I tried following a Jeffree Star Makeup Tutorial
Karolina Dusk
hi guys welcome back to my channel so in this video I wanted to do this trend
that's been going around so I thought I would try to follow a Jeffree Star
makeup tutorial. Summer bronze glow + metallic lips makeup tutorial but I don't really
have anything that he has and I'm not a makeup artist and I'm not that good at
it I figured I would just use what I have and just try to still follow what
he's doing and you know do the same steps but just try to substitute what
he's using with what I have but yeah. So let's get into this video and we'll see
if this works or not. I don't know I've never done this before
we're gonna be using the tatcha dewy skin mist to start. First he uses a
moisturizing mist on his face before applying any makeup let's get started
first we're gonna be taking This Becca backlight primer ok so then he is using
a primer and applying it with a Beauty Blender now the primer that I have is a
kind of different consistency I don't know if I can apply it with a Beauty
Blender but I will try.
he actually dampened the Beautyblender before applying the primer which is
another thing that I've never done
and the primer that I'm using is completely different and has a different
consistency it's actually a tarte clean slate timeless smoothing primer then he's
mixing the two different foundations that he has which I don't really need to
do this also don't really have what to mix so I'm just gonna use what I
normally use which is Tarte BB cream and he's using Artis brush which I don't
have so I'm just gonna use a Beauty Blender to you know blend it. it is how
it looks now
because I don't know about you guys but I kind
of like to rub the product that's on my nose like I don't know I like to first
rub it in with my fingers cuz they kind of feel like it's easier and then I use
a Beauty Blender on it but that's just kind of my personal preference
so that's it for the foundation which in my case is BB cream and as you can tell
this you know since this BB cream is kind of light coverage which is kind of
what I'd usually use but I like how it makes my skin feel that's why I use this
one all the time now I'm gonna go in with a really light concealer I'm gonna
be using the new Too Faced Born This Way concealer this is heaven so we're just
gonna take a little bit and bam we're gonna go down the nose today and then
we're just gonna do a little concealer here we'll do a little heart on my
forehead today just a little of the smile lines to brighten that up let's
get to buffing and blending I'm gonna be taking that our teeth okay so he's using
Too Faced um I think he said Too Faced Born This Way concealer which I don't
have but I have this thing is called bare minerals stroke of light eye
brightener which is what I use around my eyes so I'm just gonna use this instead
like that's so much I never put so much yeah yeah here and here and he drew like
a little cute heart on his forehead so I'm gonna do that
it's a very uneven heart but it's a heart yes
I'm just going to use this tiny Beauty blender and like this bigger side
of it to blend it in
in there once and then you're gonna take that and just go right under the eyes
oh wow it feels so smooth now. Why haven't I ever done this.
And I have Mac blot powder in medium. Let's see what is next now we're gonna
do a little cream contour today we're just gonna do our cheekbones a little
different look to do under the jawline you guys and then we're really gonna go
in on this nose today okay so he is using a cream contour which I don't have
I will just contour with a BB cream that I have. It's the Tarte bb cream medium tan color. so I'm
just gonna try to use this thing to contour because that's the only thing I
have in cream form I mean I do have a powder but I want to just kind of stick
to the video the most I can so Am I doing this right? Oh god that's too
much product all right let's see if I can do something about this
and the forehead
I'm not sure if I did this even but it is what it is no turning back now
some loose powder to dust around my face I'm just gonna use this brush I don't
know is this how you supposed to do it
I'm just gonna coat my entire lids so he's using an eye primer which I don't
have I will use this which is light peach concealer and I got this from Mac a long
time ago but yeah I think I'll just use this on my eyes instead of a primer and
we'll see how that works
so basically this is done and I have my hair in my face but this is how it looks. My eyes
look so different like they're much brighter on top. ..taupe color and I'm just
gonna tuck this into my crease and kind of make this a little transition color
so I'm gonna use this palette bisou eyeshadow palette. even though I barely used it already
looks like a mess I'm not funny it seems that this is the closest one to what he
was using right here so I'm gonna try to use that and he's using a fluffy brush I
think this is a good brush to use and this is Danielle um eye shadow blender
brush okay seems right
is this too much I think it is too much
there are babies somewhere doing this better than me so he kind of goes into
the crease and halos it on the outside
I don't know if I did this right at all. I think so. I'm gonna use this shade
instead of Unleashed shade oh wow okay you never know I'm like this is probably
not gonna be as pigmented or as gold but let's see yeah it's definitely not as
gold or shimmery or whatever but it will work because I have other sparkly things
that I can apply later
I feel like this is too much for my eyes but I'm gonna do this till the end and
just see what happens. Aaah! mess! I want to try a lighter color instead of that.
I think this is better and the previous color was too dark.
he takes the same fluffy brush I think and just puts the same color a little bit
over the crease
then he's highlighting below his eyebrow like underneath the entire eyebrow so
I'm gonna take one of these Stila magnetic magnificent eyes metal foil. These are like metal in a jar. it's kind
of this bronzy metallic looking eye shadow that he uses so I wonder what
if I mix this pigment I would tilt it more but I'm afraid it's gonna fall out
with this pigment and with a little bit of this pigment this is what I mix this
is how it looks is definitely not like what he's using cuz whatever that was it
kind of looked more chunky on the camera but I'm just gonna try to use this okay
well this is definitely turning into a completely different look but it kind of
sort of works there's a lot of Fallout on my skin though
definitely not like what he had
do you see what happened the glitter kind of got onto my upper lid I don't
know if I can clean it up at this point but well I look like a disco ball
because of the amount of fallout actually I don't know if you can tell
that on the camera but I don't mind how that eyeshadow turned out the one I
mixed a mean but the amount of glitter that just got everywhere is crazy and I
don't know I don't know how to get it out so I'm just gonna leave it it's not
that bad you know I love glitter so okay
I know this changes the look completely cuz my glitter is silver his glitter is
bronze sooo oopsie
okay clearly this turned into something completely different I look like a disco
ball so he's putting peach color on like this
inner part of the lower eyelid. I actually like this color.
I'm gonna go in with this really light one over here we're just gonna put that
right under my eye. He's putting white eyeliner pencil on the waterline and I love
actually how he holds his eyelid on the bottom like this with a beauty blender
I've never seen this before this so that's really cool okay so I applied my
eyelashes off a camera and the only thing left to do is to apply the mascara
on the bottom lash I'm gonna do this now and I'm using mega volume express by
Maybelline okay I applied it on my bottom lashes I don't
even know if you can tell the difference I can kind of tell the difference I
guess I like it. Today we're actually gonna shock everybody and put some blush on.
Okay I do not have a powder blush but I do have a blush which is this Tarte
glisten blush I mean cheek stain which I'm thinking is the same thing as a
blush today we're going to take this a Mac Daddy diamond glow powder this one
is called Illuminati so he's using diamond glow powder which you guessed it
I don't have it but I'm gonna use this pigment that I have that's actually
really pretty
yeah it is definitely a little bit pinkish
I have these new metallic liquid lipsticks from Milani I have this
prehistoric covergirl lipstick that is not metallic but I feel like it's kind
of similar and I might actually mix some pigment into this this might look crazy
but this is what I'm doing I have another pigment and that maybe will make
it look more metallic I feel like it's already starting to look like what he
has on and on top of this I'm gonna apply that lip gloss that I have
we'll kick it up again we never forget cuz what we got
xox💖💖💖
