Accounting for Beginners #51 / Payroll / Employees Net Pay / Where do the Taxes Go? / Accounting 101 - Duration: 13:58.
yo yo yo what's happening everybody welcome back once again I know that was
a little presumptuous but I am CPA strength I am the strongest licensed CPA
in the state of Florida and what do you do I teach the world accounting by the
basics building block by building blocks by building blocks now before we get
into this special episode of the classic series episode 51 accounting for
beginners number 51 and beat over 51 we all talk about payroll
what about payroll for this one and maybe next couple couple videos we're
gonna do payroll we're gonna switch gears with we'll switch up the gears
we're just going to go payroll the 50 is going to be payroll anyway look up here
this is the best the best barn on playlist in the world it happens to be
an accounting playlist and they'll make all your dreams come true whatever they
are so just hit play right here thank you very much I was thinking now what
can I do now what account after the big 50 the big 50 celebration right now what
do I do now I was trying to I want to get 50 well and I'll go I'll go to peril
I haven't touched on payroll I know I have got a couple questions if I could
touch on payroll some put some payroll caveats this one is do this one is a
weekly paycheck weekly paycheck weekly employee paycheck there sorry jump cut
back here boy for you or any of these accounting
problems and I do think you have to put a hat on you know put your hat on
meaning like are you the employer or the employee are you both
and then on this and these circumstances and you're the employee put your
employee hat on so I wanted to start with this one for payroll because I
think a lot of people have gotten a paycheck before with taxes taken out and
that would be payroll now a lot of people I understand oh I ran payroll
well they just they just wrote a check from their business account to
themselves so it's not payroll that's a what is that you know was it drop it to
drop that's our seller distribution it's not
payroll it's not payroll in my opinion unless you have taxes taken out so I
don't want to make this one too long or too dicey or too much Oh another caveat
I did want to make about the payroll is that well I've gotten paychecks before
huh Java had for a few years worked under a CPA actually did payroll
manually like you know I did the payroll and I did that for a year and so I know
I know what payrolls about for companies I did it for probably I think six or
seven companies I used to cut checks every week for some people yeah I wasn't
real free ice that was stack of checks like 80 checks that come up to like
$30,000 I'd like smell the checks and stuff I just print them on my printer of
QuickBooks but and now when I started my business two years ago that was some of
my very first clients I do their payroll for them and so this is also this is
like a the payroll I think is like a real life you know I teach the basics
but these payrolls are going to be real life whether you have a payroll question
in one of your classes this you know that's good you will have some of those
but I think this is more for real life but anyways
if you know payroll and it doesn't change which is good
like someone says I'm paying someone so $400 this weekend payroll great great I
can do that like you go do your things and that's fine then you know conversely
non-payroll you have a person that says oh oh I didn't know I have to make more
expenses what no that's no a it's always like an argument of it's an expense for
the business or not you know anyways let's get going on this
one I was trying to I was trying to tell you that if you can keep your master the
payroll you can do you can you can you know get some clientele when you don't
have that much experience because you don't need much experience to the
payroll I think you just have to be very precise and no one want no one wants to
learn this that they own their own business so it's a good that's a great
skill to have in my opinion currently I kind of I have about I think now I have
eight eight eight clients I do payroll for varying degrees at mostly weeklies
and I run through a company called gusto so I pay gusto a little cut and they do
all I just tell them I'll run run this amount run this amount so they get a
little cut of it and then the client gives me no more than I give those don't
I make some money for running payroll which is basically the start of this now
this is good I talk so much I'm sorry this is that five minutes now people
that were just going to start talking payroll all right
let's go let's go let's get this in monster I better ourselves let's do this
let's better ourselves come on good juice you over here let's go let's go
okay 51 here we're doing payroll we're doing a weekly paycheck where we're in
our employee hats or an employee where we're just a regular Joe regular Jane
Main Street Joe Mainstreet Jane get enough working hard putting in 40 hours
a week at $10 an hour I think that's one 2017
yeah I guess you know that's a job so so then what are you doing what happens
with that think would be don't be like would command sake with me you know what
happens when you get that gear for C your check for $4 - no I wish with taxes
taken out how does that work because for 40 hours time times $10 dollars $400
you're going to have $400 that's going to be your gross wages and
clubs like this these gross wages is what's reported on your tax return yeah
not you're not your net pay down here we'll get to that when you run payrolls
every time they're going to they're going to take out 6.2 percent of the
$400 6.2 percent of $4 for Social Security all right out of every photo
every paycheck so that's here we and you guys have gotten paychecks before right
somebody's paid taxes in this world so if it's a that comes out of the $4 also
coming out of the four more dollars is one point four five percent of Medicare
tax that comes out to 5.8 5.8 dollars all right now these are l these two are
set a Social Security Medicare six point two plus one point four five is let's
see is seven point six five percent of your money's coming out in taxes that's
off the rim there are some limitations but for our purpose here that's out rip
okay every for every week you you were four dollars they're taking out this is
like third $30 taking $30 out of your $400 off rip you're not getting that
back you're not getting a refund off that when you turn 65 or whatever you
show you get that later so they're taking that up rip okay so I want I
wanted to turn the I need there to be a distinction between two this is half
this is happening around every this is payroll this is happening every time you
run a paid a paycheck with the federal government here in the u.s. we're trying
to arrest let's go I just put I just took this at random this this does not
have to be the federal holdings of 44.4 I just plugged I put the number in to
make a nice net pay this you have this could be zero you could pay more we will
get into what happens to this at the end of the year but this is a this this
dependent like in the United States you fill out w-4 form when you are hired a
job and they ask you Oh like how many exemptions do you want are you married
because they're trying to figure out their what they're trying to do with
those questions is they're trying to figure out how much to take out of your
federal holding so you'll though so so they'll take out a little bit too much
and you'll get a refund at the end of the year and you don't think that's
great when it's just your money but this is a paycheck this is a payroll
you start out with gross $400 - Social Security of 24.80 - number $400 1.45 of
Medicare tax nowThis is 7.65 that's seven forever every single dollar you
you make all right there take the government taking seven cents out of
that all right $300 you every $1 in tripperz you make we're taking seven
seven dollars and sixty-five cents out of your pay guide of your paid $100
seven dollars and sixty-five cents on one dollars okay and and it's been
determined or you want to or you I've done it they they take out forty four
dollars and forty cents a week of federal withholdings and this gets added
up every every week so at the end of the year at times 52 if you make if you put
$44.40 in every week for federal Holdings this accumulates on your tax
return through the year your personal tax return your 1040 leaving you with
three twenty-five see how it was four hundred this is what you have to tell
the iron the year you made four hundred well you really only took home 325 and
you get a chance to get 40 of that back and 30m is gone
thanks for playing anyway this is net pen is 325 look the 400 is gross wages
okay the 325 is a net pay net peg or or you could call the 325 your take-home
pay or you could call the 325 here tripperz and get your chippers up okay
or you could call the 325 your chip what's a check out right or you can call
your 325 a direct deposit I don't even and what happened to that
$75 is my employer keeping that does he is to keep that I don't know what do you
think happens to the see that's how much you make I tell what you're reporting to
make you have to report you make this you know you just work you just work for
your boss some dude some dudes your boss and then he says I'll pay 10 bucks an
hour you say great 400 then he gives you a check at the end of the week for $325
you like we're said 75 chief is it all taxes you're like okay so okay until
next time man this one's fun right $75 what happened to $75 did your boss keep
it as your bus is your bus getting some margaritas with his girlfriend as you
get a little Applebee's two for 20 like three days that week anyways my shits

How fentanyl is making the opioid epidemic even worse - Duration: 5:22.
This dot represents ten people
and this dot represents one hundred people.
In 2015, this many died from gun violence in America,
this many died in car crashes,
but even more Americans died from a drug overdose.
52,000 people.
That's more people
than there are seats at Yankee Stadium.
More people are dying because of the opioid epidemic:
a public health crisis that is causing
waves of progressive drug use.
First, Americans got hooked on prescription painkillers.
Next, addicted users moved on
to more potent drugs, like heroin.
Now, an increasing number of Americans
are overdosing on an even more powerful opioid:
"Fentanyl is taking the opioid epidemic to a new level..."
"...fentanyl..."
"...more potent than heroin..."
"Another drug is surging..."
"Fentanyl. So potent you could die
with the syringe still in your arm."
The explanation for the rise of fentanyl
begins in the late 1990s...
"Since I've been on this new pain medication,
I have not missed one day of work
and my boss really appreciates that.
'Lauren is there every day'."
That's when pharmaceutical companies began
advertising new opioids
that were supposedly non-addictive.
"...but these are the same drugs that have a reputation
for causing addiction and other terrible things.
They do not have serious medical side effects,
and so these drugs,
which I repeat: are our best, strongest pain medications,
should be used much more
than they are for patients in pain."
American doctors started prescribing opioids,
like OxyContin, Percocet, and Vicodin,
at record numbers and overdoses began spiking.
In the 2000s, the government took steps
to limit the supply of prescription pills.
Pharmaceutical manufacturers were sued
for falsely marketing their products as non-addictive,
doctors were prosecuted for overprescribing pain pills,
and authorities tightened limits on painkillers.
By 2013, prescription drug abuse leveled off
as pills became harder to find,
but that didn't help Americans
who were already hooked.
When addicts couldn't get pills,
they found more dangerous drugs.
Many started using heroin,
an extremely potent opioid that is
made from the sap of the opium poppy.
It's this transition that has led
the opioid crisis to epidemic proportions.
The Center for Disease Control found that
people addicted to prescription painkillers are
40 times more likely to be addicted to heroin.
Heroin is more potent than prescription pain pills
and therefore more lethal.
Soon, heroin overdoses began skyrocketing
and as usage became widespread,
users with a high tolerance for heroin
began seeking even stronger opioids.
And that's part of what led to fentanyl:
a synthetic opioid that is more powerful
and cheaper to make than heroin.
Unlike heroin, fentanyl can easily be made in a lab.
It was first developed as
an anesthetic for surgeries in the 1960s
and later found use as
a treatment for chronic pain in the 1990s.
Since then, it continues to be approved
for restricted medical use and is
prescribed for advanced cancer patients.
In regulated medical settings,
fentanyl is often delivered by injection,
or as a patch or lozenge:
forms which allow the drug to be dispensed gradually.
Similar to other opioids like morphine and heroin,
fentanyl sedates the user by reacting
with receptors in the brain to release dopamine.
But fentanyl is about 100 times
more potent than morphine.
Drug traffickers have been using it to cut heroin
to increase the potency and profits from their product.
So heroin addicts can consume fentanyl unknowingly,
which increases the chances of an accidental overdose.
Exposure to the drug is so dangerous that
The CDC requires first responders to wear
protective gear when fentanyl is suspected at a scene.
"It's a scary situation...."
In Ohio, an unprotected police officer
accidentally overdosed after particles of fentanyl
settled on his clothing during a traffic stop.
"That he would just accidentally bump up against
something while he was searching this vehicle,
and for him to drop out like that...It's shocking."
Three years after heroin deaths began to spike,
fentanyl overdoses began rising.
Already, new opioids are fulfilling
the next iteration of this progression.
Carfentanil, an opioid used as an elephant tranquilizer,
is a growing cause of overdoses in The United States.
This photo compares a potentially lethal dose
of all three drugs, showing that it could take
just a few grains of carfentail to kill someone.
The fact that cracking down on prescription painkillers
has pushed users to even more dangerous opioids
demonstrates the need for better drug policies.
In addition to targeting the supply of drugs,
providing better treatment options for addiction
will reduce the demand for them.
In 2016, preliminary estimates of
Americans that died by drug overdose
are as high as 65,000 people.
Experts estimate 2017 will be even worse.
As long as people are addicted,
they're going to find ways to satisfy that addiction
even if it means using more dangerous drugs,
like fentanyl.

Why Should You Use Open Source Libraries In Your Project? - Duration: 4:11.
Hi there!
Welcome back to Cleveroad channel.
Today we would like to pay our attention to open source libraries for software development.
What advantages does it have and why can you use?
Let's find out it.
Open source software is literally conquering the world, affecting all aspects of information
technologies.
During the last 5 years, the utilization of the open source software has doubled and became
a global trend.
Today open code can be the basis for some operating systems, applications, libraries,
databases, cloud computing, big data etc.
In the modern world of the information technologies, open source products offer great possibilities
for both the companies and app developers.
We need to understand the meaning of open source software.
Broadly speaking, software falls into two main categories regarding the terms of the
license used: proprietary and open source software.
The fundamental difference between these two categories stems from the availability or
non-availability of the right to change the source code.
The source code of the closed software cannot be copied, viewed or changed.
Being a property of developers, it is kept in secret.
Windows, Mac, Microsoft Office, Skype, iTunes, Google Earth, WinRAR, Adobe products can be
determined as widely used proprietary software.
Licenses of free and open software grant access to the source code to anyone who wants to
read it, improve, and discuss with others.
Such licenses facilitate the development of cooperation and free ideas exchange.
Furthermore, they allow to share the necessary information with other people and unite efforts
for increasing the opportunities.
Linux kernel, GNOME Desktop etc serve as exam ples of open source software.
Open software provides everybody with the following capabilities:
It allows adapting of software product to the needs of a specific user or a user group;
To eliminate the errors of previous developers; To modify and refine the software.
Open code draws intelligent brains in the technical sector.
Whereas closed source software is developed by a small group of specialists, open source
software can be built by thousands of skilled and motivated app and web developers.
In general, OSS is considered to provide a high level of security.
It directly relates to the availability of the source code.
Thus, open source development libraries can be always under the close monitoring.
As errors and vulnerabilities are usually eliminated by the developer community almost
immediately, it determines a good quality of the product.
If you want to know more about mobile security, check ii out in our following video.
See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfdsesNiaFM Unlike closed libraries, OS library allows
you to adapt code more easily to your specific requirements and needs.
Since source code is open for all persons interested, companies can use all available
functionality of the library for free and add new functions to your software development
projects.
One more reason to use open source software is their flexibility.
This code is not linked to the one specific developer, so it can offer a wide range of
capabilities.
Users can choose only those functions that meet their requirements or to create the new
function just changing the source code since open source software license makes such actions
possible.
OSS stimulates the cooperation development and building of the community of professionals
keen on technologies.
Developers share their experience and learn from each other.
As to companies, they benefit from the increased attention paid to their products and even
can provide list of open source software. They also strive to make these products better, more reliable
and modern.
There are weighty benefits of using open source software and libraries in your projects.

FLYING TOY-BALL | Testing | CHINAPROM - Duration: 12:05.
Hello everybody!
You are once again on the channel "CHINA PROM ".
Now we will prove that toy.
I loaded it up a bit.
Because the charge with she came
clearly insufficient.
As mentioned in the review, This toy must be charged
20 - 30 minutes and work 8 - 10 minutes.
it should also soar on hand.
Now we are testing this toy and see
Is it really.
So.
I let go of her.
Well, we can say that it is soars.
Hovering over his hand.
You, probably, so will visible.
She tries to fly away.
All the time flies away to the side.
So I can not show you, as it flies over the hand.
In this toy is not very good management.
Here again, it claimed.
The test is ended accident.
In fact it is nothing did not happen.
It is worth protecting.
If the toy is facing with some hard object,
a wall or something else, it just shuts down and falls.
It falls, but remains intact.
Because she has strong details.
And they did so in any position to wriggle
and do not break.
Toy simply ceases spin, but it continues to glow.
To restart it must be turned off.
And on again.
Everything is fine.
Working.
You can continue to play.
She always tries fly off to the side.
But it is said, the battery has become discharged.
Toy begins to "weaken" and it has not pulled out of his hands.
I must say that if it to charge to full capacity,
it just takes off the ceiling and spins it
as long as the charge does not reduced to such an extent
that she fell.
Now she is running out and it will not fly away from his hands.
Quite an interesting toy.
Every child will be thrilled.
But there is a limit on the age.
Still, young children do not give it in your hands.
These blades are spinning very fast and they're pretty sharp.
If it is included on a try to stop the speed,
something happens tangible hit.
The child can be very painfully.
Even adult patients, a small child can
and more frightened.
This toy is more suited for ages 7 to 10 years.
For example, my son was in delighted with this toy.
It was very interesting.
Let's take another look, how it works in the dark.
It looks pretty interesting.
I knowingly chose glowing ball, because in the dark
it creates light effects.
But this requires darkness.
I think that now, in the afternoon, only a dark place - a bathroom.
Therefore, we will move Now go and test
toy even in the dark.
Here's how it looks.
I do not let go of it, but we can see, she shines colored lights.
It is beautiful.
If the toy run at night and in the large room,
it will look very beautiful.
Now I'll let her.
Here she began to fly over hand.
Again, it happened to fall.
I think that the idea that is in the dark
looks nice, you got it.
Indeed, if the run her in the dark, it looks attractive.
Here it works again.
Bathrooms were too narrow for To toy here
run, but in the big a large dark room
it would look nice.
You looked test this toy:
luminous ball flying.
Interesting toy.
It looks nice, if run it at night.
There are, of course, disadvantages.
This age restriction.
For a small child it's pretty traumatic toy.
By cons include and poor control toys.
Although, maybe it got to me such an instance?
Maybe sensors problems maybe it should be?
I dont know.
But on a full charge toy It works very powerfully.
It just soars to the ceiling and turns it until the charge
It will not fall to a level so that she could fly over the palm.
And even on the palm of her need "catch".
Although the description to this toy and says that she
constantly trying to "go away" from objects and it must be
somehow hold.
This is the whole point this toy is that it should be
hold of the hand over surface.
Perhaps one more note minus.
This is the sound.
The sound is pretty bad.
As in the dental office when drilled tooth.
Although, when it plays, then the sound you do not pay attention.
If you just turn the sound unpleasant.
Let's hear it again.
Pretty powerful sound We have to shout.
But again, when I was her experienced. that the sound is not
I paid no attention.
It was fun to play it and so the sound you do not pay
any attention.
This disadvantage, which is not particularly noticeable.
What can be added from the pros?
Beautiful.
Sturdy (though fragile by the look).
This is evident from the fact that it has withstood the shipment,
although the ball well crushed and could break it.
It is worth noting the rapid charging time.
Just 20 - 30 minutes before full charge.
And the good news is that when you plugging in to charge, something inside
lights up red light and it can be seen if the flame goes out,
means a toy charged and you can use it.
But insert the charging plug We need extremely deep.
Because for the first time I stuck the charging is not deep.
I thought she was being charged (Although the red light inside the
not burned), and she is not actually charged.
Therefore, the charging plug you need a good paste.
It is long and should include completely.
There is another plus.
When the toy is fully charged, you can use it as a fan.
If you need to cool down, you can use
it as a fan.
As a fan with a very powerful and unpleasant sound.
Here, in principle, and all that can we say about this toy.
If you liked this toy you can buy
themselves or their children.
It seems to me that this is a "Gift" option.
When can someone buy as a present.
