There's A Million Excuses Not To Write by Mark Sanderson - Duration: 9:13.

Film Courage: We had a comment that came in which said [in response to a video interview]

"That's easy for this person to say because this person is a professional screenwriter

and it's their job to write all day.

It makes sense to say it's your job (kind of like get over it, just do it).

But most people that watch the Film Courage [Youtube] channel [Which is very nice that

they think this] are not professional screenwriters they actually have other jobs that have to

pay the bills.

Screenwriting is a hobby for them at best while they make the two worlds work and that

I get.

So no…you don't have to write everyday to be a writer."

Mark Sanderson: I don't write every day.

I do when I am on assignment and then when I'm not, I'm kind of exhausted.

And the last year has been crazy I mean with like 6 movies so it's like almost every

3 months turnaround.

But it's fantastic because I was constantly writing but it's draining.

It's almost like I want to go do something else and stop.

And they say "Well, when you stop the assignment, you want to go work on your spec."

Like not right now because I don't have the time you know?

But you have to manage your time, you really do and there is no excuse.

I've had to do it when I was in college in film school.

I was working 4 to 5 nights a week in a restaurant.

But I had friends who went to film school or any college and they could just go to school.

They had the luxury of living at home, their parents paid for everything.

I had to pay my bills.

But I think that trained me into really sectioning my time.

Yeah you can go to parties and all this stuff and I was not only making movies in film school

but I was also after day class I had to go down (I was working in Westwood here) and

work a 5-hour shift and then come home.

So it really trained me for that.

And there's a million excuses why we don't want to write.

I mean truthfully when it's difficult, even more "Oh, you know?"

Like I said, I never have the house as clean as when I am procrastinating.

But the movie I just turned in on assignment was my 35th screenplay.

It's still learning, I still respect the craft and bow down to it because I learn something

every time.

Every project is different, every producer or company you work with, it's a while different

scenario each time.

Yes, you know how it works a lot better.

I look at old scripts now and like my 4th spec (my 5th one sold), my 4th one made some

noise.

We met with the A-list actors about it (this was a million years ago) but I looked back

at that script and I was like "Arrgghh!

If we'd only, if I could only go back and rewrite that with what I know now but you

only have the knowledge that you have this exact moment in time and you can't live

with regrets, so study, get better, write more screenplays.

Yes writers write, but I don't think you should feel guilty if you're not writing

every day but don't let it go two days because two leads to four, four leads to a week, this

weekend we've got something going on, you have to schedule it and I always say to aspiring

screenwriters, treat it like your job because it will be.

You don't have the luxury of when you write your specs to go "Uh, I'm going to go

off today."

Work on it for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, whatever it is.

But that constant is what is going to happen when you get the assignment jobs and you don't

want to be shocked when suddenly you get this opportunity, you're hired to write a movie

and you can't physically sit there for 8 hours a day or you can't write it in 30

days or you can't write it in 8 weeks or however much time you've agreed to write

the screenplay.

You will be shocked because you're not training.

The same thing as an athlete or you wouldn't go run a marathon without training for it,

same thing in my opinion, in my experience.

And so if you'r going to spend the time writing your specs, train yourself now for

the (hopefully) for the time that you are going to be hired to write screenplays and

then you'll be much better.

But again…yes…coming from a thing that this is all I do for a living but that's

where you want to be.

And like I say, I better damn well be doing it 10 hours a day if that's all I do.

Film Courage: It seems like maybe some jobs are more draining than others.

And I know it's easy for me to just say "Oh, well just find a job that's not draining!"

And I know that's easier said than done.

But I think there are jobs where you can have sort of a side other job or slash hobby and

there are jobs where it just takes you out of it, it's so demanding.

Mark Sanderson: And the thing about that is it's going to take you that much longer

if you can only write on the weekends, how long do you think your screenplay is going

to take.

It's going to take 6 months.

You know, I mean that's where the time creeps in and there's so many other distractions

and interruptions that come in that 6 months that are dangerous, that will derail you so

quickly and go "hmmm."

That's where you have to…I would dig deep and say "This is what I want to do and there's

nothing…"

That's where the passion and the tenacity come from that really drives you through all

those other, through the field.

You are going to step on that - Kaboom!

And that sets you back 3 months.

It's really difficult.

And yes, you are right.

When I worked at the law firm for 2 years, it was draining.

And I would come home and have to write again.

But it was even worse because I had a movie go into production while I was at the job

and again it wasn't enough money to quit.

And so I had to excuse myself and say "I'm going to go to the set for a few days this

week because I was an as needed assistant type position and that was again (even years

later) a freaky thing going "But why do I have to work at the thing?

I've got a movie."

And then you look at the thing and you go okay I get it.

And then I stayed on it for another year at the firm and do the same thing.

Come home, make dinner, write, you know, blah, blah, blah and then I got a call from the

production company that I worked with (the new president of production) and they said

"Hey!

How come we haven't worked with you since the last movie?"

I said "I don't know?"

They said "We have this fast track movie we want you to write.

It's a done deal."

And I gave my 2-week notice.

I was like this is my kick in my pants that I'm back in without fear not like "Oh,

well…"

And the money was good at the firm.

But I was seeing myself be derailed and I had a relationship at the time (my girlfriend)

and I saw just everything was being derailed and I thought well I could just get into this

and you know, another year go by and…

So when that call came in from the company I was like "I gotta go."

And they were shocked.

They were like "Well…well…I guess this is what you do?"

And I said "Yeah.

This is what I do.

I'm a writer.

I have to go do writing and it's a job."

And they said "You are always welcome to come back."

And I said "Exactly."

Like when I finally quit the restaurant business when I got my first job, it took me 6 years

out of film school before I landed my first professional writing job and I thought when

they handed out the diplomas they were going to give me a 2 picture deal.

"Oh thank you very much.

Oh look at this?"

6 years!

And that's not for lack of writing and specs and all of that stuff.

I finally landed a job so I gave the notice at the restaurant and they were like "Huh?"

They didn't quite understand and they were like "So how long is this job for?"

And I go "No!

I'm out.

O-U-T.

Not coming back."

I said "I appreciate…there's never again will I step foot…"

And I didn't.

I mean I did catering but that was sort of less of a, you're in different places.

But I was never going to work…I worked 10 years in a restaurant.

I did many odd jobs in my life, I say in the book.

Many different jobs but it was all about facilitating me being able to stick with my dream, whatever

the job was, as long as it allowed me to continue, I didn't care.

It wasn't embarrassing or you know.

It was like you have to do what you have to do.

Film Courage: It reminds me of the movie I just watched IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.

So Jimmy Stewart he thinks I'm going to go off and see the world and then go be an

architect and then gets sucked back in 2 years or 4 years at the bank and it keeps…life

changed for him.

Mark Sanderson: It's hard.

It really is hard.

But as I say it's hard, I am living proof that it does happen.

And there's no guarantees but I always say the only guarantee in screenwriting is that

if you should stop writing, you're definitely guaranteed never to have any chance at success.

So as long as you're in the game, you have a shot.

Report Obama Lost 16 k Manufacturing Jobs in 2016, Trump Gained 1 - Duration: 4:12.

Report: Obama Lost 16k Manufacturing Jobs in 2016, Trump Gained 171k in 2017

President Trump is making manufacturing great again, and he has 171,000 reasons to prove

it.

Thats the number of manufacturing jobs the United States added in the first year

of Donald Trumps administration, compared to a loss of 16,000 in the last year of the

Obama administration.

Factories nationwide have added 171,000 jobs so far in 2017 a rebound from the

previous year when factories shed 16,000 jobs, a December article from NPR, always known

for its inveterate fairness to the Trump administration, read.

In fact, NPR was so fair about it that it gave the credit to pretty much everything

else aside from the Trump administration.

Trump has promised to lead a renaissance in American manufacturing, the article

continued.

The sector has generally been adding jobs since 2010, although the strength of export-oriented

factories is strongly tied to whats happening in the global economy.

So lets get this straight: Factory jobs were trending downward, but the first year

of the Trump administration saw them skyrocket.

But thats all the global economy, and manufacturing has generally been adding jobs.

If Donald Trump literally invented an Iron Man-like suit that allowed him to fly up in

the sky and intercept a North Korean ICBM as it was about to hit Washington, D.C., one

gets the feeling NPR would run a paean to the company that manufactured the super-light

material the suit was made out of and note that the company had been founded during the

Obama administration.

There was also the issue of wage growth, but the administration seems to think it can get

that under control.

Wages are rising, but theyre not rising as fast as I believe they really should in

order to attract the workers that they need, Tom Maher, who runs a Manpower temping agency

in Ohio, told NPR in early December.

Virtually every manufacturer in the area has a help-wanted sign outside their window.

However, a help-wanted sign in every window is a good thing, and Kevin Hassett, chairman

of the presidents Council of Economic Advisers, says that he thinks the recently passed Republican

tax bill will help significantly.

Wage growth was not as strong as wed like to see it, Hassett said during the

same panel discussion Maher spoke on.

We fully expect that thats going to accelerate next year if the tax bill passes.

And it did.

As Hassett noted, the rest of the fundamentals are good.

Were at that point in the cycle where the market is tight enough that its really

rewarding everybody, he said.

If we could sustain growth at this level for another couple of years then the amount

of progress we could make on income inequality and wage growth for middle America would be

maybe even unprecedented.

And its not just manufacturing jobs, either.

As the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, the U.S. added 148,000 jobs in December and

the unemployment rate held at a 17-year-low.

Talk about a very merry Christmas especially for a middle America that saw itself being

virtually ignored during the Obama administration.

WEIGHT LOSS Q&A - The Truth & My Secrets - Duration: 57:23.

hey babes welcome back to my channel today is a Q&A video on health fitness

weight loss everything that whole massive subject it's such a large

subject to talk about and I asked you guys to send me a bunch of questions on

snapchat so I'm gonna be answering all of those today I did serve like a part

one where I took my weight loss video on how I lost 30 pounds and that was just

kind of me talking about my journey how I started all the things that I've kind

of learned along the way so I remember me having a ton of

questions when I first started so I thought I wanted to do a Q&A video where

I answer your questions and things that you guys might be confused about today

I'm having such a dry morning when I was applying my foundation it did not want

to go on so if I look a little bit patchy that is one I just loved winter

in Canada it's just beautiful so I'm gonna go ahead and answer the first

question okay so first question is from Alisha hi

Alicia so your question is how do you keep yourself motivated to eat healthy

every day and not deprive yourself this question is actually really good because

one thing I really really talk about so much in my last video is not depriving

yourself not putting too much pressure on yourself

so to me I think that that's something that's very important when you're trying

to lose weight in general depriving yourself is a very short term solution

to what you actually want in the long term so if I say to myself okay well I

want to lose 30 pounds in six months I'm gonna be eating 600 calories a day

you're depriving yourself what happens is you're going to lose the weight very

quickly you have an unrealistic lifestyle and an unrealistic solution to

week 2 your long-term goal the problem with that is is it doesn't last and

that's what I did in the beginning I was depriving myself I was constantly

starving if you are to the point where you are starving that's telling me that

your body is asking you for more it's just not working for your understanding

to not deprive yourself while you're trying to lose weight I think is a very

very important lesson that I think everybody needs to kind of follow

because when you deprive yourself and you get your goal so quickly

basically literally that's what they are they're quick fixes and I think that we

need to keep reminding ourselves we are looking for a long-term lifestyle

solution we're not looking for a quick solution that's not what we're looking

for because in the past when I have had quick solutions or these quick fixes

that made me lose all these pounds I wasn't happy so that's what that that

was the result that I got from depriving myself so what happened was I did that

again so the next time I did I deprived myself again and I got the exact same

result so you have to think to yourself okay so depriving myself is not the

solution it didn't really help me it didn't get it to where I wanted to be so

that's when we had to do a lot more research you know Amy Amy Amy learned a

lot about how it works how the body works how you really lose weight the

better way to lose weight the more realistic way to lose weight and then

you realize that the new solution is long-term it's going to take much longer

but you're not going to be depriving yourself so to me depriving equals

short-term solutions and you're going to go back all the way again long-term

solutions you don't deprive yourself you create a realistic plan for yourself

that works and guess what you're going to have a longer-term solution and in

the end you're gonna save yourself I want to keep going in with I'm where I'm

not and I'm happy where I'm at but I want to keep going but the person who

deprives themselves they're gonna be like I feel so defeated like oh my god I

just want to give up you know like I've ran on the treadmill like an hour every

single day I'm eating like a thousand calories a day I feel extremely

exhausted do you think that person is going to make in the long run or do you

think the person that created a realistic solution for themselves is

going to be there in the long run still standing that's where I'm kind of at the

way that I see motivated again I talked about this in my last one

but again motivation is something it's it's so hard because I actually don't

really believe in motivation I think I wait what motivated me in the beginning

to start is definitely health it's I guess I would say this 50 percent my

body 50% health reasons but I mentioned a lot of people of my family were

getting extremely ill and I watched a ton of documentaries on health and what

we put into our bodies is basically what we would come and I mean how much more

simple can you get than that literally what you were putting it like if you put

poison into your body do you think your body is going to be like smiling and

happy inside it's not but if you put something full of nutrients and vitamins

antioxidants all these things that your body loves to consume if you put that

into your body don't you think your body's gonna be happy and smile I know

it sounds crazy saying that but think about it in a way your body inside

smiles when you when you are feeding it the things that it really needs it

doesn't know how to consume all these other like extra process things it just

doesn't understand so what I guess what motivated me in the beginning was do I

want to be sick in the long run like I'm 27 years old do I wanna have health

issues because I want to be able to travel the world I want to be able to

enjoy marriage I want to be able to enjoy kids my family I don't want to be

sick and in a hospital the reason why I don't like to put so much weight on

motivation is because I think that a lot of people want that thing that makes

them jump off the couch and get into the gym it's so much more empowering when

it's you that gets yourself to the gym what is you that says to yourself you

know what step get up go to the gym it's good for you like just get there and

then when you're done you're gonna feel amazing I always tell it to myself when

you go and you do your workout you're gonna feel amazing okay just focus on

that and it does it makes me feel amazing I definitely don't feel good

when I stay at home five days in a row now for the gym I feel good when I go

there I workout and I just feel good about myself I feel accomplished and I

feel like I have created a bowl for myself and you can't wait for this

motivation thing you can't make it a thing and say okay well

I think hasn't pushed me so I'm not gonna get up that's the only thing I

don't like about motivation so it's fine to have that thing to push you to go but

just don't don't put so much pressure on yourself to wait for this motivation if

you're waiting for something and you're just not moving it just means that

you're just not ready it's just not for you it's not your time right now maybe

you need to do a bit more research and maybe you need to look within yourself

and find you know why is it that I want to even lose weight you know Namie

because I think that you need to ask yourself and really have a true

understanding of why you want to start losing weight instead of just waiting

for that thing that's going to push you because again we're talking about the

long run we're not talking about a short fix so next question is I never know

whether to buy clothes before or after and lose weight I have the let me buy

this now and all those weight to fit into it mentally - she says I'm a hot

mess please help what do you do so this

question is very very good it's something that I had to think about when

I was losing weight for sure I got rid of I only got rid of a ton of clothes

when I lost the 30 pounds so here's what I would suggest

I would keep when you're first starting your weight I would definitely keep a

couple of clothes that you need to wear right now the ones that fits you right

now I do want to touch your wardrobe when you are first starting leave your

wardrobe as is and I would suggest not to buy do not buy clothes in I would say

the first three three months that you're starting to lose weight just don't buy

clothes not right now because the first three months is when you're starting

right and then fourth and fifth month you see all this progress and you think

oh my god now I'm a size four handsome good watch the size for stuff but the

problem is going to get a bunch of size four stuff is now you get a bunch of

size four and then you end up being the size two and you have to buy an entire

new wardrobe again so what I did was I left my wardrobe in the very

I did not do anything with that I left it a couple stuff I wanted to get rid of

but it wasn't because the sides I just wanted to get rid of them so I did that

and then after a couple months I saw so much progress and I'm like oh this shirt

is so loose I'm like but you know what maybe I'll buy like one one or two pairs

assurance wanted to present pants because of course nobody wants to wear

loose clothing like let's just be real so you can do that goodbye a couple of

pieces but when I made a couple doesn't mean like go buy 10 t-shirts and 10 new

pants and renew your wardrobe I would suggest that if it's so bad especially

pants I think shirts can last you a long time because I mean the trend is to do

oversized everything these days with to something matter if they're loose but

pants of course nobody wants pants or them you know falling down there or

walking during the day so nobody one side so I did find that I had to buy

like smaller tights I was a medium before in tights now I'm a small in

tights so when it became too much like when I saw that I was losing too much

weight and now my pants were just not fitting me at all I would go and buy it

you know two periods of small tights and stuff like that but when it came to tops

and body suits and dresses I stayed away from it I said to myself you know why

wait until you have lost a ton of weight like six months after I would say that's

when you've lost a lot of pounds right so you're kind of like this new person

you're not like you're not the same person that you started before I mean

six months has passed down so then I would say to buy a couple more things if

you're still at a stage where you're like no I still need like 20 pounds to

go again only by like a couple of items don't do too many I personally I know

you mentioned I do this before - you're not the only one where you bought the

clothes where you're like okay well I'm gonna buy these pants because that's my

goal pants that's fine I had gold pants but I wanted to fit into I bought a pair

of jeans from sirens that were size five and I'm like I am like wow I'm gonna get

into these fans like that's crazy because I got one when I tried them on

and I'm like they don't fit so you know what that's fine it was a lesson to me I

put them in my closet I said I will fit into you though one day I will and guess

what I wore those pants and my hole at your lookbook and I fit into those

so it feels good but imagine if you had like five of those pants not all of them

are gonna fit you the exact same so I kind of regretted that I bought those

pants a little bit too soon but you know what I said to myself that's the one

pair of pants I'm going it's going to be my goal it's gonna stay there in my

closet until I fit into them and I did I accomplished that goal so I felt good

but I just I did the same thing where I bought a ton of clothes that I was going

to fit into at the end but the thing is you don't know where this journeys gonna

lead you you don't know what you're gonna look like at the end of this

journey so for example if I bought a size three pair of jeans guess what

after seven eight months I still wouldn't fit into this ice through

because my legs are still big so you you can't really do that I would suggest to

not buy the future weight loss clothes when you're starting and I would just

keep what you have right now that you fit into and then as you lose weight

maybe buy like one or two pieces but just know that those one or two pieces

you're gonna have to throw it again at the end because they're still not gonna

fit you so overall my advice is try not to buy a lot of clothes when you were

losing weight try to just stay with what you're at right now try not to waste a

lot of money because in the end you're just you're just spending money for

absolutely nothing because weight loss is it's something that's up and down and

I would suggest you buy clothing after you have lost all your weight how do you

deal with soreness I have started CrossFit a few months back and I love it

but I noticed that when I go very hard after a workout it takes me a few days

to recuperate and go back to working out I really hate this because I feel like I

should be working out every day if possible so my take on that is soreness

is completely normal and what I have learned is soreness doesn't necessarily

mean like a lot of people think oh yeah I'm sore you know like I said such a

workout this is awesome yes soreness can be a sign of that but soreness can also

be a sign if you're doing something wrong

so be very cautious with that make sure your forms are right especially if you

guys are doing weight lifting because soreness can be different things just

because your muscles are so or you know especially if your bones are

story you need to you need to be careful with that I I've had problems with my

lower back I think it's because in the past certain exercises I wasn't keeping

it fully straight and I was kind of crunching over or I was dipping it too

much at the back and it really caused a lot of back problems for me but now I'm

okay I always make sure that when I'm sitting down and has like I really

actually bought a really firm pillow to sit behind me because it's very

important to keep your back straight in your posture nice and straight it's not

good to be stiff like you shouldn't be like sitting like this but allow your

back to be nice and straight so with the soreness and doing it's amazing that

you're doing Crossfit CrossFit is very very like it's amazing it's like a wide

exercise where it works a lot of parts of your body you can actually consider

an intense hip workout so it's because it's so intense though I would say to

not be doing this like I know you mentioned you should be doing it every

day I don't think that there's any workout in the entire world that you

should be doing every single day I just I don't believe in then I I actually

struggle with balance I really do in my life in general I'm not a balance person

I'm either this or on this so but when it has come to weight loss it has forced

me to become a balanced person you need to have balance so if your body is so

sore and you're doing crossfit CrossFit is very very overall body intense it is

so intense so if you're doing that every single day and your body is sore your

body is telling you you need to take it and I did CrossFit I'll just tell you

what I would do if I did CrossFit today I would not be doing crossfit tomorrow I

just would not you need to give your body a rest again long-term goal

short-term goal the short-term goal makes you stay over here the long-term

goal makes you keep climbing up and up and up that's the long-term goal so if I

were to do CrossFit every single day right by the end of the week my body

would be like oh my god like I literally would feel dead how would you have the

energy to enjoy some part of you how would you have energy to work how

would you have the energy to want to cook like it is it's sowing I don't

think a lot people know across that like it's very intense that I fully

understand why you were experiencing sort of I don't do CrossFit but I know

what it takes and it is really really intense so I personally don't think that

you need to be doing it every single day this soreness is completely normal

you can look up a couple revenues when you have muscle soreness but it is it is

normal but again you might be so sore because you have been doing it leg back

to back to back to back and what you shouldn't be doing I really don't think

you should be that's just my advice in my opinion and

I don't work my arms let's say for a couple days and then I go back and

really work them out my my muscles are so in the next day but that's completely

normal but it's like especially when you're starting and you haven't done

weightlifting you will get some intense soreness do not be afraid about that but

it's when you are when you keep doing the same exercise a week at the weekend

you're experiencing a weird soreness that's very abnormal you definitely need

to ask yourself am i doing the form right and everything so I think my

overall advice about the whole soreness and the CrossFit is try not to tell

yourself you need to do every single day because it sounds like you're pressuring

yourself and if you love it great it's awesome that you love it but doing it

every single day there's just no balance there I think you need to take a break

from it and maybe put something else into your workout because I just think

it's too many times for someone I wouldn't even say to do weightlifting

every single day and I would not say to do CrossFit every single day so

hopefully that helps a little bit so the second part of this question is I have a

full-time job and two kids and my only time to work out is 5:30 a.m.

how do you stay committed so early love love your videos as well I just keep

doing more thank you so with the kids and the job so obviously I'm not a mom

so I can't I can't really say you know my my view on that because I don't know

what it's like I have in the past after going to a

nine-to-five in coming home and going to the gym and then coming home again up to

the gym and having to cook I applied to myself many times like you moms out

there that have kids go to work and me turn to the gym I just want to take a

couple of seconds to just let you guys know I have much respect for you like

much much respect for you because I said to myself many times how would I do this

with a child like it is it's it's a lot of work but honestly I I give it to you

women seriously like because I don't know how I am exhausted when I had a

night to fire oh my god I would go to the gym I would be there at 5:30 and

then you come home it's like no actually I was leave around like six something

seven you get home it's almost 8 o'clock if I didn't have my meal cooked I would

have to cook my meal and then after cooking your meal by the time you sit

down in front of a cute computer trying to watch my show

it'd be like 9 something and and I'm like ok and in between that well first

before cooking I would shower and then I would go cook and I'm just like oh my

god like if I'm eating at 9:00 and I'm single and I don't have children these

mothers like wow like you guys have to prepare everything before so honestly

kudos to you guys I haven't much respect to you guys for that

but if I had kids from what I'm thinking about what I went through being single

and not having them I honestly think it's all about time management you have

to have a plan you have to suck if your only time is 5:30 a.m. it sounds like I

don't know if you can I don't know if you can make it to the gym at 5:30 a.m.

but if you can only do it at home then you can only do it at home I mean at the

end of the day let's just be completely realistic here if you want to lose

weight you have to find the time to work out no matter how many kids you have or

how crazy your life is you have to make the time so I'm actually really proud

that you're asking the question because that means that you do want to make the

time and you're just trying to figure out how so that's really good um but I

think that if your only time to work out is 5:38 me

you can do with at home workout before you go off to work and maybe pre pack

everything and fix everything for the kids to make before maybe and I don't

know how busy I'm pretty sure weekends are busy but maybe you know if you have

a husband or someone that can help you a friend or a family member can just take

them for an hour on the weekend and you can go to the gym take that hour to

yourself and that kind of should be your time to just get a break from the kids

too and just focus on yourself for that hour that's all you need you need an

hour I don't want you guys to think that you guys need to like you know do two to

three hours at one time try not to put that all into one day because I think

that's just overwhelming yourself meal prepping is amazing especially if you

have a family again I'm single and it helps me a lot I can only imagine if I

the family I'd be like kids are meal prep kids mom prep pizza it's awesome

meal prep is awesome like mom what do we have in today pasta I'm you about that I

think meal prepping will help you a lot because meal prepping once it's done

that that will take away the type of you having to cook dinner all the time so

hopefully maybe you can slot in that time there too to kind of get a workout

in and there's a lot of things like after dinner if the kids are playing or

something if you have like a TV room or a place where you could maybe even just

watch like a Zumba video or you get a couple of weights and just do a little

bit of like weights there maybe the kids can join you in something that maybe you

can turn into like a family thing so I mean again that's probably my best

advice especially when it comes to kids in our really crazy lifestyle for me it

was all about time management and trying to just find that little slot that you

can just stick in that workout okay this question is very very good so it says

how do you resist sugary cravings when trying to be healthy so sugary cravings

funny enough I'm not really a sugary kind of girl but I do have to have my

sugary stuff so definitely when it's the time in the month I

I am a sugary mess at that point and always I've always been actually very

mindful of a more healthier option even when I was younger I'm like what is a

healthier option of that when I would go to school like my sister would take like

fruit roll-up to school bunch of bulls bologna sandwiches and I'm just like I

don't want to you need that stuff like I honestly if that stuff just made me want

to like vomit would take like the veggies was like dip and stuff my valet

I don't know I've always just had like health at the back of my mind like

always a healthier option so even when it comes to sugar yeah sometimes I want

that cake and I just don't care if it's like a healthy you know vegan cake or if

it's you know gluten-free or if it doesn't have this and doesn't have that

sometimes I don't care I just want that cake like or I want that Baskin Robbins

sugary craving is very important again this goes back to not depriving yourself

you are in a weight loss journey like I am I

rarely like rate as I I don't even think I do deprive myself I don't deprive

myself I really don't because I realized very quickly that like I think about it

if the times before when I die in it and I'd all his weight loss things it might

deprive myself then and I do get a quarter of the progress I had this time

around when I didn't define myself why would I deprive myself like it just

sometimes you have to sit down and ask yourself like even if you might have to

use me as an example honestly do that like say to yourself ok well this stuff

ever have like sugary sides yeah she does and she's lost 30 pounds so I think

we can do this like it's don't think that if you have that sugary thing that

your thirty pounds is gonna go from 30 pounds to 20 it is not going to make any

difference in your progress like what so guess what it didn't do anything it's

not going to do a single thing because you have consumed what you need to lose

weight based on how much you're working on like a lot of people don't understand

it and I know the reason why they don't get it is

because it sounds too good to be true let's say I want like a piece of

chocolate or something I'm not really a chocolate fan and for me when it comes

to sugar I don't I can't consume too much of it because I don't like that

overwhelming sugary sort of taste so it bothers me but for those of you who are

sugar lovers because Amy is a sugar lover and I would suggest to have that

thing that you were craving but if you want to you can look for a healthier

alternative so all fine like protein snacks that are super sweet like those

cake ones that I showed you guys I could link a couple below for you guys to give

you best some suggestions for example for me a healthier alternative that I

eat are quinoa cookies i buy these double chocolate quinoa cookies and

they're 80 calories each so from me they're like a little bit high in

calorie but for me one is enough because they're so rich so something like that

it's a more healthier alternative and for me it kills my sugar cravings the

quinoa cookies all have the kind bars I love with bars to thir another really

good sure sort of treat for yourself but when it comes to like the bad sugary

stuff I would say to half of every once in a while I love a good peanut butter

cookie and sometimes I will go get you know I guess the thought version you can

say of peanut butter cookies actually I buy peanut butter cookies from from the

grocery store and they're also a healthier alternative but again if

you're looking for like the I like to call them the dirty sugar sweets if you

are craving some of them honestly I would say half of them keep it within

your calorie so if you are supposed to be having 50 metric iies in a day keep

it within the 1,500 calories if you are to go over sometimes honestly again

don't deprive yourself don't punish yourself for doing that it's fine your

progress is gonna go down by like point one sometimes my progress is not even

affected when I overeat some days so with the sugary sweets if you are a

sugar person what I would suggest is if you're gonna have them option find

healthier alternatives because you don't want to be having too much of the dirty

sure sweet but sometimes like I said like I

tara misu I love a good peanut butter cookie I love cheesecake if I'm gonna

have those I'm gonna have the dirty one so you know they mean so and I do that

every once in a while I'm not doing that every single week every two weeks every

three weeks like I'm doing that maybe I don't know I would say like every

sometimes once a month sometimes every couple months I'll really depends like

if I'm going out for dinner and we'll have that dessert like enjoy your L for

dinner don't deprive yourself this next question is from Gabrielle Thank You

Brielle so the question says I was wondering how do you stay on track and

motivated with weight loss and what are your favorite fat burning sweated out

workouts I'm currently trying to loose a hundred pounds and I think I'm already

10 pounds down whoo I really want to put in the effort and push for my goal xoxo

thank you very very good question so it kind of goes back to the whole motivated

thing but the way that I stay on track is to I like to ask myself okay so what

is going to be like this example this is for someone who's starting off their

journey I like to kind of pre plan I've always been a planner so I kind of tell

myself okay am I going to go to the gym you know Monday Tuesday Wednesday or am

I going to go Monday Wednesday Friday or I like to think I find in the winter I'm

doing like two times a week because number one it's a lot harder to go to

the gym in the winter I'm not going to sit here and lie to you it is a lot

harder it's been a lot harder for me but I definitely would say to have a plan

when you're going to work out it helps you stay on track because you know on

that day you're going to go to the gym so fat burning and sweat it out workouts

so fat burning funny enough a lot of people a lot of women especially again

like I mentioned in my last video they think that weight lifting is going to

bulk you up weight lifting is actually going to shed a ton of fat I have done

in my entire weight loss journey so much more weight lifting than any other

workout any any any other workout people think that when you're weightlifting all

you're doing is like pumping so they think that you're actually like rowing

you don't I'm saying well over time muscles gonna grow but especially if

you're on a calorie deficit to lose weight it's actually very very hard to

bulb like it's just science you can't build a muscle when you're not eating

enough for it to bulk up and especially as women it's not it's not possible for

us to like bulk up like that it's just not it's science it's in our DNA it's

just not possible so if that's your fear regarding weight lifting just erase that

fear cuz it's not no matter how much you weigh it doesn't matter if you weigh 100

200 300 400 pounds it doesn't matter weightlifting I would recommend for

everybody and I'm not talking like weight lifting where you have like a

barbell and you're doing like 300 you're pushing 300 pounds but I'm talking about

any weight lifting grabbing a pair of 10 weeks and leg lifting your arms like

this like starting off slow you don't have to don't think of weightlifting as

something where you see this massive guy with like bulging muscles and he's

lifting up 200 pounds don't think of it just think of starting off slowly even

if you're starting off with 5 pounds and you know working your way up slowly

that's what it's about it's just about progress so another good fat burning is

hip workouts so using a lot of resistance bands doing a lot of Sprint's

skip rope a lot of like box jump stuff like that like a lot of hit workouts are

very good for fat burning as well but in order to tone and stay nice and tight as

possible you do want to do mostly weight lifting I will I will never sit here and

say to you guys cardio is the way to go for weight like for weight loss I'm just

never gonna sit here and say that to you guys I'm always gonna be Pro you know

weightlifting and pro hit and yell a little bit of cardio is fine I just want

to say congratulations on losing the 10 pounds cuz I know although you're

thinking yourself well I have a long way to go yeah but that long way has already

started you've already progressed you have

already touched that goal a little bit next question is how do you continue to

work out and avoid those cravings on those tired days or even weeks

so cravings kind of go a little bit of with the sugary question that I answer

for you guys cravings are something so here's my view on cravings when I'm

creating something I ask myself number one how bad is my craving because

sometimes it's just your mind playing with you honestly like sometimes just

sipping some water and you'll get over it and that's just my honest opinion but

sometimes I have that craving I can't stop thinking about for maybe one or two

days when I had that craving very simple I have it I eat it i devour it I have

the entire thing you know why because again you do not want to deprive

yourself as soon as you took pride yourself that's when you're creating an

issue because you don't want to have a pattern of depriving yourself all the

time but when you're having those cravings you just don't want to save

yourself no no no no I can't have it I can't because it's bad I cannot have

that thing what you're doing is you're creating a baaad relationship between

you and those cravings and now you're creating a bad relationship between you

and food and when you start to do that today it's the small but that problem

starts to grow and grow and grow and it becomes a massive massive problem and

what happens is let's say so let's think about what's worse okay you're craving

I'm just gonna use an example something I crave like put away crave to be honest

yeah here's a good example I've been craving a poutine for a long time from 1

to 10 the craving I would say is like a - like I'm able to deal with it so I

haven't had the poutine but if I didn't stop thinking about that poutine I would

have a poutine and maybe I'll have it in the next month maybe I'm gonna have it

tomorrow I don't know but I'm only going to have it when it's worth it

let's just say my craving was a poutine ok I really want this poutine so tell me

what's worse so I have this craving and I'm like no no no no let's just hide

that craving we don't want it so this is what's gonna happen

that craving let's just say it's not gonna go away because we're talking

about little real cravings so the cravings not going away right so it's

still there tomorrow this is the poutine you're like no no no no no no you throw

it away the next day I want that poutine you know what happens you're like I'm

gonna have to cookie because I can't have the poutine

with the cookies only 200 calories okay an hour passes by I'm gonna have a

couple of those chips because those chips are better than the poutine by the

time you do that three or four times you could have just had the poutine or

there's the second scenario there's there's the other we're gonna call it

the B person so option B is you don't have anything at all so let's say you

don't even have that chocolate chip cookie or you don't even have those

chips you completely ignore the cream in a couple days passed by and you're like

oh my god like you're starting to go nuts you were starting to go nuts and

now your creamy has like but comes and bigger and bigger and bigger now you're

causing issues for yourself when you could have just had a poutine like it's

fine to have food in it and it's fine if you go over that one day out of your

journey or those couple days that have a couple months it's honestly not going to

kill you you have just have to tell yourself okay today I'm going over so my

progress is gonna be maybe like 0.1 backed-up or maybe my progress is not

even gonna be affected but my invoice on cravings is if it's a very very strong

craving and you wanted my advice have it absolutely have it I know that's like

your dream answer but it's the truth it's not just the dream answer is the

honest truth you want a couple of slices of pizza have a couple of size of the

pieces tonight like it's not going to kill you but you know you can't have it

next week right and you know you can't have it tomorrow again no you can't have

it three days from now again you've had your craving so it's again

it's all about balance and it's all about disciplining yourself because

that's what this entire weight loss progress has been for me as discipline

and balance okay so the next question is it's a hi Stephanie I love your videos

thank you you are so beautiful my question is what exercise should I do

with the gym that mainly focuses on losing belly fat

I have lost 54 pounds in the past 9:1 so far you go girl and I'm still

working towards my goal love you thank you so much so this is a very good

question because I touched it in my last video the truth about doing specific

workouts to target certain areas of your body so for example she's opting to

target her belly fat you can't target weight loss in a certain part of your

body it is impossible it doesn't exist and I know that that's so hard for

people to understand because I was doing like crunches all the time before this

weight loss journey not this one before I was doing it ton of crunches I was

doing a ton of leg sit-ups it's doing a ton of leg push-ups in all this ab

workouts because I thought I would get like a sick back after them but I never

got a six-pack the truth the reason why I'm never got a six-pack was because you

need to lose the fat in order to the six-pack to come out so it's like a

current okay I'm the stomach alright so here's the curtain the curtain is the

fact over the stomach if this is not lost okay let's say you lose it

magically you open the curtain and the six-pack is there so that is why I know

that's like a weird example but that's the only way I can describe it so

basically if you do not lose the fat in front of your stomach

we all have ads like believe it or not we all have asked for those of you who

think you do not have abs you have abs the reason why like a lot of you are

saying oh my god your abs are coming through the reason why mine are coming

through is not because I'm doing belly worker's I kid you not I rarely do

stomach workouts I like I never say to myself today I'm gonna do those and I'm

gonna do this never do this for my stomach never I never say that to myself

so I rarely do them so if you guys think I have them it's not because I'm doing

focused belly workouts it's just not when me as you are working out as you're

a weightlifting regardless if you're doing cardio weight lifting hip workouts

CrossFit whatever you are doing to lose weight I'm tell

that fact from so until that curtain in front of your abs like behind behind by

your summit until you lose this front part you will never see apps coming

through no matter what workout so unfortunately my answer to your question

is you have to just keep going until your body chooses to loose it back near

your stomach area until that happens it might come off your arms first my arms

I'm like I struggle to lose weight off of my arms I do way more workouts on my

arms that I do my stomach and you guys tell me I have a ton of apps on my

stomach I'm just like think this is just it's proof that it just doesn't work

that way like I swear to God I do a ton of them where I'm pulling up my body

pulling pulling pulling and I'm like all the harms of all this weight like I

still have that in my mind that I think that fast gonna come off which is

completely normal you're human right but I am a living proof example that the fat

will not come off of your stomach by just doing belly exercises it's just

scientifically proven to not be true so unfortunately you just have to keep

going at it I mean you've lost 54 pounds so if you just keep going like you have

done amazing so far like honestly amazing keep going and you will see that

stomach turn into something that you never thought it would be believe me

because I'm going through that right now the next question is who do you watch on

YouTube for weight loss and how often do or the

gym oh we can walk your dog number one I don't walk my dog my dog isn't inside

dog I never walk him not gonna lie to you guys I just I don't want my dog I go

to the gym currently in the winter around two times a week it's a lot

harder to go to the gym in the winter you guys like it's it's much harder to

get yourself clapping to just to go so right now I'm going like twice a week

normally I go three times a week around the spring and summertime I'm going to

watch on YouTube for weight loss to be honest with you guys um I don't watch

too many YouTube videos I get more inspired by so funny because I just

opened up my Instagram to get his name and he popped right up on my thing so

SIA I love him so outside fitness I love

this guy he is everything that I preach about when it comes to weight loss and

everything he posts I'm like it's like payment to you because honestly he just

he does everything so his name is Jordan SIA I'll put his name right here and you

guys just have to listen to the things he has to say because I'm sorry it's

just awesome he actually has a YouTube channel that you guys can watch all his

stuff on there but I just watched him on Instagram but again he gets really

really amazing advice he's all about the realistic way of losing weight and a

realistic lifestyle he's definitely he's a trainer as well

but I just love what he promotes I love what he preaches about and it's just

it's everything that I believe in so make sure you guys check him out this

next question was really good I'm actually really excited to help and talk

about this one I recently lost my job is there any tips that you have on things

that I can buy to bulk and still eat healthy even when I'm cooking and some

cheaper alternatives I love this question because I first off I can only

imagine how hard it is to you know to lose your job because now you think okay

great I'm on this weight-loss journey how am I supposed to do this now

so my tips I even actually do this right now but I suggest is to buy this stuff

that you can make a ton of meals with us actually that's what I do right now to

save money I'll buy maybe two stalks of broccoli and I know I can do a stir-fry

that with that I know I can do my my side for my salmon with that I can do it

as a side of a chicken I know I can do roasted veggies with basically anything

I know I can make a veggie soup you can make a massive pot so that one sees you

a ton of money because it's all based on a lot of canned foods and canned foods

are really really inexpensive to buy I mean I pick up at my grocery store a can

of corn for under a dollar you don't mean if you find it one still

for $0.99 how awesome is that right so that soup is actually very very good

to save a lot of money because you get a massive pot and you just put them into a

bunch of different containers or one big container keep it in the fridge

for me up to one week or put them in different containers and put them in the

freezer and only keep some of them out in the fridge and then remove those from

the freezer so definitely Neill prepping I would say

is my number one meal saving tip the other thing again I will buy a whole

thing of romaine lettuce and I know I can do like six salads with that one

thing of romaine lettuce I buy canned chopped black olives already sliced up I

pour that on top a little bit if you buy one bag of onions you can do so many

different things but you can put those in the soup you can put that inside of

your salads you can use that as a side when you're doing anything basically so

I would say buy a lot of canned foods because you can make a lot of soups

without a lot of size a lot of salads with time buy a lot of veggies that come

in like a stock where you don't want to waste it before it goes bad so you can

use for a different meals try stick to drinking water instead of buying any

fruit drinks or any cans and stuff like that because it's definitely not healthy

to be eating you know any sodas and stuff like that

when it comes to fruits fruits can be super expensive I think that's why a lot

of people say you know eating healthy is very expensive when it honestly I've

actually calculated before I'm like it's not it's actually more expected to go

out and eat all the time it really adds up at the end of the

month I think that fruits are extremely expensive so my suggestion is it's to

get a bag of frozen fruits you can do smoothies with those you can do water

that's infused with fruit with those so those things are really good to buy

because one they're in bulk and you can freeze them into a ton of things with

those when you buy fresh fruits you are definitely spending a lot more money

instead of buying that bag of frozen foods for $6.99 one little case of

blueberries is gonna cost you $4.99 so to me that's sometimes I'm like $4.99

for backup blueberries so those are kind of my tips that you can use for eating

healthy so I hope that helps the next question is what is your goal weight and

she said you look amazing I love in your videos oh thank you so my goal

weight um I don't like to have a goal weight or number but I will answer the

question anyway I think that in my mind my goal weight is going to be around 120

to 125 and I have to say I never ever thought I would have said that let

someone that told me your goal weight it's gonna be 120 to 125

I'd be like Susan are you okay like seriously I would have honestly called

you crazy because when I think of one like I know what I would look like at

120 125 and I'd be like like I I don't I don't want to look like a carrot you

know like I don't wanna I want to have shape I want to have you know Tony I

want to have a little bit of muscle showing so I just never thought I would

see that number but I know what I am now and I can't really say a hundred thirty

pounds cuz that's not far off and what I am now and I'm definitely not where I

want to be right now so I'm not really at my end goal I have a long way to go

so I definitely think like 120 to 125 I don't even think 125 and I do it based

on what I look like right now I say when I'm like really done and I have my body

that I want go on like convenience for a while see how I like living with my body

because I don't want to make a rush mother's decision and then once I'm off

maintenance for a little bit I'm gonna be going on a mini bulk because I want

to build certain parts of my body definitely wanna build my butt a little

bit more I don't want to be building my arms but again you don't really have

much choice like when you're building you can do you have to be careful

because doing a lot of buck workouts can also build your legs too at the same

time so you have to you have to research at that point but definitely I think my

goal weights gonna be around sort of that range the next question is what is

your biggest struggle during your journey and how come you overcome it so

funny enough a lot of people would probably say like eating less you know

but for me I definitely that was a struggle only I would say for the first

couple weeks in my my weight loss journey but now I'm so used to eating

1,500 calories some days I'm like I'm at 1,100 calories

the next day my 1213 some days I'm 17 you know what I'm saying so I I wouldn't

call that a stroller that's just something everybody's gonna deal with

when they're on a deficit I think my number one struggle has been me being so

hard on myself that's something that I have definitely struggled with I talked

about at my video too I always think I'm never progressing enough I am my biggest

critic with everything when it comes to my work when it comes to the way I dress

when it comes to everything my hair my makeup everything I'm just I've always

been my biggest critic I'm a perfectionist so I think in my

weight-loss journey when I saw that like let's say after four months if I was

losing like a pound and a half a week and now was on the losing one I'm like

oh my god like this bit like it's the end of the world the world's ending like

you know what my progress doesn't matter anymore but you have to again I

mentioned how my sister would help me a lot with that and say like look back at

photos look back at the actual like numbers be logical and say to yourself

are you progressing and I just realized that we love to something it's it's

literally like a roller coaster the ones that go up and down that's exactly what

weight-loss journey is like you if you're expecting weight loss to be like

this and your perfectionist like me because that's exactly what we want more

a professional we want everything to just go perfectly all the time but it's

not that's just not how weight-loss goal is your body is doing so many different

things that you just do not comprehend or understand like you just don't so at

the end of the day I definitely think that that has been my struggle overall

it's something I still struggle with I'm like I might still progressing like

enough you know like and I have to just for me what has helped me overcome it is

like I mentioned take a ton of photos take photos of every single way that you

weigh yourself take photos of your fat percentage how much water you're

drinking take photos of the actual weight and number if your progress is

not what you really were hoping for is it because you worked out less this week

is it because you went over and you ate a little bit too much so my advice is to

not be sore yourself honestly when you're in a

weight loss journey again focus on the highroad the long-term solution never

focus on the sky which is the short-term because this is where it leaves you this

is exactly where leaves you but who wants to be like this you want to be

going up and up and up and up like you want to be progressing you want to reach

goals so I definitely think that that's that's something I definitely have

struggled with but you have to just remember to just pop yourself on the

back and be like you know I have to see myself step you're fine you have

progressed so much you've lost like over 30 pounds like you're doing amazing you

know look at everything you've accomplished you have learned from your

past mistakes you know you've already you've already grown by doing that

you've already learned something new so by overcoming that I just feel much

better and I just have to say to myself you're doing great and just remind

yourself of your progress this next question says my question is what

changes have you experienced in your body after losing 30 pounds you look or

just love you thank you very much um changes that I've experienced in my body

so I guess physically um actually physically and other stuff too like

health-wise so I've always had massive bloating issues like I'm I was always

constantly constant loading I was clearly consuming way too much sugar

before like I was having a ton of those Starbucks matcha latte drinks and those

have once I realized how much sure those had I'm like like step up that's what

your bloated like hello look so definitely my bloating has come down I

would definitely say because I've done a lot of research on it I've learned a lot

from him to the site at Fitness he definitely he posts something about you

know what to avoid when you have bloating issues and why you were

actually bloated so salt is definitely something that makes me blue sugar makes

me glow so as I try to take those out and milk products milk products

definitely they have I've lowered my milk by a lot

I rarely really consume milk only if I'm going on like a breakfast place where

I'm going to dinner and I want a coffee at the end of my meal and like

Franklin's they're gonna give me milk they won't give me you know almond milk

but that's okay that's just like a little bit and I find that I love my

coffee too much to let it go for a little bit of milk so I'll do that but

at home like I've even told my family on the corner we're not considering milk

but I've made this decision for us and we're just not doing it and luckily like

my mom just goes along with it and we're just all consuming almond milk now so

definitely no products have helped me like when I lower them I don't get us

bloated sodium when I avoid it as much as I can I don't get as much bloated

sure when I try to avoid it I don't care as much floated my water has helped me

so much this guy my god is amazing for bloating make me feel skinny physically

wise I've noticed that my arms are one of the last things that are sticking

with me now I lost a ton of weight on them in the beginning but now they're

slowing down my stomach I have lost a ton I had a large amount of love handles

on my two sides those were like one of the first things that went down and I've

noticed that my waist is a lot more cinched a lot more like oh my god when I

don't look at pictures on my stomach I'm just like oh I can't believe that like

wow you see that your body just changes and it's just the most amazing thing and

it's so exciting I've noticed that my legs look a lot more tone they still are

pretty big because I do have big legs but my legs for a longer toned my feet

have shrunk the feet have gone down in entire size all of my shoes in my closet

are sy7 I hope you guys know they do not fit me like they do not fit me my ring

size I was an 8 before on the 7 now like if I put a size 8 you know just whoop

it'll just fly right off my face has slimmed down a ton when I gained weight

this is the first place it goes to like you think it's my stomach it's not it's

my face even like what I am bloated I can feel like underneath here oh my god

I just feel it I'm like all great I'm bloated

so I've seen a lot of progress on my stomach my chest has gone down a lot

I believe it or not you guys could used to be a Dean yeah I used to have a

decent stress and now I'm like in a B yeah so we lost a lot in that area I

lost a ton of back fat on the back tournament oh my god I Thomas actually

my point where I was like I've had enough like I've had enough like I would

be walking and I felt it like touch each other I've never had that and I'm like

no no no no like this is this is the sausage stop so I have lost a ton and I

just feel so much lighter and I just feel so much better about myself so

that's something my body fat it was in the high 40s before when I very first

started and now it's at 30% so my body fat has gone down a lot so those would

like the major changes that I have felt in my body for sure how long has your

entire process taken so my progress is definitely not done or the process is

definitely not done I started in January and it is now December so we're almost

into it a year at the end of this January coming up it will be any a year

if I started around 165 and now I'm like 135 so that goes to show you I've lost

like 30 pounds you definitely need to understand that this is a long long

journey it's not something like I did not lose 30 pounds in 3 months I didn't

lose it in six months you know anything like it's taking me a while so I've been

on a deficit for a year and I've heard a lot of stories where girls say that

their entire progress is taken like two and a half years and I'm just like like

in the beginning like no you've got to be kidding me

but guys that's how long it takes like if to be honest people someone said to

me it's gonna take you three years to get your dream body but you'll be good

after that like you we you'll be said you'll be used to

amazing lifestyle you'll be good I'm like okay I'll take that deal I don't

want to take the deal that that's six months and then I just have this amazing

body because that's six months I give it to you is a deprived person it's a

person that has rushed the process which means the body is probably all messed up

by the time she reaches her her dream body but you can't most people that do

get their dream body at six months they've just lost a ton of fat by doing

a lot of cardio but it's not it's not about the short term it is about the

long term amazing journey that you're going through you know what I mean I

would rather a lot of people say you know nothing comes without hard work you

know and nothing comes in a short amount of time it takes a while what was the

turning point that made you decide on this healthy journey so I mentioned a

little bit how I started to see that I was just gaining way too much on my

sides here and I just I couldn't stand that when I was walking they were like

hitting each other like I know it sounds strange but honestly that's what I just

realized like okay you have never had this problem you've never been this bad

like this this is something and it bothers me it just

I had never liked being like that so why would I settle for that you know what I

mean and I think definitely the health issues of my family I was just like you

know like I I don't want to be that you know my family definitely doesn't want

that for me you know so I need to be taking care of myself for sure and I

remember just weighing myself on the scale and being like what happened to

like why are you okay with being at this point you don't even like are you happy

and after asking myself that I was like no like I'm not happy you know to me and

I'm wearing the Schafer's but I can become this skinnier body but when

you're truly happy with yourself why are you wearing shapers okay so the last

question of our Q&A is how did you start exercising did you start off weight

training or did you do cardio at first also what were your meals like in the

beginning you have come so far and looked amazing Paola Paola Paola I hate

when I mispronounce someone's name I really hope I'm pronouncing your name

right is it Paola or Paola so really stuff from the beginning I

would feel like the first maybe two days I was like okay let's do some treadmill

but I quickly realized you know like especially with my sister's journey to

and her being on it I was like no like I just need to try this weightlifting

thing like I need to I need to just get rid of all the myths that are in my mind

about me bulking up or something and I just need to go do it and I am so happy

that I did you guys if I didn't know I do weightlifting you guys and gave it

like an honest chance I would not be sharing with my progress today I just

would not have the same progress hit workouts to me I don't really consider

cardio mostly like going on the treadmill doing jogging walking some

spreads elliptical doing the bike like a lot of that is cardio to me and walking

in general but hip workouts is just more intensified and you actually use more

equipment resistance bands you can rely like box jumps use like a lot of

different things you can even use like weights to actually do a lot of Hill

workouts and jump rope and stuff like that so I like doing some hint as well

because I like that sort of active movement it kind of reminds me of my

Zumba - I need you to start doing them because I really love it and I just like

I feel like I'm always saying to myself you know what's cardio just kind of stay

away from it but I think that you do need to include parts of what you love

even though it's not like the best workout but again you don't want to turn

this into like this this thing where you're like I need to do the best things

for myself you know you need to be enjoying yourself at the end of the day

I'm and with my meals in the beginning they were definitely I would say smaller

in the beginning because you're you know you're fresh into this thing so you're

like okay I need to have that 4 ounce of salmon and that you know one cup of rice

and you know the certain amount of veggies you know and now I'm a little

bit more generous when it comes to my plates because in the very beginning I

wasn't eating the proper amount of house I was supposed to consume I think it was

eating around 1200 and when I researched I was like okay when you weight lifts

you can't be eating like a fat low you know you can

but just don't expect yourself to be like lifting that heavy and you know

week by week keep lifting and happier and heavier just you just can't really

do that your body's not gonna be able to take it so I definitely will say that in

the beginning my portions were a little bit smaller because my calorie intake

and my deficit was a little bit more severe than it is right now definitely

we will say that my meals in the beginning were a lot more like I cannot

have any process stuff I was definitely more harder on myself I wouldn't allow

much room for like those sugary cravings but again because I was at the beginning

of my journey there's so much to learn and I didn't know all the things that I

know today but today I know like when you're creating something habit when you

want something sweet have it you know like there's nothing wrong with that so

hopefully that helps answer your question

ok BAE's so that is the end of our Q&A a thank you to all of you who sent in your

questions and hopefully I helped you guys up a little bit with your weight

loss journey and if you guys want to become a part of my notification squad

How To Prepare For The Massive Energetic Shift In January 2018 - Duration: 4:14.

How To Prepare For The Massive Energetic Shift In January 2018

Massive energy shift starting in January, here are 7 ways to prepare for it.

Quantum physics states that everything is made up of empty space and energy and this

is what makes up reality.

Energy shifts typically happen after there has been some physical change made to the

ethereal world.

This means any occurrence or event in space is able to change the vibrational frequencies

on Earth.

Heading into 2018 huge amounts of energy are going to cause a huge shift in energy and

here is how you can get ready for it.

1.

Use Natural Smudge Cleaning Herbs

Some ingredients and natural herbs are cleansing and purifying.

Smudging the house with cleansing herbs, such as burning sage, will help to remove all negative

energy that accumulated over the last year.

Along with this, it will help to give the home a refresh, and this means a new year

and a new and clean start.

2.

Take Up Yoga

When negative energy has been cleaned from home, the same negative energy can be cleansed

from the body.

One way of cleansing the mind and body of negative energy is by practicing yoga.

Yoga will stretch out all the tendons and muscles, and this means that tension disappears

along with any negativity.

Yoga is a superb way to start off the New Year and to get ready for the energy shift.

3.

Listen To Your Intuition

Intuition is called the language of the universe, and this is what sets people apart from all

other animals on the planet.

People can tune into intuitive senses in their mind and get an understanding of what the

universe is telling them.

Some people call intuition a gut feeling, and it can pay to listen to it and follow

it.

4.

Open Up The Mind

Open up the mind and tell yourself that you will remain more open-minded throughout the

year.

By doing so, it is possible to fully embrace the positive changes that come your way, and

this is something that is required for making spiritual growth.

By opening up the mind the horizons can be broadened, so leave your comfort zone behind

and open up the mind.

5.

Take Up Meditation

Meditating is one way of cleansing the body and ridding yourself of all your negative

energy.

Meditation also allows the person to put their focus on their inner self and to be aware

of the important things in life.

Meditating also helps people to prepare for the energetic shift as it brings about and

raises the bodys own vibrational states.

In short when practicing the art of meditation one is aware of all thoughts and feelings

and they are never right or wrong.

Simply watch them and then move with them and when watching the person then starts to

understand the whole movement of feeling and thought and out of the awareness of oneself

comes silence.

6.

Be Totally Aware

Try being aware of whatever is around you at present and this applies to the Earth,

memories, your life and friends.

Become aware that energy is flooding the planet around your body and be aware that just being

aware can help to change your life.

Calm down and stop being too busy and start to pay attention.

7.

Try Astral Projection

Try astral projection and give yourself the time to just soak up all the positive energy

around you.

This is the separation of your physical body and your spiritual one.

Astral projection gives you a new insight into your life and the purpose that one should

be fulfilling.

TRUTHFULLY TRISHA DELETES HER CHANNEL - Duration: 4:47.

Hey bitches so you guys asked for it, I'm giving it to you

It's gonna be a truthfully Trisha video if you don't know who truthfully Trisha is she's basically somebody who has?

made a career on YouTube from live-streaming and doing outrageous things and

Has made accusations?

Against people people have made accusations against her she has allegedly been arrested twice in the past few months because of cyber stalking and bullying

And she was on dr. Phil. That's what she's best known for is being on dr.

Phil and basically having a freakout on there and being confronted by somebody who in my opinion

Had nothing to do with the situation that was going on with her

Yeah, I think that lady was just there because she wanted to be on television. That's just my opinion

But truthfully Trisha has said that she has left the drama scene on YouTube and for good reason if she has allegedly

been arrested twice in the past few months because

It's for cyber stalking and bullying and all that kind of stuff, and that's just not a good look

And I'm sure that the judge was probably like

you know

you can't be on the Internet until you have a court and all that kind of stuff which I don't know anything about that I

Don't know anything about the case not my business. I'm sure there are people out there

That'll tell you all fucking about it because there are literally people on YouTube that eat sleep and drink

truthfully

Trisha like they have made careers out of coming onto YouTube and spending eight hours a night

In case you guys didn't know when you guys do a live hangout you have eight hours

And then it basically kicks you off

And then you have to start another one so they will go the full time talking about truthfully Trisha

So I don't know if she finds that flattering. I don't know if she finds an annoying I mean

It is what it is, but she has said that she is leaving the drama altogether deleted her drama channel which was X

Oh, Trisha I believe and I guess it's gone. I mean I tried to look it up

I don't know maybe I'm clogged

But I can't find it and she basically said in a video that she wants nothing to do with the drama - leave her alone

And also she is just going to be doing reviews of makeup shampoos conditioners

All that kind of stuff and that's all fine and good Trisha

And I think that you should get your creative juices flowing like a hundred percent

That's great

But here's why I think that you are not actually gone from the drama scene one

You'll never be gone in these people's minds because any troll account that comes up

They're gonna be like oh. No you know I think that's Trisha, but I'm about it happens all the time like it could be

Literally years from now. They're always gonna think issue. I mean they are fucking

but

but

Something I noticed is your hangouts used to do very good because you know what you're like Amy Slayton you have a lot of people

hate watching you you have people that are just there to basically tell you to go fuck yourself at the end of the day or

Say something rude to you

Which you know the thing I appreciate about Trisha you guys is that she can take it does she fire back?

Yes, and this is in no way me like endorsing her. This is no way me like saying

Oh, I like her, and I support everything she does on YouTube no no no no no no no

I'm just telling you all like fucking this so her Hangouts used to do very good

they would have sometimes upwards of 2,000 views up until the video was uploaded to YouTube and then the other views started to come because

Guys people hate watcher as I said people go through her tell her to fuck herself

She's making money off of people's hate like Amy Slayton. I think it's fucking you know what I think it's great

I think it's great the fact that people think that they are sitting there, and they're like

Oh, we're gonna. Tell her we're gonna talk about fuck herself, but at the end of it

She's going home and laughing about it because you're putting money in her pocket

So basically her account allegedly got about ten thousand subscribers

And she did the video on an eating like some cake or something in the car

I'm not exactly sure what the fuck she was eating

But then made the video saying she wants nothing enjoyed the drama and she was gonna delete it as I said um

Her review videos are only getting like

minuscule amount of views I want to say so I don't think that she's gone completely from the drama because

Money talks people want money people want

to at the end of the day not have to worry about what their next move is in life people want to just

Be free almost when it comes to money

And you know she was making pretty good money on YouTube because I mean definitely

More than most people on YouTube that are doing it, so I don't think she's gone from the drama

There's a way you can hide your account on

YouTube but also even if she did fucking delete, it guess what if she makes another one for drama

You're all gonna be there hate me love me for saying it agree with me disagree with me

You're all going to be there. Who watch truthfully Trisha because

You guys want to know what to talk about it also made you a lot of money, I've been today

You know what a lot of you should be thanking her though for being so fucking nutjob crazy and being so out there and so

Bold with what she says because as I said you guys have made careers off it - you guys are

Making money off of her name so good for you

Don't think she's gone from the drama completely if you guys think she's gone from a drama completely

Let me know down below. If you think it's just a big old bullshit scheme

Let me know as well, and I love you guys. I will see you guys all in my next video

Dismissive & Abusive Doctors [CC] // aGirlWithLyme - Duration: 14:59.

[Intro Music. Vincent Tone - New Summits]

Hi guys, in today's video I am going to talk about rude doctors, verbally abusive

doctors and more specifically towards those with Chronic Illnesses. Before we

get into the video please be sure to give this video a thumbs up, please be

sure to subscribe to my channel if you like what I make, and check out my social

media links in the description below so you can follow me on Instagram and

Twitter. I am making this video because I believe things need to change

I don't think doctors should be able to treat their patients a certain way, and

patients should not come out of an exam room or doctors office crying because

the doctor has said something that is verbally abusive and just downright

wrong. I think there needs to be a better code of conduct and patients need to

feel like they can report doctors without being labeled as troublesome

patients. Patients need to be protected from this type of behavior and I don't

believe that is happening. If you have a Chronic Illness or Disability then you

probably know 100% what I am talking about, because I am certain that all of

us with a Chronic Illness and Disability have probably experienced it.

When you have a Chronic Illness or Disability you tend to go to a lot of

doctors appointments, you have no choice, you're sick and you need answers. And

sadly it is actually quite rare to meet a doctor who is very caring, and a doctor

that is compassionate, is patient, and actually listens to their patient.

There is very, very few good doctors left in this world. Most doctors I have

encountered have been very rude, they've been ignorant,

they've been arrogant, they've been dismissive, and they've also been

verbally abusive at times, and sadly this is quite common for many people

with Chronic Illnesses and Disabilities. There are a few different types of

behaviors doctors usually exhibit, and I've kind of put these guys and gals

into different categories based on their behavior.

The first one is dismissive, and this is probably the most common one. This kind

of behavior frequently occurs in ERs, or walk-in clinics, and sometimes even a

specialist. Usually how this goes is you will tell the doctor about your symptoms

and they kind of seem to listen, and you think they are listening. They might

check your weight and do a bit of a physical exam, and go over your medical

records with you. But this is where it turns you sour. If you have cramps, nausea,

or stomach pain they almost always atribute it to constipation, a possible

pregnancy, or just unexplainable pain that you just have to wait it out. If you

are in pain in your body then they just give you the entire - 'think positive',

'ignore the pain', 'enjoy life', 'push through it', 'it can't be that bad',

or to exercise more and don't come back - and don't come back again asking for

pain relief. And then usually within there there's usually a referral to

mental health and not pain management services. And with a lot of other

different symptoms there's a lot of doctors just telling you to just ignore

it and get on with life. They just completely dismiss you. I understand that

your job is hard and they encounter a lot of patients in the run of the day,

they can't always send for tests if they think it's just something common and

simple, but this is also how errors are made. It could turn out to be something

much more serious like appendicitis, or that person who's in Chronic Pain could

be experiencing the worst pain of their life, and then they feel absolutely let

down and even more depressed because of the pain that they're in. So usually

you're sent home and the next day you go to another doctor where they tell you

that whatever you have say a case of appendicitis should have been picked

up on the first visit to the hospital. I think it is also much more common for

women and women of color to be dismissed, and this isn't just me saying this

there's actual study showing that is much more common for

women's pain and their concerns and symptoms to not be believed. The next

type of doctor is the "I can't be bothered" / "I already have my mind made

up about you" doctor. This is a bit worse than the dismissive doctor because these

doctors are usually really, really arrogant a-holes who think they know

absolutely everything. And I think this is kind of split into two separate types of

doctors. The "I can't be bothered" doctor will sometimes I listen to you when you

talk about your symptoms and your concerns, often they will look at your

chart beforehand and read a bit of history before you come in. This is

especially common if you have pain of any kind, and they will usually tell you

that it's all in your head, that your pain is either caused by depression,

anxiety, or you have a psychosomatic illness and you're just - your brain is

basically just making your pain up because you have a mental illness. And

honestly most doctors just say this stuff just to get you out of their hair

quicker. This is one of those diagnosis where if you're a patient that goes to

the hospital a lot and you see of lot of doctors eventually they will label you

with this diagnosis of either depression, having a psychosomatic illness just

to get you out and away, and basically to label you as being a hypochondriac. So

oftentimes they will refer you to mental health, and in my case sometimes your

family doctor won't even tell you if you are going to a psychologist - which has

happened on more than one occasion with me. The "I already have my mind made up about you"

doctor will often do this as well, but usually without even listening to your

symptoms. And I will tell you it's usually men who have done this, they will

read your chart and have their mind made up before you even tell them about your

symptoms. So they'll just slap you with the diagnosis of it's all in your head.

They just want you out quicker. The "I already have my mind made up about

you" doctor will also accuse you of faking your illness. Often they will

say that you're faking being sick for attention, they will send you for a drug

test because they think you're on drugs, they will make sure you get a pregnancy

test done, they will accuse you of being drug-seeker, and they will tell you that

you're wasting everyone's time by coming here. These are all things that I have

gotten from this type of doctor. They will tell you that nothing is wrong with

you and that you're not even sick enough to be in the hospital to be seeing a doctor.

And even on some occasions these type of doctors will outright refuse to see you.

Yeah, so these types of doctors are probably ones that I have the most

experience with because these are the ones I just - I just come across so

many different times. And this type of doctor is why I don't have much trust, or

much faith in doctors. And honestly this is why I avoid going to the emergency

room, or the hospital, or the doctor at all costs. They make you feel like a worthless

piece of subhuman crap. This is also a very problematic type of doctor and I

think one that can really influence the way you think about yourself. When you have a

doctor telling you that the pain you're experiencing is just all in your head,

it's made up, you're faking it for attention - um, then once you get those

things told to you by doctors sometimes you start to doubt yourself, and you

start to wonder - "am I really faking it?", "Am I making this up?", "Could this - is this

even real?" - You go through those sort of thoughts and it does take a while to

kind of realize that you're not making it up, um this is a real illness and not a

psychosomatic illness. Basically these type of doctors had me wondering

whether or not I was actually sick, and they had me doubting my very real

illness and my very real symptoms that were happening to me on a daily basis.

This can and will be a traumatizing experience for many when they encounter

this type of doctor. The next one is the arrogant doctor, or the doctor that

thinks they know everything. This is a type of doctor that will tell you that

it's impossible to get Lyme Disease in Nova Scotia, even though there are many

documented cases. This is also the type of doctor that will

tell you that going for a walk will cure your pain. This is also the type of doctor

that will tell you, you don't need a wheelchair because your pain is not real.

This is also the type of doctor that will tell you that you should be going to

school no matter how bad you feel. This is also the type of doctor that will go

out of their way to force you to do a treatment that you know won't work. This

is also the type of doctor that would tell you that you're not trying hard

enough. This is also the type of doctor that makes

you feel like absolute crap. This is also the type of doctor that is very

problematic for a number of reasons. And this behavior seems to mostly come from

white male doctors. I have experienced this with women as well, and some people of

color but it seems to mostly be from white males.

I hate arrogant people, and I think a lot of people do, but I think arrogance seems

to be a qualification among many doctors, which just flabbergasts me. They have

this "I know everything, about everything" attitude, and you can't actually know

anything because you're not a doctor, you're just a patient. But if you have Lyme

Disease you would know that most doctors don't know

anything about Lyme Disease and it's actually a very DIY disease, same as Chronic

Pain. They have this "I know everything and you know nothing" attitude even

though you're the one that is living with these chronic symptoms, and you're

the one that's sick, and you're the one that has to live with the symptoms that

are within your body. You can't tell these type of doctors anything because

they think they know what is best, and they think that you don't know what's

best for your body. The next type of doctor is the verbally abusive doctor.

Now I think all of the previous doctors that I mentioned could fall under this

category, but sometimes there are just some doctors who are definitely verbally

abusive, and they don't even care that what they're saying could possibly

negatively impact your mental health - especially when you're already going

through an illness and you don't know what's going on, it's absolutely - it's not

fun thing to experience. I know that maybe some people might think of a bit

dramatic for including this type of doctor, but this is a doctor that some

of us with Chronic Illness do come across occasionally. There are doctors that will

tell you that you are crazy, that your illness does not exist, that you're not

sick - you're faking your illness, and seeking attention, or you're lying about

your illness or symptoms. They will tell you that you're not experiencing

physical pain but psychosomatic pain. They will blame your parents for making you

ill and grill your mother about her Chronic Illnesses because apparently I

want to be just like my mom, and eventually you'll sit there and you will

both be diagnosed with psychosomatic illnesses. This is also a very true story

that happened to me - so I will leave a link to that video in the description

below. I'm sure there are probably more very extreme cases out there where a

doctor verbally and very loudly yells at you, it is certainly not unheard of in the

Chronic Illness and Disability community, and there are doctors out there that are

real bullies. I think that when a doctor tells you that it's all in your head, and

tells you that you have a psychosomatic illness and not a physical

one, and they say it so much that you start to doubt yourself - then I think

that counts as being verbally abusive and emotionally abusive as well, and it

can actually be manipulative behavior because they're trying to convince you

that you're not experiencing real physical symptoms - they're just trying to

get you away quicker. In closing i think doctors need to be held more

accountable for their absolutely atrocious behavior that they do project

onto their patients a lot of the time - especially when they say so many of

these damaging, abusive and just horrible things. Some of the things that

they say to their patients will have lifelong effects on the mental health of

their patients. Their patients will doubt themselves, and they are affected by

their words. When you have something said to you like 'you're faking your illness',

or you have a psychosomatic illness, or whatever

Illness you're experiencing isn't real - then it makes dealing with Chronic health

conditions a thousand times harder, and this can certainly affect your quality

of life and your mental health. And these kinds of things makes it so much more

harder for patients to trust their doctors, and it makes it harder to go to

the hospital and ask for help - and then when we do, and we experience,

and we encounter one of these doctors - we go through all of the things that ever

happened to us with verbally abusive and negligent doctors all over again. So I

think the behavior of these doctors is adding an unneeded emotional trauma to

patients. And let me tell you this is not an uncommon experience for many people

with Chronic Illnesses and Disabilities - it's so much more common than you might

think. I think patients should be able to

report doctors when they spout these kinds of abusive behaviors without fear of

being reprimanded. I don't think that a doctor who is not qualified to hand out

a mental health diagnosis should be able to do so based on the fact that they

think you're depressed, or they think you have a psychosomatic illness. I think

only a specialist should be able to diagnose you with that. It gets thrown

around so much within the Chronic Illness community that so many of us are

diagnosed with psychosomatic illnesses when we have real physical illnesses. I

didn't report many of my experiences because I knew if I did then I would be

labeled as a problematic patient. For so many years I was told by so many doctors

that I was faking it, I was either depressed, or I had a psychosomatic

illness. For some reason a lot of doctors seem to think that psychosomatic

illnesses are quite common - they're actually not. I really hope that at some

point doctors will hear us and there will be change created, because that is

what patients really need. I no longer want to worry when I go to the hospital

on whether or not I will actually be given adequate treatments for either

my pain, my nausea, or if the doctor is going to treat me like I am not even human.

I hope you guys enjoyed this video. In the comments below I want to know what type
