Cyberpunk 2077 State of the News - Pijama Rant - Duration: 16:17.

Greetings Earthlings! Welcome to the MadqueenShow!

I am your host the MadQueen

On today's menu we have a pajama rant after the forced holidays for a couple of weeks,

and for once I can't blame YouTube, they were quick and did their job well and fast,

you know that I'm the first to complain about them when they screw but it's also

important to note when people do things right, and this is one of the cases, no complaint

about how quick YouTube resolved all my issues

So on today's menu, I'd like to address the question people are asking: why is there

no news about cyberpunk in my channel lately with the number of things that are there to

explain right now and, well, the thing is that, amongst other things I will explain

later, it's very frustrating

I started talking about Cyberpunk 2077 a little more than a year ago, I don't know under

what rock was I sleeping that I discovered the game then, incredibly late, and I went

totally crazy, If you liked my reaction to the trailer you should've seen my first

reaction to the teaser because I just couldn't believe it and I watched it several times

to make sure that I watched what I watched

The thing is that I wanted to know everything about the game, and as I discovered things

I wanted to share them with you, apart from the lore and all the things that make this

setting so amazing, but the constant backlash I receive for the news is unreasonable

See, I leaked one year ago about the size of the map, with the Triple S league, people

didn't seem to like that I talked about it, I had a lot of hate coming my way for

that, some even followed me to other channels where I commented to tell me to shut up, that

I didn't know shit about the game, three months later, The CEO of CD Projekt Adam Kiciński

talked about that and confirmed the map was going to be huge

I also talked about the multiplayer, which wasn't exactly a leak, Kiciński mentioned

that several times, and now it's officially a thing, and again the same process, even

some time after the Know called me out for saying there was going to be a multiplayer,

until a couple months later they discovered the number of job postings about that on the

official CD Projekt web, and the grant, and Kiciński, and made a huge video about it,

but they forgot to mention that, yes, you know when we called out the MadQueen for that?

Well maybe, just maybe, she wasn't that wrong after all

Then I wanted to know about the working conditions at the studio, because at that time the controversy

raised I recently quit from a studio, also working on an artistic field and also high

end, where they treated us the employees appallingly and they did all the things CD Projekt was

accused of doing, and I wanted to know, because if all this was true I wasn't going to make

any more Cyberpunk videos, I interviewed 42 developers because after all, developers are

the ones who should say what's going on, and I proved the thing was blown out of proportion,

same result, hate going my way, even some YouTuber whose name I'm not going to mention

because I'm more elegant than him, who has a sub count way bigger than me, sent his dogs

my way to harass me for weeks until I revealed the name of the devs I talked to, which obviously

didn't happen, with a lot of hate like "who's going to talk to you, you're a no one",

etc Guess what?

4 months later the former developer Ryan Pergent talked about it on his blog and he basically

said the same I did: everything is blown out of proportion

By the way, the guy sending his dogs after me, in the end, I should thank him because

this whole thing gave me the chance to prove where my loyalty stood, obviously with developers,

and this earned me some friends at the studio

The same process happened several times, when I talked about the new generation of Sony's

consoles saying the cycle was ending, and again, people calling me crazy, and a couple

of months later the CEO of Sony confirmed that their cycle was ending, surprise!

Or I talked about the 4th game of the Witcher, 4 months ago, same result, until YouTubers with more subs

count found out shortly ago and I had people coming to my channel to ask how is it that

I wasn't talking about that, and I'm like "Seriously?

I talked about that 4 months ago?"

And, by the way, Kiciński didn't confirm anything and I was wrong in the video I made

4 months ago, I just found out that, so you'll probably will need another 4 months until

someone else finds out

And I have tons more of examples, you're free to check for yourself, my videos are

public, the title and the date when I talked about it, the reaction over it, and you can

google yourself when it got confirmed, not because they were leaks, lots of things I

say come with a proof in the video but it seems that people have not been listening

to Adam Kiciński all this time

Seriously, this lovely gentleman "only" the president of the company

Only

He may know a couple of things about the game

Unstoppapable power

Unlimited access

make the impossible happen with Cobalt V9

By Agent

Available in selected stores 5/9/2077

So, receiving backlash when you're wrong, no one likes that, but it's understandable,

I've been wrong many times, and I can't complain about complaints because they're

well deserved, but receiving it when you're right is quite frustrating, even more when

you have such a good record of being right, and even even more when you're providing

proof in the video, but I sometimes feel like I need the approval of YouTubers that have

more followers than me, if they don't talk about it I must be wrong, well… maybe they're

just slower than me

So, yes, now that there are so many people giving news on Cyberpunk 2077 you don't

really need me for that, you'll have to wait until they learn about things, so you

may receive the info months later but, yes, is quite frustrating and I rather talk about

other things that are more rewarding, so I'll only talk about news when there's something

that really blows my mind or in Evening Gaming News with Mr Ruvver

So, you have other people for this job

And good luck trying to find out what's going on with Cyberpunk because right now

the state of the news is a complete mess

A total and absolute mess

All the info out there is contradictory, and I'm not talking about rumors, they are there,

they're hard to control, but no, I'm talking about news given by "respectable" outlets,

if things keep going like this I swear if I read an article that says that Cyberpunk

is set in the XIX century in London I'm not even going to be surprised, there's

no unified message about the game, the information is contradictory and,

obviously, people is confused

I didn't see it by myself, I've been told, but it makes sense, that recently someone

from the studio said in an interview that he hoped people would have more trust in them,

and I don't think that in here we have a problem with the community not thinking CD

Projekt is a trustworthy company, the community is just confused

Totally

The info about the game is not unified, is so contradictory

The thing is that no one saw the demo, well some of us did, but you know what I mean,

the community didn't see the demo, and obviously I'm not criticizing this decision from CD

Projekt, first because it's their product so their decision, period, and second because

I saw it and I totally understand why it can't be shown to the general public

But

Even with a very valid reasoning behind that, it doesn't change at all the fact that the

community didn't see the demo, and to learn what's going on they need to rely on the

journalists that did see the demo but have no fucking clue of what did they see

The thing is that CD Projekt didn't make it very easy with this, when you watched the

demo you had this highlights

with information that explained a little about it, basic stuff, then while

we were watching it we had a dev explaining stuff, mostly about the gameplay, then you

have the press kit of the game, three pages, only one and a third of text, that may be

enough for your average game but I believe not for this one, we're talking about a

new IP in a setting that people is not used to with an incredibly rich and complex universe,

and this universe not only provides a context, but defines the gameplay

And even with all this complexity, the info CD Projekt gave was minimal, and not only

minimal, pretty hard to understand if you're not used to the setting, they gave this brief

info and expected everybody to understand it, and I believe that was way too much faith

So they just sat there and expected journalists to make the appropriate questions,

journalists that, again, didn't have enough tools to understand the universe

and too lazy to go to the internet to find more info, let's be honest

the sourcebooks are really easy to get

so, they just sat there and expect the journalists to make the appropiate questions

journalists, that, again, didn't have enough tools to understand the universe

if you don't count the inmense amount of resources on the internet

so, please, don't understand I'm blaming CD Projekt here

and, obviously, these journalists were going to make the most basic questions about the gameplay

And what happened?

Well, I remember an interview with game director Adam Badowski on Kotaku where he was complaining

about not being asked for the transhumanist side of the game, well, sweetheart, did it

occur to you that journalists just didn't understand that this was a thing in this universe

On the other hand, the universe is so complex that overwhelming people with all the info

would be, well, overwhelming, and maybe the effect would've been even worse, so I'm

not saying they did the wrong thing, I don't really know, what I'm saying is that shit

happened, and journalists are lazy

they spent a lot of time surrounding this game with secrecy and it seems that it's

not completely working out, because people are filling the gaps as they can, creating

an insane confusion around it

Because the first impact was great, everybody was so blown away, oh the demo is so insane,

is so mind-blowing, is wuo!

Ok, the first wave moved on, and now the community wants more details, so they ask the journalists:

it was mind-blowing but how?

Well, ah.. yep Mind-blowing

But how? Tell me about the features

Yep, mind-blowing

Even the information given by them is sometimes

contradictory, to give you an easy example, you read the press kit and it says that you

can enter the net

THE net

Oh, cool, we have the net in the game, and then in an interview with Mike Pondsmith he

talks about the micronets of the third edition after the DataKrash and you're like, so

are we talking about THE net or the micronets? Not the same thing

That's a simple example, but there are many more, this is getting really

confusing, and there is no unified message about it so, obviously, the community is very

confused, journalists are confused, and lazy, everybody is confused

Honestly I don't know if E3 was supposed to be the real beginning of the marketing campaign,

they really are introducing the universe with this "frame by frame" explanation of the trailer that, again, if

you don't know the universe is hard to understand, and if you are one of those who have a hard

time understanding it, Last Know Meal is doing a series on it

The task they have in front of them of explaining the universe is not going to be easy, but

is going to be necessary, and I think is going to help a lot and make it easier for both

community and journalists to understand the universe and the gameplay features that are

defined by this universe

Now we have GamesCom ahead, I guess they're going to show the same gameplay privately,

and that's just a guess, people are hoping for a second trailer, that would be just great,

even more if it had the Net on it

but don't take this as something anywhere official, they didn't say anything

that's just a hope

and I also hope this second wave of opportunities to talk about the game with a wider audience

puts all the information back on track with a unified message in a way that the community

has a clearer idea of what's going on because, again, I don't think that the problem here

is that the community doesn't trust CD Projekt, they are just confused

Fortunately for all of us, if you're tired of being confused you always have a solution,

that is getting your info from the official forum at cyberpunk.net, you have a lot of

official news and links to other news, good thing is that it has a filter, you have RED

people there managing it, meaning that bullshit is cut really fast, and sometimes developers

answer questions from the community, so I believe it's the only source of information

that is 100% reliable right now, along with video interviews, I don't trust written

interviews because they are always rewritten by the person making them and words and their

meaning is changed, so you know, cyberpunk.net, get your news there and some of your fears

about the game that are fueled with confusing and contradictory information will be calmed

Well, folks, thanks for watching

Don't forget to take a look at our lore playlist to learn everything about the universe,

now 50 videos long I believe, and people are asking "Didn't you run out of things to explain yet?"

When I said I just warmed up I wasn't kidding, I just gave the basics, when I say this universe

is huge I mean in, again, two words: FUCKING HUGE

See you in next videos and stay being amazing!

5 Habits That Will Change Your Life - Duration: 7:59.

In life, the smallest actions can sometimes have the biggest results and

that's why in this video we are going to explore five simple habits

that can completely change your life for the better in just a few minutes a day.

Number one is doing the scary thing socially; this transformed my life.

You see, I was extremely shy up until I was about 20 years old and I only broke out of it

when I started asking myself, "What am I afraid of doing right now?"

At first, it was little things like saying one extra sentence to a cashier

to make that interaction more human then it was asking a stranger for directions —

maybe a recommendation of where to eat in a new area of town.

And eventually the scary thing was sharing everything that I've learned here on YouTube.

And terrifying as the judgement was, it turned out to be one of the best things I ever did.

So wherever you are, from super shy to incredibly confident, lean into your personal social fears.

You're gonna see a massive gain in your self-esteem and you'll probably attract amazing new people into your life.

The second life changing habit is defining your ideal before you get realistic.

Many of us do the opposite here; we start with what we think is realistic

and then we pick the best option from there so if you ask an unhappy accountant

what kind of job they'd like they sometimes talk about moving to a different firm

but they often don't even think of changing career paths entirely.

Unfortunately, the obvious and realistic answers usually leave us feeling uninspired.

Instead, get yourself motivated by letting your mind run wild and honing in on your true ideal outcome.

Now, to do that, you can ask questions like — "What would I do with my life

if I had 100 million dollars in the bank after all the partying and traveling?"

Or, "What would I do in this situation if I wasn't afraid of rejection?"

The answers that you get might sound crazy at first

but it's these kinds of questions that are going to put you on a path

to doing something that you truly love and not just something that you can tolerate.

Third is the most valuable habit that I've picked up in the last year and that is meditation.

Now, there are tons of scientifically-backed benefits — more rational decision-making,

lowered risk of heart disease, up to a 50% reduction in the stress hormone, cortisol —

but despite all of that, it was just too boring for me to get into it first.

Luckily, I committed to doing it for two weeks and finally saw some real-life improvements.

Now when I feel myself starting to get upset or frustrated,

I can catch myself and correct course more easily.

I feel more alert, more positive, and less judgmental of other people.

And now, instead of feeling like I should meditate, I genuinely feel like I want to.

Now, I know that it can be tough to get started with so I've actually partnered

with a really helpful guided meditation app that I've been using called Simple Habit.

I'm gonna share my favorite tracks to listen to plus how you can get started for free

at the end of this video but for now, let's get to the fourth habit

which is cutting out the little white lies that seem like no big deal.

Now, if you're a fan of this channel you've heard me say this before but it's so important and it bears repeating.

When you tell a lie, that's like paying with the credit card.

It makes things easier in the moment but you have a debt to pay;

you've created a rift between yourself and reality and that comes at a cost.

Now, sometimes you pay the price when you're discovered and the trust in your relationship is damaged.

Other times, you're never actually busted you just lose respect for yourself

because you know that you're not a person who values their word.

In order to change your life here, stop going deeper into lie debt; correct yourself when

you've let a fib slip out and don't act in a way that you know isn't honest.

Even though this makes things uncomfortable in the moment, it's absolutely worth it for

your mental health and for building a strong foundation of trust into all of your relationships.

The last habit is to stop listening to music that makes you feel like you're missing something.

We often don't realize it but music is basically hypnosis.

The lyrics influence our beliefs and the composition affects our mood.

So if you constantly listen to love songs that say having a partner is the most important

thing in life, you might begin to feel down if you're single and you might even find yourself

desperate to be in any relationship instead of just enjoying life as it comes.

In fact, a study out of Western Australia concluded that even though people expect sad songs

will make them feel better they often serve to further reinforce our depressed moods.

Imagine if instead you listen to music that reminded you that you are not missing anything,

music that puts a smile on your face, and makes you a person that others

naturally want to be around, you don't have to cut sad songs out completely,

just make sure the ones that you listen to on repeat are supportive of your happiness.

And you give the test of right now by seeing how many of your top songs

make you feel good versus bad — bonus points for starting your happy playlist

when you wake up in the morning and start brushing your teeth.

So I hope that you found these five habits very helpfulp; I know they've made a huge impact on my life.

And I particularly think that meditation deserves a bit more of an explanation

so I'm going to share a bit more now about how I have gotten the most out of it

courtesy of our sponsor, Simple Habit.

Alright, meditation. Now, this is something we know that we probably should be doing

because if you're like me you've read articles and how good it is for your mind and body

and you maybe tried to do it before but because it's boring or you can't find time,

you haven't stuck with it.

Now, I'm going to be sharing my entire system for what I have found works for me

to create genuine benefit and not that much time in an entire separate video.

But for now, I want to talk about one part of that system which is the guided meditations

that I have been using via today's sponsor, Simple Habit.

So simple habit is an app and it's got all different kinds of meditations

and the ones that I've focused on that have been most impactful on me

are meditations to create more positivity, joy, and gratitude.

These are the emotions that I want in my life.

I want to laugh more and I want to feel grateful for the things that I have

but it's very easy as an entrepreneur or someone with a YouTube channel

or whatever it is with your life because we all do this to focus on the next thing —

"What is the problem today? What do we need to fix and solve? What isn't going right?"

— that's how we advance.

Unfortunately, we oftentimes don't feel really good about all that we have already done

and it leaves us achieving so much but feeling very much emptiness about it

and an inability to enjoy it for more than just a few moments or a few hours.

And so these meditations are kind of like training for your brain to focus on

what is already good and they make you feel excellent and that translates to

going out in the world being more charismatic and just generally feeling happier.

So what I've been doing are meditations that are seven days, thirty days,

are focused on joy, focused on gratitude... and you can get this stuff for free

using our code below which is www.simplehabit.com/charisma.

There's tons of free meditations in Simple Habit, you get a free week trial

of their Premium Subscription if you use that link and that means you can go through

the entire 7-day joy meditation and see if you like it,

check out some of the other meditations, see if you noticed

tangible changes in your life which I believe that you will, and if you do, it's only

$11.99 a month after that to stay which for me has been absolutely worth it.

So if you're interested in cultivating more gratitude, more positivity,

and more joy in your life, my recommendation is use the free week trial.

You have nothing to lose; if you don't like it,

you can stick with the free version and just use those free meditations.

Go ahead click the link below www.simplehabit.com/charisma

and you can get started today; it's like 5 to 10 minutes in the morning and it's had a huge impact on my life.

I'm looking forward to sharing more with you about what I've been doing with meditation

in another video but for now, I hope that you enjoyed this video.

Thank you so much to Zeino for the excellent animation and

I will see you guys in the next video.

BUFFING instead of NERFING | Overwatch - Duration: 10:15.

Nerfing Heroes in Overwatch is never a fun thing.

Well, at least for those of us maining said heroes.

More than ever before has our community reached out and spoke in favor of nerfing heroes less

frequently, and instead, buffing other heroes to increase their viability.

And that definitely makes a lot of sense when you first think about it.

Buffing heroes usually results in us having more fun playing them, while also making them

more viable.

So why wouldn't the devs try to do more of that and less of the ever so hated nerfing?

The reason I have never covered this topic on the channel before is because I thought

the concept of power creeping was common knowledge.

I mean, it is something that affected us to a degree in Overwatch already, and that even

though the Devs are nerfing heroes rather frequently.

Now, if you are not familiar with that concept, let me explain.

Power Creep, by definition, is a situation in video games where new updates introduce

more powerful units and abilities, thus leaving the older ones underpowered.

For a while, the new characters introduced to Overwatch would come with a host of mobility,

which in MOBA type games, is a very strong utility set.

One reason why Dive used to be so powerful is because of the benefits that come with

a high level of mobility.

Punishing enemy misplays very quickly, repositioning at will, choosing the battlefield and traversing

it with ease.

At the time, players in our community were observing this so called "Mobility Creep",

which as you can guess is a form of power creep, just that it doesn't affect damage

values.

But obviously, it is very powerful in its own right.

Blizzard, at the time did acknowledge that very issue and agreed that the meta was shifting

towards favoring high mobility, leaving low mobility heroes in the dust.

So the online definition of power creep very much applies in this case.

In an older video of mine I have discussed how map and hero design play into each other

in Overwatch, and how it makes it impossible for every hero to be viable at all times.

In that same vein, it wasn't just that mobility was a very useful ability set in MOBA type

games like Overwatch, it's also that the map design very often favored heroes like

that.

I came to the conclusion that, in order to make every hero viable, we'd either have

to wash every character down to give them similar ability sets including mobility tools,

or we would have to re-design most of the maps in the game to accommodate to the special

snowflakes that are, our heroes.

Now, as we all know, the Developers love their heroes and they also love the fact that each

and every one of them feels very unique.

They have even said that they would like to avoid having two heroes do, essentially, the

exact same thing.

Even though Orisa and Reinhardt are both main tanks featuring big shields- They still feel

fundamentally different.

So they serve the same purpose, but they fulfill their job in different ways.

Why does that matter for our discussion surrounding the buffing and nerfing of heroes?

Well, because there is more than one way of buffing a character to make them viable.

In a classic sense, players often think about the tweaking of damage and HP values when

discussing buffs and nerfs, but there are obviously other things we can do.

Recent example: The nerfing of Mercy.

Now, there is the general consensus among a lot of Mercy players that Blizzard is tweaking

the wrong part of her kit.

Stating that nobody cares about her healing output, and that they should rather work on

her rezz.

If we tried to make other support heroes viable without nerfing Mercy at all, because Blizzard

has also stated that they are determined to try and make rezz as an ability work in their

game rather than removing it entirely- There are about three obvious things we can do.

Tweaking values, changing abilities or replacing them outright.

Now let's talk about Mercy's biggest rival: Ana.

As a main support, she has been overshadowed by Mercy for a very long time to an extend

where she's been called a throw pick.

Ana has a very high healing output with very powerful utility added to her kit.

So how do we buff Ana to make her competitive next to Mercy?

We, as averages players, could suggest to either tweak some of her values, like increasing

her healing output, or we have to make her utility comparable to Mercy's.

The problem is that Mercy's utility consists of resurrection..

Arguably, the most powerful ability in gaming, period.

If you think about what Ana has to offer with her bionade and sleep dart- Both of these

are extremely powerful abilities in their own right.

So the fact that still nobody wants to play her shows us just how much they value Mercy's

rezz, right?

Well, yes and no.

Obviously I'm not gonna deny that rezz is a very powerful ability that players love

to have at their disposal, but the reason they prefer having Mercy over Ana is because

she completely changes the way you play the game.

With an Ana in your squad, you have to watch your sightlines for her to be able to heal

you at all, she also needs to have decent aim to even hit the shot, and even her incredible

utility is easily denied by the plethora of barriers that have been added to the game

by now.

Not to mention that her lack of mobility makes her a prime target in the backline.

Meanwhile, Mercy can zip around the air to stay alive longer, her healing isn't affected

by barriers and it also keeps coming uninterrupted by holding a single button over hitting shot

after shot.

Since Mercy is very much a belt attachment to the rest of your team, you don't have

to watch your sightlines, you don't have to think about capitalizing on a sleep dart

or bionade and you can just do your own thing while she is pocketing you.

Mercy has added a level of convenience to the game that greatly affects how players

approach Overwatch.

And that's not just because she can make up for our feeding once every 30 seconds.

It is very difficult to compete with that kind of a toolset, no matter how much you

tweak and buff other heroes.

Unless, you completely break them.

And I think I can speak for all of us when I say- Nobody wants that.

To compete with a character that delivers such a high level of convenience and utility,

we must make her a less appealing pick.

And nerfing her healing output is exactly where you start doing right that.

It doesn't matter how convenient a Mercy pocket is if it can't heal you through hell

and beyond anymore.

Mercy retains a high level of survivability together with her powerful utility, but she

becomes a less convenient character to run.

The goal here is to put value into a high healing output without introducing healing

creep.

A situation where the teamfights are incredibly drawn out because nobody can clap each other

anymore with the amount of healing available in the game.

Healing creep could result in an increased level of defender bias while supporting stall

tactics and tank heavy compositions aswell as completely ruining the value of heroes

that have sustainable damage over burst damage.

And that is just a tl;dr on why you don't want to buff Ana's healing, or anyone's

healing for that matter.

There is already a lot of sustain present in Overwatch.

Obviously, with how much I complain about this game when they break something, I'm

probably the last person you think about when it comes to praising the Devs.

But I hope that this explains to you why I believe that their decision to nerf Mercy's

healing output was actually very smart.

And while we're at it; Because I really don't spend enough time giving them credit:

Good job Blizzard and thank you for continuously supporting your game, even when I don't

always agree with your decisions.

Despite popular belief, I actually really enjoy playing Overwatch.

And no, I am not actively looking to switch games because I can't stand playing it anymore.

"THAT'S THE-- DID YOU SEE HOW BROKEN THIS FU**ING VIDEO GAME IS?!"

"I WAS BEHIND HIM AND HE STILL FU**ING PINNED ME!"

At any rate, to kinda add to some of the more basic things we have talked about that aren't

Mercy specific: The reason we can't keep buffing characters

is because the game was built with a certain balance in mind.

And I know how laughable that sounds to some of you.

But every PvP game is built with a certain TTK in mind, which stands for "Time To Kill".

Buffing characters just so you can avoid nerfing others means that you are messing with the

TTK which in turn could mess with how long a teamfight takes.

And that has been taken into consideration when building the maps and adjusting the time

bank.

So constantly buffing things could inherently break the game on this very fundamental level.

And if you start buffing things just to avoid nerfing other things then you end up in a

situation where you have to buff each and every hero constantly just to keep them competitive

with each other, because some of them will undeniably be left behind at some point in

the process.

So you can either nerf a hero a couple times until they fit well into the overall balance

of the game, or you spend an insufferable amount of time just buffing things to keep

them competitive with the things you buffed beforehand.

And before you say something like, "Well but you only have to do it once right now

in the case of Mercy."

please think about the chain reaction that this could have.

Even if we don't talk about tweaking values and potentially introducing a healing creep,

which again would affect every hero in the game together with how we play it, period,

remember what replacing an ability did to Hanzo?

They turned a character that occasionally one shots other heroes into one that virtually

one shots them all the time.

And added mobility ontop of that.

Bottomline is that- Nerfing is not a last-resort kind of practise that should only occur in

emergencies.

It is a very typical thing to do in games that are live services.

Especially ones that keep adding new characters with entirely new toolsets.

Sometimes, a hero is problematic for reasons other than what meets the eye.

Yes, rezz has been a point of contention for a long time, but that doesn't mean it'll

always be the big culprit.

It's possible for something like this to cloud our judgement of what could truly be

the case.

So many of us were complaining about the hiding Mercy that brought back her entire team, that

it's difficult for us to even realize that her healing output creates a big problem together

with the rest of her kit.

Mercy made us complacent.

She is a "Don't worry."

kinda hero that erases our mistakes and always follows us around to make sure we can do what

we do.

We have grown out of game sense intensive playstyles because Overwatch is a much more

convenient experience with a Mercy in your pocket.

But it has also become so natural to us by now that we don't even perceive it to be

an issue.

A lot of things in games in general, but specifically in Overwatch are closely entangled in a way

that many of us don't realize.

How healing and damage output relates to the TTK and how the TTK relates to map designs

and time banks.

In that same vein, we can't just look at the net amount of healing that our characters

provide.

We have to look at how they achieve these values.

Some of them do it with ease in relation to their toolkit, and others do it under great

pressure.

And all of these things have to be kept in mind before talking about what could be the

specific issue and how we should approach it.

With a buff, or with a nerf?

But I hope that after today's video you guys are more open and more educated for discussions

of that kind.

Discussions which you are more than welcome to hold down in the comment section below.

Do you still believe that rezz is the issue, or did I give you an idea on a creative solution

that we haven't thought of yet?

Can't wait to see if I changed your mind at all.

But until then, thank you everybody so much for watching, don't forget to drop me a

like on your way out if you enjoyed the video, subscribe if you wanna see more- And guys,

if you wanna help me out, consider sharing this video with a friend you think would find

it interesting.

Thanks again for watching and I hope to see you all next time.

Conspiracy Theories That Turned Out To Be True - Duration: 6:19.

No, the Earth still isn't flat, the Illuminati have yet to emerge from the shadows, and if

you really think you were abducted by aliens back in the '60s, chances are the CIA just

spiked your drink with LSD.

But don't throw that tin foil hat in the trash just yet; some of the most outlandish and

unlikely conspiracy theories ever posited have actually turned out to be frighteningly

accurate over time.

The foundations of society are still relatively intact, but the following conspiracy theories

should still be enough to have you suspicious of everything from the talking heads you see

on TV to that cold glass of beer in front of you.

"I stumbled upon a major company conspiracy, Mack, how's that for stress?"

PRISM

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden dropped a bombshell on conspiracy hounds and regular

folks alike in mid-2013.

His revelations were vast and wildly complex, but here's the only thing that matters: The

U.S. government has been spying on its citizens for years - yes, plural. years...

The big, writhing mass at the center of this can of worms was PRISM, a secret espionage

program under which the NSA had been monitoring the digital communications of American citizens.

With PRISM, the government can pull private user data from companies like Google, Microsoft,

and Apple.

The agency had also been collecting detailed phone records from the public since 2001,

intercepting millions of text messages, and even potentially spying on foreign governments

and world leaders.

But despite Snowden's revelations and the burning glare of public scrutiny, the government

hasn't really backed off all that much.

According to a Facebook transparency report, 78,890 account information requests were made

by governments around the world in the first half of 2017 an all-time high.

MK-Ultra

The U.S. was steeped in a heavy fog of fear and paranoia at the height of the Cold War,

and the government was determined to keep up with Soviet advancements in psychological

warfare by any means necessary.

According to witness testimony and classified papers released in 1977, the CIA had been

investigating the effects of hallucinogenic drugs like LSD in a series of behavioral modification

studies known as Project MK-Ultra.

Between 1953 and 1964, drugs were administered to U.S. citizens without their knowledge or

consent, and usually without medical supervision, just to see what would happen.

Universities, prisons, and hospitals were among the testing grounds, and addicts and

terminal cancer patients were among the victims.

But this is merely the tip of an iceberg still submerged in darkness the mass destruction

of documents relating to MK-Ultra by CIA director Richard Helms in 1973 means the full extent

of the project may never be known.

Operation Northwoods

As bonkers as some conspiracy theories tend to sound, they often take root largely because

of very real historical precedent.

Operation Northwoods is a frequently cited example of this kind of thing a chilling reminder

of the U.S. government's willingness to deceive and potentially harm its own citizens for

political gain.

The threat of communism loomed large in the U.S. in the '50s and '60s, and Fidel Castro

in nearby Cuba was a primary concern.

So much so, in fact, that the government planned to launch a fake Cuban terror campaign on

American soil in order to drum up support for an invasion against Cuba.

Plans included the fake bombing of a naval base, plane hijackings, and the sinking of

boats carrying Cuban refugees to Florida according to a 1962 document revealed in 1997.

The operation was ultimately quashed by JFK once he caught wind of it, and conspiracy

hounds have latched on to this as a possible motive for his assassination the following

year.

Naturally.

Canada's failed "gaydar" experiment

Canada was among the first nations to officially recognize same-sex marriage, but the country

wasn't always setting progressive precedents.

The government's development of this machine in the '60s is a shameful case in point.

During the Cold War, the Canadian government hired a university professor to develop a

technological method of detecting homosexuality in people, according to CBC.

Thousands of dollars were poured into this research, and the so-called "fruit machine"

was the result.

Subjects were shown pornographic images while cameras monitored their pupils for dilation,

which apparently indicated arousal.

The intention was to use this method to keep gay people out of public service and the military.

Funding was pulled in 1967, but thousands had already lost their jobs.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered an apology to LGBT Canadians in the House of

Commons in 2017 for having gone through all this:

"For state-sponsored, systematic oppression and rejection, we are sorry."

Hoover's COINTELPRO

FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover's Counterintelligence Program also known as COINTELPRO was launched

in 1956 and ran in secret until 1971.

Federal paranoia was dizzyingly rampant and the program aimed to, quote, "expose, disrupt,

misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize" any groups or individuals that threatened

the status quo.

Pro-labor, anti-war, black liberation, and civil rights groups were heavily targeted.

The list of public figures monitored as part of COINTELPRO is a who's who of 20th-century

cultural influencers.

Among them were Martin Luther King Jr., who was sent an anonymous letter by the feds urging

him to commit suicide, and John Lennon, whose radical views and affiliations started a 12-month

investigation in an attempt to have him deported.

Many of the victims were dismissed as needlessly paranoid conspiracy theorists at the time,

but those FBI files are now a matter of public record.

The truth wins out eventually or at least it's comforting to think so.

Prohibition's spiked moonshine

You might want to think twice before cracking open that 90-year-old bottle of moonshine

you've been setting aside for a special occasion.

There's a good chance it was poisoned by the U.S. government during Prohibition.

During Prohibition, industrial alcohol became an indispensable source of booze for bootleggers,

and around 60 million gallons annually were stolen, treated, and renatured by the bootleggers'

chemists by the mid-1920s.

It was then sold in speakeasies around the country to the public, most of whom had no

other means of procuring alcohol at the time.

In a hopelessly misguided effort to curb this practice once and for all, President Calvin

Coolidge pushed industrial manufacturers to add lethal toxins like methanol to their products

but the public's thirst for booze showed no signs of abating.

Bootlegging continued, and plenty of tainted alcohol wasn't successfully renatured, and

the public suffered greatly.

"Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinkin."

People got terribly sick, some went blind, and many died.

The death toll was said to be around 10,000 by the time Prohibition finally came to an

end.

How Anime Changed My Life - Duration: 3:15.

- I saw Oliver from afar.

It looked like he was under a spotlight.

From the very first moment I saw him,

it was like the angels cried

and I just knew from there it was love at first sight.

Ah.

- Growing up, going to school

was very difficult for me,

because I would suffer from anxiety.

I would always get like panic attacks.

It was very hard for me to make friends.

- Growing up, I really didn't have the best childhood.

I had a lot of instability,

moved around to multiple guardians,

was even in the foster system for a little while.

But Naruto's backstory of loneliness

and social ostracism is the first thing

that you learn about him in the show.

And never before in my life

had I seen my own struggles reflected

in a TV show like Naruto.

I immediately had the urge to want to join in

on that community and go to conventions,

but no one in my small town

even knew what anime was.

So I really mustered up all the courage that I had

and I pushed myself to go

to the first anime convention by myself.

Everyone that I met there was so inviting,

and so welcoming.

And I immediately made a ton of friends

that I still have to this day.

I saw Oliver from afar.

And he was in my favorite character's cosplay,

and I knew that we were destined to be together.

- And then from there on,

we started making videos on YouTube.

I've always had this dream

that I've always wanted to create my own videos.

So when we moved to Los Angeles,

we were struggling a lot.

It was our first time on our own,

we just moved out,

but no matter, we never stopped going to conventions

and making videos.

Because of my social anxiety,

it was really difficult for me to be on camera,

but anime and cosplaying pushed me

to believe that I can do it.

I can accomplish this,

so I never gave up and I always pushed myself

to make my visions come true

and fight my anxiety.

And I continued to create,

I gained the skills to land a job here.

- So without that experience,

me and Oliver would have never started making videos.

We would have never started cosplaying,

we would have never moved to Los Angeles

to follow our dreams.

- When I think about it

if I was never into anime in the first place,

I would have never gone to conventions

and I would have never tackled my anxiety.

- I would still be living in a small town

with my life dictated by people

that constantly told me that I couldn't do it.

With anime in my life,

I have role models like Naruto,

whose life dream is to become the Hokage,

the most powerful ninja ever.

And his motto is never give up, believe it.

- Anime teaches you that no matter

where you come from, your childhood, your personal setbacks,

none of it dictates what you are able to achieve.

I've met so many incredible people,

where we can connect

and enjoy how freakin' bad ass anime is.

- I just think that it's really amazing

that our entire generation grew up

with these characters that pushed them to never give up,

follow their dreams,

and I think that's really special.

And I'm really proud to be a part of that.

- [Oliver] Anime has brought me here to BuzzFeed.

(funky music)

- Hey, Unsolved is on a new channel,

and now your part.

- [Both] Subscribe here.

- That was my part.
