage bonus of

25% which it has the accuracy and stability to utilise at short and medium range.

The optimum augment and mod build would involve Automatic Fire System, Bio-Converter, Double

Mod Extension and a Kinetic Coil if you have the Cryo Perk.

For Mods, you'll want Barrel, Receiver, Light Magazine & either Scope or Melee Optimizer

depending on whether you melee or even prefer to have a scope.

<title: 9 Best Assault Rifle>

The Best Assault Rifle is a difficult one, it's not so clear cut unless you make DPS

the primary deciding factor, at which point, it becomes the Hornets slightly bigger brother,

the Valkyrie.

The Valkyrie is actually a little less powerful than the Hornet, but there is something I

would do extra with the Valkyrie to give it a personalised edge.

Firstly, you'll also want the Automatic Fire System, as well as the Bio-Converter, though

as with the Hornet, the Valkyrie is still the most powerful without the Converter.

You'd usually want a double mod extension, but instead place the Beam Emitter, the Beam

Emitter will override the function type which here is auto anyway, and it won't affect the

damage directly, but by having this, we negate the need for a stock or scope,

This also allows us to use different mods that take accuracy and give us more damage,

at the higher levels this is like 4% more damage than the standard barrel which is more

than a kinetic coil,

Quite the little extra.

The primary downside with using the Beam Emitter is that it cannot penetrate, so, no receiver

needed, but can't shoot through things.

For this build, you will want to put in an Automatic Fire System, Bio-Converter, Beam

Emitter and 2 Kinetic Coils.

For the 2 mods, you'll want a Short Barrel and a Heavy Magazine if you can take the weight

or a standard Magazine if not.

Stability is still a very slight issue with the Valkyrie even if it has the Beam Emitter

but it is easy to control at Medium to long ranges.

It should also be noted that the Sweeper with the Automatic Fire System is superior vs shields

over the Valkyrie due to its 115% shield bonus modifier, but considering how a shields hitpoints

are usually about half of the health, the Sweepers roughly 50% extra damage against

shield but much lower damage against all else makes the Valkyrie the best overall DPS choice.

<title: 8 Best Shotgun>

Shotguns have a number of good options, the primary 3 being the Dhan, the Hesh and the

Piranha, I would name the best as the Hesh, purely as it is the highest against Armour,

it's not very far behind the Dhan at all for Shields and for red bars it's very close to

the Dhan.

Considering the Dhan is a lot lower on armour, the Hesh wins here.

It has the lowest Accuracy of all weapons though, which makes less of a difference than

you would expect.

If combined with the automatic fire system, it is a little unstoppable, but with the added

accuracy hit, it is best not used at medium range, it will still hit most of its pellets

per shot but the damage is reduced.

This weapon is for up close skirmish style attacking dealing frankly insane amounts of

damage to everything in the way.

You have a choice for the augments, you can add a Beam Emitter taking away it's penetration

but adding a whole lot of range, if you decide to do this, you have more freedom for mods.

As far as my personal preference goes, I find the satisfaction of using the Hesh without

the Beam to be far greater than with, so would go for that,

So here are 2 builds for the Hesh.

Build one is Automatic Fire System, Bio-Converter and 2 Kinetic Coils with your mods being Barrel

and Receiver,

Build 2 is Automatic Fire System, Bio-Converter, Beam Emitter and a Kinetic Coil with your

mods being Long Barrel and Heavy Melee if you can take the Weight, or just a Melee Optimizer

if you cannot.

<title: 7 Best Sniper Rifle>

Now for the Sniper Rifle, we won't be looking at DPS, as with a Sniper Rifle, it's about

accuracy, this is the only Sniper Rifle choice in this video,

So we'll take into account Damage per Shot as well as utility, weak point bonus and what

not.

If you want DPS best, then I would say it's the Shadow, it's additive damage bonus per

bullet mixed with shield bonus make it a pretty decent automatic sniper rifle, getting better

with an automatic fire system, but it's not better than a hornet or Valkyrie.

The Lanat deserves a nod here as when charged, it's damage is the highest per shot of all

of the sniper rifles, not only this but it's also has a shield damage modifier and a 70%

Weak Point bonus, but I don't consider it's trade off of time a good enough reason to

use,

Its projectiles are slow due to plasma type to which isn't good a very long range unless

you're shooting for a super secret takedown where you one shot everyone so no alarms go

off.

I think the Black Widow is the best sniper rifle, as while the Isharay and Widow are

both more powerful per shot, they are both single shot guns per mag, whereas the Black

Widow isn't much lower per shot but has in my test parameters 5 shots,

The Black Widow has no shield modifier but I consider that minor for a sniper rifle and

the most important 70% weak point damage bonus is there.

For such a weapon I would consider the Bio-Converter a privilege, not a necessity, you don't need

it, but it is convenient,

If you were to opt out of the Bio I would suggest not another Kinetic Coil but a Battlefield

assist module giving you 20% damage when your health and shields are full, but with the

Black Widows Maximum ammo not being super duper huge and a Sniper often not being by

the Ammo Pods, I would use either a Bio-Converter or a Vintage Heat Sink.

Assuming the Bio-Converter, your build should be Bio-Converter, Double Mod Extension and

3 Kinetic Coils,

Your mods should be, Vented Barrel, Receiver, Tactical Scope if you can take the Weight,

Normal if not and Ultra-Light Materials,

If you decide for the Battlefield Assist Module instead of the Bio or Vintage, you should

change the Ultra-Light Materials mod to the Heavy Spare Clip if you can take the weight

or Spare Thermal Clip if you can't.

<title: 6 Best vs Shields>

The best weapon vs Shields is an easy one,

It's the Dhan,

If you combine the Dhan with an Automatic Fire System it unlocks it's Bankai, it's just

ridiculous,

With the parameters I'm using for this video, it has 5 shots and should be used with a Bio-Converter

to reach its full potential,

Not only does the Dhan have a 115% Shield Damage Modifier but does 25% bonus damage

to Weak Points,

I've used the Dhan without even having the automatic fire system to down an Ascendant

in one go on insanity.

It's a stupid powerful weapon and will demolish shields.

The Build for this one is Automatic Fire System, Bio-Converter and 3 Kinetic Coils,

For mods go with a Barrel and Receiver.

For anyone curious, I consider the Penetration too important on this weapon to use a Beam

Emitter.

<title: 5 Best vs Armour>

It would be simple to say that the best weapon versus armour is the Hesh, and for DPS it

is, but I would actually go for the Piranha here,

That is if you add a Seeking Plasma System augmentation to it, this extends the range

of the Piranha by a very large amount keeping its damage from dropping off early,

When fighting such things as a Fiend in open areas you can fire on them from a longer range,

Usually killing it before it gets to you on insanity.

For closer range fights the Hesh does beat it but as we've already done the Hesh let's

see the more universally good Piranha build.

You'll want a Seeking Plasma System, Bio-Converter and 2 Kinetic Coils,

For mods you could get away with a Long Barrel's accuracy debuff, the Piranha has ok accuracy

and with the seeking plasma it won't miss the max of 10% from the rank 10 version of

the mod but it will gain a solid 3% damage over the standard rank 10 Barrel, a worthy

trade,

The Piranha has no weak point bonus so go ahead with the Quick Receiver that debuffs

weak point bonuses for a higher penetration damage and distance.

<title: 4 Best Per Shot>

The best per shot weapon is, of course, the Dhan, but not in the previously mentioned

build,

Technically the highest build involves the Single Fire System augment, but it doesn't

improve the per shot damage enough to warrant the crazy minus 50% rate of fire drop, it

destroys the DPS,

The good point for Per shot and DPS balance is the vanilla,

Which consists of a Bio-Converter and 4 Kinetic Coils,

This is that build I was talking about that demolishes Ascendants in a single bout, though

of course when it comes to DPS, the other build wins so for Ascendants, rewind to number

6.

The mods you will want for this one shot wonder are the standard Barrel and Receiver.

<title: 3 Best AOE>

So this is an interesting and cool one,

It's not about the DPS, or at least, not single target DPS, it's about the overall spread

and ability to boon many at once,

I have had to redo this choice since initially recording,

The best aoe used to be the Scattershot, but it's been a while since I had tested, after

testing it appears the nerf to Plasma Charge on shotguns is too great.

I tested the Scattershot with all other similar augments including the grenade and sticky

grenade and it is just awful.

If you look at the augments for what they give none shotguns, the plasma charge is outstanding,

it reduces rate of fire by 10% but increases damage by 10%,

So it's clearly the way to go for AOE,

Then there's the Talon, a shotgun that is labelled as a pistol, it shoot 7 pellets,

it shoots more than the scattershot and only one less than the highest pellet per shot

shotguns but it has none of the negative aspects of using a Plasma Charge on a shotgun, sure

the rate of fire but it even has a 10% damage increase.

I Put this bad boy together and it just destroys, even single target it does so beastly damage,

against multiple targets this is a very valid weapon.

It also has 125% damage bonus to armour and 25% weak point damage, so yeah, it's pretty

badass.

For this build you will want a Plasma Charge System, Bio-Converter, Double Mod Extension

and a Kinetic Coil.

For mods you'll want a short Barrel, vanilla receiver, Light Magazine and a Melee Optimizer.

<title: 2 Best Melee Support Weapon>

Now, by Melee Support, I mean a melee weapon that best supports the projectile weapons,

though all that means is an Ultra-Rare weapon as it has 4 or 5 augmentation slots depending

on whether you have the cryo pod perk or not.

But as we have a few options, we may as well go for one that is useful as a melee weapon

too.

For this, the best all round option is the Asari Sword,

it is ultra rare so has all the augmentation slots and has a decently quick animation with

the added bonus of giving you a few frames of invulnerability as it teleports you toward

your target,

This is especially useful for the ranged weapon user as you don't need to be right up close

to utilise it.

Its damage is also good, I have taken down Fiends using nothing but the Asari Sword before

on insanity.

The Projectile weapon support comes from the fact that buffing augments placed in the melee

weapon are always active, so if you put 5 kinetic coils into your Asari sword, you will

have an extra 15% weapon damage constantly active provided you have that melee weapon

in your loadout.

So that's the build, fill it with Kinetic Coils.

<title: 1 Best Overall Weapon>

Now this is super tough to answer,

For me, the only weapon I really used to any length and consistency was the Dhan and it

works really well as a singular weapon, but its range is occasionally an issue,

My bias for that weapon shows that choice as preference based, so I need to pick another.

The Hesh is the best overall DPS wise, but its range is a very limiting factor also,

This makes me choose the Valkyrie with Auto Fire System and an optional scope,

I say optional as it can be a hindrance in close combat.

If you have skill points in pistols and not Assault Rifles then the Hornet is a worthy

second place here and will be near identical.

An auto Valkyrie0 will do you for almost all ranges, weighs hardly anything, has great

accuracy, acceptable clip size and max ammo, though as always I'll recommend the bio-converter.

No shield or Armour modifiers but its damage is great without them to and it's 25% Weak

Point Bonus does assist those with the targeting skills.

Build wise you'll want Automatic Fire System, Bio-Converter, Double Mod Extension and 2

Kinetic Coils,

For mods, you'll want a Long Barrel, Vanilla Receiver, Heavy Magazine and a Heavy Stock

giving you a fantastic weapon that won't impede even the physically weakest adept and won't

disappoint the hardiest of soldiers.

Even considering the weight of this after the 2 Heavy mods, it is still light and is

meant as your one and only with Adepts probably using only this and soldiers able to carry

more anyway.

If you wish a Scope, I would suggest changing the Magazine for it, Penetration is too useful

and the Stock makes this far more usable at longer ranges.

Star Peaches - Along a Long Countryside Dirt Road - Duration: 20:06.

What's going on in there?

She looks calm.

Is she dreaming?

This little star is in her own world, a world that I guess we shall never know.

Not sure if she's been here before.

Star Peaches stares, and she glares, she thinks, "Do I know this place, and why am I here?"

As Star Peaches continues along a long countryside dirt road she hears something, the sound of

something moving, it's coming from that windmill.

Star Peaches listens.

Are you scared Star Peaches?

What is it Star Peaches?

Only one way to find out, she has decided, "Lets go have a look."

Out from the shadows appears a scruffy mid-size dog, a poodle, if we are being precise.

"I'm Star Peaches, what's your name?" she says.

He gazes up at Star with his large brown eyes, there's a slight sadness in them, which

of course Star recognizes.

Before Star can respond the poodle says, "Uh, I'm Russell, where are you headed?"

She responds with, "I'm not exactly sure, I feel like something's calling me, I don't

know where or why, it's just, a gut feeling, you know?"

Russell says, "I do, I do, but I'm lost and that makes me sad.

I'm a good boy and I could use some good food.

Can I join you in wherever it is you are going?"

"A girl with a gut feeling, a hungry poodle named Russell," Star thinks about this,

"Well, that makes sense, let's go," Star says.

And there they go, on an unfamiliar path with an old familiar feeling.

They walk, and they walk, and yes, they walk, and more importantly, they talk.

About this, about that, from Russell's fears to Star's favorite sweaters.

After a night of walking and talking Star Peaches and Russell find themselves fast approaching

a very different scene.

For the first time since Star and Russell set out on their quest, whatever that may

be, they pause.

"What is this place?"

Star says, quite loud waking up some nearby residents.

Russell looks around and says, "Star, I should tell you.

I'm very brave, and a very strong boy, but this scares me.

Let's keep on moving."

So they did, only the alley got tighter and the lighting got darker.

Both Star and Russell are on the verge of a full meltdown.

"This wasn't the plan," Star says.

Russell replies, "But Star, we didn't have a plan."

And just before full panic takes over, there is a voice, "Eh, Hello."

Russell keeps it together and says, "Who are you?"

Sitting on a windowsill the orange and white tabby cat arrogantly replies, "Eh, I'm

the king, Ringo, if you must know, which, eh, you must."

Russell and Ringo exchange words.

"And you're a king?"

"Yes indeed, king of all things."

"Can you show us the way out of here?"

"Well even though you know, I'm great, I've been wanting to, well, take my greatness

somewhere else, so yes I could show you the way out.

Under one condition.

I haven't eaten a meal worthy of my royalness in a very long time.

Could you perhaps serve me well and promise me you will make sure I get that meal?"

Star Peaches gets right up to the face of Ringo, and with a smile that has more to do

with relief than sheer happiness she says, "It's a deal, let's get out of here."

So Star Peaches who has a gut feeling, the hungry poodle named Russell, and the king

of all things tabby cat named Ringo who wants a royal meal leave the city together.

Onward they go!

"Well this isn't very pleasant," Star says.

Ringo and Russell follow with, "Eh, it's no place for a king you know."

"I'm very confused, I smell New York, California, Texas and uh, where are we again?"

Star explains, "It's a junkyard, the reason you smell all of that is cause this stuff

is from everywhere."

Star looks up to the mountain of junk and says, "Not sure how to get around this,

any ideas?"

Ringo replies, "Eh, I'd appreciate if you would carry me over, royal paws you know."

Russell turns to Ringo and tells him, "Ringo, we are all hungry, and very tired, we need

to help each other right now."

Star says, "Russell's right Ringo, just a little further and I'm sure we will find

what we've been looking for, we just have to work together."

Up they go, Star Peaches moves on with all her might.

Russell climbs with a determined doggy fight.

And Ringo, well, let's just say, Ringo was carried.

"Move those legs Ringo!"

Star shouts.

After two hours they finally reach the top.

Spent from the steep climb they collapse.

Star Peaches cries out, "See what a little team work can do?"

Ringo says, "Yes, I see, I think."

"Well now we climb down," Star says.

Russell follows with, "And look, the road, it's still going."

After four hours, Star Peaches, Russell, and Ringo have now crossed over the junkyard.

And just as Star is about to touch down on that warm safe road, a whimper is heard, "EEEEEHHHH."

"OK, what was that?"

Star says.

Russell suggests, "Since we are all so hungry, maybe it was one of our stomachs growling."

Ringo agrees, "Yes, what he said, but it wasn't me."

"EEEEHHHH."

"There it is again!"

Star shouts.

Then the noises turn to words.

"Aqui, over here."

And there she is, a little Señorita doggy, quite frail looking, and slightly trembling.

As the three companions approach, in an old raspy whisper she says, "Soy Roo, I'm

Roo, tengo hambre, I'm hungry."

They stare for a few seconds, "Eh, bow before your king," Ringo commands with a king like

tone.

Russell snaps back at Ringo, "She's hungry, just like us.

You be nice, or you're gonna see me get mad!"

Star jumps in, "Come on both of you, that's not how you act in front of a classy lady

like Roo.

Roo, this is Russell, and this is Ringo, I am Star Peaches, and we also are extremely

hungry.

How long have you been here?"

The Señorita replies, "Hola Star Peaches, hola Russell, hola Ringo.

Hello Star Peaches, hello Russell, hello Ringo.

No recuerdo, ha pasado tanto tiempo.

I don't know, it's been so long."

Star Peaches feels sad for Roo, she tells her, "Oh, wow, Roo, we are trying to find

something.

We would love to have you join us, what do you say?"

Immediately Roo stretches her old muscles, reveals a mostly toothless grin and says,

"Vamos, let's go."

And they are off, a girl with a gut feeling, a hungry poodle, a royal meal needing tabby

cat king, and an old but classy Italian greyhound lady who's also bilingual, and really hungry.

Regardless of her age she jumps out in front of the pack.

After about forty-five minutes Roo decides to take a drink of water from a nearby lake.

"You OK?"

Star asks.

To which Roo replies, "Sí, estoy bien, quiero agua.

I'm fine, want water."

The three companions join Roo at the lake, then after a few seconds Russell blurts out,

"We've been walking all day, and still no food.

Star, what are we gonna do?"

Before Star can answer Ringo says, "Uh, I had some food in my palace, I would have

given you some."

Russell and Ringo argue, "You said you had no food."

"Uh, I said I hadn't had a royal meal in a while, there's a difference."

"But you're a king, how do you not have royal meals?"

A now disheartened Ringo confesses, "Alright alright, I'm not what I say I am, things

have not been going well for me, I'm not loved by all.

Even the mice that I do not harm don't seem to really like me."

Russell says, "So you're not a king?"

"Oh I'm a king," Ringo instantly responds which then makes Russell say, "I'm confused."

Star jumps in, "We are all hungry.

Ringo, I'm sure you are a wonderful king, and Russell you 've been an amazing friend,

but there's no point.

It's not like we're going to walk back and climb over that smelly junkyard—"

Roo interrupts, "Oye, esa es mi casa.

That's my house.

He he he."

As Roo laughs quietly to herself Star says, "I have a gut feeling, and it's telling

me that not much further from here there will be that one thing we all want.

We can do this."

One hour later and the four companions are now drained of most of their energy.

Star points ahead and cries out, "There, that hill, we need to get to the top of it!"

Russell says, "Another hill, what's on top of that hill?"

Star says, "It's not about what's on top, it's what's on the other side, but

the sun is going down soon, so we have to hurry."

Star tries to motivate her friends, "Ringo, your royal meal is near, Russell, good food

is up ahead, Roo, you will eat soon!"

"I don't think she can hear you Star!"

Russell says, and he's correct, Roo's a little hard of hearing, she hears her name,

which then makes her say, "Sí sí sí, yes yes yes."

That seems to be her default word of choice when she doesn't understand what's being

asked.

They reach the top just as the sun dips under the horizon, it's quite dark now so Star

can't see ahead very well.

She starts to doubt herself, "I, I, I'm exhausted, and it looks like there's nothing

but dirt beyond this hill, I'm very sorry, I've let you all down."

Russell, Ringo, and Roo surround a defeated Star.

After a moment of silence Russell says, "I was lost and you let me walk with you, you've

given us all hope and I still believe in you, and your gut feeling."

Then Ringo follows with, "Eh, I didn't have any friends back in my kingdom, I know

I told you that I wanted a royal meal but the truth is I just didn't want to be alone

anymore.

You are my servants, I mean friends!"

And finally Roo says, "El gato esta loco, pero me gusta él, ustedes son mis amigos,

sí sí sí.

The cat is crazy, but I like him, you are my friends, yes yes yes, sí sí sí."

A tired but focused Star Peaches stares toward the fading light that gives way to another

night.

She looks to her friends and tells them, "Thank you."

Then out of nowhere, she smiles, not just any smile, a smile that says it all, which

she does next, "I remember."

Star Peaches looks to the west where the sun is now way past the horizon and with her arms

stretched to the sky she cries out, "I have a gut feeling!"

She looks to her friends and tells them, "Shhh, now listen."

Immediately the sounds of footsteps and laughter can be heard, then a voice, "It's about

time Star!"

"Missy K, Elle Dazzles, my friends!

I knew it, I mean, I remembered," says a slightly shocked Star Peaches.

The always animated and dazzling Elle replies, "Remembered?

Star, didn't you have a gut feeling?"

The quietly clever and radiant Missy K jumps in, "Oh, we always have those, and we meet

here, same place, same time.

Although the adventure is usually different, when you say the magic words, 'I have a

gut feeling,' it brings us together for you know, a little snack."

Elle Dazzles looks at Ringo, Roo, and Russell, smirks, and says, "Hey, ready for a snack?

You guys are always hungry."

As they walk down the hill, Roo, Ringo, and Russell have never been more delighted to

not know what's going on.

They have put their trust in Star, and Star would never let them down.

Star looks back to her friends and says, "Yup, we're almost there."

The now six companions laugh, joke, and eagerly anticipate their upcoming feast.

Russell stares ahead at the countryside dirt road and says, "It bends to the right, where's

it going?"

Missy K turns to Russell and answers his curiosity, "It leads to the bar, the Milk Bar."

And just as the words leave Missy K's lips they hear a loud grunt, "Rrrr!"

Star Peaches shouts, "It's that humongous tortoise Big Riley, he's blocking the entrance

to the Milk Bar.

Big Riley, let us in!"

Riley turns to the six hungry friends and with his booming voice, he raps, "I'm

Little Riley, I got three older brothers that are bigger than me, and no you can't go

inside no matter how much you plead!

No no no no no no no no no no!"

Star asks, "Why does he do this?

I can't remember."

Elle responds, "This guy eats all day, he eats so much it gets him angry that he has

to go to sleep at sun down and not eat until sun up!"

Missy K adds, "That's why you couldn't see the milk bar from the top of the hill

Star, he was blocking it.

Now, how do we get him to step aside!"

While Star Peaches, Elle Dazzles, and Missy K huddle together to make a plan, Roo stares down Big

Riley, I mean Little Riley, and grumbles a few words, "Pequeña tortuga, déjame esto!

Roo the Italian greyhound runs as fast as her little body will allow.

She circles Riley ten times in just a few seconds.

She stuns and confuses the giant tortoise.

Meanwhile Star shouts encouraging words to Roo, "Go Roo, it's working, he's running

On this night under the twinkling stars, the victory between the tortoise and the greyhound

goes to, Roo!

Ringo, and Russell, and Star, and Missy K, and Elle Dazzles, all rush over to thank the

little Señorita Doggy.

After twenty-four hours of walking, talking, laughing, climbing, and even crying, it's

time.

"It's all you can eat, you guys deserve it."

Star says ,while serving the three oversize bowls.

Russell, with a sparkle in his large brown eyes responds, "Thank you Star, I know I

can speak for all three of us when I say, we love you, and hope to have more adventures

with you."

An emotional Star looks at Russell, Ringo, and Roo, and says, "I love you guys, of

course we will have more adventures.

We've already had hundreds, why stop now?"

A joyful Ringo stares down at his food and happily announces, "It's royal meal time!"

Russell quickly responds with, "I've been meaning to ask, what in the world is a royal

meal?"

Ringo replies, "Eh, a meal with my dear followers, I mean friends!

Uh, You guys are pretty awesome and I'm honored to share this meal with you."

Russell, the always sensitive poodle says, "Thank you Ringo, you know, you don't

really look like a king."

"Stop it Russell," a playful Ringo replies.

Roo adds to the conversation, "Sí sí sí, yes yes yes."

And with their first bites, Ringo, Russell and Roo remember all their past adventures,

and now look forward to future ones.

Speaking of adventures, that about wraps up this one.

Oh, and that narrator in the beginning and end that says, "We shall never know,"

WEEKLY WRAP UP #98 [CC] - Duration: 9:25.

Hey guys, it's Kirsti. Welcome back to my channel and welcome back to Melbourne! It

is fucking freezing. I've obtained another hoodie from yet another university I did

not attend, and I'm going to camp out in it for, like, the rest of winter because

it is so goddamn cold. Anyway, welcome back to another weekly wrap up. This one

is for the 9th through the 15th of July, and this week I read a total of five books

and 2,173 pages. The first book that I

finished this week is The Likeness by Tana French, which is the second book in

the Dublin Murder Squad series. You may or may not remember that the first book

I loved right up until a certain event happened and then I wanted to, like, break

all of the things ever and throw my Kindle across the room. So I was a little bit

scared going into this one, but this one follows one of the secondary characters

from that first book going undercover to investigate the death of a woman who

looks exactly like her. And so it's kind of part her trying to work out what the

hell happened to this girl and part her, like, being undercover and living with

this woman's friends and trying to balance her actual life with this

fictional life that she's living and I ended up I really really enjoyed this

one. I love Tana French's writing, I love the characters that she creates,

I love the fact that all these characters are incredibly complex and

they operate in kind of moral grey zones. I really really like that about her

writing. In this one, the mystery definitely kept me guessing through

until the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and I gave it 4.5 stars. Book number

two this week is Stranger by Zoe Archer which is the fourth and final

book in the Blades of the Rose series. I have really enjoyed this series. It's kind

of a fantasy, kind of steampunk historical fiction thing that is set in

the second half, I think, of the 19th century. Each of the books basically

follows somebody who is a part of the Blades of the Rose kind of secret agency

thing somebody who works for them and then them falling in love with somebody who

is not a part of this agency. So the narrative is always split between the

two of them. The books have been set in, like, really diverse parts of the world.

This fourth and final one I was a little bit disappointed to find is predominantly set in

England, and the bits that aren't set in England are set in like a fae, fairy

realm thing. So I was a little disappointed by that. But still, the fact

that the last two books have been partially

narrated by men of colour is really stinking great. So this one follows Catullus

Graves who is black and he's kind of the Q of the Blades of the Rose. Like, James

Bond Q. He's the guy who invents all these gadgets that let them do cool stuff and

he also goes out in the field and fights. He falls in love with this woman named

Gemma who is a newspaper reporter from Chicago. So it's the story of the

two of them fall in love, fighting this big final battle thing. I really really

enjoyed the fact that all the couples from the previous books in the series

come back in this one. I really enjoyed this one on the whole. I have one major

gripe with it, and that is the fact that once again we have a book by a US

author that features royalty - in this one, King Arthur shows up. And King Arthur is

referred to repeatedly as "Your Highness." And this is, like, my big language pet

peeve. I don't have a lot of things that piss me off with language, but the

incorrect use of Your Highness and Your Majesty is, like, the worst thing ever for

me. He is repeatedly referred to as Your Highness. He is a king. He should be

fucking referred to as "Your Majesty". And it just frustrates the absolute shit out

of me that there are so many books coming out of the US where both the

author and the editor clearly have no idea and, like, everybody who has read

that book in the process of that book's development, not one single person has

understood how that works. It's really not that difficult! If you are American

and you're writing books that features royalty, please, like, send that shit to me

and be like "Hey, can you read this to make sure that it's right?" It's not that

hard, though. If you're talking about a prince or princess, they're your highness.

If you're talking about a king or queen, they're your majesty.

That's it. That's the rule. It's not that hard. Anyway. That was a random segue and

rant... I liked this book a lot, it was a really good conclusion to the series. I

liked these characters I think the most out of the four couples. So yeah. The sex

scenes continue to be ridiculous, but it was a lot of fun and I gave this one

4 stars. Book number three this week was a reread and that was If I Was Your

Girl by Meredith Russo. You guys have probably heard about this book before. It

is a YA contemporary book that follows the story of a trans girl named Amanda just

kind of living her life in Tennessee. She's just moved from Georgia living

with her mother to Tennessee and living with her father after some serious shit

went down at school. And so now she's just living her

life and she's not telling anybody that she's trans and she's just living life,

basically. I read this book for the first time last year and really really enjoyed

it. I did enjoy it more I think on reread because the first time that I read it, I

kind of had certain expectations about what was going to happen in the story

and those things didn't happen, which in this case is a really really good thing!

But the fact that I've read so many books featuring trans characters that

kind of end up being a little bit like tragedy porn and this one isn't that. I

don't know, I just feel like I ended up I downgraded my rating based on the

fact that I felt like there should have been more tragedy kind of stuff than

there was? I don't even know. It's super weird and I don't quite know how to

process it. Anyway, this is an Own Voices book. The author and the cover model for

the US cover are both trans women and I loved that. I really really like

Amanda as a character, the romance is cute, the friendships are great, there is a lot

of complexity going on in the story. It does deal very very heavily with mental

health problems and suicide, so be aware of that if you want to read this book.

On the whole, it's great. I loved it, I gave it 4.5 stars. The fourth book that I finished

this week is God Save the Queen by Kate Locke. It's kind of a cross between

urban fantasy and steampunk, in a way. So the basic gist of this world is that

the plague bacterium has caused the aristocracy to turn into vampires in

England and werewolves in Scotland. And so you've got this werewolf society and

this vampire society and vampires and werewolves can interbreed with humans

and that creates, like, "halvies" they're called, which I was a little bit

uncomfortable about to be honest, but anyway, it creates this kind of

half-breed species who have some of the powers of the full blood species but not

all of them, and they're effectively used as, like, bodyguards and stuff. So they can

interbreed with humans, they can also have, like, pure blood children. But if a

werewolf and a vampire interbreed and have a child, it ends up being some kind

of mutant hybrid thing that is a goblin. And so the goblins basically live

underneath the city and they are seen as their own kind of unique species and all

this kind of stuff, they have their own royalty etcetera. The story follows this

halvie, Xandra. Her full name is Alexandra and she's known as Xandra for

whatever reason. Anyway. So it follows her. She is one of the royal guards, I think?

Which is kind of like a bodyguard, police force-y kind of a thing to Queen

Victoria, because Queen Victoria is celebrating her 175th anniversary on

the throne. So Xandra is dealing with the fact that

her younger sister has just been found dead in Bedlam asylum, and she doesn't

quite know how to process all of this. And then the more she starts

investigating, the more weird shit she starts coming up with. So it's basically

her learning is that she is not who she thought she was, and that the world as a

whole is not what she thought she [it] was. It's set in 2012 so there's all these

kind of like steampunk-esque sort of technological advances, and I really

really enjoyed this book. It's a little bit silly a lot of the time and I do

feel like Kate Locke wasn't 100% sure of her world-building some

of the time. But on the whole, I really enjoyed it. It's the first book in a trilogy. I

think I will be continuing with the series at some point into the future.

Maybe not straight away, I feel like I need a little bit of a break in between.

But yeah, I really enjoyed this one and I ended up I gave it 3.75

stars. And the final book that I finished this week is The Underground

Railroad by Colson Whitehead, because I kept seeing this book in every single

bookshop that I went to in the UK and finally I caved and bought it and, like,

it's blurbed by Barack Obama, so you know it's going to be good. Also, it won a

Pulitzer. But really I bought it because Barack Obama said it was good. So I guess this is

really adult literary fiction, but I think it's more speculative fiction than

anything and basically it's set in the 19th century and the Underground

Railroad is a literal railroad. It's not just, like, people helping slaves escape

from slavery. There is literally a railroad underground that helps slaves

escape and it's really really interesting. It follows the story of a

woman named Cora and her experiences being a slave and then eventually escaping from

slavery and how she ends up bouncing between all these places as an escaped

slave and how the railroad is integral in her escape and in her continued life,

effectively. It's a very very hard-hitting book, I absolutely loved the

writing. I loved how much it kind of jumps around the US and seeing the

different laws that were in place in different states

regarding slavery, and how escaped slaves were treated and it's just... it's really

really well-written obviously because like, it won a Pulitzer Prize. I really

really enjoyed this book. I sped through it. I kind of wish I'd taken a bit more

time to read this one because I feel like I might have needed a little bit

more time to digest some of the stuff that's going on in this book. But it was

just wonderful and I gave it 4.5 stars. So there you

Viroids: Possibly the Smallest Pathogens on Earth - Duration: 4:14.

♪ INTRO ♪

In 1971, a USDA plant scientist named Theodor Otto Diener discovered what could be the smallest

pathogen on the planet.

It was unlike anything biologists had ever seen: it could make copies of itself, like

a virus, but was much, much simpler.

It didn't have any kind of outer protein coating, and just a tiny bit of RNA.

At the time, scientists didn't think something like this could even exist.

But these pathogens, called viroids, were very real.

They infected potatoes, turning them into gnarly twists that looked more like ginger

than something you'd top with sour cream.

And researchers eventually realized that they might be a clue to how life got started on

Earth.

As far as plant diseases go, potato spindle tuber disease wasn't a life-or-death situation

like the Irish potato famine in the mid-1800s.

But it was still a problem for farmers, and no one knew what caused it.

So the USDA was put on the case.

Theodor Diener and his colleagues figured the potato disease was caused by a virus.

But when they extracted samples of it, they discovered it was much smaller than any known

virus.

It was subviral.

And that was baffling.

Tests revealed that, unlike viruses, this thing didn't have a protein coat.

It was just a chunk of RNA, or ribonucleic acid, the molecule we usually think of as

the template used to make proteins.

At the time, scientists had also assumed that even small pathogens needed a certain amount

of DNA or RNA to replicate themselves… at least a couple thousand nucleotides.

That's tiny compared to most living things, but enough instructions for a virus to take

over a host cell and make copies.

But this potato menace, whatever it was, seemed to have just a tenth of that.

Because Diener's mystery agent was similar to — but also clearly different from — true

viruses, he called it a viroid.

We now know that viroids are tiny, single-stranded circles of RNA.

Unlike RNA viruses, the RNA isn't used to make proteins.

Instead, viroids make their way into a plant cell's nucleus or its chloroplasts, where

photosynthesis happens.

There, the viroid cranks out copies of itself using the host's RNA polymerase, the enzyme

that strings together pieces of RNA based on a DNA sequence.

Some viroids also have the ability to act as ribozymes, and cut RNA, which helps their

replication process.

Today, we know about dozens of viroids, which infect lots of crops besides potatoes.

There's the avocado sunblotch viroid, the apple scar skin viroid, and the hop stunt

viroid.

Some viroids cause minor, cosmetic damage, but others — like a viroid that infects

coconuts — will kill the entire plant.

They're also sneaky little devils.

Different viroids can get into plants in a lot of different ways.

Farmers need to be on the lookout for contaminated farm tools, seeds, pollen, and even insects.

Aphids, for instance, can suck up millions of copies of viroids when feeding on an infected

plant, which they can then pass on to an unsuspecting victim with their next snack.

Fortunately, viroids don't infect humans.

The closest thing is hepatitis D, which looks an awful lot like a viroid.

But it technically isn't, since its RNA codes for a protein, and it doesn't self-replicate.

But even if we don't need to worry about viroids giving us sunblotch or scarred skin

like a poor infected apple, they're still important to study.

They could even give us insight into where we, and all life, came from.

That's because some scientists see viroids as living fossils, precursors to all of the

DNA and protein molecules in organisms today.

RNA is a unique molecule: it can be passed on between generations to preserve information,

and it can sometimes do things, like catalyze chemical reactions.

Those are two things that cells really need!

Many biologists support an idea known as the RNA World hypothesis, which suggests life

on Earth began with RNA.

And, later, evolution drove the creation of the DNA molecule, which is a more reliable

way to store genetic information, and the protein, which is a better catalytic workhorse.

For some scientists, the viroid is an especially good candidate for the RNA that started it all.

Since viroids are very small and circular, replication would have been easier and more

accurate.

And some viroids are ribozymes, one of the few RNA molecules that can do things to other molecules.

So, it's possible you, me, and everything living on Earth has a viroid to thank.

So like when I see you guys wearing the gear to the gym and stuff to like it motivates me

And I feel like I also inspire you guys a little bit to go to the gym at the same time like that's inspiring to

Me and motivates me to go harder all the time. I know I always feel like I'm preaching about the gym

It's just become such a habit in my lifestyle and just something that I do every single day on a daily basis

So if I'm going to go and do all these things I might as well

Try to take some of the knowledge that I've built up over the past couple years

To try and help you guys out as well. I do know a lot of stuff about going to the gym like I do as

Crappy as my diet and sometimes I definitely do understand and know what I'm doing like when I first started working out

That's all I would deal with just sit on pewter all the time and just research stuff

If I didn't know something or like how the body works in a certain area like how to get growth in that area

I would just research it all the time

DMX Pleads Not Guilty to Tax Evasion Charges, Posts $500K Bond - Duration: 1:10.

For Complex News, I'm Hanuman Welch.

DMX was released from jail Friday after pleading not guilty to 14 counts of tax evasion.

According to the Washington Post, the 46-year-old rapper was let out on a $500,000 bond that

required two co-signers; however, he must abide by court-imposed travel restrictions

that prohibit him from leaving NYC unless he is cleared to perform anywhere else.

Additionally, DMX is prohibited from carrying a firearm while on bail and will be under

strict drug testing.

The rapper spoke to reporters Friday as he was leaving federal court in NYC.

"It's allowed me to not be scared of the situation and face it head-on, you know what

I'm saying?

My life is in God's hands."

DMX turned himself into federal authorities Thursday after he was accused of conducting

a multi-year scheme to avoid paying $1.7 million in taxes.

The IRS accused the artist of providing false information on bankruptcy forms as well as

using other people's bank accounts to hide his earnings.

The rapper is now facing up to 44 years in federal prison if found guilty.

Despite the legal drama, DMX told reporters he still plans to headline the 2017 Brooklyn

Hip-Hop Festival on Saturday night.

Half of the Ribbon is 25 inches

So please cut 50 inches = 125cm of ribbon for the waistband

To make it easier I tie the ribbon around something

Get your Tuille fabric and fold double twice.

Then cut strips of fabric 5 inches = 12.5 cm wide

Then create a loop and loop it around the ribbon

Repeat this step till the skirt is nice and full

You can use as many or as little colours as you like

I am going to add a few more colours

And here we have it a gorgeous tutu!

this one leaned over like this here so I decided to grab just the pipe cleaner

and just gently hook it around the neck there and stand it back up straight also

rotate the plant around so it was actually opposite of the way it is right

now I did 180 with it and stood it back up so no problems there

just keep that supported until it can stand up straight on its own again but

we're in all different types of states seed like this dark devil here it's

halfway got its shell on and halfway not it right so it's breaking out still

living this one has fully broken out of his shell it's starting to actually stop

leaks out there and then nothing's right a couple easy there this is how about

steak right this one is still coming out of its show here was a trophy deed to

Donald Trump Jr. met with Natalia Veselnitskaya, a Russian lawyer, right after President Trump

was nominated.

Trump's campaign manager Paul Manafort also attended the meeting in an attempt to get

dirt on Hillary Clinton before the election.

As it turns out, the Russian lawyer lied and did not know anything about Hillary.

She wanted to talk about the U.S. adopting Russian children.

It has since been discovered that Loretta Lynch and Obama wiretapped Paul Manafort's

phone so that they could listen in on the conversation, according to Medium.

It turns out that Natalia was there strictly to set up Trump Jr and Co.

How do we know for sure that it was a setup?

All you have to do is look at the evidence.

Natalia was initially denied entry into the country.

She couldn't get a Visa.

Lynch was able to get her in under a policy known as 'immigration patrol," according

could frame the Trump administration for the Russian collusion story that we have heard

about every single day for almost a year.

It would seem that the goal was to get everyone up and into a frenzy, and when the time was

right, announce that Trump Jr. went to this meeting with a Russian lawyer that Lynch and

Obama brought into the country.

They seem to have forgotten that no information was ever exchanged, so what exactly was this

collision about?
