Two Koreas discussing details of North's participation in Paralympics - Duration: 1:34.
By all accounts, North Korea's participation the PyeongChang Winter Olympics went smoothly.
Those Games are now over, and today, representatives from South and North Korea are discussing
the North's participation next month in the PyeongChang Paralympics, and hopefully carry
on that momentum.
On the line we have Kwon Jang-ho, our correspondent at the unification ministry.
What's the latest, Jang-ho?
Good afternoon, Devin.
The afternoon session of talks between the two sides is currently ongoing.
The unification ministry revealed that they initially met at 10AM this morning...
and talked for about 45 minutes, before they broke for their own separate meetings and
lunch.
They discussed the arrangements for the North Korea's participation at the PyeongChang Paralympics
that will start on March 9th.
The details include the exact number of North Korean delegates and athletes, their travel
arrangements and accommodation.
This builds on an initial agreement was reached last month, that said Pyongyang would send
a 150-member delegation, including an art troupe and cheering squad, which is less than
a third of the near-500-member group that was sent for the Olympics.
In the morning meeting's opening remarks, the top South Korean representative commented
that the North's participation in PyeongChang made the event richer and had help spread
the message of peace and cooperation to the world.
The North Korean representative also expressed his side's satisfaction with the Games, saying
they helped elevate the stature of the Korean people.
Once the North Korean delegation list is confirmed, an expected final approval will need to be
given by the International Paralympic Committee.

Prosecutors demand 30 years for ousted leader Park - Duration: 0:45.
In a long-awated hearing, Korean state prosecutors have demanded 30 years in prison for former
President Park Geun-hye... for corruption and abuse of power.
That's five years longer than the sentence demanded for her close confidante Choi Soon-sil
for her role in the scandal that ended Park's presidency.
The prosecutors said a longer sentence for Park was needed considering the seriousness
of the case and the importance of her former role as South Korean leader.
Last year Park became the first South Korean president to be impeached and removed from
office, and was indicted last April on 18 charges.
She is accused of accepting bribes in exchange for political favours for a number of the
country's biggest conglomerates such as SK, Samsung, and Lotte.

of trees to be cut down!
To stop this, the World Heritage Committee
has warned Poland of fines of
up to a hundred thousand euros a day!
And the EU Court of Justice has
confirmed this logging as illegal!
Not only is this forest home to
several rare species of birds,
it is also the world's last refuge
for European bison!

take the cream on your hand
and put the dots of cream on your face
don't forget to apply bb cream on your neck area, under eye area and eyelids
now using beauty blender tap and blend bb cream on your face
whenever you are using bb cream/foundation
blend well so it will not gonna look cakey
now for eye makeup I am applying liner
for liner I am using COLORBAR MATTE EYELINER
like I had told you earlier that start applying liner from mid
so you will get perfect liner line from inner corner
so you can make wing liner easily
next I am applying MASCARA
I am using LAKME EYECONIC CURLING MASCARA in shade BLUE
before using mascara remove extra product form brush
as you get enough product for your lashes
this royal blue color give me a different look
now I am applying blush on my cheeks
here I am using LOREAL BLUSHING KISS
I am applying blush with the help of beauty blender
if you don't have brush you can use beauty blender too
keep smile on face when you are applying blush
as per this method you get the blush on your cheeks only
and in last I am using MAYBLINNE in shade 20 PIONEER for lipstick
so that was today's easiest makeup tutorial video

You're asleep, and Victor's asleep, and I probably should be trying to get to sleep,
but I'm all wired and can't relax.
Considering I am really wired though, I might play around with magic and see if I can get
some kind of ward thing up and running like we talked about.
I don't... really know how I'll do that.
But I'll experiment.
Most of our magic is done with a sort of... throwing our intentions and feelings around, right?
So maybe it's as simple as throwing around intentions of protection and feelings of safety?
But... I guess I'll have to try rooting them to the location somehow?
Man, I don't know.
Anyway.
I'll go play with it and see what I can do.

KANE: Hey... so, whatever you did with the wards?
I think they worked.
The bar felt really different when I came downstairs today.
Safer.
Warmer.
Tighter, as weird as that sounds.
Kind of like something was wrapped around it.
Victor noticed it, too.
He said that he doesn't feel as afraid today as he did yesterday.
He's also been smiling more easily today, and his body language is a bit more relaxed.

It's another quiet night tonight.
Not because there's a lack of people here - there's a few, actually, but there's not
much for me to do for them.
People are just hanging out.
It's really nice, actually.
Victor's doing a lot better tonight, too.
He's been chatting with customers and often tidying things up before I can get to it -
again, not leaving me much to do.
He's a good kid, though.
I don't mind so much.
It seems to cheer him up to be helpful, as well.
Those wards are definitely doing something good.
People's shoulders seem to drop tension the moment they come inside now.

Victor's going to watch the bar while you sleep and I do a quick op shop,
or failing that a kmart run.

KANE: So, I think I found another way to strengthen the wards this morning, maybe.
I remembered when I was a kid, that Mumma used to tie decorative knots in cord and
hang them off the back of doorknobs, and she told me it was to keep the room or the house safe.
So I thought... maybe there was something to that?
So I did a chain of knots on a bit of twine.
Nothing fancy, but I figure... the magic probably doesn't mind if it's not complex macrame, right?
It's just a physical thing representing something ethereal, so like... it probably doesn't matter
if it's not super pretty or whatever.
So I was trying to like... put all those feelings of safety and protection into each knot.
Then when I was done, I hung that on the inside doorknob of the bar.
I guess we'll see later if it made much of a difference... this preventative magic stuff
is a bit like art or something, huh?
You kinda have to sleep on it to get any perspective on whether or not it worked out well.
Anyway.

KANE: Hey, so...
Victor's Dad came back this morning.
But he didn't come inside.
He stood outside the bar- we could see him through the window.
He just stared at the bar for ages, like he wanted to come in but
he couldn't bring himself to do it.
I thought he'd go away after a few minutes, but he didn't.
And I was thinking... well, we made our wards to protect the bar and the people in it,
but they aren't designed to send people who wish us harm away or anything.
Just because he couldn't come in, didn't mean he was motivated to leave.
So I just... prodded, a little.
Magically, I mean.
Encouraged him to let this go and leave.
And... he did.
He just walked away.
Victor's still a little shaken up by it even though his Dad didn't come inside,
which is understandable.
But he says he feels safe here, so that's good.
I think we should try and tweak the wards to send away bad intentions as much as keep
them out, but other than that... we did it.
We protected our turf and our people.
And we did it without any harm coming to anyone.
Victor's Dad might come back, but
I feel pretty sure that he won't be able to come after Victor any more.
I think...
I think we're all going to be okay.
