CGM Anecdotes - Back to the Future Part 2 (Jaws 19) - Duration: 2:39.

"Back to the Future Part II" is an American movie made by Robert Zemeckis

Released November the 20th 1989 in the USA

And December the 20th, same year, in France

It's part of the eponymous trilogy produced by Steven Spielberg

Spreading from 1985 to 1990

And has been pop culture relevant for more than 30 years

But what we're interested in here are the second film's effects

Particularly the use of CGI in that one

So, we were in 1989…

And everything was mostly done optically at that time

For instance, the compositing of actor Michael J. Fox

Who is playing three different roles in that scene

Using a computer-controlled camera rig called Vistaglide

So what's CG in the film?

The flying cars?

Nope, they're miniatures with intelligent compositing throughout the film

Like here, with this lamppost pole, used as an invisible transition

The Café 80's stars, on the TV screens?

Nope, some good ol' fashion makeup with jerky image treatment

Created as an homage to Max Headroom, a quite popular 80's character

Oh by the way…

When Marty McFly Jr is choosing what to watch on the TV

One of the channels is displaying the beautiful "Brilliance" commercial

Created by Robert Abel & Associates in 1985

But I digress!

There's in fact only one 3D CG element in "Back to the Future Part II"

And it's of course Bruce the Shark's hologram from "Jaws 19"

Created by Industrial Light & Magic

Or, to be fair, it's tiny CG department

Composed of six people only

Including a certain Jonathan Luskin, who's gonna tell us more on the matter:

Voilà! You've watched the very first CGM Anecdotes!

It's a new short format, running along CGM

My show about the origins of Computer Graphics in Movies

And I hope you very much liked it!

If so, please don't forget to share, comment below and subscribe

Or perhaps give me a tip on Tipeee.com/gorkab?

Thank you all and see you soon!

PEPPERPOT ANNUAL 2018 - Duration: 4:52.

Huh? Who are you?

Come on, you know who I am, don't play the fool with me.

NO, I DON'T KNOW!

Of course you do!

You, you know me, huh?

-You don't remember. -*grumbles*

Well, you know me, that's a fact.

-But I'll tell you who I am, look at me, look, look! I am... I am the... -Oh!

Hi, everyone! That's it, the Pepperpot Annual 2018 is launched!

We are delighted to do a new Annual.

For now, it's in creating process.

First of all, as not everyone knows what it is,

it's a sort of annual book/magazine.

Inside, you'll find games, quizzes, all kind of information...

There's a Doctor Who one since almost the start of the show. They make one every year.

So last year we did a Pepperpot Annual. As we are a Doctor Who channel, it's thematic so it's nice.

And as we enjoyed making it last year and as people liked it,

we have decided to make a new one. (Only in French)

Last year, the annual was only available on lulu.com.

This year, it will be in any case on lulu.com

but we also do a crowdfunding.

There are two reasons behind this crowdfunding, which takes place on ulule.com.

First of all, we can add benefits.

So instead of just being a book, it will be customised for you.

Secondly, the Pepperpot Annual was really expensive, mainly because of the shipping fees. It was almost 15€.

We only gain 2€ per book to UNICEF.

But if we make a crownfunding, we can donate more per book

and you pay the same amount for more as you have the benefits.

If you participate to the crowdfunding, for example,

if you take the 15 euros formula,

you will receive your Pepperpot Annual

and your benefits. Every money left will go to UNICEF.

Same for 20, 30, 50 euros. It will all go to UNICEF.

If you can't buy it, don't worry, it will be released for free in PDF in January, just like last year.

We will regularly give you news about the crowdfounding and the annual itself on Facebook and Twitter.

Somewhere here, I'll show you the cover.

It is not finished yet.

We are proud of this cover,

we liked this idea because, as we did "Let It Be" last year,

we decided to do "Sgt. Pepper's" to stay in the Beatles theme.

But we went to a concert last Saturday

and the concert's poster is also inspired of "Sgt. Pepper's"'s cover.

But there are Zarbis on our cover and not on theirs, therefore ours is better.

Last year, we had a "Peppermate 2017" page.

It was "Nolwenn in singlet".

And for this year's Peppermate page, we'll do a Twitter poll.

You can vote now. Who should be the Peppermate 2018?

The link to vote is in the description.

In the description, you will also find the Ulule crowdfunding link.

There is also the link to read the last year's one.

If you like this project, even if you don't participate,

please share it. We care a lot about this project.

It takes a lot of our time and we had some great feedback last year.

We were so pleased to know people laugh while reading it,

and read it with pleasure.

Huge kisses, I can't wait to show you at last this finished baby!

You know, you look lovely today.

You sparkle!

Yes, indeed, I sparkle.

Look, I wanted to tell you something...

Tell me.

I have a problem, you see. It is really important.

What is it? You can tell me.

Haven't you...

Tell me if you received it!

I would like to have my...

PEPPERPOT ANNUAL!

You give me a hard time, it's complicated to work with you!

You piss me off...

-Look at me when I t... -You piss me off!

Oh come on, can't you look at me when I talk to you?

It's tiresome to work with people like you.

You clearly don't know what you want. Tiresome, I say!

For f*ck's sake, look at me!

Leave me alone, leave me alone!

Can't you see I'm sad?!

I still haven't received my...

Learn English - Common Mistake 37 - 'working hardly' or 'working hard'? (with subtitles) - Duration: 1:52.

Hello everybody, and once again welcome

back to 'One English Mistake in One Minute'

where each week I discuss, in detail, one

common English mistake made by English

language learners around the world. This

is video number 37.

My total and everlasting respect and

admiration to you for trying to improve

your English. I am now going to show you

a slide, and on the slide they're going

to be two sentences: One is the correct

way a native English speaker would say

it, the other is the incorrect way an

English language learner around the

world might say it. You have to decide

which is correct. Pause the video if

you have to, and I will talk about the

answer and a little bit more about it in

the slide after.

Ok, so if you got it

wrong, or if you don't know why you got

it right, then it's a good idea to

continue or to try to begin to study and

get past this mistake. To help you

with that, I've given you three sentences

that you can study from. You should

study them, you should drill them into

your head and you should put into

practice what you've learned through

speaking or writing or both.

6 Steps To Self Care Through Self Compassion - Part 4 - Duration: 9:21.

hello and welcome welcome welcome to feminine success secrets the place women

come to become powerfully feminine I am Candice Oneida. today I'm going to teach

you six steps to do self-care through self compassion

are you really hard on yourself? do you find it kind of difficult to forgive yourself when you

make a mistake? are you a bit of a perfectionist? do you find yourself

feeling a bit resentful? do you take things personally? now if you relate to

anyone or any number of those questions like this asked then you are suffering

from a lack of self compassion now the reason why I'm talking about self

compassion as core principles for self-care because these things become

the life living ongoing background about how you're treating yourself in life so

step number one forgive yourself we all make mistakes

to err is human as they say they're the learning to forgive yourself when you

make mistakes that is really compassionate it's really okay I screwed

up I did something wrong I didn't do it intentionally I didn't mean to screw up

that job or hope that person will say that thing in a way that landed poorly

forgive yourself now of course self forgiveness as we

learn how to do this leads to being able to forgive others when they screw up

when they when they fumble something okay step number two no more should and

shouldn't no more right and wrong no more good

and these dialectics should and shouldn't good bad right wrong are the

core of how do ality goes wrong inside of us there's this beautiful work by

this man called Marshall Rosenberg called nonviolent communication or what

it later became known as compassionate communication as it happens essentially

one of the things he teaches in nonviolent communication is to get out

of this dynamic of right wrong good bad should shouldn't and separate yourself

from what's happened and to feel deeply into yourself in a way that's another

step that we have to stop the shoulds and shouldn't first catch yourself doing

and going go instead or am I feeling what am I feeling right now this is a

little a side tip to a pathway to true inner freedom own your feelings

it is very compassionate to own your feelings step number three let go as

they say the best laid plans of mice and men now what that means is look if

you're a smart successful ambitious woman we have high expectations of what

we want to achieve how we want to be how we communicate we tend to be extremely

hard on ourselves in a way that is a bit inhuman you wouldn't necessarily do it

in the same way with somebody else but it can also lead to having really strong

expectations of other people so learning how to let go is about okay I plan to do

this it fell through sometimes things just don't go the way that we planned

and in fact in a learning of feminine power we learn to be a lot more fluid

with the way we goal set with the way we communicate

the way we lose use our body in the way that we create expectations and

assumptions by the way as they say assumptions make an ass out of you and

me seu me it's a pretty good one actually so we want to be a bit more

fluid with how we call set how we plan things it's way more enjoyable for you

it's way more enjoyable for who's sharing in whatever that is with you if

you have more fluidity and again as an aside if you're in a relationship

situation you want to let the masculine do the leading in order that we can see

even to follow and be more in the inviting orientation we are about

experience as women experience is more important to us than the goal step

number four dark self judgments you have to drop the self judgment it comes from

this being high yourself isn't going to make you better at what you do being

hard on yourself doesn't make you excel in fact being

hard to think of the word being hard on yourself creates a crystallization a

hardening inside somehow of your structure we want to do the opposite

with women we want to create space we want to create expansion we want to

create opportunities we want to create invitation right so stop being hard on

yourself and the antithesis the obvious antithesis is be soft with yourself and

it doesn't mean that you're going to be less successful or less capable or less

intelligent it actually creates more fluidity more lubrication of

consciousness when you learn how to do that step number five don't take things

personally I know this is a big one for me and still is at times ho friend in

front of me is tired or a bit cranky or a bit shitty and they're being short

with me and I think it's about me it's usually not something's gone wrong

and I take it personally I've done something wrong now the thing is

honestly underneath that is some belief that you are wrong there's something

wrong with you and so we have to come back to this don't take it personally if

someone is behaving a certain way in front of you whether it's somebody you

love and adore or the checkout chicks being short with you don't take it

personally all of these steps I'm teaching you today when you learn how to

bring compassion to yourself you then start to see through a lens of

compassion on behalf of others and it's such a beautiful thing when you can drop

these things drop that don't be like this be more open be more full it would

be more soft because then you can go home

that person's having a really hard day I wonder what I can do in my energy to

hold a space for them to be more receptive to be more supportive and if

you're reacting to them because you think that there's something wrong with

you then that doesn't help anybody and step number six be gentle with yourself

be gentle with yourself now if we're wanting people friends partners life to

be gentle with us we need to learn to be gentle with ourselves first this is a

follow on from the not being hard on yourself

so being gentle being kind being compassionate toward yourself we tend to

be harder on ourselves than we are with anybody else right and there's something

not quite right about that is a learning through this being gentle being

compassionate being kind doing self-care in general that changes your energy it

changes your relationship to your body it changes your relationship to your

life if you liked the steps in the video today give me a thumbs up or a thumbs

down don't mind just interact I love interaction on the channel and I'd love

you to put a comment below on how you are compassionate to yourself and

remember when you have the courage to go out there and shine you give others

permission to do the same so let's go out there and shine this week bye for now.

NEW SERIES: Get Known On Social Media | Chris Spurvey - Duration: 4:22.

There's so many options online today as it pertains to getting known and getting out

there and getting known for your brand.

In this video, I'm going to tell you about an exciting series that I'm about to release

that is going to help you figure out how to get known on each of the platforms.

My name is Chris Spurvey from ChrisSpurvey.com and I'm really excited that you're taking

the time to watch this video.

I help entrepreneurs take stress out of their business by acquiring customers in a very

consistent manner.

This coming Wednesday, July 12th, I'm really excited to launch the first in a multi-part

series that's going to be entitled, "Get Known On ___."

The first one is going to be called "Get Known On YouTube" and my very special guest

in that episode, in that podcast and video, is going to be Brighton West.

Brighton is a phenomenal individual who has created a phenomenal following on YouTube.

In other words, he has become known on YouTube.

In the series I'm also going to interview Samantha Fallon.

Samantha is focused on Instagram.

I'm going to interview Krystal Hobbs.

She has gotten known, and is an expert at getting known on Facebook.

I'm also going to interview John White.

He's an ambassador for a website called beBee.

We're going to talk about beBee.

I am going to finish up the actual series focusing on LinkedIn.

Oh, sorry!

I forgot one other individual, a very important individual, and probably the most unique episode

out of them all – Bill Flannery.

Bill and I talk about how to get known on Snapchat.

Who would have thought getting known on Snapchat would be a thing to do as Gen-Xers – even

older.

I sort of see Snapchat as the platform that my two younger children operate on.

Bill is a sales guy.

He actually sells plates to restaurants and we focus how he has grown a thriving book

of business using Snapchat.

I'm really excited to launch this series.

As I said, the first one's coming out this coming Wednesday.

Brighton and I are going to talk about YouTube, and then I'm going to follow one week after

the other, focusing on each of the platforms.

Each of the episodes are going to have cheat sheets, downloads, that you are going to be

able to download and follow as a means to become better known on each of the platforms.

The only thing I would like to end this video is by telling you, I'm not suggesting you

need to get known on all the platforms.

My belief is that you focus on one platform and maybe you supplement your one primary

platform by also getting a little bit known on a couple of the other ones.

For me, my strategy has always been LinkedIn first – that's where my ideal client operates.

That's where they're primarily entrepreneurs.

I'm able to communicate with them through LinkedIn, but I supplement my activity on

LinkedIn with YouTube, a little bit of Facebook, and most recently, Instagram, because I find

the visual side of Instagram to be very appealing.

I'm excited about this launch!

Looking forward to sending you the first episode.

It'll start on my podcast – Wednesday morning.

Also we'll be uploading the video and you'll be able to go to ChrisSpurvey.com and tune

in to each of the individual episodes.

Once the series is over, you're going to be able to download a free lead magnet, which

is all the platforms combined and you'll see the varying themes throughout all the

episodes.

Thanks for your time!

Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel here and give me some feedback.

Feel free to like it, dislike this video.

Share a question in the comments below and I'll be there to answer the question for

you.

Have a great week, looking forward to talking to you next Sunday morning.
