If someone were to tell you that 400 years ago

he was a Jew

and today he wants to return to be a Jew Is he a Jew?

If he was a Jew, then of course he is a Jew

How Important is Sleep for my Child? - Bellamy's Organic Pearls of Wisdom - Duration: 2:11.

So sleep is so crucial for little beings

that are busy growing at a rapid pace.

Sleep assists brain development and processing,

physical growth, restoring energy,

and achieving children's emotional balance.

Well, the number one topic when parents get together

with newborns is that of sleep

so that's something I certainly found in my early days

of parenthood.

There are some babies that find sleep easier than others.

If you want to go by some guidelines there are the rough

guides of the amount of hours to achieve

in a 24 hour period of time.

For example for babies in the first two months,

14 to 18 hours.

By 12 months of age approximately 12 to 14 hours of sleep

and as they enter childhood years more, 1 to 3 is

about 12 hours and by 5 years of age

approximately 11 hours of sleep.

The important message here is not to put pressure

on yourself, and that's something I've certainly learned

as a parent of children.

So naps are crucial to also consider in the mix

when it comes to achieving good quality sleep

for your child.

Some children start to drop these naps even at 2 years

of age or they may fight these naps, it's always unclear

if they really need it or not.

Other children may need these naps quite desperately

until they're 4 years of age so each child

is different and each day can be different as well.

So paying attention to the tired signs can be really helpful

for example do they get grouchy after lunchtime

and perhaps some quiet rest time on their bed

reading some books is all they need.

Well communication actually starts

from their early newborn days and their ability

to understand communication and speech occurs a lot sooner

than we expect as parents.

So speech has been linked to so many areas

including social, behavioural, and learning outcomes

and parents are such a wonderful resource to their child.

They can have so much input.

So talking as much as possible to their child,

describing what you're doing as you buy groceries,

singing songs and narrating their play,

the list could go on.

Also being responsive to your baby's communication

from the early months and as they're cooing and babbling

responding back with that,

you see them delight and chuckle in that as well,

beautiful moments.

Also building sentences, for example,

your toddler puts his hands up and goes hold

and you can help form a sentence,

so you would like me to hold you for example.

Reading has also been awesome when it comes

to speech development for a child.

So author Mem Fox highlights this as well

where she suggests a 1,000 books read by five years of age.

A common question posed by many parents is

where is my child at with their speech development.

It's a big hot topic.

There are approximate guidelines out there that suggest

the milestones that they should be achieving

at a certain point, however these are approximate

and just a rule of thumb.

For example, in the first 12 months

you're aiming for babies to be cooing, babbling,

and non-verbal gesturing.

By age one, single word attempts like mama, dada, ta, etc.

By age two, you notice a huge leap in speech development

and it's occurring at such a rapid pace

so two words start to be put together

such as mama hold, however they also become the expert of no

that's for sure.

And by three and four years, they're starting

to label those things and their sentences can blow you away

in how sophisticated they become,

the grammar and pronouns they start to use.

And by preschool age, you're really starting to hear

some quite lengthy conversations, telling stories

and really hearing their imagination.

And I have the great pleasure of introducing you to our flagship the Insignia Grand Sport

So back in 2013 at the frankfurt motor show. I had the great pleasure of unveiling the Monza concept
