Waching daily Jan 4 2018

Hey! What up YouTube and Facebook?

It's Mairo Vergara and today I have a HUGE...

Really Huge with capital H

H-H-H-H-H-Huge announcement for you guys --

For 2018 all my videos are going to be 100% in English

What?

With of course, English subtitles, Portuguese subtitles, and a transcript for you guys if

you want to use the video as a resource for your English learning.

WOW

The reason why I'm transitioning from doing videos in Portuguese to doing videos in English

with the subtitles --

It's just because I've got to be really honest with you guys

I've done a lot of videos -- a LOT of videos

I've been doing videos for -- I don't know -- two, three, four years probably, I don't know

I started with the "dicas" -- the tips.

And the original "dicas" -- English tips -- were about how to learn the language

That's my approach to language learning.

I don't teach English itself.

It's more along the lines of coach or a guide

So I guide you in your language learning journey.

I'm going to tell you what to do, how to do it, and what content you have to use,

and then you study.

That's my approach to language learning.

You know, a lot of people like videos, especially on YouTube.

I'm being really honest with you guys.

Especially on YouTube, if you do videos like "verb to be" --

my video of all the verb "to be" almost a million views.

You do present perfect.

You do the difference between "X" and "Y."

You do a simple past.

If you do those kinds of videos, you get a lot of views.

That was one of the reasons.

Because back in the day, I really wanted to broaden my audience, and that's the reason

why I've done so many of those videos.

But again, being really sincere, being really honest --

videos like this, like this, although they are good...

If you have a test tomorrow on the verb "to be" and you watch the video and you learn

and you pass the test, that's pretty good.

But language learning-wise, if we think about it, if you really want to learn English

What you've got to be doing is watching stuff in English.

I always talk about that, and I will always talk about that, which is --

you need a lot of exposure. You need to read a lot of stuff in the language,

and you need to listen, listen, listen, again and again

and listen over and over again, and again, and over again,

to the point of exhaustion, of insanity.

It's immersion, you know? You have to listen so much.

Even if you're not in the United States, if you're in Brazil, you've got to be reading

and listening at least one hour a day

Ideally more, like two, three, four hours a day -- as much as humanly possible.

That's what you've got to do.

And going back to the videos -- when I do the videos, "simple present", "verb to be", whatever,

the subject doesn't really matter.

A lot of people tell me -- they tell me "Mairo, I'm learning English"

And I say -- yeah?

What are you doing?

Tell me what's your study routine?

Are you going through... taking my course?

And they tell me -- I'm watching your videos on YouTube.

And I think -- OK, that's nice.

You're going to learn about the verb "to be" and some phrase of verbs

But the videos are in Portuguese, so you're not getting that exposure to the language

BUT...

Let's say you watch six videos, and each video is ten minutes long.

You're going to get one hour of videos.

You learn the phrase of verbs.

You learn how to say "that."

You learn how to say "this."

But still, it's one hour where most of the time you are listening to Portuguese.

That's not ideal.

The ideal is one hour of English.

Even more...

Preferably...

This word's so hard to pronounce.

PREFERABLY.

Pre-fer-ab-ly...

I think that's proper pronunciation.

The thing is, you've got to be watching videos in English.

Just English.

One hour of English.

But Mairo -- I'm a beginner.

I don't understand the language.

"How can I watch a video 100% in English, when I don't understand 1% of the language?"

"I'm watching your video right now with subtitles in Portuguese because if I turn on English

subtitles, I'm not going to understand."

That's what you're going to tell me, probably.

What I'm going to tell you is, if you're a beginner, if you're a super-beginner

you're not at a stage where you're able to watch videos in English with English subtitles,

or without subtitles.

What you're going to do, is you're going to download my book

Como Aprender Inglês – O guia definitivo

OK, I'm going to leave the link here down below in the description of this video.

Or up here, if you are watching on Facebook.

Just download the book. The book is in Portuguese.

It's a very thin book, like 100 pages long.

You can read it in one hour, two hours, three hours.

Just sit down, read the book, and you will apply the methods,

and you will start learning the language.

Then, as soon as you are able to watch the videos 100% in English,

you come here to my channel and watch the videos.

Of course, you can watch the old videos DICAS de INGLES Videos -- tips on how to learn English.

They're all in Portuguese.

They are going to... [ My kids are going crazy... OK, no problem... ]

You're going to learn some things, like verb "to be," the present perfect, the simple present.

You can do that.

But for 2018, all the videos are in English.

OK? So that was the announcement.

By the way, we're going to continue not only with the videos in English, like this video

here, that I'm shooting for you guys

but also the English conversations, which are pretty interesting.

So if you want to learn English in 2018, if you want to expose yourself to the language

prepare yourself, because I'm coming for you with a lot of videos 100% in English.

"But I'm a beginner -- I'm not going to understand."

Remember.

I'm going to provide you with subtitles.

So even beginners can watch with subtitles in Portuguese.

If you are a little bit more advanced, you turn on subtitles in English.

And if you are really advanced, you can go with zero subtitles, which is pretty good.

I think it's not difficult, because I'm a non-native speaker.

So my English is naturally a little bit easier to understand, a little bit easier to understand

than a native speaker.

That's it, guys.

Please leave your comments down below and let me know if you like this new idea of videos

only in English for the channel.

I'll see you all in the next video.

Bye.

Win the Morning to Win the Day | MORNING MOTIVATION (MOTIVATIONAL VIDEO 2018) - Duration: 10:30.

now we have to start all over

you almost feel like an outsider the

coaches are sympathetic but they still

have to coach and you're not there it's

a dark place

probably the darkest that's ever

you're saddened down and out and you ask

yourself why did this have to happen

it's in this moment that you find out

who you really are and what you're

really

most of us go through life without

plates on holding back not given all

that we have not sharing all of

ourselves most of us go to our graves

[Music]

rather than release

[Music]

because of past experience past defeats

past pain

we look back well it didn't work out

then

- probably won't work out

[Music]

but tonight we were exposed for what we

are right now it means that what I did

didn't work tonight and I've got to

separate what I do from Who I am I feel

like we all have two battles or two

enemies going on one with the man across

from Rhea the second is with the man

inside of you I think once you control

the one inside of you

the one across from here really doesn't

matter I think that's what we're all

trying to do you aren't handed anything

you earn everything every single day

over and over again you have to prove it

you can use off the ground just your

hands and feet there you go little bit

left

a good effort you coming

there you go it's a good start a little

bit left a little bit left

good strength

[Music]

that's it

you got morning in the man

the stigmas down the winters got nothing

left

[Music]

keep trying to candies

be private

that's it that's it that's it keep going

don't quit on the heat oh yeah keep

driving keep keep your knees on the

ground

that's your merriment no very best

a-prime b-prime

they no they don't

knees off the ground keep driving don't

quit till you got nothing left that's it

that's it that's it keep go

Mary keep

don't tell me I know I said by

Australian you negotiate with your

buddies the far more sleepy don't you

give up you keep going keep going come

on

[Applause]

it's in this moment that you find out

who you really are and what you're

really about

[Music]

take responsibility to make your life

happen don't accept things just as they

are don't follow the crowd you want to

be different what would the Thoreau said

you can't the man doesn't keep pace with

his companions perhaps he's listening to

the beat of a different drummer let him

dance to the music that he hears however

measured afar upon that if your friends

don't understand you it's okay you're

listening to the beat of a different

drummer you've decided that you're not

going to allow your circumstances to

define you you've decided that you're

not going to allow the events for things

the people life determine who you become

you decided that you're not going to go

through life being a whiner being a

complainer that you're going to take

responsibility for what it is that you

want to create the greatest ability that

God has given humankind above the

animals is the ability to choose a dog

can't be anything but a dog a cat can't

be anything but a cat a human being has

the power to choose we can choose so

what mr. Washington did was he he helped

me to look at myself and he helped me to

look into the future what do you see for

yourself in the future what do you mean

mr. Washington what do you see for you

mr. Brown at that time I hadn't gotten

clear about that I was thinking only in

the moment as most young people do and

I'm asking you what do you see in the

future for you what brought you here

today what caused you to get up to

invest your time your energy your money

what cost you to buy a plane ticket and

fly in here to be at this event what is

it that you're looking for I'll never

forget one gresham

a speaker out of New York one of the

most powerful speakers I've heard in the

National Speakers Association and he

talked about it appeared in his life

when he was going across Europe trying

to find him

just travelling around the world and one

particular country soldiers woke up the

sleeping passengers and asked them three

questions number one where have you been

number two why are you here and number

three where are you going and that's

what I asked you where have you been

with your life what is your life given

to you how do you feel about your life

is it working

have you given it all that you can give

and I asked the question how many of you

if you had your life to live over again

most of us if we're honest we will raise

our hands it's me o me o lord standing

in the need of prayer yes Lord it's me

no I know I came up in some rough times

yes it's true I was born on a floor in

an abandoned building with a twin

brother yes I don't know my mother and

father no I've I've never seen them yes

I was labeled educable mentally retarded

no I don't have a college education yes

I was raised poor but we didn't know

that we were poor we had a lot of love

mama did what she couldn't what she had

mama did day's work she worked in the

M&M cafeteria you could look at my life

and you could perhaps say that that my

life has been a failure but uh we had

happiness we we had each other

no I wasn't raised on Miami Beach no I I

don't I don't have

an exciting life like a lot of people

that you could look at me at different

stages of my development but here's what

I know that all of us can look at where

we want to go we look at where we've

been look at what brought us here and I

think that what brought you here would

cost you to show up is that you not only

want to make a difference in your life

but you want to make a difference in

somebody else's life I think that what

cost you to be here if you looked around

and and said hey if if by being here by

aligning myself with this organization

that's using television which is the

most powerful instrument we have on the

planet then we can touch some lives we

can change how people see themselves and

how they can reinvent themselves if this

will allow me to leave a legacy to make

a difference on on the consciousness of

young people and adults I'd like to be a

part of that it's a cause larger than

myself

Kenny Rogers said a good life is

something to do someone to love and

something to look forward to and when

you have something to do when you have

someone to love when you have something

to look forward to and you get up in the

morning see people who have something to

look forward to don't need an alarm

clock because they have a reason for

being nietzsche said if you know the why

for living you can endure almost any how

so when you look at yourself and you're

looking to the future what do you see

what do you see yourself doing

differently who will be with you who

will be around you will it be a life or

contribution a life would prevent your

life of excitement what will be

different about you see whatever you see

it's important that you take

responsibility to become the kind of

person that can produce those results

who you've become up to this point has

produced what you have your earning

power your lifestyle the relationships

that you have

Sami Amulet I Bracelets and Rings - Duration: 17:51.

Hello everybody! My name is Katya! Welcome to my channel!

My first video about jewelries didn't get many likes but there were no dislikes, so I decided to make the second part of it.

I will tell about my bracelets and rings.

But first I want to show you my new pendant - an amulet.

Some weeks ago my boyfriend brought it to me from Lapland as a souvenir.

This amulet was made in Lapland from deer horn.

It means a lot to me because first of all it was given by my beloved boyfriend

also because a very interesting folk live there and it is called Sami.

Sami is considered to be the most powerful voodoo in the whole world.

They are even more powerful than turks voodoo.

As we all know, voodoo always worship to spirits and they often make amulets using parts of the animals' bodies.

These amulets were made of : deer horns (Like mine), pike's teeth, bear's claws, elk's teeth etc.

each amulet has it's function, it's power, it's goal.

I wan t to talk more about amulets made of deer's horns.

They are considered to be the most powerful.

For Sami, deer is sacred.

It is sacred because for Sami this animal is like The Tree Of Life.

With it's horns deer connects the world of spirits with the world of humans.

Also these amulets help in hunting and against enemies.

I was trying hard to find the meaning of these simbols (on my amulet) but I didn't manage.

I found a lot of symbols, but they are different of mine's.

I am afraid that these symbols have no meaning and were made for beauty.

Anyway I like this amulet and I will be happy to wear it.

Now, after I have told you about the amulet, I want to continue with the bracelets and rings.

Fist bracelet is this rock-style bracelet which my boyfriend gave me.

It is made of leather.

It has two rows.

It's a pity that these little things fall down, but anyway I like it.

It traveled with me and saw a lot of countries.

Second one is rock style and leather too.

It was given by boyfriend to me as well. I wore it less often.

It is too bright for me.

I often wore it together with other bracelets.

How long a dog should walk everyday. - Duration: 3:16.

in today's video I'm going to answer question from my viewer last how long

should a dog walk everyday I'll answer that question in this video

hello my name is Saro I'm a dog trainer also coach dog owners - this is your

first time welcome if you want to become an educated dog lover and have a

well-behaved balanced healthy and happy dog consider subscribing to my channel

and hit the bell icon as well so you will get notified as soon as I post my

next video so the question is how long should you walk your dog every day what

knee your dog is one of the best way of exercising your dog there are many ways

that you can exercise your dog and I believe walking your dog not only

exercises your dog mentally but also physically as well the other benefit of

walking with your dog or walking your dog is that you build a stronger

relationship with your dog and that's one of the keys in improving our

relationship with our dogs and improving their behavior as long as you have a dog

walks properly and is not pulling on a leash and is not reactive to other dogs

or the situations that happens in the outside environment you can walk your

dog minimum of 30 minutes a day twice a day if you have a dog who is

well-behaved and also is off leash train and you can off leash your dog I also

suggest to walk your dog 20% on leash 60% off leash and then 20% back on leash

for some additional fun and activities you can add 20 more minutes to your dogs

walk here and there so I'll give you a rough formula that you can figure out

how long to walk your dog puppies up to eight months or a year old they should

be walking four times a day and each time fifteen minutes to 20 minutes

maximum now less than fifteen minutes not more than 20 minutes

dogs older than one year old up to seven years old

they can walk 30 minutes at a time twice a day and up to 45 minutes twice a day

minimum 30 minutes twice a day and maximum 45 minutes twice a day

dogs older than seven years old half an hour twice a day minimum twenty minutes

twice a day maximum 30 minutes twice a day I hope that answered your question

if you have any questions leave those questions in the comment area now

DROPSHIPPING Tips and Tricks: 16 Ways Beginners Can Achieve Success [ACTIONABLE] - Duration: 10:25.

Dropshipping is a great business model.

It's low risk, low cost, easy to start up, and is highly automated.

But, if you're brand new to entrepreneurship, there's still quite a bit to learn.

Hey what's up world, I'm Tommy Walker with Oberlo, and today I'm going to give

you 16 different tips for when you're brand new to dropshipping.

If you have any questions, or want to share your experiences with dropshipping, drop them

in the comments below, and I'll be sure to get back to you.

Like I said before, I'm Tommy Walker, and if you like what we're talking about here,

consider subscribing, so you can get new videos every week.

Alright, let's jump right in.

1.

Focus on Mastering Marketing With so many aspects of dropshipping being

automated, you'll have more time to focus on marketing.

Sure, tweaking your website, designing logos, and creating graphics is a lot of fun, but,

if you're not actively working to get the right products, in front of the right people,

at the right time, all that time spent making the "perfect" website will go to waste.

A beautiful website with no visitors is like a "tree falls in the woods" scenario,

where if nobody really sees it, does it really even exist?

Don't get me wrong, design is important, but, if you're not also focused on getting

your beautiful website in front of people, you're never going to get any sales.

That's why you also need to invest in driving traffic.

That could mean through Paid Ads, SEO, Social Media, video marketing or partnering with

influencers.

Honestly, there are a ton of different marketing strategies and tactics you can drive traffic,

which is why I always advise new marketers to focus on the small handful of techniques

that come the most naturally.

Fortunately for you, we've got a ton of resources in the description below to help

get you on the right path.

2.

Create Compelling Offers You know what I love about online shopping?

Sales.

You know what I like even better?

Bundle deals on complementary products.

Because dropshipping can be highly competitive, really think about how you can make buying

from YOU, and building a relationship with YOU even more enticing.

This could mean anything from selectively offering "buy one, get one half off" deals,

to bundling multiple complementary items at a discounted rate, to offering a significant

discount on your visitors first purchase IF they register for an account.

Look at your offer from your visitor's perspective, and ask, "what's in it for me?"

If the offer isn't objectively good or amazing, you should rethink it.

By making offers that are difficult to ignore, you stand a much better chance at converting

more of the traffic you're driving.

3.

Avoid Underpricing Your Products

Now, I know this may sound counter to my previous tip, but avoid racing to the bottom on price

just to remain competitive.

Offering a lower overall cost on bundled products, or through "buy one get one half off"

sales is not the same as selling your entire inventory at just above cost.

This is a massive mistake I see new ecommerce entrepreneurs make all the time, where they're

not making any sales, and suddenly everything in their store is on sale.

Offering everything at rock-bottom prices can have a massive negative impact on a new

brand, and can make the brand feel… cheap.

If you're not making sales, don't jump to assuming it's your prices that are holding

you back.

Instead, reevaluate how you're driving traffic, and the offers you're making.

It's better to find new ways to drive traffic than it is to slash prices, because first

it's hard to raise them again, and second, you still have to pay the bills.

4.

Remove Bad Suppliers Quickly While most AliExpress suppliers are easy to

work with, reliable, and offer good products, sometimes a bad apple or two slip through.

With thousands of AliExpress suppliers, you can easily replace a bad supplier.

Many suppliers sell similar products, allowing you to sometimes even sell the exact same

product but from another manufacturer.

If you notice suppliers don't use the shipping delivery method you've chosen or consistently

ship faulty products, then you can easily remove their products from your store.

Again, this isn't very common.

Suppliers know that by offering quality service you'll continue bringing them more sales.

Also, if you want to minimize your chances of partnering with a bad supplier, check out

Oberlo Supply, which is a network of pre-screened suppliers we work with that are consistent

with their quality, support, and service.

5.

Automate as much of your business as possible With dropshipping tools like Oberlo, many

aspects of your dropshipping business will already be automated, but there is always

always room to take more off your plate.

Tools like Kit can help you automate tasks like advertising, retargeting, emails and

more, while other tools like Buffer can help you schedule your social media postings.

Other tools like Zapier can help you connect your Shopify store to other tools like Quickbooks

for Bookkeeping, Google sheets for order backups, and Hubspot for customer relationship management.

For more information on ecommerce automation, check out the the link in the description

below.

6.

Make sure your website is presentable

You would be shocked to see how many entrepreneurs launch their dropshipping websites with missing

images, placeholder text, and no discernable categorization to their products.

Unfortunately, when you're sending traffic to a website that can't be navigated, it

reeks of unprofessionalism, and immediately diminishes the trust and credibility of your

brand.

Before launching your store, take a look at other websites in your niche.

What does their home page look like?

What's the format of the copy on their product page?

Do their images include logos on them?

What types of pages does their website have?

Which features or apps does the store include on their website?

After taking notes about the look and layout of different stores in your niche, browse

through the Shopify app store to find apps that will mimic the most common features you've

found in your research.

Product reviews, ratings, and email capture are among the most common features of ecommerce

stores.

You can also add pages to feature your refund policies, FAQs, shipping information, and

more.

7.

General Store vs Niche Store

While a lot of advice out there, including our own, will tell you to start with a niche

store, the truth is, sometimes you don't want to sell just one type of thing.

In reality, general stores, while they can be a lot more work, between keeping products

organized and categorized, and marketing to different demographics, are great starter

stores as they force you to think more broadly.

On the other hand, if you want to put the work into researching and validating a niche,

a niche store can allow you to narrow in on finding, and marketing to, the right audience.

The running niche would be an example of a niche within the fitness vertical.

While there's still a ton of competition for running gear and accessories, it's not

nearly as broad as if you were to sell a wide variety of fitness gear.

This really all boils down to one question, "what do you have the tolerance for?"

If you can answer that honestly, and are confident you can drive traffic, you'll be all set.

8.

Be prepared to pivot… fast There are all sorts of unexpected challenges

and adversity that will come up, because at the end of the day, you're running a business.

A supplier may stop carrying a product, a new trend may emerge suddenly, your customers

may hate a product you've added to your store, or one of your ads may be scaling really

well and you'll need to take a loan to continue supporting the growth.

Pivots aren't good or bad, really, but they do require you to be flexible and decisive

when the moment is necessary.

9.

Offer exceptional customer service

There are ways to stand out when you're selling similar products to other companies.

While you may think that offering refunds and responding to inquiries is the role of

customer service, that's just where the job starts.

Tell jokes, write thank you cards, send surprises, and go out of your way to make them feel special.

Like the poet Maya Angelou said, "People will forget what you said.

People will forget what you did.

But people will never forget how you made them feel."

10.

Use Data to Inform Your Inventory Be picky about the products you add to your

store.

Don't just add products because they look nice and you'd like it for yourself.

Look at the data – are these products getting sales and positive feedback?

When evaluating products from your supplier, check to see the order volume, reviews, and

customer photos, and seller ratings to ensure you're partnering with a trustworthy supplier.

11.

Always choose ePacket As a dropshipper, you're free to sort products

based on ePacket shipping.

Since ePacket shipping is the fastest affordable shipping method, you'll be able to ensure

quick delivery to customers without breaking the bank.

On average, ePacket shipping costs under $5 for most products, and will make sure your

customers will get your products between 7 and 20 business days, and often much faster.

If you want to learn more about ePacket, click on the link in the description below.

12.

Be Active Daily Dropshipping isn't an automated business,

and there is no overnight success.

While you likely won't need to put in 8 hours a day, you do need to spend at least

an hour every day to grow your store.

Each day you'll need to process orders, respond to customer inquiries promptly, drive

traffic, and generally just make sure everything's running smoothly.

This is not a "build it and they will come" scenario, and it requires work every single

day to make sure the business is running well.

13.

Import 10-25 items to start

Here's a problem for you - In your excitement to start your dropshipping business, you've

just imported 600 items to your store.

What a great selection you have now, right!?

But then, once you look at your store, you realize, that's 600 product descriptions

you need to edit, 600 titles you need to rewrite, a billion tags you need to come

up with, and 3,000 photos you need to comb to to see which ones you'll have to crop

supplier logos out of.

What do you do?

Most people, myself included, just give up.

Nevermind, this wasn't for me, this is too much work, I quit!

It's much easier to start with a small collection of 10-25 products, that way you can more easily

manage the workload, especially if you're doing this on your own, and after day at your

9-5.

14.

Monitor your competition

Here's a suggestion for you, start a spreadsheet, and include links to all of your primary competitors

websites, social media accounts, and wherever else they're selling online.

Sign up to their email lists, and heck, maybe even buy some of their products.

Once a week, check in on how they're positioning their products, what they're saying in their

emails, what kinds of sales they're running, and how they're retargeting their ads.

This kind of low-level competition monitoring will provide you some insight with how they're

running their business, and can help expose holes in their strategies and may also teach

you some very valuable lessons along the way.

15.

Change the Oberlo Custom Note As a dropshipper, you should change your custom

note to your supplier.

Under Settings, click Suppliers, you'll find Custom Note on the bottom of the page.

Here you can leave a message for all your suppliers.

You'll want something that's relevant to all your suppliers.

Something along the lines of, 'Ship with EPACKET only!

We're dropshipping.

Please no invoices or promotions!'

Since you're only importing ePacket products, it's good to remind suppliers to use ePacket

shipping to ensure customers receive their goods quickly.

It's also important to tell them that we're dropshipping so that they don't add their invoices or

marketing materials in packages.

If you do this, you shouldn't have an issue with suppliers adding their own invoices or

promotions in your packages.

16.

Use Oberlo Supply If you're launching your first dropshipping

store, consider using Oberlo Supply.

Oberlo Supply helps you dropship quality products from trusted suppliers with a wide variety

of products from popular and hidden niches.

The best part about Oberlo Supply is that incoming orders are immediately sent to suppliers

making it great if you're working around a busy schedule.

You'll have more time to focus on marketing so you can make more money.

How Do You Actually Understand Language? - Duration: 3:18.

Beep Boop Bop, Zero Zero One Zero One.

Oh, my bad.

I meant to say "Hey there and welcome to Life Noggin."

Isn't it awesome that you can hear, see, or feel words and get an understanding of

what someone is trying to tell you!

I love words, especially ones like soliloquy, kumquat, Ronkonkoma

Words are just a part of this wonderful thing called language and I'm super curious where

language comes from in the brain!

We're gonna find out with the help of my good friend Reina Scully

Reina: Hello!

First off, what is language?

Language is the expression of human communication through which things like beliefs, behaviors,

and knowledge can be shared, explained, or experienced.

It's based on a system of conventionally used signs, sounds, gesture, or marks that

can convey meaning within some sort of group or community.

As such, language is a little different from speech, which is more simply just a verbal

means of communication.

Reina: But where does language come from in the brain?

To help us figure it out, let's look at what happens when you hear a word and want

to say it yourself.

Generally, to speak the heard word, the information must first get to your primary auditory cortex.

Your posterior speech area comes into play,

including Wernicke's area, which we'll talk about more later.

The information travels to Broca's area and eventually ends up in your motor cortex

so you can say the word yourself.

It's similar for speaking a word that you read, but your primary visual cortex is involved.

Wernicke's area seems to be super important to your comprehension of sounds and language,

as damage to it can lead to something called Wernicke's aphasia, where a person can lose

the ability to understand language.

They can often still speak clearly, but what they say is often confusing and empty of content.

This is typically referred to as "word salad".

Blocko: Broca's area seems important to language as well, but moreso on the end of generating

articulate speech.

When it's damaged, it can lead to Broca's aphasia, which can make it harder for a person

to speak.

They can typically still comprehend language, but have difficulty replying in ways that

are coherent or grammatically correct.

Beyond these parts of the brain, language might also have something to do with a gene

called FOXP2.

This gene appears to be essential for the development of the speech and language regions

of your brain and it seems to influence language development.

Mutations in this gene can even lead to language and speech disorders.

REINA: And to all my bilingual friends out there, I've got some pretty cool news for you.

A recent study found that language shapes how the brain perceives time and that people

who speak two languages fluently can think about time differently depending on the language context

It's evidence on how language can creep into our senses!

What language you speak might also have an impact of what's going on inside your brain.

It sure is interesting how many different languages there are in the world!

Let me know the ones you know down in the comments!

Bonus points if you can speak robot.

REINA: or Japanese!

Make sure you check out Reina's channel on YouTube!

Not only is she an amazing friend of mine

but she makes incredible videos about Japanese culture

and all the events going on in her life

so if wanna watch more check out Reina's channel.

and tell her Blocko sent you!

As always, I'm Blocko and this has been Life Noggin.

Don't forget to keep on thinking!

Live Stream To Facebook Using OBS - Duration: 5:03.

Today in this video I'm going to show you guys how to live stream to Facebook

using OBS. OBS is open broadcast and it is a free program you can use to

live stream to your Facebook so let's get started.

The first thing you're going to want to do is head over to the OBS site. Let's

get that up here. And because I'm doing this, I use OBS open broadcast software

as a screen capture also, it is actually running right now so I'm not going to be

able to go live. but I can show you what you need to go live.

You can go to OBSproject.com

It's available for Windows, it's available for Apple, and it's also

available for Linux.

And I suggest trying to download it first and just use it for basic

recording. I'm not going to do a full tutorial on it because that can actually

take quite a while. And I want this video to be telling you how to broadcast not

how to use the software. But once you get it downloaded and are familiar with it,

you're going to do some settings. And let me pop it up here for a second so I can

show you how to do the settings. Okay, I have it over here in the little window

as you can see. And I have a display capture, which means it's capturing my

screen. And a lower third, which means I put a little overlay down here this is

my name and my website. And you'll see it as down over in this area. And as you can

see right here I am already recording. Otherwise it has start streaming and

start recording or stop. And let's go into the settings. And the first thing

you're going to do is go in to the general settings, and make sure that

these two boxes are clicked. Automatically record when streaming. Keep

recording when streaming stops. That's what I always do that way I have a

little buffer at the end so I can trim it to what I want. You don't have to keep

this one. But the automatically record when streaming is important that way it

saves a copy.

And the whole reason that you want to do this is because, when you go live on

Facebook you're going live, it compresses it to a small size. If you plan on

repurposing this content, over on, say like YouTube or Vimeo or into another

platform, it's gonna be a smaller size. It's not going to be evenly, it's not

going to be the normal 1280 by 720. So after you make sure you click

'automatically record when streaming', go down here to video. And make sure that

your size is where you want it. Now I like to record mine in HD.

So it's 1920 x 1080. And you can't change it once you start going so you

need to make sure that's set ahead of time. And the very last one is a stream.

Now when you get to stream right here you're gonna have several options. And

you can actually down click on the service here. You can see Facebook live.

You down click and you pick what stream you want to do it. You can live stream to

YouTube, to Twitch, several, but Facebook live is what we're talking about here.

Now, one thing you're going to need is a stream key. And if you're on a computer a

lot of times a stream key can be kind of hard to find. So I'm going to show you a

really easy way to find it real quick.

Facebook.com/live/create. And here it even says get

set up. Use OBS, Wirecast or XSplit, And then to you connect to live stream. So

when you click on this button right here, 'Create Live Stream', I'll go ahead and do

that, it it gives you a temporary live stream key that's only good for so

long. So after you use that live stream key, it won't be valid. So make sure you

get it right before you go live. Let me click over there. And it's loading. And

see, now it gives me the stream key which is right here. Now once you take this key,

and you go back and enter it on the other thing, once you start streaming,

you're still not live. You'll need to come back to this page, go down to the go

live button once it once it's streaming. You can hit this go live button and

you'll be live. Pull the streaming back up. And the settings back up.

And that's where that key is gonna be is right there. And that's that's basically

it. If you have any questions, my name is Diana. Feel free to drop a comment down

below. And also you can find me on Facebook. And you can find me on YouTube.

Alright, thanks a lot. Bye Bye!
