Special Containment Procedures: SCP-714 is to be stored in a reinforced, high-security

locker that is to be accessible only to Level 4+ personnel, due to several incidents of

misuse.

Description: Seemingly nothing more than a green jade ring, SCP-714 has been shown to

be able to expand and contract to perfectly fit the finger of anyone who touches it, though

this is the least important of its properties.

SCP-714 only changes size when touched by a 'new' subject.

SCP-714 has several major effects, detailed as follows;

1) Exhaustion, Compulsion to Rest/Sleep Within minutes of putting on SCP-714, wearers

report feeling worn out - physically and mentally exhausted.

Due to this, they will feel driven to "sit down and rest for a bit" on the nearest available

furniture, and will likely fall asleep within the space of a few hours.

If someone falls asleep wearing SCP-714, the only known means of waking them is to remove

SCP-714, at which point they may be roused by anything that would normally wake them

up.

Exhaustion effects pass within two or three hours of removing SCP-714 if removed from

a conscious subject; those that fall asleep wearing SCP-714 report feeling well-rested

if SCP-714 is removed, even if they slept for only a few minutes.

SCP-714 extends no 'considerations' towards the needs of its wearer during their forced

sleep, though most bodily functions such as breathing continue.

If SCP-714 is not removed and the wearer woken up, most will die of dehydration or starvation

within a matter of days.

SCP-714's impact (if any) on aging remains untested.

Wearers that are tired prior to putting SCP-714 are at serious risk of falling asleep on their

feet, possibly falling over in the process.

If no furniture or furniture-like object is available nearby, wearers either stand on

the spot they donned SCP-714 or attempt to fashion a resting place out of any suitable

materials (cushions, blankets, etc.) available.

The drive to sleep can be resisted, but requires formidable willpower and self-control on the

part of the wearer.

Even so, the following effect makes it impractical for field use.

2) Slowed Reactions, Sluggish Movement Subjects suffer from severely impaired reaction

times; a normally sharp, alert and physically fit subject can have a hard time catching

a slow-moving object thrown to them, even if warned and given ample time to prepare.

Anyone wearing SCP-714 should not be allowed to operate any heavy machinery or other vehicles

under any circumstances.

Wearers of SCP-714 move much slower than normal, managing an average walking pace at best.

Their movements are not physically slower, but they are incapable of exerting themselves.

3) Reduced Mental Capacity Seemingly as part of the mental fatigue, anyone

wearing SCP-714 claims that they 'think slowly', or may even have trouble finding the words

to adequately communicate that they cannot think as clearly as normal.

The wearer may take a long time to think of an answer to a trivial question (eg; "What

colour is this red ball?"), never mind one that is vague or requires a more complicated

response.

With removal of SCP-714, mental capacity is restored to normal within a few minutes.

4) Mental 'Shield' As a dubious "benefit" of seemingly reduced

mental capacity, wearers of SCP-714 show abnormally high resilience to memetic and mental influences,

particularly commands or immediate effects.

Weaker memetic influences may be totally nullified by this.

In both cases, the wearer feels a strong and instinctive fear of the source of the influence;

this fear drives them to immediately seek 'shelter' by any means available, potentially

by attempting to destroy the source.

This 'shielding' lasts only for as long as SCP-714 is worn.

They are still at significant risk if exposed to any memetic influences that do not take

immediate effect.

Exposure to such influences should be handled as normal for the source in question, as the

degree of 'protection' afforded by SCP-714 has yet to be fully documented.

In addition, 'normal' images and sounds that would cause revulsion, nausea, etc. simply

due to shocking or disturbing content have next to no effect on the wearer of SCP-714.

The wearer will not even recall seeing them once SCP-714 is removed.

Mundane persuasion (such as motivational speeches) has no effect, regardless of the speaker's

skill and charisma.

5) Chemical Tolerance Just as their minds block memetic influences,

the bodies of SCP-714 wearers slows and nullifies the effects of various chemicals on the body.

Fully poisonous or toxic substances are generally not hindered, but those that specifically

impede or enhance neural and/or nervous functions in some way (such as stimulants or sedatives)

have very diminished effects.

With the removal of SCP-714, this nullification effect expires instantly.

Wearers may still suffer from standard overdose effects whilst wearing SCP-714.

The manner (or manners) in which SCP-714 causes its various effects has yet to be discovered,

and no unusual emissions of any kind have been detected despite extensive monitoring.

If SCP-714 is significantly damaged in any way, such as being broken into two or more

pieces, its effects will cease immediately.

If the pieces of SCP-714 are then placed within close proximity, they will gradually reform

back into a whole copy of SCP-714, flowing as if made of liquid.

Once SCP-714 is fully reformed, its functions return as if it was never damaged.

Grinding SCP-714 down to a fine powder did nothing to impede its "self-repair" behaviour

either, though the process did take considerably longer.

Though the exact nature of this self-repair behaviour has not been determined as of this

time, it is thought SCP-714 could theoretically recover from complete vaporization, however

due to SCP-714's low threat level this has been deemed an unnecessary use of resources.

Footage sequences of SCP-714 reforming from various states of disrepair are available

upon request from Dr. █████ or other appropriate sources.

Attempts to track the history and ownership of SCP-714 have proven futile due to the nature

of its recovery; Agent ████████ reported feeling abnormally drowsy even after several

mugs of strong coffee, and was found to be wearing SCP-714 with no memory of having come

into possession of it.

Agent ████████ has been reprimanded as appropriate, and measures have been taken

to ensure SCP-714 stays in its locker at all times.

The draining effects and compulsion to rest make use of SCP-714 as a protective measure

against certain SCPs highly impractical.

At this time SCP-714 is not believed to have any other serious effects, beyond the danger

of dehydration and starvation of personnel who fall asleep wearing SCP-714 as a result

of being unable to rouse themselves for sustenance.

SCP-714's effects have proven fruitless.

I don't think I need to emphasise how useful this could be if we could pull it off without

the negative effects, but so far everything we've tried has come up with blanks, hence

SCP-714's ongoing Safe/Euclid classification.

We know what it does but not how it does it.

As much as I want to say it's 100% safe, there's something about it that's not quite right

about it."

Entry of 12-05-20██ "Still making very little headway.

Trying to acquire a date on SCP-714 has given us mixed results.

Parts of it date back as far as very early AD, circa 100 to 200, and are probably from

China.

Other samples are, relatively speaking, more recent… like it's been made out of multiple

pieces, though it is without question a single, structurally flawless jade ring.

On the plus side we've had some luck finding out who owned it before, thanks to a string

of reports of jade statuettes going missing when a ring matching SCP-714's description

was in close proximity to them.

What a coincidence, mm?"

"Perhaps SCP-714's curious regenerative and size-changing capabilities stem from, for

lack of a better term, 'assimilating' other pieces of jade?

Analysis has shown that SCP-714 is much higher density than average jade, but is apparently

no heavier.

Could be some form of extradimensional storage, as weird as that sounds?

Entry of 27-05-20██ "Okay, so a bit more luck on the tracking

front.

It was originally found in the late 1800s — that is, around the 1870s to 1880s — by

an archaeologist who traveled around the world, seeking jade artifacts, such as statuettes

and figurines that might be found in tombs or forgotten temples.

He was hunting a tomb said to be rich in them… of course, he eventually found and entered

it, finding only SCP-714 in terms of jade artifacts.

Puzzling.

Very few historical documents describe anything that matches SCP-714, so it's hard to say

how old it really is.

Vexing."

"The archaeologist's personal diaries have not survived the ages well unfortunately,

and his handwriting leaves much to be desired, so it is difficult to tell whether or not

he wore SCP-714 and documented the effects of it whilst it was in his possession, or

whether he never considered wearing it.

What I can make out is that he quickly disposed of the ring after a number of his collection

pieces went 'missing' after spending the night in proximity to the ring, with no signs of

break-in or theft…"

Game of Thrones: Dragonstone (S 7 - Ep 1) - Duration: 7:58.

Far to the North, after losing their allies in the Cave of the Three Eyed Raven, and being

rescued and led away by Benjen Stark, Bran Stark has a vision of the White Walkers marching

at the head of an undead army, with several undead giants among them.

Bran and Meera then seek passage south of the wall, revealing their identities to Dolorous

Edd of the Night's Watch, convincing him to let them through.

With House Bolton and their allies defeated, King Jon Snow now rules from Wintefell and

calls a meeting of all the Noble Houses in the North to discuss their next steps as they

prepare to defend against the White Walkers.

First Jon announces that the Maesters of the North must scour their records for mentions

of dragonglass, so they might mine whatever deposits are available and craft weapons.

Second, Jon announces that all men, women, boys and girls aged 10-60 must be trained

to fight.

Although Robett Glover is hesitant to send young women into battle, Lyanna Mormont of

Bear Island, a young girl herself, defends the idea that everyone must fight to defend

the north, and Lord Robett concedes.

Next Jon declares that they must send the Wildlings to man the wall as reinforcements

for the night's watch and so Tormund Giantsbane is sent to East Watch by the Sea, the closest

fortress to Hardhome where they last faced the White Walkers, and a candidate for one

of the locations vulnerable to attack.

They then move on to discuss the castles of Last Hearth and Karhold, the ancestral seats

of House Umber and Karstark, the traitors who joined House Bolton against the Starks.

The fate of both houses and their lands must be decided, as these will be among the first

areas attacked if the White Walkers pass the wall.

Sansa, who sits at Jon's side, suggests that the Umber and Karstark families should

be stripped of their lands and titles, so they might be given to those allies that fought

alongside the Starks.

Her notion of punishment for treason and reward for loyalty rallies many of the nobles in

the room, who agree with her sentiments.

However Jon Snow refuses the idea, stating that the specific lords who fought against

them are dead, and that he will not blame children for the mistakes of their fathers.

He also states that in order to defend against the white walkers, they will need all of the

living as allies.

And so he proclaims that they will keep faith with the Umbers and Karstarks, who have served

loyally for centuries, calling upon the new leaders of those Houses, young Ned Umber and

Alys Karstark to pledge their loyalty once more for House Stark.

The northmen are swayed by Jon's decision and cheer after the young children swear their

oaths.

After the meeting Sansa warns Jon that he has to be smarter than their father Ned and

brother Robb, who both made mistakes that cost them their lives.

They then receive a letter from king's landing, where Queen Cersei Lannister has taken the

throne, demanding that they swear loyalty or else be destroyed.

Although Jon is less concerned about the lannister army, believing that a southern army will

not attack the north with Winter upon them, Sansa is convinced Cersei will not rest until

they are dead.

Petyr Baelish, called Littlefinger, proved a valuable ally to the Starks, but now watches

in the background, taking every opportunity to drive a wedge between Sansa and her brother,

hoping to convince her that he can provide the power and position she desires, if only

she will take her place by his side.

After the murder of Walder Frey, Arya Stark uses her abilities to pose as Lord Frey, calling

a meeting of the most powerful members of their House.

She claims the meeting is to discuss their plans for the Winter, but instead uses the

opportunity to poison their wine, killing them all in mere moments.

Arya spared the servants and Walder Frey's wife, instructing her to let everyone know

that the Winter has come for House frey.

Arya then travels south, journeying to King's Landing where she plans on killing Queen Cersei.

However on the road she meets group of royal soldiers sent to the riverlands to keep the

peace.

At first Arya is unsure about their intentions, but after sitting with them for a while learns

that they are kind and generous, even sharing their food and wine.

Also travelling though the riverlands, are the Brotherhood without Banners, accompanied

by Sandor Celgane.

Seeking refuge from the cold, they spend the night in a seemingly abandoned home, which

Sandor recognizes as a place he once robbed.

Once inside, they find the corpse of a father and daughter, with Beric Dondarrion concluding

that the man likely killed his daughter and himself to spare them starvation.

Sandor is shaken by their deaths, and starts to demand answers about why the Lord of Light

keeps Beric Dondarrion, of all people, alive.

Thoros of Myr tells the Hound to look in the flames, which he does reluctantly, seeing

a vision of the wall, an undead army, and an attack at a castle where the wall meets

the sea, likely referring to East Watch.

In King's Landing, Queen Cersei Lannister and her brother Jaime discuss Tyrion's new

position as hand of the queen to Daenerys Targaryen.

Jaime then explains that their fleet will likely stop at Dragonstone to prepare for

their invasion of the mainland.

With the loss of the allies in House Frey, the Lannisters are surrounded by the enemies,

with the Dragon Queen in the east, the sand snakes to the south, Olenna Tyrell in the

reach, and Jon and Sansa in the north.

And so in response, Cersei invites Euron Greyjoy, king of the iron islands to the capital, so

they might discuss their mutual enemies.

Jaime is hostile to the Ironborn king, calling him illegitimate and recounting that it was

Euron Greyjoy who burned the lannister fleet at casterly rock so many years ago in the

greyjoy rebellion.

Euron makes no apology or excuse for his actions, instead simply pointing out how insignificant

the Iron Islands were to Queen Cersei, yet how significant his naval fleet might be when

fighting for her cause.

And so he offers a marriage proposal, to unite House Lannister and Greyjoy, so that their

combined forces might wipe out the dragon queen, the greyjoy rebels and the northerners.

Cersei rejects his proposal outright, claiming that he is not a trustworthy partner.

But Euron is not so easily dissuade, and vows that he will leave at once not to return until

he has a gift so mighty it might win Cersei's heart.

In the Citadel of Old Town, Sam Tarley is subjected to the menial, repetitive and disgusting

duties of a novice, training to be a maester.

Aside from his displeasure at the workload, he is disappointed to learn most of the Maesters

he has met do not believe his stories about White Walkers, and even when he find someone

that does believe him, he is unconvinced that the threat is as dire as Sam believes.

But Sam knows the Night's Watch is counting on him and so steals the keys to gain access

to a restricted areas, going through their books and scrolls and until he finds a map

of Dragonstone, then writing to Jon Snow, informing him of the large deposit of dragonglass

available on the island.

As Sam continues to go through his daily duties, he encounters Jorah Mormont still sick with

greyscale, who is being held for study and treatment at the citadel.

After leaving the city of Meereen under the care of Daario Naharis, Danerys Targaryen,

mother of Dragons, takes her fleet to Dragonstone which has been abandoned since the death of

Stannis Baratheon.

After removing a Baratheon banner from her families ancestral home, Daenerys and Tyrion

make their way to the strategy room where, like Aegon the Conqueror 300 years earlier,

they prepare for their invasion of Westeros.

CS:GO - "CROUCH JUMP BUG" EXPLAINED & WHY IT'S OP - Duration: 2:31.

Hey guys, salut mes amis och hallå gubbar, Maxim here.

So recently a lot of people have been talking about a jump bug.

It was used under the major and some teams have even agreed not to use it

against each other.

But maximuh, what's a jump bug?

A crouch jump bug is when you hold in crouch, then jump then release crouch mid air to see higher up.

The faster you release crouch the more you see.

Not only do you see higher up and make no noise, you can find positions so the enemy

doesn't even see you.

Here's an example where I'm seeing the player from ruins, and here's that player's perspective.

And here's an example of pro's using it (and yes they were okay with the bug being used).

But hey, this is completely allowed to do by the rules set for the tournament, and yes

you can also do this yourself without getting into any VACERINO issues.

The scary thing is however that there's a couple areas on each map that this can be

used on, so I hope Valve can fix this somehow.

I'll give you some examples just so you can see how sick this really is.

First off, here on banana, you can get lots of info here without being seen.

Another example is here on cobblestone, for b long.

Here's another example for when you're trying to take over drop.

On Cache you can do it by the highway position to peek garage.

Here on nuke you can get info from outside, the same for Terrorist here.

And this one even let's you peek B halls on Train.

I did every single one without being seen from the enemies perspective.

There's probably many more positions you can do this on that I haven't mentioned or even

tried yet, but I wanted to make this clear to everyone, so next time you die from a prefire,

you might know why.

How's it going everyone and welcome to today's Censored Gaming recap.

Today there's news on a recent case of controversy related to the Senran Kagura series, some

news that's sure to please fans of classic 2D fighting games, as well as info on a pretty

cool update that was made recently to the ESRB's website.

To kick things off with the Senran Kagura info though...

In an interview conducted by PlayStation Lifestyle with series creator Kenichiro Takaki, the

producer made comments that recently worried some fans.

Takaki was asked whether he or the studio have considered an option for toning down

the game's females, to which he reportedly replied:

"A little bit.

The game started out very small and that was the big selling point in order to move units.

Now that the franchise has grown, and is getting more popular, it might be worth considering

having features that differ depending on where it's being sold.

That way it might be able to sell better in certain regions where it would be problematic

to have that kind of content."

Following this, PlayStation Lifestyle then suggested how some regions may receive more

toned down characters for future titles.

These comments naturally upset some fans of the games, as well as others who simply believe

in the practise of faithful localisation that doesn't tone down content.

Many were also confused by these comments.

Takaki has always been a very upfront guy when it comes to his love of the female form

and the studios behind the Western releases of these titles are commonly regarded as being

some of the best in the business when it comes to not toning content down.

Something didn't add up and Censored Gaming then spoke to a Marvelous representative about

the statements and was assured that they will not be toning down any of their releases of

Senran Kagura.

Marvelous's Twitter account also tweeted out this sentiment to fans, such as here where

they said their European releases of SENRAN KAGURA games will always offer the same experience

as those found in Japan.

Marvelous only handles the European releases of the games, which is why they only specified

Europe.

However, even Takaki's Japanese Twitter account, which only very rarely posts in English, wound

up making a statement.

This is what he had to say: "I'd like to make it clear that it is not

my intention to tone down the content in Senran Kagura overseas."

"If age rating boards require changes to allow a release, we will have to comply.

But otherwise, I want everyone to enjoy the same content!"

So, it seems very clear that fans shouldn't have to worry about any changes being made

to the Western titles.

What happened here then and how did this confusion happen?

It's not really known for certain, but perhaps there was a translation issue or some kind

of misunderstanding in PlayStation Lifestyle's interview.

Hopefully now however, everybody has a clearer idea of the situation.

Again: "I'd like to make it clear that it is not

my intention to tone down the content in Senran Kagura overseas."

"If age rating boards require changes to allow a release, we will have to comply.

But otherwise, I want everyone to enjoy the same content!"

Next up is Samurai Shodown V Special, which has just been announced to be getting released

for both PS4 and Vita sometime this summer.

Samurai Shodown is a classic 2D fighting series from the folks at SNK and this will be the

first time for the game to ever be released on Western consoles in its original uncensored

form.

As you can see, the title is a weapon based fighting game and it contains lots of blood

and other violence.

This however was removed when it was originally released in the US on the Neo Geo console

system way back in 2004.

And the title has actually not been re-released since, meaning this is the first time for

it to be uncensored in the West, outside of arcades, in 17 years.

We don't have a precise release date yet, but SNK has revealed it will be coming sometime

this summer and will feature new content such as online multiplayer, a Gallery mode, as

well as trophy support.

And to finish up with some ESRB news...

The ESRB, who are of course North America's video game rating system, have recently updated

their website to allow users to browse the ratings via most viewed games.

Also, with the tabs at the top you can then narrow it down further by selecting specific

platforms, time frames and so on.

The top 5 most viewed games this year are so far Watch Dogs 2 at number 1, Overwatch

at number 2, Battlefield 1 at number 3, and then CS:GO and GTAV at 4 and 5.

One thing that's interesting to point out here is that all of these games weren't even

released this year, with CS:GO in fact being 5 years old now.

Additionally, all but one of these titles are rated Mature which perhaps suggests that

the higher a game's rating, the more likely people are to check the website for it.

It's something you may be interested in checking out yourself and playing around with.

If you change the settings so it's only looking at the past 24 hours for example, everything

stays the same except now we have 2015's Until Dawn in the number 5 spot and CS:GO has been

bumped down a few places.

Until Dawn is being given away for free in this month's PlayStation Plus, which helps

explains why it's suddenly got so many views lately.

This also seems to suggest that there are many people who make sure to check the ESRB

website when it comes to getting new games.

Which, of course, isn't really that surprising but it's definitely interesting that we can

now actually see these statistics over on the website.
