green bark beneath.
As the outer layers begin to age, they pass through various phases of the color spectrum
creating this rainbow effect on the tree.
This Rainbow Forest in the Philippines is also one of the tallest in the world, with
many of its trees surpassing 200-feet in height.
Up above in its canopy the evergreen leaves of the Rainbow Forest go from a light green
to a darker shade of grey-green, and produce tiny white flowers which are among the most
fragrant on Earth.

Under Trump, opposing 'chain migration' is even bigger than 'amn - Duration: 7:16.
Under Trump, opposing 'chain migration' is even bigger than 'amnesty'
One word defined the immigration debate under former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack
Obama: amnesty.
Under President Trump, it might be two: chain migration.
�Our current immigration system fails Americans,� Trump said at the White House on Thursday
�Chain migration is a total disaster, which threatens our security and our economy and
provides a gateway for terrorism.�
Trump said it again when spelling out what would have to be in a bill to codify the Deferred
Action for Childhood Arrivals program, ending in March, in order for him to sign it.
DACA protects undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as minors from deportation.
Because Obama created it through executive action, there are questions about its legal
and constitutional basis.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced in September that the program would be phased
out for these reasons.
�Any legislation on DACA must secure the border with a wall,� Trump remarked after
meeting with Republican senators on the issue.
�It must give our immigration officers the resources they need to stop illegal immigration
and also to stop visa overstays.
And, crucially, the legislation must end chain migration.
It must end the visa lottery.�
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders described the president as reiterating in
the meeting with GOP senators the administration�s �view that any action on DACA must come
with action on the president's immigration reform principles, which were released last
year.�
�These include a physical border wall on the southern border; interior enforcement,
which includes more ICE and Border Patrol agents; as well as a crackdown on sanctuary
cities; and reforms to our legal immigration system, like ending chain migration and the
visa lottery program in favor of a merit-based immigration system,� Sanders said at Thursday�s
press briefing.
�Next week, the president is inviting a bipartisan group of senators to the White
House to discuss next steps on responsible immigration reform and to continue that discussion,�
she added.
�Chain migration� is a phrase used to describe a feature of immigration law that
allows immigrants to sponsor their relatives to come to the U.S. Family reunification is
responsible for more than two-thirds of legal immigration annually, while less than 10 percent
come for primarily employment-based reasons.
Immigration restrictionist argue this produces a mismatch between immigrant skill levels
and the U.S. labor force, at the expense of American workers and recent immigrants.
A bill introduced by Sens. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and David Perdue, R-Ga., endorsed by Trump
in August, would cut immigration in half in part by limiting family-based immigrant sponsorship
to spouses and minor children.
They would like to see something like this provision be part of any DACA deal.
�Look, if you give amnesty to one or two million illegal immigrants who were brought
here through no fault of their own, as kids, you�re going to have at least a couple negative
effects,� Cotton said on Fox News.
�And one of those negative effects is you�re going to have a whole new chain of chain migration.
The way to control for that negative effect is to stop chain migration.�
The immigration hawks at Numbers USA have launched a six-figure ad campaign to inform
the public and to help the phrase "chain migration" take its place in the political lexicon alongside
"amnesty."
The group�s president, Roy Beck, uses the words together.
�While Congress debates yet another amnesty, we want to help Americans visualize how the
presence of chain migration categories means that amnesties are never limited to the people
receiving them but instead open up lifetime work permits to millions more of their extended
family and in-laws,� Beck said in a statement.
Many of the Republicans negotiating with Senate Democrats on a DACA fix favor more expansive
immigration policies than Trump.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., for example, was part of the Gang of Eight and is a co-sponsor
of the Democrats� preferred bill for resolving the status of DACA.
Social conservatives helped beat back a 1990s attempt to reduce immigration in part by limiting
chain migration on the grounds that family reunification was a pro-family policy.
Many immigrant communities and their advocates also oppose the change, arguing that it is
already too difficult to immigrate to the U.S. and, this is, itself, a driver of illegal
immigration.
But Graham suggested Thursday that Trump could succeed where Obama and Bush failed if lawmakers
were willing to compromise.
�There's a bill to be had,� he said at the White House.
�If you want it bad enough, we'll get it and it will be good for the country.
Everybody has got to give a little bit.
But I've never been more optimistic about an immigration reform proposal making it to
the president's desk right now.�
Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., has been a persistent critic of Trump on immigration, among other
issues, and asked for a place at the table on DACA negotiations when the administration
was lobbying him on tax reform.
Still, Flake tweeted in December that he could make some concessions the White House wanted,
specifically mentioning chain migration.
�We can fix DACA in a way that beefs up border security, stops chain migration for
the DREAMers, and addresses the unfairness of the diversity lottery,� he wrote.
�If POTUS wants to protect these kids, we want to help him keep that promise.�
Trump has held to these positions even after his split Steve Bannon, who pushed for immigration
restrictions when he was working at the White House and has published numerous articles
on the subject on his media site Breitbart.
Pressure is building to craft a legislative solution for DACA, as beneficiaries� work
permits are starting to expire and there are concerns about how long it would take to ramp
up the program again if Congress authorized its revival.
�We must BUILD THE WALL, stop illegal immigration, end chain migration [and] cancel the visa
lottery,� Trump tweeted Thursday evening.
�The current system is unsafe [and] unfair to the great people of our country � time
for change!�

seen these in a while the veggie is storage free
I wonder if those actually work and I need it one of these little mini
spatula a little whisk these are so cute they're so tiny this stuff is nice
for like back-to-school like college put my little gift basket together or am I
always try to make gift baskets look at all this little stuff a little ladle
yeah it isn't any of these little miniature things and Dollar Tree that's
pretty cool fun I'm gonna have some more stuff like hiding under here
nice looks like they have some larger ones here Christmas can dig I've seen
like 50% off but never 4 for $1 it's pretty good then they have that one's
broke but these are new so of course they have Valentine's cookies and you

a popsicle stick melts my heart I'm really a mermaid
so emotional I think that's it but yeah these are really nice or a Christmas

Hello welcome to the second episode of Movie Hangouts my name is Jackson King my name is Jonavon yeah definitely
no I only saw the only movie I saw like towards earlier year was get out by the
in Washington theatres I saw it online
yeah it's usually the summers I really start watching the movies that come out
in theaters okay and it's it's a spoiler or non spoiler is okay
the first half of is essentially the actual bombing but the second act is
stopping them to me this was how he trained up the team team of brothers
movies like watch Survivor and Deepwater Horizon
this would be my anything being there the story okay I'll be sure to check it
out now one movie where do you say yeah I'll definitely be sure to check that
out now one movie I saw earlier in the year was get out and it's about a black
guy who goes to spend the weekend with his white girlfriend's family and
there's a bunch of stuff that goes down that you really need to see for yourself
because it it's complex and it ties in to what's going on in today's society
and I definitely recommend it and coming from Jordan Peele which is the first
thing I've ever seen of him is definitely a standout
the story is so yes yeah I definitely connected with it yes definitely
as I says it for social commentator is definitely something that's worth
checking out did you have any other moves that you saw earlier this year
wait split came out this year I thought it came out late I thought I came out

about them about the send-off was appropriate for Wolverine the first time

Logan it really harder Casso and just as a side note I know I talked about I
almost cried when I watched Logan Toy Story 3 is the only movie to ever make
me cry just yeah definitely loved x-23 character as well

gave me a different feel from guardians 1 just I mean it had what it was similar

just like guardians to was more centered on Peter quill and it was more character

I got to like at getting guardians to they were trying to do that same thing
the Guardians won but it didn't it didn't click like it did in Guardians
one so that the feeling was different
actually when I did the Marvel ranking I actually ranked guardians to higher than
guardians one but it was only slightly because at the same time I just it was
just a different feeling and I just came away just liking guardians to slightly
more but it's it's the one thing I think about in my head like it's Guardians one
maybe I should rank guardians one higher than Guardians two for the next time
mmm-hmm any other movies that you saw on May okay now since you were disappointed
in them let's just quickly move on to June then now in June I saw Wonder Woman
transformer yeah yeah I've never watched an alien movie so this can you explain
like the basic premise of it the whole franchise okay then
originally well also give him a chance
okay any yeah Wonder Woman easily the best movie in the DC extended universe
now I know that when I made the DC ranking video made the Wonder Woman
video I know I mispronounced gal gadot I said it right this time

I love gal gadot's Wonder Woman she definitely had more personality than
Henry Cavill Superman which I appreciated in she's actually she's
actually the one carrying this franchise right now that DC is trying to create
I thought the villain in this movie was lackluster but yeah we know yeah I'm
still holding out some hope for Superman but just going back to Wonder Woman
I liked Chris Pine now Steve Trevor thought he was a great supporting
character I love the dynamic between Steve Trevor
one woman in this movie
yeah and when I walk up a theory of seeing that actually felt hopeful I
actually felt inspired to go do something they give you that's they give
you like that same feeling too of Hope or like inspiration I mean I guess yeah
I guess cuz for some reason just emotionally resonate with me that just
shows how much of a good job it did now the next movie I saw was transformers
the last night now what I like transformers
I like the fourth one I said okay the fifth one now this is this is my second
least favorite movie of 2017 I would just I just watched I just
didn't feel any I didn't feel anything and I'm saying this a lot it's like I
had to get the feeling of a movie I have emotional II connect with it I think
that's very important in order to how I rate these movies now the plot it's it's
your typical Transformers movies like you gotta save the world
you have your Autobots you have your Decepticons I'm not gonna spoil it
I recommend you go watch it make your form your own opinion on it but it's
just it's the same old transformers that you're used to just repackaged
what how bad did transformers ruin your expectations of it like what what
happened hmm yeah I definitely had that feeling too and I was watching the movie
I mean but it did have its highlights of course obviously the action will always
be the highlight of a Transformers movie I mean the plot was simple so that
helped a little bit to make the pain less when I was watching it wasn't that
it was yeah now the last movie I saw in June was cars 3 now I grew up watching
Disney and Pixar movies and I may make a Pixar ranking video in the future that's
had to catch up on some of the movies now cars 3 it's like we see Lightning
McQueen he's not the same he's washed up basically and he's on the other side now
where he's trying to outdo the younger guy and I just love that journey he goes
through in the movie where he's still learning things about life he's still
evolving as a character and that's where Pixar shows a strength where Pixar has
these characters that you can relate to and
as a 18 year old watching it I'm watching the first cars maybe as a kid
when I was like 7 whatever how old I was and just seeing this character he's
growing he's learning he's in some ways used to sit still the same hard-headed
lightning McQueen but it's still something that I can
relate to is something that I can enjoy did you see cars three oh I definitely
recommend watching are you Pixar movie fan yeah definitely I definitely
understand because I don't even watch kids move like that anymore because my
tastes have changed since I've grown older but at the same time it's this
word nostalgia I grew up watching cars I'm gonna see cars three places for the
same reason yeah Toy Story and it's for the same reason I'm gonna go see The
Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 in theaters did you see the teaser trailer
with Jack Jack
all I know is it's supposed to be more focused on Elastigirl yeah yeah no can't
wait see more of Jack Jack hopefully he he might talk I don't know anything else
that you saw in June okay moving on to July what did you see in July yes all
that okay yes
that's what I appreciate and just as a side note even though war for the Planet
of the Apes is the third movie in a trilogy you do not know need to go see
the other ones because I mean I guess this isn't a spoiler but at the very
beginning they have text that explains the other two movies so you can go ahead
and watch this yeah definitely yeah I'm back to the Logan comparison like like
Caesar he's gritty he's more menacing he's well actually
not let me not spoil that part but that he's worn out he's just like exactly
like Logan like just as you mentioned earlier

yeah I think it will be them they might reboot it later on down the line but
definitely satisfied in conclusion now spider-man homecoming what did you think
of this one wait I can't hear you right now yeah I can hear you now well I
thought for all the flaws amazing spider-man 2 had no family to be
enjoyable he just didn't of course it wasn't outstanding but it's it was an
average movie but I was so wanting I'm still wanting more from spider-man I'm
actually a little bit upset the bait I wanted to see that storyline play out
more I actually wanted an amazing spider-man 3 I don't know how many other
people did but I personally wanted to see that
yeah yes he's younger and it's more faithful to
the comic books yeah I can see that and you can sympathize with them now I'm
glad the captain yeah I'm glad they kept it just focus on Peter in New York and
we actually got the feel of a your friendly neighborhood spider-man more
than any other spider-man movie
yeah and it's definitely one I think it's one of the my it's in my top six or
seven Marvel movies right now is there anything else that you saw in July oh
that's the one I wanted to see it I
haven't seen I can't say anything about it yeah I used to just not be as big as
hunt Harry Styles cuz the middle school just girls just love one direction guy
annoying but I'll definitely give it a chance cuz I heard like he's mature he's
mature Harry Styles and I fly saw from the chair was like I could take him
seriously and Christopher Nolan of course he's one of my favorite directors
of course I'm gonna see anything that he puts out
anything else for the month of July okay moving on to August I'm gonna start off
I saw a movie called Detroit now Detroit it stars John boyega and Anthony
Mackey's in the movie as well who plays Falcon in the MCU yep now this movie is
based off the 1967 Detroit race riots and is actually specifically based on
the Algiers motel incident and this is not really a spoiler because this is
based off a real event yeah yeah it was directed by Kathryn Bigelow okay just
know I'm not gonna spoil it but it's something that you should definitely
check out because it's impactful and it's I want to say it's it's gonna keep
you engaged because there's this one long scene in the movies like
one of the longest I've ever seen a movie just the interrogation scene just
it really gets to you and it's definitely a movie that it's a period
piece but it's reflection of the times we see today and I definitely recommend
anybody see it and just as a fun fact the guy who I was sitting next next to
in the theater he was there as a little kid during the Detroit race riots he was
a white guy he says he remembers his older brothers talking about it when it
happened he was from Detroit I like okay that's cool so I was able to talk to him
about what was it like back then and everything along those lines
anything else because that was the only movie I saw in August okay anything else
yeah I think I didn't see anything in September and October I didn't see any
other movies again till November what did you see it yeah yeah
isn't that based off a Stephen King novel yeah okay yeah I understand yeah
I'm not I'm not a fan of horror movies not cuz they scare me says that I just
don't find them interesting but you said that they how long is the movie
oh okay like like how scary that it depends like what scares you
okay and when did it come out acht argost September okay anything else that
you saw for September or October okay moving on to the November
did you see Thor Ragnar the weekend it came out yeah so do you okay so just
quickly I'll talk about thor ragnarok I think it's it's easily the best in the
Thor trilogy coming off with Thor the dark world which was it was barely okay
it was barely okay I love Taika Waititi I actually seen
some of his work before I recommend anybody go see a Taika Waititi movie
because he brings this unique style it's an D style of directing to a Hollywood
movie that I appreciated it's definitely the most comedic of the Thor movies and
the humor is well placed and just not to spoil anything I think hella is one of
the better villains the MCU has had and I just say that we see Thor in a way
that we never seen him before he's less he's serious but at the same time he's
not the oh I I can't relate to him Thor you can actually relate to him in his
play and the dynamic between Loki and Thor is still there and it actually
evolves in this movie and it's definitely something it's worth checking
out even if you're not a fan of comic book movies I still recommend seeing it
yeah I saw a boy a friend recommended that to me Marvell ranking it was July
it was the week after spider-man homecoming came out
I mean I'll have the update it for Black Panther comes out yeah just be sure let

yes and just like you know make sure you stay for the credits you guys should
already know this I'm just letting you know if you don't know if you're living
under a rock stay under the credits it's a Marvel movie now for Justice League I
thought that this coming off on Wonder Woman I was hoping that the movie would
be just okay which it it was just okay I wasn't expecting that much out of the
movie I wasn't expected it to blow me out of the water or just amaze me with
its story but expecting something decent and it was like I said earlier but my
biggest problem is Steppenwolf was a one-dimensional villain and I didn't
really feel the threat of Steppenwolf in this movie and I know this this isn't a
personal gripe of mine but the fact that you introduced cyborg and the flash and
you expect us to care about them makes that dynamic a little bit odd because
they should do what Marvel did I mean I don't like to hit try to compare Marvel
and DC that much but they should have given them their own solo movies watch -
no they are but they should have came out before Justice League you should
have a sum of them afterwards so because it gives us an easier time as
an audience to care about these characters and we know their backstories
already so having to spend time in the Justice League movie trying to introduce
all of them and make us care about them
when you're see I'm a fan of Marvel and DC and it's I want DC to succeed because
it's it's no good for just Marvel just be dominating because I want DC to be
competing with them I think competition is good I think that DC there just need
to take their time and just not rush out to compete with Marvel so quickly they
just need to establish their universe then things will fall into place with
them yeah and the fact that because he was just so weak I think that it just
lessens the hype for Darkseid because we all know he's coming I just it just
doesn't leave me an excitement for her I mean I'm still watching anyway it's
just I'm not highly it's not highly anticipated it's not something I'm gonna
be up at night talking to my friends about it's just if it comes it comes all
those and see it but other than that now was there anything else that you saw on

three straight movies in a row will I don't think the these yearly Star Wars
movies ought to go hurt the franchise that much if anything ill benefited
because I think it will keep on increasing the just the hype around Star
Wars and the anticipation I mean just like the force awakens how there was ten
years off and that benefit the movie so much I think as long as these side
stories like the Han Solo movie as long as those movies are satisfactory they'll
keep on bringing people back to Star Wars and making them want to see the
actual episodes
that's the movie like almost romantic
yes yes announced and also be concerned I mean I mean it may not have been a big
concern but you hear about the Star Wars Battlefront 2 controversy yeah
I mean maybe cuz I was thinking too much but I was pretty that might have heard
the last year
yeah but despite all that for all the gamers out there I noticed a side note I
still recommend playing battlefront 2 I play it it's a good game there are no
microtransactions there are no loot crate's that require you to pay money so
just go try the game out I promise you you'll like it
