5 QUICK CHANGES to Avoid Ineffective BRICK WORKOUTS and Make Them More Effective - Duration: 6:08.

- Five ways that you need to be approaching

your brick workouts to make sure

that you're getting the most out of them.

Now the first tip that I'm gonna give you

is if you are a brand new triathlete.

Now the final thing that you want to know about

brick workoutS, and this is especially critical

if you're doing a half Ironman, or an Ironman distance...

cold.

Trainiacs.

Morning, trainiacs.

So in today's daily triathlon goodness,

your boy, Triathlon Taren, is a little sick.

Mhm, yeah. Not feeling so super hot.

Been feeling kinda crummy for about five days now.

But it's not like I feel so bad that I don't wanna work out,

it's just that I feel bad enough

and it's not getting any better or worse

for me to be very motivated.

That's not gonna stop us from getting just a teeny tiny

little brick workout in,

and trying the new STAC Zero silent bike trainer.

Make sure that you're subscribed,

as a review in...two weeks, I'll say.

So today, I am gonna give you

five ways that you need to be approaching

your brick workouts to make sure that you're getting

the most out of them.

But first, I'm gonna do some brick workout, alright?

Check back with you in a 15 second montage.

(heavy metal music)

So if you're totally new here,

a brick workout is where you go from the bike to the run

as close together as possible.

You're stacking one workout on top of the other.

Bricks.

(thunderous applause)

Now, first tip that I'm gonna give you is

if you're totally new, doing let's say your first race,

or if you've done a race before

and you know that jelly-legs feeling that you get

when you hop off the bike and you start running,

you can alleviate that by doing somewhere between

about six and 10 brick workouts before your race,

it's teaching your body how to reroute that blood flow

as quick as possible from your cycling muscles

to your running muscles, where you've gotta hold your

entire body weight up, it's a completely different movement

and doing that about six to 10 times, it's gonna

teach your body how do to it like...(snaps fingers) Boop!

Now, tip number two

let's say that you are a new triathlete

and you wanna (snaps fingers) jump start the amount of

adaptation that your body goes through so you can get ready

for brick workouts and your next race really quickly,

you can do a workout early on, where over the course

of an hour you're going from the bike

to the run maybe four times.

Let's say it's an hour long workout,

you might do ten minutes on the bike

and then five minute run, and then ten minutes on the bike

and a five minute run.

Now coming close to the race, this isn't gonna be what

you wanna do, but just getting your body in the habit

of going from the bike to the run really quickly

and the early workouts that you're doing a

brick workout in, it's gonna jump start your progression.

Now, a third thing to keep in mind

as you're planning an entire year, is that

you wanna really ramp up your brick training

when it gets close to, and I'm talking like,

two months prior to a race.

At that point, you wanna be doing

as many brick workouts as possible.

During that time in a season I'll probably be doing

three a week, but in the off season we're talking

three months or more away from your next race,

try to get in just one a week, at least.

Now in the final few months before a race,

you wanna start mimicking the race conditions

as close as possible with as many workouts as possible.

On the weekend, we tend to do a long bike on Saturday,

a long run on Sunday.

To get those brick workouts in, you wanna do

the long bike as long as you normally would,

and then do a short,

anywhere from 15 to 30 minute run off the bike.

Before the long run, which is gonna be the same

long run distance that you would do otherwise,

you can do just a 20 to 30 minute bike beforehand.

And you're not looking to go up there and smash it,

you're just looking to get your body in the habit

in those last few weeks before a race, to turning over

the blood flow and the power supply really,

as quick as it can.

Now the final thing that you wanna know

about brick workouts, and this is especially critical

if you're doing a half Ironman, or an Ironman distance

where pacing is crucial, you don't wanna be going out

onto the run at a really fast pace.

You don't wanna be teaching your body to go out

(snaps fingers) like a lightning bolt,

because what's gonna happen is,

you've got a really long race ahead of you

and if your body is used to boom, boom, boom, boom, boom,

just, flying out of T2,

you're gonna end up probably burning out your legs

very early in that race, and you're gonna

have a long hard run ahead of you so go out slow,

and build into race pace.

So there you go, Trainiacs.

Top 10 Alternate Versions Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Duration: 5:49.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were first introduced to the world back in 1984 when

they made their debut not on screen, but in comics published by Mirage Studios.

Made up of four teenaged anthropomorphic turtles named after Renaissance artists who were trained

in Ninjutsu by a rat sensei in the sewers of New York City, needless to say, the series

sparked many peoples imaginations.

The first comic, created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, was self published, and was

heavily influenced by the likes of Daredevil, Ronin and Cerebus.

So, naturally, like all comics, there's been a few alternate versions of the Turtles to

have popped up over the years, with a solid chunk of those versions being outside of the

comic panels.

So today, we're counting down the top 10 alternate versions of the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

Let's jump in.

10 Star Trek Mutant Ninja Turtles Starting off our list with a bit of a novelty,

we've got the Star Trek Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

As action figures.

A toy promotion back in 1994, kids and collectors alike picked up these figures that were an

amalgamation of classic Star Trek characters and the turtles.

This included Chief Engineer Michealangelo, First Officer Donatello, Captain Leonardo,

and Chief Medical Officer Raphael.

9 2014 film There's been many different film versions

of the turtles, but the 2014 film starring Megan Fox has managed to do pretty well for

itself, being a box office success and the highest grossing film in it's series.

The production poured a ton of cash into the visual effects, wanting to give the turtles

the most realistic design as possible with nuanced facial expressions.

This led to the team developing a new motion capture system, in which each turtle was given

a distinctive body to resemble their personalities and physicality.

The effects supervisor Pablo Helman described them each, saying "Donatello is more like

a basketball player, Ralph is more like a football player and Mikey is a very short

Messi and plays soccer."

8 Same As It Never Was Featured in an episode of the 2003 Teenage

Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, the world of episode Same As It Never Was takes

place in an alternate future when Donatello is transported to the year 2035.

Shredder won, and has taken over the entire planet.

Donatello has disappeared, the turtles have fallen apart without him, Splinter is dead,

April is the leader of the resistance, and everyone looks a little beat up.

7 Bread Boy In issues number #25-27 of Flaming Carrot

Comics, Raphael gets a case of amnesia and ends up becoming his sidekick.

While this isn't an alternate in the tradition sense, it does get pretty odd, with Raphael

running around with a bag on his head and a cape with the word Bread on it, causing

him to be called Bread Boy despite him calling his alias the night avenger.

The two work together to prevent a gang of evil umpires from using Frankenstein's monster's

head to steal the Empire State Building.

Told you it got weird.

6 Ten Inch Mutant Ninja Turtles The porn parody.

Yes, if you so wish, you can now see your favourite reptiles get it on in a very adult

way.

And, surprisingly, this parody, based off the trailer, seems to be fairly witty and

on point when it comes to making dirty yet relevant puns, especially compared to some

of the other pop culture icons that creators Wood Rocket have produced.

We actually covered a bunch of porn parodies in our kids characters turned dirty list,

so if you want more dirty puns and more fodder to ruin your childhood with, head on over

5 Mutant Turtles: Superman Legend (1996) Designed specifically to market a brand new

toy line, Superman Legend was a cross breed between the turtles and an amine tie in with

a toy line sold by Takara.

Released in 1996 in Japan, there were only two episodes, and while never released in

North America, fans have actually dubbed it in English on YouTube.

The turtles used special stones to transform into Super turtles, and could pull a power

rangers move by all combining into one almighty turtle, Turtle Saint.

4 Infestation After co-creator Peter Laird sold the rights

to the Turtles in 2009, two years later it was announced that IDW Publishing had secured

the rights, launching another series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics, with the ability

to republish old ones.

One of the first events that the Turtles were involved in with IDW was a crossover called

Infestation, all about a zombie virus that effected the various universes within it's

series it published.

Like Star Trek and GI Joe.

While the characters never crossed over into each others universes, they shared similar

troubles with this virus, and the one that effected the Turtles were Lovecraftian monsters.

3 Coming Out of their Shells (1990) Back in 1990, Pizza Hut sponsored an international

music concert with the Turtles dancing and singing and throwing foam pizzas into the

audience.

2 Deviations Another IDW event, Deviations consisted of

one shots for various titles back in 2016 that featured alternate timelines.

This included the likes of The Ghostbusters, GI Joe, The X Files, Transformers, and of

course, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, playing on the concept of how one moment could

alter a timeline's whole universe.

The Turtles title was "In a world where the turtles join Shredder!"

Shredder was the turtles' sensei, and Splinter forms a new group in a last ditch effort to

save his sons and New York City.

1 Image Comics 1996 Ending off our list is a much darker take

on the Turtles with Image Comics 1996 run.

Entirely in black and white, this relaunch was aimed to be a more edgy approach on the

story we know and love, channelling some of the darker roots of the Turtles' early days

in comics.

Except it went a tad too far, as a lot of critics noted, venturing into more gruesome

territory.

Leonardo lost a hand, Donatello was paralyzed thus turned into a cyborg, Raphael received

a terrible burn on his face and Splinter is a mutant bat.

And eventually, Raphael becomes the Shredder, so, there's that.

so the Russo brothers have confirmed that they just are wrapping up finishing

filming for Avengers 4 as I post the other day the interview they did answer

in some fan questions which wouldn't give any spoilers away where they said

that Thanos is going to be a psychotic character and they can't wait for people

to see what he's about and they basically described infinity war as a

solo heist Thanos movie because he's gonna be the

main star so the rumors are circulating the internet and a massive rumor has

come up that possibly death mistress death has been casted in to Avengers 4

or possibly infinity war because Hollywood is a very strange place

sometimes now I know exactly what some people gonna say they can't cast a role

without making it public knowledge they can't keep secrets well actually they

can it's quite common that some actors have a role up to five years before

anyone knows anything so the latest rumor is that sofia boutella

is gonna be deaf she's no stranger to wild prosthetic roles as she was in the

Star Trek beyond movie and she's been in The Mummy and she's been in a lot of

other kind of movies like that I guess you could say she'll see from the

thumbnail that she could actually pull this roll off and Cena's mistress death

has a major relationship with a phallus in the series the Infinity Gauntlet and

it would be pulling massively from the source material obviously in the comics

if you don't know phallus is madly in love with death and would do anything

and anything to please her so this could play out into Avengers infinity war or

Avengers for there is a chance of this happening I really do believe this could

happen to be on we know that production for Avengers 4

is basically done however if death was to be included they could keep it secret

obviously the Russo brothers would want to hide this till closer of the release

Avengers 3 Avengers 4 or they wouldn't say anything at all what would they so

we already know that obviously Deadpool has a strong connection to mistress

death as well so if it wasn't going to be introduced if she wasn't going to be

introduced during infinity war maybe she could be introduced during a Deadpool 2

post-credit scene now that fox have sold well it's not officially gone through

but our Fox have sold to Disney they could in theory have a fan asked

Deadpool crossover with mistress death and obviously Thanos is being played by

Josh Brolin who is cable in Depp or two so obviously Ryan Reynolds who plays

Deadpool they both work together they're gonna build up some work relationship

they've got a comic book story arc together so it could be possible and the

fact that Deadpool 2 is introducing characters like cable and Domino what's

not to say there isn't enough room for a mega superpower like death and phallus

have some kind of crossover now in the post-credits scene and the ending of

Thor 3 we have a character called Heller that some people think actually died but

it's a bit obvious what happened obviously at the end of that movie

Faust came along and picked up Heller before the whole post-credit scene where

Thanos comes up and beats up Hulk and beats up Thor and I've see a Loki get

scared and gives that as Iraq to him as a present so he doesn't kill him so what

I'm suggesting is if we don't get a actual character death then potentially

cate blanchett who played heller one of the best characters in the MCU in terms

of villains maybe not as Loki but she was a really strong character we didn't

get to see a lot of that a lot of people think they could be mixing the hello

character and the death character together and that could be they could

turn her into death because it could be quite possible they don't need to change

a name they could just give the death persona

they can make phallus and hella kind of kind of hook him up and have a mad

relationship throughout vengeance three and four this might sound a bit crazy

but I've seen a lot of people talk about this actual subject the fact that Kate

Blanche that could have been filming other things for infinity war and

Avengers 4 while she was filming Thor 3 it's very possible guys so let me know

do you think Sofia has been casted into the role as death I mean it's just a

rumor circulating certain boards online and I really would like to see death

because that love relationship that he has with death is a major factor of this

whole story arc and what is his motivational what is his motivation for

the bit where he says fun isn't one someone has when he's trying to balance

the universe and that balance in the universe is linked to death in the comic

books so although the Russo brothers and

people making contact me these don't directly pull from the comics 100% a

roast comic fans would know the whole storyline

I think someone like death has to turn up or we could just turn Heller

into death I think that would be kind of interesting so guys let me know what you

think about its kind of crazy theories stroke rumored a casting call it's not

being confirmed it's just a rumored casting call it is quite late to the

game obviously because they're just about to finish wrapping up but like

I've said multiple times they don't actually have to make things public

knowledge I think it would be cool if we've got a post-credits scene at the

end of n just three or four word death appears or maybe death appears during

Deadpool to righty and that would be insane it no one would see it coming and

the fact that Disney owns Fox now they can literally use Deadpool and death and

thoughts together if they really wanted anyway guys please like scrub and

Yeah- it turns out theres a bunch of things you shouldn't do naked and only a few things

that you should.

But during my search on the internet I found some really ridiculous answers and that's

what were going to be talking about today.

Alright without further adue lets get started on our list of the top 5 things you should

never do naked.

Starting off at number 5--Cook - yeah you all knew this one was coming…or maybe not.

But theres some sort of on-running joke about cooking naked.

But yeah the point is don't do it.

Theres boiling water- spitting oil and grease…fire!

Yeah just a whole lot of stuff you don't want to get on and scar your body.

I don't know why someone would think to cook naked.

Like I get you could get hungry at weird time but if one of those times happens to be when

your coming out of the shower and your naked at least throw on a robe.

In at number 4--Suntan- Now this one I know is a thing since all over the world there

are nude beaches.

People just arnt about those tan lines.

And it turns out tanning naked or even just topless is pretty dangerous for women especially.

Females who suntan without wearing a bra actually run a higher risk of getting melanoma in the

skin covering their mammary glands.

According to the World Health Organization over 32 thousand people are diagnosed with

melanoma in the United States each year.

Also sun tanning naked is also bad for guys- since that area isn't used to being exposed

to the suns rays its highly likely youll contract a sun burn and I can imagine that wouldn't

be too comfortable.

At number 3--Play with a kitten- now why this would be on even one list I couldn't tell

you but I actually came across this one on 3 different lists so I figured I should include

it.

Playing with a kitten while naked- that's something I didn't know people did.

But um yeah if you didn't know it's a bad idea to play with a kitten naked now you

do.

And just so you know this is directed towards kittens specifically- not cats.

So yeah you can uh..keep on playing with youre cats naked.

But anyways yeah- kittens are known for their crazy sharp claws and their wild rambunctious

ways.

So youre almost guaranteed to get some serious scratches in certain places youd much rather

keep safe.

And whats worse is sometimes these scratches can get infected.

Coming in at number 2--Ironing clothes- ok now this one kind of actually makes sense.

If you have a wrinkly shirt or pants your not going to want to put on another shirt

Someone will take a picture of something reflective while theyre naked.

Why people take pictures of things while naked I couldn't tell you but it happens.

And since the item is reflective they catch themselves in it.

And whats worse is when they don't realize and then post the picture to Instagram or

facebook for the whole world to see.

Even celebrities make this mistake- for example Vicki Gunvalson from the real housewives of

Orange County posted this picture to her Instagram.

We have a of a pair of beats headphones and her reflection was caught in the shiny wrapping.

And in the reflection you can see her bare chest.

In the caption to this picture she wrote- thank you bravotv for my Christmas present.

Love these for all my travelling.

Once fans started commenting on the picture she realized what she had posted and took

it down.

But once its on the internet its there forever.

An innocent mistake but one that's always going to be out there.

The left's hate for President Trump is no secret to anyone in America.

For months liberals have lamented, protested, and schemed to have Trump removed from office

by any means necessary.

These threats have come from celebrities, politicians, and violent groups like Antifa

and Black Lives Matter as they continue to scream that Trump must be stopped.

Instead of these hateful individuals facing stiff punishment for inciting violence against

the sitting president, the mainstream media, and liberal politicians have remained virtually

silent.

Now, these violent threats have reached a fever pitch as more deranged liberals call

for President Trump's death on a daily basis.

So, it is no surprise that someone just offered thousands of dollars to assassinate Trump

on social media which has secret service on high alert.

What has made America the greatest country on earth has not only been our military prowess

but our freedoms that we were founded on.

One of the central tenets of our country has been the right of free speech and to speak

out against our government and protest when citizens feel slighted.

However, that free speech has taken a dangerous turn when thousands of Americans are abusing

that right with calls for violence and even murder towards President Trump.

Just over this weekend, Andrea Hudson offered $20,000 for anyone who was willing to murder

President Trump on Twitter.

Of course, when conservatives saw the message they quickly reported the offensive tweet,

and the account was suspended, but that will not stop this sort of sentiment to continue

considering that top Democrats have been calling for the death of Trump and conservatives for

months.

After Trump was elected, the hateful rhetoric against him only intensified with top Democrats

joining in on the chaos.

Former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch released a disturbing video with violent calls

to action to exact on a change in the country even if that meant bloodshed.

"We have always had to work to move this country forward to achieve the great ideals

of our Founding Fathers.

They've marched, they've bled, yes some of them have died.

This is hard.

Every good thing is.

We have done this before; we can do this again."

Then former Vice Presidential candidate Tim Kaine echoed that chilling sentiment as well

during an interview on MSNBC.

Mika Brzezinski, co-host of the television show, Morning Joe asked Kaine this following

question, and his answer was quite telling.

So, broad question about the future of the Democratic Party, especially given your firsthand

experience with what we've all been through.

There's so much going on here that we clearly see, you know, places where you — we can

criticize what the administration is doing, but how does the party rebuild?

How do you prevent overreach in a situation like this?

How do you prevent a continuation of the bubble in a situation like this, and how does the

party reclaim its reach across the country while fighting these battles?

And, here is Tim Kaine's response.

So, the way we get outside the bubble is we take advantage of this tremendous public outcry

against the administration.

What we've got to do is fight in Congress, fight in the courts, fight in the streets,

fight online, fight at the ballot box, and now there's the momentum to be able to do

this.

And we're not afraid of the popular outcry, we're energized by it, and that's going

to help us do our job and do it better.

So, with the apparent blessing of top Democrats calling for violence against the Trump administration

is it any surprise that hateful liberals would continue spouting their dirty fantasies online?

Not at all.

This hatred for President Trump and his policies has been carefully cultivated by the mainstream

media and liberal politicians as they peddle tales of bigotry and racism to the masses.

The dangerous rhetoric that these liberals have spouted for over a year has created an

atmosphere of paranoia, and it is not getting better any time soon.

These hateful individuals are so consumed with malice that they cannot see that they

are the ones who are the sole contributors to the divisive climate in our country.

It is now the time that those that promote any violence against the president is arrested

and thrown in jail.

The only way this sort of behavior will stop is when there are harsh consequences to their

actions.

It is one thing to speak out against policies you may not agree with, but it is quite another

to advocate for the death of a president, and that goes for both sides.
