Ayo! It's Bryan here. Today, going to be talking about the Saturday playoff games,
the divisional round this time. So if you don't know, it's the second round of the
playoffs for the NFL and this week for Saturday, the Falcons are playing the
Eagles at the Eagles and the Titans are playing the Patriots at the Patriots. So
let's just dive into it. Now the first one the Falcons and Eagles game. Tale
of the tape, the Atlanta Falcons. They defeated the Los Angeles Rams I think 26-13
or something like that. It was a pretty decisive win on their part.
Surprisingly, Matt Ryan did all right. I know he got pressured a couple times. He
got hit a couple of times, but not a bad performance on his part. Julio Jones,
he'll be Julio Jones. That defense is very underrated I will say that. They
were able to contain Todd Gurley for the most part. I know he had 104 yards, but
near the end of the game, they're trying like a furious comeback. But they fell
just a little bit short. I know, I was wrong. Like for most of these wild card
games, I only got one prediction right and that's very disappointing. I only got
the Saints and Panthers game correctly. I will talk about that in another time for
Saints and Vikings game, but right now, going to be focusing on the Falcons and
Eagles game. Good win for them on the wild-card spot. So I will still make
those jokes. You know, the Super Bowl jokes until they win a Super Bowl, but
maybe they'll have a chance to do something good this year. We don't know
yet. We'll have to find out. Now the Philadelphia Eagles, they have a bye week.
Really good season on their part. I think they went 13-3. Number one seed, but they did
suffer a setback if you don't already know. Carson Wentz tore his ACL against the Los
Angeles Rams. I think in a very big matchup and they ended up winning that
game. Nick Foles kind of took over. He hasn't been playing really well for the
past couple of weeks. I think his backup or whatever I don't even know his name.
They haven't been playing well either. It's just pretty disappointing to see
that go this far and then Carson Wentz gets injured and I hope he has a fast
recovery. Kind of sucks that he tore his ACL near the end of the season man. I
wish it didn't happen, but it happened. So I can't really do anything about that,
but hopefully Nick Foles can do something against this Falcons defense.
A very underrated, good defense because for the past couple years for the Falcons,
it's been a liability, but now it's pretty much an asset. Offensively, they're
getting something together with Steve Sarkisian. A lot of people have
concerns about this Falcons offense as well as myself, but now, they're looking
pretty good I will say that. So mmm... Who would I go with for this game?
So predictions, predictions, predictions for the first game. I will be going with the
Atlanta Falcons to win this game. Now if you asked me a couple of weeks ago, this
was the matchup and Carson Wentz was playing, I'd probably picked the Eagles to
win this game. But now, I really don't trust Nick Foles to do anything.
I thought Nick Foles was going to do some work because we all know what he did a
couple years ago with Chip Kelly as the quarterback. 27 to 2 touchdown
interception ratio and now for the past couple of weeks, he struggled for
whatever reason. He's been in the system for a while. I don't understand why he's
struggling. He has a lot of good talent under him. I know there's a couple of
injuries on the offensive side of the ball like Jason Peters, the offensive
tackle. Darren Sproles is out, we all know that. Lane Johnson, one of the best
tackles in the NFL right now. I think he's a right tackle. He's an offensive
lineman. If I forgot, then I'm an idiot. But anyways, what else do I have to talk
about? A lot of good playmakers. You got LeGarrette Blount. The running backs are
just freaking amazing. Him as well as Jay Ajayi, very good pickup from the Miami
Dolphins. Only gave up a 4th round pick just to get him. I don't know what
Miami was thinking, but whatever. Wide receivers Alshon Jeffrey. Nelson
Agholor, he's finally doing something. He's not being an idiot like he was for
the past couple of years. This year, he's really shined and that's a really good
thing to see. So I mean, they just have so much good talent. I just don't understand
what Nick Foles. Why he can't execute, but it's beyond my mind. I'm pretty sure Doug
Peterson's beyond his mind as well for why Nick Foles can't be Nick Foles from
a couple of years ago. Just at least be a decent backup quarterback. I don't know
what's going on. So that's pretty disappointing. The Atlanta Falcons, they're
looking really hot. Coming off of good wins in a row against the Carolina
Panthers week 17 and now beating the Los Angeles Rams, one of the highest scoring
offenses in the NFL and only putting them to 13 points at Los Angeles. So very
impressive on their part. I just don't see Philadelphia doing anything
special to be honest with you. If Carson Wentz, that's the big x-factor and he's
not there. That's pretty much why I'm thinking the Falcons and plus overall,
I just think there's a better team anyways. I kind of underestimated the Falcons
this year. I thought they would get Super Bowl hung over and I was almost
right kind of, but they kind of proved me wrong and started running the table a
little bit near the end of the season. So very impressive on their part. I don't
know if I like the Falcons or not. I mean, I try to like Matt Ryan,
but sometimes chokes in big games and he can show a big time and he kind of
showed a big time against the LA Rams. I will give him that, despite taking the
punishment. Going with the Falcons for this game. If I had to pick a final score,
what would I pick? I'll pick Falcons about 35,
Philadelphia 24. I think it's
going to be a pretty decisive win in my opinion. I think Atlanta is too much for
Philadelphia on both sides of the ball, especially on the defensive side the
ball against the Philadelphia offense that's pretty anaemic with Nick Foles as the
quarterback. Maybe they'll prove me wrong. Maybe I'll get every single divisional
matchup wrong like I did with the wild card, except the Saints and Panthers game,
but we'll see at what happens. I'm picking the Falcons to go to the NFC
Championship for the second year in a row. Next game up, Tennessee Titans New
England Patriots. Hmm. Tale the tape, the Tennessee Titans they defeated the
Kansas City Chiefs 22-21 Made a very big comeback in the second half.
Very disappointed on Kansas City. I just don't understand why I picked him to win this
game. I knew they were going to choke some way, shape or form and I didn't know they
were choked last week or last Saturday whenever the game was. Oh, they just
disappoint me so much. Andy Reid, I don't know what's going on with him.
His playoff woes continues. Alex Smith, he might not be in the Kansas City Chief
uniform anymore. Lots of questions for the Chiefs coming into the offseason.
I just don't understand what happened this game and they're up so much. I think
21-3 and they blow the lead yet again. This is just like the game against
the Colts and the Chiefs game a couple of years ago. Huh, very, very disappointing.
Ah man, chokers. Yes, I would say that, but Tennessee had a really good performance
on their part. Marcus Mariota showed up in the end. Derrick Henry showed up
big-time as well. Just overall, great performance on their part. Coming back
from a big deficit. It felt like the Music City Miracle, huh not really, but very good
comeback on their part. New England Patriots coming off a bye weekend.
There has been a little bit of drama between Brady and Belichick about the
whole Jimmy Garoppolo situation. To be honest, I really don't care.
My team has Jimmy Garoppolo. I'm really happy to have him. I just don't
understand what the drama is. Well, I kind of do understand what the drama is, but
you know, you can't really do anything now and the playoffs they really don't care
anymore. They want to win a Super Bowl this year and they can worry about that
in the offseason. So I don't think this is going to affect the Patriots at all.
Tom Brady, Bill Belichick will always be Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Nothing to be
concerned about if you're a Patriot fan or if you're a New England Patriot at
all. Bill Belichick is just one of the greatest chess masters to ever play in
the NFL. He prepares every single game like it's nobody's business, like there's
no tomorrow. I just see him doing some work for this team for the New England
Patriots. Hmm. Who am I going to go for this game? I'll probably go with the
New England Patriots. I think this is going to be a decisive win in my opinion. I know
Tennessee had a really good feel win against the Kansas City Chiefs, coming
back from that big deficit, but I think they're going to run into a big brick right
now against the monster of a New England Patriots team that's ready to win the
Super Bowl for the second year in a row. The last time that actually happened
for a repeat was actually the 2003-2004 Patriots. So maybe they could do their
own repeating for this year. we'll see what happens, but I think Tom Brady
finishes his business. I know defensively, they kind of
struggled this whole year. Losing a lot of players. Losing Dont'a Hightower and I
think that kind of missing Chandler Jones now. I think that was a kind of a goof up on
Bill Belichick part because he led the league in sacks actually this year for
the Arizona Cardinals. Very impressive on his part, but other than that, Bill Belichick
can always try to find his way to BS his way on defense and we know he's a
defensive master, but he just doesn't have the personnel as much to do work on
the defensive side of the ball. But offensively, I trust Tom Brady no matter
what, even at age 40. We'll see what happens. I'm going with the New
England Patriots to win this game and Tennessee's magical run so far is going to
come in to an end. So if I had to pick a final score, I would pick
New England 28,
Tennessee 20. I think that's a pretty
good prediction for pretty decisive win there. If they blow them out, I wouldn't be
surprised. If it's close, I'd be kind of surprised. If was like 28-26,
that'd be really surprised, but I don't see that happening. I think it's going to be a
decisive win. So yeah, picking the Atlanta Falcons to move on to this championship game for
the second year in a row as well as the New England Patriots to be in Foxborough
for the AFC Championship game. We'll see what happens. That's just my predictions,
my opinion for Saturday's game. If you want to come at me, please come at me.
