My wife and a kiddo took a long nap. Today we also gonna
pick up our last family member, one of my wife's older sisters. She's coming from
Switzerland. She is the one we visited like five years ago. We went there for a wedding.
And right now we're picking up the other one from work. She works in a grocery
store but it's not like a regular grocery store. It is produce from
all over Europe and there is like a lot of good stuff there which is like
almost back from home. It is kind of weird.
I mean this impressive. They have all the meats, the sweets, the teas and a lot of
other stuff. And this is like a small store. They have another one in the other part of the city
which is larger I think it's like a second or something largest in the
whole Florida. But certainly the largest in Jacksonville. If anybody finds this video

you got the the razor blade 15 did you are you talking to compress a company
that makes something out of beautiful bulletin machines aluminum it's
pronounced aluminium aluminium and that's Apple like yes it's a cool Apple
like this is a this is the new one right right yeah we have the old 13 inch blade
still great laptop cable a car quad-core hyper threading beautiful apt I actually
tried to produce videos on this at e3 unfortunately no integrated graphics was
kind of my downfall but this guy has got integrated graphics we're not sure of
the specs yet you know I've never I never get to unbox these haden-guest
unbox on these welcome to the gwelf into the cult of razor okay but that sounds
like a very Apple thing you get out of here
see now this is very this is very like another company that is pretty
nice-looking you get your rubber strap for your cables braided is a fixed power

in fact we have the curves yep the bezel is is honestly for its vintage pretty
massive but this you have your XPS 15 got your zero bezel kind of us still
have the webcam up top but still that top bezel is not that
tell Nestle is not the webcam is spectacularly small I mean who really
cares they cover it up anyway I gotta say I like this keyboard I've loved
Razer keyboards the lighting is just beautiful he's ready so it looks like
just so intense I really it's really hard to get they are just it feels like
half your power budget is going to the keyboard let's find out what's in here
though and then look look the bard you can
touch it but it's not necessarily gonna do anything okay no you actually have
function keys things cooking it is a 1070 so you got a 1070 gtx 1070 in here
a core i7 so let's find out what is it uh I think it's a 8750 probably so yeah
so 8750 h2 to base these CPUs if properly cooled will push four gigahertz
all day for the most part movie and the panel is at an EP so we have a 1080p
panel that we've got a 4k option but here's what you want to know though is
how does it compare in physical I'm gonna hide these other things because we
are going to be doing some some quick testing later to see how they do this is
the brand new XPS 15 95 70 it also has the same CPU the core i7 80
sub 50 H H in core i7 about a 1050 TL but a 10 to 50 Ti Matt max Q that is
nowhere near the same ballpark as a 1070 max euwe 1070 max Q is a great GPU when
it's properly cool you know you do have a smaller bezels but then that's because
you get the chin cam over here but but other than that I mean those vessels
aren't too far yeah look at that you're going to get a shot here that's close
that's very close that's pretty good bezels and then I'm amazed look at the
body here same thickness it's pronounced aluminium aluminium oh yeah that is that
is just about the same so you see the harder angles on the knee on this razor
they were previously it was more curved harder angles the speakers I think have
been really relocated the power and the bezels and dipping is they're
able to razor says they're able to run a 1070 max-q in this laptop because they
use a gigantic vapor chamber if you if you go back and look at our original
video it's giant slug of copper they have great big vapor chamber this
uses a traditional heat pipe the other of course natural competitor to this is
the MacBook Pro 15 this is the brand-new MacBook Pro 15 when he is someone that's
hot don't burn your hands man yeah I don't want to actually you the edges
will actually cut you but again you can see Apple really went for thinness on
the body look I mean but you feel those in the in the keys you filled in the
keys you give up you may get thinness but the keys are I gotta say not great
and there's a lot of internal compromises I mean look at the stack up
here this is an eighth Gen 6 core with a 1050 Mac ti max Q this is a 6 core Core
i7 with a 1070 gtx 1070 max Q and this is a core i9 sorta with a Radeon last
generation 5 5 5 X it's a pretty old Polaris part it's not gonna hold a
candle to that 1050 Ti and this 1070 will just destroy it I mean if in GPU or
gaming related you know I I know people say well radios are great for compute
but yeah but well they are good for compute but I gotta say I'm not sure
they're gonna they even to compute on the Radeon 5 5 5 X I don't think it's
gonna be faster than 10 70 max Q also also you're not gonna be gaming on this
and you're not gonna be getting on to gaming on this is a Mac but check this
out this is the last piece of the pie I've been using the razor phone it just
fits so nicely within that family or maybe you're right you just get this
thing out of the way that aluminium design you know it just it just it just
fits right in there that whole white style I can see it you know when they
say cult of razor you can honestly see yeah
I want my razor phone and razor laptop you raise headphones you got you razor
mouse there's like a company that kind of does that already how to pushing that
lifestyle cult yeah it's weird but this is cool I mean the black is cool the
hard edges are cool the ID kind of like matches up it's all the harder edges so
here's here's the big thing for me not only does it have a design and I
understand that not everyone's gonna love the design it is a razor design so
you know some people might think it's a little gaudy or both the whole the whole
razor aesthetic but the thing is is that you you still get a pretty good design
but you get power because that's the problem with this you got all design and
you losing out on power like this I think you're getting both you know even
with the Dell you get a lot of power the Dell design I mean it's it's pretty
they've made strides but I mean it still doesn't this is a different look every
different look yeah I mean that's yeah if I was if I was gonna try to find a
sweet spot between power and design I do appreciate what razors doing but you
know it's thinner you're right I can't you got me there but I what I
don't get is if you're somebody who gets yes thinner that's great I need that
project two hours ago I'm still rendering that out loss my laptop over
he then again I just stick it in the freezer to get those render times down
so yeah we're gonna do some testing on this this new razor yeah let's see these
are both core i7s but I mentioned see how it does against the Apple even
though it has the core I nine in it let's look at the bottom does the bottom
does matter to some people you get you get some obvious venting this looks like
exhaust probably right I think they all exhaust from the neons right oh you know
actually a lot of the thickness I forgot so a lot of thickness on movie is from
on the razor blade Oh even even that's - yeah so you know of course a lot of
people say well why'd you put such big feet on a razor remember this is a ten
seventy max Q and eight and a six core CPU you do not want to get the sink down
and have the Vance blocks while you're using it you do not want to do that so I
understand why Razer put the large feed on there okay I'll grab a caliper
out but I kind of wonder if you turn it over maybe we get a better feel for how
they actually are in thickness book still thinner it's still thinner but
this is ten seventy max Q this is a florist 5 5 5 X mobile part so this is
10 70 Fidel definitely thicker right even with that way so why don't we why
don't we cut for a minute and we'll come back and do some some benchmark
cinemates will do that'll quick it's easy we'll be right back hey so we're
back we just finished running a couple quick benchmarks on from a brand new
razor blade razor blade 1515 razor blade 15 has 6 core Core i7 in there and a gtx
1070 max-q but we forgot to mention that this model has the 144 Hertz refresh
rate panel yeah so that's nice it's not a higher res but I think I'd almost
rather have 144 it is just beautiful yeah even if you're not gaming it just
makes smoothies on everything else but so we're gonna put this razor but we put
this razor blade 15 up against the brand new Dell XPS 15 95 70 also same CPU core
i7 but GeForce GTX 1050 TI max q and also the brand new MacBook Pro 15 with a
core I 989 50 HK and I was wrong I said was a Radeon pro 5 5 5 f it's actually a
Radeon Pro 560 X yes come on he's 5 better give it its due come on fly
better so what are the results man what's what's the takeaway this is just
a quick test quick test you know the quick test is no kidding
these both of these are core i7 laptops and this is the problem with thin
designs like the MacBook Pro every bit as fast this slightly slower and I think
it's because of all the graphics hardware it has to cool 9:23 on the on a
single run from reboot refresh on the razorblade 15 but it's core i7 it's an
80 750 H part right this MacBook Pro has a core I 918
50 HK which has a base clock of 2.9 gigahertz in a turbo boost clock give
everything great of 4.8 gigahertz it got nine nine nine nine slightly faster and
this is what we will really iterate this is after the firmware patch that
happened on Tuesday so this is this is a patch MacBook well what about the Dell
what about the Dell so the Dell now this tells you how it's all up to the PC
vendors to tune just like Apple tune this MacBook Pro 15 to the tired of the
game oh you're right they forgot they forgot to tune it but that's cool this
is where they fixed it it's good XPS 15 core i7 87 58 11 88 11 88 versus nine
nine nine that's perfect 200 more I don't know what that means
more nuts but more numbers a bit it means it's faster in multi-threading it
means they're pushing those cores to run if higher clocks it means basically this
Dell XPS 15 with the bottom and coffee like each part is faster than this
MacBook Pro 15 with the very high-end core I 9 CPU and it but it's also faster
than the razor blade which has the same exact thanks you but you're thinking
that because of the thermals of the 1070 right it could be razor said we're gonna
we know we have a 1070 in here it's not exactly a cool GPU we're gonna have to
sort of scale things back a little bit it also could could be because Dell
likes to swing for the fences on CPU Dell is one of those companies there's a
couple like that there's a mossad there's a sous they generally like to
swing for the fences all the time we're seeing that in the XPS 15 it just is
faster than the same razor blade and it creamed the MacBook Pro 15 with a cry 9
CPU in it to be fair we did also run the OpenGL test basically they're all the
same just goes to show you how weak OpenGL is on the PC at this but a 1070
max Q is not the same as a Radeon 4:05 60x no definitely especially in
real-world testing so no matter what you know if you're using premier if you're
doing a video encoding on on the razor blade it's it's it's gonna kill it so I
think what we do next time next week maybe is kind of get all the the MacBook
Killers together and run some runs even more tests and kind of lay out the
results of that because especially you know there's so much talk about real
world benchmarking so everybody wants to suddenly run premiere in the world yeah
well we have plenty of premiere files to work with so I think we load up you know
do a ton of testing on all well we're on a couple games will run premiere maybe
run a couple other cross-platform benchmarks and it'll be interesting to
see how it goes I suspect macbook killer we already know
the answer to it but we're gonna find out we're not if we're wrong we're wrong
but I got to say I think we're we know where it's headed ma'am cool all right

Will Video Games Eventually Replace Your Therapist? - Duration: 4:59.

You might have heard that video games are bad for you.
They'll rot your brain, or make you violent, or antisocial, or something.
And parents often fret about what their child or teen's gaming hours are doing to their brains.
But what if we're thinking about video games all wrong?
Well, that's what some psychologists think.
Counterintuitive as it might seem, they're studying how we can use video games to improve
mental health, especially in kids and teens.
Studies estimate that only about a third of American teenagers with mental health disorders
actually receive treatment.
That may be because their parents are worried about the cost of therapy – which isn't
always covered by insurance – or because the kids are worried about the social stigma
that comes with "seeing a shrink".
So some psychologists think there's another way to help them out—give them video games.
Already, they're a nearly ubiquitous feature of the American childhood—surveys estimate
that over 90% of kids between the ages of 2 and 17 in the US play video games.
So they're socially acceptable, and relatively inexpensive.
Plus, since kids can play in their own homes, they can maintain their privacy.
And video games are fun.
You might not think it's important that therapy be fun, but enjoyment of an activity
does increase your motivation to keep doing it.
And all that means there's huge potential for certain video games to help mental health—but
only if they actually work.
And they just might.
Though the evidence is very preliminary, several trials have shown promise in using specially
designed video games to treat mild to moderate mental illness.
Many of these therapeutic games are based on already existing treatments like cognitive
behavioral therapy – a type of good ole talk therapy which aims to help people identify
and alter problematic thoughts or behaviors.
For example, researchers in New Zealand created a game called SPARX for treating depression.
Through playing, kids ultimately learn strategies for relaxation, social interaction, and dealing
with difficult emotions and situations much like they would in therapy.
But that's all disguised as an interactive fantasy video game.
When the game's designers compared it with regular counseling in a trial of nearly 200
kids, both groups showed about equal improvement, indicating that SPARX might be just as effective
as therapy.
And similar results were found by researchers working with a game called MindLight.
In MindLight, children navigate through a scary mansion, learning techniques to control
their anxiety along the way.
And in a preliminary trial of 174 kids with anxiety, six weekly sessions of gameplay worked
about as well as eight weekly sessions of cognitive behavioral therapy.
Similar trials have been conducted on games designed for adults with equally positive
results.
Though such findings still need to be replicated by other researchers – ones who weren't
involved in making the games – before these games could become widely-accepted therapies,
the results are encouraging.
Scientists are now designing games to try and treat everything from addiction to eating
disorders to ADHD.
There are even some in the works to help manage psychosis.
Other researchers are hoping to create social support networks in virtual reality, or integrate
video games into therapeutic programs.
And they might not have to create all these games from scratch.
Researchers have found playing certain simple distracting games like Peggle and Bejeweled
can improve mood, so they could help manage stress or even depression.
And the right game could maybe even help treat illnesses like PTSD.
In one 2010 study, researchers had 60 healthy participants watch a traumatic film and then
play Tetris, a word game, or no game at all.
In the following week, subjects had fewer flashbacks concerning the film if they had
played Tetris compared to the other two groups.
The researchers think that may be because visual games like Tetris somehow interfere
with the storage of the traumatic images as long-lasting memories.
Though, this has yet to be confirmed with people who've experienced actual traumatic
events.
And the word game actually made flashbacks worse in one experiment— so the choice of
game seems to be really important.
None of these studies invalidate the research that has found some games, especially violent
ones, can possibly increase stress and aggression in some people.
So if doctors are looking into using video games therapeutically, they'll need to be
careful about which they use and how they use them.
Not to mention though, they'll have to consider the effects of different games might have
on different types of people, because even games designed to be therapeutic probably
won't work the same for everyone.
But, the results coming from these preliminary studies using video games in a more clinical
way are exciting, especially to psychologists working with younger patients.
And that's because mental health disorders seem to be a growing problem among children
and teens in America, with rates of things like depressive episodes and anxiety jumping
20 to 30 percent in recent decades.
While traditional therapies can be highly effective, they often don't reach the kids
who need them the most.
So even though there's a lot of work to be done, there's hope that video games will
one day make therapy more widely accessible, leading to happier healthier kids.
And in the meantime, maybe you can tell the haters that rag on you for your gaming to
chill out a bit.

Top 10 Final Video Game Bosses That Were Ridiculously Easy To Beat - Duration: 6:01.
Nothing is more groan worthy than getting to the end of a really enjoyable game and
coming head to head with a final boss who goes down quicker than a Mario Kart on a banana
peel.
It's oh so painful.
So today we're recounting the disappointment with our list of the top 10 final video game
bosses that were ridiculously easy to beat.
Most of the games on this list are critically acclaimed, and some are flat out iconic, which
perhaps makes these final boss battles even worse.
10 Joker – Arkham Asylum Arkham Asylum is a fantastic game.
It spawned a franchise of Rocksteady Batman video games that were almost all critically
acclaimed.
But the game has one major flaw that many fans didn't enjoy; the final boss battle
with the Joker, where the penultimate villain jacks himself up on toxins.
For starters, that kind of tactic is a bit out of character for the clown prince of crime.
Second, the battle felt a little forced; jacked up Joker jumps up and sends his minions after
you, then occasionally jumps down so you can dish out some damage to him.
And it wasn't all that challenging; it didn't offer up anything new in the game, either.
Luckily, Rocksteady made up for it with Arkham City and the final boss battle there, but
there's still a few gamers out there who are sore over Asylum.
9 Ganon Ganon is not a foe to be taken lightly as
far as The Legend of Zelda is concerned.
Unless you're playing Ocarina of Time, that is.
Despite his terrifying aesthetic, the final battle against Ganon is actually fairly simple,
once you get the swing of it.
It's repetitive, and as long as you make sure to roll between his legs and slash his
tail, as long as you keep the pace, the battle is incredibly straight forward and manageable.
Not so threatening now, are you Ganon?
Ganon's lack of diversity in his attacks is what makes this possible, which is a bit
of a shame considering the rest of the game is considering to be one of the best titles
of all time, despite its severely aged graphics these days.
8 Natla - Tomb Raider Jacqueline Natla is similar to our last number
in the sense that all you really have to do is repeat the same move over and over and
you'll knock her out.
It's a bit of a shame; for a character that means so much to Lara's story, she's defeated
fairly simply.
Essentially, all you have to do is non-stop fire your uzis while doing somersaults as
a means of dodging her attacks, which is pretty lame considering she transforms into A WINGED
BEAST WITH FIRE BALL POWERS.
You don't even really need to aim well, either!
It's also worth noting that her attacks are strong, but the pillars scattered around
act as a significant amount of cover, and if you have any medi packs, you're sure
to withstand her attacks.
7 Jacknife – Mirror's Edge The 2009 EA Dice Mirror's Edge was arguably
a really well done game, but it's final confrontation with Jacknife, a former runner,
is incredibly anti-climatic.
All you have to do after he boards the helicopter is run and jump, causing him to fall to his
death.
While the gameplay immediately after is tense (you need to help Kate safely escape the now
falling helicopter which apparently gets so severely damaged from your jump and Jacknife's
firing that that it starts going down) it still feels like quite a letdown.
6 Saddler – Resident Evil 4 Saddler gets a lot of hype in Resident Evil
4, but when it finally comes down to facing it, it's not all that difficult to get the
upper hand on the terribly deformed monstrosity.
Once you determine where his weak spots are, it doesn't take long to fire away and deal
some serious damage to him.
The area in which you fight him gives you a lot of advantages; there's a lot of traps
and areas you can sneak into when trying to avoid him.
Plus, after you've gotten his health down significantly, Ada just shows up and gives
you a one hit kill rocket launcher, which kind of makes the whole battle redundant to
begin with.
5 Black Hand – Shadow of Mordor The Black Hand of Sauron final boss battle
is essentially a game of cat and mouse, which is then followed by a quick time event.
While it may do the narrative justice, in terms of actual skill it didn't really challenge
players all that much, despite the Talons of the Black Hand you fight off prior being
much more interesting.
There is a timer though, so for some, that may add some level of intrigue, but still.
4 Lambent Brumak – Gears of War 2 For something so terrifying to look at, this
final boss is a piece of cake.
Just hold down the trigger down for the Hammer of Dawn to fire.
Keep that up and it'll eventually die.
Which is pretty funny considering everything else leading up to this final boss in the
game is hard as balls.
Moving on.
3 Fontaine (BioShock) Fontaine is quite the physically imposing
boss, but unfortunately, was more of a letdown than a challenge.
Despite BioShock being a wonderfully crafted game, players quickly found out that there
was an easy tactic you could use to finish the baddie in no time; you can blast Fontaine
with the chemical thrower weapon, with the electric gel leaving the boss pretty much
paralyzed.
From there, you just shoot, without having to fear for any real repercussions.
Plus, if your weapons were upgraded fully by the end of the game, the damage you deal
is pretty superior, meaning the battle will be over in no time.
2 343 Guilty Spark Aside from typically being considered one
of the most annoying video game characters in history, Guilty Spark is also a pretty
crappy boss.
It's incredibly easy to take out, and its own attacks towards you are really predictable
and easy to dodge.
Despite being able to fly around, it lingers A LOT, and it doesn't even bother to use
its small size to its advantage.
It feels as if it was just an afterthought to the game, a boss battle slapped on the
ending of a story otherwise jam packed with other memorable and compelling moments.
1 Lucien – Fable 2 Nothing is more anti-climatic than not getting
to brutally destroy a villain that has driven you absolutely mental the entire game.
Fable 2 features one of those moments.
The final encounter with Lucien, a character who has antagonized you right from the start
of the game, is nowhere near the kind of justice that players wanted.
Dude kills your sister at the start of the story, and all you get is hop and a skip and
a short cut scene.
While there is some satisfaction in shooting him after his shield was down, if you listened
to his last words and waited too long, someone else would shoot him.
