Waching daily Jul 27 2017

I've been watching a lot of anime lately.

I've also been consuming a lot of American comic book media, as I talked about little

bit here.

& in my binging I realized some interesting through lines and differences between the

2.

Some that a lot of people aren't talking about…. so… let's talk about them.

Japan is, different.

There's a lot of borrowing from western media's tropes and traditions and using them as a

tool for subversion.

Take Dragon Ball for example.

There's a lot done there to set Goku apart from American heroes.

The only problem is, with Dragon Ball the things that make Goku different are done JUST

for the sake of making him different.

Goku is Superman, but, instead of being all powerful and learning to live amongst, protect,

and at times foil a world of people that are vastly weaker than him because his alien papa

told him to.

Goku's journey is about realizing that no matter how strong you get there will always

be someone stronger.... & he also has an alien papa BUT THERE'S A TWIST he doesn't listen

to him cause concussions.

What drives Superman is the desire to protect a world he cares about.

Goku doesn't REALLY care about anything other than getting stronger, even to the point

of putting his family and friends in harm's way to achieve that goal.

Yeah, sure, Goku does a lot of good, but, it's pretty much all incidental and congruent

with his ACTUAL goal.

Akira Toriyama put a fair amount of effort into making Goku appear as a character driven

by his selfishness because traditional heroes typically strive to be selfless.

As a person I'm sure you UNDERSTAND and can RELATE with Superman's driving force.

He cares for the people that have cared for him.

He cares for the woman he loves.

& he cares for the world that facilitated that.

Goku has similar relationships, but, he doesn't seem to see the value in them in the same

way.

& yeah, sure you could argue in favor of nature vs nurture.

Which is the idea that the person you are is largely because of your genetics.

"Goku's a saiyan!

OF COURSE he cares most about getting stronger!"

You may say, but, what about Vegeta?

In the relatively short amount of time Vegeta's been on earth he has developed far deeper

feelings for the people in his life.

He drops his pride for them.

& Vegeta putting he pride aside is a HUGE deal.

That to me disproves the idea that saiyans inherently value and strive for battle prowess

above all else.

Goku is SIMPLY like that because Toriyama wanted him to be.

Which, in my opinion, is dumb.

There's no believable in-universe justification there to explain WHY Goku is like that.

You're just supposed to accept that he's like that, because, anime.

Well, My Hero Academia is a modern take on this approach.

& I'd say it does it WAY better in that it's a lot more believable given the circumstances.

For those of you that don't know My Hero Academia is a Shonen manga & anime series created by

avid Naruto fan Kohei Horikoshi.

I threw that Naruto fan bit in there because Horikoshi has stated that he's a pretty

big one in the past.

In a collaborative send off to the Naruto series, fellow shonen mangakas wrote a few

words to Naruto series creator Masashi Kishimoto.

In his blurb Horikoshi said "Naruto is my youth itself.

Thank you so much for creating the best shonen manga!"

& that fandom becomes even clearer when you see how similar the main character of My Hero

Academia, Izuku is to Naruto.

They both have very similar problems and as a result of those problems, very similar goals.

They have similar relationships with their childhood friends, colleagues, mentors.

So yeah, the countless comparisons on YouTube make sense.

HOWEVER a comparison that I DON'T see as much in any real capacity is to X-Men.

& I find that strange the 2 have a lot more in common albeit inversely.

My Hero Academia is all about thriving in a world filled with super-humans and people

that strive to be like them.

& the first subversive quality of My Hero Academia is the fact that the main character

Izuku is one of the weak ones.

There's nothing really special about him at all.

From the beginning of the show we learn that Izuku is a normal kid born to a super powered

mother, which, ironically isn't so normal.

Despite this Izuku's hope is to eventually develop a power of his own and become an admirable

beacon of hope.

Just like the strongest hero of their world, All Might.

Problem is, he probably won't develop powers.

He's a middle schooler.

That's WAY too old.

This leads to him being teased by his peers.

Even his own mom doesn't believe he'd be able to achieve his goal without powers.

THIS is strange, but, let's put a pin in this part, let's talk about X-Men.

X-Men focuses a lot on the relationship between mutants and normal humans.

This relationship, unlike My Hero Academia's relationship with non-super powered humans

is NOT a positive one.

There's a lot of fear and anger and disgust.

The normal humans DO NOT like the mutants.

At all. & for the most part the feeling is mutual.

A lot of the less aggressive mutants wish to still live pretty detached from the normies.

Some more Malcolm X inspired mutants take the by any means necessary approach.

& some turn to what I would say borders on self hate, and try to assimilate the ways

of the normal folk.

Hiding their powers or in some instances "cure" themselves of their mutation all together.

& this divide in world views amongst the mutant community leads to a lot of in fighting and

jealousy and general confusion.

Even the way X-Men REFERS to the super powered humans has a negative bend to it.

MUTATION implies something went WRONG.

My Hero Academia on the other hand is a lot more optimistic about their universes super-powered

humans, they refer to THEIR powers as "quirks."

These powers as I said before, are revered, coveted.

Not feared, or hated.

& it's not like the dynamic is reversed or anything.

Humans aren't looked down upon by the general hero populous.

Stupid immature kids say stuff like this: But humans are generally seen as something

to be protected.

& yeah.

I mean sure Izuku wants to be a hero but he never HATES heroes for being what he WANTS

to be but doesn't seem to be able to be. & after learning of the unlikelihood of him

becoming like them, he doesn't even necessarily think he NEEDS to be like them to still achieve

his goal.

He thinks he can be a hero anyway through hard work and grit.

Well, at least until his mom crushes those dreams.

Another subversion comes from the schools in X-Men and My Hero Academia.

They have opposing goals.

In My Hero Academia the hero school exists to teach the students to use their quirks

with the ultimate goal of becoming a hero for those less fortunate.

The school in X-Men is more about learning to master mutations and ultimately how to

survive in a world that hates you because of them.

It's an escape of sorts.

There's no real prodding in the direction of being a hero and much like Goku, heroism

in X-Men tends to be incidental rather than something they dedicate their lives to.

& yeah, there are some X-Men that see through the segregation and seek to help those in

need from time to time but that's almost as rare as the super powered humans in My

Hero Academia's school wanting to be villains, like, this douche.

Even less overt themes like fate are the inverse between the 2.

Like I said grit and determination is a central theme in My Hero Academia's plot well, fate

and pre determined destinies and such is ALL over the X-Men to the point where there is

a character LITERALLY NAMED DESTINY whose WHOLE POWER is to foresee the future.

& sure there's some themes in X-Men that aren't REALLY explored in My Hero Academia

like death and resurrection, or control, or sanity but there's A LOT of clear comparisons

to be made here.

I find that interesting.

Maybe you do too.

All of this is to say, I don't think one is necessarily BETTER than the other, but,

I do find My Hero Academia's interpretation to be more BELIEVABLE.

I can't imagine a world of super powered humans that protect the weak would be looked

down upon.

They would be celebrated and looked up to, and yeah kids would want to be like them.

Sure SOME people may be scared of them but I HIGHLY doubt it would be to the extent that

they are in the X-Men universe.

& BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT COMMENTING that X-Men was social commentary on race relations

in our real world I GEEET IT!

That's what the subtext was and is, but, I'm speaking to the surface level of X-Men.

People hating super powers makes NO SENSE TO ME!

So what did we learn?

Goku is still a *censored* "protagonist"

But those are MY thoughts what do YOU think?

Any other american influenced anime that you can think of?

Who do you think does it best?

Let me know in the comments, share this video with someone you like a lot or maybe hate

I don't judge.

The Two Types Of Cosmic Connections You'll Encounter – We Don't Meet Anyone By Accident - Duration: 7:39.

The Two Types Of Cosmic Connections Youll Encounter We Dont Meet Anyone By Accident

By consciousreminder

All our lives we search and seek to find the one who will complement and complete us.

Often people confuse longing for inner peace and balance for the want of true love.

Although the two have a connection, obtaining one with out the other isnt enough.

A person must find balance and peace with in themselves by finding their own way and

life path.

Once a person begins this journey a mate of the same likeness will be attracted to them.

Mates who share common life paths and destinies are often referred to as soul mates.

The bond that two soul mates share is established before their physical manifestation.

These two peoples destinies are intertwined.

They often hold the keys to each others mental, spiritual, and physical evolution.

Not all soul mates are intimate, and you may have more than one per lifetime.

Regardless of preconceived notions one will always when they have encountered a soul mate.

Good or bad, it is always a life changing experience.Soul mates are two soul from the

same soul group.

Meaning that when everything was infinitely connected, before the fall into the physical

dimensions, these two souls were one.

Soul mates have met many life times and are continually bound to each other by karma and

destiny.

When these souls come together in harmony with themselves; each other, and their destiny,

they will find that their purpose n this planet is to create change and assist with bringing

forth the coming universal consciousness.

Twin flames are the soul reflected opposites of each other.

Meaning that in the spiritual and physical realms this person is the dualistic reflection

of you soul.

Many people have different arguments claiming that this is not the same as a soul mate,

but push forward to give similar descriptions when it comes to the nature of their relationships.

I encourage everyone to do their own research when it comes to that matter and arrive at

your own conclusions.

Regardless if they are the same they hold a significant role in spiritual mental and

physical development.

As fore-mentioned there is more than one soul mate per person, but there are also different

types of soul mates as well.

The main two are Karmic and Cosmic.

A Karmic soul mate is someone who comes to teach you an unfinished lesson and balance

your karma.

There will come a point in the relationship where it becomes turbulent and unstable, but

one will feel the same connection as that of a soul mate.

You may experience many of the same signs and symptoms of a soul mate relationship,

but ultimately the relationship will result in major life changes for the people who experience

it.

A Cosmic soul mate connection will be almost instant.

It may feel as if you have known each other your whole lives.

Conversations will flow things will seem very natural between you.

You will have similar life paths with your cosmic soul mate and they will most likely

come into your life unexpectedly.

You may notice that the two of you have a very strong psychic connection.

You will most likely share some sort of 11:11 connection either in your birthday, day you

met, or other significant numerical situations.

When you speak to or are around your soul mate you may feel a sense of completion and

oneness with this person.

You may even experience a sudden calm or stillness with in, this is you soul mate realigning

and healing your past emotional and mental scars.

Both types of soul mate have a purpose.

The Karmic soul mate comes to strengthen us and put us on a path to serious self introspection.

They may bring out the worst in us but this is like an emotional detox.

By doing so they allow us the chance to take a good look at a lot of subconscious emotional

toxins.

It is up to us to decide whether or not to fix them.

If we do, often times we begin the journey to true enlightenment and soul fulfillment.

The cosmic soul mate counter acts the process of the karmic soul mate by giving us the healing

and warmth we need to grow after suffering through the violent detox that was our karmic

soul mate.

These people come into our lives to bring us not only healing but closer to our true

selves.

They assist us with the defeat of our personal demons and support us with that struggle.

They also come to assist us with both our personal and spiritual ascension process.

The main difference between the two in my eyes is that a karmic soul mate is hindered

in some way from establishing the soul ties necessary to create a soul mate connection

in this lifetime.

Where as the cosmic soul mate will be MORE THAN READY and able to do so.

If you are looking to attract a soul mate there are many meditations, rituals, practices,

candles to light, and colors to wear but the most important part of attracting a soul mate

is becoming whole with in self.

Find your inner peace and balance and this will reflect back to you in all relationships.

Here are a couple tips to follow when you are ready to attract a soul mate.

Colors to use (wear or candles to light) : pink, blue, purple, and green.

These colors resonate on a higher frequency and will aid in aligning your spirit to be

ready to receive your soul mate.

Create love affirmations in your own words to reprogram your subconscious mind to accept

love.

Listen to 528 hz love frequency and align and clear your heart chakra.

This can be done through meditation, yoga, or mantras.

Take an honest look at your self and strive toward self improvement.

When you suspect someone may be a potential soul mate you will be prompted by several

signs.

11:11 ties telepathic connection, for example you think

of them and they call or you might do or say things at the same time.

You will have had a lot of similar life experiences.

You will both be ready to form a soul mate connection.

Will feel like the relationship flows You will both accept each other as you are

You will try to avoid unnecessary conflict You become more than lovers you may

become friends, business partners, ect.

After coming together you will see dramatic growth and life improvement

It is important to note that a soul mate or twin flame is not only limited to intimate

relationships.

They can be family relationships, friends, and sometimes even enemies (karmic) as all

relationships have their purpose.

The purpose of a soul mate relationship is to help the souls that were split reunite.

By doing so it further unites the cosmic universal energy that flows through us.

Our ability to unify is our ability to express the divinity that shines with in.

Analyzing the Argument - Part 2 of 2 - Duration: 6:26.

The previous video was about understanding how an argument is built

so we can read it critically and see if the argument is logical.

(Make sure you watch that video first.)

Now, one way to analyze the argument is to look closely

at the evidence the writer presents and ask if it is relevant and sufficient.

So, stick around and let's talk about evaluating the evidence.

Hi! Welcome to Snap Language.

Marc Franco here.

So, to build an argument,

we present a series of claims that lead to a conclusion.

Of course, the premises in the argument

must support the conclusion in a way that makes sense...

um... of course!

You'd be surprised, though.

Even an argument that "appears" to make sense may not be really strong;

it may not even be a valid argument.

Let's look at a fairly obvious example first.

"Eckstown is a great place to live.

"It has many parks and recreation areas where you can relax and exercise.

"Its parks have vast green areas including trees and wild flowers.

"The Eckstown Public Library was founded in 1841, making it one of oldest

libraries in the area."

In this simple paragraph, the topic is "Eckstown."

The point the author wants to make is that Eckstown is "a great place to live."

The author presented three premises to support this conclusion.

Now, looking at each premise closely, the first is that

Eckstown has many parks and recreation areas.

That's actually good evidence.

Most people would agree that this makes any town a good place to live.

The next premise is that the parks are green and beautiful.

Well, that's more information about the parks still.

What else is there?

The final premise is that Eckstown has an old library.

That's great, but... the conclusion is that it's a great place to live.

Having an old library is interesting,

but it's not quite *relevant* to that conclusion.

That's not very closely related to the claim;

it doesn't provide adequate support.

So, "pretty parks" is good evidence.

An "old library?"...

not so much.

Is that all?

Typically, when you think of a good place to live, you think of safety,

good jobs and schools,

shops and restaurants,

good transportation,

and so forth...

The author here said "nice" things about Eckstown, but

one relevant piece of evidence isn't quite enough to support a conclusion.

[snap]

"Eckstown is a very safe place to live.

"Take a quick stroll around town, and you will likely run into

friendly and helpful people.

"A study showed a 60% decrease

in robberies and burglaries in recent years.

"No violent crimes were reported last year."

What's the point (or the conclusion) here?

Does the writer present sufficient evidence to support that conclusion?

Is the evidence relevant to the conclusion?

Pause the video and see if you can answer these questions...

Did you pause the video?

The main point here is that Eckstown is a safe place to live.

Starting from the bottom here, no one reported any violent crimes

last year.

Yes, that's relevant to being a safe place.

But what about previous years?

Maybe last year was different somehow?

The writer also mentioned no *violent* crimes.

How about other types of crimes?

But, overall, no violent crimes could mean it's a safe place.

So, let's say it's okay evidence for now.

Besides, we must consider all the evidence, so let's continue...

There was a 60% reduction in crimes!

That sounds good...

Well... that's 60% of what number?

If there were, say, 1,000 crimes before,

60% fewer than 1,000 is still a lot of crimes.

A writer often includes a study and statistics or data

because they provide strong support to a claim

and readers tend to believe this type of information.

As critical readers,

we know sometimes it only *sounds* good.

We still need to ask questions

to see if any piece information truly supports the main point

regardless where the information comes from.

Finally, you'll run into a lot of friendly, helpful people in Eckstown.

Eh!

The point is that it's a safe place, not how nice the people are.

As you can see, even when it *appears* there's good information to support

a conclusion, you should always evaluate that evidence.

Did the author present sufficient information?

Is all the information good and relevant to the conclusion?

In this paragraph?...

Uh... not so much.

[snap]

I'm not saying you should never believe anything you read.

If we trust the source, it's very likely the writer will do their best

to support their claims and provide sufficient and relevant information.

But we don't want to learn something that's not very accurate, right?

We don't want people to persuade us to believe something

unless they give us very good reasons to do so...

So, we should always read critically.

Always make sure conclusions are logical and accurate...

and supported by sufficient and relevant information.

Is that all?

Yes, pretty much!...

so, the next time you read something, look closely!

I often put extra information

in the description box below a video, so take a look.

There are more things you can do to read critically, but

that's all for this video.

What do you do to read critically?

Maybe you do something I didn't mention here, so

put it in the comments.

For now, click that "like button"

and subscribe to Snap Language on YouTube.

And read critically...

... use those critical eyes...

Yeah...

Bye!

Feminists & SJW's VS. Video Games - Duration: 38:50.

Are video games too sexist?

How aboot racist?

Including some asking if the game industry is sexist.

Games community is at each others throat when talking about the subject of race.

Racism in video games: The New Norm?

And some countries are responding to what they view as sexism in video games.

The more time a teenage boy spends playing video games, the more likely he will be to

develop sexist attitudes.

Too many games they say, perpetuate a culture of sexism and misogony.

Can video games influence racial stereotypes?

Saddle up, internet, were going there.

Here we go again.

Same old shit, dog just a different day.

Here we go again.

You know how niggas do when we play how we play.

Here we go again.

A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.

Here we go again.

In the War Against Video Games we learned that theres always something destroying society,

and we learned that violence in video games had massive amounts of coverage and research

over the course of 40 years.

There was something to be said about violent media affecting the minds of people, yet it

overshadowed the sexism & equality debate, but the attacks on gaming from feminists and

sjws have had extensive coverage in the last 5+ years.

Sexism and Racism has been a topic of debate on the video game industry since the 1980s.

Although it never got that much attention back then, but as the industry continued to

grow and with the advent of the Internet allowing anyone to easily have their opinions seen

& heard, the issue of Sexism, Misogony, & race in gaming, started popping up all over media

websites, game journalists, on YouTube, everywhere.

The combined might of Feminism, the Social Justice movement, and the idea of Racial Diversity

and equality, was enough to bring up serious questions on the ethics of the video game

industry.

Are some video games sexist towards women, or racist towards certain ethnic groups?

Is it even a real issue?

With so many articles, videos and opinions floating around cyberspace, join me, as I

seek to understand both sides and settle the battle of Feminists and SJWs vs. Video Games.

In order to understand a current issue, we have to look back at what potentially caused

it.

We cant just look at WWII and be like, eh just a bunch of pissed of Germans wanted to

rule the world and kill jews, and that, children is a complete summary of the 2nd World War.

Theres more to it than that!

So to understand why Feminists and SJWs have been attacking the game industry, we have

to look back at the origins of that industry.

This part might not be as entertaining or fun as the rest of the video but goddamnit

this is the most critical point of the whole issue.

Its important to understand that video games are a business, and any business worth their

salt is going to identify the type of people that purchase their products.

Then theyll market and advertise to appeal to those consumers, to the demographic.

For example, my channel is entirely based on video games, which is why youll never see

me make a video on fucking leather belts or something.

LEATHER BELT?

AUUUGHH!

The target audience for video games back in the 70s & 80s was predominately young males,

teenagers, back then Arcades were tailored towards this demographic, as you can see in

this archive footage of gaming arcades, the people playing the games are almost entirely

boys, teenagers, and a few adult males.

One of the big breakthroughs in broadening the gaming demographic to women and girls

was Pac-Man.

Toru Iwatani the creator, intended the game to attract women to arcades, and it was successful,

spurning the sequel, Ms. Pac-Man.

If the game industry only appealed to one gender, theyre missing out on 50% of the population

and money they could be making.

A study done in 1982 found the percentage of male to female gamers was 80% male to 20%

female, roughly.

As the years went on, higher percentages of women played video games, recently a statistic

has been circling the web claiming women make up around or more than half of the gaming

population.

But this statistic doesnt mean weve reached a point where gaming as a whole has an equal

target demographic.

Because whats REALLY important, is understanding which genre of games male and females like

to play.

I want you to pay attention to this chart that lays out the percentages of women who

play which genre of game, notice that only 2 of the genres listed, are predominately

played by women.

I didnt even know what Match 3 was before this video, but its a genre of games where

you...

match 3 tiles... yea theres a genre for that.

So applying this chart to the gaming industry, it should be apparent why most games are marketing

to appeal to men.

By understanding how the target audience for video games has changed over the years, and

how it is currently, we see why video games were marketed and created with the male demographic

primarily in mind.

And how gaming culture has shaped into what it is today.

Remember this fucking chart because its goddamn important.

Are games racist?

Yea...

Mario, that is like a stereotype that runs around inside of your Nintendo, man.

This study, showing that playing video games for Caucasian college students could result

in racist thoughts and behavior.

The first scene is the black dude just getting his ass kicked, specifically by a white dude!

Sometimes I believe the hype man, we mess it up for ourselves and blame the white man.

But dont point the finger you jigga-boo, take a look at yourself ya dumb nigga you.

Whats happening to the video game industry right now, has been happening to Hollywood

and the film industry for the last century, though not nearly as extreme.

The same complaint made against Hollywood is being made against video games.

There isnt enough diversity What in the hells diversity?

For movies this had merit as discrimination and inequality was rampant in the film industry.

Dont get me wrong, its important that games and movies have a unique cast of characters,

to represent different types of people.

A diverse pool of people can bring interesting perspectives to the table.

But its not as simple as checking off the black, asian, and Mexican boxes for characters.

This creates tokenism, which is when a form of art or a story specifically inserts diverse

characters for no other reason than they feel they have to.

Not because it fits the framework of what theyre trying to do.

Ironically enough, when games do feature diverse locations or settings, they play the race

card if there are or arent representation for race X.

As in the case with Left 4 Dead 2.

What does Hurricane Katrina and setting the game in New Orleans have to do with one another?

And what do they have to do with racist undertones in video games?

Now I speak for myself, but I imagine most non-racist, non-sexist, people would agree.

When I watch a movie or play a game, I dont think to myself,

Oh hey, this has a black, lead character, thats diverse, thats good.

Im more interested in the writing, the cinematography, the sounds, the music, the dialogue, the character

itself.

Unless it relates to the subject matter of the story itself, I dont give a fuck about

the color of their skin.

I just want to be entertained and if possible, see a culture or idea Ive never seen before.

See the real problem is seeing a lack of diversity as a problem.

When you boil down the quality of any art or a narrative down to a gender or % of skin

tones you see in that art or narrative, you are making the diversity quota an issue.

Take this stereotypical hipster, Also some reasons as to why GTA V is actually objectively

sexist!

First up, reason one: 3 male leads.

Wha-?

Objectively sexist??

Ok is Charlies Angels objectively sexist?

That features 3 female leads.

What kind of fucking logic is that?

You got 3 lead characters, one of em isnt female?

Boom.

Sexism!

Its about discovering who your character is, and theres a lot more to that than skin color.

And the same goes for gender, sexuality, religion and all those other facets of diversity too.

Some of the games that have come under criticism from a lack of diversity or racism will just

blow your fucking mind.

You get to choose what torture device you get to use on the random brown guy.

So you can either electrocute him or waterboard him or pull his teeth out.

Its nice that you get to choose how to hate.

The racism has shifted from overt caricatures to overt actual, real-world racism.

Yes, some games do have stereotypes, but the mere depiction of a stereotype doesnt make

a game is racist.

If youre playing a game and you think the characters might be racist stereotypes, ask

yourself, Is this meant to depict a greater image about the characteristics of an entire

group of people?

Or is this just a simple, easy way for game developers to create diverse characters?

Or is it just meant to be funny?

The whole point of making fun of stereotypes is to allow us to laugh at ourselves.

Everytime white dudes pass out around each other they always do some borderline gay shit

when the guy is asleep.

These racial characterizations are spot on, again and again!

Even in some of the less prominent races.

The Spaniards, for example, are portrayed as effete be-clawed homosexuals in colorful

spandex.

Just as they are in real life.

So when people get so butthurt over this kind of stuff, I think its a sign of insecurity.

Its only racist if it was made with racist intent

One of the most controversial was Resident Evil 5.

Which was based in Africa and had you fight against zombies with dark skin.

Yet the way SJWs reacted to this, it seems to imply we cant have video games set in the

continent of Africa, because doing so is inherently racist.

The most racist game I played recently was probably Resident Evil 5.

The bad guys in this game, which are all just Africans with spears, literal spears that

theyre chucking at you.

Its in Africa, its been in Antacrtica.

Its been I think, in Spain?

Its been in the Midwest.

Wasnt racist then, why should it be racist now?

Its in Africa.

Have fun with the game!

Play the game!

If location can make a game racist, then why isnt the Jewish community in an uproar over

games that take place in Germany?

And heres another question, if they made the indigenous people of the villages in resident

Evil 5 white, wouldnt you have still complained because the game was inaccurate?

And the developers failed to depict the people of the villages in a proper manner?

Of course you would.

That would be something to complain about!

Take Witcher 3 for example, made by a polish game developer, based on a novel written by

a Polish man in Poland, who based that novel on Polish mythology and Euorpean folklore.

Now Witcher 3 came under fire and criticism because it features an all white cast.

You wanna know why there arent any black, asian or mexican dudes in Witcher 3?

For the exact same reason that African movies feature mostly African people.

Action packed movie!!!

Or Chinese films feature mostly, you wont get this Chinese people!

Because any piece of art is going to reflect the culture from where it originates.

Remember when I talked about target audience?

Well the majority of people in America are White, the majority of sexual orientation

is straight, and the majority of people who play hardcore games are Men.

So if you use your handy dandy notebook and tally up the numbers, youd see the reason

why so many games have straight white male protagonists and characters is because thats

the goddamn demographic!

Well I want you to guess the demographic population of Poland.

J-j-just take a guess!

Take a second.

If you guessed 98.5% White, youreright!!

Skin color does not define culture.

And thats the point I want to me, culture in video games is more important than skin

color.

Ill say this once more, skin color does not define culture.

But this article by polygon seems to think otherwise.

Reviews have lavished praise, perfect scores and awards on it.

While some reviews have mentioned issues such as sexism, none I read mentioned another crucial

misstep: Not a single human in the game is a person of color.

And its tied to a central issue here that gaming as whole needs to face: Concerns of

minority groups are not only ignored, theyre so often not even considered.

Yes, according to, Tauriq here.

Representing people of color is an issue the entire gaming industry needs to face no matter

what country you come from.

Because fuck your nation, fuck your culture, fuck your history give me diversity or Ill

write a shitty, racist article about it.

Almost every Witcher 3 review I came across was written by a white man

WHO GIVES A FUCK?

Are you here to review the game or just be fuckin racist?

"Historically accurate" is another common defense for many awful actions in fiction.

WHAT?!

ARE YOU SAYING CHANGE HISTORY?!

FOR THE SAKE OF DIVERSITY!

WHAT FUCKIN PLANET DO YOU LIVE ON?

This goes to show no matter what you do, someone will be pissed off about it.

So who would DICE rather piss off with Battlefield 1?

Historians & fans of the series?

Or a bunch of butthurt, blathering babies that want to see history changed to include

women in a war that they barely even fought in?

Who would CD Projekt Red rather piss off?

The Polish nation, the people and mythology of Poland?

Or some fuckwit dingos that care too much about skin color?

Tauriq Moosa saw a game gaining massive praise and attention, and he saw nobody talking about

the lack of colored people, so he was like, B-b-but what about people of color?!

YOU RACISTS!

You dehumanizing racist fucks!

You want equality?

How many Polish video games are there?

That you know about?

Guarentee for 99% of gamers, this is it.

This is Polands video game industry.

How many people of color have you seen in video games, HUNDREDS!

So rather than rejoice, like this guy, in the fact that the Polish nation can take pride

in one of their works being so critically acclaimed, by the WORLD!

This backwards asshat of a man, tries to self-victimize himself and disregard the nation of Poland.

Obama doesnt even play games and he recognizes the accomplishments of the Polish people in

making the Witcher games.

This article is a perfect example of how SJWs can get so wrapped up in their own ideology,

that they dont realize what theyre writing is racist, culturally insensitive, virtue

signaling propaganda . That attacks the very diversity it seeks to promote.

I bet most of you watching this right now, never actually thought to yourself, hey I

havent seen a (insert skin color of person that isnt white) in this game.

You know why you dont think that?

Cuz youre a normal person that doesnt look and judge things based on skin color.

Isnt that the point of equality?

To highlight the fact that we are all equal?

That we are all human beings?

That skin color is irrelevant?

If so, why does it matter what the color of anyones fucking skin is??

America has a big history with race because we are a very diverse country.

But as Morgan Freeman wisely said: How are we gonna get rid of racism?

Stop talking about it.

Stop making it an issue.

Stop trying to put race into every discussion, into every piece of media and art.

Stop trying to make race an issure.

People are so concerned about diversity that theyll write page after page, article after

article why not just write a diverse story?

I think a lot of these people spend so much time behind Twitter, that they forget they

have two hands, they have a brain, they have the ability to create, to design, to explore,

to imagine.

They have all of these tools at their disposal, but instead of actually taking the time to

put their money where theyre fucking mouth is, they sit behind a computer screen and

complain.

These types of articles are systematic problems of game journalist ethics, and their resort

to clickbait and cause controversy around popular well-known games.

Is there a lack of diverse people from different cultures as video game characters and in the

industry?

Perhaps, but its not really an issue, thats just the demographics of America.

Now if you want to change what video game companies appeal to, youd need to change the

demographics, and good luck with that.

But it seems to me like these people want to change the way our culture and other cultures

& countries create art, to fit their own standards and ideologies of diversity and racial acceptance

and that seems far more damaging to society, then a lack of diversity ever could be.

Because the more you make an issue of race and color, the more you make race and color

an issue.

Despite the number of articles and videos Ive gone through, its hard to even understand

what it is Feminists and SJWs want from all the commotion theyre causing.

What really is the end goal or the vision they are seeking?

Ok so youre tired of seeing sexy women in video games, so you want unattractive women

in video games?

Why?

You want unattractive men in video games?

Why?

Its art, you can make your characters look however you want.

I feel retarded even having to say this, but people like things that are attractive.

You want more diversity in the skin color of characters?

Ok, how much more do you want?

How are you gonna get it?

So they want more women and colored people working in the industry.

Alright, so why are you not directing your articles towards the minority groups you want

represented?

Why arent you trying to convince them a job in the game industry is something to be desired?

Theres a reason certain jobs are dominated by a specific group, women just arent as interested

in engineering as men are.

Is the engineering industry sexist women arent interested in it?

Fuck no.

People like different things and there is no perfect harmony of equality that can be

achieved in every industry across the globe.

Im constantly wondering what the goal is.

An equal amount of men & women, Colored people in video games, making video games, playing

games and promoting them?

Is that even realistic?

Its hard to find a feminist or SJW that can articulate their points in a way that gamers

can empathize with and still be somewhat respectable.

But at least there is one, the factual Feminist.

Are there video games that are ripe with sexism?

Do they promote a culture of misogyny and violence that must be dismantled?

Well, my answer is no.

As far as I can tell, there really is no tangible end goal for these people, its all about pushing

an ideology, conforming people to that ideology, begging for attention, clicks, views, and

virtue signaling.

You see so many of these videos and articles dont actually provide a solution or a means

to get there, its just bitching and moaning.

In the quest for diversity and equality, it appears what feminists and sjws want games

to do is pretty straightforward.

More women in strong roles, ethnically diverse characters and protagonists, , armor should

not be lingerie, etc.

I think that sounds reasonable.

But looking past the surface value of these blanket statements and actually listening

to what these people want, becomes an indecipherable paradox.

And there is so many layers of irony its hard to wrap your mind around it.

You cant portray woman as victims of violence or abuse.

You cant portray women as being violent or abusive.

Cant portray women as sexy.

Women in the industry cant portray women as being sexy.

You cant not portray women at all.

You cant portray a woman being rescued by a man.

You cant portray black people getting killed, you cant portray black people killing.

You cant portray any stereotype.

You cant have a game set in the continent of Africa.

You cant not portray people of all the different skin colors and genders, regardless of if

it makes no sense within the context of the game.

Would you like it if we only made games that were approved of by every single person on

the planet? Thats a good idea, huh?

But if that were the case, I guess game production would stop in its tracks and no game would

ever get made again.

Well if we listened to these people, what can we do?

Thats the thing, theyd never be happy.

Because most of these Feminists and SJWs are complaining about video games to an American

audience, but then try to take games from other countries and apply American principles

to those.

Whats that?

Japanese companies are making games showing scantily clad women playing VOLLEYBALL?

S-tereotyping people from other nations?

QUICKLY!

AMERICAN PRINCIPLE CARD ACTIVATE!

Well as you probably noticed most of the people who criticize video game content for being

offensive or problematic tend to be Americans speaking to an American audience.

But since American studios are not responsible for producing so much of what gets criticized,

it seems to me that any criticism that fails to distinguish between American studios and

Japanese studios is deeply unfocused and unproductive.

Ironic how the stereotypical American policing the world is trying to control what game companies

from other nations put in their games.

Youre becoming the American Stereotype that you dont want represented in video games.

Yet you believe you own the world, that because your American, your sense of morality is better

than every other country.

All these propositions from Feminists and SJWs is just restriction.

silencing certain expression of speech, which ironically is against American principles.

And the most ironic part, is all these Feminists and SJWs complain about the sexism, racism,

yada yada in video games but at the end of the day who do they expect to fix this problem

in a male dominated industry?

Theres nothing more hilarious in my book when someone bites off more than they can chew,

and blames the food when they choke.

It takes a special type of thinking to believe you can attack and harass a group of people

and call yourself a victim when they swing back.

Let alone against a community of people that have been attacked by mainstream media, by

politicians by their parents, by just about everything.

Thats what so many of these feminists and SJWs do, is constantly play victim to the

point that they actually make it a profession.

After all, Brianna Wu is making 40% of Barack Obamas salary for simply existing, so this

harassment narrative is working quite well for them.

But Ill take a note from Sarkeesians book: when women constantly portray themselves as

victims, it disempowers them because now they need to be saved by someone else.

And they cant deal with the threats they face on their own.

Coincidentally, Ill be discussing Gamergate as well.

Look, nobody approves of death threats but if youre gonna publicly insult and demonize

millions of gamers and the industry they love, you cant act shocked when you get threats

like that.

These people didnt attack you first, you attacked them, you werent doing anything then you attacked

them.

Not to mention, its the fucking internet!

People on the internet are GAMERS!

If you dont want to be harassed, dont incite the wrath of the internet.

The logic of Professional victims is something like this, Im sure this is a fallacy in some

philosophy book, the I am being targeted and harassed by many people of the side I am opposing,

therefore you should take my side, because youre an empathetic human, and these barbarians

are threatening me.

You know, theres an age old saying, dont talk shit, if you cant take a hit.

You suck Hulk Hogan dick and you fucking suck Hulk Hogan ass.

This is why societies have their own form of checks and balances right.

When someones talking shit outta their mouth, society checks that person so they dont wreck

themselves.

Right, but if the person is so arrogant and self-absorbed that they cant check themselves,

their gonna wreck themselves.

Theres also the famous story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and it particularly applies to

the case of Brianna Wu.

For those that dont know, Brianna Wu is a professional victim, and shes actually a dude,

real name, John Flynt.

Yup shes a real fucking Frank Fontaine, and a con artist who perpetuates harassment towards

himself for personal gain.

Now dont take this as a knock against trans people, because the point is John Flynt uses

his experience as a woman to justify his terrible actions and gain support through donations.

With the amount of evidence showing his false flagging, creating accounts to harass himself,

and narcissistic way of tying every tragedy back to him, its hard to take any possible

death threat against him seriously.

And this is one of the spearheads of the Anti-Gamergate Movement.

Why should anyone believe this death threat wasnt fabricated like the others?

John Flynt had brought on the wolves so hard so many times, that now hes being harassed

by people because he faked being harassed and is trying so hard to become a victim.

Its a self-fullfilling prophecy.

At least death threats are exactly what they are, but this maliciousness is far worse than

that.

Purposely inciting hatred and diverting police resources away from actual issues all for

the sake of what?

Equal representation in video games?

Or is it more likely self-gain.

Then weve got Zoe Quinn, another con artist who once again takes on multiple aliases.

Eh she did a little bit of porn here, but you know, that doesnt matter.

Because her corruption and the shittiness of her character has been well exposed and

documented.

Like John Flynt, shes got a shady as fuck background that if you want to know more,

check the description for a link.

Of course, theres Anita Sarkeesian, and fuck me Im gonna spend time dissecting that turd

basket.

But you know people like this really make me appreciate Jack Thompson, though an irrational,

single-minded guy who was wrong about pretty much everything he said and did.

At least he was straight forward, and sometimes actually had good intentions; he wasnt a fucking

snake like these witches.

He wasnt a self-victimizing cunt, just a dude fighting the wrong battle.

Now the optimist in me wants to believe that many of these SJWs and Feminists have good

intentions, but people like Brianna Wu, Zoe Quinn, and Anita Sarkeesian make me think

those people with good intentions are doing it for nothing more than selfish, personal

gain.

When youve got this type of representation at the top of your movement, it makes everyone

else look like shit.

And thats the real tragedy of these self-victimizing lunatics.

At the end of the day, this was a war waged by feminists and SJWs, they brought the fire,

but we had more fire.

Any positive message that couldve actually done some good in the world and in the game

industry, was shoved behind a mess of pathological lying, manipulation corruption, hatred, and

narcissism, this resulting in their attempts at making the game industry more inclusive

and representing women more fairly, utterly meaningless.

Gamergate was successful and the people that opposed it so fervently were exposed as the

narcissistic, hate-mongering bigots that they are.

Im going to briefly talk about some of Anitas videos, but more importantly how the greater

message behind her work is inherently flawed and inconsequential.

This brings us to one of the core reasons why the trope is so problematic and pernicious

for womens representations.

Woah woah woah, look Anita, you want me to get my fucking English teacher in here?

Because English must not have been your strong suit, if it was youd know that a trope is

a storytelling tool.

The tale of how Krystal went from protagonist of her own epic adventure to the passive victim

in someone elses game, illustrates how the damsel in distress disempowers female characters.

Alright, so does the Wimpy kid trope disempower boys?

Do you see anyone making a big fucking deal about Urkel?

Does the dumb muscle trope disempower men?

No its a type of fucking character.

So the damsel trope typically makes men the subject of narratives while relegating women

the role of object, this is a form of objectification This is a form of objectification, because

as objects, damseled women are being acted upon.

What about Zelda?

Shes a damsel in distress and even in that role shes the title of the game, not only

that, sometimes she fucks shit up!

How about Bastilla who starts off as a damsel in distress, she is labeled as a prize as

a slave, but again she fucks shit up!

And shes not a prize for just a male character, you can be a female character too!

She even becomes stronger when she turns to the dark side and is still damsel in distresss.

How about Princess Fiona?

Shes a pretty badass damsel in distress.

You see you cant just take a single trope from storytelling, and suddenly start to say,

NOW!

Its implementation in video games, is disempowering women or a specific group in the real world.

Why the fuck was it not doing that for the last 5,000 years?

Its all about how the storyteller uses this trope, not that the trope itself is the problem.

The heros fight to retrieve his stolen property then provides the lazy justification for the

actual gameplay.

You know, at least I can partially agree with Anita here, because in many cases it is lazy.

But when the demographic is primarily men, theyre going to naturally be appealed to this

trope.

Because they have that inner fantasy of rescuing a woman of being a hero themselves.

Its not about sexual objectification.

Its not about the disempowerment of women, its about overcoming a challenge, feeling

proud of that and saving someone.

So while it is a somewhat lazy and overused trope in video games, its not inherently sexist,

its all about what the storyteller or artist chooses to portray.

There is no single storytelling mechanic that is detrimental to society or disempowers people.

I appreciate the thought, effort and research that mustve gone into making these videos.

I can really appreciate that.

Games need to be fun before they can tell a good story, so I understand why games have

a lazy justification.

But this series is nothing more than an analysis of the damsel in distress trope in video games.

All these videos that took $160,000 dont mean diddly-dick if you cant prove or show some

kind of point, which was your goal.

But theres no prove that this trope is damaging, theres just hearsay.

How could you even quantify the damage this causes?

Its like that South Park episode Cartoon Wars, if you allow one group of people to dictate

what is and isnt ok to use in storytelling, in art then every other group can do the same,

until storytelling becomes a stale art restricted only by what will or wont hurt peoples feelings.

All this does is advocate for restrictive storytelling.

Try and think of the game development industry as a big club house with Boys Only written

on the front, right.

Even if its by accident nerd culture does manage to exclude women and LGBTQ+ people

in a bunch of different ways.

Were saying gaming can no longer be this little boys club anymore.

One of the biggest points people like Sarkeesian make is that gamers want to remain a boys

club.

Or that we dont to include other people with differing sexual preferences or whatever.

This is so far from the truth of what is at the core of the gaming experience.

Which is being an all-inclusive club.

For so many years, gaming was looked at as a thing for nerds, geeks.

The stereotypical 35 year old man living in his moms basement was paraded around as if

it represented all gamers.

They used to get bullied for being nerds and games like Dungeons and Dragons were a source

of refuge for these people.

They could enjoy the things they loved with other people that felt the same way, and not

worry about being discriminated or made fun of.

Not worry about their parents scolding them, or what the news media was saying.

To just have fun playing what they loved.

The idea that we dont want more women or people of color playing or making video games is

just absurd.

Thats why we like seeing hot women in video games because we wish we had girlfriends,

that played video games with us!

So no straight male gamer would EVER look at a girl that plays video games as something

bad.

I mean if I had girlfriend that played video games?

Man, fuck making out, having sex and all that gay shit lets go play Halo, dude.

Lets fuck shit up in Dark Souls, lets play a Mario Kart drinking game.

This flawed concept that gamers were harassing women because theyre sexist and dont want

them in the industry was the basis of the anti-gamergate position.

And the reason for their self-victimization.

Which is why Not Your Shield became a movement.

Anti-gamergate was using minorities and women as a shield and saying they were on the side

of those minorities.

Its the gaming community that is that has risen up because it is tired of being lied

about and slandered by its own press.

Realistically, unless youre playing Dota, League of Legends, or Call of Duty multiplayer.

Gamers dont care if youre gay, what color your skin is, or if youre a girl.

All we care about is having fun and sometimes being competitive.

RRRRRAAADODODODRAAADODODDOOOOOO!!

RAAADODODODODODO RAAADODODOOOO ROOO- EEEYYYYYYYEAAAAAAA!!!

Gaming is a medium that people of all walks of life can meet and make friends online.

People from different countries, or with disabilities, social outcasts, you know everyone can have

a home in gaming if theyre a good person at heart.

And they share their love with others.

In fact the world of games is rich and diverse and theres room for everyone!

So why give young women this discouraging message, that theyre not wanted?

So no, we dont wanna be a boys club, we want diversity, we want to meet people from different

countries, of different ethnicities.

What we dont want, is a social ideology infesting and restricting the hobby we love.

Now lets wrap this up and talk Real Shit.

Just as it was with the War Against Video Games, the idea that video games and the industry

itself is racist, sexist, homophobic, pro-genocide or whatever, has no real concrete evidence

or proof.

Its the exact same problem as before, you got these studies that say gamers become more

X after playing Y and answering the question Z.

Because correlation always proves causation, doesnt it?

Like this graph, showing per capita cheese consumtion and the number of people who died

by becoming tangled in their bedsheets.

Or this one which clearly shows that margarine consumption is directly responsible for the

divorce rate in Maine.

Because correlation always implies causation.

Simply put, there are no statistics, research, or proof that could lead one to reasonably

believe video games cause racial or sexist thoughts, and itd be an even farther stretch

to imagine any sort of trope, stereotype, or lack of diversity in a video game having

real world consequences.

Would-be game reformers need to connect the games they criticize to negative world consequences.

They need to show, not dogmatically assume that video games make people sexist.

The burden of proof rests with them.

Heck, even when Anita and John Flynt went to the UN and wrote up a report on cyberbulling

against women, the UN after publishing the article, retracted it because the evidence

presented in it was cited from bogus studies and discredited research.

So if youre good enough to get to the freaking United Nations and you still cant make a case,

Im sorry but youre shit outta luck.

And I can see the good intentions and well-meaning opinions of some of these feminists and SJWs,

and quite frankly Id like to see more diverse stories and games.

Different points of views we hardly ever see.

I think there is a genuine value in there that should be tapped by the gaming industry.

I think you can be more diverse and represent women in a way thats good, without having

to cave to all the ridiculous demands.

It all just comes back to: what do artists want to do with their work?

What do they want to achieve?

And I think its great when games put their characters in roles much different then what

were used to.

Its always nice to see something refreshing that breaks the mold.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of these sjw feminist articles and videos are just

so ideologically driven and intent on changing the gaming industry, rather than these people

being passionate game makers that want to add more of what they want to see.

They cant, and havent reached the gaming audience because of the way they articulate their points.

Its a vicious cycle of complaining about X, but not actually doing or writing anything

that would encourage people to change X, then when these peoples ideas are criticized they

hide in a shell, play victim and soak up as much sympathy as possible like a parasite.

All while hiding behind the cover of saying gamers want to be a boys club.

Its non-productive, it distracts from real issues, and aside from getting a few laughs

from these lolcows, its just a waste of time.

Im sure tackling the discrimination of gays in Russia or role of women in Saudi Arabia

is a much more important issue than what color of skin or what clothes video game characters

have.

This quest for equality and diversity wasnt a highly publicized issue until just a few

years ago.

It wasnt an issue, until it was made an issue.

Until gaming itself was attacked.

To summarize, Ill go back to that great quote from Penn.

To try to blame Shakespeare and the violence in Shakespeare and the violence in art for

violence that happens in the real world, is something that has been tried for years and

is always wrong.

It really is as simple as that.

Blaming media and art for violence, racism and sexism, has been tried for years and is

always wrong.

After GamerGate, many of these SJWs and Feminists had faded into the abyss of obscurity.

The views on Feminist Frequency were down, the PBS channel stopped uploading videos,

and though some games and developers were affected by their ideologies, I believe, video

games will revert back to being the art form they were always meant to be.

Yeah someone sent nasty words on the twitter, can we get the FBI to investiage, perhaps?

No, you know whats sexist?

You know whats a tiring plot device?

You, Anita.

Something being offensive is entirely subjective.

For example, your obsurdly thick-rimmed glaess, they offend me they offend me greatly!

Youre not actually bashing and killing and doing terrible things to women!

Its a GAAAAME!

Its a video game!

This totally proves that video games cause sexist attitudes.

Thats why there was absolutely no Sexism in the world before video games.

I don't know if it's like yeah, I don't know it's funny to me on your Facebook and irons

I don't know you know

This is like one of those arguments you have like

Like people actually do this like should I not post it on here should I just post it on there?

It's weird how this works especially when your social-Media influencer, but after media problems yeah, right, but are we getting a games boy?

Self-attachment when it is been running around shooting everything

Famous TV Families Hiding Huge Secrets - Duration: 5:29.

Reality television stars might seem to bare it all for the cameras, since complete exposure

is the very fabric of their fame.

But there are some TV families who've got some deep, dark secrets stashed up their sleeves.

Here's what you might not know about those reality stars whose family feuds made them

ratings sensations.

The Giudices

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice's secrets were far darker and deeper

than the mystery that is her amazing hairline.

She and husband Joe Giudice were accused of hiding their fortunes in a bankruptcy filing,

as well as not filing two years of taxes.

The couple initially maintained their innocence, but later changed their pleas.

However, it didn't end there: the pair allegedly kept their finances secret by leaving glaring

omissions in their probation reports, which were supposed to have complete transparency

of where and how their money was earned and allocated.

The judge presiding over their case believed that the Giudices didn't make errors on their

probation reports, but that they deliberately tried hiding money from the government, and

told them in court,

"In the eye of the law, it doesn't matter who you are.

There are consequences to pay."

Those consequences included some jail time for both Giudices.

"41 months… eh, 41 months."

They've since been doing their best to get back on their feet.

"Restitution paid off.

My house is not in foreclosure anymore, thank god, and everything is good."

The Roloffs

Jacob Roloff, the 18-year-old son of Little People, Big World stars Amy and Matt Roloff,

claims that his child stardom came at the expense of his actual childhood—and even

some of his earnings from the series.

Jacob appears to now be estranged from his family, except for his similarly camera-shy

sister Molly, and has aired his grievances on Twitter about allegedly not receiving payment

for his previous nine seasons on the show.

The Siegels

Queen of Versailles chronicled the life of billionaire couple David and Jackie Siegel.

Other than their relatively low-key reality special, the Siegels kept a pretty low profile.

Unfortunately, they were forced to come up from under the radar when their 18-year-old

daughter, Victoria Siegel, passed away from a drug overdose in June 2015.

"We really weren't aware."

"Yeah."

Sources close to the Siegels told TMZ that Victoria battled with an addiction to Xanax

but seemed to have been recovering well since going to rehab.

Page Six reports that the family nanny said Victoria had grown distant from her parents

in the days leading up to her passing, including skipping out on a family vacation.

Victoria left rehab a mere two weeks before her untimely death, leaving the family devastated.

Sources later claimed that Victoria may have suffered cyberbullying at the hands of a cruel

ex-boyfriend, leading some to believe that her overdose may not have been accidental.

The Chrisleys

Patriarch Todd Chrisley of USA Network's Chrisley Knows Best may not have known best when it

came to raising his son, Kyle.

As Kyle's legal guardian, Todd entered Kyle into a rehabilitation center for substance

abuse in January 2011.

Kyle reportedly stayed for three months, but Todd didn't pay the facilities for Kyle's

second and third months of his stay.

Todd filed for bankruptcy soon after.

In 2013, Kyle's troubles continued when he was arrested for battery of a woman in April.

He was placed on probation and after six months of good behavior, the case was dismissed.

That wasn't the end of Kyle's courtroom woes, however, because his attorney sued Todd for

unpaid fees in March, 2014.

"Did you really just do that?"

Kyle also became a father out of wedlock around January 2013, and he and ex-flame Angela Victoria

Johnson received mutual restraining orders against one another in October 2013 for undisclosed

reasons.

However, the pair appeared to have buried the hatchet at least somewhat: The Chrisleys

filed a legitimation claim to establish child support and visitation rights for Kyle and

were allowed to film with Chloe on the series.

The Eastwoods

When Clint Eastwood isn't yelling at empty chairs about foreign and domestic policies,

the screen legend is pretty scandal-free—and his family generally stayed under the radar

until 2012, when Mrs. Eastwood and Company debuted on E!.

The show focused on Eastwood's wife, Dina, and their daughters, Morgan and Francesca.

What it didn't focus on was Dina and Clint's marital woes.

People reports that the Eastwood marriage was a happy one until the show aired, at which

point the super-private Clint became uncomfortable.

What happened next could make for the weirdest episode of Wife Swap ever: Dina began leaning

on her childhood friend, Scott Fisher, when her marriage to Clint got ugly.

Then Clint became wary of Dina's interactions with Fisher…and reached out to Fisher's

wife, Erica.

"I don't think you can call it infidelity or cheating or anything like that when we're

already leaving separately, same house, but you're living separately—estranged."

Scott Fisher filed for divorce from Erica, who then began dating Clint.

When Dina heard the news of Erica and Clint's relationship, she had a breakdown and went

to rehab.

Basically, everything that would have made for amazing ratings never even made it onto

the show.

The Neiers

The pilot for E!'s Pretty Wild had already been filmed when cast member Alexis Neiers

was arrested for her role in the notorious Bling Ring, a group of burglars who allegedly

stole from the homes of Rachel Bilson, Paris Hilton, and others in 2009.

E! could easily have scrapped the series, but the network instead capitalized on the

hype and covered Neiers' trial in the series.

That wasn't the big, potentially damaging secret Neiers' family kept close to their

chests, though: it was Neiers' alleged drug addiction.

"Xanax I was maybe in seventh grade.

Eighth grade was the first time I tried cocaine."

Neiers revealed she became addicted to heroin, as well as prescription drugs, and that all

of her issues stemmed from sexual abuse she suffered as a child.

She's since gone to rehab and become a drug counselor.

the longest, wins a surprise toy.

And there is the first spin...wow, I can't wait to see whose fidget spinner spins longer.

Uh OH..

It looks like SKye's stopped spinning.

And Chase landed on Tracker!

Since Chase's spinner had a longer spin, That's one point for the boys team!

ANd now let's go to the surprise toy board to see what surprise Tracker has for us.

Are you ready tracker?

What do we have here?

Nice!

It's a Descipable Me 3 Pint Size Heroes Blind Bag.

I wonder if we'll get one of those silly minions.

Hmm, what character is this?

Oh, it's a unicorn.

I think this belongs to Agnes.

Agnes loves unicorns so much in the movie....her biggest wish is to have her own unicorn and

now she finally has one!

Unicorns can fly fly really high in the sky...so now Agnes can ride on her back to go on adventures

with Gru and the minions!

How cool is that!

OK, we're ready for our second spin.

Wow, Skye and Chase both have really good spins!

Whose spinner will go faster?

Chase's is slowing downnnn...and Skye is the winner!

She landed on Everest...Awesome spin Skye!

Both the girls team and the boys team each won a spin!

Let's go to the surprise toy board and see what surprise toy Everest has for us inside

her circle.

Wow!

It's a LOL Surprise Lil Sisters Doll!

These toys are so much fun!

THere's 5 layers of surprises that we have to unwrap.

The first surprise is a sticker with A diamond and 2 best friends...hmm, is that a clue?

This game is so exciting!

Wow...it looks like Skye is going to win again!

She did!

Great spin Skye!

And she landed on the mystery character!

That means its time to guess who it could be.

We already know the mystery character lives on an island and has a chicken named Hei Hei.

The mystery character also has a best friend named Maui.

I know you got it now!

It's Moana!

She's the perfect friend to join the girls team with Skye and Everest!

Everyone knows that Moana loves to go on brave adventures, but does she also leave really

Let's see which pony we found.

Nice!

It's Applejack.

Applejack is a yellow pony with yellow hair and her cutie mark is 3 apples.

Look how squishy she is.

These Stackems are so much fun to play with because they are even squishier and stretchier

than regular fashems.

OK, is everyone ready for our next spin.

Both of the pups are so getting so good at this game...let's see who wins.

Skye's is slowing down...but Chase is still going!

Chase wins!

Great spin CHase!

That's antoher point for the boys team!

And the wheel landed on Rubble the contruction pup!

That means we get to see what surprise this yellow pup left for us.

Nice!

Rubble left us a Paw Patrol action figure.

It's Rubble!

Rubble is wearing his yellow construction uniform here.

Ryder sends him on missions whenever something needs to be built!

When Ryder calls, Rubble hops in his construction truck and drives away to save the day!

Zbye Rubble!

This is our last spin.

Since Chase and SKye each have 2 points, whoever wins this spin, wins the game.

And there they go!

Wow, this looks likes the closest race yet.

Who is going to win.

Annnnnd….they both stopped at the same time!

Wow!

It's a tie...that means Chase and Skye's teams both won!

Good job pups!

Now We get to open up both of their surprise toys.

Let's open up Chase's toy first.

I wonder what kind of toy chase left for us.

Nice...chase gave us a Lion Guard blind bag.

Uh Oh...look who we have here.

It's Ushari!

He's a red and yellow snake from the Lion Guard.

Ushari looks a little scary, but he doesn't do mean things to the Lion Guard.

But sometimes I think he would like to chase Bunga!

Watch out Bunga!

And since Skye also won the game, we get to open Skye's also.

OK Skye, are you ready.

Awesome...it's a Shimmer and Shine teenie genie surprise bottle.

Let's see what genie we have inside.

It's Shimmer!

Nice!

I've never gotten her before in a teenie genie!

SHimmer has her bright pink hair, but she is wearing a mask over her face also.

She must be getting ready to go to a party!

A Shimmer and Shine genie party!

Have fun Shimmer!

It was so much fun playing the FIdget Spinner game with our Paw Patrol friends.

If you liked these huge fidget spinners, give me a big thumbs up and subscribe to my channel

World Cinema - Part 2: Crash Course Film History #15 - Duration: 9:55.

Films can be a lot of things: A form of mass communication; a means of personal expression;

or a business, big or small… depending on how many superheroes you cram into one movie.

But films can also create, clarify, or reinforce a national identity.

In many places outside of the United States and Europe, cinema arrived relatively late,

and often at a time of political upheaval.

Filmmakers used their movies to tell their own stories and establish new, collective identities.

Although the industries of Africa, South America, and the Middle East relatively small,

these films and filmmakers are vitally important both to local audiences

and to the diversity of world cinema.

[Opening Music Plays]

African cinema is generally divided between

North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.

The biggest film producer in North Africa is Egypt, and Egyptian cinema has dominated

the Arab world for decades.

Egyptian cinema's "golden age" ran from the 1940s to the 1960s.

In this era, the studios produced Hollywood-style genre movies and prestige dramas.

In 1952, the Egyptian monarchy was overthrown, and a new military regime was ushered in by

a charismatic leader, Gamal Abdel Nasser.

Nasser's government nationalized the film industry in 1966 and began exercising significant

control over what movies got made.

Many filmmakers felt stifled, unable to produce films even vaguely critical of the current regime.

But Egyptian filmmakers still found ways to produce classics at the time, from Al Haram

by Henry Barakat to Shadi Abdel Salam's The Night of Counting the Years.

In the 1970s, Egyptian cinema began to find a balance between politics and entertainment.

And during this time, their first internationally-recognized director emerged.

Youssef Chahine was born in 1926.

After college, he convinced his parents to send him to Hollywood to study acting.

He then returned to Egypt and directed his first feature film at just 23, a movie called

Daddy Amin... who said actors can't direct?

His second film, Nile Boy, was invited to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

And his third, The Blazing Sun, introduced the world to Omar Sharif, an actor who would

go on to international stardom in English language films like Lawrence of Arabia and

Doctor Zhivago.

But Chahine's major achievement was an autobiographical trilogy, made between 1978 and 1990,

which traced the social history of modern Egypt.

In the 1980s, as government censors relaxed a bit, several women directors graduated from

the Egyptian Film Institute and began making movies with explicitly feminist themes.

This marked a new and vital phase of Egyptian production, as Asmaa El-Bakry directed

1991's Beggars and Proud Ones and Inas Al-Degheidy

released Lady Killers the following year.

The Gulf War in 1991 and the emergence of satellite television brought the Egyptian

film industry to a near-standstill.

But by the mid-2000s, domestic production had rebounded and continues to thrive to this day.

Algeria is home to another significant North African film industry.

After a vicious war and winning their independence from France in 1962, Algerian movies were

mostly what they called "freedom-fighter cinema."

These were films about the struggle to escape colonial rule.

It wasn't until the 1970s, however, that an Algerian film broke out onto the world stage.

Mohammed Lakdar-Hamima's Chronicle of the Years of Fire depicted one family's epic

journey through the end of the colonial period.

The film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 1975.

Beginning in 1992, a militant Islamic insurgency took root in Algeria, and the ensuing violence

has forced most Algerian filmmakers to live and work abroad.

Many contemporary films focus on characters that have left Algeria and struggle with their

identities as expatriates.

Rachid Bouchareb's 2010 film Outside the Law, for instance, deals

with three Algerian brothers living in France between 1945 and 1962, during the Algerian

war for independence.

Now, one notable film-producing country in sub-Saharan Africa is Senegal, another former

French colony.

And the undisputed father of Senegalese film is Ousmane Sembène.

A veteran of World War II, Sembène moved

to France in 1947 and experienced racism while working in a car factory and at the shipping

port of Marseille. He turned these experiences into his first

French-language novel, The Black Docker, in 1956.

And he would return time and again to themes of isolation, persecution, and loss of identity

in his films.

After studying filmmaking in the Soviet Union, Sembène returned to Senegal to make a twenty-minute

short called Borom Sarret in 1963, commonly considered the first indigenous black African film.

Sembène's next film, Black Girl, stands as one of the first anti-colonial films to

come out of Africa and gain international recognition.

The story follows a young Senegalese woman working as a nanny for a French family in

the capital city of Dakar.

After accepting an offer to return to France with them, she finds herself disrespected

and abused, surrounded by a culture that refuses to accept her.

And at the end of the film, her story ends in tragedy.

Sembène would go on to make films right up to his death in 2007, wrestling with complex

issues of identity and culture in colonial and post-colonial Africa.

Other African countries have their own vibrant filmmaking traditions.

Angola established a film school in 1977, two years after it won independence from Portugal.

The country of Burkina Faso is home to the Pan-African Festival of Cinema and Television,

the largest African film event in the world.

And Nigeria has a vital film culture with its own star system, making it the third most

valuable film industry in the world.

Now, another region that boasts a long history of post-colonial and indigenous cinema is

Latin America.

Although many Latin American film industries have been dominated by films from the United

States, Cuba and Brazil have maintained some autonomy.

Cuba produced about 150 feature films prior to the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

But almost immediately after Fidel Castro took over, the film industry became an arm

of his government.

He founded a national film institute and commissioned films through the National Board of Culture.

Like many leaders before him, Castro understood the power cinema had to influence masses of

people, many of whom were poor and illiterate.

Most established filmmakers fled or were pushed out, so the revolutionary era of Cuban cinema

began with a handful of people with little filmmaking experience and some old equipment.

Over the next two decades, they would produce over 100 feature films, 900 documentary shorts,

and 1,300 weekly newsreels. That's a lot of content!

By the 1970s, Cuban cinema's infrastructure of domestic production and distribution were

in place, and the films got more sophisticated.

Genres and styles multiplied, encompassing everything from Sergio Giral's experimental Marxist work The Other Francisco,

to Sara Gómez's One Way or Another, a fusion of Hollywood style and avant-garde social critique.

But the 1990s hit Cuban cinema hard.

With the fall of communism in Europe, Castro's government had few allies besides China and

North Korea.

Movie production fell off a cliff, dropping from about 10 feature films per year to just

two or three.

And political repression got worse, so many filmmakers left the country to live in exile

throughout Latin America.

Eventually, a combination of factors led to a resurgence of film production in Cuba: like

digital technology making production less expensive, coupled with relaxing tensions

with the United States.

Now, the other major Latin American film industry hails from Brazil.

In 1924, the majority of films screened in Brazil came from Hollywood, like the rest

of Latin America.

President Getùlio Vargas tried to end the dominance of Hollywood cinema by establishing

quotas for local film production in 1932, which continued into the 1950s.

But that didn't do much.

The highly charged political atmosphere of the 1960s was the real catalyst for change.

Inspired by the aesthetic of the Italian Neo-Realists and the low-budget filmmaking techniques of

the French New Wave, a group of Brazilian filmmakers created cinema novo or new cinema.

The cinema novo directors made films that deliberately subverted the norms of classical

narrative cinema, in direct response to what they saw as the colonization of Brazilian

cinema by Hollywood.

The group's unofficial leader, Glauber Rocha, made Black God, White Devil in 1964.

It's about a poor ranch hand who's cheated out of his wages, kills his boss, and goes

on the run with his wife and a violent, apocalyptic preacher.

There's a fearlessness to the film, and a rejection of a traditional moral code.

Nelson Pereira dos Santos made Barren Lives in 1963, another

key film in the early cinema novo movement, and one invited to the Cannes Film Festival.

His film tells the story of an impoverished family trying to survive in Brazil's drought-ridden

northeastern plain.

This focus on low-budget productions that examine the socio-political landscape caught

on in other Latin American countries.

Indigenous filmmakers found inspiration to tell their stories without relying on traditional

film studios or government assistance.

And while their films might not screen much internationally, filmmakers from Argentina

and Chile to Colombia and Peru have used this model to forge their own cinematic identities.

Now, one of the major players in Middle Eastern cinema is Iran, whose domestic market

was also dominated by U.S. movies for years, until the Iranian Revolution in 1979.

The first Iranian-produced film to break out internationally was Dariush Mehrjui's

1969 film The Cow, telling the story of a rural villager whose prized cow dies.

Mehrjui's film was banned by the pre-revolutionary Iranian government.

They wanted films that would project a modern image to the rest of the world, not ones that

examined the day-to-day life of the downtrodden.

Nevertheless, The Cow went on to win top prizes at the Chicago and Venice Film Festivals and

set the template for the Iranian New Wave.

Much like the French New Wave and Brazil's cinema novo, the Iranian New Wave produced

films that explored the lives of ordinary people, especially those facing hardship and persecution.

After the Revolution, the government of Ayatollah Khomeini

exercised strict theocratic censorship over Iranian film, decimating production and prompting

many established filmmakers to flee the country.

The Iranian film industry finally began to recover in the 1990s, as filmmakers fell into

two main camps: the "populist cinema" that made commercial entertainment; and the

"art cinema" that produced more personal, esoteric films.

One of the major figures of recent Iranian cinema is Abbas Kiarostami, whose film A Taste

of Cherry won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997.

Mohsen Makhmalbaf's 2001 film Kandahar made a Time magazine list of

the top 100 movies of all time.

And Asghar Farhadi has won two Best Foreign Language Oscars for his

elliptical domestic mysteries: A Separation from 2011, and The Salesman from 2016.

So although post-Revolution Iranian cinema took a while to achieve serious global recognition,

it has since emerged as a narrative and stylistic innovator on the world cinema stage, influencing

filmmakers and inspiring filmgoers around the globe.

Today we explored more world cinema, beginning with the post-colonial cinema of Africa.

We talked about the development of Latin American cinema through the lens of Cuba and Brazil.

And we touched on the vital filmmaking tradition of Iran established during the last 25 years.

Next time, we'll jump into the strange and exciting world of experimental and documentary filmmaking.

It's gonna get weird... and real!

Hotel Los Caneyes Santa Clara Cuba Fun Day | Subtitled Subtitulado - Duration: 7:50.

Okay So we are here.

At Los Caneyes.

Which is like a pool place where people come to relax.

Only costs about 10 bucks.

Really on about 2 bucks because you can actually use the other 8 to actually buy whatever you want.

But, I'm just here having some fun.

Looking at the sculptures; all the sculptures they got.

So we're going to go around and take a look.

And, check out this place.

I really like this sculpture right here.

Like this one helping her mother.

The mother helping the child, fish or something.

Is pretty nice.

And you can see the guy over there fishing.

We're kind of situated slightly further away from the pool area right now.

Where all the people are at.

Next to the restaurant.

See if we can see these birds.

Parrots, pretty nice tropical parrots.

Very pretty.

I like this sculpture here.

There's a lot of people here that have this talent for making sculptures.

I think is probably one of the best ways to make a living here.

Building things like these which people come here and buy as souvenirs.

Is very lifelike, at least in it's size.

Towards this area we got the store, where people go and buy things.

This looks to be like a muse.

Or a woman, I don't know.

Holding something, kind of looks like a mermaid somehow for some reason.

Probably because the bottom is kind of like sculptured weirdly.

Like the legs area just kind of phase out.

Bathing area; rinsing off the pool water.

What I like the most about this place, is that it's slightly situated further away from the city.

But, is not too far out. Is probably only about a couple miles.

So you kind of feel like, you're in your own little world; but you're not that far from the main city.

Let's walk around some more.

Like half of the people that visit here I think they're like tourists.

Like the other half here are people visiting the country or people that just got some money

and want to spend a day out by the pool.

Like me, like myself.

Myself included.

We got some more birds here.

But it's super hot, like always.

Specially right now in the middle of summer.

I'm so tired.

And we got the map here.

The guide for where everything is at.

Right here.

And, I think there's a sculpture of a crocodile, somewhere around that's pretty cool.

So let's go check it out.

There it is.

There it is.

Is a big sculpture of a crocodile sitting on top of.

On top of, a rock. Spilling water.

Out of it's mouth.

And as you guys can see, this place is pretty big.

It has all these cabins that kind of look like mini huts.

This place is called Los Caneyes, and it's based of a tribe of like native people or something.

So, like a lot of the structures they got kind of like an Indian or tribe looking feel for them.

So is pretty nice.

They're fully furnished with air conditioning units and they got like flat screen TVs and what not.

So they got all the amenities, anything you could really want for staying in a room.

So, at least there's not a lack of that.

But, I think am nearing the time where I actually want to go ahead and jump in the pool.

So I am probably, going to do that.

There's no water running through here right now.

Bone dry.

Dry as a bone.

A dry bone And, look. Over here we got the bunnies.

Love these guys.

Look at that.

There's another one down here.

And another one over here.

Chilling, relaxing.

Alright, so.

We are going to head back next to the pool right now.

I'm getting kind of tired.

My arm is getting tired.

What Is a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)? - ASK AN HLG ATTORNEY - Ep. 18 - Duration: 0:59.

A traumatic brain injury is an injury to the brain.

There are three essential levels of how they're diagnosed:

it's mild, moderate, and severe.

A mild traumatic brain injury is most likely known as a concussion.

Moderate and severe are typically only diagnosed by the specialists,

a neurologist or what is called a neuropsychologist,

and they base that on the symptoms you're having

and the severity of the symptoms.

You could have memory loss, headaches,

loss of function, dizziness,

inability to find words -

and depending on the severity of those symptoms

is how the doctors not only will diagnose you,

but will ultimately treat you.

So if you're having those symptoms,

whether it's the first day after an accident

or ten days after an accident,

you need to follow up with your doctor

and hopefully see a specialist

to determine what the next steps are for you.
