Dale Nish Finishing Process | Woodturning How-to - Duration: 3:46.

Hi I'm Mike with Craft Supplies USA and today we're gonna show you how to apply

Dale Nish's favorite finish to your woodturnings.

Dale Nish taught this process of finishing in our woodturning workshop

program for over 25 years. It was his go-to method and is still one of our favorites.

It produces a nice, even appearance on high-figured woods with

changing grain directions and splotchy woods like cherry.

It's also extremely durable and requires little maintenance and it doesn't darken the wood like an oil finish.

We'll need a few supplies to complete the finish.

Deft Clear Wood Finish, lacquer thinner, a top coat finish like Waterlox or ARM-R-SEAL,

a finish bottle, sand paper, a fine woven pad or steel wool, cotton cloth and wax.

Before we get started we need to thin the death clear wood finish 50/50 with

lacquer thinner. This will make it a lot easier to apply and it'll dry faster too.

Give the Deft a good shake to mix all the solids together and then pour a 1 to 1

ratio of Deft and lacquer thinner into a finish bottle.

Now let's get started with the finishing process.

Start by thoroughly sanding the piece through at least 320 grit. take your time to remove all the scratch

marks, blemishes and torn end grain because the finish will accent them

which we definitely don't want.

Using a rag, clean off any dust on the piece.

With the lathe stopped, apply a generous coat of the thinned Deft onto the piece and let it soak in.

Endgrain areas tend to need more finish, so look around the piece and apply more

Deft to any dull areas and let them soak in a bit longer.

While the Deft is still wet, wipe the piece dry with a clean cotton cloth and let it dry for about an hour.

This will create a barrier that will prevent the top coat from darkening the wood.

Now that the sealing coat is dry, apply the top coat with a fine woven pad or steel wool.

Dale liked to use Waterlox, but similar finishes will work just as well.

Use the fine woven pad to wet sand at slow speed, removing any

raised grain and any shiny spots remaining on the surface.

Keep wet sanding until you've got a nice consistent sheen. It shouldn't take too long.

Now buff the work piece dry with a soft cloth, allowing 30 minutes to dry.

If you want to build up the gloss, keep adding more coats. I'm gonna stop at two coats of Waterlox for nice close-to-the-wood finish.

Once the Waterlox is dry, final buffing can be done using a soft cloth and some wax.

Dale liked to use Lemon Oil Wax, so that's what I'm using here.

The wax doesn't add any protection, but it gives the piece a nice soft feel and

it smells great too.

We'll that wraps up this pro tip. Now we've got a durable, natural looking finish on this highly figured piece of Silver Maple.

Deep Image Prior | Two Minute Papers #219 - Duration: 5:00.

Dear Fellow Scholars, this is Two Minute Papers with Károly Zsolnai-Fehér.

This work is about performing useful image restoration tasks with a convolutional neural

network with an additional twist.

Its main use cases are as follows: One, in the case of JPEG artifact removal,

the input is this image with many blocky artifacts that materialized during compression, and

the output is a restored version of this image.

Two, image inpainting where some regions of the input image are missing and are to be

filled with useful and hopefully plausible information.

Three, super resolution where the input image is intact, but is very coarse and has low

resolution, and the output should be a more detailed, higher resolution version of the

same image.

This is the classic enhance scenario from these CSI TV series.

It is typically hard to do because there is a stupendously large number of possible high

resolution image solutions that we could come up with as an output.

Four, image denoising is also a possibility.

The standard way of doing these is that we train such a network on a large database of

images so that they can learn the concept of many object classes, such as humans, animals

and more, and also the typical features and motifs that are used to construct such images.

These networks have some sort of understanding of these images and hence, can perform these

operations better than most handcrafted algorithms.

So let's have a look at some comparisons.

Do you see these bold lettered labels that classify these algorithms as trained or untrained?

The bicubic interpolation is a classical untrained algorithm that almost naively tries to guess

the pixel colors by averaging its neighbors.

This is clearly untrained because it does not take a database of images to learn on.

Understandably, the fact that the results are lackluster is to show that non-learning-based

algorithms are not great at this.

The SRResNet is a state of the art learning-based technique for super resolution that was trained

on a large database of input images.

It is clearly doing way better than bicubic interpolation.

And look, here we have this Deep Prior algorithm that performs comparably well, but is labeled

to be untrained.

So what is going on here?

And here comes the twist - this Convolutional Neural Network is actually untrained.

This means that the neuron weights are randomly initialized, which generally leads to completely

useless results on most problems.

So no aspect of this network works through the data it has learned on, all the required

information is contained within the structure of the network itself.

We all know that the structure of these neural networks matter a great deal, but in this

case, it is shown that it is at least as important as the training data itself.

A very interesting and esoteric idea indeed, please make sure to have a look at the paper

for details as there are many details to be understood to get a more complete view of

this conclusion.

In the comparisons, beyond the images, researchers often publish this PSNR number you see for

each image.

This is the Peak Signal To Noise ratio, which means how close the output image is to the

ground truth, and this number is, of course, always subject to maximization.

Remarkably, this untrained network performs well both on images with natural patterns

and man-made objects.

Reconstruction from a pair of flash and no-flash photography images is also a possibility and

the algorithm does not contain the light leaks produced by a highly competitive handcrafted

algorithm, a joint bilateral filter.

Quite remarkable indeed.

The supplementary materials and the project website contain a ton of comparisons against

competing techniques, so make sure to have a look at that if you would like to know more.

The source code of this project is available under the permissive Apache 2.0 license.

If you have enjoyed this episode and you feel that 8 of these videos a month is worth a

One dollar is almost nothing, but it keeps the papers coming.

Recently, we have also added the possibility of one-time payments through Paypal and cryptocurrencies.

I was stunned to see how generous our crypto-loving Fellow Scholars are.

Since most of these crypto donations are anonymous and it is not possible to say thank you to

everyone individually, I would like to say a huge thanks to everyone who supports the

series.

And this applies to everyone regardless of contribution - just watching the series and

spreading the word is already a great deal of help for us.

Thanks for watching and for your generous support, and I'll see you next time!

Top 10 Resume Mistakes - How Not To Write A Resume - Duration: 4:57.

In this video, you'll learn the top 10 resume writing mistakes that will cost

you a job interview and if you stick around until the end I have a special

bonus just for you. Hey there if we've never met before

I'm Heather Austin from ProfessorAustin.com and on this channel I teach simple

solutions to help you build a business or launch a career you love so if you're

new here consider hitting the subscribe button down below.

So real quick, if you see something missing from this list make sure you

mention it in the comments below. Let's jump into it. Mistake #1, an

unprofessional email address. This will ruin your chances of getting a job

interview. Make sure your email address on your resume is professional.

Preferably your first and last name or some variation of your first and last

name. Mistake #2, including your street address. Including your street

address on a resume actually opens you up to identity theft. Instead of using

your street address provide a customized LinkedIn URL. If you don't know how to

customize your Linkedin URL that's okay because I created a video about how to

do that so I'll go ahead and link that video up below. Mistake #3,

including a profile photo or a headshot on your resume. Your resume is not the

place for your profile picture. Including one actually opens you up for

discrimination based on your age and your gender. If the hiring manager or

employer wants to know what you look like, they can go to your LinkedIn

profile to see a picture but just don't include one on your resume. Mistake

#4, including an objective statement. An objective statement on a

resume is old and outdated. If you have one you need to remove it and replace it

with something like a professional profile or some type of branding

statement that tells a company what you can do for them. Mistake #5, a

hobbies sections. Hiring managers and employers normally don't want to know

about your hobbies at this phase in the interview process. You can save this for

later in maybe a second or a third interview. Leave your hobbies off your

resume. Mistake #6, listing job descriptions. Listing job descriptions on

a resume only informs a hiring manager of your daily tasks. It doesn't demonstrate

the impact you made or the results you achieved in your previous positions.

Rather than listing job descriptions use action verbs and statements that

quantify your accomplishments. Mistake #7, including references. This

is one of the biggest mistakes I see all the time. Your resume is very valuable

real estate. You want to reserve your list of references for a separate sheet

of paper that you can give to the hiring manager or employer if they ask for that.

Mistake #8, poor spelling and grammar. A resume with misspelled words

or bad grammar will go right in the trash. Ask as many qualified people that

you know to proofread your resume. They might catch something that you didn't

see. When it comes to writing a resume that will land you a job interview, avoid

the words "I" and "me" and then also make sure that you don't use present tense

verbs on past tense positions. Mistake # 9, a resume that is too long or

too short. So here's a good rule of thumb when it comes to the length of your

resume. If you have less than 5 years of experience keep your resume to one page.

If you have more than 5 years of work experience it's okay to go to a two page

resume. Mistake #10, a resume that is too generic. Hiring managers and

recruiters sometime sit through hundreds of resumes a day.

Make sure every resume you submit is tailored to a specific job. An easy way

to do this is to place key words throughout your resume. This will make

sure your resume pasts applicant tracking software and it will catch the eye of a

hiring manager or recruiter a lot quicker. Okay guys thanks for hanging

with me until the end. I promised you a special bonus and here it is. It's the

six-second resume. It's a downloadable resume that you can use and tailor for

the next position that you apply for. I'll go ahead and link it up below. So I

have a question for you. What resume writing mistake have you seen recently

that we should add to the list? Feel free to comment below and as always if you

know someone that might benefit from this video please feel free to share it

with them. Don't forget to hit the like button below and be sure to subscribe

Culture and Organizational Change - Duration: 3:43.

Hey, what's up, heroes?

It's 2018, and I am back.

And this week, I'm gonna be talking about how to change your culture.

And, stick around 'til the end, I'll give you a little update on what I been up to in

the last couple weeks.

Hi my name's Roman Ryder, and on this channel, I'll help you unlock your powers and be the

hero of your story.

If you're new to my channel, make sure you click on subscribe.

I put out new videos every week, and you don't want to miss out.

All right, so how do you change your culture?

The first thing is to do and say what you believe.

So, you got to get out there, and you got to tell people what you're all about.

You want to make this message super simple, so they can easily repeat it.

And that way, you start to get consistent results, so even if you're not around to make

a decision, they're gonna do and say what you believe because you've consistently and

persistently got out there and told them what you believe.

All right, the other thing is that actions speaks louder than words.

So, they're gonna be watching you very closely.

So, you need to make sure you're ... once again, you're consistently doing what you

believe.

So, you can't just talk about it, you got to back it up with your actions.

Sometimes that's gonna be painful, but you got to do it.

You got to show them that you're all about this change that you want.

All right, so what's next?

Well, you have to back them up.

So, no matter what happens, if they're out there doing what you believe, then you need

to have their backs, you need to show them that you're gonna support them, that you're

gonna take responsibility when things don't go right, because they were trying to do the

right thing.

And along the same lines, you want to recognize behaviors you want and you want to coach the

behaviors you don't want.

So, when they trust you and they know that you've got their backs, they're gonna be more

comfortable, they're gonna perform better, and they're gonna go out there and do their

best for you.

All right, so the other thing is that this isn't gonna happen overnight.

So, once again, consistent and persistent.

You got to keep at it, you got to get out there and talk to people.

You got to keep putting that simple message out there, that simple message they can remember

when you're not around so they can do what you expect of them no matter what.

You're empowering them to go out and do that, and things are gonna go great.

All right, so if you like this video, hit the like button below to share it with your

friends, and don't forget to subscribe.

Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next video.

But, for all of you geeks, stick around for a couple more minutes, I'll tell you what

I've been up to the last couple weeks.

So, first of all, I've been playing tons of Dungeons and Dragons.

That's something I haven't done really consistently since the '80s.

I've got a character I'm absolutely loving.

I've got a level seven arcane trickster rogue, I cast all illusion spells, he's using range

attacks with the bow, lots of sneak attack damage, very stealthy, very fun.

The other thing is, I've actually started designing my first adventure.

Kind of started out, I was painting miniatures for the first time ever.

Painted a couple of miniatures, did one of my rogue.

Really liked it, they came out pretty good, so I kind of went on a miniature buying spree,

got some more paints, started writing up some stories to go with his, and drawing out some

dungeons.

And so, I've been totally geeking out with Dungeons and Dragons.

The other thing is, it's been playing little bit of WOW.

I'm up to level 55 on a night elf hunter.

Having good fun with that, doing the beast master thing.

And that's pretty much it, I just kind of been geeking out in my little fantasy world,

so if that's your thing, very cool.

I also have been watching a lot of Critical Role.

So, if you haven't checked out Critical Role and you love Dungeons and Dragons, make sure

you check out the Geek and Sundry channel and watch Critical Role.

Matthew Mercer is an amazing dungeon master.

All right, so I hope you enjoyed this video.

Make sure you connect with me on Facebook.

I've got the hero mastermind, I'll put a link below.

Love to talk to you there about leadership stuff, Dungeons and Dragons, whatever it is.

Star Wars.

Anything along those lines, I'm there for you, so I will see you over on Facebook.

Thanks for watching, I'll see you next time.

What are the 5 Points of Calvinism? | What is Calvinism and is it Biblical? - Duration: 3:56.

Question: "What is Calvinism and is it biblical?

What are the five points of Calvinism?"

In this video I'll answer those questions from a biblical perspective.

Afterwards, I'll share some helpful resources, so stick around until the end.

The five points of Calvinism can be summarized by the acronym TULIP.

T stands for total depravity, U for unconditional election, L for limited atonement, I for irresistible

grace, and P for perseverance of the saints.

Here are the definitions and Scripture references Calvinists use to defend their beliefs:

Total Depravity - As a result of Adam's fall, the entire human race is affected; all

humanity is dead in trespasses and sins.

Man is unable to save himself.

Unconditional Election - Because man is dead in sin, he is unable to initiate a response

to God; therefore, in eternity past God elected certain people to salvation.

Election and predestination are unconditional; they are not based on man's response because

man is unable to respond, nor does he want to.

Limited Atonement - Because God determined that certain ones should be saved as a result

of God's unconditional election, He determined that Christ should die for the elect alone.

All whom God has elected and for whom Christ died will be saved.

Irresistible Grace - Those whom God elected He draws to Himself through irresistible grace.

God makes man willing to come to Him.

When God calls, man responds.

Perseverance of the Saints - The precise ones God has elected and drawn to Himself through

the Holy Spirit will persevere in faith.

None whom God has elected will be lost; they are eternally secure.

While all these doctrines have a biblical basis, many people reject all or some of them.

So-called "four-point Calvinists" accept Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Irresistible

Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints as biblical doctrines.

Man is definitely sinful and incapable of believing in God on his own.

God elects people based on His will alone – election is not based on any merit in

the person chosen.

All whom God has chosen will come to faith.

All who are truly born-again will persevere in their faith.

As for Limited Atonement, however, four-point Calvinists believe that atonement is unlimited,

arguing that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not just for the sins of the elect.

"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins

of the whole world" (1 John 2:2).

The five-point Calvinists, however, see problems with four-point Calvinism.

First, they argue, if Total Depravity is true, then Unlimited Atonement cannot possibly be

true because, if Jesus died for the sins of every person, then whether or not His death

is applicable to an individual depends on whether or not that person "accepts" Christ.

But as we have seen from the earlier description of Total Depravity, man in his natural state

has no capacity whatsoever to choose God, nor does he want to.

In addition, if Unlimited Atonement is true, then hell is full of people for whom Christ died.

He shed His blood in vain for them.

To the five-point Calvinist, this is unthinkable.

Please note: this has only been a brief summary of the five points of Calvinism.

that so thank you so much for the comment and the input to share with the

community if you'd like me to read out your comment please make sure you hit

that Bell icon a desktop a mobile because I'll be picking from the first

30 commenters to pick one of those beginning of every single video okay

guys on with the video [side note just to let you know a lot of people have been

asking me for one-on-one consultations of our autism and Asperger's so I have a

link in the description below where you can book me for a one-on-one

consultation so please check that out] ok so 5 Signs of AUTISM and this is gonna'

a super swell video so number one is a repetitive behavior so this video is

aimed mainly at children but repetitive behaviors not just in children's with

owls as well and the idea is that the child or the person will have a

repetitive behavior so they may just play with one toy or just spin a wheel

of a toy you know they could sit there just spinning a wheel or they could just

look at one thing for ages I'll play the fidget spinner and just stare at the

fidget spinner for a while and that is repetitive behavior at best and this

type of thing is soothing because it's soothing to the person with autism

because people with autism like repetitive familiarity and things like

wheels and things are spin and repetitive behaviors they're kind of

soothing to the to someone with autism that is super cool but it's something to

look out for because if you notice this characteristic in a child or a person

who you suspect of autism this is a good indication that they may actually have

the condition and it's just going undiagnosed

number two is that the person may not smile much so some children may not

smile as much and they may not have a good coping mechanism with their

emotions I'm going to show that emotions they may not show when they're happy

they may not show when they're sad you know it could be the birthday and

they're still like you know upset or miserable or it looks like they're upset or

misirible but it's just because they cannot convey the information of the

communication part of their brain which is got this in issue which is because of

the autism where they can't really show their emotion well because it's

communicating their emotion to their facial expressions which is quite

difficult people in the autism spectrum number three is getting upset with minor

changes now a lot of people on the autism spectrum

love routine they love things again repetitive behavior but when you are

used to something like you get up you have toast you go to school and you come

home or whatever you do if there's a small change within that routine where

there's no toast today or you run out of butter or the toast is slightly burnt or

somebody went into the bathroom before they get and then there's this huge

freakout where there's this moment of anxiety or complete confusion or just

anger or just you know a pent up emotion this is again triggered because of the

the upset in in in the routine so autistic people like routine and they

like everything to be familiar they don't like a lot of changes so even the

smallest change can freak out somebody on the autism spectrum

again a good key indicator for looking out for somebody who has autism flapping hands

or like stimming as it's more professionally called but a lot of

people see kids doing this or they'll be like just one hand or they may rock

their whole body and stimming is a sort of self soothing it can happen at

different times it can happen when somebody gets excited or it can happen

when somebody's anxious about something it's because the notion of the the stim

actually is repetitive and that repetitiveness helps cool the brain down

a little bit and helps soothe the person who's going through this whatever it may

be whether it's a change or excitement or something that is hiding their

emotion it's a kind of wave controlling how the person feels but it's also a

good indicator to see that the person is reacting to the stimuli happening around

them but again it's super super common in people with autism and is a good

indicator again for looking up some but you may be on the autism spectrum okay

so number five is not really answering to their name and a lot of people on the

autism spectrum when they're quite young are diagnosed as being deaf but they're

not actually deaf you know they can hear perfectly well but the problem is they

don't respond to their name and the reason they don't respond to the name is

due to a few factors again one is because they zone out and this is the

main factor of zone out on something so when somebody has an autism spectrum

condition like Asperger syndrome or autism a high-functioning autism or low

functioning autism or any type of spectrum disorder they'll get super

super into something and they'll be zoned into that thing and that may take

their entire capacity for focus of just that one thing so if you could be

calling on them for hours and they'll just not hear you and another thing is

because they're focusing on other things they're not always aware that you'll be

calling them by name again it does take a little bit of time and they will get

used to having the name called it's just initially

that whole process does take a little bit longer and it's a good indicator to

see if somebody is on the autism spectrum okay so here's a bonus one for

you guys this is number six and I thought I'd do this because I don't know

I'm really cool and I'll give you an extra bonus thing here so number six is

hypersensitive to taste texture smells and sounds and this is because people on

the autism spectrum normally have a hyper or hypo sensitive hyper

sensitivity hypo sensitivity to things like flashing lights or fluorescent

lights or certain smell, certain textures, certain foods

and these things can really upset somebody so like somebody on the autism

spectrum may not like you know wet food with with dry foods and they may not

like that combination mix they mean they may get really freaked out over certain

smells or certain foods and they can't be in the room with certain foods and it

really makes them upset or angry and this again is the communication part of

the brain it's a fantastic phenomena within people with autism spectrum but

it's a good indicator to look out for a few suspicious or somebody on the autism

spectrum if you'd like to learn more about autism please make sure you hit

that subscribe button above here to see my last video it's over here and here is

a video that YouTube think you will like I'll see you next time guys peace

I don't even know this qualifies as a piece of news. I suppose that

as I am the most annoying youtuber when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077 it is my duty

to inform you that after four years of silence

CD Projekt RED tweeted this

They didn't say anything officially about Cyberpunk 2077 in four years

past tweet was from December 2013 and I suppose that the intention of

this tweet is that we all go crazy It's normal to assume because it's

we are going to go crazy and I am not going to go on with the

speculation about what this tweet means

and I'm sure that this speculation about this tweet is going to be on and on

until they make a new announcement but I suppose that it's safe to assume that it

seems that CD Projekt RED is finally ready to say something about the game

Even if it's a "stay tuned for more news" because if this is true...

Well, you know what it's going to happen? I'm going to flood your YouTube feed

Crown of Blood: Lady Jane Grey, interview with Tudor historian Nicola Tallis - Duration: 4:24.

Nicola many congratulations on the publication of your new book "Crown of

Blood subtitled the deadly inheritance of Lady Jane Grey", in it you argue that

the crown of England was in some ways a poisoned chalice? I think the term

poisoned chalice is perhaps a bit strong but I do certainly argue that royal

blood could be as much of a curse as a blessing and I think really that Janes'

example demonstrates that for any who aspired to a crown the axe could fall at

any time. in what ways was Lady Jane Grey a pawn

on a political chessboard? She was absolutely 100% a pawn she was

the traditional tale that Jane was forced into a queenship that she didn't

want is a hundred percent accurate she in no way wanted to be queen and for a

long time I don't think that her parents ever imagines that she would be queen

either or certainly not a queen regnant in her own right. I think that they had

visions of her marrying Edward the sixth and becoming a queen consort but never

Queen in her own right which was completely unprecedented at that time in

any case, so the whole situation was really manipulated primarily by

John Dudley the Duke of Northumberland and Janes' parents eventually fell in

with it too and of course Jane being a girl was expected to fall in with the

wishes of her parents and her male superiors and just expected to be

obedient. How significant was John Dudley in this tragic drama? Incredibly

significant, John Dudley really rises to power during the reign of Edward the

sixth and comes to the forefront of English politics through the fall of

Edward the sixth's uncle Edward Seymour the Duke of Somerset and he really

manipulated the whole situation in order to serve his own purposes and to keep a

grasp on the power that he had over the throne. What do you think it is about the

Tudors that centuries later has created such high drama for historians

to investigate? They're such a cutthroat family and such a cutthroat dynasty I

think and they've all got such strong personalities or most of them have

anyway so you've got Henry the eighth who's this larger-than-life figure but

almost in many ways the father of the Tudor dynasty and of course Elizabeth

the first is is well remembered too but actually Edward and Mary, Henry's son and

Henry's other daughter they were they were dominant personalities within their

own right it's just that their their reigns and their lives were cut short

and they didn't have much chance to demonstrate their characters but we have

to remember that within the five years that Mary was queen she did order the

burnings of nearly 300 Protestants and I think had Edward the sixth reigned

longer - then he probably would have done something similar in terms of

Catholics. It was an age of extremes wasn't it? Absolutely yeah absolutely

extremes and you know some historians estimate that Henry the eighth's ordered

the executions of up to 72,000 people almost certainly a great exaggeration

but needless to say by the end of his reign he had gone from a handsome and

liberal Prince to a tyrant. So what's next for you? My next book is a biography

of Lettice Nollys who was the wife of Elizabeth the first favourite Robert

Dudley Earl of Leicester so it's called "Elizabeth's rival: the

life of Lettice Nollys but that again is interesting too because she may have

been an illegitimate granddaughter of Henry the eighth's and so they may have

she already was a cousin of Elizabeth the first but actually the two might

have been closer than they maybe you know were aware of themselves and she

died at the age of 91, so her reign I'm sorry her life spans

from the reign of Henry the eighth right through to Charles the first.

Nicola Tallis thank you. Thank you.

CS:GO - ELEAGUE Major Pick'Em Predictions (Preliminary Phase) - Duration: 4:02.

It's that time of the year again.

Hey guys, salut mes amis och hallå gubbar, Maxim here!

The ELEAGUE Major and it's phases starts on Friday, and as always we can participate in

the mini game challenge known as the Team Pick'Em.

To be part of the Pick'Em challenge you will need team stickers that you can buy from the game.

The goal is to predict which teams will go through the different phases of the Major,

and if you pick the correct teams you will earn points so you can get either a bronze,

silver or gold trophy which can be displayed in-game.

The first phase of the major is called the Preliminary Stage, which is the one I'll be

focusing on for this video.

And yes, I'll release two more videos for the other phases of the tournament.

As a side note, once you apply a team sticker, it will be locked until the end of the Phase.

After that the sticker will be available in your inventory.

Just remember to pick your teams before it begins on Friday or it will be too late.

So these are the teams for the preliminary stage.

Each correct pick will give you 1 point.

Also please understand that these are my picks, yours might be different but can we please

just respect each-other's picks in the comment section?

Anyway let's begin.

Even though FaZe have had issues winning all their matches in the past, I still think they

can be one of the 2 teams to go undefeated.

Their first match is against Liquid, and they could cause an upset,

however it's worth mentioning that Liquid are forced to play with Zews, their coach

as a stand-in, instead of Steel their fifth player because of the rules.

One of the 2 teams that I think will be eliminated without winning a game is Flash.

I wanted to put Quantum Bellator Fire here but the fact that this is the team replacing

TyLoo I don't expect them to perform that well.

They were lucky to be part of the major basically.

Now for the teams that I think will go through.

First off, Mousesports, they have been performing really well recently.

I remember watching them at the ECS Season 4 Finals and they are definitely one of the

better teams.

Also, Oskar is amazing and he constantly proves this with his AWP skills.

Next, Navi.

This team has looked a bit unstable over the last few weeks, but according to Simple they

have been saving strats for the Major so they will most likely be in very good shape.

Next, Cloud9.

I would've probably picked Liquid here, but as I said before they have to play with a stand-in.

Cloud9 is one of the best NA teams and for this Major it feels like a solid pick.

Now here's an interesting fact that you probably didn't know.

From the last 4 majors, 4 players from G2 have been able to qualify but not been able

to reach the playoffs.

I'm not sure why but they seem to get stuck in the group stages.

However I'm still going to pick them because they have some of the best french players

in the scene, like Shox and KennyS.

Next, Space Soldiers.

Now this is a team that I've been looking more closely at for the last couple of days

and I feel like they can surprise us.

They have a lot of talented players, but most notably their star XANTARES.

I've looked at his demos, and in my opinion, he's one of the best CT-side players out there,

combined together with his aim which is insanely good.

If he's able to perform at his top along with his teammates, then I think they have good

chances of going through.

Next up, EnvyUS, they're also a really good French team that you shouldn't underestimate

too much.

Sure, I really don't think they'll go through undefeated, but I think they'll go through anyway.

The last pick for me is pretty hard but I'm gonna go with Misfits.

This team is a mix of French and American players and they just seem to be doing so

great right now, it's nice to see SeanGares back at it again.

I really think they have the potential to go through.

So these are my picks, and how have you picked?

Let me know in the comments.

Hope you enjoyed the video, make sure you follow me on Twitter and other social medias

as well to see behind the scenes, I'll see you guys in the next one, and go bananas!
