Waching daily Jul 19 2017

so another question that I get asked actually a lot by people when they see

my room and I'm just going to clap my hands to demonstrate you hit a river

it's a very lively room why are you not using treatment in your room to make the

sound death and more control and I'll tell you why because I can have this

room that is completely 100% treated and it will sound death and controls and

every frequency which would be perfectly audible and the stereo image would be

perfect the surround image would be perfect and then let me ask you this in

what scenario will you ever hear that again and the answer is never not in a

club where you hear a dance track not in a bar when you hear a song and not in

the theater when you hear the score all these rooms are big the reverb II

they're sloppy they're noisy so if you can make your mix tight and really good

and really wide and really deep and full in the room that sounds so incredibly

messy like this then you're almost certain that when you hear it in the

theater it sounds better so if I mix in a room that's completely controlled and

let me tell you what the difference is a room that's completely controlled it's

almost like wearing a headset the slightest change that you make in the EQ

or in a level will result to a big change on your headset interval results

in a big change in a control room but it will make it will not make a big change

in a room like this and it will not make a big change in a theater or in a dance

club and this is the experience that I had for 25 years when I was touring

around the world playing in empty you know big theaters and not fearless like

big stadiums and big clubs with the capacity up to 10,000 people where the

sound is so reverb II that most of the dance tracks was just like a standing

wave wiggle you couldn't hear anything and my music

always stood out as being loud I'm very crystal clear and very defined and all

these producers and DJs always ask me it's like how do you get how do you get

that sound and it's like whoa I mix it in a room similar to this it's like it's

a cave it's like one you know reefer be mess so if you can make something really

sound good in a messy room it will sound great pretty much anywhere else because

the death completely controls audio studio doesn't exist anywhere outside

your own controls perfectly audio studio so keep that in mind when you think

about treatment of your room oh you should take treatments in your room not

for yourself but for the people outside so this studio is very heavily treated

to make sure that the sound that I'm producing in this room is not going to

the bedroom of my neighbors so that I yes I did but I'm not treating the room

inside to make sure that I get rid of rid of all the reverbs and things like

that I love the library room and it makes my

mixes sound better so maybe that's a good advice maybe not

you

Corey Goode Update Solar Shift, Intense Energies, Meeting with Raw Tear Eir, and Personal Experience - Duration: 8:52.

Corey Goode Update: Solar Shift, Intense Energies, Meeting with Raw-Tear-Eir, and Personal Experience

with Transmuting Energies for Evolution

by Corey Goode,

I recently met with Tear-Eir for the first time in weeks.

I was shown the nearly transparent spheres through out the solar system.

He stated that the energy buffers would soon fade away allowing the full brunt of the cosmic

energy to fully impact the inner solar system and interact with the Sun.

It was explained that what we have witnessed on the world stage over the last year.

We are seeing more volcanic, earthquake and electrical storm activity that we have previously

observed.

We have also seen the polarization between opposition group turn into wars to destroy

the other side.

We are seeing people around us behave as if they have End Times Madness.

This diagnosis may not be far off.

Many who are on the Service to Others and Karmic Cleansing path are also feeling the

symptoms.

Many of us are experiencing high anxiety, head aches, dizziness or vertigo, loss of

appetite and unexplained agitation.

Tear-Eir communicated that it was extremely important for each of us to ground ourselves

and meditate often to maintain a high vibration.

If we manage to stay in a higher vibratory state these cosmic energies will have less

of an impact on our physiology.

Tear-Eir stated that it was also very important for us all to coordinate our mass meditation

efforts.

It was further communicated that these symptoms of anxiety, dizziness, and headaches are causing

many to want to withdraw and close off the world.

It is best if each of you communicates with people of the same vibration as much as possible

right now.

Networking, developing relationships and encouraging one another to continue our missions and to

not feel alone against the darkness.

Many of us are also finding it impossible not to deal with traumas from the past or

karmic entanglements we have with others.

It is best to bite your lower lip and focus on those issues head on.

As difficult as that is to do, it allows you to maintain a higher vibration.

These traumas and karmic entanglements have mass.

The cosmic energies that are flowing through us eddy around those traumas and anchor you

to a lower vibratory state that is not compatible with 4th Density energetics.

I have found this very difficult to do my self in recent weeks.

I am beginning to listen to a Remote Viewing DVD that I bought some years back.

It is excellent for guiding me into deeper states of consciousness when I have too much

on my mind to meditate on my own.

In my opinion, we should all focus inwardly to take care of the issues we have been running

from and to put all of our energy into meditation and self-reflection.

We also need to continue to support and encourage one another on this difficult journey.

The cosmic energies are only going to increase from here on out.

Watch this SuspiciousObservers video to see how the solar activity is having an effect

on human behavior and physiology.

TY,

CG

(Stillness in the Storm Editor) Here's some of my research and personal practice findings

that might help in gaining a comprehension of this energy and what we can do with it.

In general, raw energy is an involutive force (the opposite of evolution), chaotic, intense,

and expansive.

When energy is organized, it gains structure and compresses into a form that can hold the

energy, raising the vibrational quality of the system containing it.

The system in this case is ushuman beings.

In effect, these cosmic energies are pouring out onto all the flesh, but in a raw unorganized

form.

When we take up our powers of co-creation, when we gain internal coherence, when we use

the organizing power of mind guided by an open heart, we bring order to this chaos,

and in the process raise our vibration with more coherence.

We absorb these energies and put them to use in evolving our consciousness as individuals,

and in doing so, we become beacons of organization to help stabilize the planet and solar system.

Personally, I experienced a rather intense episode of upset yesterday at around 10:00amright

at the beginning of a peek of geomagnetic storms.

I woke feeling listless, drained, unmotivated, and rather depressed.

I did a lot of internal order making, meditation, and invocations of the divine, which is my

own personal technique for re-establishing balance and harmony with in.

For most of the day, it was a struggle not to slip into a disempowered venomous state.

But at around 10:30pm something shifted.

I started working on a research project that gave me some focus and this seemed to organized

my consciousness in a powerful way.

After about 20 minutes, I noticed a profound shiftI went from feeling rather emotionally

uninspired to profoundly inspired, to the point of revery and bliss, which has carried

though to the present moment.

I think this is an example of how we can use our personal practice of establishing emotional

and mental coherence (the inner work), which literally changes the fabric of our being

so we can make use of these energies.

And this seems to prove the axiom set forth by Thoth when he said (as I so often quote):

Now ye assemble, my children, waiting to hear the Secret of Secrets which shall give ye

power to unfold the God-man, give ye the way to Eternal life.

Plainly shall I speak of the Unveiled Mysteries.

No dark sayings shall I give unto thee.

Open thine ears now, my children.

Hear and obey the words that I give.

First I shall speak of the fetters of darkness which bind ye in chains to the sphere of the

Earth.

Darkness and light are both of one nature, different only in seeming, for each arose

from the source of all.

Darkness is disorder.

Light is Order.

Darkness transmuted is light of the Light.

This, my children, your purpose in being; transmutation of darkness to light .

As Corey suggested, be sure to pause and take time to meditate and face the things that

come up when we experience waves of involution.

With dedication and patience, eventually the organizing nature of our spirit will give

order to this chaos, propelling us forward along a course of soul growth, as we help

steer the collective consciousness toward the optimal timeline.

Nikki & Grace Review Wonder Woman ✨👸🏻✨ | Watch & Go - Duration: 6:23.

- Hey NaturallyCurly World!

I'm Nikki.

- And I'm Grace!

- And welcome to Watch & Go, the series where we review things while doing our wash & go.

In this episode, we'll be reviewing the movie Wonder Woman

[sings] Wonder Woman!

[orchestral theme music]

- So Coconut Restore is sponsoring this video.

Thanks, Coconut Restore!

And today we're gonna be doing our wash & goes with all Coconut Restore products.

- I'll be using the shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, and the gelee.

- And I will be using the shampoo, the conditioner, the leave-in, and maybe the gelee depending

on how my hair is going with the other products.

- So we just got through shampooing and conditioning our hair with the Coconut Restore Moisture

Replenishing Shampoo and the Coconut Restore Daily Strengthening Conditioner.

The conditioner has proteins in it and it's very thick but it runs through your hair.

It's very easy to detangle.

And the shampoo is kinda thick for a shampoo, so you don't need a lot to lather up, but

it does lather.

- It does lather which I was surprised at, 'cause it's sulfate free.

They have a very tropical-y scent.

Obviously, 'cause coconut.

So, feelin' good.

- Feelin' good.

- Watching like, the first probably half hour of the movie was my favorite part of the movie

because you see Wonder Woman before she's Wonder Woman growing up on this island.

And it's all women for the first half hour.

Seeing this girl want to become a warrior, it really touched me just because as a little

girl growing up I always felt like I was more of a tomboy.

And so seeing that little girl, like I legit almost cried just seeing that and seeing her

thriving in this society where she didn't even have to think about those things that

we had to think about.

- It was very beautiful.

I wanted to be covered in gilded gold and they just looked gorgeous.

They looked strong, they looked powerful.

They looked confident.

They didn't look like they were doubting themselves.

And not only that, there were all different shades of women, and I really appreciated

that being a woman of color, to see women of all different colors, all different shades,

all different body types.

The inner child, the inner Nikki needed this movie.

- Yass!

- She needed this years ago!

- The leave-in is actually really good.

It helped detangle my hair quite nicely.

The actress who plays Diana aka Wonder Woman was pregnant when she was filming the scenes.

Homegirl was like Serena Williams out there giving her best, giving her all, and a pregnancy

didn't stop her.

So it just added to the whole empowerment thing.

- She's like a real life superwoman. - Yeah!

- You not gon' be stopped by a lil' period, a couple cramps, and maybe a baby, you know what I'm sayin'.

You gotta be out here winning.

- So I definitely think it's an improvement from past female-led superhero movies, but

I do think we still have a ways to go.

- I got upset.

I'm not gonna lie to you.

I think--someone loves Chris Pine in this video, it's not me.

- Okay! I love Chris Pine in general!

- Chris Pine's cool. That's fine. - What is your problem?!

- Chris Pine is cool, but I could have done without his entire storyline.

It kinda felt like "okay, I guess she needs a love interest" and that's fine, she can

have a love interest, and that was Chris Pine.

But at the end--- it felt like he was tryna save the movie with his storyline.

- Yeah, I agree.

- And I was like "I don't need this!".

- Like, she's Wonder Woman.

She can handle this by herself we don't need Chris Pine over here tryna get an Oscar!

- But I do think that she needed a human to show her how good humankind can be, like how

selfless they can be, to restore her faith in humanity.

- It just didn't have to be Chris Pine.

It didn't have to be a man.

- No, it definitely didn't.

- I will say we need to touch on this because I'm almost done.

I'm gonna take a little of this gelee and put it on my ends.

It was a fantasy world that they live in in the beginning, right?

There's all these women, and it's beautiful, and you feel empowered.

but I also felt like as a woman of color, I felt a little awkward in one of the scenes

where young Diana is running through the woods to learn how to battle, and guess who's chasing

after her?

Little ol' Black Haitian woman.

And I just felt some kinda way about it.

I was like "if we can create a world where woman are empowered, why do we have to...why

did we go back to that trope?"

Why would it have to be a Black woman chasing--who takes care of, you know what I mean?

- Yeah.

And there were no Black female leads.

And when you went out into the world, the human world, I can't remember seeing any person

of color.

- I don't think there were any women of color.

- I mean, I appreciated us being there.

They had all kinds of colors.

It was beautiful.

And I appreciated us being included, 'cause often times women of color are not included,

but I also kinda felt like "well, why do we have a 'Mammy' and why were they just background figures?"

- Yes, it was awesome in so many respects, but there are also so many things that they

coulda done better.

- I think my favorite character was Wonder Woman.

I just loved her personality and her wonderment at things.

- My favorite character was Robin Wright.

Claire Underwood.

Antiope.

She is just...y'all.

- Should we say our rating on the count of three?

- Sure. - Okay!

One, two, three --

- Five! - Three point five!

- I love it.

I'm giving it a three point five purely from like a reviewer's standpoint.

Like, when I'm looking at it critically, it gets a three point five.

When I'm looking at it with my feelings, it gets a five.

- You know what?

I agree with you.

I'm giving it a five from my feelings and the visualness and the fact that the director

is Patty Jenkins and she directed Monster.

- But go see, it's so good!

- It's really good!

- Take your mom, your grandma, your sisters, your aunts, your uncles. - Yeah! Yeah.

- Take everybody you know. It's so good. - Take the men if your life and the women.

- It'll change your life.

- Thank you so much to Coconut Restore for sponsoring this video.

I hope you guys love our wash and goes.

Mine looks juicy, looks great.

- Let us know if you've seen Wonder Woman in the comments below.

Let us know what your review of it is, if you liked it, if you loved it, if you had the

same critiques as us.

- We make Watch & Go's every Wednesday.

- Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to our channel for more videos.

- [both] Bye!

How Technology Ruined Music (and How to Fix It) - Duration: 13:07.

Music has been a part of being human for almost as long as there have been humans.

Music is part of what *makes* us human, guiding and shaping cultures, bringing us together,

and transcending language barriers.

Music has the power to end war, to topple governments, to give hope and power to the

underserved.

Music is so fundamental to our humanity that other forms of popular art rely on music as

a means of emotional expression.

What is theater without music?

What is cinema without a score?

Yet as important as music has been to our very development as a species, its value today

— in a world of online streaming services and pop superstars — is questionable.

So... how much is music *worth*?

Popular music became a *thing* in the late 18th century, when songs were distributed

via sheet music.

By the early 19th century it was common practice for touring musicians to sell sheet music

at concerts for people to take home.

Long before Spotify, the fastest way to hear your favorite song again was to play it yourself.

This meant that — speaking broadly — the value of music was cleanly divided into composition

and performance.

The songs were written and popularized by a composer, and the job of the performer was

to bring the composition to life.

Musicians were valued as essential entertainers; both the composer and the performer got paid

for their work.

Music was an inherently social experience, because in order consume the music you needed

to be in the presence of musicians.

Then came the player piano which, while not *exactly* a musical instrument, makes perfect

sense as an early method of recording and playing back music.

Skilled performers could capture their rendition of a piano song, and that performance could

be heard by people anywhere.

While the performer still played a crucial role, the time and distance between the performer

and the audience created — for the first time in history — a difference in the value

of the *music* and the value of the *musician*.

This difference would grow in the late 1930s with the popularization of vinyl records,

but in the meantime, performing musicians found an interesting ally: film.

When silent films came along, they didn't include recorded, synchronized soundtracks.

Instead, musicians would start the show and play along to the images as they played on-screen.

At first a lot of the music was improvised, but as the films became more complex it became

common to hire someone to write the score.

At the height of the silent film era, movies were the largest source of income for performing

musicians.

As talkies became the norm and broadcast radio made it possible to hear popular songs at

home, we began to see the monetary value of music shift from performance to recording,

and a lot of performers found themselves struggling to make ends meet.

In the 1950s Television made it possible not just to listen but *watch* broadcast and recorded

performances.

Audiences began to treat music as fashion, with youth culture attaching to artists based

as much on their look as their sound.

The '60s gave us multi-track recording, which led to the Beatles and George Martin

inventing most of what we now consider common practice in studio recording.

And as the Beatles became — as John Lennon said — "bigger than Jesus", they also

stopped touring to focus on their recording careers.

Just as it was in the earliest days of popular music, once again we saw a difference between

composer and performance.

The compositions were more complex, aided and enabled by the technology of the time,

but once captured, the songs were performed by *machines*.

The world's biggest rock band could only be heard via records and radio waves.

In 1979 Sony unveiled the Walkman portable cassette player.

Transistor radios had been around since the 1950s but the playlist had always been chosen

by someone at the radio station.

The Walkman fundamentally changed music consumption because the audience could now listen to any

artist they wanted, any time, any*where*.

The barriers of time and space and opportunity were crumbling.

Music became more personal.

The popularization of cassette tapes also had an interesting side-effect.

Unlike vinyl records, which could only be pressed once and were fairly fragile, cassettes

used magnetic tape, which protected the fragile parts with a plastic shell, and could be erased

and rewritten at any time.

Tascam's Portastudio — also released in 1979 — was the first four-track recorder

built around cassette tapes, and it was just cheap enough to make home recording accessible.

A band could cut a record in their garage and release it on cassettes that would play

in any Walkman.

Up until the cassette, records were released by record companies.

A band would get discovered, sign a record contract, and make records that could be played

on the radio and sold in stores.

Tapes helped to make independent music financially viable beyond concert tickets and t-shirt

sales, and made it possible for fully independent musicians to be heard outside the walls of

rock clubs and concert halls.

Tapes also made it possible for music to be easily duplicated, and it became popular for

people to make mix tapes for one another, or to make copies of entire records to share

or sell.

This leads to copy protection, and a war between the music industry and consumers that would

last for over 30 years.

Various methods have been employed — and a ton of money spent — in an attempt to

prevent music fans from copying and sharing music.

But you can't copy-protect sound waves, and consumers always find a way around these

technical limitations.

CDs were better for consumers in many ways: audio quality was dramatically better, songs

were divided into tracks so that you could skip to your favorites without guessing and

checking with the fast-forward and rewind buttons.

And for the record labels, CDs seemed like a return to a model they understood and could

control: flat, fragile disks that could only be written to once.

Of course, this control could only last for so long, because personal computers came along

and ruined everything.

As music took each technological leap — from paper to wax cylinder to vinyl to tape to

digital — audiences embraced the changes because each change created improvements to

the two basic components of music: composition and performance.

The record companies understood these components, and viewed the records themselves to be part

of composition.

This makes sense if you're looking for a comparison that favors the records themselves

as the valuable product.

What they missed is that the records are, and always have been, *performance*.

Interestingly, one of the most commonly-cited reason for the Beatles giving up touring was

that they couldn't hear themselves play over the screaming fans.

But why?

Sure, we could say that sound system technology in the 1960s just wasn't advanced enough

to overpower the combined sound of thousands of voices.

But why, when they realized they couldn't hear the very band they just paid to see,

didn't the fans quiet down and listen?

Easy.

Because they could hear the performance at home any time they wanted.

(By the way, if you think Beatles fans were loud, our friends at Real Life Lore are exploring

what the loudest possible sound could be.

There's a link in the description below.)

1999 brought us Napster, a peer-to-peer file-sharing service where users could download MP3s of

any song they could find, while simultaneously uploading their own collection.

This sparked the rise of digital music, eventually giving us the iPod, the iTunes music store,

and now Apple Music and Spotify.

Twenty years ago, albums cost between ten and twenty dollars each.

Today we can listen to every song in the world without commercials for about ten bucks a

month.

Or for free, if we don't mind the commercials.

How did that happen so quickly?

Why did music lose its value?

Well, music has no value because the music industry accidentally *convinced us* that

it has no value.

Radio taught us to listen to commercials to hear songs for free, so Napster and file-sharing

seemed like a logical extension of that free-ness.

And now listening to a commercial every thirty minutes on Spotify feels like a totally normal

and natural thing to do.

Early peer-to-peer file-sharing systems had all kinds of problems that the record companies

*could* have solved with a paid service.

They *could* have added value and quality, and reconditioned listeners to start paying

again.

But they were too busy suing their customers.

It was Apple, not the record companies, who put things back on track with the iTunes Music

store, which gradually became the number one record store in the world by leveraging the

popularity of their iPod music player.

Meanwhile, musicians have done themselves no favors by chasing a rock star fantasy from

the '70s and '80s where they'd sign to a record label and get launched to super-stardom.

Instead of scrutinizing deals, eager musicians — looking for fame and fortune — were

willing to sign any contract put in front of them.

A record deal used to work like this:

A label would provide the money and resources to create and market a high-production-value

record of the band's songs.

The band would get a cut of the record sales and whatever money they made by touring and

selling merchandise.

Gradually, the record companies started taking a bigger and bigger cut when it became clear

that there were far more musicians than there were record contracts.

The supply of would-be rock stars far outpaced the demand.

As record sales have declined over the last few decades, concert ticket revenue has gone

up.

So the record companies got smart.

Now the labels offer what they call a "360" deal, which, as the name implies, includes

*everything*.

Concert ticket sales, t-shirts and other merch, record sales, streaming, even YouTube ad revenue.

In short, they own everything, and the artists should consider themselves lucky just to be

involved.

This obviously isn't sustainable.

Music is now regarded as more of a hobby than a serious career, and the barrier to entry

for creating quality records will only get lower.

It's harder than ever to transition to creating music professionally.

And we can't rely on a broken system to curate the best new content or find the next

great artists.

But there is hope.

While the rapid pace of technology has created systems that threaten to displace the concept

of "professional musician", it has also created systems that make it easier to discover

new music.

The barrier to entry for creative people to make and distribute music has never been lower.

There are also service like Patreon that allow artists to connect directly with their audience

and get financial support from the people who care the most about their work.

The problem, of course, is finding people to care about the work.

The musical landscape is competitive and densely populated, so even with the best of algorithms

and recommendation systems, artists are mostly relying on luck to get noticed.

The solution may well be a different kind of patronage.

Right now streaming music services pay very, very little to the artists, meaning that the

cost of composition and production of the performance is entirely on the artist, with

the streaming service taking the *vast* majority of the money.

This is broken.

While record companies were taking little old ladies to court for downloading a song,

the film and TV industries had the advantage of the content being more difficult to compress,

which meant larger file sizes and longer download times.

TV in particular — whether by design or sheer dumb luck — fared the best of all

entertainment industries, putting their content on iTunes and making it *just convenient enough*

to pay for TV shows instead of downloading them illegally.

Now we are seeing a television renaissance, spurred by streaming services like Netflix

and Hulu and Amazon Prime.

These services actively seek out content creators and work with them to produce new things.

Meanwhile, audiences have all but abandoned the purchased-record model for music, treating

Spotify and Apple music like Netflix: all-you-can-binge content, always at your fingertips.

But like movies and TV shows, maybe the best way to make sure artists continue to get paid

is for the streaming services to start generating new content.

Imagine: A streaming service signs a band and covers the cost of producing a record

and music video content in exchange for being the exclusive distributor for that content.

They market the record because it's in their best interests to do so, and because there

are several layers of record label middle-men cut out of the equation, the artist can actually

make enough money to continue creating.

As we've seen with the streaming video services, the competition to provide the best exclusive

content *can* lead to creatively and artistically valuable work.

Amazon and Netflix and Hulu are no longer competing for who has the *most* shows, they

compete for who has the *best* shows.

Instead of farming the job out to record labels, streaming services could work with bands directly,

sharing data on what audiences are excited about, providing access to production resources,

and helping the artists to develop creatively.

Better, more diverse, more interesting, and higher-production value music could be born

out of Spotify simply wanting to make a better exclusive record than Apple Music.

Everyone wins.

Throughout the history of popular music we've seen that the composition of music — including

the production of a record — is the most valuable step.

Performance — even the playback of the record itself — is seen as ephemeral and visceral,

and while it is the part most likely to win the hearts of audiences, it's the part that

is hardest to make financially lucrative, because music as an experience wants to be

shared.

So maybe the best path forward is to leave that part to the services that make a living

piping music into people's ears, and instead focus on convincing them to compete with each

other for access to the artists.

Like publishing houses supporting composers to create new sheet music over two hundred

years ago, streaming services could be what record labels should have been: a system that

ensures that "musician" is

a job, and not just a hobby.

Unleashing Your Unique Talents and Gifts in Service of a World in Need - Duration: 9:14.

Unleashing Your Unique Talents and Gifts in Service of a World in Need

By Caroline Ryan

So you have probably noticed things arent going so well on planet earth right now.

Nothing and no-one remains untouched by our unprecedented global upheaval as its impact

takes its toll on our feelings, thoughts, perspectives and experiences and much else

besides.

Its unequivocally all change and unfortunately, the destructive type.

When you unleash a Phoenix however, its natural that its devastation precedes any

subsequent resurrection and that, I would propose, is the true reason behind the wholesale

worldly chaos were all experiencing right now.

Imagine, however, the potential: all the planetary possibilities that could arise from said destruction,

if we individually and collectively choose to step up and instigate a better way.

On a personal level, each of us has the power to choose our response to whats going on

and which perspective, version of truth, attitude and action we wish to adopt moving forward.

If each of us simply decided to model, with integrity, the knowledge, skills and worldly

wisdom that weve specifically acquired along our life paths, how easy and authentic

would it be to create a world in which we all felt we belonged; a world in which wed

all love to live and felt inspired to nurture.

Sounds logical thus far, but here comes the big question you knew it was coming.

How on Earth is that possible?

As humans, as youve probably noticed, were not always primed to respond and take action

and it seems that we fall broadly into one of four categories, a familiar concept to

those of you who know something about psychology and how the mind works.

Those who feel powerless to affect any level of change, so dont even consider it.

Those who feel powerless to affect change, but may nonetheless have thought about it.

Those who know they can affect change, but cant be bothered; ie; its too much effort,

so they leave it to someone else.

And those who know they can affect change and actually feel sufficiently inspired to

take action.

In essence: the few!

If we wish to creating a tipping point with the purpose of ushering in a new global operating

system, a few, however, is all we need.

It only takes about 7% of the world population to start thinking and behaving in the same

way to affect global consciousness and generate massive transformative shifts for the whole

of humanity.

A small, but increasingly bright light on the horizon of our current global destruction,

(that providentially appears not to be a mega nuclear explosion), is the apparent growth

in the number of individuals feeling called and willing to explore how they, as individuals,

can make their difference in a field of endeavor that inspires them to step out of their comfort

zone and live whats important to them.

Each person adding their own personal weight towards achieving that necessary tipping point,

moving us closer to a more enlightened planetary state of consciousness.

And when we consider the state of the world today and assess the need to resurrect and

reconstruct our failing societies and systems, I think we could say with absolute confidence

that we would still welcome an awful lot more hero and heroine role models to wake up and

make their own personal contribution right now.

Lets consider, just for a moment, how many Dragons you have slain, how many insurmountable

obstacles, barriers you have overcome, un-scalable walls and mountains you have climbed, indescribably

difficult relationships survived, health issues, issues of injustice and financial disasters

you have surmounted, and against all the odds

A few, several dozen, a hundred?

More?

May I suggest that, the number of dragons that youve had to encounter and put

to rest represents the equivalent amount of immense knowledge and understanding, dare

I call it wisdom, you alone are now qualified to share.

There is no-one else on this planet who has undergone one of your unique experiences,

let alone the full, assorted combination, so perfectly accumulated over time; theyve

now macerated nicely and have melded harmoniously together into your own individual special

brew, whether youre aware of it or not!

As a result, there is only you who is singularly qualified in the world, as a unique crisis

overseer and dragon slayer, to do your stuff and contribute your own ineffable contribution

to the transformation the world is waiting for.

In your dragon slaying process, you automatically (although most likely unconsciously), acquired

a specific combination of talents, knowledge and skills that became perfectly honed during

your skirmishes and deathly deeds with the wide range and numbers of dragon species:

their unforgiving qualities and brutal characteristics, their extreme thickness of skin and ferocity

of teeth; all providing you with the terrifying encounters that you alone had to manage and

overcome.

Since there appears to be no current advertised role for Dragon Master, you have to be marginally

more creative in how you apply your skills and hard won talents.

Do not imagine, however, that there are not many absolutely desperate to acquire the very

same skills you have now mastered; as there are hundreds, if not thousands of individuals

who would benefit from your uniquely perfected understanding and knowledge hard won through

your repeated exploits of dicing with these dangerous beasts.

Which brings me to my final question

If you belong to that fourth category and are totally serious about playing your part

in transforming how life works for all on this exceptional planet, please refer to your

own Dragons Mastery Handbook.

May I remind you that this is your personal bible: the contents of which have taken you

decades of emotional and physical sweat and tears to compile and in which is clearly documented

all the vital signs and clues needed to identify your personal gifts, together with your Truth

that you feel compelled to see expressed in the world.

It is within the much thumbed pages of your own critical Handbook that you will find everything

you will ever want or need to know about your unique diplomas and death-defying credentials

that you are now here to share with humanity.

Whilst openings might not be advertised, there will be hundreds of miles of zealous apprentices

eagerly queuing to learn your own personal lessons of self-mastery, artful ways of managing

yourself and others and contributing respectfully, thoughtfully and with innovation a new and

better world over that you have perfected through trial and error and that you are now

ready to teach.

As a result, many of us are now starting to reconsider what new structures we want to

create in our world that work for everyone, as we step through the remnants of our old

structures and pathways and feel inspired to dream of new, previously never-before-designed,

yet positively respectful ways of living together.

We seek to identify where best our uniquely honed knowledge and skills will serve a sensitively

and respectfully re-constructed and re-imagined society that benefits all.

So please consult your Dragon Slayers Handbook and ask yourself, what knowledge have each

of your dragons taught you that you can, in turn, share with others to help them overcome

and slay their own personal set of dragons.

What can you offer them that they desperately want to know?

In this way you can uniquely support others to play a wiser, more respectful and transformative

role in the new world we all have a part (and responsibility) in recreating.

What is your unique role that only you can play

in this

new worldly reconstruction process?

Screensavers Before Windows | Nostalgia Nerd - Duration: 12:30.

Screensavers!

Saving our CRT screens from phosphor burns since the dark ages.

Now-days, screensavers are more for frivolous entertainment, but back when monitors were

as deep as they were wide, the Cathode Ray Tube electron gun could erode the phosphor

screen coating when showing a persistent image for a long period of time, creating a ghost

image which would never leave.

A bit like how concentrating a ray of sunlight on a particular spot will eventually burn

it.

However move that spot around and no damage will be done.

I for one, heavily associate screen savers with Microsoft Windows 3.1.

Mainly because that's the environment I first experienced them as a native operative system

feature, but Screen Savers have been with us for a good while before that.

The concept of a screen saver was even alluded to in the 1961 Robert Heinlein novel, Stranger

in a Strange Land.

"They went to the living room; Jill sat at this feet and they applied themselves to martinis.

Opposite his chair was a stereovision tank disguised as an aquarium; he switched it on,

guppies and tetras gave way to the face of the well-known winchell Augustus Greaves"

In 1979 the Atari 400 and 800 range of computers would initiate a screensaver like routine

if they were left inactive for too long.

A feature which was also present in certain games for the Atari 2600 such as Combat or

Breakout, saving lounge televisions from ruin, and the games console from being thrown in

the bin by raging parents.

In 1983 the Apple Lisa came with a built in screen blanking routine that would activate

after a time which could be manipulated by the user.

But in this video, I want to explore one small collection of screen-savers created especially

for Microsoft DOS.

Now, DOS may not evoke feelings of need for a screen saving application.

I mean, most of the screen is black anyway.

But then, most of the badly burnt screens I've seen over the years, have held the mark

of that unmistakable command prompt, perhaps showing a directory listing, or even the border

of a text based editing program.

After all, the contrast of bright text on a black backdrop is a stark contrast, and

therefore the perfect perpetrator for burningggggg.

The first application coined with the term "Screen Saver" was purportedly written in

1983 for DOS by John Socha - the creator of Norton Commander and it was simply called

scrnsave.

It was a Terminate and Stay Resident program, which after being initially executed, allowed

it to trigger the blackout routine after 3 minutes of inactivity, leaving the operator

secure and safe in the knowledge that their screen would be as fresh as a daisy when they

came back to it.

Various other programs then followed.

Some Terminate and Stay Resident, but the vast majority need to be manually run by the

user before leaving their desk.

So, let's begin with this classic from 1989.

Written by G McPhail, this freeware screensaver is one of those on demand programs.

Revealing a small collection of flies ambling around a zapper.

Once in a while the fly algorithm with cause a blighter to hit the zapper, for which we

are rewarded with sound.

This is 1989 excitement right here folks, and to be honest, I would have watched this

for hours, or at least just left it running on my screen for hours.

The only real problem is the static floor, pole and zapper don't make for a great screensaver,

although being cast in dull colours helps reduce burn.

Next, by Bob Siegel.

EYE.

The Eye is apparently observing whats going on in the world today, and given this assignment,

it looks suitably horrified at what it sees.

So we can presume it's working.

Sitting there, judging us all.. in a well of disdain and contempt.

The eye will occasionally expand, and if you dare to press a key, a good degree of bulging

will occur, along with a sound implying you should probably stop interrupting it's observations.

ESC however will return to you the DOS prompt.

Let it Rain...

With Rain.EXE.

Another 1989 affair, this time by Jay Wherley.

This little program simulates multi-coloured rain drops, falling on the screen.

You get a random background colour each time you start whilst remaining smug and secure

in the knowledge that you own a VGA graphics card capable of displaying an unprecedented

number of colours.

and sticking with the 256 colours offered by VGA, we have TUNNEL.

A trippy, multi-coloured experience, which would have blown EGA and CGA owners back into

their caves of misery.

Here's one of my personal favorites.

This spent a lot of time on my screen, as I ate my tea in front of GamesMaster, safely

content that my screen would be in pristine condition when I returned.

Plasma starts out by creating a image which reminds me of Global Hyper Color T-Shirts.

Once created, a colour cycle operation is repeated, creating this trance inducing effect.

You can delete the Plasma.IMG base file and start again, or just run Plasma based on this

existing image in the future, for rapid entry into this hyper colour dream world.

Just to round off this colour bonanza, we have VGAGLOW.

A more fractal inspired affair, which has a number of settings and colour palette swaps.

Seriously, this would have entertained me for a day.

In fact, it still might.

Alright, let's look at some more fun screen savers.

Screen savers with OPTIONS.

Everyone needs a virtual fish tank in their lives.

It harks even back to that novel I mentioned earlier, so what better than AQUARIUM by Ron

Gray, version 1.045.

This version is from 1992 and boy, does it offer some customisation options.

You can opt for a blue or black background, you can have wall paper, you can even choose

to show the tank wrap around, with bubbles and the floor, and all that malarkey.

But of course, you, like I, want to see the tank with every single option enabled.

ALL OF THE THINGS.

And this is what it looks like.

Isn't it a glorious feat for the eyes and senses.

So many fish, packed so densely in an EGA high resolution tank and with such a tiny

frame rate.

THIS is realism that would have been unfathomable in the 80s.

I can only hope that is the exact image in Robert Heinlein's mind when he wrote Stranger

in a Strange Land.

Because Aquarium is a REAL Attention Getter.

To be fair, it kept my undivided attention for a good hour.

I've got a few more to show you.

Screamer is a memory resident, key activated screen saver which actually locks your computer.

Should an intruder attempt to gain access and not enter the correct unlock "key", then

they'll be graced with this message.

God I miss DOS programs.

FIRE does a pretty good job at simulating fire, and even shows us our average frame

rate.... of TWO FRAMES PER SECOND.

BUSH, gives us the original George Bush in all his facial glory.

Inner Mission is one of the all time classics, a star field, with some nicely coloured pixels.

Fantasy is worth a mention, and not just because it was coded in QuickBASIC, but because it

creates some nice effects, and I'm particularity fond on the fact it doesn't bother removing

the previous graphic entirely from the screen before starting a new one.

Kind of like, "That'll do son!, let's move on".

SNOW is actually a memory resident screen saver, written in 1995 by Kevin Krausnick,

which provides a quite realistic representation of TV static, which is both attention grabbing,

and perfect for pretending that your PC actually has a TV card as well.

And it's not like DOS Screen savers died in the 90s, because this one by Bruno Felix Rezende

Ribeiro, called DCMATRIX is from 2015 and in it's own words; Is a program designed to

decode the Matrix into decimal.

It is based on the premis ethat it's easier for people to become proficient in interpreting

the Matrix code if instead of dealing with very cryptic symbols rolling down the screen,

they could deal with static and familiar symbols.

I dunno about you, but, yesssss.

I think I can start to make out..

No, I can see fuck all.

But, it's cool none the less.

Now there are so many more DOS screensavers than what I've demonstrated here, and many

cross over in the demo scene.

Programs like Nightbird and Sparkwood by Nicholas Centanni were used to showcase the XYZ++ 3D

graphics library in 1993, whilst LSDino was a show case in itself of VGA capabilities.

But before I draw this DOS screensaver escapade to an end.

There's one more thing to discuss, and that is After Dark for DOS.

Now After Dark is the popular screen saving prorgram created by Berkeley Systems in 1989

for the Macinstosh, and later in 1991 for Microsoft Windows.

I'll cover this in more detail in the next video, when I look at Screen savers in GUIs.

But this DOS version was actually released, after the Windows version, in 1993.

Mainly because DOS was still incredibly popular, even in a post Windows 3.1 world.

The DOS version is memory resident.

It has a load of options, but most importantly, it retains many of the screen savers from

the Windows versions.

So I'll leave you with some After Dark, and hopefully catch

you on the next video.

Hoorn, Netherlands: Holland's Golden Age - Duration: 1:33.

After mighty Rotterdam,

the tiny but historic port of Hoorn,

a couple of hours to the north, seems quaint.

But in its day, it was one of six trading cities

that joined forces to create the Dutch East India Company.

It evokes a rich history, from its once formidable harbor

to its main square.

Overlooking the square is the Westfries Museum,

which takes you vividly back to Holland's Golden Age.

Stepping into the venerable building,

which dates from the 1600s, the floor creaks.

Its planks were salvaged from centuries-old trading ships,

which likely sailed all the way to the Spice Islands

on the far side of the world.

Here, you feel the pride and power of the Dutch --

when they dominated world trade

and brutally capitalized on their far-flung colonial empire.

Pondering group portraits above the mantle,

you can imagine the influence and the wealth of these tycoons.

Here, they're portrayed as if they control the globe.

In a way, they did --

and much of that was because of the value

of the spices they imported.

With the bland cuisine of Europe back then,

you can imagine the demand for these new, exotic spices.

You could spice up both your food and your life

with peppercorns,

cloves, and cinnamon.

And nutmeg was so valuable it was said a bag of these

could buy a house in 17th-century Holland.

Cheap Alternative to FitBit - RunMe Fitness Tracker Review - Duration: 4:54.

Fitness Trackers are highly popular and for good reason. they're quite handy to

have around they can help keep track of your fitness routines and calories

burned keep track of your dietary intake and even monitor your sleep patterns the

most common of these trekkers is arguably Fitbit so much so that all

sometimes people refer to any wearable fitness tracker as a Fitbit regardless

of what brand it is but a regular Fitbit can run anywhere between 99 and 200

dollars depending on which one you purchase and that might be out of most

people spending range but even though Fitbit is the most popular name on the

market there are cheaper alternatives out there that provide the same if not

more options and a far more reasonable price tag today I'm going to be showing

you the run me fitness tracker the company sent me one of the run me

wearable trackers and for the past week I've been using it to see how it holds

up on Amazon the run me is under $40 currently and routinely goes on sale for

less I'm going to put a link to it in the

video description down below if you would like to check it out so I'll show

you how it works and then we're going to compare it to a Fitbit the band is made

of TPE or a thermoplastic rubber it's real

stretchy and strong and comfortable around your wrist and has an adjustable

latched connector similar to most watches it contains a Nordic internal

CPU and Akai Onix sensor this is the built-in accelerometer and gyroscope

that helps to determine what is a step and is not when is counting your steps

it features USB charging which you can access by removing the sensor from the

band and plugging it into a standard USB charging device like an outlet or even

your computer it takes about one and a half hours to fully charge and has

standby time between five and 10 days depending on your usage and then you

just snap it back into the band the interface on the device is an OLEDs

screen device and it's all touch based there's no physical buttons on it you

navigate the menus by taps and swipes of your fingers from the device you can

view your foot steps your heart rate calories burned distance traveled and

time active it also has onboard features such as relaxation mode to help slow

your breathing and relax stop watch SMS message reading capabilities weather

notification remote camera control GPS phone call alerts

sedentariness reminder music control find phone capabilities and more to get

the full experience of the device you need to download the free app from the

store called very fit Pro it's available for Android and Apple and it is free and

it connects to your tracker via bluetooth this allows you to create a

profile and track your daily activities you set it up by starting off with your

gender your birth date your height and weight which are the factors that the

device is used to estimate steps taken and calories burned because that's not

an exact science it just kind of has to get the best guess possible now I did

run into a little bit of trouble when I was trying to get this device to pair

with my phone via bluetooth but in all fairness I ran into the same problems

connecting the Fitbit and another fitness tracker I've been using which is

more or less a Bluetooth problem not the actual tracker itself but once it was

paired I didn't have any further difficulties getting it to sync

information between the band and the app for my activities so now let's put the

run me and the Fitbit to the test head-to-head for step counting I wore

both devices on the same hand and went for a one-mile walk around my

neighborhood then I checked the steps taken for that exercise on both of run

me and the Fitbit the steps counted were nearly identical within about 1% of each

other which is a negligible difference so let's compare features both the run

me and the Fitbit have heart rate monitor pedometer activity and sedentary

monitor relaxation mode calories burned multiple workout mode such is from the

ability to access call text and weather alerts built in GPS to record paths

traveled sleep pattern tracking and the ability to control music remotely the

Fitbit does keep an estimated tracking of the number of flights of stairs

climbed in a day whereas the read me does not and the read me allows for

remote control of camera which the Fitbit doesn't seem to do but besides

those two features the option is provided by the fitness bands are nearly

identical and my results from using both bands simultaneously is that the run me

performs just as good as the Fitbit in every case and the fact that the run me

is between 1/2 and 1/4 the cost of a Fitbit depending on which model you

choose this is a very viable alternative and I highly

recommend it if you're looking to purchase a new fitness tracker and that

wraps up my review of the run me fitness tracker if you have any questions do

drop it in the comment section down below I hope you found the information

useful and if you did do me a favor hit that thumbs up button below the video

because I truly do appreciate it and be sure to subscribe if you're new here so

you don't miss out on future videos thank you guys for your time you have a

wonderful day and I will talk to you later
