Testing Quattrovelo Velomobile - Duration: 9:36.
Hello, I'm Saukki.
Today I have a little bit different video than usual.
Well, it's only a little bit different.
There is going to be some Finnish language on this video, so please put on the subtitles.
Here I'm riding to meet Niko and his Quattrovelo.
Niko is riding from Oulu back to his home in Espoo.
We agreed to meet here.
Hi!
Okay...
You are having a little bit longer trip.
Hello!
After quick introduction we moved along to find something to eat for Niko
because he is on a long trip.
Right away I noticed that the Quatrovelo can handle this annoying rumblestrip
on the shoulder of the road much better than my Quest.
I have to choose on which side of the rumble strip I ride,
but Niko with his Quattrovelo can also ride on top of the rumblestrip,
because the Quattro has four wheels.
Does the wind effect to that?
Not much. In the beginnig I thought that it's the wind throwing me around at high speed
But I haven't noticed it anymore.
There was quite strong side wind back there
The side wind effects a little bit to my Quest.
I have noticed that the speed must be over 50 km/h until I have to counter steer.
How big is the front chainring?
Is it 70t?
75t
75t? Ok.
It's huge.
It looks funny because there is only 140 mm long crank arms.
Ah, they are so short.
The crank arm almost reaches the edge of the chainring.
The rear derailleur is custom built.
The chain tensioner is not at the derailleur, instead it's at the front.
There is only this cage instead.
It seems to be working well.
Why wouldn't it work...
There is this counterweight
It stops the derailleur to change gears on it's own on bumbs or something.
How much there is ground clearance?
Seems to be enough.
It seems that there is ground clearance as much as my Quest would without the chain tunnel.
Yep, so it seems.
Ah, it's so long. I didn't realize
I thought there is only this lump for the rear derailleur.
Yes, it goes all the way to the front.
Should I go for a test ride? If I just ride around the parking lot.
With this shoes.
That's ok if we don't want to exhange shoes.
You can ride more in Nokia.
If you have other shoes, take them with you.
Yes I could take my other shoes with me.
Then you can test more.
This was only a short test ride around the parking lot.
I didn't have right kind of cleats on my cycling shoes,
so we agreed that I can do more testing next weekend at the Finnish Recumbent Championships in Nokia, Finland.
By the way, it's going to be the last time the race is going to be located in the Nokia track.
Next year we have to find some other place for our races.
Ok, back to the Quattrovelo.
I was trying to make sharp turns so I could feel how the rear end behaves.
It feels completely different than my three wheeled Quest.
It feels somehow funny and it behaves in a way you wouldn't expect.
But still, it must be very stable in high speeds.
But that's something I wasn't able to test on the parking lot.
I have to do more testing next weekend in Nokia.
The rear end feels wierd.
Very wierd.
With this speed I couldn't tell how stable this is when going with high speed.
It shouldn't tip very easily.
Yeah, I think so.
At least few times the rear end starts to slip before it starts to tip.
Do you still have energy to ride to Kokkola?
Well let's at least start to ride in that direction and let's see how far I can ride.
Then I'm going to show Niko where is the camping site where he is going to sleep the next night.
I'll show him the quickest route so he doesn't have to worry about navigating.
She didn't look at all where she was going.
No.
You would think that you can see this kind of vehicle.
Damn, I almost crashed.
Yes, I was sure she would hit you.
Oh crap!
Yeah, that lady wasn't looking much.
No, she wasn't looking at all where she was going.
Awesome bikes!
You think so?
Where are you coming from?
I'm from Kälviä.
Ah, that's not far away.
I thought you are from The Netherlands because of the color.
Well, the bikes are from The Netherlands.
Yes, I guessed so.
Last week we had one lady with one of these.
Was she from Germany?
Yes she was.
Yes, I heard about that.
She was staying here?
Yeah.
There are not so many velomobile riders here in Finland, so if there is someone foreigner, we know about that.
Yeah, I'm sure there aren't so many foreigner riders visiting Finland.
Not very much.
Have you been riding any long trips?
Well, he rode last week from Espoo to Oulu.
From Espoo to Oulu?
How many days did you rode?
One day.
One day!?
Are you joking?
Really?
Now I'm going back in three days.
It turned out to be like sport.
How long did it take?
Ride time was just over 22 hours.
So it was just within a one day.
That's tough...
How long between breaks?
The longest was about 5 hours.
The other one is a four wheeler.
Ah, okay.
It's like a little car.
Like a pedal car.
Well kind of...
Is it heavier to ride if it has four wheels?
I can't say about that.
Well, basically it should have more rolling resistance.
But a four wheeler is much more stable.
They are quite expensive.
Yeah.
Some say that you can buy a car with the same price.
But why would you want a car if you can have this kind of bike.
That's right.
Okay, that's all for today.
Stay tuned for the next week's video about the races in Nokia.
Meanwhile please remember to subscribe to my channel
and also visit my webshop and buy my T-shirts or other kind of stuff.
Thanks for watching and see you on the next video! Bye bye!

FOREST FIRE! THANK YOU FIREFIGHTERS! || Just Mandy! Video #13 - Duration: 9:11.
hi guys! I didn't really do much of an intro for this, I just heard the
helicopter and kind-of wanted to come get a view of it, if I could, for you guys. so
far it doesn't sound like it's going back over right now, but I'll try to run
back out here with the camera and get some footage of it... for those of you
unfamiliar, there is a wild fire going on about three miles away from my house!
uh-- it was caused about 10 or 11 days ago by lightning! lovely! so that's my adventure,
guys! that's my "Just Mandy!" drama for right now, so... that's just-- that's just
one of the trials of living in the forest; is, lightning strikes happen, and
forest fires happen, but luckily it's pretty cool-- when we get these fires, and
we've been getting them almost every year now-- when we get these fires, they're
actually labeled as a Natural Disaster, and we get that sort of funding and that
sort of support to help out. we got a new road put in over there, which is a big
deal because, we're in the middle of the forest! so the fact that they had to
build a new road to make a new fire line it's kind-of a big deal! so excuse me
from kind of sweaty! it's also the middle of summer, and *laughs* Tam's peeking at me
through the window up there-- PEEK-A-BOO!! *laughs*
but uh, if you look at my my outside thermostat
right there, I'm sitting in the shade and it's ninety degrees! so it's a hot summer
day and we have a fire nearby, so that's not helping with the moisture in the air!
but yeah, so that's just my life right now guys,
that's why I haven't really been on the social media things too much. haven't
been making many videos, because my collection is safely packed away. I did
that several days ago, guys. like, um-- we haven't been put on evacuation notice at
all yet, but just to be safe, I went ahead and packed my entire ElfQuest collection
away, so that it's ready to run if we need to. of course, it's some of my most
beloved things that I have. of course, I do have other things, you know, family
heirlooms, and whatnot, ready to go as well, but with my ElfQuest collection
being one of my most important possessions, I did get that ready to go,
in case we need to evacuate. so far, so good! but uh-- that kinda messed
up my plans of reorganizing my collection sometime soon for a live
stream, or just a vlog. but uh, don't worry guys! once this fire is dealt with,
sometime hopefully within the next month or so, then I will be able to put my
collection back up, and I will still do that live stream or that vlog! just hang
in there with me guys! I'm not exactly sure what the videos are getting to be
like for the next... I don't know, month or two... the last I saw a containment date for
this fire, was going to be October 31st, and it's now July 25th or 26th! I'm not
sure on the day. it's my day off! *laughs* but uh, so we might be at this for a couple
months, and I'm not exactly sure what what videos are gonna be like. I will try
to vlog if anything happens. of course, real life is going to take precedence
over everything! so if I gotta get out of here, I'm not gonna vlog it, guys. so-- oh
great guys; now the fire's drawing bears out! there's a bear just running away
from my house right there! yeah, so guys that's another drawback to this fire
going on; is that it draws out the-uh-- the wildlife that lives back in the forest.
and we already have a bear-- slight bear problem. we've had a bear that, last year
came and ate our chickens. and we were able to scare him off.
he hibernated for the winter, and we didn't think he was gonna come back this
year, but I think the fire drew him back out. I literally just saw him steal
whatever that was in the yard... I think it might have been a trash bag, that he
might have even dragged out on another visit... excuse me if I'm not talking
directly to the camera guys! I'm keeping an eye out for this bear, because this is
a legitimate BEAR! real wildlife bear that comes in... it ate our wildlife last--or it
ate our livestock last year. it ate two of our chickens? three of our
chickens/ I can't remember... those are the-- those are the survivors right there.
those are our two surviving chickens. two hens; one right there, one over there.
yeah, so the bear ate our rooster and either one or two of
our hens last year. I think we had five chickens, so I think ate-- I think it ate
two of our hens and our rooster. I loved our rooster! I named him Littletrill!
but the bear ate him!
we've still got two hens. we just got some new little baby chickens. they're called "Banty" chickens
because they're like, a miniature breed. they're tiny! they're like-- they fit in
my hand! I hold my new little rooster, which I call a Fuzzy Feet, because he has
feathers on his feet-- and I hold him and pet him! he's so cute! he's about the size of like
a dove, or like just a small pigeon, or bird like that.
anyway, but big-big THANK YOU
to our firefighters, and just everybody that's working on this
Natchez fire out here! thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! I literally
live about three miles away, and I want to cry just trying to thank you guys,
because I don't want to lose my home! this is my home; I love it! I've lived
here for-- now *I've* only lived here for probably like five years, but this is the
house my husband grew up in! and it's very important to us, so thank you! from
the bottom of my heart! from the bottom of my family's heart, to all the
firefighters out there! keep it up, guys! keep it up! keep us safe, and yeah! thank
you so much! stay tuned guys! I'll let you know! hopefully the next vlog will be a
little more happier than this! but uh, you know, we got a-- we got a forest fire just
three miles away! so Mandy's a bit nervous! so we're good, I
just want to reiterate; we are safe! we're fine! we haven't been put on evacuation
notice at all, but we're ready to go in case we have to... and that's gonna be
probably one of the worst things that already ever happen in my life, if we
have to leave and lose our house... but let's hope it doesn't come to that... um-
again, I hear choppers going over, which to me, is very odd. I live in the middle
of the woods and so, to hear helicopters and planes and construction equipment
going on really close is just super odd. but it's somewhat comforting... it's a
little bit bittersweet, but it's a little comforting as well, because I know the
sounds are them keeping us safe. that the-- it's them doing their work! Them doing
their jobs, and these guys are awesome! these guys are doing what they can!
they're doing their best! and Thank You Firefighters! we love you!
Sunstar, the community up here, thanks you for your efforts!! I think I hear
another chopper coming, so maybe I'll try to get that one on the on the video for
you guys. I'll get my sobby-face off of here.
*helicopter flying*
oh, i see it...
yup, that one's got a bucket...
get it guys!!
right over my house!
here comes another one... see if this one has the bucket or not...
whoop, there it is...
that one... yep that's got a bucket...
yep there it is. another bucket helicopter, heading away from the fire.
there it goes. right over the roof of my house... so it's going right over my house again, guys.
uhh---i hear another chopper... I don't know if that one's gonna go over
our heads but...
oh yeah, I think it is...
oh yup, there it is. yep there goes another one...
another bucket chopper, leaving the fire...
and...right over my house...
again.
stay tuned guys. in any case, stay tuned! and thank you so much
for watching, and from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters once again,
thank you! and from the bottom of my heart to anybody watching this, thank you!
and thank you for your support! thank you for sending any prayers, or anything like
that! we're okay! we're good, doing okay... but just-- I'm emotional, and so I cry a
lot, and this is definitely hitting that trigger of making me want to cry! so...
until next guy-- until next time guys, uh-- wish me luck, send me prayers, and I'll
see you in the next video, or you'll see me in the next video? whatever, I feel like
I'm copying other YouTubers at this point-- *laughs nervously*
but uh, keep your chin up! I'm gonna keep my chin up, guys!
I love you all!

The Death Mask Of Jeremy Bentham - Duration: 0:56.
This is the death mask of Jeremy Bentham.
Bentham was a philosopher ahead of his time, agitating for prison reform, animal rights,
and universal suffrage.
His legacy, however, lies in how his remains were preserved.
Bentham asked for his head to be mummified and displayed at University College London.
Today, post-mortem and mummified, he attends every University council meeting,
recorded as "present but not voting," except when the vote is split—
when he is granted the deciding "in favor" vote.
Believe it or not, his head has been stolen numerous times, being either ransomed back
or returned after being used as a soccer ball.

Commercial Color Grading | Using Color To Match A Family of Images Free Tutorial Excerpt RGG EDU - Duration: 7:12.
(upbeat music)
- I'm ready to go in here and start making some changes.
Once again, I'm gonna follow the Adobe camera raw
smart filter workflow, and see if I can really
effect that overall balanced change here first
before doing anything in Photoshop.
Once again, let's do our macro to micro changes,
just a small change in the temperature I think
is fine overall, just to push everything in
that direction of warmth.
I'm not seeing any major differences in saturation here,
contrast looks consistent, once again,
these have already been retouched,
but I think overall we're gonna drop
the exposure a bit.
Because in these images, the color's really dependent
on the exposure, it's gonna be different.
You could have the same exact palette in these
two images, if they have dramatically different exposures,
that color's gonna look quite a bit different.
Now just because I'm dropping the exposure image wide
doesn't mean I can't make a bit of a targeted adjustment
in order to bring some focus back to the center
of the image.
So I'm using the adjustment brush,
which I actually wanna zero out.
Click reset local correction settings,
that's gonna zero it out, and I just wanna crank
the exposure back up in here.
Now in Photoshop, moves like this are counterproductive,
it's what I usually refer to as cross curving,
but in camera raw, we have so much information
to work with and it's really a light touch
that we're able to make opposing adjustments
and not destroy the image.
And I'm gonna brighten it up just a bit more.
Hit enter to exit, and H to return to the hand tool,
and all of our controls for camera raw.
Next I'm gonna follow the steps and move into
split toning, now remember that those shadows
were all warm, they were in the red zone.
Now this is pretty dramatic, but it helps me
to see, once I use the balance slider,
how I'm compressing the tonal range
that the split tone is applied to,
and then I can bring that back down
to a reasonable level.
I'm not even gonna mess with the highlights,
I'm gonna keep those where they are.
Now I'm gonna move into my HSL adjustments,
the sort of wild card hue in this image
looks to be the blues, I don't really see
any blues in our targets, so eliminating those
will get us a little bit closer to a good family.
Maybe I can shift these blues into a warmer hue.
They're going purple, and it doesn't really look
like it's able to push them that far
around the color wheel.
So in that case, I'm just gonna see
if I can de saturate those.
I think that's an improvement right there,
it gets 'em out of the way.
I'm gonna take a look at the yellows
and see if I can push those a little bit warmer
because here they're still a little bit pale.
I don't know if it's gonna be able to grab them or not,
but yeah, I like that move definitely.
You can most see that move in the bottles here.
We've got some greens in here that are close enough
to these two very different greens to talk to each other.
I'm gonna click OK.
Do a little before and after.
That's a pretty dramatic quick change
just using ACR.
This is pretty close with minimal effort,
but now that I'm seeing 'em side by side
I know I wanna make a couple more tweaks.
I'm gonna go back into camera raw,
and I think I can just open up this bottle a bit
with a couple more targeted adjustments.
Now I kind of broke my rules of working
in a targeted way in the raw, but that's fine
because these targeted adjustments
are also completely editable forever.
We can delete them if we need to,
and that really heroes the bottle out.
Okay, so I think I might dial that back
just a little bit, and it's useful too
to see how I can go in there and edit
those targeted adjustments that I made.
So I'm gonna peel that back just a little bit,
runnin' a little hot.
So that's a pretty clean grade on an
already graded image.
You see how quickly that works,
how easily I'm able to make those adjustments.
We started with an image that was our target
and were able to extract all that information
about the color, some pretty critical information,
about what color the darks were,
and then through comparing the two color wheels
with that little screen grab overlay trick I showed you,
that is another tool in the toolbox to help you
compare the two color situations that you're seeing.
That's a great look, it's something
that I have to deal with all the time.
I'm having to pair two images together to family them.
Clients are constantly asking me to create
similarities between two different images,
for whatever use they need.
So I was able to use our new Color CC tricks
in order to analyze the color that's in my target image,
I'm able to use really quick methods with camera raw
in order to effect the change, and not destroy
any information in the image.

Let's Import the "3D Extruder" action
This action creates a 3D depth by duplicating the layer and moving the duplicated layer to the bottom and reduce its width and height by 0.1% every time.
Select the "Text" Layer and run the "Depth" action 75 times.
The action creates a smaller new duplicated layer and send it to the bottom to give you a 3d depth as seen.
Select the 75 layers and group "3D Depth".
Leave "Text" layer outside
Double-click "Text Copy" layer to open Layer Style window
Check Bevel & Emboss and add these values
Copy layer style and paste it to the 75 layers
Select first layer then hold SHIFT and select the last one to select them all
Right-click and Paste Layer Style

You can control the 3D depth length by hiding the bottom layers
Double-click "Text" layer to open Layer Style
